"TAKATA RECALL" SINCE 2016 RECALL REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE NO PARTS. AFTER LONG TERM EXPOSURE IN HOT AND HUMID WEATHER, THE PROPELLANT DEGRADES TO A CERTAIN LEVEL AND THE INFLATORS MAY RUPTURE DURING DEPLOYMENT, CAUSING SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURIES. FOR ME, THIS IS A BATTLE FOR MY LIFE AND IT WOULD PUT MY FAMILY IN JEOPARDY OF THEIRS.

TAKATA RECALL - THERE HAS BEEN A VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS RECALL INVOLVING THE AIRBAGS OF MY VEHICLE THAT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED AS OF TODAY'S DATE, JANUARY, 8, 2018. THIS HAS BEEN AN OPEN RECALL SINCE MAY 2016. I AM RELUCTANT TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH CAUSED BY A DEVICE THAT IS THERE TO HELP PROTECT US IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT.

"TAKATA RECALL" -- GM RECALL #2049152; NHTSA #16V383. MY CHEVROLET TAHOE IS NOW 8.5 YEARS OLD. ACCORDING TO MY INFORMATION, IF VEHICLE IS MORE THAN 6 YEARS OLD, IT SHOULD BE A PRIORITY FOR REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR. OUR CHEVROLET SHOULD BE ON TOP OF RECALL LIST. ALTHOUGH NOT CONSISTENT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, PERIODS OF HOT AND HUMID WEATHER EXISTS WHERE I LIVE; THIS CONDITION, AS STATED IN THE RECALL, CAN ADD TO THE INCREASE DEGRADATION OF THE AIRBAG. I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO HAVE MY AIRBAGS REPLACED FOR OVER 3 TO 4 YEARS NOW. THE AIRBAGS ARE EXTREMELY A SAFETY HAZARD DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY CAN DEPLOY AT ANY GIVEN TIME. I HAVE A GRAND CHILD THAT I TRANSPORT AND I AM SCORED FOR HER SAFETY IN THAT VEHICLE. THIS IS SAD HOW LONG THIS HAS BEEN UNREMEDIED. PLEASE HELP!

THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL SINCE MAY, 2016 FOR THE AIRBAGS. I HAVE REPEATEDLY REQUESTED FROM CHEVROLET (GM) TO HAVE THIS RECALL COMPLETED (AT LEAST 3 TIMES/YEAR), BUT TO DATE (11/30/20), IT HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED.
TAKATA RECALL THIS RECALL HAS BEEN IN A PENDING STATUS SINCE MAY OF 2016. THAT IS OVER A YEAR OF DRIVING WITH A POTENTIAL SAFETY RISK. 2008 TAHOE HAD A RECALL ON THE TAKATA AIRBAGS AND CONTACTED DEALER EVERY YEAR SINCE WE RECEIVED THE RECALL. CHEVY DEALER SAYS NO REPLACEMENT YET AND NO IDEA WHEN IT WILL BE REPLACED. TAHOE HAS BEEN IN GARAGE SINCE 2016 WHEN WE RECEIVED THE NOTICE. WILL NOT DRIVE FOR MY AND MY FAMILY'S SAFETY!!! WE SHOULD BE GIVEN AT NEW FULL CREDIT ON THIS VEHICLE TO PURCHASE A NEW ONE! MISFIRES OVER 20 TIMES WITHIN 60 SECONDS VIA GM FAST TEST (LAUNCH SOFTWARE VERSION V44.30) HAPPEN AT IDLE OR IN MOTION LEVELING / SUSPENSION / STABILITY SYSTEM CONSTANTLY ALERT DURING MOTION. ALSO HAVE CRACK ON DASH THAT LEADS TO PASSENGER AIRBAG. IF REMOTE START IS USED LOUD GRINDING CAN BE HERD AFTER IDLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 8 MINUTES OR SOONER.

MY CURRENT 2008 CHEVROLET HYBRID TAHOE, VIN# [XXX] HAS AIRBAGS INCLUDED IN THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL, MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER 2049152, NHTSA RECALL NUMBER16V383. THE NHTSA HAS DEEMED THESE AIRBAGS HAVE CAUSED 16 DEATHS, AND HUNDREDS OF SERIOUS INJURIES. GM/CHEVROLET HAS STATED THE AIRBAGS ARE "SAFE" DESPITE THE NHTSA RECALL. I HAVE CONTACTED THE NHTSA AND THEY STATED THAT THE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE NEED TO BE REPLACED, AND IN THE INTERIM UNTIL THEY ARE REPLACED NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO POTENTIAL RISK OF DEATH FROM THE AIRBAG EXPLODING WITHOUT REASON. ALL THE TIRE PRESSURE SENIORS ARE SAYING TO CHECK THE TIRES. THERE IS CORRECT PRESSURE IN TIRES WHEN I CHECK THEM, AND OF COURSE THE DASH MONITOR IS BLINKINGLIKE CRAZY ALL THE TIME. MY TIRE MAN SAID IT WOULD BE LOTS OF BUCKS TO REPLACE THEM. HE SAID BY LAW THEY CAN'T TAKE THEM OUT. WHAT CRAP, AND A HUGE WASTE OF MONEY.
