Vehicle has 30,000 miles. Started the Vehicle in the morning and for no apparent reason the power steering was out. Error messages on the Dash were Service Power Steering and Service ESC
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission experienced hard shifting and the front end was shaking and vibrating abnormally. The contact stated that the hard shifting mostly occurred while shifting from first to second gear. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
On September 11 at approx. 1630 hrs. my wife and I were going out for dinner. I stopped at a stop light on a hill. Transmission in Drive, foot on the brake. Our truck suddenly started rolling backward. I looked at the dash, no warning lights, gauges still working, transmission in drive, I stood on the brake pedal, no effect, I put the transmission in park, no effect, I engaged the parking brake, no effect other than the parking brake warning light came on. We had rolled back approximately 50 feet. I looked in my rearview mirror and observed a car approaching. Luckily he/she saw my problem and stopped. Things suddenly started coming back to life and came to a gentle stop. When I looked in my mirror I was so close to the car behind me all I could see was his windshield, no hood. I moved the transmission from park to drive and we continued on. I have contacted the dealer and they are attempting to determine what happened. However, I am afraid this will happen to someone else who may not be as lucky as I was or that it may happen to me again. I pull a 5th wheel trailer with this truck.
My truck has a vibration when going down the highway at speeds of 70 mph. The dealer has done a transmission flush but still have the same issue. I am afraid that the driveshaft or the transmission may lock up while we are on the highway with the family.
Started to drive my truck this morning and it was driving very rough. Dashboard warning lights came on; SERVICE PARKING BRAKE, SERVICE ESC, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT, PARKING BRAKE ON INDICATOR. None of this was happening yesterday. It just happened this morning. This truck only has 7,100 miles on it.
We were driving on the interstate and all the sudden my driver’s side rear tire lost all of its air. Happened very quickly. Upon inspection, the tire had a 2–3-inch tear in the sidewall of the tire going from the center of the tire out words. There was nothing in the roadway and we did not hit anything. The sidewall just blew out of the tire. Tire size is 265/65/R18.
2Ø19 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 4WD LTZ CREW VIN [XXX] Purchased: Royal Chevrolet (now Parks Chevrolet) 4502 West Broad Street Richmond, Virginia 23230 (804) 521-5300 In Service: 1 November 2019 Warranty Period: 1 November 2019 - 31 October 2022 Issues and History: Issue I-- When starting vehicle, radio comes on at full volume for one to two seconds. History I-- Prior to July 2021, never heard this noise. Beginning in mid-July 2021 with a mileage of approximately 3400 miles, the radio would blare full volume upon starting the vehicle. This occurred sporadically at first, but the event would happen more often as time went by. The protocol used for shutting down the vehicle is as follows: a.Place gear shifter in Park. b.Engage electronic brakes. c.Completely turn off Climate system. dCompletely turn off Entertainment Console (Audio, et cetera). c.Turn off exterior lights. f.Turn off engine. g.Remove FOB with person. h.Exit vehicle and shut door(s). i.Engage locking and alarm systems twice with FOB. The Settings for the Vehicle Sounds is zero volume and no button feedback. Therefore, the radio should NOT activate except when engaged manually, and certainly not when the vehicle is starting and certainly not at full volume. The vehicle was taken to Parks Chevrolet on Wednesday, 29 September 2021, where the Service Department retained the vehicle for two days trying to diagnosis this issue. We picked up the vehicle Thursday afternoon, 30 September 2021. Friday morning, 1 October 2021, the vehicle was used, and upon starting, the radio blared at full volume for several seconds. The vehicle was not used Saturday. Sunday, 3 October 2021, the vehicle was used for a short trip to Eastern Henrico County's Osborne Landing. Although the radio did not blare when first starting the vehicle, it did blare for several seconds at the boat landing having sat for an hour. I received a message to "Service Power Steering" and to "Service ESC". The power steering completely went out and I had to drive without it. Once the vehicle sat for about an hour, I restarted it and the messages cleared. This is the second time this has happened since I have owned the vehicle.
Started truck up after parking for 20 minutes and the Brake ESC service light on dash came on and stated that there was a problem and I would not be able to drive over 43 mph, the ABS, Traction control were also shut down. I drove this to the local GM dealer who is now working on this for the third day and can't figure out what is wrong. The programing for the brakes was gone, they reprogrammed and it cleared out immediately. They are working with GM to attempt to fix the issue once they figure it out.
check engine light came on and is currently pulling the following codes. P25A2 U0146 U0101 U0100 MIL Status- off Freeze frame DTC- u0146 I had an oil change done by Hare Chevy in Noblesville 2 weeks ago, never an issue with my truck until after I left the dealership. Stanley Chevy in Mccordsville looked at it this morning and said they have to order a bunch of parts for it, including new leaf springs for a truck that is less than 2 years old…never have heard of such a thing.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the tailgate emergency release button located inside the cabin was inoperable. Additionally, the contact stated that while pressing the button on the tailgate to open or close the tailgate, the tailgate would slightly open or be closed. The contact stated that the tailgate required to be pushed manually to open as needed or to be closed securely. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the tailgate motor was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the contact was informed that the tailgate motor needed to be lubricated. The motor was lubricated; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
Stabilitrak was set off due to air bag module going bad. When braking it locked up 3 of the 4 tires ABS went nuts but didn’t stop it from locking up
My son was in the backseat by himself behind the driver seat. Got tangled in the seat belt and it kept ratcheting. It would not release and started to suffocate him around his lungs. We ended up cutting the seat belt to get him out. The seat belt would not release after the vehicle was stopped and turned off.
Vehicle was parked and not running. I got into the vehicle and started it. I proceeded to put the vehicle in reverse and backed my truck up out of a parking spot. I then put the vehicle in drive. The vehicle started to go in reverse when I began to accelerate. I then put the vehicle back in park and then back into drive. The truck again started to go in reverse when in the drive position and I tried to accelerate and go forward. At this point the truck's check engine light came on. I put the truck in park, turned the vehicle off for a moment. I then turned the truck back on and again shifted it to drive and the truck went forward. We took the vehicle into the shop to have the codes run but a braking system code was the only thing that came up. The dealership said they will begin looking into it and the vehicle will be serviced soon. Safety Concern: That if we were in a parking lot and placed our vehicle in drive and it actually goes in reverse, we could have harmed someone behind us or damaged someone's vehicle/home/etc. I also worry there may be other issues that arise that could pose a safety concern since we don't really know what is going on.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that after a visual inspection, he became aware that there was extensive rust throughout the sub frame of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that there was not enough damage to warrant a repair of the sub frame. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 34,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH, there was an abnormal knocking, popping, and rattling sound coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated that without shifting to park(P), the vehicle turned off unintendedly. The contact had not attempted to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the lifters on the right side of the engine needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the camshaft was possibly replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

So my Silverado is having the same issues as many other Silverado owners. I originally had the vehicle in for service on a transmission issue, which is also another problem these vehicles are having. As for the engine issue I have experienced the vehicle stalling out after running rough, primarily after the vehicle has been running for a while. In addition, there are times when I am driving at highway speeds and the vehicle seems to shudder and shake. I thought OK maybe it's the wheel balance or alignment so I took it in for the wheel balance and the alignment and it still is doing the same thing. So at this point I had the spark plugs, wires and coil packs replaced. Still having the same issue. In addition to this I had the vehicle in for first time transmission hard shifting at around 20k miles. The technician took the vehicle for a drive and stated that there was an issue and that the computer reset should eliminate the problem. It didn't. So I dealt with this multiple times, bringing the vehicle to service for diagnosis and even filing a claim with GM. The vehicle is still experiencing these problems with the hard shifting. I had the recommended maintenance performed on the vehicle which included fluid replacement without a resolution to the issue. I have completely lost confidence in the GM products and their service technicians as they've been unable to repair the vehicle to proper running order. This will be my last GM product, and that says a lot coming from a GM family member. Sad that quality has significantly gone downhill.
Thousands of these vehicles have Engine Lifter failure problems at early mileage and if your vehicle is out of warranty you have to pay. These are vehicles with the AFM 5.3 and many are failing. This is a well known problem and should be recalled soon. If your engine fails on the highway it can be extremely dangerous.
When backing out of the driveway and shifting from Reverse to drive the transmission slows the engine before slamming into second gear. During the entire driver the transmission shakes before shifting into any gear. I took it to Patriot Chevy in Warminster, Pa on 8/2/21. They said they reset the computer module. I tested it immediately and nothing changed.

The contact stated that while having a routine oil change, she was informed that the engine oil cooler lines were leaking and had detached from the crimp joint. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred her to the NHTSA Hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 67,434. The consumer is requesting reimbursement for all repairs to the vehicle.
On cold starts when approximately 2nd gear shifts around 20mph the truck feels like it’s slipping the gear and losing power. Has happened every time and there’s under 5000 miles on vehicle
I purchased this vehicle back on February and noted that the transmission is kicking hard from first to second gear shift at all times. Went to the dealer and told me tech cannot find nothing wrong and that this is normal as is a 9 shift transmission. When at a fast food full line this vehicle shifted so hard that I almost hit the car on front on me. Having cars all my life and be a mechanic, I can tell you this hard shifting is a safety issue.
Failed lifter in engine due to GM’s terrible DFM and DOD system. Left me stranded 500 miles from home and 450 miles from my destination.
Approximately 1 minute after startup, on a 85* plus day, with the vehicle sitting in the sun, the following failure alarms are displayed on the dash StabiliTrack failure Trailer Braking System failure Steering assist is reduced, caution should be used while driving. Sitting in Park, the steering wheel jerks - untouched Reduced Engine Power warning is displayed All analog gauges go to 0 and bounce on and off Check Engine Light illuminates StabiliTrak warning light illuminated AC disabled If this occurs while driving The engine runs rough, especially just off idle. Putting the transmission in L5 to eliminate AFM, does not help. While driving the truck has experienced Loss of engine power, almost stalled Total loss of power assist steering Near zero manual steering capability. StabiliTrak warning light will often go off after ~ 30 minutes The Check Engine light will remain on after failure but will go out when the vehicle sits overnight" Failure not imminent when the truck has been in the shade
THE "SERVICE BRAKE SYSTEM" AND "SERVICE ESC" LIGHTS CAME ON, ALONG WITH THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT AND ROUGH IDLE, RESISTED ROLL (SLIGHT BRAKE APPLIED, PERHAPS?) AND PER THE DEALER, NO CODE WAS STORED AND THERE IS NO FIX. BULLETIN PIT5728B SAYS DIFFERENT AND NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL FIXED. I AM REFUSING TO ACCEPT MY VEHICLE BACK UNTIL FIXED AS OF 27 APR 2021. WE WERE MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY FROM A SIDEROAD & THE GAUGES STARTED GOING CRAZY THE TRUCK DIED. WOULDN'T RESTART. LUCKILY WE WERE ABLE TO GET OFF OF HIGHWAY & ONTO SHOULDER. DEALERSHIP HAS HAD TRUCK SINCE THEN. TODAY IS 4/21/21.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE DOWN A RESIDENTIAL STREET AROUND 25 MPH MY STEERING SUDDENLY PULLED TO THE RIGHT. CAUSING ME TO STRIKE A PARKED CAR. THIS HAPPENED ON4/10/21. THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT CAUSING MY TIRE TO STRIKE THE PARKED CAR. WITNESS TO THE ACCIDENT SAID THAT MY WHEEL WAS COMING OFF BEFORE STRIKING THE CAR. THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE SUSPENSION ON MY TRUCK WAS RIPPED AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE INCLUDING THE DRIVE AXLE. PIECES OF THE SUSPENSION BROKE INTO PIECES. THERE IS A POLICE REPORT WITH THE WAVERLY POLICE DEPT IN WAVERLY, OHIO 45690. REPORT NUMBER 21-050. TO MY SURPRISE COMING HOME FROM WORK ON 4/13/21 THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO A CO WORKERS NEW MODEL GMC SIERRA WHICH IS A SIMILAR VEHICLE. HE WAS JUST DRIVING AND THE FRONT SUSPENSION FELL OFF HIS VEHICLE CAUSING HIS TRUCK SUSPENSION TO HIT THE GROUND. I OBSERVED HIS VEHICLE AND THE DAMAGE TO THE SUSPENSION WAS BASICALLY IDENTICAL TO MY VEHICLE SUSPENSION. HIS VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY LOCATED AT HOMETOWN CHEVROLET IN WAVERLY, OHIO 45690. MY VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO PERFECTION ONE COLLISION IN CHILLICOTHE OHIO.
TRUCK WILL REV HIGH AND NOT MOVE FOR 2 OR 3 SECONDS WHEN ACCELERATING AFTER STOPPING AT REDL LGHT THEN SLAM INTO FIRST GEAR AND LURCH FORWARD ABRUPTLY. THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE DAMAGED FROM DOING THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. ENGINE HAS 44000 MILES IS SERVICED ON TIME EVERY TIME AND NOT ABUSED.
A CURRENT RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE STANDS IN CANANDA AND ALASKA. THE EOC ENGINE COOLING LINES LEAK OIL. THE EOC CLAMP AND/OR ASSEMBLY LOOSENS CAUSING A SEVER OIL LEAK. MORE COMMON IN COLDER CLIMATE AREAS. LEAK ACCRUES AT ALL TIMES, WHEN RUNNING OR NOT.
I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK NEW IN 2019. I HAVE HAD IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES. WHEN YOU PUT THE TRUCK IN REVERSE AND THEN PULL BACK INTO DRIVE TO TAKE OFF THE TRUCK JERKS YOU SO HARD THAT IT EVEN SQUEALS THE TIRES. I TALKED TO ANOTHER CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN COOKEVILLE TN AND THEY SAID THEY ARE AWARE OR THE ISSUE AND CURRENTLY HAVE 9 OTHER TRUCKS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINTS. THERE WAS ANOTHER GUT IN THAT SERVICE DEPARTMENT THE SAME DAY ALSO COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE WITH HIS TRUCK . EVERY TIME I TAKE IT BACK TO THE MURFREESBORO DEALERSHIP THEY SAY THEY CAN NOT FIND THE PROBLEM AND THEY DO NOT KNOW OF ANY ISSUES WHICH I FIND HARD TO BELIEVE. THIS ISSUES HAS BEEN PRESENT FROM THE FIRST DAY I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK
the truck is constantly running a shift to park message. It takes continuous attempts by pressing the brake and wiggling or changing gears to reverse, to drive back to park in order to shut off. Sometimes, it takes up to 10 minutes to stop erroring before I can exit the vehicle. this has started a couple years ago there has been no resolution by Chevrolet as to the reason or an option to fix it the truck will not allow me to leave and lock it while this is occuring so i have no option but to keep to shifting gears to make it stop.
WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, ALL 4 BRAKES LOCKED UP. THIS HAPPENED 4 TIMES THEN THE TRUCK WAS PARKED. I WAS TURNING ON A STATE HIGHWAY .
3 ISSUES WITH LCD DISPLAY USED FOR RADIO. HANDS FREE DEVICES AND BACKUP CAMERA. !ST ISSUE IS AFTER BEING PARKED FOR SEVERAL HOURS, THE DISPLAY MAY FREEZE ON ITS LAST RADIO SETTING OR MAY GO COMPLETELY DEAD. CAR CAN BE DRIVEN BUT THERE IS NO ABILITY TO USE RADIO, HANDS FREE PHONE, MAPS FROM PHONE OR BACK UP CAMERA. ONLY FIX IS TO RUN THE VEHICLE FOR AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES, REMOVE THE KEY AND OPEN AND CLOSE THE DOOR. AFTER ABOUT A MINUTE THE INSTRUMENTS SHUT DOWN. OPENING AND CLOSING THE DOOR WILL RESET THE DISPLAY AND AGAIN IT WILL FUNCTION NORMALLY. 2 BACKUP CAMERA SHUTS OFF WHILE BACKING UP. 3 ENTIRE DISPLAY SHUTS DOWN AND RESTARTS WHILE VEHICLE IS MOVING. ALL THESE EVENTS HAPPEN AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS SAT IDLE FOR MULTIPLE HOURS. ALSO WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF STARTING TO DRIVE THE CAR. THESE EVENTS HAVE HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND GETTING MORE FREQUENT.
I was given a 2019 Chevy Silverado and when I turned the truck off the shift to park light would stay on and in February the brakes froze with the bad freeze when it thawed the brakes just started locking up by them selves I could not get over 5-6 mph so I made an app with dealership took it in told them what it was doing they had it a week they replaced shifter handle and bolt and reset codes I get the truck back did not have it 24 hrs I was leaving where I was fishing that morning I was going maybe 40 mph when the abs and other lights came on on dash and the brakes locked up again sending me sliding about 60 yards when I ended up in a ditch I tried to get out and the truck would not move so I get out and look to see my front passenger tire completely broke off folding up under truck. No one else was involved I automatically called dealership told them what happen filed a crash report and tow truck took truck back to dealership I contacted GM snd they sent an investigator to look at it but denied my claim said it was not a Manufactur defect.. so no one is wanting to fix my truck now it’s still under warranty with less than 19000 miles on it... and if I was to pay out my pocket to fix it I feel that it will happen again cause the freeze did something to the electrical brake system.. the truck is a year and 4 mts old. Paid cash for it and not I can’t even drive it..
WHILE DRIVING TO SCHOOL WHICH IS APPROX 70 MILES FROM MY HOUSE, I WAS APPROX 10 MILES FROM MY END LOCATION AND HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES WITHOUT ISSUES. I WAS DRIVING ON I-70 AT 75 MPH WHEN THE TRUCK COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, BRAKES WENT OUT, STEERING LOCKED, ALL ELECTRICAL SHUT OFF. THE TRUCK WAS DEAD FOR APPROX 4 SECONDS WHEN IT KICKED BACK ON ON ITS OWN. THE TRUCK CONTINUED DOWN THE ROAD LIKE NOTHING HAD HAPPENED. THE TRUCK DID THE SAME THING ABOUT 3 MILES AFTER THE FIRST TIME THE TRUCK DIED. THERE WERE NO MORE INCIDENTS DURING THAT TRIP. LATER THAT SAME DAY I WAS PULLING INTO KROGER PARKING LOT TURNING INTO A PARKING SPOT AT ABOUT 5 MPH WHEN THE TRUCK COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AGAIN. THE TRUCK WAS DEAD FOR APPROX 3-5 SECONDS EACH TIME WITH COMPLETELY SHUTDOWN BEFORE COMPLETELY RESTARTING ON ITS OWN AND CONTINUING LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED.
Since approximately 30,000 miles I have been having issues with the transmission. I have taken my truck to x3 different dealerships. Tom Bell in Redlands, CA and Mark Christopher in Ontario, CA are the first two. Both of them have told me there wasn't a problem and reprommgrammed the computer for the trans. I tried working with the chevy advocate and they did nothing but give me the run around until my chevy warranty ran our at 60,000 miles. Now I am once again attempting to get the truck looked at by a chevy dealer and I have taken it today to Diamond Hills in Banning, CA. My extended warranty runs out in 3000 miles and they had me come in to have it evaluated and they said they wanted to service the transmission. So we will see what happens. I regularly take my truck to be serviced at firestone and my firestone rep has warned me my transmission is definitely going OUT! It is unfair how the everyday person if forced to eat the cost while chevy keeps making money and dodging their intentionally distributed problem trucks. THE TRUCK WAS PARKED IN MY HOME DRIVEWAY MONDAY AFTERNOON. IT WAS LOCKED. ON WEDNESDAY 2/24/21 OUR NEIGHBOR ALERTED MY WIFE THAT THERE WAS SMOKE COMING FROM THE TRUCK. WE RAN OUT THERE, BUT IT WAS ALREADY HEAVILY SMOKING AND WE COULD HEAR CRACKLING AND POPPING NOISES. SHORTLY AFTER THE TRUCK WAS IN FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED, PUT OUT THE FLAMES. THE FIRE MARSHAL DID AN INSPECTION AND INDICATED IT WAS LIKELY AN ELECTRICAL FIRE NEAR THE TAILGATE/HITCH/LICENSE PLATE.
ON 2/22, MY VEHICLE HAD TO BE TAKEN IN TO THE DEALERSHIP DUE TO IT NOT STARTING. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE ISSUE WAS SUPPOSEDLY A SOFTWARE ISSUE. THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED AGAIN AND MY VEHICLE IS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP ONCE AGAIN ON 3/29. IT WAS STATED THAT GM WILL HAVE TO ADVISE THE TECH ON WHAT TO DO FOR A PERMANENT FIX. THIS IS A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE AND DISTURBING. MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT START ON 3 OCCASIONS BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 11,800 MILES ON IT.
BACK UP CAMERA BECOMES "FUZZY" WHEN PUT IN REVERSE IN THE DARK. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME IN THE DARK WHEN THERE NO LIGHTS OUTSIDE/ENVIRONMENT. THIS IS REALLY DANGEROUS BECAUSE WHAT IF SOMEONE WALKS IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK, AND I CAN'T SEE THEM BECAUSE OF THE "FUSSY" CAMERA.
I WAS DRIVING AT 65MPH WITH CRUISE ACTIVATED AND I NOTICED A "SHUDDER" AND IT LASTED APPROXIMATELY 1 MINUTE. 10 MINUTES LATER IT HAPPENED ONCE AGAIN. I WAS DRIVING ON I-40 AND THE ROAD SURFACE IS LEVEL IN THE AREAS THAT I WAS DRIVING. I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK NEW AND IT ONLY HAS 11,000 MILES ON IT. AFTER SEARCHING CAUSES OF THIS ISSUE ONLINE, I DISCOVERED THAT I WAS NOT ALONE AND THAT NUMEROUS PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE ON ALL MODELS OF GM CARS AND IT IS RELATED TO THE 8 SPEED TRANSMISSION. I HAVE MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE.
DASH LIGHT CAME ON THAT SAYS "SERVICE BRAKE PAD MONITOR" WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, IT WAS WET/ICY OUTSIDE. NOT SURE IF THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT, BUT I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE, BUT IT'S NOT SHOWING UP AS A RECALL ON THE RECALL WEBSITE
THIS TRUCK CONTINUES TO SLIP OUT OF GEAR WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. YESTERDAY, AS I ATTEMPTED TO CROSS A ROAD, THE TRANSMISSION WAS "HUNG UP" BETWEEN GEARS RESULTING IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHERE I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE UNTIL TRAFFIC CAME MUCH CLOSER. IT STARTED FROM A STOP AND WHEN I TRIED TO CROSS THE ROAD IT WAS SHUDDERING BETWEEN GEARS. THIS CONTINUES TO HAPPEN ON THIS VEHICLE. SOMETIMES IT'S A HARD SHIFT, OTHER TIMES IT SLIPS OUT OF GEAR AND AS I PUSH THE ACCELERATOR, THE ENGINE REVS AND IT IS NOT IN A GEAR AND IT FINALLY GRINDS INTO A GEAR AND THEN THERE IS A JOLT WHEN IT SLAMS INTO THE GEAR AND THE TRUCK LURCHES FORWARD OR SOMETIMES IT'S ENOUGH TO SQUEAL THE TIRES.
FROM REVERSE GOING INTO DRIVE HAS DELAY SHIFT AND SHIFTS AND JERKS REAL HARD BEFORE GOING INTO DRIVE. ITS NOT ALL THE TIME BUT HAVE NOTICE IT ON DIFFERENT TIMES. FEELS LIKE REAR END OR TRANS IS SLIPPING
START-STOP SYSTEM NOT WORKING,
ONE WEEK AFTER BUYING THE TRUCK IN OCTOBER 2019 AN ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON REGARDING THE BREAK SYSTEM, TOO THE TRUCK IN AND IN A FEW DAYS I HAD IT BACK AFTER REPROGRAMING THE COMPUTER. 27 JAN 2021 AFTER LEAVING WORK THE BREAKS FELT STRANGE BUT WITH NO ALERT I WENT ON HOME. COMING UP TO A TRAFFIC LIGHT I TRIED TO STOP THE TRUCK BUT HAD NO BREAKS, I PROCEEDED THROUGH ANOTHER RED LIGHT WITH NO BREAKS PUMPING THE BREAK PEDDLE I FINALLY HAD A LITTLE BREAK AND GOT THE TRUCK PULLED OVER. I TURNED OFF THE TRUCK AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WITH NO ANSWER. I CALLED AND HAD MY WIFE TO COME PICK ME UP, SHE ARRIVED AND WE DECIDED TO TRY AND START THE TRUCK AND SEE IF THE BREAKS WOULD HOLD. WE DID MAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE HAD THE TRUCK FOR TWO DAYS WITH NO REAL ANSWER AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON! I CALLED SEVEN TIMES 28 JAN AND FINALLY HAD TO GO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON ALL I GOT WAS WE ARE WORKING ON IT. CALLED THREE TIMES JAN 29 WITH NO REPLY AND HAD TO STOP BY AND I THEY WOULD TELL ME WAS THAT IS WAS A MODULE AND CODING ISSUE. I ASKED FOR A LOAN VEHICLE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD LOOK INTO IT AND RESPOND IN THE AFTERNOON...WE SHALL SEE VERY VERY FRUSTRATING.
BACKUP CAMERA IS SO BRIGHT AT NIGHT THAT I CAN NOT SEE MY MIRRORS TO USE THEM. BACKUP CAMERA GETS LINES ON THE SCREEN. THIS HAPPENS WHERE MOVING OR SITTING STILL.
THE AUTOMATIC PARKING BRAKE WOULD NOT RELEASE SEVERAL TIMES WHEN I HAD IT PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. MY DRIVEWAY AS A VERY SMALL INCLINE (~3%), BUT THE AUTO PARKING BRAKE WILL COME ON. THE SEVERAL TIMES IT STAYED ON, THE ORANGE 'SERVICE PARKING BRAKE' LIGHT WAS ON AND A SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT. I COULD NOT MOVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY TO RESET. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND IT HAD A CODE FOR EVAP PURGE PUMP MALFUNCTION. AFTER THEY REPLACED THIS THE LIGHT HASN'T COME BACK ON SINCE (ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO).
SERVICE PARKING BRAKE WARNING KEEPS COMING ON WHILE VEHICLE IS MOVING. IT'S ALREADY BEEN TO BE SERVICED AND THERE IS NO CURRENT FIX PER THE DEALER.
WHILE TAKING OFF FIST SHIFT FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR TRANS SLIPS TO THE POINT OF LOSING FORWARD MOMENTUM FOR SEVERAL SECONDS. MULTIPLE TIMES IN SHOP AND FAILED TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM. HAPPENS DAILY.
