TOOK MY VEHICLE TO LOCAL DEALER, THEY REFUSED MY SERVICE. CONTACTED MANUFACTURER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY HAVE RIGHT TO REFUSE MY RECALL I NEED TO GO ELSEWHERE. THEY ARE PUTTING MY EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS LIVES AT RISK AND UNWILLING TO SERVICE MY VEHICLES SAFETY RECALL FOR CARBON MONOXIDE AT MY LOCAL DEALER.
SAFETY LATCH ON SPARE TIRE WINCH LOWERING SYSTEM WON'T DIS ENGAGE. SPARE TIRE CAN'T BE ACCESSED TO REPLACE FLAT TIRE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, ESPECIALLY WHEN STRANDED ON THE ROAD SHOULDER EXPOSED TO HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC. THE AAA TOW TRUCK DRIVER SAID THAT THIS A FREQUENT PROBLEM WITH GM PRODUCTS AND HAS SINCE BEEN REDESIGNED. SHOULDN'T GM FIX THEIR PREVIOUS MISTAKES.
A RECALL WAS ISSUED OVER A YEAR AGO REGARDING UNSAFE AIRBAGS. I AM UNABLE TO USE MY VEHICLE AS DESIRED DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS AND I HAVE AN AIRBAG WARNING INDICATOR THAT IS CONSTANTLY ON IN THE VEHICLE.
BRAKE LIGHT SENSOR CONSTANTLY DEFECTIVE. REPLACE ABOUT 6 TIMES. TRANSMISSION JERKED ALL THE TIME. WON'T GO INTO DRIVE BUT WILL GO INTO REVERSE. MAKES A VERY LOUD CLANKING NOISES.

TAKAKA AIRBAG RECALL. ON 8/2/17 DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD 8:45AM PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYS N THEN DRIVER SIDE DEPLOYS NEVER HIT ANYTHING. STATE HIGHWAY 21 SOUTH BOUND APPROX 1/4 TO 1/2 MILE NORTH OF 21 AND 47 HIGHWAY INTERSECTION IN THE CADET MISSOURI AREA. TRAVELING ABOUT 60 MPH.

SEAT BELT RECEPTACLE WILL NOT ACCEPT THE HARNESS BUCKLE. NEED TO USE A SCREWDRIVER TO PUSH THE TAB OVER FAR ENOUGH TO LATCH. NO REPLACEMENTS CAN BE FOUND.

IN ADDITION, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO ILLUMINATE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS FAILED TO OPERATE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. MY VEHICLE HAS 8 OR SO CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD. TWO OF WHICH ARE BY THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WHICH CREATES A SAFETY HAZARD MEANING IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY FRAGMENTS OF THE DASH COULD IMPAIR ONE SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OR OTHERS IN THE VEHICLE. I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I HAVE TALKED WITH MY LOCAL DEALER AND GENERAL MOTORS TWICE ABOUT THIS CONCERN AND NO ACTIONS WERE TAKEN. WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE THERE WAS ONLY THE ONE CRACK NEAR THE CORNER OF THE AIRBAG AND HAS SINCE GOTTEN WORSE.

THE VEHICLE DROVE INTO A FIELD, STRUCK A TELEPHONE POLE, SPUN AROUND, AND LANDED IN A DITCH. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A BROKEN NECK THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
ALL BRAKE LINES ARE ERODING, RUSTING OUT TO THE POINT WHERE THEY HAVE TO BE REPLACED...HAD A BRAKE LINE TO THE REAL WHEELS BLOW OUT ON ME AS AS WAS LEAVING A BANK I DO MY BUSINESS WITH. HAD TO REPLACE A SECTION OF IT.UPON INSPECTION OF THE OTHER LINES THEY ARE ALL RUSTED TO THE POINT THE IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THEY FAIL. VEHICLE HAD 75000 MILES WHEN THIS HAPPENED, IT NOW HAS 80000 MILES ON IT.

DRIVERS SEAT BELT LATCH BROKE. COULD NOT LATCH SEAT BELT BEFORE DRIVING. UPON INSPECTION, CAN SEE SOMETHING IN THE LATCH IS BROKEN, AS IT LOOKS DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER LATCHES. I CAN USUALLY GET IT TO LATCH BY PRESSING THE RELEASE BUTTON WHILE INSERTING THE TAB PORTION AND JIGGLING, ETC. THIS TAKES FROM A FEW SECONDS TO A FEW MINUTES, AND IS QUITE FRUSTRATING. ALSO, I AM UNSURE AS TO HOW SECURE THE LATCH MECHANISM IS NOW.
DUE TO CORROSION IN UNDERCARRIAGE THE PURGE VALVE AND FUEL SYSTEM ARE RUSTED OUT.FUEL LINE HAD TO BE REPLACED FRONT TO BACK AT A COST OF 1397.78 MECHANIC AT CHEVYDEALER SAID UNDERCARRIAGE IS VERY RUSTY. TRUCK HAS 40937 MI. TRUCK WAS NEVER DRIVEN IN SNOW OR WHEN ROADS WERE HEAVY SALTED.
1. MY TAKATA INFLATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ON MY 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO AND, IS A RECALL ITEM, AND GENERAL MOTORS IS USING DELAYING TACTICS RATHER THAN REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE PART(S). THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. NOW MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND AFTER LOOKING AT THE RECALL LIST AND DESCRIPTION IT SAYS: SAFETY RISK: THE PROPELLANT IN SOME TYPES OF TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS CAN DEGRADE OVER TIME, ESPECIALLY AFTER LONG TERM EXPOSURE IN HOT AND HUMID REGIONS. IF THE PROPELLANT DEGRADES TO A CERTAIN LEVEL, THE INFLATORS MAY RUPTURE DURING DEPLOYMENT, CAUSING SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURIES. REMEDY: THE NECESSITY OF A REMEDY IS DEPENDENT UPON NHTSA'S DECISION ON GM'S PETITION FOR INCONSEQUENTIALITY. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOLLOWING THAT DECISION. I BELIEVE THIS IS A TAKATA INFLATOR RECALL ISSUE. THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN STAYING ON SINCE ABOUT MAY 1, 2017. I NOTICED IT ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE HAD NO KIND OF IMPACTS OR COLLISIONS. I JUST WENT TO THE NHTAS.GOV SITE FOR RECALLS AND FOUND THAT THIS VEHICLE IS PART OF THE AIRBAG MFG RECALL #2049152 AND NHTSA RECALL #16V383. I BOUGHT IT USED LAST YEAR. IS THIS VEHICLE SAFE TO DRIVE?

TAKATA RECALL- I RECIEVED A NOTICE OVER A YEAR AGO ABOUT THE AIRBAG ISSUE AND STILL NO RESOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND. I BELIEVE MORE THAN ADEQUATE TIME HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO RESEARCH A SOLUTION AND EMPLOYMENT A REPLACEMENT. MEANWHILE OPERATORS AND PASSENGERS ARE PUT IN HARMS WAY WITH THE U UNKNOWN OF IF THE SAFETY PRODUCTS WE PURCHASED WILL FUNCTION PROPERLY IF NEEDED. OTHER- I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL DEALERS AND EVERY ONE HAS TOLD ME THAT THE PLASTIC USED ON MY VEHICLES DASH HAS BECOME BRITTLE AND BROKEN. THIS INCLUDED ALL SILVERADO TRUCK FROM 2007-2013. ONE EVEN MENTIONED THAT IT COULD POSSIBLE AFFECT THE FUNCTION OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM... IF IT EVEN FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. YET, NO ATTENTION TO THIS BY GM.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: 09184B (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000. DRIVING DOWN A PAVED ROAD AT APX 40 MILES AN HOUR AND HEARD A LOUD SOUND LIKE A SHOT GUN GOING OFF, MY DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT CLAMPED DOWN AND THE FLASHERS ON THE TRUCK TURNED ON. STARTLED I PULLED OVER AND HAD TO STRUGGLE TO GET THE SEAT BELT OFF. HAD TO SHUT OFF AND RESTART VEHICLE, NOW SEAT BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WON'T WORK, THEY ARE LOCKED IN POSITION. AFTER CONTACTING LOCAL DEALER I WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE AND I HAD TO REPLACE BOTH SEAT BELTS. I AM BRUISED FROM THE SEAT BELT AND VERY HAPPY THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES AROUND AS THE DISORIENTATION FROM THE EVENT VERY WELL COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT.
