TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 78 MPH, A TIRE BLEW OUT. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED AN INJURED LEFT SHOULDER AND NECK, AND A HEAD ABRASION, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
THE TOP OF MY FUEL PUMP AT THE RETURN LINE AND INTAKE LINE RUSTED OUT CAUSING GAS TO SPILL OUT ON TOP OF FUEL TANK AND SMELL VERY STRONG GAS ODERS.
SPEEDOMETER IS ERRATIC OFTEN SHOWING FALSE SPEED OR GOES TO ZERO.ALL MOVING SPEEDS HIGHWAY OR STREETS.
ERROR CODE INDICATES A PROBLEM WITH THE EVAP SYSTEM. WON'T PASS STATE EMISSION TEST. CANT DIAGNOSE FURTHER BECAUSE OF A GAS LEAK AT THE GAS TANK FILLER HOSE CONNECTION TO THE GAS TANK. NOTIFIED BY MECHANIC THAT THEY REPLACED TANKS UP TO 150,000 MILES BUT MY TRUCK IS 185,000.
THE DASHBOARD CLUSTER MALFUNCTIONS. THE FIRST TIME IT WENT OUT, THE FUEL GUAGE AND OIL PRESSURE GUAGE STOPPED WORKING AND ALL OTHER GUAGES WENT OUT ONE BY ONE SOON AFTER. WE HAD A NEW GM CLUSTER INSTALLED BY THE GM DEALERSHIP AT A COST OF $600. THIS TIME, ALL GUAGES STOPPED WORKING AND THE ALERT LIGHTS STAY ON. (I.E. SERVICE 4WD, SEAT BELT, SERVICE ENGINE, BRAKE AND ABS) OTHER GM VEHICLES WITH THIS SAME CLUSTER HAVE BEEN RECALLED BUT NOT THE 2003TRAILBLAZER.
MY HEADLIGHTS GO OFF AND ON MY AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON MY SEAT BELT LIGHT STQAYS ON MY DASH BOARD LIGHT ARE OUT
AIR BAG LIGHT ON INSTRUMENT PANEL HAS COME ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ANOTHER DRIVER IN FRONT OF HER SLAMMED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A ROLLOVER. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A DEEP LACERATION TO THE KNEE AND A TORN LIGAMENT THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TRAVELLING TO WORK ON 5/5/2016 @ 30MPH VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. LUCKILY PULLED TO SIDE ROAD. WAS UNABLE TO START NO POWER TO IGNITION CIRCUIT, LOCKED IN PARK. TOWED TO REPAIR SHOP & REPLACED FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH @ COST OF $300.00. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION!

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE FAILURE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE'S STEERING PULLED TO THE LEFT. WHEN THE CONTACT RELEASED THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE PULLED BACK TO THE RIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION WAS LEAKING FLUID AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
"TAKATA RECALL" WE JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR FROM MY HUSBAND'S DECEASED MOTHER'S ESTATE AND IT HAD A RECALL ON THE LIGHTING INSIDE AND OUTSIDE TAIL LIGHTS. THE VEHICLE HAS 83 THOUSAND MILES ON IT AND THE VEHICLE REAR LIGHTS ARE NOT WORKING WHEN I BRAKE ONLY ONE THAT IS THE THIRD LIGHT ON TOP OF CAR. GM (CHEVROLET) I LIVE ON A VERY LIMITED INCOME AND DUE TO DISABILITY AS WELL. MY INCOME IS 1330 A MONTH. HOW CAN I GET THIS FIXED? THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR DIAGNOSTICS, AS I STATED WE FIXED IT ONCE IT SEEMS TO BE THAT IT MAY GET HOT AND BLOWS FUSES AND THEN I HAVE NO IDEA I HAVE NO TAIL LIGHTS THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SOMEONE COULD REAR END ME AND KILL THEMSELVES AND OR MYSELF. PLEASE HELP ME IN UNDERSTANDING ARE THEY RESPONSIBLE TO FIX THEIR DEFECTS AS THEY DID IT ONCE WHEN IT WAS RECALLED AND WE ALSO JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR. PAID ABOUT 5 THOUSAND FOR IT. EXCELLENT CONDITION. NONE OF MY GAGES WORK AND A LOT OF MY DASH LIGHTS ARE ON. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE. MY SPEEDOMETER AND RPM GAGES WORK BUT NOTHING ELSE DOES. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING ON AND OFF FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS BUT THEY WOULD ALWAYS GO BACK ON. BUT NOW IT HAS BEEN OFF FOR A WEEK WITHOUT GOING BACK TO NORMAL. TWICE LAST WEEK THE RADIO AND THE POWER WINDOWS STOPPED WORKING AS WELL. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING PARKED ALL THE TIME AND IT DOESNT GO BACK TO NORMAL. I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SO I HAVE NO CLUE WHY THERE ISN'T A RECALL. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE MY TRAILBLAZER UNTIL THESE THINGS ARE FIXED. I WORK AT A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX THIS EITHER. GM NEEDS TO PUT OUT A RECALL TO GET THIS FIXED ASAP.
"TAKATA RECALL" WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY DOING BOUT 70MPH AND I HEAR A NOSIE ON THE ROOF AND THEN I SAW MY WHOLE 3RD BREAK LIGHT ASMBLEY BREAK OFF AND FLY INTO THE AIR AND ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN BACK OF ME THIS CAN CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT IF IT FLY'S OFF AND HIT A CAR IN BACK OF YOU AND I WAS DOING RESEARCH ONLINE AND SAW ITS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE SUV ITS A POOR DESIGN AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEBODY DIES.
TRAILBLAZER FUEL SYSTEM
CANNOT PUT GAS IN TANK BECAUSE OF BACK PRESSURE
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GADGE STEPPER MOTORS ALL ARE BAD. HAVE READ HUNDREDS OF OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS COMPLAIN OF THE SAME. ALSO THE IGNITION SWITCHES ARE VERY FAULTY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE SLID ON BLACK ICE AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CUT TO THE HEAD AND A SEVERE BACK INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 186,000.
GAGES CLUSTER ON DASHBOARD STOPPED WORKING. I KNOW 8 PEOPLE THAT HAVE THIS ISSUE ON THERE VEHICLE. NO SPEEDOMETER,TACH, BATTERY, FUEL AND OTHER GAGES WENT OUT. WHEN YOU START VEHICLE, PUT IT IN DRIVE AND DRIVE. SHUT OFF AND RESTART. NOTHING THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. HAPPENED AT 80K AND THEN STARTED WORKING NOW DOING IT AGAIN AT 149,000. TOTAL SAFETY ISSUE SINCE OTHER CHEVY MODELS HAVE THIS ISSUE AND WAS RECALLED!!!!!
FUEL TANK HAS TINY CRACK AT THE WHERE THE TANK IS WELDED TOGETHER AND GASONILNE AND OR GASOLINE VAPORS LEAK OUT CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON. GM HAS ISSUED SPECIAL COVERAGE WARRANTY FOR VEHICLES THAT HAVE UP TO150,000 MILES OR 15YRS OLD WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. VEHICLE HAS 160,000 MILES ON IT AND THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR REPAIRS THAT SHOULD ACTUALLY BE A RECALL SINCE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT IS AFFECTING MILLIONS OF VEHICLES
CODE 440, SMELL OF GAS ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS FROM THE GAS TANK AREA. REPLACED GAS CAP & PURGE VALVE. SMELL CONTINUES. NOT SURE WHAT IS FACTOR FOR THE SMELL, YET IT HAS GOTTEN STRONGER. A FEW TIMES I HAVE SMELLED THE GAS WHILE DRIVING,, THO, MOST TIMES IT IS UPON EXITING THE VEHICLE IT IS MOST NOTABLE.
FUEL LEAKAGE FROM FUEL TANK. VERY NOTICEABLE AFTER FUELING UP, AND WHEN IT'S WARM OUTSIDE. FUEL SMELL AND VISIBLE FLUID DRIPPING FROM THE FUEL TANK. VEHICLE ISN'T SAFE TO DRIVE, AND GM IS UNWILLING TO COVER THE COST FOR THE POOR QUALITY OF THE DESIGN OF THE FUEL TANKS. IT'S A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT GM AND IT'S DEALERSHIPS TRY TO PASS THE BILL FOR REPAIR ONTO THE CONSUMER.
GAS TANK IS LEAKING .I GET A LETTER FROM GENERAL MOTOR ABOUT THAT PROBLEM I TOOK THE TRUCK TO CRYSTAL CHEVROLET THE MANAGER TOLD HE WOULD NOT WORK ON MY TRUCK.
MY WIFE STARTED TO DRIVE THE CAR AND CAME IN AND SAID THAT THE GUAGES STOPPED WORKING, I WENT OUT TO SEE, TURNED THE IGNITION ON A COUPLE OF TIMES AND THEY CAME ON AND IN ABOUT 30 SECONDS THEY WENT OFF AND ARE STILL NOT WORKING. THE CAR WAS IN THE DRIVEWAY AT 2666 MADISON 248 FREDERICKTOWN MO. IT HAS THE SAME AS THE ONES THAT ARE INCLUDED IN OTHER 2003 RECALLS BUT THE TRAILBLAZER HASN'T HAD AS MANY COMPLAINTS. I WOULD LIKE TO FILE ONE.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE IN DECEMBER 2015 I RECEIVED A "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" DISPLAY. I TOOK THE SUV TO A SERVICE CENTER WHO INFORMED ME MY FUEL TANK WAS CRACKED & NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY ORDERED A NEW TANK BUT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO OBTAIN THE PART. WHILE RESEARCHING THE SITUATION, I FOUND RECORD OF AN NHTSA INVESTIGATION (ACTION # PE07014) CONDUCTED IN 2007 FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, INVOLVING THE SAME MAKE, MODEL & YEAR AS MY VEHICLE IN WHICH GM WAS SUPPOSED TO SEND LETTERS TO OWNERS & REPAIR THE FUEL TANKS FREE OF CHARGE. I NEVER RECEIVED THE NOTIFICATION AND REACHED OUT TO GM CUSTOMER SERVICE TO FIND OUT WHY, FILE A REPORT AND EXPRESSING MY GRAVE CONCERNS REGARDING THE SAFETY ISSUES OF DRIVING A VEHICLE IN THIS CONDITION. OVER THE COURSE OF APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS OF COMMUNICATION, I WAS ADVISED MY VIN WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE ACTION THEREFORE THEY WOULDN'T HAVE NOTIFIED ME, IT WAS PAST THE MILEAGE WARRANTY & THEY WON'T EXTEND IT, THE PART IS ON BACKORDER AND THE SOONEST IT MIGHT BE AVAILABLE IS MAY, THEY WON'T PROVIDE A TEMPORARY REPAIR OR LOANER VEHICLE, THERE'S NOTHING FURTHER THEY CAN DO AND THEY'RE CLOSING THE FILE ON MY COMPLAINT. THEY WERE HOWEVER, WILLING TO OFFER A POTENTIAL DISCOUNT ON A NEW VEHICLE. I ADVISED THEM I WAS NOT IN A POSITION TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE AND THAT WASN'T AN APPROPRIATE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM.
ON 12/15/15 I DROPPED OFF MY 2003 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER BASED ON A BULLETIN THAT I RECEIVED FROM CHEVY - GM SPECIAL COVERAGE PROGRAM #14423. THERE WAS A SMELL OF FUEL WHILE REFUELING. ON 12/16/15 THE DEALERSHIP NOTIFIED ME THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS INDEED DEFECTIVE AND THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD ORDER THE PART AND HOLD THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE PART CAME IN SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. LATER THAT DAY THE DEALERSHIP STATED THE PART WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF FEB.2016 AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE IN THEIR LOT. THAT WAS EXTREMELY UPSETTING NEWS SINCE NOW I WAS NOT GOING TO HAVE MY VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS WITHOUT A REPLACEMENT. I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH THE DEALERSHIP ([XXX] (SERVICE ADVISOR), [XXX] (PARTS MANAGER), [XXX] (SERVICE DIRECTOR), AND [XXX] , (PARTS DEPT. SUPERVISOR) AS WELL AS CHEVY CUSTOMER SERVICE (CASE # [XXX]). TODAY IS MARCH 4, 2016 AND THE PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE BEEN WITH OUT MY TRAILBLAZER FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS. THE DEALERSHIP AND CHEVY CUSTOMER SERVICE STILL HAVE "NO IDEA" WHEN THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE. THEY NOW TELL ME MAYBE MAY 2016. CAN YOU HELP EXPEDITE THIS CASE FOR ME? THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLES FUEL TANK FILLER NOZZLE BECAME DISCONNECTED FROM THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 174,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
EXTENDED WARRANTY FUEL TANK FILLER LEAK KNOWN ISSUE WITH CHEVROLET WHICH AFFECTS OTHER PARTS SUCH FUEL PUMP, FUEL MODULE, ETC CHEVROLET HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS ISSUE SINCE 2007 AND I JUST GOT A CALL FROM A SENIOR ADVISOR FROM CHEVY STATING THAT THE "REPLACEMENT PART" IS NOT GOING TO BE IN UNTIL APRIL.I FIND THIS UNACCEPTABLE SINCE I AM DRIVING AROUND WITH A GAS LEAK. THE SA FIRST STARTED OFF, WELL WE UNDERSTAND YOU ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PART BEING BACK ORDERED. NO I AM MAD BECAUSE IF THEY SENT OUT LETTERS TO CONSUMERS, DON'T YOU THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE THE PART IN TO FIX THE ISSUES WITH THE TRAILBLAZER? CHEVY IS DRAGGING ITS FEET TO FIX ITS OWN WARRANTY THAT IT EXTENDED TO CONSUMERS. THE LONGER I DRIVE AROUND WITH THIS LEAK, THE LONGER OTHERS PARTS SUCH THE FUEL PUMP, FUEL MODULE, ETC WILL FAIL AND CHEVY SHOULD COVER THESE PARTS ALSO. HOW DOES CHEVY EXPECT ME TO DRIVE AROUND FOR 5 MONTHS WITH A FUEL LEAK?
I HAVE REPLACED THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL TWICE IN 10 MONTHS. I BOUGHT NEW PARTS FOR IT NOT USED THAT WERE REDONE TO GET RID OF THE PROBLEMS IT HAD NOW IT HAS GONE AGAIN. THIS TIME I HAVEN'T EVEN USED THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE YET SINCE THE LAST REPAIR. I HAVE RESEARCH IT AND I NOTICED A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.
ALL OF MY GAUGES INCLUDING FUEL GAUGE, TACHOMETER, AND SPEEDOMETER HAVE STOPPED WORKING. THEY WILL WORK SOME DAYS AND THEN OTHERS THE GAUGES ARE ALL OUT OF WHACK. IT SEEMS TO OCCUR ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS COLD OUT. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED THAT THIS IS HAPPENING. I REALIZE THAT MY VEHICLE IS OLDER, BUT I DO APPRECIATE WORKING GAUGES!!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 360. THE CONTACT OBSERVED A PUDDLE OF FUEL UNDER THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 192,385.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A CONSTANT STRONG ODOR OF FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND THE FUEL TANK WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,476.
FUEL TANK INLET CHECK VALVE FRACTURE - CHEVY TRAILBLAZER (2003) I RECEIVED THE ATTACHED NOTICE FOR SPECIAL COVERAGE IN NOVEMBER 2015 FOR MY TRAILBLAZER'S FUEL TANK INLET CHECK VALVE THAT FRACTURES AND ALLOWS FOR FUEL TO SEEP OUT OF THE TANK. SOUNDS PRETTY DANGEROUS TO ME. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND SURE ENOUGH, MY VEHICLE WAS AFFECTED AND THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REPLACEMENT FUEL TANK PART WAS ORDERED BY THE DEALERSHIP IN NOVEMBER 2015 AND THE REPLACEMENT PART HAS STILL NOT COME IN, 6 MONTHS LATER. I'VE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP, AS WELL AS GM/CHEVY CORPORATE AT LEAST 20 TIMES OVER THE PAST 6 MONTHS AND THE UPDATE I RECEIVED TODAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP WAS THE PART 'MAY COME IN SEPTEMBER 2016 OR IT MAY NOT'. I CAN'T DRIVE THE VEHICLE DURING THIS TIME DUE TO THIS DANGEROUS GAS LEAK REPAIR. THIS IS WILDLY UNFAIR. I WAS PATIENT, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS - A REPLACEMENT PART SHOULD NOT TAKE A YEAR TO RECEIVE. I'M GUESSING THE PART WILL NOT ARRIVE IN SEPTEMBER EITHER, AS I WAS TOLD IN JANUARY 2016 THAT THE PART WOULD ARRIVE IN FEBRUARY 2016 AND OBVIOUSLY THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN (TODAY IS APRIL 15, 2016). FINALLY, THE SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM GM/CHEVY CORPORATE WAS APPALLING. DONNA SEYMOUR - A SENIOR ADVISOR AT GM/CHEVY (1-866-790-5600 EXT. 5911534) PROVIDED THE WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD, ANYWHERE. SHE REPEATED WOULD SAY SHE WOULD CALL ME BACK AND FAIL TO DO SO, AND DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO TRY TO RESOLVE THE SITUATION. SHE WAS AWFUL AND GM/CHEVY SHOULD BE ASHAMED THAT THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS IN THIS MANNER.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.

THE PASSENGER WAS ALSO INJURED AND TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL, BUT WAS RELEASED THE SAME DAY. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,000.

MY 2003 TRAILBLAZER WAS SITTING STILL AND WHEN I STARTED UP THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON.THIS HAPPENED ON 10/15/2015 @ 4:00 PM.
ON AUGUST 26, 2015 WE PURCHASED A 2003 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER FROM WALI'S AUTO SALES IN ENOLA, PA. IT HAD 93,907 MILES ON IT AND APPEARED TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH A CLEAN CAR FAX. WE TRADED IN OUR 1996 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN AND RECEIVED $1700 IN TRADE IN VALUE PURCHASING THE TRAILBLAZER FOR $5722.70 INCLUDING TAX AND TRANSFER FEES. BRAKES AND BALL JOINTS HAD BEEN REPLACED PRIOR TO OUR PURCHASE ALONG WITH A TRANSMISSION LINE. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR AN ALIGNMENT AS SOON AS WE PURCHASED IT. WE DROVE THE VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY 200 MILES AND THEN ON SEPTEMBER 17TH LEFT HOME WITH INTENTIONS OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE TO STOWE VERMONT. AT 11:30 AM ON THE MORNING OF SEPTEMBER 17TH (APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS INTO OUR TRIP) THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND BRAKES CLOSE TO SCRANTON, PA. THE ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE AND WITHIN 7 MINUTES THE VEHICLE BURNED UP. THE VIN NUMBER WAS NOT READABLE. THE SCRANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED ALONG WITH PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE AND THE FORTY FORT POLICE. WE HAVE A COPY OF THE FIRE REPORT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY A LOCAL TOW COMPANY. MY WIFE AND I ESCAPED INJURY. WE HAD LIABILITY INSURANCE THROUGH STATE FARM WHICH COVERED TOWING AND FIRE COMPANY EXPENSES. WALI'S GAVE US A 30 DAY WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE AND HAS ACKNOWLEDGED SINCE THE INCIDENT THAT THERE IS A WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE BUT IS NOT FORTHCOMING IN ALLOWING US TO SUBMIT A CLAIM TO THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,945.
MY WIFE AND FIVE CHILDREN TRAVELING ON I-94 E AND EXITED THE FREEWAY AT THE 12 MILE EXIT IN ROSEVILLE MI. MY WIFE ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE AS THEY APPROACHED THE RED TRAFFIC SIGNAL ON THE 12 MILE EXIT RAMP AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT WARNING. SHE WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND PROCEEDED THROUGH THE RED LIGHT NARROWLY MISSING A HIGH SPEED COLLISION WITH BOTH EAST AND WEST BOUND TRAFFIC ON 12-MILE ROAD. SHE CONTINUED THROUGH THE INTERSECTION ON THE RED LIGHT AND WAS ABLE TO STOP THE SUV SEVERAL HUNDRED YARDS DOWN THE SERVICE DRIVE. SHE SLOWLY DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME AND I CHECKED THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO BRAKE WARNING OR ANY OTHER INDICATORS ON THE DASH. I PUMPED THE BRAKES SEVERAL TIMES AND COULDN'T EVEN HOLD THE VEHICLE WHILE IDLING IN THE DRIVE POSITION. I ALSO NOTICED A LARGE PUDDLE OF FLUID UNDER THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. I'M GOING TO LIMP THE VEHICLE TO MORAN CHEVROLET IN CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI AND LEAVE IT WITH THOSE THAT SOLD ME THIS DEATHTRAP. ANOTHER AND PERHAPS EVEN GREATER SAFETY CONCERN I HAVE IS THE SUV'S TENDENCY TO MISBEHAVE WHILE IN AWD MODE. THE VEHICLE SOMETIMES GOES IN REVERSE WHILE DRIVE IS SELECTED AND VICE VERSA. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE WILL SOMETIMES PUT ITSELF IN NEUTRAL WHILE ENGAGED IN DRIVE MODE OR WHILE STOPPED AT TRAFFIC SIGNALS. OH AND LAST WEEK I REPLACED THE WINDSHIELD WIPER ASSEMBLY AFTER IT FAILED AND FOUND NO EVIDENCE THAT GM HAD COMPLETED THE RELATED RECALL WORK THAT SIGNED OFF AS BEING COMPLETE FOR THE WINDSHIELD MOTOR AND LINKAGE ASSEMBLY. I SEE I'M NOT ALONE IN HAVING SUFFERED CATASTROPHIC SAFETY RELATED FAILURES WITH THIS PARTICULAR SUV. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE AND FORCE GM TO RECALL TO FIX THIS CORROSION ISSUE WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM. I ALMOST LOST MY FAMILY LAST EVENING AND WILL ASSUME IT WOULD HAVE MADE NATIONAL NEWS HAD THEY DIED IN AN ACCIDENT.

MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE SUV AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHEN THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS CEASED TO FUNCTION DURING A HEAVY THUNDERSTORM. SHE HAD TO PULL OVER BECAUSE HER VISIBILITY WAS OBSTRUCTED TO THE POINT OF NOT BEING ABLE TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE SAFELY.

I WENT TO PICK UP MY GRANDSON WHO LIVES APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE AWAY, DROVE BACK HOME MAKING IT 2 MILES. UPON PARKING IN THE DRIVEWAY WE BOTH SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING AND NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE IGNITION WAS SWITCHED OFF. UPON OPENING THE HOOD I DISCOVERED THE FUSE BOX SMOLDERING AND MELTING AWAY, SO I QUICKLY USED A WRENCH TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TERMINALS. BEFORE DOING SO I NOTICED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS WERE STILL ON BUT GROWING DIMMER BY THE MINUTE. THE VEHICLE IS NOT IN DRIVABLE CONDITION.

THE RPM GAUGE AND SPEEDOMETER HAVE QUIT WORKING ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE BLOWER MOTOR SWITCH HAS GONE BAD AND THE AC BLOWER WILL NOT WORK.
FIRST OIL PRESSURE GAUGE WENT AND NOW MY SPEEDOMETER IS ALSO GONE STUCK AT 50 MPH. CALLED CHEVY CAN'T GET STRAIGHT ANSWER FROM THEM AND ASK WHAT OTHER VEHICLES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM WITH GAUGE CLUSTER ADVISED CAN'T DISCLOSED ANY INFORMATION.
