SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE STABILITY CONTROL WARNING LIGHT WOULD FLASH, THE DOOR LOCKS WOULD CYCLE AND THE GAUGES WOULD STOP WORKING. AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE WARNING LIGHT WOULD GO OFF AND THE TRUCK WOULD RETURN TO NORMAL. *TR I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND I WAS INFORMED THAT BOTH BATTERY CABLES HAD HIGH RESISTANCE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT BATTERY CABLES NEED TO BE REPLACED AT 62000 MILES. THE SERVICE ADVISER MADE A COMMENT THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM BUT IT USUALLY HAPPENS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.
I HAVE A 2009 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500. THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I STARTED THE CAR. I NOTICED THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS EXACT THING IN THE YEAR AND MAKE OF MY VEHICLE. MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. AFTER TALKING TO A CHEVY REPRESENTATIVE THEY INDICATED THE BEST WAY TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM WAS TO MAKE A CLAIM BECAUSE IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM SEEN IN OTHER 2009 CHEVY SILVERADOS, AND MY VIN MAY BE ACCEPTED THROUGH THE CLAIM. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED IN MISSOURI, A STATE THAT UNDER THE RECALL OF SOME OF THESE VEHICLES QUALIFIED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT BOTH AIR BAG SENSORS CORRODED WHICH CONTRIBUTED TO THE UNEXPECTED DEPLOYMENT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,300.
DASHBOARD ABOVE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG HAS CRACKED , IF AIRBAG DEPLOYS PLASTIC FROM DASHBOARD WILL BREAK& BECOME AIRBORNE---- EYE AND FACE SAFETY HAZARD. IT SHOULD BE RECALLED AND REPLACED WITH BETTER QUALITY MATERIAL. GUESS IT IS CHEAPER TO REPLACE AN EYE THAN A CRACKED DASHBOARD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, A LOUD METAL TO METAL DRAGGING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE LEAF SPRING WAS FRACTURED AND REMAINED CONNECTED TO THE ASSEMBLY. THE SHARP EDGE OF THE LEAF SPRING CAUSED NUMEROUS CUTS TO THE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING THE STABILITRAK LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN THE ABS LIGHT. IT STAYED ON, SO I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED IT WAS THE BRAKE SWITCH AND HE REPLACED IT. IT HAS BEEN FINE UNTIL RECENTLY, WHEN IT CAME ON AGAIN AND MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE STICKING ON, SO I REPLACED THE BRAKE SWITCH AGAIN. SO, FAR IT'S STAYED OFF. MY CONCERN IS THAT MY TRUCK MY START HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS OUR OTHER GM VEHICLE, WHICH ALSO INVOLVES THE STABILITRAK/TRACTION CONTROL/REDUCED POWER LIGHTS COMING ON. REDUCED POWER IS DANGEROUS WHILE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY ON THE INTERSTATE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. I HAVE READ GM FORUMS AND HAVE FOUND THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN HAPPENING AS FAR BACK AS 6 YEARS, AND GM STILL HAS NOT FIGURED OUT HOW TO FIX IT.
THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE DASH READOUT GAVE A LOW OIL PRESSURE WARNING. THE TRUCK WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THEY SAID IT WAS A BAD OIL PRESSURE SENSOR AND REPLACED IT AT A COST OF APPROXIMATELY $450.00. FIVE MONTHS LATER THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY TOWING A HORSE TRAILER. I AGAIN HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED INTO THE DEALER. THEY SAID THE OIL WAS LOW AND DID AN OIL CHANGE. THE WARNING LIGHT WAS OFF WHEN WE GOT THE TRUCK BACK. THE LATEST INCIDENT HAPPENED ON 4/18/2015. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. I BROUGHT THE TRUCK TO AN AUTO PARTS STORE WHERE THEY READ THE FAULT CODE. THE CODE IS P0521 - OIL PRESSURE SENSOR OR OIL LOW. I CHECKED THE OIL IT WAS NEARLY FULL BUT I ADDED A LITTLE ANYWAY. THE LIGHT STAYED ON. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALER. THE LIGHT WENT OFF THE DAY BEFORE OUR APPOINTMENT. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THE TRUCK PROBABLY NEEDS AN OIL PUMP AND A VALVE COVER AND IT WILL COST APPROXIMATELY $1075.00 TO FIX. I HAVE DONE EXTENSIVE RESEARCH ON THIS PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF OWNER COMPLAINTS ON VARIOUS WEBSITES DOCUMENTING THE SAME PROBLEM I AM HAVING. THERE APPEARS TO BE A DEFECT IN THE DESIGN OF THE OIL SYSTEM IN THESE VEHICLES. MY TRUCK JUST WENT OUT OF WARRANTY IN DECEMBER 2014. THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR THIS REPAIR EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR REPAIRS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. THIS APPEARS TO BE A SERIOUS PRODUCT DEFECT AND GM SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL. *TR
DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT POPS UP, TRACTIONS CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHT, ALONG WITH DIGITAL DISPLAY SAYING SEVERAL THINGS. SUCH AS, ENGINE REDUCED POWER, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL SOON..........PULLED OVER, HAD A VERY ROUGH IDLE. MADE IT TO PARTS STORE AND HAVE THE TRUCK SCANNED. TURNS OUT IT NEED THE THROTTLE POSITIONING SENSOR NEEDS REPLACED. HAD THEM CLEAR THE CODE, DROVE FEW MORE MILES AND ALL HAPPENS AGAIN. *TR
2009 CHEVROLET TRUCK BEGAN TO REDUCE POWER AND CHECK THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND STARTED SURGING. *MW THE CONSUMER STATED IT SEEMED AT TIMES, THE VEHICLE WAS GOING TO STALL, BUT INSTEAD IT WOULD SURGE UP TO 30 MPH. IT JERKED, THEN IT WOULD GO. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE FOOT PEDAL APPLICATION SENSOR WAS REPLACED. ON JANUARY 3, 2014, WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN AND POWER TO THE VEHICLE, WAS SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OUT AGAIN. THE DEALER FOUND HIGH RESISTANCE IN THE APPLICATION SENSOR CIRCUITS AND REPLACED A FAULTY SENSOR CIRCUIT.*JB
THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS IN JANUARY 2014 WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 55 MPH THE DOOR LOCKS STARTED TO CYCLE RAPIDLY, THE GAUGES ALL WENT TO ZERO, THE AIRBAG REDINESS LIGHT CAME ON AND A SERVICE STABILITRAC MESSAGE APPEARED. THE NEXT DAY THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START, AFTER MOVING THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL COVER TO TRY AND JUMP THE BATTERY ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE STARTED WITHOUT NEEDING TO BE JUMPED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY CHECKED EVERYTHING AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG. NO CODES WERE STORED. THEY INSPECTED THE UNDER HOOD FUSE BLOCK AND THE BATTERY PIN TENSION, BOTH WERE GOOD. THE VEHICLE HAS RUN FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS UNTIL NOVEMBER 2014, NOW IT HAS STARTED DOING THE EXACT SAME THING AS IT WAS DOING IN JANUARY. I WILL BE CONTACTING MY LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER AND THE CHEVROLET REGIONAL MANAGER AGAIN. ALSO IT SEEMS VERY UNUSUAL THAT THE DEALER AND THE REGIONAL MANAGER HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM. THE CHEVROLET FORUMS ARE FULL OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES, ALSO THERE IS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM. *TR
THE DASH CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES AND THE DOOR TRIMS ARE ALL FALLING OFF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD FRACTURED FROM HEAT STRESS. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
WAS JUST LEAVING FUNERAL AND STARTED VEHICLE THEN SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRAK, TRACTION CONTROL OFF, STABILITRAK OFF, LOSS OF CONTROL NOTICED DISPLAYED. TRIED TO DRIVE BUT EXPERIENCED BUCKING AND DRASTIC POWER LOSS. TOOK TO DEALER WHO SAID FAILURE WAS DUE TO FAULTY THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR - A PROBLEM HE INDICATED WAS RECURRING FOR THAT VEHICLE. LUCKILY HE SERVICED UNDER VEHICLE WARRANTY. BUT DISAPPOINTING TO SEE AT LESS THAN 40,000 MILES. *TR
THE PROBLEM; SERVICE AIR BAG ILLUMINATES AND SHOWS UP IN THE MESSAGE CENTER. WENT TO CHEVROLET DEALER AND THEY TRIED TO CLEAR THE CODE WITH THE READER AND NO LUCK. THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START, IT COULD BE ANYTHING THEY SAID. I DON'T WANT TO DUMP THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO RESEARCH A PROBLEM THEY DON'T KNOW IF THEY CAN CURE. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE? 2009 CHEVROLET 2500HD DIESEL. *TR
CRACKED DASH AROUND GAUGE CLUSTER AND PASSENGER AIR BAG. POTENTIAL HAZARD IF AIR BAG DEPLOYS.
DASH BOARD IS CRACKED AND CONTINUES TO CRACK. IT RATTLES HORRIBLY AND THE MAJOR CONCERN IS THAT IF THE AIR BAGS ARE DEPLOYED, SHARP HARD PIECES OF PLASTIC WILL BE SHOT THROUGHOUT THE TRUCK INTERIOR OR THE CRACKED DASH COULD PUNCTURE THE AIR BAG MAKING THE AIR BAG USELESS.
DRIVING ON I10 HEADING TO HOUSTON, THE ENTIRE TRUCK COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN, AND THEN TURNED BACK ON, THIS AGAIN HAPPENED 02/2014....THE WHOLE TRUCK SHUT DOWN , THANK GOD THE WHEELS DID NOT LOCK UP OR WE WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED BOTH TIMES. IT IS AT THE DEALERS ...FREEDOM CHEVY SAN ANTONIO TX....SOMETHING IS BAD ON THE TRUCK...LIKE PLAYING WITH A LIGHT SWITCH...THE DASH, EVERY INSTRUMENT SHUT OFF BOTH TIMES, NOW I AM WORRIED THAT IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN, AND I CAN NOT AFFORD ANOTHER TRUCK. I THOUGHT THAT THE 1ST TIME WAS JUST A FLUKE, BUT WHEN IT DID IT AGAIN, I KNOW NOW SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT AND IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR ME AND MY LITTLE GIRL...PLEASE REPLY IF A HUMAN REALLY READS THIS. *TR
"TAKATA RECALL" NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO HONOR RECALL REPAIR
AFTER UNLOCKING THE MANUAL DOOR LOCK ON THE TRUCK THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE WOULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR. THE LOCK WAS DISCONNECTED FROM THE INTERIOR LOCKING MECHANISM, EFFECTIVELY TRAPPING ME IN MY VEHICLE. AT THIS TIME I UNROLLED THE WINDOW AND USED THE KEY IN THE OUTSIDE DOOR TO TRY TO UNLOCK THE DOOR, BUT THE LOCK WAS JAMMED AND I WAS UNABLE TO LEAVE MY VEHICLE USING EITHER THE INSIDE OR THE OUTSIDE HANDLE OR LOCKS OR THE DRIVER DOOR. I WAS FORCED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM AND SEEMS TO OCCUR MOST OFTEN AFTER RAINFALL OR A CAR WASH. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION, CAR FIRE OR WATER CRASH OR OTHER EMERGENCY THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE FATAL AND SHOULD BE RECALLED TO PROTECT PEOPLE FROM BEING TRAPPED IN THEIR VEHICLES. IT IS ALSO NOTABLE THAT CONSUMER REPORTS HAS LISTED "LOCKS AND LATCHES" AS A COMMON PROBLEM AREA FOR A 2009 SILVERADO. I CONTACTED A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND THEY REFUSED FULLY COVER THE REPAIR COST, WHICH WAS WELL OVER $250 AND THEY STATED THAT THE "DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR WAS DEFECTIVE". THE CORPORATE GM PHONE CALL CENTER WAS NOT HELPFUL AND TOLD ME IT WOULD NOT BE FULLY COVERED BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WAS JUST OUT OF BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. I BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED TO PROTECT CONSUMERS. *TR
EXTREME CHATTERING OF THE REAR BRAKES UPON APPLICATION WAS OBSERVED BY THE OWNER/DRIVER, INCLUDING LOCK-UP OF THE REAR WHEELS (EVEN THOUGH ABS EQUIPPED). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE AUTONATION CHEVROLET SUPERSTITION SPRINGS DEALERSHIP (6330 E. SUPERSTITION SPRINGS BLVD, MESA, ARIZONA 85206) FOR INSPECTION AND REPAIR (SELLING DEALER). THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED THE OWNER THAT BOTH REAR BRAKE SLAVE CYLINDERS HAD FAILED AND LEAKED HYDRAULIC FLUID ONTO THE LININGS. THIS LEAKAGE HAD CAUSED THE STICKING OF THE LININGS TO THE BRAKE DRUMS AND RESULTING CHATTERING/LOCKUP OF THE BRAKES. POST REPAIR, THERE HAVE BEEN NO FURTHER ISSUES IN THE LAST 3000 MILES OF USE. THE REPAIR WAS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CUSTOMER. AS THIS OCCURRED AT 36094 MILES AND FOUR YEARS OF SERVICE IN RESIDENTIAL USE, I CONSIDER THIS A PRODUCT FAILURE DUE TO SOME FORM OF MANUFACTURING AND/OR INSTALLATION DEFECT WITH THE BRAKE SLAVE CYLINDERS. IN 40+ YEARS OF AUTOMOBILE OWNERSHIP OF MANY BRANDS WITH MILEAGES INTO THE 140K+ RANGE, I HAVE NEVER HAD A SLAVE CYLINDER FAILURE, NOR HAVE I EVER HEARD OF A DUAL FAILURE. THIS WAS THE SAME COMMENT BY THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALER. PLEASE INVESTIGATE, OR AT A MINIMUM, ADD THIS TO YOUR WATCH LIST DATABASE. I REVIEWED THE NHTSA'S WEBSITE LIST OF DEFECTS, BUT FOUND NOTHING REGARDING THIS TYPE OF INCIDENT. THE FACT THAT IT WAS A DUAL COMPONENT FAILURE AND COULD HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT IF HARD BRAKING HAD BEEN REQUIRED BY THE OPERATOR, THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. I ATTEMPTED TO DO SO PERSONALLY, BUT FOUND THE EXPERIENCE UNSATISFACTORY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO RELEASE THE SPARE TIRE FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IT FAILED TO RELEASE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE WIRE CONNECTED TO THE SPARE TIRE WAS TAMPERED WITH AND AS A RESULT CAUSED THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE SENSOR TO MALFUNCTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
CPSC:I13B0038A. 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. CONSUMER STATED THE DASHBOARD RECENTLY CRACKED AFTER A RECENT COLD SNAP OF WEATHER. *LN GM OFFERED THE CONSUMER A 50% DISCOUNT, OFF THE $1,000 IT WOULD COST TO REPAIR IT. HOWEVER, THY WOULD NOT ADMIT IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW.
STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN, AND TRUCK WOULD NOT MOVE SO I BACKUP THEN IT WENT AHEAD. THE FIRST CORNER I WENT AROUND HEARD A SCRAPPING SOUND. WENT TO DEALER TRUCK HAD 16615 MI. ON IT , HAD 16615 MILES ON WHEN I GOT IT BACK, THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG. HAD SAME TROUBLE 2 DAYS LATER WENT BACK TO DEALER THEN THEY TOLD ME BOTH REAR SEALS WERE LEAKING THAT ALSO RUINED BOTH REAR BRAKE CYLINDERS. ALL WAS REPLACED THEY SAID WAS NOT COVERED ON MY WARRANTY COST 191.20 REAR WHEEL SEALS, 98.08 FOR REAR WHEEL BRAKE CYLINDERS. GM WAS NO HELP.
TAKATA RECALL MY DASHBOARD IS CRACKED IN 3 PLACES NEAR THE AIRBAG. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE MY WARRANTY WAS UP THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERN WITH THE CRACKS BREING SO CLOSE TO WHERE THE AIRBAG IS LOCATED, BUT THEY DID NOTHING ABOUT IT.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED FOR THE DAY WHILE I WORKED. ENTERED AND STARTED VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE MESSAGE CENTER INDICATED "SERVICE AIRBAGS" MESSAGE. THE MESSAGE WOULD COME AND GO WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT FOR THE DEALER TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. IN NOVEMBER OF 2013 THE SERVICE AIRBAG MESSAGE STAYED ON, TOOK VEHICLE IN AND HAD THE FRONT PASSANGER SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR REPLACED. THIS RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. ONE MONTH LATER (DECEMBER 2013) THE SAME THING HAPPENED AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR. HAD THE SENSOR REPLACED, RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. *TR
I NOTICED THAT THE THAT THE CONSOLE UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN STARTED TO CRACK. NOTHING HAPPENED TO CAUSE THE ISSUE AT ALL. THEN ABOUT A YEAR LATER I NOTICED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEAR THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ALSO BEGAN TO CRACK. OF COURSE AT THIS TIME THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, AND I WOULD HAVE TO REPAIR OUT OF POCKET IF I WANTED FIXED. THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER THINGS LIKE THE AUTOMATIC LOCK ACTUATOR MALFUNCTIONED. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PARTICULAR YEAR WORKMANSHIP. FOR THIS REASON, I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED ANOTHER VEHICLE, AND DID NOT CONSIDER CHEVY AT ALL. THEY NEED TO STEP UP AND FIX THIS ISSUE. IT OBVIOUSLY IS A DEFECT THAT IS A VENDOR ISSUE. *TR

THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED WAS ON THE SAME ROAD A YEAR LATER DRIVING THROUGH THE DESERT. I FINALLY REALIZED THE PROBLEM WAS THE HEAT, WHEN IT HAPPENED AT MY HOME TOWN IN JAMUL, CA WHEN IT WAS OVER 100 DEGREES. THE LOW FUEL WARNING NEVER CAME ON AND THE GAUGE SAID FULL. I TURNED THE TRUCK ON AND OFF AND IT STILL SAID FULL. THE GAUGE CORRECTED AFTER I ADDED FUEL. I INQUIRED AT THE DEALER IF THERE WERE ANY RECALLS AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOT. *TR
MY 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO WAS PARKED FOR TWO DAYS. IT WAS RUNNING PERFECTLY UP UNTIL IT WAS PARKED..AFTER TWO DAYS OF BEING PARKED IN THE RAIN,THE REAR TAIL LIGHT SUDDENLY WENT ON BY ITSELF. AFTER PICKING IT UP TODAY,THEY CHARGED ME $1555 TO REPAIR,YET COULD NOT PROVIDE A LOGICAL REASON WHY THIS HAPPENED! THEY SAID"CORROSION" IN THE FUSE PANEL. HOW COULD A VEHICLE MADE IN 2009 WITH 72,000 MILES HAVE A PROBLEM SUCH AS THIS WITHOUT A MAJOR ISSUE BEING WRONG? I FEAR FOR OTHER'S SAFETY,AS I BELIEVE THERE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE GOING ON.
