GM IGNITION SWITCH RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED. MY MOTHER PURCHASED A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER NEW. APPROXIMATELY 5,000 MILES INTO OWNERSHIP, THE CAR WOULD "DROP" VARIOUS ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. FOR INSTANCE, WHILE DRIVING, THE ENGINE WOULD CONTINUE TO RUN, BUT THE WIPERS WOULD STOP WORKING, HVAC WOULD TURN OFF, AIR BAG AND ABS WARNING LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE, ETC. DEALER HAD NO IDEA HOW TO FIX. EVENTUALLY THEY REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED. TO MY KNOWLEDGE, GM NEVER ISSUED A RECALL, BUT I'M SURE THE ISSUE IS NOT ISOLATED. THESE SWITCHES WERE UNRELIABLE ACROSS SEVERAL VEHICLE LINES, PLEASE INVESTIGATE GMT 360 PLATFORM WELL. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 80 IN 2 WHEEL DRIVE LOW AT 65MPH. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VIBRATE AND I LOOKED AT THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE SELECTOR SWITCH AND THE LIGHT WAS FLASHING FOR ALL WHEEL DRIVE. THIS SHOULD ONLY HAPPEN WHEN THE SWITCH IS TURNED TO THAT POSITION. THEN THE RPMS ON THE VEHICLE RED LINED AND THE LIGHT WENT TO SOLID GREEN ON 4 WHEEL DRIVE LOW. AT THAT POINT THE VEHICLE WENT INTO A 360 DEGREE SPIN ON THE INTERSTATE. LUCKILY I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING OR ANYONE. THE VEHICLE CAME TO REST IN A DITCH. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE OFF THE INTERSTATE AND WHEN DOING SO THE SELECTOR SWITCH WAS SHIFTING BETWEEN ALL THE OPTIONS FROM 4 WHEEL DRIVE TO ALL WHEEL DRIVE. I STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND LET THE VEHICLE RUN WHILE I WAITED FOR A TOW TRUCK. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK THE LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING AND THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTING IN PARK. EACH TIME THE VEHICLE SHIFTED THE VEHICLE WOULD LUNGE FORWARD 2 TO 3 FEET. MY FAMILY WAS IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME AND ARE AFRAID TO BE IN THIS VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THE COMPUTER IS SHOWING NO MALFUNCTION CODES. THEY HAVE DRIVEN THE VEHICLE AND THE PROBLEM HAS NOT HAPPENED TO THEM. THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE. DT
I OWN A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS WITH APPROXIMATELY 11,000 MILES WHICH HAD AN ENGINE FAILURE ON THANKSGIVING 2002. ENTERING AND ACCELERATING TO APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH ON HIGHWAY IN ABOUT 25 DEGREE TEMPERATURE AND ENGINE SERVICE LIGHT APPEARED FOLLOWED BY REDUCED ENGINE POWER LIGHT AND THEN ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING AND COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. DEALER ADVISED ME THAT NUMBER 4 CYCLINDER CRACKED. THEY FURTHER ADVISED ME THAT GM IS AWARE OF A MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN SOME TRAILBLAZER ENGINES THAT WAS CAUSED BY A MISCALIBRATION OF THE MACHINE USED TO MANUFACTURE THE ENGINE. GM REPLACED MY ENGINE AT NO COST TO ME UNDER ORIGINAL WARRANTY. THIS SUDDEN ENGINE FAILURE COULD HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY IF I HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO ROLL THE VEHICLE TO THE BREAKDOWN LANE SAFELY. FROM NHTSA WEB SITE.
WE WHERE HIT BROADSIDE BUCKLING THE FLOOR ROOF TEARING THE COMPLETE FRONT END OUT OF THE TRUCK AND NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED SIDE OR FRONT
VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE 6 TIMES. VEHICLE PURCHASED IN OCT 01. FIRST INSTANCE WAS JAN 2002. WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT APPROX 65-70 MPH IN A4WD. VEHICLE SHIFTED DOWN INTO 4LO CAUSING LOSS OF POWER & CONTROL. SERVICE 4WD LIGHT CAME ON. VEHICLE WOULD NOT COME OUT OF 4WD UNTIL IT HAD BEEN PARKED & SHUT OFF. MODE SWITCH ON DASH WAS REPLACED FOLLOWING INCIDENT. ONE WEEK LATER, VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO 4HI WHILE DRIVING IN 2HI. MODE SWITCH WAS AGAIN REPLACED. AUGUST 2002, PROBLEMS WERE AGAIN EXPERIENCED AS 4HI AND 4LO LIGHTS WOULD FLASH SIMULTANEOUSLY. DEALER REPLACED TRANSFER CASE SHIFT MODULE. NOV 2002 WHEN SWITCHING INTO A4WD, NO LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO DEALER. AUTOMATIC TRANSFER CASE UPDATE WAS INSTALLED. FIVE DAYS LATER WHILE IN A4WD, LIGHTS FLASHED FOR 4HI. SHIFTING WAS COMPLETED. WHILE STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT, 4LO LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING. WHEN PRESSING GAS LOSS OF POWER WAS EXPERIENCED. LIGHTS CONTINUED TO FLASH UNTIL VEHICLE WAS PUT IN NEUTRAL. VEHICLE SHIFTED TO 4LO. EACH TIME SHIFTING WAS COMPLETED THERE WAS A JERK IN THE REAR OF VEHICLE. SERVICE 4WD LIGHT CAME ON. VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF 4LO UNTIL TURNED OFF. DEALER TEST DROVE FOR SEVERAL DAYS & COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM. UPON PICKING UP THE VEHICLE WAS TOLD THAT THEY HOPED WHATEVER WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEMS WOULD COMPLETELY FAIL & MAKE THE NEEDED CORRECTION OBVIOUS. UPON LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP IN 2HI, WITHIN 2 MILES, 4HI LIGHT BEGAN TO FLASH, SHIFTED DOWN & SERVICE 4WD LIGHT CAME ON. RETURNED TO DEALERSHIP WITHOUT TURNING OFF OR PARKING SO THAT THEY COULD SEE THE EXACT STATE. RAN A TEST & INDICATED THAT THE SWITCH HAD MALFUNCTIONED. SWITCH WAS REPLACED ON SITE. WE HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH CHEVROLET'S CUSTOMER SERVICE. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE A SERIOUS INCIDENT OCCURS AS A RESULT OF THEIR PRODUCT'S MALFUNCTION. MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY ARE INCREASINGLY SEEING SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THE 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER & NUMEROUS OTHER MECHANICAL PROBLEMS.
BRAKE LIGHT BULBS I HAVE REPLACED THE BRAKE LIGHT BULBS 2 TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS I RECENTLY BLEW ANOTHER MAKING IT THE THIRD BULD ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BE SERVICED AND IT WAS SAID THAT THERE WAS A SEAL THAT WAS LETTING MOISTURE IN THE ASSEMBLY, NEW ASSEMBLY WAS PUT ON AND JUST RECENTLY BLEW ANOTHER BULB. THERE ARE THREE BULBS IN THE SAME ASSEMBLY WHY IS IT ONLY THE BRAKE LIGHT BULD THAT IS AFFECTED IF IT WERE CAUSED BY A LEAKING SEAL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE HEAD LIGHT WAS ABNORMALLY POINTED UPWARD AT A HIGHER ANGLE THEN NORMAL. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THERE WAS NO ADJUSTMENT AVAILABLE FOR THE HEADLIGHT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHT SHOULD BE POINTED STRAIGHT. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN FRONT OF A WALL TO INSPECT THE ANGLE OF THE HEAD LIGHTS, THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT WOULD HIT THE WALL ABOUT EIGHT INCHES HIGHER THAN THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 77,784. UPDATED 1/19/2010 *CN THE CONSUMER STATED THE RIGHT HEADLAMP WAS NOT PROPERLY AIMED. GM STATED THAT NO ADJUSTMENT WAS POSSIBLE. THE CONSUMER WENT TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP AND WAS INFORMED THE HEADLAMP WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. THE CONSUMER WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND REQUESTED THAT THEY INSTALL IT CORRECTLY. THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. UPDATED 03/25/11
CONSUMER STATES AT 55 MPH THE VEHICLE TRANSMISSION SWITCHED TO ALL WHEEL DRIVE. CONSUMER STATES THERE WAS A TREMEDOUS LOSS OF POWER, TOSSING CONSUMER LIKE A RAG DOG. DEALER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. PH
THE WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY SNAPPED WHERE THE MOTOR CONNECTS TO THE WIPER ARMS MAKING THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS INOPERABLE. SECOND FAILURE WAS WIPER MOTOR DUE TO WATER INTRUSION. THE WIPER FAILED TO OPERATE DURING RAIN. ALSO TURNED ON BY THEMSELVES AFTER CAR WASH BUT COULDN'T BE TURNED OFF. THE WIPERS WORKED PROPERLY AFTER THE WIPER MOTOR DRIED OUT.
PURCHASED CAR TWO WEEKS LATER WAS IN DEALERSHIP WITH PROBLEMS WHEN DRIVING. WAS TOLD TIRES WERE BAD. TIRES WERE REPLACED. CAR HAS TWO NOISES WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND YOU HIT A BUMP. CAR STILL HAS WHINNING SOUND IN THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR EVEN THOUGH THE SEAL HAS BEEN REPLACED IN ALL 4 DOORS. WHEN YOU CLOSE THE DRIVER DOOR YOU HEAR THE SAME NOISE THAT YOU HEAR WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. HAS ALREADY BEEN TO THE DEALER FOR THIS SEVERAL TIMES BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT. *NLM
WHILE DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEED, 65-70 MPH, A GRINDING, RATCHETING SOUND WAS HEARD FROM THE DRIVETRAIN AND THE LIGHTS ON THE TRANSFER CASE SWITCH MOVED BACK AND FORTH FROM 2WD TO 4HI AND 4LOW. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, THEY FIRST COMPLETED THE RECALL #01065 TO REPROGRAM THE TRANSFER CASE. WHEN THEY ROAD TESTED THE CAR THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE EARLIER COMPLAINT OF GRINDING METAL. THE SERVICE ADVISOR INDICATED THAT THE RECALL PROBABLY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. MY QUESTION IS, WHAT DID ALL THAT METAL GRINDING NOISE DO TO THE LONGEVITY OF THE TRANSFER CASE, AND WHAT IF IT FAILS AFTER THE 3 YEAR, 36 MONTH WARRANTY?
WHILE TRAVELING ABOUT 40MPH THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED WITH A FRONTAL COLLISION. NEITHER AIRBAG DEPLOY PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. DEALER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. TS
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE WILL GO INTO FOUR WHEEL DRIVE LOW. THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE IS TO BE USE IN THE SHOWN WEATHER. PLEASE FURNISH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION DEALERS IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. MR
MY VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH OUTSIDE MIRRORS THAT HAVE A POSITION MEMORY FOR EACH DRIVER. WHEN I USE THE KEYLESS REMOTE ENTRY. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO RETURN TO THE LAST MEMORIZED POSITION. INSTEAD, THEY CONSISTENTLY MOVE TO AN EXTREME POSITION, MAKE A LOUD CLICKING SOUND. THEN STICK IN THAT POSITION. SEVERAL TIMES I'VE FOUND MYSELF TRING TO CHANGE LANES IN TRAFFIC WITHOUT THE USE OF MY SIDE MIRRORS BECAUSE THEY ARE POINTING TOWARD THE PAVEMENT. THE DEALER IS UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. CHEVROLET IS AWARE OF THE DEFECT AND HAS CORRECTED IT ON THE 2003 MODEL, BUT REFUSES TO FIX MY VEHICLE. DT
THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED 10/29/2004 AROUND 7:00 PM. MY HUSBAND, WAS TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY 27 NORTH COMING HOME FROM VICKSBURG, MS. THE ACCIDENT REPORT CLAIMED HE LOST CONTROL OF THE 2002 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER HE WAS DRIVING AND CROSSED INTO THE OTHER LANE. HE WAS HIT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE BY THE VEHICLE IN THE SOUTH BOUND LANE. THE ACCIDENT REPORT USED THE PHRASE "T BONED" IN DESCRIBING THE IMPACT OF THE VEHICLES. MY HUSBAND'S VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY ON IMPACT AND HE COULDN'T BE SAVED ACCORDING TO THE WITNESSES. *JB
THE FIRST TIME I HAD PROBLEMS WAS ABOUT A MONTH AGO WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN TO LYNCH SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND IT WAS TAKEN CARED OF THAT SAME DAY. ON 10/25/2002 MY CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AND IT WOULD NOT START FOR ME AT ALL. I HAD MY VEHICLE TOWED TO GILLESPIE CHEVY DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND AS OF TODAY 10/29/2002 MY VEHICLE IS STILL THERE . I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM BUT THAT WAS ALL I WAS TOLD. I HAVE A STACK OF PAPERWORK OF EVERYTIME I BROUGHT THIS INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX AND HAVE HAD ABOUT 5 RENTAL CARS DUE TO THIS. NOW AFTER SEARCHING THIS SITE I FIND THERE HAVE BEEN ALOT OF RECALLS ON THESE AND I HAVENT BEEN INFORMED ABOUT ANY OF THEM BESIDES THE ONE FOR SECURITY. PLEASE HELP ME. THE FUEL TANK ON MY VEHICLE HAS LEAKED OR HAD AN EVAP LEAK DETECTED AND HAD NEEDED A REPLACEMENT 4 TIMES IN 7 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP. FIRST REPLACEMENT AT 2288 MILES ON10/04/02, THEN 18474 MILES ON 10/17/03, THEN 34782 MILES ON 08/21/04 AND 96121 MILES ON 01/21/09.THE CAR DEALERSHIP HAS COMPLETED THE REPLACEMENTS EACH TIME AND WERE PREVIOUSLY COVERED BY MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. IT IS NOW NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY AND NEEDS REPLACING AGAIN AT $1000 EXPENSE. *TR

UPON STARTING VEHICLE CONSUMER NOTICED THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT ILLUMINATED. CONSUMER STATED TOOK TO DEALER AND DEALER REPLACED THE GAS TANK. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. TS
CONSUMER STATES THAT TRANSMISSION FAILED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING. VEHICLE ONLY HAD 200 MILES. DEALER REPLACED TRANSMISSION AND 2 WEEKS LATER REPLACEMENT BEGAN LOSING POWER. DEALER SERVICED, BUT PROBLEM HAS RECURRED. TS
I PURCHASED A NEW 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER IN THE SPRING OF 2002. AS EARLY AS THE FALL OF 2002 THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO RANDOMLY/AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE FROM 2 WHEEL DRIVE TO 4 WHEEL DRIVE. THE SWITCH WAS NOT TOUCHED AND WAS IN 2WHEEL DRIVE, BUT THE LIGHT FOR 4 WHEEL DRIVE WAS ON AND THE CAR WAS IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE. THIS USUALLY WOULD OCCUR ON THE HIGHWAY AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. I MENTIONED THIS TO THE DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT RECREATE THE SCENARIO. TWO MONTHS AGO, THE TRANSMISSION ON THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT 29,000 MILES. I BELIEVE THIS WAS DUE TO THE AUTOMATIC CHANGING OF 2 TO 4 WHEEL DRIVE. I DEMANDED THE DEALERSHIP CORRECT THE ISSUE. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE IN TO THEIR SHOP FOUR TIMES SINCE TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM CORRECTED, AND IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. I AM CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY WIFE AND FAMILY ANS THIS VEHICLE IS USED TO TRANSPORT THEM AROUND. IS THERE ANY RECOURSE FOR ME REGARDING THIS SITUATION. TIRE BLOW OUT ON A STRAIGHT ROAD (ROUTE 22, PA) WITH NOTHING TO CAUSE THE BLOW OUT RESULTING IN CRASH WITH ANOTHER CAR AND THE BARRIER WALL. NO ONE WAS INJURED. MR
WHEN MY CAR WAS WITHIN THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY, THE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG LIGHT WOULD COME ON INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE. NOW THE LIGHTS COME ON AND OR BLINK CONTINUOUSLY. SERVICE BULLETIN SEEMS TO MATCH 02V222000. DEALER SAYS NO RECALLS MATCH COMPLAINT. MECHANIC SAYS THERE ARE NO CODES. THE MODULE THAT CONTROLS THE SEAT BELT AND AIRBAGS HAS MALFUNCTIONED. TWO OTHER MODULES HAVE BEEN REPLACED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY, WILL NOT COVER ANYTHING RELATED TO SAFETY. PARTS AND LABOR ARE $500.00 ALONE! *JB
2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. NUMEROUS PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH CAR. WINDOWS DON'T COME DOWN, DOORS DON'T UNLOCK, AND OTHER ISSUES. *TA THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN HE TURNED THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, THE WINDOWS WOULD NOT ROLL DOWN, UNLESS IT WAS DONE MANUALLY. THERE WAS A LOCKING AND UNLOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE DOORS. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE WIRING INSIDE THE DOORS. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED DUE TO A SMALL EVAP LEAK AND AFTER MARKET FUEL CAP.*JB THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE INOPERATIVE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS WERE FLICKING ON AND OFF, THE INSIDE DOME LIGHT WOULD NOT COME ON. AFTER NOTICING A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE AND DISCOVERING A PUDDLE OF GASOLINE UNDER THE FUEL TANK, IT WAS DISCOVERED THE FUEL TANK HAD A SPLIT IN THE TANK WHERE THE FILLER NECK JOINS THE TANK. TS
THE PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT BELT WILL CONTINUOUSLY TIGHTEN UP AFTER IT IS BUCKLED. MANUFACTURER CLAIMS THAT THIS IS THE WAY THE BELT IS DESIGNED FOR THE USE WITH CHILD SAFETY SEATS.*AK

CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE DRIVING THE CHECK ENGINE CAME ON. HAD VEHICLE SERVICED AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE GAS CAP WAS LOOSE. THEY TIGHTENED AND THE IT LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. TOOK VEHICLE BACK AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE FILLER PIPE THAT WAS LEAKING FUEL FUMES. MR
AIR/HEAT VENTS HAVE A REALLY BAD ODOR. THE DEALER HAS CLEANED AND SPRAY SOMETHING IN THEM AND SUGGESTED I DO THE SAME. I HAVE DONE SO. THIS CAUSES A SEVERE SMELL IN THE VEHICLE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS THAT MAKES OCCUPANTS SICK, THEN THE SMELL WILL DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS THEN RETURN. THE DEALER SAYS THAT IT IS SOME TYPE OF MOLD OR MILDEW IN THE VENTS. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.
WIRING HARNESS BURNED UP. CAUSED DAMAGE TO CONTROL PANEL, DASH, COMPUTER SYSTEM. ENTIRE VEHICLE GUTTED TO REPLACE WIRING. A DOOR PANEL WAS BROKEN IN PROCESS. SEVERAL RATTLES NOW EXIST. WE WERE TOLD THERE WAS NO WAY OF KNOWING IF ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WOULD OCCUR AGAIN. GM AGREED FOR REPURCHASE. HOWEVER, THEY DELAYED PROCEDURE SO THAT 0% FINANCING CAN NOT APPLY. ALSO WANTED US TO PAY OUT OF POCKET, BUY BACK AMOUNT SAID WE WOULD BE REIMBURCED, BUT WOULD NOT PUT IT IN WRITING. DT
FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW SHATTERED FOR NO APPARENT REASON-HEARD A POP, AND THE ENTIRE WINDOW SHATTERED. FOR THE REAR SEATBELTS, THE INERTIA LOCKS ACTIVATE AND THE BELTS LOCK UP TOO EASILY, TRAPPING THE PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. TO RELEASE THE BELT, IT MUST BE COMPLETELY REMOVED AND REATTACHED. DEALER CLAIMS THIS IS NORMAL OPERATION, DUE TO CHILD SEAT SAFETY DESIGN. BUT THIS DESIGN SEEMS DANGEROUS TO THE ADULT OR GROWN CHILDREN AS PASSENGERS.*AK
THERE IS A NOISE THAT COMES FROM STEERING WHEN THE CONSUMER IS MAKING A TURN, CONTACTED DEALER, AND THE DEALER REPLACED STEERING COLUMN AND GEARS IN STEERING.*AK

DONT KNOW WHERE TO START. SQUEAKING NOISE WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS (SOUNDS LIKE IT IS COMING FROM SUSPENSION). METAL GRINDING NOISE IN BRAKES, TICKING NOISE FROM ENGINE, SEAT BELT AND AIRBAG LIGHTS HAVE COME ON FOR NO REASON, REAR LATCH HAS COME OPEN WHILE DRIVING, TAIL LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS BURNING OUT FREQENTLY, TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING ON TAKE OFF, NO CAUSE FOUND IN THE SEVERAL TIMES IT HAS BEEN TAKEN IN FOR THIS. NOW MY TRANSMISSION IS OUT. JUST HAPPENED YESTURDAY. DON'T FEEL LIKE I CAN BLAME THE DEALERSHIP AFTER READING ALL THE COMPLAINTS. I THINK THE FAULT LIES ON THE SHOULDERS OF GM. *AK

I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS OF PROBLEMS WITH MY 2002 TRAILBLAZER. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MY REAR TAIL LIGHT HOUSING 3 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR. I HAVE ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE CLUTCH FAN 3 TIMES WITHIN 3 MONTHS. MY HOOD KEEPS SQUEAKING AND HAS TO BE READJUSTED EVERY OTHER MONTH. MY INSTRUMENT PANEL HAS GONE OUT TWICE. THE ALARM ALSO WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO AND THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT ALWAYS LOCKS UP. ON 6/13/03 IT LEFT FINALLY LEFT ME STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ON THE WAY TO CALIFORNIA. I LIVE IN ARIZONA AND WAS TRAVELING WITH MY WIFE, MOTHER-IN-LAW AND OUR 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. I HAD TO PAY FOR A RENTAL CAR AND HAD TO SUBMIT TO GM TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THE RENTAL CAR.
