TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHEN THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO REVERSE, HE NOTICED THAT THE RPM'S WOULD RISE; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. HE ALSO NOTICED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR UNLESS THE CONTACT RELEASED THE PRESSURE OFF OF THE THROTTLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP AND IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE SUN SHIELD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 39,544.
SES LIGHT ON. BROUGHT TO LOCAL REPAIR SHOP AND DEALER, WHICH BOTH VERIFIED A P0304 CODE INDICATING A MISFIRE ON CYL 4. I DECIDED TO CHANGE SPARK PLUGS AND FOUND WATER IN THE UPPER CYLINDER AROUND THE SPARK PLUG AND THE SPARK PLUG COIL FROM CYL 4 WAS CORRODED. REPLACED PLUGS AND CLEANED COIL AS BEST I COULD. I FOUND A TSB INDICATING THAT THIS IS KNOWN PROBLEM AND DEALERS ARE TOLD TO INSTALL A SEAL TO STOP WATER FROM DRAINING ON TO THE ENGINE. I CALLED CHEVY CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT THE REFUSED TO COVER THE INSTALL OR THE REPAIR. *TR
FAILURE OF TRANSMISSION ON 9-3-08. NEAR COLLISION WITH ONCOMING CAR BECAUSE OF LOSS OF POWER AS I TURNED LEFT AND TRIED TO ACCELERATE ACROSS THE CENTER LINE. THE CAR WOULD NO LONGER MOVE FORWARD OR IN REVERSE. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS THE FAILURE OF THE SUN SHELL, A $39 DOLLAR PART. THE ENTIRE ORDEAL COST ME OVER $3600.00 AND CLIMBING. THE FAILURE OF THE SUN SHELL SHEARED OFF THE CHEAP GEARS AND THE FRAGMENTS FILTERED THROUGH MY TRANSMISSION CAUSING MORE DAMAGE. MY CAR HAD 76,094 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME. THE OWNERS MANUAL STATES THAT SERVICE FOR THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT DUE UNTIL 100,000 MILES. I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING A DEPENDABLE CAR. THIS, I CONSIDER A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. IF I WAS IN TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY AND THE TRANSMISSION FAILED I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN SERIOUS TROUBLE. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF WAS IN THE PATH OF A SEMI TRUCK. IN THE NAME OF SAFETY AND THE CONSUMERS POCKET BOOKS WHO FUND THIS ENGINEERING GAFF, I THINK THIS ISSUE SHOULD EVOKE SERIOUS CONSIDERATION BY THE NHTSA TO ENFORCE A RECALL OF THE SUN SHELL TRANSMISSION PART IN ALL GM CARS. *TR
HEADLIGHT PLUG MELTED 3 SEPARATE TIMES CAUSING THE HEADLIGHT TO BECOME NON-FUNCTIONAL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE AND THE RPM'S INCREASED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND HAS NOT YET BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. SHE DID NOT NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCES BEFOREHAND. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 154,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT THE GEAR INTO REVERSE, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE. SHE CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND, ONCE AT HER DESTINATION, UNSUCCESSFULLY ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE AGAIN. THE FOLLOWING MORNING, SHE ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AGAIN AND IT MADE VERY LOUD NOISES UNDER THE HOOD. IN ADDITION, THE GEAR WOULD STILL NOT SHIFT INTO REVERSE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT SHE WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME FAILURES MENTIONED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 01V334000 (POWER TRAIN:TRANSFER CASE (4-WHEEL DRIVE)). THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED HER THAT HER VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL; THEREFORE, SHE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COSTS. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,660 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 141,694.
I OWN A 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS PROBLEMS DEALING WITH BULBS. THE MAIN ISSUE I'M HAVING NOW IS THE FAN CLUTCH. MY ENGINE REVS REALLY HIGH WHEN I'M DRIVING. THE COST OF THE REPAIR IS WELL OVER $900. I BELIEVE THIS SHOULD QUALIFY AS A RECALL. I'VE RESEARCHED VARIOUS MESSAGE BOARDS & FIND THIS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH TRAILBLAZER OWNERS. *TR
THERE WERE NO SIGNS OR SYMPTOMS OF THE TRANSMISSION SUNSHELL BREAKING. I NEVER TOWED ANYTHING, NO OFF ROAD DRIVING, NO HARD SHIFTING, NOTHING. I JUST WOKE UP WENT OUT TO GO TO THE STORE STARTED MY TRAILBLAZER AND NO REVERSE GEAR JUST A WHINNING NOISE. *TR
SMELLED GASOLINE AROUND SUV, BECAME MORE PROMINENT ONE DAY WHEN STARTING SUV GASOLINE POURED OUT FROM UNDER. HAD SUV TOWED TO REPAIR STATION HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL SENDING MODULE COST ME 367.90 PARTS 165.00 LABOR. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I LOST POWER. I PULLED OVER AND FOUND THE TRANSMISSION COOLANT LINES HAD CORRODED. TRANSMISSION FLUID HAD ALL LEAKED OUT AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS RUINED. THE CAR WAS SERVICED AT THE DEALER 2 DAYS EARLIER AT THE DEALER. I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A TYPICAL PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE AND SHOULD BE A RECALL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH IN RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE CONTROL MODULE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THERE WERE NO PRIOR RECALL DEFECT REPAIRS MADE TO THE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER DATABASE INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 04V046000 (VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER); THEREFORE, THEY REFUSED TO PROVIDE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
FAN CLUTCH REPLACED ON MY 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER THIS YEAR AND ALSO A WATER PUMP SECOND TIME. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE REPAIR SHOP FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, IN WHICH THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLAMP WAS REPLACED. TWO WEEKS AFTER THE REPAIR, THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLAMP FAILED. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND THEY INSPECTED THE HEADLIGHT AND CONCLUDED THAT THE WIRING MELTED. THE CONTACT THEN CALLED THE DEALER IN REFERENCE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06E025000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS) AND WAS INFORMED THAT HER VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE VIN RANGE. SHE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COSTS. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CONTACT IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 89,000.
THE FAN CLUTCH ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL HAS A LONG HISTORY OF FAILURE, REPAIR MECHANIC HAS REPLACED MANY OF THESE UNITS. THIS FAILURE CAUSES A LOUD NOISE TO EMANATE FROM THE ENGINE AND RENDERS THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO POTENTIAL ENGINE OVERHEARTING AND FAN CLUTCH LOCK-UP. *TR
THE FIRST MAJOR PROBLEM I HAD WITH THIS TRAILBLAZER I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 65 MPH WHEN FOR SOME REASON THE 4WD DECIDED TO SHIFT INTO 4 LOW ON ITS OWN. WELL, THIS RIPPED OUT THE CV JOINT HALF SHAFT ON ONE SIDE, DESTROYED THE TRANSFER CASE INTERNALS AND BROKE OFF THE AXLE HOUSING FROM THE ALUMINUM OIL PAN ON THE ENGINE. OK, I GOT THAT FIXED, ADDED A NEW SELECTOR SWITCH, THEN A FEW THOUSAND MILES LATER THE TRANSMISSION GOES OUT WHILE I'M ON THE INTERSTATE. IT WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED INSIDE. THE TRANSMISSION SHOP HAD TO FIND A NEW CORE BECAUSE MINE LOOKED LIKE A BOMB HAD WENT OFF INSIDE IT. SO , I'M THINKING IT COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY THE FIRST PROBLEM, MAYBE A DELAYED REACTION? OK, WE GET A REBUILT TRANSMISSION IN IT AND JUST OUT OF WARRANTY IT GOES OUT AGAIN. NO TOWING MIND YOU, JUST EASY HIGHWAY MILES WITH A MIND ON TRYING TO GET THE BEST FUEL MILEAGE POSSIBLE BY DRIVING LIKE THERE WAS AN EGG BETWEEN MY FOOT AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. SO, I GO TO ANOTHER TRANSMISSION SHOP THIS TIME. MAYBE THE FIRST GUY DIDN'T DO A GOOD JOB I'M THINKING. SO THE 2ND TRANSMISSION GUY TELLS ME THAT'S NOT UNCOMMON FOR THE 4L60E TO GO OUT LIKE THAT, THEY'RE GARBAGE. SO HE PUTS ME IN A NEW TRANNY. WELL, SURE ENOUGH 6 MONTHS LATER IT LOST 3RD AND 4TH GEARS. THE LOCAL SHOP IS NOT TO BLAME, THESE TRANSMISSIONS ARE JUNK. MANY HAVE FLAWS IN THEM AND GM KNOWS IT. SO WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO? UNLESS I RECEIVE A RECALL NOTICE ON THE TRANSMISSION, THE TRAILBLAZER WILL KEEP ITS PLACE IN THE BACKYARD. UNTIL THE JUNK MAN COMES AROUND. *TR

I HAVE A 2002 TRAILBLAZER IN WHICH 4 OUT OF THE SIX INSTRUMENTS IN THE GAUGE CLUSTER HAVE STOPPED WORKING CORRECTLY WHICH IN TURN COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR

FUEL LEAKING FROM TOP OF GAS TANK AT THE FUEL PUMP. *TR
I OWN A 2002 TRAILBLAZER LS. THE VEHICLE HAS ACQUIRED APPROXIMATELY 82,800 MILES. ON A LEAST FIVE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, WHILE COVERED UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MIDWAY CHEVROLET LOCATED AT 5915 MONTANA AVE. EL PASO, TX., DUE TO RECALLS AND VARIOUS OTHER MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. ON AT LEAST TWO OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MIDWAY CHEVROLET OF EL PASO DUE TO AN UNEXPLAINED HIGH ENGINE NOISE AND A LIGHT ENGINE WARNING LIGHT. ON EACH OCCASION, I WAS TOLD BY THE MIDWAY REPS. THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THEY SIMPLY RESET AN ELECTRONIC COMPONENT WHICH TURNED OFF THE ENGINE LIGHT WARNING INDICATOR AND ELIMINATED THE HIGH PITCH NOISE. THE VEHICLE WORKED FINE FOR A SHORT PERIOD, THEN THE HIGH ENGINE NOISE RETURNED, AND SO DID THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT. I SIMPLY GREW TIRED OF GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEREFORE CONTINUED TO RUN THE VEHICLE WITH THE HIGH ENGINE NOISE AND THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT. TODAY, I RECEIVED NEWS FROM SAID DEALERSHIP THAT THE HIGH PITCH ENGINE NOISE AND THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT IS, AND HAS BEEN, DUE TO A COOLING FAN CLUTCH ASSEMBLY. THIS NON-STOP MECHANICAL PROBLEM NOW KEEPS ME FROM A TEXAS STATE INSPECTION STICKER. TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM, THEY TELL ME, WILL COST OVER SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPAIRED WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. THEY HAD SEVERAL OPPORTUNITIES TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM. THEY FAILED TO HONOR THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. NOW, I AM UNABLE TO, LEGALLY, DRIVE THIS VEHICLE ANYWHERE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. FROM RECENT INFORMATION GATHERED, THIS PROBLEM IS ALL TO WELL KNOWN TO CHEVY AND GMC, YET THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. I WISH TO REGISTER A COMPLAINT AGAINST CHEVY AND MIDWAY CHEVROLET OF EL PASO FOR THEIR FAILURE TO REPAIR THE COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY PROBLEMS WHEN THEY SURFACED AND WHILE UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. I HAVE A 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 4WD. THE CLUTCH FAN IS BAD. FROM WHAT THE AUTO PARTS SERVICE CENTER ADVISED ME, ALL CLUTCH FANS ON THE 2002 TRAILBLAZERS SHOULD BE RECALLED. THE VEHICLE RUNS HIGH RPM'S WHEN FIRST STARTING. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARDS THAT THE GOV. SHOULD ADDRESS WITH CHEVY. DON'T WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE LOSES A LIFE, THEN ACT ON THIS COMPLAINT. YOU WOULD THINK AFTER THE FIRESTONE TIRE INCIDENT YOU PEOPLE WOULD WORK ON THE SIDE OF THE CONSUMER, AFTER ALL, WE DO PAY FOR YOUR AGENCY TO OPERATE. WHY IS IT THE CONSUMER ALWAYS HAS TO PAY FOR BIG BUSINESS WHEN THEY ARE THE ONES WHO ARE A FAULT. WHEN BUILDING ANY PRODUCT, IF IT FAILS. THEN THE GOV. SHOULD ENFORCE A RECALL. WHETHER IT BE ONE OR 20 COMPLAINTS. THE CONSUMER HAS THE RIGHT TO BE PROTECTED WHEN PURCHASING ANY PRODUCT. WHEN A COMPLAINT IS MADE. THE YOU THE GOV. AGENCY SHOULD ACT AND MAKE A RECALL. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP OR SLOW DOWN. THE CONTACT THEN DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH MAXIMUM PRESSURE AND THE BRAKES LOCKED. THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT. THE CONTACT LET UP ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD STILL NOT STOP. IT LOCKED UP AND PULLED TO THE LEFT ONTO ITS SIDE AND ROLLED COMPLETELY OVER. THE VEHICLE LANDED ON ITS FOUR FLAT TIRES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO HIS NECK, SHOULDER, AND BACK. HE ALSO SUFFERED MEMORY LOSS. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 107,000.
ON 5/25/08 ENGINE QUIT. TOWED TO GARAGE. RAN DIAGNOSTICS,COMPRESSION TESTS # 3 CYLINDER BAD -NO COMPRESSION. GARAGE GAVE ME A COPY OF CHEVROLET BULLETIN NO. 03019 SAYS ENGINE BAD ON 01 AND 02, 4.2L ENGINES. MIKE'S GARAGE ( ASE CERTIFIED- MASTER MECHANICS, JEFF-813-988-5689) SAID TAKE TO CHEVROLET - HAD IT TOWED AUTOWAY CHEVROLET, TAMPA, FL. GAVE THEM THE BULLETIN - GOT A CALL FROM JACIN HOGELAND (SERVICE) A PIECE (THE END) OF THE SPARK PLUG BROKE OFF AND WENT INTO THE CYLINDER- ENGINE IS SHOT. NOT UNDER WARRANTY. JEFF, MIKES GARAGE SAYS THEY PULLED THE PLUGS, DID COMPRESSION CHECK AND NO PLUGS WERE BROKEN. THE PLUGS ARE THE ORIGINAL ONES FROM CHEVROLET AND ARE GUARANTEED 100,000 MILES. THE TRAILBLAZER LOOKS NEW, GARAGE KEPT, DRIVEN WEEKENDS, HAS 42,000 MILES. CHEVROLET WANTS $6,500.00 FOR NEW ENGINE, $5,000.00 FOR USED ONE. HAVE CALLED CHEVROLET, COMPLAINED, THEY SAY WELL, NOT SAME PROBLEM LISTED IN BULLETIN. IT'S THE SPARK PLUG. I SAY SPARK PLUG SUPPOSED TO LAST 100,000 MILES-FIX IT. THEY SAID THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME ON 6/4 OR 6/5. TODAY 6/3/08 RECEIVED A TELEPHONE CALL JACIN @ AUTOWAY, WANT ME TO AUTHORIZE THEM- PULL THE HEAD TO FIND OUT EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ENGINE. SAID THOUGHT YOU TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED. HE SAID , CHEVROLET IS GOING TO NEED TO KNOW BEFORE THEY TALK TO ME. I SAID I THOUGHT YOU MADE A DETERMINATION. HIS ANSWER IS THEY NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, BEFORE THEY CAN MAKE ANY SETTLEMENTS. I ASKED WHAT HAPPENS, IF THEY STILL SAY SPARK PLUG AND NO WARRANTY. HIS ANSWER WAS WOULD COST ME $1,400.00 TO HAVE HEAD PULLED. I WOULD STILL HAVE TO BUY ENGINE FOR $6500 OR $5000 USED. I SAID IF NOT COVERED I WOULD HAVE MIKE'S GARAGE DO THE WORK. HE SAID THAT I WOULD BE LIABLE FOR $1,400.00 TO PULL THE HEAD. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE. I LOOK ON THE INTERNET AND THERE COMPLAINTS ALL OVER ABOUT THE ENGINE, YET NO RECALLS. AFTER REFILLING FUEL TANK FULL OF GASOLINE AND DRIVING UNTIL ~80% FULL, I SMELLED FUEL VAPORS COMING FROM THE VEHICLE WHEN STANDING OUTSIDE. OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS ~70 F. AFTER THE NEXT TRIP THE VEHICLE MIL CAME ON. CODES WERE RELATED TO EVAP LEAK P0442. DEALER REPLACED FUEL TANK AND FILLER NECK TUBE, CRACKED. ALMOST 1 YEAR PRIOR GM ISSUED A NOTICE THAT THIS ISSUE MIGHT OCCUR AND WOULD BE COVERED AT GM'S EXPENSE. I RECALLED THAT I HAD RECEIVED A LETTER REGARDING A MIL LIGHT THAT MIGHT APPEAR. DEALER REPAIRED VEHICLE UNDER THIS LETTER / WARRANTY. VEHICLE HAD ~80K MILES. DRIVEN DAILY IN 4 SEASON AREA. *TR
I BOUGHT THE 2002 TRAILBLAZER ON FEBRUARY 2008 DROVE IT FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF TOTAL THE REST OF THE TIME IT HAS BEEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. A MECHANIC FRIEND STATED IT IS A DEFECT IN THE HOUSING ITSELF, THE "PUNKIN" (?) IT CAUSES LEAKS AND NEEDS TO HAVE FLUID CONSTANTLY ADDED. DURING ROUTINE DRIVING I NOTICED A ODOR OF GAS FROM INSIDE MY VEHICLE. UPON INSPECTION I DISCOVERED GAS LEAKING FROM ABOVE THE GAS TANK AND ONTO THE GROUND. I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL MODULE HAD ROTTED AND THEREFORE WAS LEAKING GAS ONTO THE TOP OF THE GAS TANK. THE GAS WOULD THEN COLLECT ON TOP OF THE GAS TANK AND CAUSE A STRONG ODOR OF GAS INSIDE THE VEHICLE. I HAD THE FUEL MODULE REPLACED FOR A TOTAL COST OF $810.52

I HAD VEHICLE INSPECTED BY A GM DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THE COULD DETERMINE WHERE THE PROBLEM WAS COMING FROM. THEY SUGGESTED THAT I SHOULD KEEP DRIVING THE VEHICLE. ABOUT 2 WEEKS AFTER THE INSPECTION, THE TRANSMISSION IN MY 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER FAILED WITH 70,000 MILES WHEN I WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT. VEHICLE LEFT ME AN 2 PASSENGERS STRANDED AND I HAD TO PAY TO TOW THE VEHICLE. THE SAME GM DEALERSHIP TORE DOWN THE TRANSMISSION AND DETERMINED THE CAUSE WAS A FAILED SUNGEAR IN THE TRANSMISSION. I WAS NOT ABLE TO AFFORD THE $3,200 FACTORY REBUILD THAT THE GM DEALER OFFERED TO SELL ME, WHICH GM SAID WAS ALREADY AT A DISCOUNT. ALL I COULD AFFORD A THE TIME WAS TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION WITH A USED TRANSMISSION WITH 40,000 MILES ON IT. NOW I HAVE ABOUT 8,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE SINCE THE REPLACEMENT AND THE SAME ISSUE IS HAPPENING AGAIN. I UNDERSTAND I TOOK THE CHANCE WITH THE USED TRANSMISSION. I STRUCK A VEHICLE THAT BROADSIDE WHEN HE RAN A STOP SIGN. I WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 30 TO 35 MPH WHEN I STRUCK HIS VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. IN SEPTEMBER OF 2008, SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER MALFUNCTIONED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WIPER MOTOR. IN DECEMBER OF 2008, SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER BECAUSE THE TAILGATE WAS CLOSING HARD, GRINDING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE, AND THE REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER WOULD STILL NOT WORK. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE FAILURES; HOWEVER, THE WIPER STILL MALFUNCTIONED. IN JANUARY OF 2009, THE SHATTERED REAR HATCH FAILURE OCCURRED AGAIN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NO ONE TOUCHED THE VEHICLE FOR AT LEAST THREE HOURS BEFORE THE GLASS SHATTERED. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT IT WAS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR; THEREFORE, THEY COULD NOT ASSIST. THE DEALER ALSO CITED THAT THERE WAS POOR TERMINAL TENSION IN THE LIFTGATE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD PHOTOS OF THE SHATTERED GLASS. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 77,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,563.

THE REASON FOR THIS GRIEVANCE IS SIMPLY THAT WHEN CONTACTING SERVICE DEPARTMENT WERE WE PURCHASED SAID VEHICLE, WAS TREATED AS IF WE MADE UP THE WHOLE THING AND ACCUSED OF DRIVER ERROR, CALLED LIARS, AND BASICALLY TREATED WITH TOTAL INDIFFERENCE TO A SITUATION WERE THINGS COULD HAVE BEEN A TERRIBLE LOSS OF LIFE, PLEASE ASSIST MY FAMILY AND I IN GETTING THIS SITUATION INVESTIGATED WITH A DEALER SHIP THAT HAS NO REGARD FOR THE TRUTH ONLY IN THE ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR. GAS FUMES INSIDE OF VEHICLE , FUMES AND LEAKING GAS OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE NEAR GAS TANK. TOOK TO GM DEALER TO DIAGNOSE AND THEY REPLACED RUSTED AND LEAKING FUEL PUMP MODULE AT MY COST I DID ASK FOR AND HAD RETURNED THE OLD PART WHICH WAS RUSTED . WOULD THIS NOT BE CONSIDERED A SAFETY HAZARD WITH LEAKING GAS? IT IS A BLESSING THAT THERE WAS NOT A FIRE. *TR
I STARTED TO SMELL GAS FUMES AROUND THE REAR OF MY 2002 TRAILBLAZER. I LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE AND COULD SEE A SMALL TRAIL OF GAS ON THE FUEL TANK STRAP. I CALLED GM THEY RECOMMENDED I TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER TO BE LOOKED AT. I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY ADVISING ITS THE FUEL TANK SENDING UNIT/PUMP RUSTED AND LEAK. AND THEY WANT $894.11 DOLLARS. I HAVE OWNED VEHICLE NEW IT JUST TURNED 57,000. THE VEHICLE WAS GARAGE KEPT FOR 2 OF THOSE YEARS. *TR
