DT: THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO HEAR WIND NOISE EVEN WITH THE WINDOWS UP. THE CONSUMER DISCOVERED THE RUBBER SEALS WERE LOOSE. THE DEALER TOLD THE CONSUMER IT WAS NORMAL FOR THIS CAR. SHOWED THE MANUFACTURER THE PROBLEM OF THE SEALS COMING LOOSE AND THEY SAID IT WAS AN ENGINEERING PROBLEM. *AK
WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE DRIVER'S SEAT SUDDENLY LOWERED TO THE RIGHT WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN. THE CONSUMER BROKE ONE OF HIS RIGHT RIBS IN THE PROCESS OF THE SEAT COLLAPSING. THE STEERING WHEEL DID NOT RETURN TO THE NORMAL POSITION AFTER MAKING THE TURN. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE HAD NOT BEEN DETERMINED. *AK *SC
THE BRAKES WERE MAKING A LOUD SCREECHING NOISE. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE NEAREST CHEVY DEALERSHIP. THE TRUCK ONLY HAD ABOUT 15,000 MILES ON IT. UPON INSPECTION, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOUND THAT ALL FOUR BRAKE ROTORS WERE COMPLETELY RUSTED AND PITTED. THIS VEHICLE IS HOUSED IN A GARAGE WHEN NOT IN USE, SO RUSTING SHOULD NOT OCCUR EASILY. ALL FOUR ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS WERE REPLACED. THIS IS JUST ONE OF 21 PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD WITH THIS VEHICLE- NOT TO MENTION THE SEVERE BACK PAIN THE DRIVER'S SEAT IS CAUSING ME.*AK
ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS THE SEAT BELT ON MY 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT. HAS MALFUNCTIONED, I.E. IT DOES NOT COME OUT, AND THEREFORE WILL FORCE ME TO DRIVE WITHOUT A SEAT BELT. *NM I HAVE VISITED THE DEALERSHIP ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS TO HAVE THEM CORRECT THE PROBLEM, EVERYTIME I TRAVEL TO THE DEALERSHIP SEEMS TO BE THE TIME THAT IT STARTS TO WORK AGAIN. GM'S POLICY IS THAT "IF THEY DO NOT SEE THE PROBLEM WHEN IT OCCURS, THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM" I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN, BEING UNABLE TO BUCKLE MY SEATBELT ON OCCASION, AND NOT TO MENTION ILLEGAL TO DRIVE WITHOUT A SEATBELT IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA, IN TALKING WITH SEVERAL OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS, THEY HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME, I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS, AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO?
THE PROBLEM IS THAT MY 2004 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER SPITS UP FUEL BACK OUT OF THE FUEL TANK AFTER FILLING UP THE TANK. I AM NOT TRYING TO TOP OFF. EVERYTIME I FILL UP, FUEL SPITS BACK OUT FROM THE TANK AFTER I REMOVE THE FUEL PUMP. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE DEALER TWICE NOW, THEY ARE ON THEIR THIRD ATTEMPT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. IT HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE I TOOK MY CAR IN TO THE DEALER. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS THE GAS STATION I WAS USING. SO I TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT PUMPS IN DIFFERENT CITIES AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. THAT'S WHEN I DECIDED TO TAKE THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE.*AK
THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED A BUCKING PROBLEM WHEN USING THE CRUISE CONTROL OPTION. *BF THE FUEL SUPPLY SEEMED TO BE INTERMITTENT. CHEVROLET ADVISED THE CONSUMER THAT THIS WAS THE NORMAL CONDITION. *SC *JB
WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK LATE AT NIGHT ON SIX DIFFERENT NIGHTS ,DOING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH THE VEHICAL JUST SHUT DOWN, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND REDUCED ENGINE SPEED LIGHTS CAME ON(ACTUALY THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING WITH NO EXCELERATION) PULLED TO SIDE OF ROAD ,TURNED VEHICAL OFF AND RESTARTED , CHECK ENGINE SOON LIGHT REMAINED ON TILL NEXT DAY WHEN IT SHUT OFF, GMC DEALER SAID NO WAY TO CHECK IF INTERMITTENT PROBLEM,IF LIGHT CAME ON DURING THE DAY TO BRING IT IN RIGHT AWAY!*AK
I WAS AT A STOP SIGN TURNING RIGHT. THE TRAIL BLAZER WAS IN A4WD. I TOOK OFF RATHER QUICKLY AND THE "SERVICE 4WD" LIGHT CAME ON. THE LIGHT STAYED ON UNTIL I GOT HOME (A 20 MIN DRIVE). ONCE THE TRAILBLAZER WAS TURNED OFF, THE LIGHT DID NOT COME BACK ON. I TOOK THE TRAILBLAZER TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED THEY DID NOT FIND A CODE.THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED THAT THE LIGHT MUST NOT HAVE BEEN ON LONG ENOUGH FOR IT TO REGISTER ANYTHING WRONG OR IT'S POSSIBLE THAT IT MIGHT REGISTER LATER. THE RECEIPT STATES: TRANSMISSION WORK - JOB #1 - SERVICE 4X4 LITE ON. CHECK FOR CODES. CHECK OVER UPDATES. REPROGRAM PCM WITH LATEST UPDATES. CONSUMER WAS DRIVING 60 MPH AND LOST CONTROL, HITTING A UTILITY POLE. UPON IMPACT, THE AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. *AK
THE CAR DRIVES FINE BUT A FEW WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE, THE PASSENGER MIRROR STARTED MOVING. I HAVE A CAR WHERE WHEN YOU OPEN THE CAR WITH YOUR DESIGNATED KEY, THE MIRRORS SET TO YOUR PREFERENCES. I KEPT RESETTING THE MIRROR AND A FEW DAYS LATER THEY WOULD NOT HOLD THE SET AGAIN. NOW EVERY TIME I SHUT OFF THE CAR AND GET BACK IN THE MIRRORS HAVE TO BE RESET. THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN I FORGET TO RESET THE MIRROR AND START DRIVING. I AM SO AFRAID I AM GOING TO HIT SOMEONE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE LANES. I HAVE TO TRY TO RESET THE MIRROR WHILE DRIVING AND THIS TAKES MY ATTENTION AWAY FROM THE ROAD. I HAVE HAD THE CAR IN THE SHOP THREE TIMES IN KENTUCKY. AT FIRST THEY KEPT TELLING ME THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM BECAUSE IT DIDN'T ACT UP FOR THEM BECAUSE IT WOULD HOLD FOR THE TIME THEY HAD THE CAR. FINALLY THEY DID ANOTHER TEST AND IT SHOWED I HAD A FAULTY PART IN THE DOOR THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE MIRROR. THEY REPLACED THAT AND IT HELD FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND A HALF AND THEN STARTED AGAIN. I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING TO SOUTH CAROLINA SO I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP THERE. THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG AND CHARGED ME FOR THE VISIT EVEN THOUGH THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM. I CALLED GM AND TALKED BY E-MAIL TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HAVE RECEIVED NO HELP AT ALL. THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL BACK (THEY CALLED ONCE) BUT I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM. *JB
I AM IN THE PROCESS OF HAVING TO REPLACE THE HEAD UNIT FOR MY STEREO DUE TO MALFUNCTIONS, MY DRIVER SIDE VIEW MIRROR DUE TO CONSTANT SHAKING, A SEAL IN THE WINDOW THAT WAS COMING OUT, DRIVER SIDE DOOR PANEL DUE TO THE PLASTIC BOWING UP. OCCASIONALLY THE REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER DOES NOT WORK, AS WELL AS THE DRIVER'S SEATBELT FAILS TO RELEASE ALLOWING ME TO PUT MY SEATBELT ON. EXCESS WIND NOISE ON THE DRIVERSIDE POSSIBLY DUE TO THE WINDSHIELD NOT BEING SEALED PROPERLY.*AK
HAD A SIDE INPACT WITH MY CHEV SUV TRAILBLAZER 2004 SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *JB
OCCASIONALLY, THERE WAS A BURNING SMELL INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAD CAUSED THE RADIO, FUSES AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM TO FAIL AND SHUT DOWN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SIX TIMES, BUT THE CAUSE WAS STILL UNDETERMINED. *JB
I WAS GOING BETWEEN 25 AND 35 MPH I SWRIVED TO AVOID A VEHICLE BACKING UP THAT HAD MISSED A TURN. I TRIED TO STREER BACK AND LOST CONTROL HITTING A TELEPHONE POLE HEAD ON. AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY NEITHER DID ONSTAR. TO THIS POINT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO REPAIR THE FAILURE AS FOR MY DAD'S TRAILBLAZER THATS A WORK IN PROGRESS . *AK
2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER (FIANCE'S), FACTORY EQUIPPED WITH CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC TIRES. AT APPROXIMATELY 12,000 MILES, WE NOTICED A TREAD SEPARATION ON RIGHT REAR TIRE. (TWO DIFFERENT SPOTS ON TIRE). IT IS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THE TREAD IS PEELING BACK ON REST OF TIRE ALSO. AS OF THIS TIME, THE DEALER HAS REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. ORE RECENTLY, WE FOUND OUT THAT CONTINENTAL HAS A 12-15 WEEK BACKORDER, LEADING ME TO BELIEVE THAT THEY HAVE HALTED PRODUCTION DUE TO A KNOWN PROBLEM. ****ACTUAL TIRE IZE:245/65/SR17**** SITE DID NOT GIVE THAT OPTION. *AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE LOW BEAMS WERE NOT WORKING, WHICH CAUSED HIM TO ACTIVATE THE HIGH BEAMS. SINCE THAT TIME, THE LOW BEAMS HAVE WORKED INTERMITTENTLY. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE IN THEIR POSSESSION SO IT COULD BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT LIABLE FOR THE REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED OR DIAGNOSED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 82,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,700.
MY 2004 CHEVROLET, TRAILBLAZER HAS NO TRACTION. I WILL NOT EVEN GO THROUGH WET GRASS.*AK
WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH ABS LIGHT AND THE BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONSUMER'S DAUGHTER HOUSE. *AK *SC
AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION, STRIKING A BARRIER HEAD ON. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.*AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER, FUEL LEVEL GAUGE, ODOMETER AND OTHER INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER AND ADVISED THAT THE ELECTRICAL MODULE FAILED AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
DRIVER SEAT DOES NOT ALIGN PROPERLY WITH STEERING WHEEL. *BF THE SEAT BELT COULD CUT INTO THE DRIVER'S NECK. *SC *JB
PURCHASED NEW TRAILBLAZER IN MAY 04. WHEN VEHICLE HAD APPROXIMATELY 3,000 MILES ON IT, I STARTED GETTING A RATTLE OR LOUD BUZZ WHEN ACCELERATING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 PER HOURS JUST BEFORE THE VEHICLE SHIFTS. OCCASIONALLY, THE SHIFT IF JERKY. THE VEHICLE HAS TO BE WARM AND THE RATTLE OR BUZZ FIRST MANIFESTED ITSELF AFTER I TURNED RIGHT AND ACCELERATED FROM A STOP. WHEN WARM, THIS SOUND IS REPEATED ALMOST EVERY TIME I TURN RIGHT AND ACCELERATE. WHEN WARM IS ALSO OCCURS WHEN I JUST ACCELERATE FROM A FULL STOP. OCCASIONALLY, IT WILL ALSO OCCUR AFTER A TIGHT LEFT TURN. I REPORTED IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THE COMPUTER DID NOT SHOW ANYTHING WRONG. ON THE SECOND TRIP TO THE DEALER I REPORTED IT AGAIN. STILL NO FIX. THE NOISE IS VERY ANNOYING, BUT I CANNOT TELL THAT IT IS DOING DAMAGE. I CERTAINLY WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE IF IT MADE THIS NOISE ON THE ROAD TEST. I AM ESTIMATING THE RATTLE OR BUZZ SOUND HAS OCCURRED AT LEAST 75 TIME TO DATE. *NM
THIS COMPLAINT WAS SENT VIA E-MAIL. " I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN AT A VERY BUSY INTERSECTION, AWAITING ONCOMING TRAFFIC TO CLEAR, I ACCELERATED TO GO THROUGH TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING BUT I HAD NO ACCELERATION. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR HAD ENOUGH ROLLING POWER TO COAST THROUGH THE TURN AND GET TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. I SHUT OFF THE IGNITION AND WAITED A FEW SECONDS AND RESTARTED THE CAR. THE CAR STARTED RUNNING OKAY , BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON. WE STOPPED AT A NEARBY GMC DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE CAR CHECKED. BY THE TIME WE GOT THERE THE LIGHT HAD GONE OFF. THE SERVICE MAN SAID IT WAS OKAY TO DRIVE THE CAR BACK HOME , 170 MILES. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP. THE ANALYSIS FROM THE ON BOARD COMPUTER INDICATED A MALFUNCTION WITH THE ACCELERATOR THROTTLE COMPONENT. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS 2 MONTHS OLD. IT HAS NOT EVEN HAD SO MUCH AS AN OIL CHANGE OR A FLAT TIRE. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE TIE ROD BROKE AND FORCED ME INTO A TREE. I WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 5-10 MILES PER HOUR. I WAS INJURED. GM IS SAYING THAT THE TIE ROD BROKE WHEN I HIT THE TREE, HOWEVER THE STATE TROOPER AT THE SCENE DOCUMENTED THAT THE TIE ROD DEFINATELY BROKE BEFORE HAND AND CAUSED THE ACCIDENT. THERE ARE SCRAPE MARKS IN THE ROADWAY SHOWING THE TIRE DRAGGING ME TO THE TREE. TO DATE GM WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE A PROBLEM. IF I HAD BEEN GOING FASTER I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. *AK
THE TIE ROD BROKE PULLING THE VEHICLE INTO A TREE CAUSING INJURY AND DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. WHEEL DAMAGE WINDSHIELD BROKEN, SIDE BODY DAMAGE AND BUMPER DAMAGE. *JB
WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT GEARS THE GEAR SHIFT BOX LOCKED. AS A RESULT, VEHICLE ROLLED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. CRASHING INTO A MAIL BOX. *AK
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER LIGHT CAME ON THE FIRST TIME AND THE TRUCK HAD NO ACCELERATION. THERE WAS A CODE RECORDED WHEN SERVICE WAS PERFORMED AND PCM WAS REPROGRAMMED. THE NEXT 3 TIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE TRUCK WOULD ONLY ACCELERATE IF THE RPM'S REVED UP TO 2, THEN THE TRUCK WOULD MOVE VERY SLOWLY. THE PROBLEM THEY FOUND THIS TIME WAS A FAULTY INGITION SWITCH (2 TIMES) A PROGRAM UPGRADE OF THE MOTHERBOARD OF THE TRUCK, AND THE TORK CONVERTER CLUTCH MODULE. WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES STOPPED WORKING DURING A SNOW/RAIN STORM.*AK
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP DRIVE TRAIN HESITATES AND ENGINE COMES TO A NEAR STALL, AND THEN ACCELERATES. THIS DOES NOT OCCUR ON EVERY START, RANDOMLY. TOOK VEHICLE INTO DEALER WHO STATED THAT IT WAS NORMAL FOR THE TYPE OF DRIVE TRAIN . THEN THE DEALER REPROGRAMMED THE VEHICLE. AFTER ONE DAY OF DRIVING THE PROBLEM HAS BEGUN AGAIN. THIS HESITATION IS VERY DANGEROUS CROSSING TRAFFIC AND IN INTERSECTIONS.*AK
MAJOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS INSIDE THE VEHICLE. I HAVE OWNED IT LESS THAN A YEAR.THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP TWICE IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS. EXITING THE FREEWAY THE I HAD A COMPLETE POWER FAILURE. THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY STOPPED AND LOCKED UP AND THERE WAS A SEMI TRUCK BEHIND ME! MY VEHICLE WAS MOVING AND IN "DRIVE" WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I HAD TWO OF MY TODDLERS IN THE CAR WITH ME! THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN INTO A LOCAL DEALER AND UNFORTUNATELY THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. APPARENTLY, WHEN THE VEHICLE IS RESTARTED IT ERASES THE CODES IN THE ENGINE AS TO WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM. WELL, IT HAPPENED TO ME AGAIN THIS EVENING. SAME PROBLEM. THIS WILL BE MY 5TH TIME OF BRINGING THIS VEHICLE IN FOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS IN LESS THAN A YEAR. I ONLY HAVE 9400 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE WITH MY 5 CHILDREN AS PASSENGERS. IS THERE A WAY GM CAN GET ME A BETTER RUNNING VEHICLE? I PAID A LOT FOR THIS VEHICLE AND AM VERY UNSATISFIED WITH IT'S PERFORMACE. THERE ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT. THE CONNELL CHEVROLET SERVICE HERE IN KILLEEN HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL. I FEEL SORRY FOR THEM BECAUSE THEY DID NOT SELL ME THIS VEHICLE BUT THEY ARE THE ONES NICE ENOUGH TO TRY AND FIX THE MULTIPLE PROBLEMS.*AK
I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER PROBLEM THE SPEEDOMETER IS MEASURING INCORRECT SPEED OR NOT WORKING AT ALL. I CAN BE PARKED AND IT READS 60 MPH I AM DRIVING IT READS 120 MPH. IN SPEAKING WITH SEVERAL GM OWNERS THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH QUITE A FEW GM VEHICLES AND IS VERY DANGEROUS. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. IT IS VERY SCARY NOT TO KNOW WHAT SPEED YOU ARE DRIVING AT. IN SPEAKING TO SEVERAL OWNERS AND LOOKING AT WEB SITES OF COMPLAINTS THIS IS A PROBLEM AND HAS BEEN ONE FOR A LONG TIME. I DO NOT BLAME MY DEALER I BLAME CHEVROLET OR GM WHOEVER MADE THE CAR THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SPEEDOMETER WITH OTHER MAKES FROM GM, ITS NOT THE DEALERS FAULT FOR THIS PROBLEM. *NM
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER STEPPED ON THE BRAKES AND DIRECTIONAL SIGNAL BECAME DISENGAGED. TALSO, BRAKE LIGHT AND THE TAIL LIGHT BECAME INOPERABLE.*AK
CONSUMER HAD B.F.GOODRICH TIRES ON THE VEHICLE. THE TIRES HAD 3,000 MILES ON THEM, AND ALL FOUR TIRES HAVE FEATHERED IN AND ON OUTSIDE. THIS CAUSED THE FRONT END TO BECOME MISALIGNED. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR SERVICE, AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS NORMAL. MODEL: OPEN TRAIL/T/A. RIGHT FRONT 36357, E27754K, P1306ALO, P245/70R16. LEFT FRONT 37380, E27754K P1306ALO, P245/70R16, LEFT REAR 37380 E27754K, P1306ALO P245/70R16, RIGHT REAR 36355E 27754K, P1306ALO P245/70R16. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS AND INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD DIM INTERMITTENTLY. AT TIMES, THE HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM THAT HE CAN HARDLY SEE THE ROAD. THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE, HOWEVER, THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE A REMEDY. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 29,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. UPDATED 02-01-08. *KB
I HAVE HAD MY VEHICLE FOR LESS THAN A MONTH AND FILLED IT WITH GASOLINE 6 TIMES IN TWO CITIES AT DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS. I NEVER HAVE TOPPED OFF THE TANK, BUT WHEN THE FUEL PUMP HANDLE CLICKS OFF, THE GASOLINE POURS OUT FROM THE TANK UNDER MY VEHICLE. IT NEVER MATTERS HOW MUCH FUEL I PUT IN THE VEHICLE IT ALWAYS "OVER FLOWS."
WHILE DRIVING 72 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DRIVER TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO DO. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FIVE TIMES FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH CONSUMER'S VEHICLE COLLIDED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A GARAGE. *AK THE CONSUMER SUSTAINED A HAIR LINE FRACTURE IN THE CHEST AREA. *NM
WHEN GETTING INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE, THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS PLACED TOWARDS THE LEFT OF THE VEHICLE AND NOT IN THE CENTER OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP, HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT CONTACTED THE CONSUMER. *AK THE CONSUMER SUGGESTED THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE IN THE LEATHER VERSUS FABRIC. THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY UNTIL PART FAILURE. TRANSMISSION PRESSURE COOLING LINE CONNECTOR NOT IN PLACE PROPERLY,CAUSED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID TO SPRAY ON HOT EXHUAST MANIFOLD, STARTING A MAJOR ENGINE FIRE.THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY GENERAL MOTORS ADJUSTER, AND CONSIDERED A TOTAL LOSS.NO REPAIRS WERE ATTEMPTED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH DRIVER SWERVED TO LEFT TO AVOID HITTING A MOTORIST. WHEN THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO STRAIGHTEN BACK THE STEERING WHEEL BY TURNING IT TO THE RIGHT IT OVERCORRECTED SEVERELY. THIS RESULTED IN THE DRIVER LOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHING INTO A TREE. UPONIMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER DIED, AND FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED A BROKEN NECK, SEVERE LACERATION TO THEIR SCULL, AND BRUISES. THE PASSENGER IN THE REAR SUSTAINED A BROKEN ANGLE , A DISLOCATED HIP, AND TWO BROKEN RIBS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONSUMER RESTARTED VEHICLE,AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER INFORMED THE MECHANIC THAT THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED MORE THAN ONCE. *AK THERE WAS NO WARNING. SC
MY COMPLAINT IS REGARDING A POTENTIAL INCIDENT. I OWN A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. I BOUGHT THIS NEW IN 2004. WITHIN 3 MONTHS, I SMELLED GAS FROM INSIDE THE TRUCK. THEN NOTICED WHEN I FILL THE TANK, IT LEAKS OUT OF THE TOP. I BROUGHT THIS TO GM ATTENTION AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALL AND THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE 100%. COULD COST UP TO 1000. CAN YOU PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE ISSUE AND DETERMINE IF THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE LIKE ME? I HAVE A 2004 TRAIL BLAZER EXT. AT ABOUT 2200 MILES THE CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING, AND WHEN I GOT AN APPOINTMENT TO TAKE IT IN, THEY TOLD ME, THAT IN FACT IT WASN'T AN ISSUE WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL, THAT THERE HAD BEEN A SHORT IN THE TORQUE CONTROL CONVERTER SOLONOID WHICH WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE. THEY HAD A PART OVERNIGHTED TO ALDERMAN'S CHEVROLET, WHO FIXED IT QUICKLY AND MADE SURE I HAD A RENTAL WHILE IT WAS IN BEING FIXED, BUT A WEEK AND A HALF LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. I AM TAKING IT IN TOMORROW, BUT I AM AFRAID THERE IS GOING TO BE PERMANANT DAMAGE TO MY ENGINE BECAUSE THIS THING WHEN BROKEN AFFECTS THE SHIFTING OF THE ENGINE. I AM WONDERING IF I JUST GOT A LEMON OR IF THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES. IT ONLY HAS 3500 MILES ON IT, IT SHOULDN'T BE IN THE SHOP TWICE ALREADY FOR REPAIRS. *AK
ON THE 1-2 AND 2-3 SHIFTS THERE IS A RATTLING SOUND (OR LIGHT KNOCKING) SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. IT SOUNDS LIKE NOISY LIFTERS. IT OCCURS MOST OF THE TIME, BUT NOT ALL OF THE TIME.*AK
DT: THE VEHICLE IS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS. WHILE SHUTTING THE DOOR OR TOUCHING THE VEHICLE THE CONSUMER WOULD BE SHOCK SO BADLY THAT SHE SEES COLORS. SHE TRIED TOUCHING THE PLASTIC HANDLE TO THE DOOR BUT IF HER FINGER COMES WITHIN AN INCH OF THE METAL IT WOULD STILL SHOCK HER, EVEN THROUGH CLOTHES. DEALERSHIP WAS GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM SOMETIME THIS WEEK. THEY HAVE TRIED PRODUCTS FOR HUMIDITY AND USED STATIC GUARD BUT NONE OF THIS STUFF SOLVED THE PROBLEM. MECHANIC SAID THEY HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH PEOPLE GETTING SHOCKED. AFTER THE VEHICLE STARTED SHOCKING HER THE COMPUTER CHIP WAS REPLACED, AND SINCE THEY REPLACED COMPUTER IT SHOCKED EVEN HARDER. *AK *NM

ENGINE STALLED IN TRAFFIC AND IDLES ROUGH ON STARTUP. DEALER REPROGRAMMED IDLE CONTROL MODULE. ENGINE SURGES AND SHAKES UNDER A LOAD FROM POWER STEERING OR ALTERANTOR. DEALER CLEANED THROTTLE BODY (ONLY 4800 MILES) AND FOUND LARGE LEAK AT EVAP VAPOR PIPE. CONTINUED TO HAVE PROBLEM. DEALERSHIP CONTACT GM FOR HELP. GM REPLIED THAT "4.2 LITER MOTORS HAVE AN INHERENT VIBRATION AT THAT SPEED." GM TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ALSO STATED "ENGINE SURGE UNDER IS NORMAL UNDER LOAD BY DESIGN." CAR IS TICKING TIME BOMB FOR ANOTHER STALL IN TRAFFIC AND DAILY ENDANGERS MY FAMILY. *LA
WHILE CRUISE CONTROL IS ENGAGED, ENGINE STUTTERS AFTER CRESTING A HILL, MORE OR LESS COASTING DOWN THE OTHER SIDE. *TR
EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE GAS TANK (TRIED 10 DIFFERENT PUMPS AT 10 DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS) THE AUTOSHUT OFF ON THE GAS PUMP DOES NOT WORK QUICK ENOUGH. GAS OVERFLOWS OUT OF THE TANK AND SPILLS ON THE GROUND. SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE DESIGN OF THE TRAILBLAZERS FILL UP TUBE? I AM NOT TRYING TO "TOP OFF" THE TANK EITHER.
I'VE TAKEN MY TRAILBLAZER TO THE SHOP TO CHECK OUT THE POWER STEERING UNIT. MY POWER STEERING MAKES A GRINDING SOUND WHEN CUTTING YOUR WHEELS TO PARK ARE IF YOU ARE PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT. I'VE TALK TO SHOP MANAGER AND THEY CHECK IT OUT AND STATED THAT THEY DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY POWER STEERING ,AND AS OF TODAY MY POWER STEERING UNIT CONTINUE TO MAKE THAT GRINDING SOUND. *NM
