THE DRIVER SEAT DIDN'T ALIGN WITH THE STEERING WHEEL. *PH THE CONSUMER BELIEVED IT WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. *JB
SPARK KNOCK NOISE ON PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR ,NOT IN THE ENGINE ALONG SIDE OF CAR, BEEN TO DEALER 5 TIMES THEY TOLD ME ITS NORMAL NOISE AND TO GET OVER IT !! POOR GAS MIALAGE DEALER TOLD ME THAT ITS NORMAL, THE STICKER SAYS 15 MPG I AM GETTING 10 TO 11, AGAIN GET OVER IT... CAN YOU HELP PLEASE !!!*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH, THE CONSUMER PULLED TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID HITTING ANOTHER MOTORIST. THE CONSUMER OVER CORRECTED THE VEHICLE, WHICH RESULTED IN THE CONSUMER LOSING CONTROL OF THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK WENT THROUGH 2 DITCHES AND A SERVICE ROAD BEFORE STOPPING. THE TRUCK WENT AIRBORNE. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED BACK INJURIES AND THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO HIS/HER SIDE AND KNEES. THE CONSOLE BETWEEN THE SEATS CAME LOOSE AND HIT THE PASSENGER IN THE SIDE. *NM THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. *SC *JB
I BOUGHT A CHEVY TRAILBLAZER IN MARCH OF 2004, BRAND NEW. IN NOVEMBER 2004 I SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF GAS FUMES AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS, THEY FIXED THE GAS ODOR, BUT IT DID OCCUR TO ME THAT MY TRAILBLAZER MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSING THE SEVERE HEADACHES I HAD BEEN HAVING SINCE MARCH OF 2004. MY HEADACHES DID DECREASE IN FREQUENCY THEN CEASE AFTER I QUIT DRIVING THE TRAILBLAZER. MY HUSBAND THEN STARTED DRIVING THE TRAILBLAZER. AFTER SOME DISCUSSION ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING, HE WAS TESTED AND THE LAB RESULTS DID CONFIRM THAT HE WAS TOXIC. MY TRAILBLAZER NOW SITS IN THE DRIVEWAY AND I KEEP MAKING PAYMENTS ON A VEHICLE THAT POISONED ME AND MY FAMILY. GENERAL MOTORS HAS BEEN NOTIFIED AND THEY DO NOT CARE. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS SITUATION.
I PURCHASED A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER IN SEPTEMBER 2003. WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF PURCHASE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. DEALER SAID IT WAS A COMPUTER ERROR AND RESET THE COMPUTER. APPROXIMATELY EVERY 6 MONTHS THEREAFTER, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND DEALER SAID EACH TIME IT WAS EVAPORATION CAUSED BY NOT TIGHTENING GAS CAP APPROPRIATELY. DEALERSHIP CHANGED OWNERS AND NEW DEALER RESET THE COMPUTER ONCE (SAYING GAS CAP NOT TIGHTENED APPROPRIATELY), THE SECOND TIME FOUND A HOLE IN HOSE THAT COMES OUT OF THE GAS TANK AND REPAIRED IT. UPON THE THIRD TIME WITH NEW DEALER OCCURRING 12/01/2010, WE ARE TOLD THERE IS A CRACK IN THE NIPPLE OF THE GAS TANK AND WANT TO REPLACE THE GAS TANK. I FEEL RECOURSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER IS DUE SINCE OBVIOUSLY THE PROBLEM EXISTED UPON PURCHASE OF THE NEW VEHICLE. *TR
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT AN ENGINE PROBLEM WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO START INTERMITTENTLY. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE STARTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING SMOKE WAS COMING INTO VEHICLE THROUGH THE VENTS. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER. A FEW MINUTES LATER VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED.*AK *MR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL HAS NOT WORKED SINCE SHE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW IN JANUARY OF 2004. THE WARNING INDICATORS ARE CONSTANTLY ILLUMINATED. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY, BUT THEY COULD NOT LOCATE THE FAILURE. DUE TO THE FAILURE, SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW FAST SHE IS DRIVING, HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE VEHICLE, AND CANNOT READ THE ODOMETER. RECENTLY, THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED AND SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER CHARGED $91 TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE, WHICH PRODUCED A FAILURE CODE AT THE HEADLIGHT LOW BEAM RELAY CLUSTER SWITCH. THE DEALER REPLACED THE LOW BEAM RELAY SWITCH AND IGNITION SWITCH, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. NOW THAT THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, THE DEALER HAS FINALLY LOCATED A DIAGNOSTIC CODE FOR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER FAILED AND WOULD COST $600 TO REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 68,000. CAR HAS A VIBRATION WHEN THE SPEED IS HELD CONSTANT. BEEN TO THE DEALER TWICE, THEY FOUND THAT ALL FOR TIRES WERE OUT OF BALANCE. PROBLEM STILL THERE, GAVE ONE TECH RIDE BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE, HE SAID IT WAS UNUSAL BUT HE WAS FRONT END GUY, SECOND TECH AND SERVICE MANAGER SAID IT WAS NORMAL, NOT SURE IF THEY WERE ABLE TO REPLICATE. WAS TOLD TO BRING IT BACK WHEN PROBLEM GOT WORSE OR BROKE. *AK
2004 TRAILBLAZER HAS 40 SECOND TURN ON OF HEADLIGHTS AND BACK UP LIGHTS WHEN REMOTE KEY USED TO UNLOCK DOORS. THIS HAS ON 2 OCCASIONS HAS CAUSED VEHICLES IN TRAVEL LANES TO SUDDENLY BRAKE BECAUSE WITH THE BACK UP LIGHTS ON BLAZER APPEARS TO BE BACKING INTO TRAFFIC. SOLUTION: ONLY OCCURS AFTER DARK, SO MUST BE RELAYED THRU DAYLIGHT RUNNING DETECTOR. NEEDS TO DO AS BRAKE AND TURN SIGNALS DO, FLASH ON AND THEN OFF. HEADLIGHTS HAVE STAYED ON SHINING INTO A GROUP WHO THREATEN ME WITH BODILY HARM. DEALER SAID A GM PROBLEM, THEY CAN'T CHANGE. HAD 2002,2001,1998 BLAZERS, NEVER A PROBLEM. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING AT A SPEED OF 55 MPH OR MORE, CAR SWAYS LEFT TO RIGHT, STEERING IS EXTREMELY LOOSE AND AT TIME IT IS HARD TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE FROM VEERING. ALMOST AS IF YOU ARE TRYING TO CONTROL THE CAR IN A WIND STORM. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE DEC 31, 2003, IN THE FIRST 45 DAYS I HAD IT TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES, IT'S NOW JUNE 2004 AND THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN 8 TIMES. I AM GETTING ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE. THEY KEEP TELLING ME THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. BUT I KNOW BETTER,WHEN I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE CAR GOES OFF ON IT'S OWN. I AM VERY FEARFUL FOR MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF MY 22 MONTH OLD CHILD. SOME DAYS I CAN'T EVEN BRING MYSELF TO PUT HIM IN THIS CAR. SO WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO IS I'M PAYING FOR A CAR I CAN'T EVEN DRIVE BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT ALL THIS. *LA
WHENEVER I DRIVE AT NIGHT THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR LIGHTS FLICKER AND SOMETIMES GO OUT COMPLETELY WHEN I BRAKE OR ALLOW THE TRUCK TO COAST. WHEN I USE THE GAS THE PROBLEM RESOLVES BUT SINCE I HAVE TO STOP SOMETIME THIS ISN'T A GOOD FIX. THE ELECTRICAL GAUGE ON MY DASH FLUXUATE WITH THE LIGHTS GOING FROM LOW TO HIGH AND BACK AGAIN. I'VE TAKEN INTO 2 DEALERSHIPS BUT THEY "CAN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM" I WORK NIGHTS SO I AM DRIVING MOSTLY DURING THE NIGHT. HOW IS IT SAVE FOR A YOUNG WOMAN TO DRIVE ALONE AT NIGHT WITHOUT LIGHTS? THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM THAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK AND HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. *TR
ON 4 SEPARATE OCCASIONS VEHICLE STALLED. WHEN THIS OCCURRED CONSUMER TRIED TO RESTART VEHICLE, BUT IT WOULDN'T RESTART. ALSO, KEYS WERE STUCK IN THE IGNITION. AS A RESULT, BATTERY WAS DRAINED. DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT LOCK CONTROL, BATTERY FUSES , PROGRAMMED THE CALIBRATION FOR THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, THE STARTER, AND ITS RELAY SWITCH. *AK
THE CONSUMER FELT THE VEHICLE HANDLING WAS VERY POOR. THE FRONT SUSPENSION WAS UNSTEADY WHEN BEING PASSED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE OF ANY SIZE. THE DEALER EXAMINED THE VEHICLE FIVE TIMES AND WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM. *JB WINDY CONDITIONS ADDED TO THE VEHICLE'S POOR HANDLING. THE DEALER CLAIMED THAT THIS CONDITION WAS NORMAL FOR SUV'S. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND AGREED WITH THE DEALER THEREFORE THEY TOOK NO FURTHER ACTION. *NM

CONSUMER TOOK HER 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE RECALL WORK DONE AND WAS TOLD THAT IT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN TO WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. *TS RECALL#05V198000. *JB
2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER WITH A DEFECTIVE SPEEDOMETER. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WAS REPLACED AND COST HIM NEARLY $600. HE FEELS THAT THE TRAILBLAZER SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE RECALL LIST. *KB *JB
S10 COMEBACK- LETTER TO SECRETARY FROM REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR WORK DONE TO A CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED HIS DAUGHTER OWNS THE VEHICLE. HIS DAUGHTER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL REGARDING THE FUEL PUMP. SHE MADE AN APPOINTMENT AFTER BEING TOLD IT WAS COVERED, HOWEVER WHEN SHE ARRIVED AT THE DEALER, THE MANAGER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE CORPORATE DIVISION TOLD THEM IT WAS NOT COVERED BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HAD OVER 120,000 MILES. *JB THE CONSUMER WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE DATE AND TIME THE RECALL WAS ISSUED AND IS SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT OF $900.00 FOR THE REPAIRS.
