TAKATA RECALL. CONTACTED THREEWAY CHEVROLET THIS MORNING AGAIN AND STILL NOTHING AVAILABLE FOR RECALL.
BACK IN JULY 2016 I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM GM STATING THAT MY TAHOE VIN IS ON THE RECALL LIST FOR AIRBAG INFLATORS, ( GM RECALL 49151) UNTIL THIS DATE FEBRUARY 27 2017 THEY HAVE NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE YET. MY WIFE AND MY KIDS ARE IN THIS VEHICLE ALMOST EVERYDAY, I AM AFRAID THAT SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN TO THEM REGARDING THIS UNSOLVED RECALL.

TAKATA RECALL WE HAVE RECEIVED A NUMBER OF LETTERS REGARDING THIS RECALL AND THE MOST RECENT POST CARD STATES THAT REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE BUT WHEN I CONTACT LOCAL DEALERS ARE SAYING THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE????? WE HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS FOR 2 1/2 YEARS AND ARE VERY FRUSTRATED!!!
DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED ADJACENT TO CORNER OF PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG PANEL AND ALONG TOP OF DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER PANEL. CRACKS WERE NOTICED UPON ENTERING VEHICLE AFTER IT BEING PARKED IN FRONT OF HOME OVERNIGHT. THE CRACKED DASHBOARD IS A SAFETY CONCERN IN THAT SHARDS OF THE PLASTIC MAY BREAK OFF DURING AN ACCIDENT AND/OR DURING DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAGS, IMPALING THE PASSENGERS.

THE GM DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPLACE MY AIRBAG (GM RECALL49151) GM CUSTOMER SERVICE TELLS ME THAT NHTSA HAS NOT DETERMINED THAT THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE WITH GM VEHICLES. MY RECALL LETTER IS DATE 2016 AND NOTHING HAS BEEN REPAIRED. WHY IS THE NHTSA TAKING SO LONG TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE WITH GM? MY NON GM AIRBAGS HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPLACED.
TAKATA RECALL - OUR VEHICLE HAD A RECALL ON 07/06/2016,WE WENT TO RENEW REGISTRATION AT DMV AND THEY WOULD NOT GIVE OF TAGS TO PLACE ON PLATE DUE TO AIRBAG RECALL. I HAD TO GET A TEMPORARY RED CARD FOR VEHICLE WHICH EVENTUALLY WOULD EXPIRE. SINCE AUGUST 2016 EVERY OTHER MONTH I CALLED PUENTE HILLS DEALER AND CHEVROLET CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER TO GET VEHICLE SERVICED. EITHER ONE HAD INFORMATION AS WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIRS. IT IS NOW 04/04/2017 AND STILL NO PARTS AND NO TAGS FOR MY VEHICLE. LAST NIGHT I GOT PULLED OVER FOR NO TAGS. I PROVIDED RECEIPT OF PAYMENT FOR REGISTRATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS ON RECALL AND TEMPORARY REGISTRATION, THE OFFICER WAS NICE ENOUGH TO LET ME GO. HE DID MENTION VEHICLE CAN BE TOWED AWAY. I CALLED PUENTE HILLS CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING TO SCHEDULE SERVICE FOR RECALL AND RENE RODRIGUEZ TOLD ME PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX ANY VEHICLES ON THIS RECALL DUE TO NO PARTS SINCE THE RECALL NOTICE 07/2016. I ALSO SPOKE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO HELP ME. THEY WOULD LIKE ME TO GET IN WRITING FROM DMV WHY I CAN NOT GET MY TAGS.

TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL FOR THE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE. THIS WAS FIRST BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION IN JULY OF 2016. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE BECAUSE GM IS WAITING ON TAKATA. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS RECALL AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED NOW.
RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE IN JULY OF 2016 AND CALLED DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THE PROBLEM. CALLED AGAIN IN JUNE 2017 AND DEALER STATED SAME NO REPLACEMENT AT THIS TIME. RECEIVED A NOTICE 11/9/17 AND STATING THAT THE RECALL IS STILL ACTIVE AND NEED TO REGISTER WITH TK RESTRUCTURING SO I CAN FILE A CLAIM IF SOMETHING WERE TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE IF MY AIRBAGS FAIL. I WANT MY VEHICLE FIXED NOW! I SHOULD NOT WORRY WHILE DRIVING IF THEY WILL DEPLOY AND KILL ME OR A FAMILY MEMBER. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA 4/10/19 (ODI #11195391). I MAILED REQUESTED DOCS TO NHTSA 5/15/19. I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE AND THE ISSUE WITH THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED AFTER 4 YEARS OF WAITING FOR A REMEDY.

ALTHOUGH NOT CONSISTENT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, PERIODS OF HOT AND HUMID WEATHER EXISTS WHERE I LIVE; THIS CONDITION, AS STATED IN THE RECALL, CAN ADD TO THE INCREASE DEGRADE OF AIRBAG. I HAVE LEARN THAT IF VEHICLE IS OVER 6 YEARS, OUR VEHICLE SHOULD BE A PRIORITY FOR REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR. RECALL IS ALMOST 8 MONTHS OLD. REPAIR SHOULD EXISTS BY NOW.
