IT HAS THE "MEMORY" MIRROR OPTION WHICH INCLUDES FEATURING MEMORY SET OPTIONS FOR DRIVER 1 AND DRIVER 2, AS WELL AS REARVIEW CURB ASSISTANCE (THE MIRRORS WILL TILT DOWN TO YOUR SETTING TO HELP PARALLEL PARK WHEN IN REVERSE). THIS OPTION WORKED GREAT FOR A WHILE. THEN, IN 2003, THE MIRRORS STARTED ACTING CRAZY. THEY WOULD CLICK EXCESSIVELY, TILT TOWARDS THE SKY OR DOWN AT THE GROUND. THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE ACTUATORS (UNDER WARRANTY) TO SEE IF IT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. THEY WORKED AGAIN FOR A WHILE. THEN, THE MIRRORS QUIT HOLDING THEIR MEMORY, CAUSING ME ONCE AGAIN TO HAVE TO RESET THE MIRRORS EVERY TIME I GOT IN THE CAR. ALSO, THE MIRRORS APPEARED TO MOVE AT SOME POINT WHILE I WAS DRIVING. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, I THOUGHT MY MIRRORS WERE RESET, AND THEN I WOULD LOOK TO CHANGE LANES AND FIND MY MIRROR TILTED UP TOWARDS THE SKY OR SOME ERRATIC PLACE. *JS
WE HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING ON OUR 2002 CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT WE BOUGHT OUR VEHICLE FROM THAT THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS ISSUE AND THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF PROBLEMS WITH OTHER TRAILBLAZERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT WE HAVE TO BUY NEW PLATES THAT HOLD THE TAIL LIGHTS THAT PUT OUT LOWER POWER TO THE BULBS. THE CURRENT PLATES THAT HOLD THE BRAKE LIGHTS CONSTANTLY BURN THE COTACTS IN THE BULBS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE NEW BULB HOLDER PLATES ARE $70.00 EACH PLUS THE LABOR. TO ME HAVING NO BRAKE LIGHTS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD AND YOU USUALLY DO NOT KNOW WHEN THEY ARE OUT UNLESS YOU ARE NOTIFIED BY SOMEONE OR YOU ARE PULLED OVER BY THE POLICE. WE HAVE ALSO HAD SIMILIAR PROBLEMS WITH THE HEADLIGHTS BUT THEY LAST ABOUT A YEAR BEFORE THEY NEED REPLACED. SO MUCH FOR QUALITY IN OUR CRAFTSMAN SHIP FOR OUR AMERICAN MADE VEHICLES.
2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER -- WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT FROM 2HI TO 4HI DUE TO SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS THE LIGHTS ON THE TRANSFER CASE SELECT SWITCH FLASHED AS USUAL. HOWEVER, RATHER THAN REMAINING ILLUMINATED IN 4HI, ALL THE LIGHTS WENT OUT AND THE TRANSFER TO 4HI WAS NOT COMPLETED. THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN 2HI. TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE AND RE-STARTING DID NOT REMEDY THE SITUATION. ON JANUARY 2, 2004 A CHEVROLET COMPUTER TECHNICAN ATTACHED A COMPUTER UNDER THE DASH, BUT COULD NOT GET A READING. THE TECHNICAN OPENED THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FUSE BLOCK AND REMOVED AND CHECKED THE AUTOMATIC SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM FUSE [MINI FUSE 25]. WHETHER HE MERELY PUT IT BACK OR REPLACED IT I DO NOT KNOW. HOWEVER, AFTER DOING SO, HE WORKED SOME MORE ON THE COMPUTER AND GOT THE SYSTEM RE-SET SO IT COULD BE USED. A SUBSEQUENT CHECK BY MY LOCAL DEALER COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT THE DID CHARGE FOR RE-PROGRAMING THE COMPUTER. *AK
I BOUGHT MY TRAILBLAZER ON APRIL, 2002. SINCE THEN, I HAVE HAD ONLY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE INDICATOR LIGHT ABOVE THE FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE KNOB HAS FAILED TWICE. THE DOME LIGHT HAS FAILED TWICE. THE DRIVER'S SIDE REVERSE LIGHT HAS FAILED ONCE. FINALLY, THE PASSENGER-SIDE BRAKE LIGHT JUST RECENTLY FAILED. ALL BUT THE BRAKE LIGHT HAS BEEN SERVICED BY THE DEALERSHIP WHICH SOLD ME THE TRAILBLAZER. FROM THE REPAIR DESCRIPTION, THE PROBLEM DID NOT LIE FROM A BURNED-OUT BULB. RATHER, THE PROBLEM STEMMED FROM A FUSE OR ANOTHER INTERNAL, ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. *AK
2WD 4WD SELECTOR SWITCH CHANGES POSITION RANDOMLY. CAUSED A REPAIR TO FRONT RING AND PINION ASSEMBLY IN DIFFERENTIAL. SELECTOR SWITCH ACTED UP AT 50-70 MPH RANGE. COST OF REPAIR: $2000.00! GM WILL NOT COVER UNDER ANY WARRANTY. BASED ON OTHER CONSUMERS COMPLAINTS. I WOULD THINK IF GM WAS AWARE OF THIS MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME THING, SHOULD THERE NOT BE A RECALL! MY FATHER AND FATHER-IN-LAW BOTH WORKED FOR GM. I AGREE WITH ANOTHER CONSUMER THAT GM HAS NO REGARD FOR THE SAFETY OF THEIR BUYERS. I'M CONSIDERING GOING TO FORD!!! VEHICLE TRANSFERCASE SHIFTED WITHOUT COMMAND ON WET ICE RESULTING IN SLIDING LEFT OF CENTER GOING INTO DITCH STRIKING CULVERT BECOMING AIRBORNE LANDING ON TOP . VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL BY INSURANCE COMPANY. *LA
POWER STEERING PUMP FAILED WHILE THE DRIVER WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN. ALTHOUGH THE DRIVER WAS TURNING STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO GO STRAIGHT IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO AVOID A COLLISION. *AK *NM
BRAKE LIGHT FAILURE....REPEATED BURNT OUT BULBS ON DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE LAMP SWITCH CONTROL MODULE FOR 4X4 REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AT 34,000 MILES. MODULE HAS ACTED "QUIRKY" SINCE REPLACEMENT. I HAVE EXPERIENCED TEMPORARY FAILURE WHICH CORRECTED ITSELF BY NEXT DAY. POSSIBLE LOOSE WIRE??? *JB
CONSTANT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH VEHICLE. AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN AUGUST 2002 THE BRAKE LIGHTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS BEEN REPLACED NUMEROUS TIMES. NOW NEITHER OF THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK, FROM WHAT I HAVE READ DUE TO ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. HOW CAN SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN BUT, CHEVROLET/GMAC IS NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE?
NUMEROUS PROBLEMS. CAR STALL 3X , BATTERY WENT OUT, WINDSHIELD WIPER WORN AND TAIL LIGHT OUT, CONSIDERED NOT SAFE. *BF THE VEHICLE WAS HIT IN THE REAR. THE DASH SYSTEM WENT OUT AND THE VEHICLE IDLED ROUGH. *SC
2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AS A RESULT OF THE REAR TAIL LIGHT BEING INOPERATIVE. *MR THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED WHILE HE WAS SLOWING DOWN IN TRAFFIC. THIS SUV HAD OTHER FAILURES TO INCLUDE THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, ENGINE(6 TIMES) , BATTERY (2 TIMES) , DASH BOARD, HEAD LIGHT AND VARIOUS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. *NM
FAILURE OF THE ENGINE OF A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER IN NOVEMBER OF 2003. AFTER CHANGING THE ENGINE, BROKEN CYLINDERS IN THE NEW ENGINE (AFTER LESS THAN 1000 MILES!) IN JANUARY OF 2004. *LA
THE BRAKE LIGHTS IN MY 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER HAVE GONE OUT 4 TIMES IN 9 MONTHS. EACH TIME THE DEALER HAS REPLACED THE CIRCUIT BOARD AND BULB. I CONSIDER THIS A SERIOUS SAFETY DEFECT WITH MY TRAILBLAZER. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHY THIS PROBLEM KEEPS HAPPENING, AND I AM WORRIED ABOUT FUTURE PROBLEMS. *LA
BRAKE AND TAIL LIGHT ON 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT HAVE FAILED ON FOUR OCCASIONS SINCE LEASING THIS NEW CAR ON 5/24/02. SERVICE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN GREAT IN FIXING THE PROBLEMS. THIS FIRST INCIDENT ON 11/6/2002 INVOLVED ONLY ONE TAIL AND BRAKE LIGHT BUT THE FOURTH INCIDENT ON 11/21/2003 INVOLVED BOTH TAIL AND BRAKE LIGHT. THE FAILURE COMES WITHOUT WARNING AND ONLY IS NOTICED WHEN A GOOD CITIZEN DRIVER INFORMS ME. THE LATEST INCIDENT WAS NOTICED WHEN A DRIVER ALMOST REAR ENDED ME BECAUSE BOTH LIGHTS WERE OUT. FORTUNATELY, THE TOP (DOLE) LIGHT WORKED. THE DATES OF THE REPAIRS ARE: 11/6/02, 8/7/03; 12/23/03; 11/21/03. IN A RELATED PROBLEM THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND/OR WASHERS HAVE FAIED ON THREE OCCASIONS: 7/2/02; 11/6/02 AND 12/23/02. *LA
NORMAL USAGE OF FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SEAT BELT. WHILE USING THE BELT IN A NORMAL WAY, THE RETRACTORS WILL LOCK IN A RETRACTING MODE AND WILL NOT ALLOW ANY MOVEMENT OF THE PASSENGER. BELT MUST BE RELEASED, FULLY RETRACTED AND RE ATTACHED FOR A COMFORTABLE RIDE. TRIPS TO THE DEALER AND HEARING ABOUT "THE DESIGN OF THE BELT TO DO THIS WHEN FULLY EXTENDED" HAVE NOT PREVENTED THE RECURRENCE OF THIS SCENARIO. IT CANNOT BE DEMONSTRATED ON DEMAND AND BECAUSE OF THAT THE DEALER STATED HE CANNOT LOOK INTO SOMETHING HE CANNOT WITNESS. THE PROBLEM IS INFREQUENT BUT DOES HAPPEN NON-THE-LESS. *JB
WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED FUNCTIONING WHILE DRIVING IN RAIN. VEHICLE HAS 39,000 MILES ON IT. DEALER HAD TO REPLACE WIPER CONTROL MODULE (NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY SINCE MILEAGE EXCEEDS 36,000 MILES). *LA
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD SCREECHING NOISE UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE DEALER REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION AND THE SUN SHIELD. ONE YEAR LATER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE DEALER MADE THE SAME REPAIR. THE FAILURE RECURRED FOR THE THIRD TIME A YEAR LATER AND THE DEALER STATED THAT IT WAS AN INTERNAL TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE CONTACT FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000 UPDATED 3/5/08 *CN THE CONSUMER STATED SECOND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000 AND THE THIRD WAS 167,000 MILES. THE CONSUMER FURTHER STATED THE DEALER REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION AND SUNSHIELD 1ST AND 2ND TIME BUT REFUSED THE THIRD TIME. THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER REPLACED THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE SWITCH BECAUSE IT KEPT BLINKING. UPDATED 03/05/08 *TR
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT MY BRAKE LIGHTS HAVE FAILED. LUCKILY SOMEONE BEHIND ME HAS BEEN NICE ENOUGH TO LET ME KNOW BEFORE I AM REAR ENDED. I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND HOPE THAT GM FIXES THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY HURT. THE SOCKET HAS BEEN REPLACED ONCE AND APPEARS TO BE THE PROBLEM AGAIN. IF YOU PULL THE BULB SLIGHTLY OUT OF THE SOCKET THE BRAKE LIGHTS WILL WORK, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE FIRST BUMP OR TWO YOU GO OVER SHORTS THE LIGHTS OUT AGAIN. I ONLY HOPE I CONTINUE TO HAVE NICE PEOPLE, WHO ARE PAYING ATTENTION, BEHIND ME WHEN I AM TRAVELING, OTHERWISE I MAY BE WRITING BACK TO REPORT SERIOUS DAMAGE. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH THE 4-WHEEL DRIVE ENGAGED. THIS CAUSED STEERING WHEEL TO LOCK, AND THE DRIVER HAD DIFFICULTY MAINTAINING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE TRANSFER CASE MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND REPLACED IT. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED, AND THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE TRANSFER CASE NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED ,AND REPROGRAMMED IT. THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. *AK

I OWN A 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH APPROXIMATELY 40,000 MILES. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE BRAKE LIGHTS 3 TIMES. THEY ARE OUT AGAIN. BOTH OF THEM. A LADY STOPPED ME THIS MORNING TO TELL ME. THAT EXPLAINS WHY SOMEONE ALMOST REAR-ENDED ME LAST EVENING. *LA
WHILE DRIVING ANOTHER DRIVER SIGNALED CONSUMER THAT TAIL AND BRAKE LIGHTS WERE OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S LEFT AND RIGHT CIRCUIT BOARD HAD AN OPEN CIRCUIT WHICH RESULTED IN NO BRAKES AND TAIL LIGHTS. *AK *NLM
MY WIFE WAS TRAVELLING ON I 80 WHEN THE VEHICLE LOST ALL ITS ELECTRICAL POWER, SHE WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. SHE WAS STRANDED FOR APPROX. 3 HOURS UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER.
WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN THIS OCCURRED VEHICLE LOST POWER, WHICH ALMOST RESULTED IN LOSS OF CONTROL. UPON INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THAT AN ELECTRICAL SHORT CAUSED VEHICLE TO STALL. (AK
I HAVE 4 (245-70-16) BF GOODRICH OPEN TRAIL T/A TIRES THAT CAME ORIGINAL ON MY NEW 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS 4WD. I HAVE 20,649 MILES ON MY VEHICLE. I HAVE 5/32 TREAD LEFT, I HAVE BELTS BROKEN IN THE SIDEWALL, CRACKS IN BETWEEN THE TREAD. ALTHOUGH 5/32 TREAD IS "ACCEPTABLE" ACCORDING TO B F GOODRICH I HAVE RECENTLY EXPERIENCED SLIDING IN WET CONDITIONS AS OPPOSED TO WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE VEHICLE AND THE TREAD DEPTH WAS MORE ABUNDANT. ACCORDING TO B F GOODRICH, THESE TIRES ARE NOT SUBJECT TO REPLACEMENT UNDER THE TERMS OF THEIR WARRANTY. IT'S AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGMENT TO KEEP DRIVING ON THESE TIRES, BUT IF I LISTEN TO THEM AND ACCEPT THEIR POSITION THAT THESE TIRES ARE SAFE, I WILL BE RISKING THE LIVES OF MYSELF, MY WIFE, AND MY PASSENGERS. I HOPE THIS ORGANIZATION WILL INVESTIGATE THIS TIRE AND I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HAVE THEM PULLED FROM MY VEHICLE AND SHIPPED TO YOU FOR EXAMINATION. *JB
G.M. SENT NOTICES TO COSTUMERS IN JUNE 2003 OF POSSIBLE ENGINE CYLINDER PROBLEMS IN EARLY 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZERS. THIS PBOBLEM IS QUITE SERIOUS AND HAS IN THE PISTONS, DEVELOP A KNOCK OR SLAP.THIS CAN AND DOES CAUSE DAMAGE TO CYL. WALLS AND OTHER INTERNAL PARTS. G.M.HAS OFFERED TO REPLACE PISTONS ONLY.THIS IS NOT WHAT SHOULD BE DONE IN A VEHICLE WITH ONLY 17,700 MILES.ITIS MY FEELING THE ENGINE SHOULD BE REPLACED .G.M. DOES NOT.I HAVE SPOKEN TO CHEVROLET CUSTOMER AND WAS TOLD ONLY PISTONS WOULD BE REPLACED.THIS WOULD INVOLVE NEARLY IF NOT COMPLETLY REBUILDING THE ENGINE.THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME AS I BELIVE I AN INTITLED TO HAVE THE ENGINE OF A NEW VEHICLE NOT A REBUILT ENGINE ACCEPTABLE FOR AN AGED VEHICLE. *AK
I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE BRAKE LIGHTS ON MY 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER TWICE NOW. HAVING ALMOST BEEN REAR-ENDED NUMEROUS TIMES AND IF IT WASN'T FOR OTHER DRIVERS TELLING ME MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE OUT, I'M SURE THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ACCIDENT BY NOW. BRAKE LIGHT WENT OUT MULTIPLE TIMES, CAUSING LACK OF BRAKE POWER WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM .THERE WERE NO INCIDENTS TO REPORT AT THIS TIME. *AK
THE BRAKE LIGHT CIRCUIT BOARD MELTED WHICH CAUSED THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO GO OUT. THE BRAKE LIGHT BULB HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE. *AK THE CONSUMER STATED THE WIPER MOTOR FAILED. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. *JB
MY WIFE HAS A 2-YEAR OLD CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER. THE RIGHT BRAKE LIGHT HAS BURNED OUT TWICE AND THE LEFT BRAKE LIGHT HAS BURNED OUT ONCE. I'VE NOTICED MANY TRAIL BLAZERS ON THE ROAD WITH BURNED OUT BRAKE LIGHTS. IS THIS A QUALITY ISSUE OR A DESIGN ISSUE? IS GM AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM? ARE THEY DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT? THANK YOU. *JB
ELECTRONIC EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRRORS AND POWER SEAT ENGAGE AND OPERATE BY THEMSELVES. DEALERSHIP CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM. *AK THE MEMORY FOR THE MIRRORS AND SEAT WOULD NOT KEEP THEIR POSITION. WHEN THE CONSUMER ENTERED OR EXITED THE VEHICLE THE SYSTEMS WOULD RESET TO A NEW POSITION. OCCASIONALLY THEY MOVED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE DEALER HAS REPLACED MANY COMPONENTS BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE OXYGEN SENSOR. THE A/C CONTROL MODE BUTTON BECAME STUCK AND WAS NOISY. THE DEALER REPLACED THE A/C MODULE HEAD. THE LEFT WINDSHIELD WIPER CHATTERED AND SKIPPED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WIPER INSERT. THE 4WD SWITCH FLUCTUATED BETWEEN 4WH AND A4WH. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND REPLACED THE TRANSFER CASE SELECT SWITCH. *TS *NLM

TRANSMISSION WENT OUT COULDN'T DRIVE-REPAIRED/ REAR WINDOW WON'T ROLL-UP/SEATBELT WON'T RETRACT, LATER FIXED, BUT STILL WON'T WORK ON OCCASION/ BRAKE LIGHTS HAVE GONE OUT 5+ TIMES REPAIRED STILL NOT OPERATIONAL/ WATER PUMP EXPLODED/REAR WINDOW WON'T LOCK FIRST TRY/ CHECK ENGINE LLIGHT STAYS ON. *AK
SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR THERE HAVE BEEN A NUMBER OF SAFETY ISSUES. THE FIRST WAS THE TRANSMISSION. I BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES WITH COMPLAINTS OF THE CAR HAVING SPELLS WHERE IT WAS DIFFICULT TO DRIVE AND ON TWO OF THOSE OCCASIONS IT NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE THIRD TIME I HAD TO STOP THE CAR ON A BUSY HIGHWAY AND HAVE THE CAR TOWED IN FOR REPAIR. THE HAVE SINCE REPAIRED THE TRANSMISSION. THE SECOND ISSUE WAS THE CAR WAS STALLING INTERMITTENTALY. THE FINAL TIME I HAD IT TOWED IN AND THERE WAS SOME ELECTRICAL ISSUE THEY HAVE RESOLVED. I AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO RESOLVE THE THIRD ISSUE WITH THE CAR. THE CAR ENGINE IS REVING VERY LOUDLY AND IF I ACCELERATE BEYOND 40 MILES/HOUR THE CAR LUNGES FORWARD. I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP YET BUT THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IT HAS BEEN IN ON THIS ISSUE. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO NOTE I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM CLASSIC CHEVROLET AND THEY LIED ABOUT THE SAFETY FEATURES OF THE CAR. I WAS TOLD THAT IT HAD THE LATCH SYSTEM AND WHEN MY SON WAS BORN IN MAY I FOUND OUT THAT IN FACT IT DID NOT HAVE THE LATCH SYSTEM. GMC HAS STATED THAT THEY HAVE NO WAY TO REPROMAND THE DEALERSHIP FOR LYING ABOUT SAFETY FEATURES ON CARS. I PURCHASED THIS CAR BECAUSE I WANTED A NEW SAFE CAR TO START A FAMILY AND I ENDED UP WITH A LEMON OF A CAR THAT IS THE MOST MECHANICALLY UNSTABLE THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I ENDED UP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD STRANDED WHEN I WAS PREGNANT NEARLY AN DOZEN TIMES.*AK
ON MY 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, I HAVE BEN PULLED OVER BY POLICE 3 TIMES BECAUSE OF ONE OF MY REAR TAILLIGHTS ALWAYS BEING OUT. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES SINCE AND HAVE HAD IT REPARIED. THIS WILL BE # 4 IN REPAIRS TO THE LIGHT. *AK
CONSUMER STATES IS HAVING TROUBLE WITH ADJUSTABLE MIRRORS. MIRRORS MOVE WHILE DRIVING SOMETIMES WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW CONSUMER TO SEE VEHICLES ON EITHER SIDE OF HIM. HE HAS HAD A COUPLE OF NEAR ACCIDENTS BECAUSE AFTER THE MIRRORS WERE ADJUSTED WHILE DRIVING THEY READJUSTED BY THEMSELVES. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN REPAIR SHOP 4-5 TIMES FOR THE SAME THING, AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. *AK
I HAVE HAD EVERY RECALL THERE IS AND THEN SOME THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE RECALL LIST. BRAKE LIGHTS IS A BIG ISSUE, THEY ARE NOT ON THE RECALL AND THEY SHOULD BE! THEY ARE NOT SEALED PROPERLY SO THE CIRCUIT BOARDS ARE EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS AND THEN THEY GO OUT CONSTANTLY! IF YOU ARE OUT OF WARRANTY, YOU PAY!!*AK
BRAKE LIGHTS DEFECTIVE. I HAVE HAD THE BRAKE LIGHTS REPLACED 3 TIMES ON MY 2002 TRAILBLAZER. MY FAMILY OWNS SEVERAL TRAILBLAZERS (2002 AND 2003 MODEL YEARS) AND EVERY ONE OF THEM HAS HAD AT LEAST ONE DEFECTIVE BRAKE LIGHT, SOME VEHILCES WITH MULTIPLE FAILURES. CAN BE EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT BRAKE LIGHT THAT FAILS. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED MANY OTHER TRAILBLAZERS WITH DEFECTIVE BRAKE LIGHTS ON THE ROAD.*AK
WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A SIDE COLLISION. UPON IMPACT NEITHER THE FRONT OR SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK *NLM
THE JACK WAS INSTALLED UNDERNEATH THE PASSENGER'S REAR SEAT. THE CONSUMER WENT TO UNSCREW THE JACK WHEN THE PIN FROM THE JACK SHOT UP AND HIT THE CONSUMER IN THE LEFT EYE. THE PIN CAUSED PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE. MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED AT THE TIME OF THIS CALL. *AK *NLM
CONSUMER LOST STEERING AND HIT A TREE HEAD ON. IN ADDITION, THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO LOCK CAUSING INJURIES TO THE CONSUMER (DRIVER). SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I HAVE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS PUTTING GAS IN THE VEHICLE. THE GAS PUMP KEEPS STOPPING - AS IF THE CAR IS FULL. THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY, BUT NOT ALWAYS. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH STATION I GO TO. THE DEALER REPLACED SOME FILLER HOSES OR SOMETHING AFTER I HAD TAKEN IT IN A FEW TIMES, BUT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. IT IS VERY ANNOYING AND SOMETIMES I ONLY FILL THE CAR UP 1/2 - 3/4 FULL BECAUSE I CAN'T TELL IF IT IS FULL OR NOT. I SQUEEZE THE HANDLE AND IT IMMEDIATELY KICKS OFF. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHEN OTHERS ARE FUELING THE VEHICLE. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF I TURN THE NOZZLE DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS OR PULL IT PART OF THE WAY OUT OF THE VEHICLE. I ALSO FREQUENTLY OVERFILL THE VEHICLE BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW THAT IT IS FULL. I NOTICED SOMEONE ELSE REPORTED THIS AS A CONSUMER COMPLAINT - SO IT'S NOT JUST MY TRAILBLAZER WITH THE PROBLEM! IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO FILL THE TANK WHEN YOU CAN ONLY PUT 1 SECOND WORTH OF GAS IN AT A TIME! NOW MY WARRANTY IS OUT, SO I AM PROBABLY STUCK WITH THIS PROBLEM AS LONG AS I HAVE THE VEHICLE.
