TWO LARGE CRACKS ON MY DASHBOARD. THEY VIBRATE WHEN DRIVING, I AM CONCERNED THEY MAY FRACTURE IN EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS CRACKED FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE TO THE DIVER SIDE WINDSHIELD AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE CRACKED AREAS COULD BE COVERED. THE DASHBOARD WAS NOT REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
REAR DEFROST WIRE CONSTANTLY SEPARATES FROM THE GLASS. WE HAVE BEEN TO VARIOUS DEALERSHIPS MORE THAN A DOZEN TIMES AND THE SAME PROBLEM PERSISTS. MANY OF THESE REPAIRS HAVE INCLUDED A BRAND NEW BACK WINDOW AND WIRING AND THE PROBLEM CONTINUES TO OCCUR. OUR TRUCK HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE DEALER FOR DAYS AT A TIME ONLY TO BREAK AGAIN WITHIN DAYS/WEEKS OF REPAIR. THIS CREATES A VERY UNSAFE DRIVING EXPERIENCE, ESPECIALLY IN THE WINTER MONTHS (NOW) WHEN WE CANNOT SEE OUT OF THE BACK WINDOW. THIS CASE IS FULLY REGISTERED WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND WITH GM DIRECTLY, BUT NO PERMANENT RESOLUTION HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED. THE WIRE IS CURRENTLY DETACHED, IT FELL OFF AGAIN WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE LAST REPAIR. THIS HAS HAPPENED BOTH WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND WHILE IT IS MOVING.
DASHBOARD- CRUMBLING APART. TWO CRACKS, ONE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND A 9 INCH CRACK ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THIS CAR HAS BEEN VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. GARAGE PARKED WITH 26,000 MILES. VERY CHEAP MATERIAL USED IN A $65,000 DOLLAR CAR. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE IN ANY OTHER CAR I HAVE OWNED.
THIS VEHICLE HAS 55,680 MILES AND THE UPPER LEFT CORNER NEXT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG IS CRACKED. BECAUSE OF THIS DASH CRACK, THE AIR BAG COVER IS LIFTED. CHEVY WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY. WELL, THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE NOT TO MENTION THERE HAVE BEEN THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINT OF 2007-2013 CHEVY DASHED CRACKING.
MY DASHBORD CRACKED AS I WAS SITTING IN IT PROGRAMMING MY BLUETOOTH TO MY PHONE. MY TAHOE IS ALWAY GARAGED KEPT AND IT ONLY HAS 26,000 MILES. IN NO WAY HAS IT BEEN EXPOSED TO EXTRAME HEAT OR SUNLIGHT. IT CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ABOVE THE AIRBAG. I ALSO HAVE A 2008 CHEVROLET SILVERADO THAT THE DASH IS CRACKED ON IT TOO. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM, I FOUND THAT THIS ISSUE IS MORE THAN JUST AN ISOLATED ISSUE, AS PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE EVERYWHERE. THIS IS A LEMON AND SHOULD BE A RECALL.
CRACKED DASHBOARD
MY 2013 CHEVROLET LTZ TAHOE BEGAN EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT WARNINGS THAT THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEMS WERE OFF AT AROUND 60K MILES. BY THE TIME THE VEHICLE TIT 65K THE FAILURES BECAME REGULAR AND ARE NOW LIT CONSTANTLY. THESE ARE SAFETY FEATURES THAT SAFEGUARD THE OPERATOR AND PASSENGERS DURING HARD/EMERGENCY BRAKING OR DURING WEATHER WITH SNOW, ICE AND RAIN. THESE KEY SAFETY SYSTEMS NOW ARE NON FUNCTIONING AND THE VEHICLE IS RATHER UNSAFE WITHOUT THEM. THIS IS A $70+ K VEHICLE AND IT HAS KEY SAFETY FEATURES FAILING VERY EARLY INTO ITS LIFE. IT IS UNBELIVABLE THAT CHEVROLET IS NOT HELD TO ACCOUNT BY FEDERAL REGULATORS FOR SUCH SIGNIFICANT SAFETY FAILURES. HOW MANY TAHOES ARE IN SERIOUS ACCIDENTS EACH YEAR DUE TO LOSS OF ABS BRAKING AND TRACTION CONTROL LOSS?
MY 2013 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ FRONT TIRES ARE CUPPING ON THE OUTTER EDGES AND APPEAR WORN OUT. I TOOK IT TO TWO DIFFERENT SHOPS AND HAD THE VEHICLE ALIGNED, BALANCED, AND TIRES ROTATED. THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT THE STRUTS BE REPLACED EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT LEAKING. I PROVIDED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE WITH ORIGINAL RECEIPTS TO PROVE THAT I HAD TOOK THE TRUCK IN TO TWO OTHER SHOPS PREVIOUSLY. I ALSO PURCHASED A SERVICE WARRANTY PLAN WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND ALTHOUGH THIS REPAIR IS INCLUDED, THEY REFUSE TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2013 CHEVROLET TAHOE CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND ON THE STEERING COLUMN.
MULTIPLE CRACKS IN DASH PANEL AROUND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BECOME DANGEROUS SHRAPNEL IN THE EVENT OF DEPLOYMENT.
THE DASH ON MY TAHOE IS CRACKED OVER THE AIRBAG. I WORK AS A SERVICE ADVISOR FOR A DEALERSHIP AND SEE EVERY TAHOE BETWEEN 2007 AND 2013 COMEIN WITH A CRACKED DASH. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE WITH NO CRACK-ALWAYS USE A DEFLECTOR TO KEEP THE VEHICLE COOL-THE DASH JUST CRACKED ONE DAY WHEN IT WAS PARKED
THERE IS A CRACK IN THE DARK NEAR THE AIR BAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. CRACK IS IN THE FRONT DASH,LOCATED NEXT TO AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT AREA.
THE DASHBOARD HAS A CRACK FROM THE WINDSHIELD AND IS SPREADING TOWARD THE STEERING COLUMN(ABOUT 8-10 INCH CRACK). THERE IS ALSO A SMALL CRACK NEAR THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. WE FIRST NOTICED THE CRACK IN AUGUST/2017. WE WERE TOLD OUR EXTENDED WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER THE BILL. WHEN WE FIRST NOTICED THE CRACK WAS ABOUT 4 INCHES. IT HAS NOW GROWN CLOSE TO 8-10 INCHES.
GM CASE # 8-316-7114203. CHEVY TAHOE LTZ DASH DASHBOARD CRACKS HAVE APPEAR ON THE LEFT SIDE OF AIRBAG AND RIGHT SIDE OF INSTRUMENT PANEL CRACKING UPWARD TOWARD THE DRIVER. GM WAS CONTACTED AND REFUSES TO HELP WITH THIS DEFECTIVE PART. IT APPEARS THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE BUT DO NOT FEEL OLBIGATED TO HELP THE CONSUMER/ THIS CAR IS TO NEW AND EXPENSIVE FOR THIS TO OCCUR.. THERE ARE MANY INTERNET LINKS AND EVEN CLASS ACTION SUITS THAT HAVE BEEN POSTED WITH THIS PROBLEM. IT SHOULD BE LOOK AS SAFETY ISSUE WHEN JUST FROM THE STAND POINT OF POTENTIALLY LOSE INTERIOR PARTS THAT COULD DISLODGE FOR ANY REASON THIS IS A LOW MILEAGE ONE OWNER CAR 33K
CRACKED DASHBOARD BOUGHT MY 2013 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ. HAS ONLY 98000 MILES ON IT. JUST NOTICED A CRACK AT THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE DASHBOARD, RIGHT AT THE EDGE OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. TWO WEEKS LATER, ANOTHER CRACKED APPEARED ON THE DRIVER SIDE, FROM THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE DASHBOARD AND CONTINUED UP AND OVER THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER HUMP. BOTH CRACKS APPEARED WHILE STATIONARY. THIS VEHICLE IS PRIMARILY GARAGED AND HAS A WINDSHIELD COVER. VERY DISAPPOINTED, SINCE THE NEW RETAIL OF THIS VEHICLE IS CLOSE $50,000 BRAND NEW AND COSTS OVER $1000 TO REPLACE AT THE DEALER. NOT TO MENTION, THIS IS OUR PRIMARY FAMILY VEHICLE, WHICH MY WIFE, 7 YO, 4 YO AND 6 MONTH OLD RIDE IN ON A DAILY BASIS.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKING, WHICH HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED AS A KNOWN PROBLEM. IT CAUSED INTEGRITY ISSUES WITH CRACKED PLASTIC IN EVENT AIR BAGS DEPLOY.
MY DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN TWO SEPARATE PLACES. THE FIRST CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD IS AT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. THE SECOND CRACK IS LARGE IN SIZE AND RUNS FROM THE BACK OF THE DASHBOARD ALL THE WAY UP TO THE DASH THAT COVERS MY INSTRUMENT PANEL.
THE DASH ON THIS VEHICLE HAS SEVER CRACKS IN 2 DIFFERENT PLACES. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND HAS BEEN VERY WELL MAINTAINED. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH CHEVROLET TAHOES. IT IS FORESEEABLE THAT INJURIES WOULD BE SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED IN THE CASE OF A FRONT-END COLLISION SHOULD THE DASH COME COMPLETELY APART AND LEAVE SHARP EDGES EXPOSED.
DASHBOARD ON THE DRIVER SIDE IS CRACKING AND EXTENDING UPWARDS TOWARDS THE DRIVER. CONSISTENTLY RATTLES WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. CRACK IS ALSO VISIBLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE LEADING TOWARDS THE AIRBAG. BOTH CRACKS WERE NOTICED WHEN VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION.
I OWN A 2013 CHEVROLET TAHOE LT. I TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY VEHICLE. LAST WEEK, I NOTICED MULTIPLE CRACKS IN MY DASHBOARD IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG; THEY SEEMED TO HAVE APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE. THERE WAS NO INCIDENT BEFOREHAND THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THE DAMAGE. MY VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY FROM THE LAST TIME I HAD USED IT, TO THE NEXT TIME I ENTERED MY VEHICLE AND NOTICED THE DASHBOARD CRACKS. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO PRESTON CHEVROLET, A NEARBY GM DEALERSHIP, AND I WAS ADVISED BY THE SERVICE DEPT. MANAGER THAT THIS TYPE OF ISSUE IS NOT A COMMON OCCURRENCE, ALTHOUGH HE HAD SEEN IT IN THE PAST.. HE FURTHER ADVISED THAT HE WAS UNABLE TO OBTAIN OR PROVIDE ANY SORT OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ME IN HAVING THE DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED DASHBOARD REPAIRED. AFTER RESEARCHING, I FOUND THAT IT IS QUITE A COMMON PROBLEM, AND WHAT'S MORE, THAT CHEVY TAHOE'S ARE THE 'COMMON DENOMINATOR.' I FEEL THAT I HAVE BEEN MISLEAD BY PRESTON CHEVROLET. I'VE SINCE CONTACTED GM AND I AM AWAITING A RESPONSE FROM A "SENIOR CASE ADVISOR." I AM PRIMARILY CONCERNED ABOUT MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF MY PASSENGERS. IN THE EVENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION, I AM CERTAIN THAT SHARDS OF PLASTIC WOULD BE HURTLED INTO THE AIR, BECOMING DANGEROUS PROJECTILES THAT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR HARM, NOT TO MENTION THE POOR AESTHETIC APPEARANCE AND OVERALL DEVALUATION OF MY VEHICLE THAT THE FRACTURES HAVE CAUSED. THIS IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. I FEEL I AM OWED REPAIR AND/OR RESTITUTION FROM GM AS A RESULT.
AUTO HAS A CRACK IN DASHBOARD IN FRONT OF STEERING WHEEL

DASH BOARD IS CRACKED AT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN CRACK WAS FOUND
DASHBOARD CRACKING. EACH DAY IT IS IN DIFFERENT SPOTS. NOW THERE ARE CRACKS AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WHICH IS A MAJOR CONCERN AND COULD CAUSE HARM.
I HAVE A 2013 CHEVY TAHOE Z71 WITH APPROXIMATELY 45,000 MILES. THERE ARE A TOTAL OF THREE CRACKS IN MY DASHBOARD ONE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE OTHER TWO ARE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE RIGHT ABOVE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I WAS TOLD BY GM THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REPAIR THE DASH MYSELF AND PAY OUT OF POCKET.
AS WITH MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS THERE IS A CRACK IN THE DASH. I FEEL THIS IS UNSAFE IF THERE IS EVER AN ACCIDENT THAT OCCURS AND THE AIR BAG WILL NEED TO DEPLOY. I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR 30 DAYS AGO AND NOW HAVE A CRACK IN THE DASH. BY READINGUP ON THIS, THERE IS SO MANY COMPLAINTS. I HAVE HAD IN THE PAST A 2004 TAHOE WITH NO,COMPLAINTS.I FEEL THAT GM SHOULD GET OFF THERE POCKET BOOKS AND RECALL THIS. THIS TAHOE ONLY HAS 48,000 MILES. PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW. COME ON GM DO THE RIGHT THING. IF AN ACCIDENT OCCURS AND I LOOSE AN EYE OR SUFFER FACIAL DAMAGE DUE TO FLYING DEBRIS FROM A CRACKED DASH THAT WILL BE ON YOU. I ALSO HAVE A CAMRY. THEY RECALLED THERE DASH JUST BECAUSE ITS STICKY. STEP UP MADE IN THE USA. PLEASE. AFTER PAYING $29000. FOR A CAR THIS SHOULD BE FIXED. THIS CAR WAS SITTING STILL WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
TRANSMISSION DROPS OUT OF GEAR WHEN STARTING UP AND TRANSMISSION IS COLD. THIS IS ESPECIALLY FREQUENT WHEN GOING UP A GRADE NO MATTER HOW SLIGHT. SOMETIMES THE PROBLEM IS SO SEVERE THAT IT CHIRPS THE TIRES. BASICALLY THE VEHICLE STOPS UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION RE-ENGAGES. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR AS LONG AS I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. I FEEL THIS HESITATION IS DANGEROUS AND CAUSES AN ISSUE WITH DURABILITY. THE DEALERSHIP INDICATES THAT THIS ISSUE IS NORMAL OPERATION. HOWEVER, MY SEARCHES ON THE INTERNET SHOW THAT MY COMPLAINT IS NOT ISOLATED. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH NECESSITATING THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAG. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,000.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE CONTINUES TO DROP INTO REDUCED POWER MODE CAUSING A JARRING MOTION AS IT DROPS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF SPEED,ALMOST CAUSING MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, TRACTION CONTROL TURNS OFF, STABILLITRACK TURNS OFF, AND ENGINE GOES INTO LIMP MODE AND STARTS SHAKING AND JARRING. THE SAME 2 CODES CONTINUE TO COME UP IN DIAGNOSIS. P2135 AND P2176. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THREE MECHANICS 1 OF THEM BEING CHEVY ITS SELF. WITH NO SOLUTION FOUND. I HAVE HAD THE ACCELERATION PEDAL REPLACED, THE WIRING REPLACED, THE IGNITION SWITCH AND RELAY REPLACED HAD THE THROTTLE BODY CONNECTOR REPLACED, THE THROTTLE BODY AND GASKET REPLACED 3 TIMES. I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING RECOMMENDED BY ALL SHOPS INCLUDING CHEVY. PLEASE HELP AS THE TRUCK HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MORE THEN IT HAS BEEN ON THE ROAD AND I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS AS THE TRUCK IS DIFFICULT TO CONTROL WHEN THE ISSUE HAPPENS.
DASH BOARD IS CRACKED AROUND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND DRIVER SIDE STEERING WHEEL. CHEVROLET DEALER REFUSED TO REPLACE IT EVEN UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. IF I AM EVER IN A ACCIDENT THAT BAG DEPLOYS, PIECES OF THE DASHBOARD WILL BECOME PROJECTILES. I ESCALATED WITH AND GM WITH NO REPLY.
WE PURCHASED A USED 2013 TAHOE ON 5/25/2017 AND THE DASH IS CRACKED. WE HEAR THAT THIS HAPPENS A LOT, SO WE WANTED YOU TO KNOW. IT MIGHT BECOME A DRIVING HAZARD, WHEN THE AIRBAG EVER DEPLOYED.

THE CRACKS EXTENDED ON BOTH SIDES, BUT PRIMARILY NEAR THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. THE DEALER (PINKERTON CHEVROLET, 925 N ELECTRIC RD, SALEM, VA 24153, (800) 813-5960) INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFUSED TO ASSIST WITH THE DEALER'S REPAIR TO REPLACE THE PART. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
DASH CRACKED FROM CORNER OF AIRBAG TO TOP OF DASH. VEHICLE STAYS IN GARAGE OTHER THAN WHEN DRIVEN TO WORK. WAS STATIONARY WHEN CRACK WAS SEEN.
DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED AND COLLAPSED ON TOP CENTER AT CORNER OF PASSENGER AIRBAG PANEL.
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED FOR NO REASON.
TRACTION CONTROL AND STABILITY TRAK LIGHTS COME ON WHILE DRIVING, COMMON PROBLEM WITH ALOT CHEVROLET TRUCKS SUV AND CARS. I HAD 2005 TAHOE PREVIOUSLY AND THE SAME PROBLEM WAS OCCURRING.
THE TOP OF THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKING IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS. THE CRACKS ARE GETTING LONGER. THIS IS HAPPENING OVER TIME. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO PROVOKE THIS.
DASHBOARD CRACKED OVER PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. THIS WAS NOT THERE YESTERDAY AND HAPPENED WHILE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE. NOTICED THIS AT 7AM ARRIVING TO WORK.
THE PURPOSE FOR THIS COMMUNICATION IS TO LET YOU KNOW I'VE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE DASHBOARD ON MY CAR THAT MECHANICS BELIEVE WILL EFFECT THE AIRBAG. AT THIS POINT I'M AT A BIT OF A LOSS FOR WORDS AND UNDERSTANDING WITH THIS PARTICULAR SITUATION. THE DASHBOARD HAS MULTIPLE CRACKS THROUGHOUT. THE CAR HAS 87,000 MILES AND HAS BEEN GARAGED FOR ITS ENTIRE OWNERSHIP AND WELL MAINTAINED. THE BIGGEST ISSUE SURROUNDING THE CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD IS THAT THEY'VE FORMED AROUND THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG, WHICH MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS HAVE TOLD ME IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THAT BEING SAID, THE DEALERSHIPS AND THE ASSOCIATE I SPOKE TO AT CHEVROLET CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE TEAM HAS SAID THEY'VE SEEN THIS ISSUE MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY'RE SURPRISED THERE HASN'T BEEN A RECALL ISSUED. I HONESTLY WOULDN'T CARE ABOUT THE CRACKS IF THEY WEREN'T SURROUNDING THE AIRBAG. PICTURES OF MY CAR INCLUDED. THE REAR DEFROSTER TAB HAS POPPED OFF THE REAR WINDOW, THIS RENDERS THE REAR DEFROSTER UNUSABLE, WHICH COULD LEAD TO SOMEONE NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE OUT THE REAR WINDOW. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT IS PREVALENT IN CHEVY TAHOES AND SUBURBANS AS WELL AS GMC YUKONS. A SIMPLE SEARCH REVEALS THOUSANDS OF PAGES ON THE INTERNET COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND GM NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
THE DASH HAS CRACKED 2 TIMES. WE HAD ONE SECTION REPAIRED BUT THE NEXT SECTION HAS CRACKED. IN AN ACCIDENT PIECED OF THIS COULD CRACK WORSE AND FLY AROUND THE CABIN CREATING A HAZARD FOR PASSENGERS AS WELL AS THE AIRBAGS.
I NOTICED A SMALL CRACK IN MY DASH ABOVE THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OVER A YEAR AGO. IT HAS NOW GROWN TO SEVERAL CRACKS ABOVE BOTH THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER AIRBAG. I TAKE GREAT CARE OF MY VEHICLE, EVEN PURCHASED THE EXTENDED BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. IF I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT, THE CRACKS IN THE DASH AND THE POOR QUALITY OF THE DASH COULD PREVENT THE AIRBAGS FROM DEPLOYING CORRECTLY.
CRACKED DASHBOARD GOING ENTIRELY UP THE FRONT OF DRIVER DASHBOARD. NOTHING TOUCHED IT, COMPLETELY UNDISTURBED, STATIONARY VEHICLE. CRACKED ON IT'S ON ACCORD, WITHOUT ANY FACTOR CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEFECT ON GM'S PART FOR THE MANAFACTURING OF THE DASHBOARD ITSELF.
THE EXTERIOR MOLDING HAVE SEPARATED, OR STARTED TO PULL AWAY FROM THE DOORS. OUT OF WARRANTY AND PAID ALMOST $300 TO REPAIR ONE (DRIVERS DOOR) MOLDING, AND OTHERS ARE STARTING TO PULL AWAY ON OTHER DOORS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V868000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD FRACTURED ABOVE THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG HOUSING. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THERE WAS A DANGER IN THE EVENT THAT THE AIR BAGS WERE TO DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
PLASTIC DASH IN FRONT HAS THREE CRACKS. ONE CRACK AT LEFT SIDE OF AIRBAG ON PASSENGER SIDE ATOP LOCATION OF GLOVE BOX. OTHER TWO CRACKS ON DRIVER SIDE ATOP LOCATION OF SPEED AND FUEL INDICATORS. ALL THREE ARE ON THE PLASTIC DASH WHERE SEAM NEAR FRONT WINDOW PLASTIC AND DASH PLASTIC MEET AND MAKE A SEAM. THE WEATHER HAS BEEN 13 DEGREES AND 14 DEGREES THE PAST TWO MORNINGS DECEMBER 19TH AND 20TH 2016. I DO NOT THINK THIS DEGREES SHOULD MAKE THE PLASTIC DASH CRACK. MY VEHICLE IS A 2013 MODEL WITH 74,961 MILES.
