FUEL GAGE SHOWS FULL AT TIMES AND EMPTY AT TIMES. HARD TO TELL AMOUNT OF GAS IN TANK ALL THE TIME. PROBLEM STARTED AT 41,000 MILES. 2005 GMC TRAILBLAZER. *TR
HEADLIGHTS DIM AND VOLT METER DROPS RANDOMLY. MOST EVIDENT AT NIGHT, OF COURSE. SOMETIMES HEADLIGHTS FAIL COMPLETELY FOR SEVERAL SECONDS. DEALER HAS REPLACED ALTERNATOR AND FUSE BLOCK BUT NEITHER FIX CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. *TR
THE SPEEDOMETER HAS BROKE. IT IS AN ELECTRICAL THING. OUR GAS GAUGE, SOMETHING ELECTRICAL HAS ALSO BROKE. WE HAD THAT FIXED FOR $400.00 AND NOW OUR SPEEDOMETER IS BROKE. IT NEVER WORKS NOW, SO YOU DON'T KNOW HOW FAST YOU ARE GOING. *TR
I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND THE SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY AND THE DEALER WANTS $350+ TO FIX IT. I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY! MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LT SPEEDOMETER HAS STOP WORKING. WHEN WE WERE DRIVING IT SUDDENLY WENT TO 120 MPH AND WERE ACTUALLY DRIVING 40 MPH. IT IS NOT SAFE TO BE DRIVING LIKE THAT! AN ACCIDENT CAN OCCUR OR POSSIBLY DEATH! TO THIS DATE IT IS STILL STUCK AT 120 MPH AND WORKS ERRATICALLY! I BOUGHT IT NEW IN 2005 AND ONLY HAS 30,000 MILES! THIS IS A SERIOUS AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM THAT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS. I BELIEVE GM SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT THEIR VEHICLES ARE SAFE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS TO DRIVE. SPEEDOMETER FAILED. *TR
THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AFTER ONLY 94,000 MILES. THE TRANSMISSION HAD NO PRIOR PROBLEMS OR REPAIRS. *TR
MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LT SPEEDOMETER HAS GONE HAYWIRE. IT WILL WORK AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT DROPS TO BELOW ZERO. IT WILL OCCASIONALLY HOVER BETWEEN 5-10 MPH AND THEN DROP AGAIN. SINCE IT FAILS TO SHOW WHAT YOUR TRUE SPEED IS, IT IS A VERY HAZARDOUS CONDITION. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHEVORLET TRAILBLAZER. I HAVE HAD BOTH SPEEDOMETER AND GAS GAUGE QUIT WORKING ON ME. HAVE BEEN TOLD IT WILL BE AROUND $500 EACH TO BE FIXED! THE SPEEDOMETER IN MY TRAILBLAZER EXTENDED WILL "GET STUCK" ON OCCASION. THE PROBLEM HAS BECOME MUCH WORSE OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS SINCE IT HAS BEEN SO COLD. I ALSO NOTICE IT MORE WHEN IT IS RAINING OUTSIDE. THIS OCCURS AT LEAST ONCE TO TWICE A WEEK. I HAVEN'T TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER YET BECAUSE I LOOKED ONLINE AND SAW THAT THIS IS OCCURRING ON MANY OF THE SAME TYPE VEHICLES. OBVIOUSLY CHEVROLET SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS AND I REFUSE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING WHEN SOMEONE ELSE HAS '!@#$% UP. *TR
BRAKE LIGHTS SEEM TO BE OVERHEATING. BULB MELTS OFF THE CONTACT PIECE. INTERIOR OF HOUSING UNIT IS MELTING AS WELL. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES A YEAR. THE ONLY THING I HAVEN'T DONE YET IS REPLACE THE HOUSING UNIT. *TR
I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK BRAND NEW OFF THE LOT IN MAY 2005. A FEW YEARS AFTER PURCHASE THE GAS GAUGE STOPPED WORKING, I ATTEMPTED TO SEARCH THE WEB FOR RECALLS AND THERE WEREN'T ANY. EVENTUALLY IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN ON ITS OWN. SO I DIDNT THINK ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT IT. AROUND 2009, OR MAYBE LATER, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I THEN FOUND OUT THERE WAS A WAY TO GET IT REPLACED FOR FREE BUT IT HAD STIPULATIONS. LESS THAN 10 YEARS OLD AND UNDER 100K MILES. WELL AT THE TIME IT WAS 108K-115K MILES AND I WAS DENIED. I MUST ADMIT I LOVE MY VEHICLE BUT TO THIS DAY I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING TO GET THE PUMP REPLACED WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY FOR IT AS IT WAS THE COMPANIES FAULT. I CALCULATE MY MILES BASED OFF THE "TRIP" INDICATOR ON THE DASH. I KNOW IT SEEMS SILLY, I MEAN IT WOULD BE MUCH EASIER TO JUST INVEST, I'M A BIT STUBBORN. SO INSTEAD, WHEN THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE I KNOW MENTION BUYING A CAR I JUST TELL THEM DONT BUY A CHEVY, EVEN IF THEY HAVE AMAZING CARS. TRUTH BE TOLD NOT ONE FAMILY MEMBER HAS A CHEVY BECAUSE OF MY INCIDENT AND ANY NEW FAMILY MEMBERS WELL THEY AREN'T ALLOWED TO HAVE CHEVY EITHER. THE LATCH SYSTEM FOR THE CAR SEAT BROKE FROM THE CAR SEAT WHEN I PULLED THE CAR SEAT BACK TO DETACH IT FROM THE CAR. (RELATED VEHICLE INFORMATION: MODEL YEAR=2005, MAKE=CHEVROLET, MODEL=TRAILBLAZER). *TR
INTERMITTENT FALSE READINGS OF FUEL LEVEL MAY CAUSE DRIVER TO RUN OUT OF FUEL IN TRAFFIC. INTERNET SEARCH INDICATES THIS IS S CHRONIC PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE CAUSED BY A DEFECTIVE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. DEALER HAS CONFIRMED THE PROBLEM BUT STATED THERE IS NO RECALL. *TR
MY SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET NEAR MY HOUSE, DRIVING AT 45 MPH WHEN IT WENT OUT. SINCE THEN IT HAS NOT WORKED AND I NEVER KNOW HOW FAST I AM GOING. I CALLED CHEVY BECAUSE I HAD READ ONLINE THAT GM IS EXTENDING THE WARRANTY ON QUITE A FEW CARS AND TRUCKS THAT ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE AND AS LONG AS YOUR CAR HAS LESS THAN 70K MILES AND/OR 7 YEARS OLD THEY WILL FIX IT AT NO COST TO THE CAR OWNER. WHEN I SPOKE TO THE REPRESENTATIVE SHE SAID THAT MY TRAILBLAZER WAS NOT INCLUDED AND THEN MADE ME AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE LOCAL DEALER. ALTHOUGH IT WAS NICE TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT I STILL HAVE TO PAY THE 200 DOLLAR DIAGNOSTIC FEE AND THE 700 DOLLARS TO GET IT FIXED. I SEE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE WITH MY YEAR AND MAKE THAT IT IS INCONCEIVABLE THAT THIS IS NOT A RECALL. *TR

I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LS AND I HAVE TWO COMPLAINTS REGARDING PART DEFECTS THAT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. 1. THE SPEEDOMETER STICKS. I CAN BE DRIVING ALONG AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY SPEEDOMETER IS NOT MOVING AT ALL. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS BEING THAT I HAVE NO CLUE HOW FAST OR SLOW I'M GOING. 2. THE FUEL LIGHT GAUGE/SENSOR JUST COMPLETED STOP WORKING. THE GAS NEEDLE DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE TANK. THIS IS ALSO EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!. I HAVE MANY FRIENDS THAT OWN CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS WHO HAVE ENCOUNTERED THESE SAME ISSUES AND I FEEL THAT CHEVY SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE ALSO READ MANY BLOGS ONLINE WHERE TRAILBLAZER OWNERS ARE COMPLAINING OF THE SAME ISSUES SO THIS IS CLEARLY A PROBLEM FOR THOUSANDS OF TRAILBLAZER OWNERS. I HOPE THAT THIS COMPLAINT WILL HELP JUMP START AN INVESTIGATION OF THESE DEFECTS, BECAUSE IT IS A MAJOR PROBLEM! ALL THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE LIGHTS FLICKER WHEN DRIVING PEOPLE THINK I'M HIGH BEAMING THEM, TRIED TO LET TB IDLE FOR A MINUTE BUT NO GOOD STILL FLICKERING. *TR
TREAD SEPARATES FROM TIRE - CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC 245/65/R17 DOT A38T BMR & A38T BM5 I HAD 4 OF THESE TIRES DO THIS. NOT ONLY HAVE I/WILL I HAVE TO REPLACE THE TIRES, BUT I ALSO HAVE VEHICLE DAMAGE. CONTINENTAL HAS THUSFAR ONLY PROVIDED A $50 CREDIT TOWARD THE FIRST REPLACEMENT TIRE. I HAVE ONE MORE OF THESE TIRES ON MY TRUCK RIGHT NOW. WE PAID $500 FOR TWO NEW TIRES IN UTAH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, IN THE MIDDLE OF NOTHING ELSE. I'M SO FRUSTRATED AND HAD NO RELIEF! WHAT CAN BE DONE FOR THIS?? *TR
I WAS DRIVING TO TOWN ON I-10 WHEN I RAN OUT OF GAS AND WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A SEMI. MY GAS GAUGE DIDN'T REGISTER EMPTY. I TOOK MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER TO GATEWAY CHEVROLET AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR AND WOULD COST ME $525.00 TO REPLACE. I NOW PERSONALLY KNOW OF 3 OTHER CHEVYS TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, 2 TRAILBLAZERS AND 1 ENVOY. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION AND FROM ALL THE COMPLAINTS I'M SEEING, I'M FAR FROM BEING ONE OF FEW THIS IS HAPPENING TO. 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUEL GAUGE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON AND FUEL GAUGE IS STUCK AT E. THE ISSUE OCCURRED AROUND 65K MILES AND IS STILL OCCURRING TODAY WITH AUTOMOBILE AT 75K. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS AND THE FUEL GAUGE FLUCTUATES AND READS THE TANK IS EMPTY WHEN IN FACT THE TANK IS FULL OF GAS. THUS THIS CAUSES A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS IS MY MAIN MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION FOR MY FAMILY AND I HAVE TO GUESS AT HOW MUCH FUEL MY VEHICLE ACTUALLY HAS AT ANY GIVEN TIME. THIS COULD RESULT IN ME EITHER RUNNING OUT OF FUEL AND STALL RANDOMLY AND BEING REAR-ENDED BY ANOTHER UNSUSPECTING DRIVER. *TR
WHEN MY MILEAGE ON MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000, THE FUEL GAUGE SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING AND READS THAT THERE IS AN EMPTY TANK DESPITE BEING FILLED TO CAPACITY. FROM MY UNDERSTANDING, THIS IS A SYSTEMIC FAULT WITH THE FUEL SENDING UNIT IN THE 2005-06 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER MODELS THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL OF PUTTING CONSUMERS AT GREAT RISK DUE TO THE POTENTIAL OF RUNNING OUT OF GAS ON EXPRESSWAYS, HIGHWAYS, ETC. AND, AS A RESULT OF AN UNEXPECTED LOSS OF MOBILITY, BEING UNNECESSARILY SUBJECT TO IMMINENT PERSONAL HARM FROM OTHER VEHICLES. I HAVE LODGED A PERSONAL COMPLAINT WITH GM AND UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF THIS DEFECT IN THE FUEL SENDING UNIT AS BEING A SYSTEM PROBLEM, BUT HAVE FAILED TO ISSUE ANY VOLUNTARY RECALL OF THE PART. DUE TO THE INDIVIDUAL COST OF APPROXIMATELY $800 FOR A CONSUMER TO PROCURE THIS REPAIR (WHICH ALMOST ALWAYS SEEMS TO OCCUR WHEN THESE VEHICLES HAVE SURPASSED 40,000 MILES AND ARE THEREFORE OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD), I BELIEVE IT IS VERY LIKELY THAT A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF THOSE CONSUMERS AFFECTED BY THIS PART FAILURE, ESPECIALLY IN THE CURRENT ECONOMIC CLIMATE, WILL BE FINANCIALLY UNABLE TO AFFORD THE COST OF REPAIRING THIS DEFECTIVE PART ON THEIR OWN AND WILL, ACCORDINGLY, BE SUBJECT TO UNNECESSARY AND SUBSTANTIAL RISK GIVEN THE POTENTIAL FOR THEM TO FIND THEIR VEHICLES OUT OF GAS WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER. MOREOVER, THE POTENTIAL FOR COLLISIONS DUE TO THE SUDDEN DECELERATION OR STRANDED VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS ALSO POSES A SUBSTANTIAL THREAT TO OTHER DRIVERS THAT IS ENTIRELY UNNECESSARY AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. *KB
THE FUEL GAUGE ON MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER STOPPED READING CORRECTLY AND HAS STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. I USE THE TRIP MILEAGE TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH FUEL I HAVE IN MY TANK. I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS SEVERAL TIMES SINCE THEM BECAUSE THIS IS NOT THE MOST ACCURATE METHOD. I HAVE READ ON SEVERAL CHEVY FORUMS THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE ON THE TRAILBLAZER YET GM REFUSES TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THE FAULTY PRODUCT. THERE IS ALREADY A RECALL OUT FOR THE 2006 MODEL YEAR, BUT I KNOW THAT MINE IS PART OF IT. I HAVE A 2005 TRAILBLAZER AND THE HEADLIGHTS KEEP INTERMITTENTLY GOING OUT AS I AM DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. FUEL SENSOR ON 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER GOING OUT FOR THE PAST YEAR. IF VEHICLE WAS FILLED, IT WOULD GO DOWN TO EMPTY AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES THEN OVER THE COURSE OF ABOUT 20 MINUTES GO TO THE CORRECT SPOT. RECENTLY IT JUST DOESN'T GIVE YOU ANY CLUE AS TO THE AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE TANK. THERE ARE PAGES AND PAGES OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME COMPLAINTS ONLINE, SO IT'S NOT JUST MY VEHICLE. I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. ABOUT A YEAR AGO THE GAS GAUGE QUIT WORKING. MY UNDERSTANDING WAS THAT IT WOULD COST ALMOST AS MUCH TO REPLACE THE SENSOR AS IT WOULD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP. I CONTINUED DRIVING THE CAR USING THE TRIP MILEAGE. I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS SEVERAL TIMES. THE LAST COUPLE OF TIMES I REALIZED THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD BE OUT OF GAS YET. WHAT IS NOW HAPPENING IS I CANNOT GET MORE THAN A COUPLE OF GALLONS OF GAS IN MY CAR AT ANY TIME. THE MECHANIC SAYS IT IS BECAUSE THE SENSOR IS STUCK AND THINKS IT IS FULLER THAN IT IS. SO NOW I CANNOT DRIVE MORE THAN 20 MILES OR SO BEFORE STOPPING FOR GAS AGAIN. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!!! *TR
THE GASOLINE GAUGE WOULD NOT READ ACCURATELY. IF WE FILLED UP OUR GAS TANK, THE GAUGE WOULD READ EMPTY. WE NEVER REALLY KNEW HOW MUCH GASOLINE WE HAD IN THE TANK. WE HAD THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR REPLACED ON 9/02/09. THIS WAS A VERY COSTLY REPAIR. WE FEEL THAT GM SHOULD DO A RECALL ON THIS PART AND WE SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR OUR EXPENSES.

I OWN A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. A YEAR AFTER PURCHASE THE FUEL GAUGE QUIT WORKING PROPERLY. IT WOULD BOUNCE BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN EMPTY AND HALF A TANK NO MATTER HOW MUCH GAS WAS IN IT AT FIRST. THEN WITHIN THREE MONTHS IT QUIT ALL TOGETHER. NOW IT JUST SITS ON EMPTY ALL THE TIME..REPEATEDLY DINGING AT ME BECAUSE IT READS AN EMPTY TANK AT ALL TIMES. I CAN STOP AT THE GAS STATION AND FILL THE TANK AND START IT UP AND IT SITS ON EMPTY AND WILL DING AT ME WITHIN 5 MINUTES TO TELL ME THE TANK IS EMPTY. TRYING TO TELL HOW MUCH FUEL IS ACTUALLY IN THE TANK HAS BECOME A GUESSING GAME. CONSIDERING I AM ALMOST ALWAYS DRIVING AROUND WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR IT IS QUITE SCARY TO THINK OF RUNNING OUT OF GAS ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION. I HAVE RESEARCHED SCORES OF FORUMS WITH OTHER OWNERS SUFFERING WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND YET CHEVROLET HAS NO CONCERNS. THEY WOULD RATHER PROFIT FROM THE ESTIMATED $1800 REPAIR BILL. WITH THE ECONOMY IN THE SHAPE IT IS THERE ARE ALOT OF US FORCED TO ENDURE THE PROBLEM AND KEEP OUR FINGERS CROSSED WE DON'T GET HIT IF WE MISTAKENLY GUESS WE HAVE MORE GAS THAN IS ACTUALLY IN THE TANK. THIS IS ON TOP OF THE WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT AT 40,000 MILES WHICH WE PAID TO REPLACE ALONG WITH THE THERMOSTAT BECAUSE IT WAS NO LONGER HEATING. *TR
THE FUEL GAUGE IS INACCURATE. THE FUEL GAUGE WILL READ EMPTY, EVEN AFTER THE GAS TANK IS FULL OF GAS. THE FUEL GAUGE WILL ALSO JUMP TO 1/4 OF A TANK AND THEN IMMEDIATELY BACK TO EMPTY.

OCCASIONALLY, WILL HOVER AROUND 10-20 MPH, NO MATTER WHAT SPEED BEING DRIVEN. SEEMS LIKE A CONSISTENT COMPLAINT. LOCAL CHEVY DEALER QUOTED AROUND $650 TO REPAIR. *TR
THE CAR ORIGINALLY STALLED WHILE DRIVING ON 95 SOUTH. NOW IT RANDOMLY STALLS ON AN AVERAGE OF TWICE A MONTH. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS, POWER STEERING SHUTS OFF COMPLETELY. IN ORDER TO GET IN RUNNING AGAIN, I HAVE TO OPEN THE FUSE BOX WHERE EVER I AM ABLE TO PULL OVER, USUALLY ON A HIGHWAY AND PUSH UP ONTO ONE OF THE FUSES. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY FIXED IT FOR JUST OVER $100. AFTER ABOUT A MONTH IT BEGAN DOING IT AGAIN. SO THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND THE SPEEDOMETER AND GAS GAUGE HAVE BOTH STOPPED WORKING. I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS AUGUST 2009 WHEN I FILLED UP THE GAS TANK I LEFT THE GAS STATION AND IT SAID I WAS ON EMPTY. I TURNED BACK AROUND AND WENT BACK TO THE SAME GAS STATION AND THE MANAGER TRIED TO FILL IT UP AND IT SHOWED I HAD A FULL TANK AT THE PUMP. IT STARTED TO WORK AGAIN BUT THEN IT WOULD FLUCTUATE BACK AND FORTH. NOW IT'S JUST NOT WORKING AT ALL FOR ME. THE OTHER PROBLEM I HAVE IS THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WENT HAYWIRE. I WOULD SHOW I WOULD BE GOING 10 MPH AND ACTUALLY WAS GOING 50 MPH. THEN WHEN I WOULD STOP IT SHOWED WHILE IN PARK 70 MPH. I WOULD HAVE TO THEN TURN OFF AND ON MY CAR TO ZERO IT OUT. THE SPEEDOMETER IS STUCK PAST THE 140 MPH MARK AND HAS MOVED. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE I HAVE 5 KIDS AND THIS IS THE VEHICLE I USE TO TRANSPORT US. WHAT IF I GET A TICKET FOR GOING TO FAST OR TO SLOW AND WHAT IF I RUN OUT OF GAS ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS IS VERY SCARY AND UNSAFE. I WAS TOLD BY A FRIEND TO SEE ABOUT ANY RECALLS AND FOUND NONE. I THEN CONTACTED GM AND THEY TOLD ME I HAVE TO TAKE IT A GM DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC BUT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THEY WOULD COVER THE COST. THEY SAID BECAUSE OF THE MILEAGE AND YEAR THAT IT'S FROM NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY VEHICLE LIKE THIS BEFORE. HOW CONVENIENT AFTER THE WARRANTY GOES OUT I HAVE THIS PROBLEM. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE FOR RECALLS I FOUND SEVERAL OTHER SIMILAR CASES OF THE SAME YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL WITH LESS MILEAGE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. I DID ASK THE GM REPRESENTATIVE FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE TO FILE A COMPLAINT AND THEY STATED THAT THEY WERE IT. I'M VERY UNSATISFIED WITH GM AND THE POLICIES AND I DON'T FEEL AS IF THEY ARE REALLY CONCERNED WITH THESE ISSUES. *TR

FOR THE MOST PART THIS HAS BEEN AN INCONVENIENCE UNTIL THE OTHER DAY. THROUGHOUT THE OWNERSHIP OF MY VEHICLE, AT ABOUT EVERY 10 - 15,000 MILES I WAS HAVING MY VEHICLE SERVICED FOR THE DOOR SEALS. WITHOUT FAIL, THEY CONTINUE TO COME OFF. THE OTHER DAY I WAS DRIVING MY TRUCK AND WAS WONDERING WHAT THAT RUBBING NOISE WAS. THE DOOR SEAL FROM MY DRIVER'S REAR DOOR WAS HANGING DOWN INTO MY WHEEL AXLE. THE SEAL GOT WORN DOWN TO THE METAL CORD THAT IS ON THE INSIDE. THIS IS A POTENTIAL HUGE DANGER SHOULD THIS HAVE FALLEN DOWN ANY FURTHER AND GOT TWISTED INTO MY WHEEL AXLE. ONE THING IT DID DO FOR SURE IS IT DESTROYED MY NEWER TIRE! THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THE DOOR SEALS ON TRAILBLAZERS ARE A POOR DESIGN BY THE MANUFACTURER AND THAT THEY ENCOUNTER A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THE DOOR SEALS. *TR

THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION UNDER NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: DP10001 (FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM) THAT COULD HAVE BEEN RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTICS WHERE THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FUEL SENSOR WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
THE PROBLEM BEGAN IN AUGUST OF 2009 - I FILLED MY GAS TANK, WHEN I STARTED THE ENGINE AFTERWARDS THE FUEL GAUGE WENT ALL THE WAY TO FULL, THEN IMMEDIATELY BACK DOWN TO EMPTY. THE GAUGE HAS FLUCTUATED EVER SINCE, MOSTLY STAYING ON EMPTY WITH THE LOW GAS LIGHT ALWAYS ON. TO AVOID RUNNING OUT OF GAS, AS A REMINDER TO MYSELF I RESET THE TRIP ODOMETER EVERY TIME I FILL UP, THEN FILL THE TANK AGAIN WHEN I REACH 250 MILES. TWO DIFFERENT MECHANICS HAVE TOLD ME IT WOULD COST $500 TO FIX THIS PROBLEM, SO I HAVE NOT HAD IT FIXED YET BECAUSE THE COST IS MORE THAN I CAN AFFORD AT THIS TIME. *TR
NORMAL DRIVING, I NOTICED SOME LIQUID SPOTS ON THE DRIVEWAY. AFTER INSPECTING, I FOUND THAT THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLING LINE IS CORRODED THROUGH, LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID. MY CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER HAS LESS THAN 60000 MILES AND IS 5 YEARS OLD. ONE LINE IS CLEAN, THE OTHER IS CORRODED BEYOND REPAIR. TRANSMISSION OIL COOLING LINES HAVE TO BE REPLACED. *TR
