DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT CLIP WILL NOT FEED INTO RECEIVER. THE LATCH IS STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION, THERE IS A PIECE OF PLASTIC THAT GUIDES THE METAL CLIP INTO THE RECEIVER THAT IS MISSING.
STABILITY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON WHILE IN MOTION. WITH MAJOR OIL CONSUMPTION PROBLEMS. JUST IN REGULAR DRIVING I'VE HAD TRANSMISSION, AND REAR DIFFERENTIAL WORK DONE FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW BACK AGAIN WITH FLASHING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. SAYING CYLINDER 6 MISFIRING. I'VE ALREADY SUNK IN OVER 4K IN THIS AFTER BUYING IT LAST YEAR IN DEC.OF 2017. AFTER READING COMMENTS THIS REALLY SHOULD BE A RECALL. WITH SO MANY OF THE SAME CONCERNS AND COMPLAINTS THAT HAVE BEEN LISTED.
FUEL LINES ON FUEL PUMP CORRODED AND RUSTED DUE TO DESIGN OF FUEL TANK, ALLOWING SEDIMENT AND WATER TO SIT, CAUSING RAW FUEL LEAK WHENEVER ENGINE IS RUNNING. POSES EXTREME FIRE DANGER IF NOT CAUGHT IN TIME, AS RAW FUEL DRIPPING FROM VEHICLE ONTO GROUND.
TAKATA RECALL THE LOCAL CHEVROLOT DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO REMEDY MY AIRBAG RECALL. THEY STATE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART AND FAILED TO OFFER ME A SAFE ALTERNATIVE IN THE INTERIM.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED AN UNKNOWN DEALER IN MIRAMAR, FLORIDA AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART FOR THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT SOMEONE WOULD REACH OUT REGARDING THE ISSUE; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT HAD NOT HEARD BACK. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V383000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER (JEFF DRENNEN CHEVROLET BUICK GMC CADILLAC OF ZANESVILLE, 3625 MAPLE AVENUE ZANESVILLE, OH 43701, 740-617-1936) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
'TAKATA RECALL' I AM ATTEMPTING TO REPLACE THE TAKATA AIRBAGS ON MY 2007 CHEVY SUBURBAN BASED ON SAFETY CONCERNS. WHEN I BECAME AWARE MY VEHICLE WAS SUBJECT TO THE RECALL I CONTACT MARK CHRISTOPHER CHEVROLET. I WAS TOLD THEY WERE NOT COMPLETING REPLACEMENTS AS GENERAL MOTORS DOES NOT HAVE A SUPPLIER FOR THE AIRBAGS. THAT THEY HAD A SUPPLIER BUT THAT PARTICULAR SUPPLIER WENT OUT OF BUSINESS AND THEY (GENERAL MOTORS) WOULD SEND OUT A NOTICE WHEN THEY GET A SUPPLIER FOR THE AIRBAG.
TANAKA RECAL, ON BOARD COUPUTER NOTIFIED ME THAT AIR BAG NEEDS SERVICE, LOCAL MECANIC CHECKED AND SAID IT NEEDS REPLACING. CLLED CHEVY DEALER AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY CANNOT DO THE REPLACEMENT BECAUSE THE TANAKA RECALL WAS NOT FULLY FUNDED ETC AND HUNG UP ON BE
TAKATA RECALL- MY UNDERSTANDING IS THERE IS AN ACTIVE RECALL OEM#16V383000 (5-31-16) & OEM#16V381000 (5-31-16) THE DEALER HAS TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO, HOWEVER THE RECALL IS NOW TWO YEARS OLD. MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ON NOW FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS, AND I WOULD LIKE THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED. I WOULD LIKE SOME ANSWERS FROM SOMEONE. THE GM DEALER HERE IN WINSTON-SALEM IS NOT HELPING AT ALL. THE LEXUS DEALER HAS ALREADY REPLACED THE AIRBAG ON MY DAUGHTERS CAR, BUT NO ONE WITH GM IS MAKING AN ATTEMPT.

I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND MADE A RIGHT TURN ONTO ANOTHER CITY STREET AND THE ENGINE STARTED RUNNING ROUGH AND IDLE ROUGH, SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT STAYED ON, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, TRANSMISSION JERKS FROM 1ST GEAR TO 2ND GEAR, ENGINE TICKING/KNOCKING, SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING, SCAN CODE CAME UP AS MISFIRE ON CYLINDER #4, TOOK VEHICLE TO REPAIR SHOP AND LIFTERS WERE REPLACED AMONG OTHER THINGS; SEE ATTACHED FILES.
TAKATA RECALL MY WHOLE FAMILY IS AT RISK WITHOUT A FIX TO THIS ISSUE. IT IS A DISGRACE THAT THERE HASN'T BEEN A SOLUTION YET! I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO REPLACE IT! I DEMAND THAT SOMETHING BE DONE!
"TAKATA RECALL" ONCE AGAIN I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE SERVICE TO HAVE THE AIRBAG INFLATORS REPAIRED OR REPLACED AS INSTRUCTED BY THE RECALL NOTICE. I HAVE NOW BEEN TOLD THAT CHEVROLET HAS NO REMEDY AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL AND ARE CURRENTLY WAITING FOR ANALYSIS BY THE NHTSA OF CHEVROLETS INDEPENDENT TESTING WHICH INDICATES THE RECALL IS NOT NECESSARY. CHEVROLET STATES THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO OPERATE. I GUESS THE PROOF WILL BE SEEN IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS IN AN ACCIDENT.
I BELIEVE MY PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG MAY HAVE DONE SOMETHING BECAUSE THE DASH NEXT TO THE AIR BAG AREA HAS BEEN CRACKED. DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO FIX; BUT EVERY OTHER CAR COMPANY HAS FOUND THE FIX; REPLACE THE INFLATOR. THIS DASH CRACK HAPPENED OVER NIGHT WHILE PARKED IN MY GARAGE.
ENGINE IS MALFUNCTIONING AND USING EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF OIL (1 QUART EVERY 1-2 WEEKS). THE MANUFACTURER BUILT BAD MOTORS IN 2007 AND KNOWINGLY COVERED IT UP. THE VEHICLES WERE STILL SOLD TO CONSUMERS AND RATHER THAN FIXING THE ISSUE (ENGINE WOULD HAVE TO BE REBUILT OR REPLACED) THE MANUFACTURER IS PLACING ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND COST ($9,000 FIX) ON THE CONSUMER, EVEN WHEN REPORTED BEFORE 100,000 MILES. THE MANUFACTURER KNOWINGLY SOLD LEMON VEHICLES AND REFUSES TO FIX. A MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT MY ENGINE COULD EXPLODE (SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE).
THE VEHICLE HAS A CRACKED DASH, ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND A CRACK JUST ABOVE THE AIRBAG. MY CONCERN IS THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE OVER MULTIPLE GM VEHICLES AND IF THERE IS AN IMPACT AND THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS THERE WILL BE SHARDS OF THE DASH FLYING THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE.
I KEEP HEARING THAT MY AIRBAG HAS BEEN RECALLED, BUT NOBODY HAS A SOLUTION FOR IT. I CANNOT ENDANGER MY FAMILY EVERY TIME WE RIDE IN THIS CAR.

VEHICLE IS APART OF THE TAKATA RECALL. LOCAL CHEVY DEALERS DO NOT HAVE THE PART TO FIX IT NOR DO THEY GIVE A TIME WHEN THEY WILL HAVE THE PART. SAY THEY WILL CALL, BUT HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM IN OVER A YEAR.
TAKATA RECALL CONTACTED GLENDORA CHEVROLET, IN GLENDORA, CA, THE DEALERSHIP WHICH SOLD THE VEHICLE (AND WAS ALSO LISTED ON THE AIRBAGRECALL.COM WEBSITE) TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG ISSUE AS STATED WITHIN THE WEBSITE AND FEDERAL COURT NOTICE. WAS INFORMED BY GLENDORA CHEVROLET'S SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE THAT THEY CURRENTLY HAVE NO WAY OF REPAIRING THE AIRBAG ISSUE, AND DO NOT REPAIR THE ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COURTESY CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 1220 E STONE DR, KINGSPORT, TN 37660, (888) 320-1411) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PROPERLY DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPARK PLUGS, IGNITION WIRE, AND OIL SENDING UNIT WERE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,000.

Cracked dashboard. Continues to get worse. Cracks get bigger and more cracks appear.

TAKATA RECALL - WAS MADE AWARE THAT AIRBAG IS RECALLED BUT PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE AVAILABLE FOR MANY MONTHS
TAKATA INFLATORS - RECEIVED NOTIFICATION BY MAIL FROM TK HOLDINGS, INC. THAT THE RECALL IS STILL OUTSTANDING AND THAT I SHOULD NOTIFY MANUFACTURE TO RECEIVE REPAIRS. CALL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE AT KOONS GMC/CHEVROLET AND HE INFORMED ME THAT THE RECALL IS STILL PENDING WITHIN GM AND THAT NOTHING CAN BE DONE AT THIS TIME. SEEMS THAT THE OWNERS OF THESE VEHICLES ARE BEING JERKED AROUND AT THE EXPENSE OF THE AIRBAG INFLATOR AND THE CAR OR TRUCK MANUFACTURE. MEANWHILE, OUR LIVES COULD BE AT STAKE IF WE GET INTO AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAGS ARE INFLATED. SORRY STATE OF AFFAIRS TO US, THE OWNERS OF THESE VEHICLES. THIS INCIDENT DIDN'T HAPPEN YET, BUT I JUST WANTED TO STATE IT BEFORE I GET INTO AND ACCIDENT AND I CAN'T CREATE THIS INCIDENT REPORT AFTER THE FACT BECAUSE I'M DIED!

I BELIEVE THE GENERAL MOTORS HAS HAD SUFFICIENT TIME TO ACQUIRE REPLACEMENT AIR BAG INFLATOR AND THAT THEY ARE DELIBERATELY STALLING HOPING THE PROBLEM WILL SIMPLE GO AWAY. I NEED MY TRUCK FIXED SO THAT MY WIFE CAN RIDE WITH ME ON TRIPS.

FAULTS OR SHORTS IN THE ELECTRICAL HARNESSES HAVE CAUSED PREMATURE FAILURE OF HEADLAMPS AND BRAKE LIGHTS. TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE AUTO PARTS STORE THEY CONFIRM THAT MANY PEOPLE COME IN WITH THIS SIMILAR FAILURE. KNOWN ISSUE WITH SUPPLIER QUALITY ON GM FORUMS SUGGEST THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE SINCE MODEL LAUNCH. WE HAVE REPLACED ALL LIGHTS AND FUSES CHASING THE HARNESS AND NOT STILL HAVE THE DEALERSHIP STATING THAT THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL HARNESS SYSTEM NEEDS REPLACED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD HAS BEEN CRACKED FOR THREE YEARS AND NOW THERE ARE HOLES ON THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER IN LA QUINTA, CA FOR A REPAIR ESTIMATE. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-222-1020 AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT PART OF A RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000. TAKATA RECALL: MY VEHICLE VIN IS LISTED AS ONE THAT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS HAVING FAULTY TAKATA AIRBAGS. GM WAS GIVEN UNTIL SEPT 2017 TO COMPLETE ITS INVESTIGATION AND COME UP WITH A PLAN TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. SO FAR I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM GM ABOUT THIS AND WHEN I CALLED THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP IN NOVEMBER OF 2017 I WAS TOLD TO JUST "WAIT AND WE'LL LET YOU KNOW". THE DEADLINE FOR THEIR INVESTIGATION ENDED THREE MONTHS AGO. I HAVE A FAULTY AIRBAG AND AM DRIVING MYSELF AND MY 5 KIDS AROUND TOWN DAILY. I NEED THIS TO BE FIXED, BUT GM REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING AND APPARENTLY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LETS DEADLINES SLIDE BY WITHOUT ANY REPERCUSSIONS AGAINST COMPANIES THAT ARE DEFIANTLY FLAUNTING THE RULES. WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS SO THAT WE CAN BE ASSURED OUR VEHICLES ARE SAFE? THE 20TH DEATH AS A RESULT OF A FAULTY TAKATA AIRBAG WAS JUST CONFIRMED TODAY.
