IT ALL STARTED WHAEN I FILLED THE TANK OF GAS EVEN WHEN FULL THE GAUGE WENT CRAZY NEVER MARKED THE REAL AMOUT NOW ALL THE PANEL IS NOT FUNCTIONING ANS SOMETIMES TURNS ALL LIGHT AND STOPS WORKING AIR WINDOWS ETC.
THE SPEEDOMETER IN MY CAR STARTED NOT WORKING A WEEK AGO.. IT WOULD SAY I WAS GOING 70 AND IN REALITY I WAS ONLY GOING 55. NOW IT STARTS OUT AT 110MPH WHEN I START DRIVING....MAKING IT REALLY DIFFICULT TO KNOW HOW FAST/SLOW I AM GOING. I HAVE READ MANY ARTICLES OF THIS HAPPENING WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE. *TR
ODOMETER WORKS THEN JUST STOPS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON NOW ALSO IF I PLUG IN MY CELL CHARGER THE RADIO SHUTS OFF DID NOT DO THIS UNTIL ISSUES WITH ODOMETER. *TR
DASH CONTROLS AND READINGS ALL GO OUT. SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT SHOW SPEED. OIL PRESSURE GAUGE DOES NOT READ CORRECTLY. *TR
OUR SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT WORK ANY LONGER AND AS I READ, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM BUT THERE IS SO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. *TR
MY 05 TRAILBLAZER KEEPS SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN A CITY STREET. IN A 2-MILE STRETCH IT SHUT OFF 5 TIMES WITH COMPLETE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL ALMOST CAUSING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE TREMBLED AND THEN TURNED OFF. IT HAS SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING ON THREE OTHER OCCASIONS ON PREVIOUS YEARS BUT IT ONLY OCCURRED ONCE AND THEN STOPPED ON THOSE OCCASIONS.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED LACERATIONS TO THE FACE, STITCHES UNDER THE EYEBROWS ON BOTH EYES, AND AN INJURED NECK THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A SIGN AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BACK INJURIES AND THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM IF THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM IN MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LS AT TIMES DOES NOT WORK. WHEN I APPLY MY BRAKE THE BRAKE MAKES A NOISE SOUNDING LIKE GRINDING, NOT CATCHING OR HOLDING, SLIPS AND GOES TO THE FLOOR. I HAVE TO RAPIDLY ACT WITH SWIFTNESS WITHIN A SHORT TIME TO REAPPLY MY BRAKES IN HOPES THEY WORK. THE BRAKES SOMETIMES FAIL ON BUMPY ROADS, GOING OVER RAILROAD TRACKS, COMING TO A STOP AT LOW SPEED, EVEN ON SMOOTH ROADWAYS, AT TIMES ENTERING ON-RAMPS, AND TURNING CORNERS. I HAVE BEEN GOING OVER GM'S EXPANDED RECALLS TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITH TRUCK AND SUV'S BRAKES THE DATE I SAW WAS 12/23/2005. CAN I GET HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM???
MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE DRIVING THE HEADLIGHTS WILL MALFUNCTION AND TURN ON AND OFF, AT RANDOM DRIVING SPEEDS UNDER MANY DIFFERENT CONDITIONS. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE TRAILBLAZER EVEN AFTER THIS OCCURRED. JUST NOT AS OFTEN. IF THE HEATER WAS ON WHILE DRIVING AND THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD SHORT THE HEATER WOULD STOP AND THEN TURN BACK ON. THE FAN TURNS ON AT RANDOM, FIRST IT TURNS ON WHEN DRIVING AT RANDOM TIMES. THE FAN WILL TURN ON AT RANDOM TIMES WITH A HIGHER SPEED AND SOUND. I HAVE HAD THE INSPECTION COMPLETED MULTIPLE TIMES WITH A MECHANIC RE-ASSURING THE ISSUE ALTHOUGH IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FREQUENTLY. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON ALL THE TIME DUE TO COMPUTER ERROR AND IS A $500.00 FIX. THIS HAS ALL HAPPENED AND BEEN REPORTED WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM KENDAL MOTORS IN LEWISTON IDAHO. I FIND THAT THE AMOUNT OF WORK TO FIX THIS VEHICLE IS OVERWHELMING AND TO SEE THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS UNDER 100.000 MILES IS FINANCIALLY DISTRESSING. I HAVE ALREADY HAD THE FUEL PUMP PORTION REMOVED AND FIXED TWICE, I HAD TO PURCHASE A LOCKING CAP. THE STEREO REPEATEDLY JAMS WITH NEW CD'S EVEN. *TR
FUEL GAUGE HAS BEEN READY EMPTY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. I LOOKED ON INTERNET TO SEE HOW TO FIX OR POSSIBLE PROBLEMS. I NOTICED THERE WAS A LETTER SENT YEARS AGO TO THE AFFECT THAT GM WOULD COVER HALF THE COST TO REPAIR, UP TO 10 YEARS IN SERVICE OR 100,000 MILES. WHEN I CONTACTED DEALER THE CAR WAS IN SERVICE 10 YEARS AND 2 WEEKS AND HAS 84,000 MILES. I WAS INFORMED GM WILL NOT HELP COVER EXPENSE FOR REPAIR DO TO TIME IN SERVICE. I AM QUESTIONING IF THIS COULD BECOME A RECALL OR EXTENDED IN SERVICE DATING FOR THIS PROBLEM.
SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING A FEW TIMES UNTIL IT COMPLETELY HAS GONE DEAD AND DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. MY TRAILBLAZER ALSO HAS STALLED IF STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT MORE THAN ONCE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT 370. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS SHAKING VIOLENTLY MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR THE CONTACT TO CONTROL THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHILE IT WAS SWAYING BACK AND FORTH, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A MEDIAN AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER MORE THAN TWICE. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED MAJOR INJURIES IN WHICH THE INDEX FINGER ON THE LEFT HAND HAD TO BE SURGICALLY ADJUSTED AND ALSO THE THUMB WAS LACERATED DUE TO THE IMPACT OF THE CRASH. THE CONTACT WAS RECEIVING FURTHER MEDICAL ATTENTION DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE CRASH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
AFTER FILLING THE VEHICLE WITH FUEL, THE FUEL GAUGE WILL FLUCTUATE, NOT PROVIDING AN ACCURATE INDICATION OF THE ACTUAL FUEL LEVEL. NOT HAVING AN ACCURATE FUEL LEVEL MAY RISK THE VEHICLE STALLING WHILE DRIVING. NUMEROUS SIMILAR CONSUMER COMPLAINTS NOTED FOR THIS VEHICLE. *TR
HIT BLACK ICE. TRUCK SLID OFF THE ROAD AND FRONT END IMPACTED THE DITCH CAUSING HEAVY DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END. AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY CAUSING INJURY. *JS
I NOTICED MY BATTERY GUAGE QUIT. THEN AFTER STARTING MY TRUCK A FEW DIFFERENT TIMES, THE GAS GUAGE READ DIFFERENTLY. THEN MY SPEEDOMETER WDULD STICK ON 100 WHEN I WAS DOING APPROXIMATLY 60. THEN THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON IT. MY FRIEND HAS A 2005 ALSO AND HER CLUSTER PANNEL WENT OUT TOO. ITS A 400.00 REPAIR. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO QUITE A FEW 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZERS FROM WHAT IVE READ ONLINE. COME ON GENERAL MOTORS. YOU NEED TO RECALL THESE MODELS.

FIRST MY TEMP GAUGE STARTED READING INCORRECTLY. THE NEEDLE WOULD POINT WAY OUTSIDE THE NORMAL RANGE OF THE GAUGE, OFTEN STRAIGHT DOWNWARD. THEN MY SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. AT A FULL STOP IT SAYS I'M GOING BETWEEN 50 AND 65 MPH. I'VE READ ONLINE THAT THIS IS APPARENTLY A BIG PROBLEM FOR THIS MODEL AND YEAR (SEVERAL REPAIRS PER WEEK) AND YET THERE'S NO RECALL? *TR
LIGHTS GO OUT/DIM WHILE DRIVING. NO ADDITIONAL ELECTRICAL ITEMS IN USE-HEATER, AC, GPS, RADIO, CIGARETTE LIGHTER. DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE AFFECTED OR CAUSED BY SPEED, ACCELERATION, DECELERATION. FULE TANK WILL SOMETIMES REGISTER EMPTY WHILE MOSTLY FULL. DO NOT NOTICE PROBLEM DURING DAYLIGHT DRIVING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED ABRUPTLY INTO SECOND GEAR, AND FROM SECOND GEAR INTO THIRD GEAR. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FIRST AND SECOND SHIFT SENSOR IN THE TRANSMISSION WERE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED, AND THE SECOND AND THIRD SHIFT SENSOR WERE REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE VALVE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.
I JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AND WAS CHECKING ON RECALLS. I GOT A 877 # AND TRIED CALLING BUT IT WONT GO THROUGH. I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THESE ISSUES ARE RESOLVED WITH RECALL SO IF YOU CAN LET ME KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO I WILL DO IT. GM RECALL NP. 06102. *TR
FOR APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER'S SPEEDOMETER WAS INTERMITTENTLY SHOWING THAT I WAS GOING FROM 100 TO 120 MPH. IT DIDN'T MATTER WHAT SPEED I WAS ACTUALLY GOING OR EVEN IF I WAS SITTING STILL. I CALLED THE CHEVROLET HOTLINE BECAUSE I NOTICED OTHER OWNERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY WERE BASICALLY NOT HELPFUL. AS MANY COMPLAINTS THAT THERE ARE ABOUT THIS DEFECT, I CANNOT BELIEVE THE NHTSA HAS NOT STEPPED IN. IT IS NOW HAPPENING ALL THE TIME AS IT IS APPROACHING 74,000 MILES WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE MILEAGE WHEN EVERYONE IS STATING THEY ARE HAVING THE MOST TROUBLE. *TR
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAVE FLASHED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS IN THE PAST. ON THE NIGHT OF OCTOBER 2, 2014, WHILE DRIVING HOME WITH MY ENTIRE FAMILY IN THE CAR, THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT COMPLETELY. I TURNED ON MY FOG LAMPS TO GET HOME. I CHECKED ALL FUSES AND RELAYS AND THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS. I ALSO TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC, WHO SECURED A LOOSE GROUND WIRE. THIS DID NOT HELP. THEN I HEARD THAT GM WAS DOING A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM, BUT IT IS FOR MODELS 2006-2007, AND MINE IS A 2005. THEY WILL NOT HONOR THE RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. I AM AFRAID TO TAKE MY VEHICLE ANYWHERE AT NIGHT OR IN THE RAIN. I DO NOT FEEL I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR WHEN THEY KNOW IT IS AN ISSUE. *TR
LETTER FROM SENATOR DURBIN ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT RE GM RECALLS. *SMD 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONSUMER STATED SHE INQUIRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS ABOUT A RECALL, REGARDING THE MALFUNCTION OF THE SPEEDOMETER, GAS GAUGE AD OIL GAUGE. ALL THREE OF THEM STOPPED WORKING. *JB
PULLED UP TO A RED LIGHT AND STOPPED. SHORTLY AFTER, COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE ENGINE JUST SHUT DOWN. NO WARNING LIGHTS HAD COME ON PRIOR TO THE ENGINE SHUTTING DOWN. JUST LOST ALL POWER INSTANTLY. I TURNED THE KEY, AS YOU WOULD TO START THE VEHICLE, AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. VERY GLAD IT DID NOT HAPPEN WHILE I WAS ON THE EXPRESSWAY OR WHILE MOVING. I CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER IF IT IS AN IGNITION PROBLEM, AS THAT WHICH PLAGUES OTHER GM PRODUCTS. ALSO, I HAVE THE RADIO ON WHILE DRIVING AND ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, AFTER TURNING OFF THE CAR AND OPENING THE DOOR TO GET OUT, THE RADIO REFUSES TO STOP PLAYING (IT IS SUPPOSED TO, AND IT USED TO, CEASE OPERATING WHEN YOU OPEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR). I AM FORCED TO OPEN THE BACK VEHICLE DOOR TO GET IT TO STOP. I WONDER IF THIS IS A RELATED ISSUE TO THE IGNITION, AS THE IGNITION KEY MAY NOT ACTUALLY BE SHUTTING OF THE ACCESSORIES. *TR
SINCE OCTOBER 2014 THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD RANDOMLY START UP AT DIFFERENT INITIAL POINTS. SOME DAYS IT WOULD START AT 60 MPH, 10MPH AND RECENTLY IT STARTS UP AT 110MPH. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION THE NEEDLE WOULD MOVE WHEN ACCELERATING BUT THE READINGS ARE COMPLETELY INACCURATE. I HAVE READ VARIOUS ONLINE BLOGS OF THIS SAME INCIDENT HAPPENING TO NUMEROUS CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS IN GENERAL. GM DOES NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM AS A RECALL THEREFORE I WOULD FORMALLY LIKE TO MAKE A COMPLAINT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. *TR

THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE REAR SEAT BELTS THAT WERE RESTRAINING TWO CHILDREN BECAME UNBUCKLED AND EJECTED THE CHILDREN FROM THEIR CHILD SAFETY SEATS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO BODY SHOP. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 136,000.

I BOUGHT THIS CAR AT THE END OF MARCH OF THIS YEAR WITH UNDER 100,000 MILES. THE FIRST THING TO GO WAS THE GAS GAUGE, ABOUT 2 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT THE TRAIL BLAZER THE NEEDLE WENT SOUTH. IT ACTUALLY HOVERS AROUND 6 0 ' CLOCK. THEN A COUPLE NIGHTS AGO DRIVING HOME I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL ON, I TOOK IT WITH THE HAND BUTTON AND LOOKED DOWN AND THE NEEDLE NEVER MOVED, IT WAS STUCK AT 65. IT'S BEEN 3 DAYS AND THE NEEDLE HAS MOVED BUT THE WRONG WAY, TO THE RIGHT GOING UP 75, 80, 90, THEN BACK DOWN TO 65 AND STAYING THERE. IT STARTED BACK UP AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED. I TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE TO GET A FREE DIAGNOSTIC CHECK&IT SHOWED THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG. A FEW WEEKS LATER AFTER I WOULD CUT THE CAR OFF THE AIR CONDITIONING WOULD NOT STOP&THE ENGINE LIGHT CONSTANTLY COMES ON EVERY OTHER TIME I HIT THE BRAKES. I HAD TO KEEP TAKING OUT FUSE #35 TO GET IT TO STOP EVEN AFTER THE CAR WAS CUT OFF JUST SO THE BATTERY WON'T RUN DOWN. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS CHARGED AN ARM&LEG TO GET IT FIXED. I SHOWED THEM THE RECALL LETTER AGAIN AND THEY SAID IT WAS TOO LATE FOR THEM OR MYSELF TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED WAS ON LAWNDALE/7 MILE ROAD IN SAGINAW COUNTY MICHIGAN IN JUNE 2014. THE INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE, MOST RECENTLY ON 8/8/15 ON GREENWOOD ROAD IN ALGER MI. THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS GO OUT FOR NO REASON AND CANNOT BE TURNED BACK ON. THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTS WILL WORK. THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS WILL LATER TURN ON ON THEIR OWN. IT GENERALLY TAKES SEVERAL MINUTES BEFORE THIS HAPPENS. SEVERAL TIMES THIS HAS OCCURRED ON DARK, COUNTY ROADS WHICH INCREASE THE DANGER TO THE OCCUPANTS OF MY VEHICLE AND OTHER PASSENGERS ON THE ROAD. I HAVE CONTACTED GM AND THEIR EXECUTIVE OFFICE AND WAS INFORMED THAT WHILE THE ISSUE IS A RECALL FOR THE 2006 MODEL YEAR, BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WAS BUILT IN JUNE 2005 IT IS NOT COVERED.
