The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V248000 (Electrical System, Visibility). The contact stated that on several occasions while the vehicle was running or while driving at various speeds, the passenger's window switch was depressed from the driver's side door panel, and there was a clicking sound coming from the front passenger’s side of the vehicle, and the window failed to roll up or roll down. Additionally, the contact stated that on several occasions, when the driver's side window switch was depressed, the window failed to roll up or roll down. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.
The headlamps have quit working when driving at night but will come back on later. This has happened several times. I found GM recall number 14291 that is supposed to include 2006 Chevy Trailblazers and pertains to this problem. The local dealership told us that our vehicle has a vin number that is not covered. It would seem that all model 2006 Chevy Trailblazers would use the same HDM modules in them when they were built. Is ours covered?

Car randomly locks automatically by itself while car is parked and running. I have been locked out on several occasions. Locks while keys are in the ignition or if there just sitting in cup holder or wherever.
P245/65 R17, we purchased 4 tires 1 1/2 yrs ago. 3 of those 4 have had massive blow outs almost causing accidents. No nails, but big blow outs.

There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic with power steering failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 05V455000 (Steering). The approximate failure mileage was 200,000.
Driving vehicle turn it off turn back on drive somewhere and turn it off and go swimming for an hour came back go to go start it and would not start I believe it's the anti-theft system as we replaced the ignition switch and the ignition cylinder but my illumination selector for my gear selector nor my tachometer works nor do my front two windows or locks
The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact replaced the camshaft and crankshaft sensors; however, the failure recurred with an error code for the Variable Valve Timing (VVT). Additionally, the odometer mileage would not appear upon starting the vehicle until the vehicle was driven. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the timing chain and actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.
In a very severe head on crash 4/8/2022 the air bag did not deploy.
LOW BEAMS SOMETIMES FLICKER ON AND OFF AND THEN AT NIGHT WHILE IM DRIVING THEY WILL JUST GO OUT AND STAY OUT.
Brakes failed for no apparent reason around 8:00 am that morning. My friend and I was driving to my home in his 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer after many stops that morning. We was on the interstate doing 65 MPH. I noticed the traffic ahead approaching and I said "cars" indicating to my friend to slow down. He said "I have no brakes!" We narrowly missed the first cars and while readjusting we came into contact with the driver side of three vehicles rolling us on our side! I broke both my arms escaping thankfully with my life. We had no idea what suddenly and unexpectedly lost brakes. Weeks afterwards I started reading about the stabilitrac and steering sensor on the 1 of many Chevrolet vehicle defect issues. Around that year and I believe was the problem. I have been out of work and tried to explain this to people with no reply. I read an article about Chevrolet told about the issue and refused a recall. Senator Blumenthal requested an investigation but I haven't seen anything after a judge requested a Chevrolet CEO deposed. I was sold this vehicle with a corroded frame and was untold of this issue
While driving both low beam headlights turned off. This has now happened on more than one occasion.
Low beam headlights stop working, when driving at night. This problem is happening frequently.
.+Electrical system. Have read this speedometer issue can also cause other malfunctions on instrument panel such as cruise control issues. .+Driving a car with a broken or faulty speedometer is very dangerous. Not only can it put you in danger, but it can also jeopardize the safety of your passengers, and other drivers and pedestrians on the road. As for the law, you can also be ticketed for operating a vehicle with a broken speedometer, which can cost you fines and court fees, and even risk suspending your drivers’ license. .+My mechanic has not had the chance to look at it yet as he isn't open till Monday. .+No other warnings were given prior to failure.
Several months ago, I was at a fast food drive up window. I had my drivers side window down while paying for my food and receiving my food. It was down pouring and the inside of my door got pretty wet. I wiped off the rain as best as I could but everything was soaked. The very next day the drivers side door controls started to go haywire. The window button stopped working and my door locks only worked occasionally until they stopped working all together. My side mirrors can no longer be adjusted from the drivers seat. I have to get out of the vehicle and manually adjust both driver and passenger side mirrors. I'm not sure if there is a short in the wiring from the rain or just what is going on. I asked a parts dealer to see how much it would cost to replace the drivers side door controls module and he was of no help except to say its a recall part because of moisture. I've looked this up and I see there was a recall but my VIN isn't on the recall list. I don't understand why my vehicle is excluded considering this appears to be exactly what this incident generated the recall in the first place. I further looked into the investigation you had on the Trailblazer's outside of the salt belt states having the same issues with the moisture and issues that arise from the damaged door controls. I'm not sure if I would be considered in the expanded recall but I'm certain I should be as this is exactly why my drivers side door controls failed. I feel this is a huge safety issue as i don't know if there is a electrical/wiring short and not being able to adjust the side mirrors is an impairment. There was no warning to let me know anything was wrong. The system just went out just that fast. Please advise me how to proceed with my next steps to get this resolved. Also, my low beams went completely out the other day and replacing the bulbs didn't fix that issue. I do have a recall scheduled for January to get the headlights fixed and I'd like them to fix both issues. Thank you.
THE ANTI LOCK BRAKES ENGAGING WITH NO SEASONAL WEATHER
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN WHICH RESULTED IN THE CONTACT CRASHING INTO A CURB. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOCAL MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING A POWER STEERING LINE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH, NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V455000 (STEERING) HOWEVER THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE AND TOLD THE CONTACT THAT THEIR VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.
WHEN DRIVING YOU CAN ONLY GO UP TO 30 MILES AN HOUR, AND RPMS GO VERY HIGH AND VEHICLE DOES NOT GO ANYWHERE.
WHILE DRIVING ON SEVERAL OCCATIONS DURING THE DAY OR NIGHT. THE FRONT DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS AND OR THE FRONT HEADLAMPS JUST SHUT OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND JUST SITTING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. VERY DANGEROUS AT NIGHT!!

THE CONTACT STATED HER HUSBAND REPLACED BOTH LOW BEAM BULBS. THE CONTACT STATED SHE CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE DRIVER HEADLIGHT MODULE WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED HERITAGE CHEVROLET BUICK OWINGS MILLS LOCATED AT 11234 REISTERSTOWN RD, OWINGS MILLS, MD 21117, (866) 730-3826, AND THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 208,863.
STABILITRAK LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY FOR NO APPARENT REASON. HAVE HAD BRAKE FLUID, BRAKE PADS, ROTORS, SENSORS AND TIRES REPLACED. TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS CHECKED; ALL IS GOOD. NO CEL CODE RELATING TO THIS ISSUE. TRACTION CONTROL OFF BUTTON DOESN?T WORK ONCE LIGHT APPEARS. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN DRIVING WHEN LIGHT IS ON. STILL HAVEN?T FIGURED OUT WHAT CAUSES IT. BATTERY, POWER CORDS, AND ALTERNATOR HAVE BOTH HAD TO BE REPLACED DO TO ISSUES WITH THE VOLTAGE OUTPUTS. NOW TO REPLACE FUSE BOX AND ECM DUE TO MORE VOLTAGE OUTPUT ISSUES. CEL HAS HAD NO INDICATIONS OF AN ECM, FUSE BOX, ALTERNATOR, OR BATTERY PROBLEM UNTIL THEY WERE BEYOND REPAIR (THIS ALSO HAPPENED WITH OTHER TRANSFER CASE LEAK, LOSS OF REVERSE GEAR, AND FRONT DIFFERENTIAL LEAK) . CEL COMES AND GOES BY ITSELF AT ANYTIME WITH NO DIFFERENCE IN DRIVABILITY OR CONDITIONS. EACH TIME IT REAPPEARED IT?S THROWN DIFFERENT SENSORS AND/OR CIRCUITS FAILING OR HIGH/LOW VOLTAGES INCLUDING O2, MAF, TPS, EVAP SYSTEM, WHEEL SPEED, FUEL PRESSURE, OIL PRESSURE, STEERING WHEEL, GAS AND BRAKE PEDAL POSITION, AIR BAG IMPACT, JUST TO NAME A FEW. MY CAR HAS RECENTLY STARTED GOING INTO LIMP MODE AT RANDOM DUE TO THIS ELECTRICAL ISSUE. ONLY REMEDY FOR THIS PROBLEM IS DISCONNECTING THE WIRING HARNESS AND ALLOWING THE FUSE BOX AND ECM TO COOL DOWN. AND FINALLY, MY OIL FILLER TUBE SEAL BROKE AND OIL WAS SPITTING OUT INTO ENGINE BAY. COINCIDENTALLY, MY PCV VALVE TUBE HAD ALSO BROKEN, AND THE TUBE WAS HANGING LOOSE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE OIL FILLER TUBE. AS A RESULT, PCV TUBING SUCKED UP A LARGE AMOUNT OF OIL INTO THE AIR INTAKE; WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATION INDICATING ANY PROBLEMS DURING THE TIME OF FAILURE. MY AIR INTAKE SYSTEM IS NEARLY RUINED (NOT TO MENTION THE $$$ I SHELLED OUT IN OIL) AND THE WEAR DOWN ON PARTS HAS BEEN DETRIMENTAL TO THE LIFE OF THE ENGINE. THIS CAR IS NOTHING BUT A CASH COW FOR GM. *TR
I GO IN MY CAR AND START IT, AND ITS FINE GOING DOWN THE ROAD, BUT ONCE I CUT THE CAR OFF WHILE I RUN INTO THE STORE, AND I COME BACK OUT, START THE CAR, AND START GOING DOWN THE ROAD, THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON, AND "SERVICESTABILITYTRAK" COMES ACROSS THE LITTLE SCREEN, AND WON'T CUT OFF AT ALL UNTIL I TURN THE CAR BACK OFF.
WHETHER THE CAR IS TURNED ON, OR OFF WITH OR WITHOUT KEY IN THE IGNITION, IT HAS A SMALL SPEAKER OR TWEETER THAT STEADILY STAYS MAKING A FAINT BUZZ. THE CENTER CONSOLE IS VERY LOOSE, AND IF YOU PRESS OR KNOCK UP AGAINST THE RIGHT SIDE OR THE BACK SIDE, IT BECOMES LOUDER AND/OR QUIETER. THEN WHILE IN AUTO (2WD-4WD^OR4WDL) AND DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSIONS FEELS TO NOT SWITCH GEER AT THE RIGHT TIME, OR FROM DRIVE TO REVERSE AND BACK TO DRIVE IT JOLTS FORWARD OR BACK REALLY HARD.
WHEN TURN THE CAR OFF AND REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, THERE ARE TWO SPEAKERS THAT CONTINUE TO MAKE STATIC NOISE, WHETHER I HAVE OPENED THE DOOR OR NOT. IF I BUMP OR HIT THE CENTER CONSOLE IT WILL MAKE THE SPEAKERS LOUDER OR TURN OFF. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON FOR MULTIPLE CODES, AND I HAVE WORN OUT SHOCKS. THE SHOCKS SHOULD MAKE ME FEEL AS IF I AM GLIDING, BUR I FEEL AND JERK TO EVERY BUMP.
PARTS BEEN ACTING UP ON ME. BEEN HAVING NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH HYDRAULIC HOSE ON STEERING, WINDOWS/LOCKS ELECTRICAL AND BEEN CONSTANTLY REPLACING WHEELS AND HUB BEARINGS.
I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM USADOS AUTO SALES AND THE OWNER TOLD ME THE CAR HAD 185,000 ON IT. WELL AFTER PAYING CASH AND WAITING 27 DAYS I FINALLY RECEIVE THE TITLE AND IT SAYS IT HAS 260,000. THE BILL OF SALE HE SIGNED WHEN HE BOUGHT IT ALSO STATED THAT THE ACTUAL MILEAGE WASN'T CORRECT. HE FILED MY BILL OF SALE OUT AND DIDN'T INFORM ME OR EVEN RIGHT BACK THERE FORM HE LIED TO ME AND SAID IT WAS 185,000 SO I CONTACTED HIM AND HE SAID IT WAS SOMETHING HE OVERLOOKED TO JUST WRITE ON MY BILL OF SALE THE ACTUAL MILEAGE AND I TOLD HIM NO I WOULD YOU HAVE SPENT $2500 ON A VEHICLE WITH 260,000 MILES AND HE REFUSES TO HELP ME. NOW THE VEHICLES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. IT LEAKING OIL AND THE RADIO DOESN'T WORK AND IT KEEPS BLOWING FUSES.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 241,539. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF GOING DOWN THE ROAD THEN AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES IT WILL START AGAIN. ALSO I HAVE HAD THE HEADLIGHTS GO OUT DRIVING AT NIGHT THEY WILL SUDDENLY GO OUT.
MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. I STILL HAVE HIGH BEAMS, MARKER LIGHTS, BUT NOT LOW BEAM. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME THAT I NOTICED THE PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
DAYLIGHT/HEADLIGHTS SOMETIMES DO NOT TURN ON UPON STARTING TRUCK AND ALSO HAVE SHUT OFF SEVEN DIFFERENT TIMES WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT FORCING ME TO DRIVE WITH FOG LIGHTS AND HIGH BEAMS ON ENDANGERING NOT ONLY THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC, BUT MY FAMILY WHICH INCLUDES A 5 AND 9 YEAR OLD CHILD. AS STATED IN THE RECALL AND WHICH IS THE EXACT ACTION OCCURRING NOT EVERY TIME BUT (7 TIMES)1 TIME ALONE IS ENOUGH TO BE A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN TO ME AND MY FAMILY, THE HEADLAMP DRIVER MODULE (HDM) MAY OVERHEAT AND FAIL, CAUSING THE HEADLAMPS AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS TO NOT ILLUMINATE.THIS IS THE RECALL ON THIS ISSUE CURRENTLY WHICH 2006-2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS, YET HENDRICKS CHEVY SAYS THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE ESPECIALLY WHEN MY FAMILY?S SAFETY AND LIVES ARE SERIOUSLY IN DANGER EVERY TIME WE TRAVEL OR DRIVE AT NIGHT DUE TO THE RECURRING ISSUE OF THE LIGHTS NOT BEING RELIABLE AT ALL TIMES OF TURNING ON DUE TO AN OVERHEATING ISSUE, THAT ONCE AGAIN IS OCCURRING IN THESE MODELS YET MY VIN IS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL. THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE OF THIS ISSUE WAS ON JULY 12, 2019! PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE TO HAVE OTHER VIN NUMBERS APART OF THIS RECALL WITH WHOM EVER NECESSARY SO MY FAMILY?S SAFETY AS WELL AS OTHER DRIVER?S SAFETY ARE NOT AT RISK EVERY TIME WE GET INTO OUR 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER! HEADLIGHTS CUTTING OUT (COMPLETELY OFF) AT NIGHT WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE IN A NORMAL FASHION AND DURING GOOD WEATHER CONDITIONS WITH ALL INTERIOR LIGHTS OFF EXCEPT GAUGES IN DASH DISPLAY. NO SECONDARY LIGHTS OR ELECTRONICS ON AND ON A DARK ROAD WITH VERY LIMITED STREET LIGHTING AND WHILE DRIVING AT 45MPH. ABLE TO REGAIN LIGHTS BY TURNING SWITCH THROUGH FULL RANGE A COUPLE OF TIMES AND PUTTING ON MANUAL MODE. LIGHT SENSOR ON DASH IS UNOBSTRUCTED.
DRIVERS SIDE POWER LOCKS AND WINDOW CONTROLS ONLY WORK INTERMITTENTLY. BACK WINDOW WINDSHIELD WIPER TURNS OFF AND ON INTERMITTANTLY
FUEL GAUGE CONSISTENTLY SHOWED "EMPTY" AND EXTERNAL LIGHTS WERE ALWAYS VERY DIM. LACK OF AWARENESS OF FUEL STATUS LED TO BREAKDOWN ON HEAVILY TRAFFICKED ROAD AND DIM HAZARD LIGHTS CONTRIBUTED TO POOR VISIBILITY AND A FATAL ACCIDENT.
BREAK LIGHTS ARE NOT LIGHTING UP BUT LIGHT BLUBS ARE GOOD SOMETHING TO DO WITH WIRING WITH BREAK LIGHTS
IF GM KNOWS ABOUT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ON THESE TRAILBLAZERS THAT WARP AND LEAK EXHAUST WHY ARE THEY NOT FIXING THEM.IT'S A ON GOING PROBLEM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKERED WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND WERE A SAFETY HAZARD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HENDRICKS CHEVROLET (1620 MONTGOMERY HWY, HOOVER, AL 35216, (205) 545-8072) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT NEW HEADLIGHTS NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE DEALER CLAIMED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,445. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
THE AIRBAG DEACTIVATED LIGHT ON THE DASH CLUSTER COMES ON AND OFF BUT MOSTLY STAYS ON NOW. NO CODES SHOWING THE CAUSE. WHILE DRIVING BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY TURNED OFF, LATER DIAGNOSIS SHOWED AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT MELTED BOTH LOW BEAM LIGHT CONNECTORS AND WIRES AT THE BULB END, NEW CONNECTORS WERE INSTALLED. TWO DIFFERENT TIMES WITHIN 1YR THE HEATER BLOWER MOTOR RELAY HAS GOTTEN HOT ENOUGH TO MELT THE CONNECTOR AND BURN OUT THE RELAY, CONNECTOR REPLACED TWICE AND CURRENTLY MELTING AGAIN AS FAN SPEED 1, 4, AND 5 HAVE AGAIN STOPPED WORKING. HEATER BLOWER MOTOR ALSO REPLACED TWICE CONCURRENT WITH RELAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A 20 POINT INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE BY SAVAGE KIA (2725 CENTRE AVE, READING, PA 19605, (610) 678-0650). WITHIN LESS THAN 30 DAYS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED TO TURN ON AND OFF WHEN NECESSARY. THE WIPERS REMAINED ACTIVATED CONTINUOUSLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A WARRANTY AND RECOMMENDED CONTACTING THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBERS: EA12004 (VISIBILITY, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND PE12003 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VISIBILITY), ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME FAILURE AS LISTED IN THE COMPLAINTS IN THE INVESTIGATION THAT WERE CLOSED BY NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE. *TT CONSUMER STATED AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER CONSUMER NOTICED THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD TURN ON BY ITSELF AND WOULD SHOOT WATER ONTO THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING. CONSUMER PURCHASED THE PART AND HAD IT INSTALLED. VIN IS INVALID.*JB
STABILITY LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF AND ALSO FUEL LEVEL SENSOR LIGHT CONSTANLY UP AND DOWN WITH THE LEVEL OF FUEL CAUSING SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON
I HAVE A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH ONLY A LITTLE OVER 80,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE STABILITRAK SYSTEM. I WILL GET READ OUTS ABOUT THE STABILITRAK NEEDS TO BE SERVICED OR THE STABILITRAK HAS KICKED IN WHEN IT HASN'T. THE STABILITRAK WILL TRY TO IN GAUGE FOR NO APPARENT REASON WHEN APPLING THE BRAKES. IT HAPPENS WHEN I AM BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, COMING TO A STOP OR JUST APPLYING THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN. IT HAPPENS ON ALL TYPE OF ROAD SURFACES. THIS HAPPENS WHEN IT IS BRIGHT AND SUNNY OUTSIDE, ON DRY ROADS, HIGHWAYS, STREETS, DIRT ROADS AND DAY OR NIGHT. IT DOES IT AT FAST SPEEDS AND VERY LOW SPEEDS. IT MAKES A STRANGE NOISE WHEN THIS HAPPENS HOWEVER THE STABILITRAK DOESN'T FULLY IN GAUGE. THE REPAIR SHOP LOOKED AT IT AND TOLD ME THAT THEY THINK THE COMPUTER MODAL IS NOT COMMUNICATING WITH THE STABILITRAK SYSTEM. THIS STARTED A FEW WEEKS AGO. SO I'M NOT SURE HOW THIS WILL AFFECT THE BRAKES WHEN DRIVING ON THE SNOW AND ICY ROADS. I HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THE SAME TYPE OF ISSUES.
ON AUGUST 18, 2017, I LEASED-TO-OWN A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER FROM ACTION AUTO OF TUPELO, MS. AROUND THE FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER OF 2018, I HAD LEND SAID VEHICLE TO MY SISTER. SHE CONTACTED ME SAYING THAT THE ENGINE WAS MAKING A KNOCKING NOISE, AND BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BACK TO ME, WHERE I INSPECTED IT WHILE IT WAS STATIONARY. TO RULE OUT EVERYTHING ELSE BEFORE I ACKNOWLEDGED THE SOUND OF THE KNOCK BEING A SEVERE MECHANICAL FAILURE OF THE ENGINE, I CONNECTED A DIAGNOSTIC SCANNER TO THE CAN DATA CONNECTOR ON THE 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. IN SECONDS THE SCREEN ON THE SCANNER WAS FLOODED WITH FAULTS, BUT THEN THE SCANNER STARTED BEEPING, SAYING THAT THE SRS (SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM) HAD BEEN ACTIVATED. LOOKING AROUND THE VEHICLE I DIDN'T SEE ANY SIGN OF ANY AIRBAG BEING DEPLOYED, OR ANY SEATBELT MISSING. IT WASN'T UNTIL I CHECKED THE CONNECTORS COMING OUT OF THE AIRBAG MODULE THAT I SAW FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT THE AIRBAGS WERE MISSING. I INFORMED MY INSURANCE PROVIDER REGARDING THE ISSUE, WHICH THEY ASSUMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN A CURRENT ACCIDENT. IN WHICH IT WAS NOT. AFTER FURTHER EXPLANATION, THEY CANCELLED THE INSURANCE AS AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT ARE ONE OF THE CRITICAL KEY FACTORS THAT INSURANCE PROVIDERS USE TO DETERMINE WHETHER A VECHICLE IS TOTALED OR NOT. I CONTACTED ACTION AUTO OF OXFORD, MS, THEIR MAIN BRANCH I PRESUME, AND INFORMED THEM OF THE PROBLEM AND TO COME AND RETRIEVE THE VEHICLE AS DRIVING IT WITHOUT INSURANCE IS A VIOLATION OF MISSISSIPPI'S STATE'S LAW, AND THE ENGINE HAD EXPERIENCED SEVERE MECHANICAL FAILURE WHICH MADE IT UNSAFE TO DRIVE. ACTION AUTO RETRIEVED THE VEHICLE, BUT STATED THAT I HAD BROKE PROMISES IN OUR AGREEMENT, AND THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BE AUCTIONED OFF THIS YEAR, IN WHICH THEY DID. FEDERAL LAW REQUIRES ALL VEHICLES MADE AFTER 1997 ARE EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS AND TITLE 49 30112 FORBIDS THE SELL OF A NON-CONFORMING VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. THE CONTACT CONTINUED DRIVING WITH THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO VAN CHEVROLET (8585 E FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT BLVD, SCOTTSDALE, AZ 85260) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLAMP MODULE SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V519000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,232.
I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY TURING LEFT AND THE STABLIZER LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON . I PULLED OVER SHUT MY CAR DOWN . AND STARTED BACK UP THE LIGHT WAS GONE WHEN EVER I DRIVE AND I GO 60 MPH MY STERRING WHEEL STARTS SHAKING AND MY STABLIZER LIGHT COMES ON AND THE VEC. SHUTS DOWN. ALL I HAVE TO DO IS MAKE A TURN NOT EVEN QUICKLY AND THE LIGHT COMES ON.
HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT DRIVING THEM CAME BACK ON THEN OFF AGAIN. WENT TO THE DEALER FOR KNOWN RECALL 14291 AND SAID MY SPECIFIC TRAILBLAZER IS NOT LISTED FOR THE RECALL. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS I WAS DRIVING IN THE DARK FOR MANY MILES. I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR ANY FIXES AS GM KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM NOT SURE WHY IT'S ONLY TO SPECIFIC TRAILBLAZERS AND NOT ALL FROM 2006-2007
THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS START OPERATING BY THEMSELVES. ALSO WIPER FLUID COMES OUT BY ITSELF. THE WIPERS AND THE WIPER FLUIDS COMES OUT RATHER THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHEN OR WHERE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS SPRAYED UNCONTROLLABLY AT MAXIMUM PRESSURE. EVEN THOUGH THE SPRAYER ACTIVATED UNCONTROLLABLY, THE WIPERS DID NOT WORK. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED LIT PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED PROGRESSIVE CHEVROLET AT 330-879-3697 (LOCATED AT 8000 HILLS AND DALES RD NW, MASSILLON, OH 44646) AND WAS ADVISED TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 126,000.
MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WON'T COME ON. I'VE REPLACED THE RELAY SWITCH, FUSE ONCE ALREADY. FINE FOR A SHORT TIME NOW THEY'RE NOT WORKING AGAIN.
