MODE ACTUATOR FAILURE. *TR
WHEN IN MOTION, THE FUEL GAUGE AND SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. THE SPEEDOMETER PROBLEM BEGAN WHEN I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND 100 MILES AWAY FROM HOME. WHEN THE PROBLEM BEGAN, THE GAUGES WOULD SPORADICALLY MOVE UP AND DOWN. NOW THEY DO NOT MOVE UP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT BELIEVED HE WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH WHEN HE NOTICED HE WAS PASSING ALL OF THE OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAY. HE THEN REALIZED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WAS DISPLAYING AN IMPROPER READING. THE FAILURE PERSISTED AND PROGRESSIVELY BECAME WORSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE EXAMINED FOR THE CAUSE OF FAILURE AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THIS IS NOT AN ACCIDENT COMPLAIN. MY SPEEDOMETER IS STUCK ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT. THIS HAS HAPPENED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS NOW. IT DOES NOT MOVE WHEN I DRIVE OR PARK THE CAR. THE MILES ARE BEING RECORDED, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE ACCURATE. LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM. SEEMS TO ME THAT A RECALL SHOULD BE DONE. *TR
FUEL, ENGINE TEMPERATURE, TACHOMETER NOT DISPLAYING CORRECT DATA. FUEL AND TEMP GAUGE DISPLAYS SHOW NEEDLE PINNED (BELOW LOWER HALF OF GAUGE) AND TACH SOMETIMES DOES NOT WORK OR SHOWS ZERO AT IDLE. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AND OCCURANCE WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL. OBVIOUSLY, THE MOST IMPORTANT IS THE GAS GAUGE... NOT KNOWING EXACTLY HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE TANK IS HAZARDOUS AND ANNOYING. I HAVE TO "GUESS" WHEN TO FUEL UP, ESPECIALLY ON LONGER TRIPS.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE SPEEDOMETER STOPPED FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER REGISTERED 115 MPH WHEN HE WAS ONLY DRIVING 40 MPH. THE FUEL AND RPM GAUGES WERE ALSO NOT FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 61,000.
WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE I THOUGHT I HAD A GREAT SUV. LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH OF OWNING IT DID I MAKE A HUGE MISTAKE. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER OF 2 KIDS. I CHECKED OUT THE CRASH RATINGS AND THEY WERE GREAT!! I LIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT MY TB. LOOKING BACK, AFTER THE 4TH PROBLEM WITHIN THAT FIRST MONTH. I SHOULD HAVE RAN AWAY SCREAMING FROM IT, AS I DO NOW DAILY. THE LIGHTS FLICKER WHEN YOU DRIVE AT NIGHT. THE HEADLIGHTS CONSTANTLY GO OUT. THE CHECK GAUGES LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY COMING ON. THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE DROPS FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE TACH GOES CRAZY. THE "BELL" FOR THE LIGHTS (WHEN YOU HAVE THE KEYS OUT AND THE LIGHTS ARE STILL ON, OR WHEN YOU HAVE THE KEYS IN AND THE DRIVERS DOOR OPEN) WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO. THE BATTERY GAUGE WORKS WHEN IT FEELS LIKE IT. THE GAS GAUGE HASN'T HAD A PROBLEM LATELY. I AM WONDERING...DOESN'T ALL OF THAT CONSTITUTE AS A SAFETY PROBLEM?? I HAVE HAD THE LIGHTS LOOKED AT AND AM TOLD THERE ISN'T ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE..REALLY?? I AM GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE THE GAUGES LOOKED AT NOW AND FROM WHAT I SEE IT WILL COST ABOUT $600-$800. WHERE OTHER CHEVY VEHICLES HAVE HAD THIS COVERED UNDER A RECALL. THERE ARE MANY OTHER PROBLEMS I'VE HAD, THE O2 SENSOR, TEMP GAUGE, OTHER LIGHTING ISSUES THAT I HAVE TAKEN CARE OF BUT THIS IS GETTING TO BE A BIT MUCH. I SEE MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. IT CAN'T BE FROM NORMAL WEAR ON THE VEHICLE. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS BEFORE SOMEONE'S FAMILY REALLY GETS HURT, IF THEY HAVEN'T ALREADY. *TR
THE DRIVER'S POWER SEAT CONTROL PANEL HAS BROKEN OFF THREE TIMES. I REPLACED IT TWO TIMES. THIS TIME, I HAVE SIMPLY TAKEN A PLASTIC TIE AND FASTENED IT MORE OR LESS IN PLACE. IT LOOKS JUNKY, BUT AT LEAST IT IS USABLE FOR A WHILE. *TR
THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. IT SOMETIMES INDICATES THERE IS MORE FUEL THAN THERE ACTUALLY IS IN THE TANK. SOMETIMES IT SHOWS IT IS EMPTY WHEN IT IS NOT. *TR
THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW RELAY SWITCH IS BAD. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL QUOTES FROM DEALERSHIPS AND LOOKS LIKE THE COST IS AROUND $400.00. (FOR THEM TO REPLACE AND REPROGRAM). THERE IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE IF YOU CANNOT ROLL DOWN YOUR WINDOW ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND ROLL DOWN AND LOCK OR UNLOCK ANY OF THE DOORS OR WINDOWS FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE AS WELL. I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS ON VARIOUS WEBSITES FROM CONSUMERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. WITH THE MAJORITY OF THESE SWITCHES GOING BAD, THEY NEED TO RECALL THIS, AS IT IS VERY COSTLY ANDNOT AT ALL SAFE. ESPECIALLY IF AN OFFICER NEEDS TO APPROACH YOU AND YOU HAVE TO OPEN YOUR DOOR FIRST. THAT COULD LEAD TO AN UNSAFE INCIDENT TOWARD YOURSELF AS WELL AS ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENT. IF YOU CAN PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I HAVE RESEARCHED ANY RECALL ON THIS AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY LUCK. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME IN ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE. *TR
INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER ON 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FAILING. STARTED WITH SPEEDOMETER NOT REGISTERING CORRECTLY AT AROUND 85,000 MILES. THEN TEMP GAUGE PEGGED OUT AT HOT RANGE, WHICH COST ME $200.00 AT DEALER TO REPLACE A "SENSOR" WHICH DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. SPEEDOMETER GETTING WORSE OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT 15,000 MILES CULMINATING IN COMPLETE MALFUNCTION OF SPEEDOMETER AT 101,000 MILES. SPEEDOMETER NOW WILL NOT GO BELOW 40 WHILE STOPPED, AND WITH ANY SPEED QUICKLY REGISTERS 100 MPH; WHILE TRAVELING AT INTERSTATE SPEEDS (USING MY TACHOMETER BELOW 2000 RPMS) THE SPEEDOMETER IS PRACTICALLY PEGGED OUT AT MAX SPEED (> 125 MPH). NEVER REALLY KNOW WHAT SPEED I'M TRAVELING; I COULD BE SPEEDING OR I COULD BE GOING TOO SLOW WHICH IS A HAZARD TO OTHER DRIVERS AS WELL AS MYSELF. *TR
OIL GAUGE ON INSTRUMENT PANEL STOPPED WORKING IN OCTOBER 2010. IN MAY 2011 NOW THE TACHOMETER AND SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. I HAVE READ OF MANY COMPLAINTS ON 2003 TRAILBLAZER HAVING THIS PROBLEM. I AM EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE AND YET NO RECALL. HOW IS THE SPEEDOMETER MALFUNCTIONING NOT CONSIDERED A SAFETY RECALL WHEN THIS APPEARS TO BE CONSISTENT IN CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS?

2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT NORTHFACE EDITION WITH THE V8 ENGINE IS LEAKING GAS DUE TO A CRACK IN THE GAS TANK AND THE REPAIR IS OVER 1000$, MY TRUCK ONLY HAS 7500 MILES ON IT AND EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE MESSING UP. *TR
THE GAUGE BANK ON THE VEHICLE IS MALFUNCTIONING. THE GAUGES POINT IN ALL DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS AND THE SPEEDOMETER QUITS WORKING HALFWAY THROUGH A DRIVE. I SPOKE TO MY MECHANIC. HE SAYS HE HAS ALREADY REPAIRED A FEW AT ABOUT $600 FOR THE REPAIR. I CHECKED ONLINE AND FOUND SEVERAL OTHER OWNERS EXPRESSING THE SAME PROBLEM. I CONTACTED CHEVY AND THEY SAY THERE IS NOT RECALL NOTICE SO THEY ARE NOT GOING TO REPAIR THE (COMMON) PROBLEM! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SHORTED OUT AND VARIOUS GAUGES FAILED TO WORK. WHILE DRIVING, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SCREEN WENT BLANK NUMEROUS TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE RESTARTED TO RESET THE COMPUTER. THE DEALER (OCEAN CREST CHEVROLET BUICK GMC CADILLAC, 855 ALTERNATE HWY 101, WARRENTON, OR 97146, (503) 836-7913) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NOT RECALL CAMPAIGN AND ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE BE TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED WITH A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BECOMING UNRELIABLE, SPECIFICALLY THE SPEEDO AND RPM. IF THE ACTUAL SPEED IS 55 MPH I WILL GET ONE OF THREE READINGS: THE ACTUAL SPEED, A HIGHER SPEED OF ANY VALUE, A LOWER OR NEGATIVE SPEED OF ANY VALUE. HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MORE THAN A YEAR. HAD HEARD THAT THE 2004 AVALANCHE HAD A RECALL ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND WONDER IF THE TWO VEHICLES USES THE SAME PART. *TR
MY 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS A GAS LEAK LEAKS WHEN RUNNING AND THAT POSES A DANGER TO EVERYONE THAT HAS THIS MODEL GAS TANK THIS IS CLEARLY A DEFECT MANY PEOPLE ONLINE HAVE POSTED ABOUT IT ITS SEEMS TO BE IN A RANGE FROM 2002 2004 TRAILBLAZER ENVOY THAT'S WHAT I'VE FOUND OUT FROM MY RESEARCH. *TR
THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ON MY TRAILBLAZER HAS BEGUN TO FAIL. THE TACHOMETER, SPEEDOMETER AND TEMPERATURE GAUGE ARE NOT ALWAYS ACCURATE. MY VEHICLE IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND THE DEALER WILL CHARGE TO REPAIR. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE. CHEVROLET HAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR TRUCKS WITH THE SAME INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, BUT MY VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED FOR SOME REASON EVEN THOUGH IT USES THE SAME HARDWARE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN HIS WIFE CRASHED INTO A DEER AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH. THE DRIVER WAS ALSO INVOLVED IN ANOTHER CRASH WHEN TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH. SHE LOOKED DOWN TO CHECK ON A NOISE SHE HEARD AND WHEN SHE LOOKED UP THE THE VEHICLE LOST CONTROL AND CRASHED HEAD ON INTO A TREE. THE DRIVER AND THREE OTHER OCCUPANTS WERE INURED. THE GEORGIA HIGHWAY PATROL RESPONDED AND FILED A REPORT. THE PARAMEDICS ALSO RESPONDED AND TRANSPORTED THE FOUR OCCUPANTS TO THE HOSPITAL. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A STORAGE LOT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 107,000.
HEADLIGHT LOW BEAMS GO OUT WITHOUT WARNING. HI-BEAMS AND FOGLIGHTS STILL WORK. THIS HAS HAPPENED WITHOUT WARNING ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. ALL FUSES, BULBS AND RELAYS CHECKED, NO FAULT FOUND. *TR
I PURCHASED MY 2004 TRAILBLAZER OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER WITH 35000 MILES ON THE SPEEDOMETER. AT 75000 MILES THE DOOR LOCKS STARTED CLICKING AS IF LOCKING AND UNLOCKING. I TOOK IT TO A CHEVY DEALER AND THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS DEFINITELY STRANGE AND I WOULD NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT. JUST HIM SAYING DEFINITELY STRANGE TO MY EARS SAID EXPENSIVE. MY SISTER HAD THE SAME VEHICLE DIFFERENT COLOR AND HERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. NOW HOW STRANGE IS THAT? I BROKE THE APPOINTMENT AND GOT USED TO THE CLICKING. SOMETIMES IT WOULD STOP FOR A WEEK OR SO AND CLICK SOME MORE. THE CLICKING WAS LOUD AS IF YOU COULD IMAGINE THE SOUND WHEN YOU LOCK ALL THE DOORS WITH ONE CLICK. CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK EVERY HALF MINUTE OR SO. THEN THE TACHOMETER WENT NUTS. SOMETIMES IT WORKED SOMETIMES IT DIDN'T. SAME WITH THE GAS GAGE, OIL PRESSURE, TEMP GAGE AND BATTERY. ONCE THE WIPERS WOULDN'T COME ON WHILE BEING CAUGHT IN A RAIN STORM. THE STARTED WORKING AGAIN ABOUT 15 MILES LATER. NOW THE ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS ARE ACTING UP SETTING OFF THE ALARM. I NO LONGER LOCK THE DOORS DUE TO THE ALARM GOING OFF FOR NO REASON. DEACTIVATING THE ALARM CAN BE A CHORE AS PUSHING THE CORRECT BUTTON TO SHUT IT UP ONLY WORKS AFTER PUSHING IT A FEW TIMES. WE HAVE CHECKED FOR PINCHED WIRES AND CHECKED THE FUSES TO NO AVAIL. WITHOUT THESE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS I WOULD BE ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER! *TR
2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 4WD FUEL GAUGE NOT ACCURATE, GOING FROM F-E WHILE DRIVING AFTER FILLING WITH GAS. FROM ONLINE RESEARCH THIS IS THE FUEL SENDER PROBLEM THAT IS A WIDE PROBLEM FROM ALL TRAILBLAZERS. *TR

UPON RESTART, THE GAUGES BEGAN TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE EXAMINED FOR THE CAUSE OF FAILURE NOR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES FAILED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE AND THAT ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
MY 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS MULTIPLE LIGHTS ON -BRAKES, AIRBAG,BATTERY, SERVICE ENGINE SOON. ALL THE GAUGES ON THE RIGHT-OIL, GAS, BATTERY ARE BELOW THE RED LINE AS IF THE CAR IS OFF. THE CAR LOCKED ITSELF WITH THE KEYS IN IT WHILE IT WAS TURNED OFF-HAD TO CALL EMERGENCY ROAD SERVICE TO UNLOCK. THE MECHANIC STATES ALL THE LIGHTS THAT ARE ON ARE ACTUALLY FUNCTIONING AND THAT THE DASHBOARD CLUSTER MODULE IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND IT APPEARS MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME TYPE PROBLEM WITH TRAILBLAZERS-WHY HASN'T THERE BEEN A RECALL RE: THIS ISSUE? *TR
AT FIRST THE BATTERY GAUGE WENT. 2 WEEKS LATER THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE AND RPM GAUGE QUIT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. ANOTHER 2 WEEKS LATER THE SPEEDOMETER GOT STUCK AND NOW IT READS IMPROPERLY. THE GAS GAUGE HAS NOW GONE. THAT WAS THE LAST GAUGE TO GO. THIS IS ON A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH WHEN ALL OF THE GAUGES AND LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FUSE YET THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO A LOCAL, INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
MY VOLTMETER ON THE GAUGE CLUSTER DOESN'T WORK. IT APPEARS TO WORK WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED AND JUMPS TO 12-14 VOLTS BUT SLOWLY MOVES DOWN TO ZERO AND STAYS THERE NO MATTER WHAT I DO TO TRY AND MAKE IT MOVE. IF I DO NOT KNOW THE VOLTAGE I AM RUNNING I WONT BE ABLE TO QUICKLY RESOLVE ANY PROBLEMS SHOULD THERE BE ANY SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT WOULD SHOW THROUGH MY VOLTMETER. *TR
I TOO AM A RELUCTANT OWNER OF A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER THAT CONSTANTLY GETS THE IRRITATING VIEW OF AN INSTRUMENT PANEL THAT HAS GO HAYWIRE. SOMETIMES THESE THINGS WORK AND SOMETIMES THEY DO NOT. I DON'T BELIEVE I HAVE ONE WORKING GAUGE IN MY TRAILBLAZER. IT WOULD BE REALLY GRACIOUS FOR THOSE THAT ARE RELYING ON OUR HARD OWN DOLLARS TO GIVE US A PRODUCT WORTH SPENDING ON. *TR

INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES MALFUNCTION AND SHOW IMPROPER READINGS. FOR INSTANCE TACHOMETER SHOWS 5000 RPM AT IDLE. ALTERNATOR GAUGE IS OFF THE SCALE. TEMPERATURE GAUGE IS ALSO SHOWING FALSE READING. OIL PRESSURE GAUGE IS ALSO FALSE. INCIDENT DATE IS APPROXIMATE. INDIVIDUAL GAUGES FAILED OVER TIME. *TR
I BOUGHT THIS CAR ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO AND IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT AN ELECITRICAL MESS. FIRST MY HEAD LIGHTS WOULD GO OUT ONCE A MONTH, THEN A COUPLE TIMES A MONTH, THEN ONCE A WEEK. MY BRAKE LIGHTS STARTED DOING THE SAME. OUR FAMLIY MECHHANIC COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT, HE JUST KEPT REPLACING THEM AND SENDING THE BAD BULBS IN FOR WARRANTY. A COUPLE TIMES THE PIGTAILS AND LAMPS HAD TO BE REPLACES. ALSO 3 SEPERATE OCCASIONS BOTH HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT AT ONCE WHILE DRIVING. AND I HAD TO DRIVE HOME IN THE DARK WITH NO HEAD LIGHTS ON. I TOOK IT THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AFTER THE THIRD TIME ABD APPARENTLY MY FUSE BOX WAS MELTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SPENT OVER 1000.00 DOING THAT AND IT WORKED OKAY FOR ABOUT A YEAR. THEN HEADLIGHTS STARTED GOING OUT AGAIN AND BRAKE TLIGHTS AS WELL. NOT ONCE A WEEK, BUT STILL ABOUT ONCE A MONTH OR EVERY OTHER MONTH. RECENTLY MY DRIVERS WINDOW STOPPED WORKING AND I COULDN'T CONTROL THE MASTER SWITCH TO LOCK MY CAR OR ROLL UP MY WINDOWS. THE CLUSTER PANEL IN THE DOOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ALSO, HAD TWO SENSORS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE MY 4 WHEEL DRIVE, PARKING BRAKE, AND CRUSIE CONTROL WOULD STOP WORKING ALL AT ONCE AND THE LIGHTS WOULD BE LIT UP ON THE DASHBOARD. I WASNT' ABLE TO USE ANY OF THEM UNTIL THE SENSOR WAS REPLACED. ALSO THE POWER SHORTED OUT IN MY SIDE MIRROS, SO I CAN'T ADJUST THE MIRRORS WITH THE CONTROL OR THEY START TILITING BACK AND FORTH LIKE CRAZY ON THEIR OWN. I HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR AND ADJUST THEM MANUALLY. GM NEEDS TO DO A RECALL, THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE AND I WILL NOT BE BUYING A GM CAR WHILE I LOOK FOR A NEW CAR SOON. *JS

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT - FOR OVER ONE YEAR NOW, AND 4 VARIOUS MECHANICS, NO ONCE CAN FIGURE OUT WHY MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. I HAVE REPLACED TWO AIR SENSORS (ACTUALLY 3 - ONE WAS BAD)... I HAVE SPENT CLOSE TO $1,000 TO GET THIS FIXED - BUT THE DAM LIGHT CONTINUES TO GO ON (INTERMITTENTLY) SOMETIMES IT'S ON FOR A MONTH - OFF A DAY - ON TWO WEEKS - THERE IS NO PATTERN. THE LAST TIME THE LIGHT CAME ON, MY CAR BEGAN STALLING IN TRAFFIC AND STOP SIGNS. LAST MECHANIC SPENT 5 HOURS TRACING ALL THE CODES BACK - NOTHING. NEXT DAY HAD ANOTHER MECHANIC CHECK CODES AND THE ENGINE RUNNING COOL AS WELL AS A FEW OTHERS SHOWED UP. IF NO ONE CAN FIGURE THIS OUT - WHERE IS THE RECOURSE. I FEEL LIKE I AM BEING SCAMMED OVER AND OVER. I STALLED ON RT. 24 SLOWING DOWN IN TRAFFIC - AND WAS ALMOST HIT BY A BOX TRUCK BECAUSE I JUST SAT THERE. WHO CAN HELP DIRECT ME TO A REPAIR WHICH WILL ULTIMATELY END THIS ISSUE? NOW, THE LIGHTS OFF THIS WEEK (WATCH, NOW THAT I SAY THIS IT WILL COME BACK ON). THE ONLY THING I NOTICE IS THAT MANY TIMES THE LIGHT TURNED OFF AFTER I FILLED THE TANK. SO, IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO KNOWS WHAT'S WRONG (REFERRING TO MECHANICS WHO TAKE US FOR A RIDE $$$)? MY CHEVY TRAILBLAZER DISPLAYED A SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT AND 4 WHEEL DRIVE SERVICE LIGHT A FEW DAYS AGO. GOT IT TO THE DEALER. THEY STATED THE THERMOSTAT AND 4 WHEEL DRIVE SWITCH NEEDED REPLACED. ($550.00). THE DAY THIS WAS REPLACED, I DROVE IT HOME AND TESTED THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE SWITCH. AS SOON AS I PRESSED ON THE GAS IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE, THE TACH SHOT TO 5000. IT DISPLAYED 5000 FOR THE REST OF THE DAY (EVEN WHILE IDLING). THE NEXT DAY, THE TACH STOPPED WORKING ALL TOGETHER. DEALER WON'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ERROR OR REASONING TO WHY IT QUIT WORKING. I HAVE A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER WITH ONLY 45,000 MILES AND RECENTLY HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE DASHBOARD WHERE NONE OF THE GAUGES WORK. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH HE NOTICED THE SPEEDOMETER WAS DISPLAYING A SPEED OF 25 MPH. INTERMITTENTLY THE SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYS DIFFERENT SPEEDS OTHER THAN THE SPEED THE VEHICLE IS ACTUALLY TRAVELING. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO BE EXAMINED FOR THE CAUSE OF FAILURE AND IT HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. HE ALSO MENTIONED THAT APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS AGO THE TACHOMETER EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE IN WHICH IT DISPLAYED IMPROPER READINGS. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO BE EXAMINED FOR THIS FAILURE AND HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THIS FAILURE CONTINUES TO RECUR INTERMITTENTLY. FUEL SENDING UNIT STOPS SENDING CORRECT INFORMATION TO THE FUEL GAUGE CAUSING IMPROPER FUEL LEVEL READING WHICH LEAD TO INADVERTENTLY RUNNING OUT OF FUEL IN MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. FUEL GATE WILL STAY AT 1/4 FULL THE ENTIRE TIME. WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS THE GAUGE STILL READS 1/4 FULL. THE OPERATOR HAS TO GUESS HOW MUCH GAS IS LEFT IN THE TANK. *TR
LOW BEAMS WENT OFF AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN RURAL ROADWAY. THIS WAS AT 10:45 AT NIGHT ON MY WAY TO WORK. HAD TOO SIT BY SIDE OF ROAD FOR SOME TIME WITH NO LIGHTS. FINALLY CAME BACK ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 OTHER TIMES SINCE THEN. I LIVE IN A RURAL AREA, WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT THERE ARE NO STREET LIGHTS AROUND TO ILLUMINATE THE ROADWAY. I HAVE HAD 2 NEAR CRASHES DUE TO THE DARKNESS OF THE AREA IN WHICH I WAS TRAVELING. THERE ARE NO CODES BEING THROWN WHEN THIS OCCURS, NO WARNINGS, THE LIGHTS JUST GO OUT. I HAVE SEEN ACROSS MANY WEBSITES THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ON THE 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZERS MALFUNCTION. WELL, OUR VEHICLE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. I OWN A 2004 TRAILBLAZER EXT WITH THE I6 AND I'VE BEEN GETTING STRONG SMELLS OF EXHAUST FUMES INSIDE THE VEHICLE DO TO A FAULTY EXHAUST MANIFOLD THAT IS CRACKED. IT SEEMS THAT IT HAPPENS TO 90 PERCENT OF THE TRAILBLAZERS WITH THE I6 MOTOR. COME TO FIND OUT THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER WHICH TELLS ME THAT GM SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SEEING THAT IT'S HARD TO DRIVE AROUND WITH THE WINDOWS UP AND THE HEAT ON.
