I HAVE A 2006 TRAILBLAZER THE GAS GAUGE QUIT WORKING. IT IS AN EXPENSIVE FIX. I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS AND I AM SHOCKED THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL. *KB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH WHEN THE ENGINE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE IGNITION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 39,700. UPDATED 02/15/12*BF UPDATED 05/021/2
2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER FUEL QUANTITY INDICATOR UNRELIABLE. AFTER REFUELING, FUEL QUANTITY INDICATES EMPTY, FUEL LOW LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED AND "CHECK ENGINE" WARNING PRESENT -- OBDS DECODES AS FUEL SENDING PROBLEM. GAUGE INTERMITTENTLY STARTS WORKING NORMALLY AFTER FUEL LEVEL IS REDUCED BY AN ESTIMATED 3-4 GALLONS AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SUBSEQUENTLY CLEARS AS FAULT HISTORY CYCLES. HOWEVER, GAUGE MUST BE ASSUMED TO BE UNRELIABLE. INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS THIS HAS BECOME AN INCREASINGLY FREQUENT OCCURRENCE FOR 2005-2006 MODEL YEARS. FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS MY FUEL GAUGE ON MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS BEEN ACTING CRAZY, READING EMPTY REGARDLESS OF ACTUAL FUEL LEVEL. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NOW IS ON, READING CODE P0463 FOR HIGH FUEL INPUT SO I WILL FAIL MY NYS INSPECTION. *TR
FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS, MY GAS GAUGE HAS REGISTERED "EMPTY" REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH GAS WAS IN THE TANK. ALSO, THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT PERIODICALLY COMES ON IN THE DASHBOARD MESSAGE CENTER. I CANNOT TELL IF THIS IS RELATED TO THE FUEL GAUGE MALFUNCTION OR IF THERE IS ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT NEEDS ATTENTION. THIS HAS RESULTED IN A GREAT DEAL OF INCONVENIENCE, ANXIETY, AND BIG SAFETY CONCERNS. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING MY CAR ONE WEEK WHILE HERS WAS BEING REPAIRED. SHE RAN OUT OF GAS AND WAS STRANDED UNTIL ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER COULD LEAVE WORK TO COME HELP HER. WHEN I CONTACTED THE DEALER FROM WHOM I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, I WAS TOLD THE GAS TANK WOULD NEED TO BE REMOVED TO REPAIR THE DYSFUNCTIONAL SENSOR (AT A COST OF $500 TO $600). I CAN SEE THAT THIS HAS BEEN A RECURRING PROBLEM IN SEVERAL MODEL YEARS OF THIS SAME VEHICLE AND GENERAL MOTORS HAS NOT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. THE FAILURE OF THE MANUFACTURER TO CORRECT THE DEFECT DESPITE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS AND SAFETY CONCERNS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I TRUST THE U.S. DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION WILL ACT TO ORDER GM TO RECALL AFFECTED VEHICLES FOR APPROPRIATE REPAIRS. *TR
GAS GAUGE DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY SEEN WHERE SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM. I THINK IT SHOULD BE A RECALL. *TT
2006 CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER WITH APPROXIMATELY 75,000 MILES ON IT. ABOUT A YEAR AGO THE VEHICLE DIED ON ME WHILE AT A STOP SIGN. ALL THE ICONS IN THE DASH BOARD LIT UP AND ENGINE ALARMS WENT OFF BEFORE IT DIED. I TRIED TO RESTART, BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. ALSO THE KEY LOCKED IN THE IGNITION. A GOOD SAMARITAN GAVE ME A JUMP START AND I MADE MY WAY HOME. I DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH. A MONTH HAS GONE BY AND THE PROBLEM STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN. THIS TIME, I TURNED THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND NOTHING HAPPENED. 5 SECONDS LATER ON IT'S OWN THE VEHICLE CRANKED OVER AS I WAS ABOUT TO STEP OUT OF THE CAR. I CONTINUED DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR ANOTHER WEEK WITH NO PROBLEMS. THIS WEEK IS ANOTHER STORY, IT STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN. I HAVE READ BLOGS ONLINE WITH MANY CHEVY TRAILBLAZER OWNERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. AS OF RIGHT NOW MY VEHICLE IS AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE THIRD TIME THIS YEAR. ALL THEY CAN SAY IS THAT I HAVE A DEAD CELL IN MY BATTERY. OF COURSE A MONTH AGO, THEY SAID MY BATTERY WAS GOOD. MY BROTHER INLAW ALSO OWNS A CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE INVESTIGATE I'M RUNNING OUT PATIENTS AND MONEY. NOT TO MENTION A SAFETY ISSUE BEING STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED BUT INDEPENDENTLY RE-ILLUMINATED WITHIN SECONDS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OF REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,164 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 91,194.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR CONTROL MODULE CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO REPLACED THE MODULE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,309 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 43,000.

HE NOTICED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHEN HE ADDED FUEL TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. GAS GAUGE READING NOT CORRECT.IT WILL READ THE CORRECT LEVEL THEN DROP TO EMPTY. GAS GAUGE DOES NOT WORK ANY MORE READS EMPTY ALL THE TIME IT IS A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND DOING RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET THERE ARE NUMEROUS CHEVYS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE HAD BECOME INOPERABLE AND WAS READING INACCURATELY, DESPITE THE AMOUNT OF FUEL THAT WAS IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS OR DIAGNOSIS. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 46,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
IN APPROXIMATELY APRIL OF 2010 MY GAS GAGE ON MY 06 TRAILBLAZER QUIT WORKING. THE PART WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AT 84K MILES. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN TRAVELING 400 MILES WITH ELDERLY AUNT AND SMALL CHILD 2X A WEEK. ON OCTOBER 1, 2010 I WAS INVOLVED IN A HIGH SPEED COLLISION WHEN A CAR PULLED IN FRONT OF ME, WHILE I WAS GOING 70MPH. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, I SUFFERED MAJOR TRAUMA TO MY KNEES AND AM UNABLE TO WALK WELL OR DRIVE. I HIT MY HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND CONTINUE TO HAVE PAIN. MY ELDERLY AUNT BROKE 3 CERVICAL VERTEBRAE AND STILL HAS A TRACHIOTOMY OVER A MONTH LATER. SHE IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL, AND IT IS UNKNOWN IF SHE WILL COME HOME. *TR
FUEL GAUGE QUIT WORKING. *TR
THE FUEL SENSOR STOPPED WORKING. GM SENT OUT A FORM STATING THE SENSOR ON CERTAIN YEARS OF THE TRAILBLAZERS WOULD STOP WORKING PREMATURELY AND THE COMPANY WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY HALF THE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A RECALL. IT SHOULD BE REPLACED FOR FREE.
WHEN I WOULD FILE UP MY 2006 TRAIL BLAZER WITH GASOLINE, THE GAUGE WOULD NOT WORK PROPERLY. NEVER KNEW FOR SURE HOW MUCH GAS I HAD. NOW FUEL GAGE DOES NOT WORK AT ALL AN D PERIODICALLY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. HAVE HAD IT TESTED AND IT COMES UP AS ISSUES WITH FUEL GAGE. *TT
FUEL TANK SENSOR WENT OUT ON MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH ONLY ABOUT 36,000 MILES ON IT. WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THAT WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER IT. SINCE THEN EVEN THOUGH I TRACK MY MILEAGE I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS MULTIPLE TIMES, CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE IT REPLACED. PRICE QUOTES HAVE BEEN IN THE 550-600 DOLLAR RANGE. *TR
MY VEHICLES GAS GAUGE SIMPLY CEASED WORKING WITH NO APPARENT REASON OR WARNING CAUSING ME TO RUN OUT OF GAS ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP WHO INFORMED ME THAT, MORE THAN LIKELY, ONE OF THE THREE SENSORS IN MY GAS TANK HAD CEASED WORKING AND THAT IT WOULD COST ME APPROXIMATELY $1200.00 TO REPAIR THE SAME, WHICH I CANNOT AFFORD AND WHICH HAS YET TO BE REPAIRED CAUSING ME NO END OF GRIEF AND AGGRAVATION.
AS OF TODAY, MY REDUCED ENGINE POWER LIGHT CAME ON AND THERE APPEARS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM. WHEN I TURNED THE CAR OFF, AND THEN RESTARTED IT, THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY, BUT THEN A FEW MINUTES LATER, CAME ON AGAIN, AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AS THE PROBLEM OCCURRED CROSSING AN INTERSECTION. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, OR IT COULD HAVE BEEN VERY SERIOUS. *TR

I HAVE HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH MY POWER WINDOWS GOING UP AND DOWN AND THEN JUST NOT WORKING AT ALL. I SMELL SMOKE SOMETIMES BUT CAN'T LOCATE THE CAUSE OF THE SMOKE. I HAVE ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION TO THE RADIO, WHICH ALSO WORKS SOMETIMES BUT THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME IT DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR A LONG TIME NOW AND NEED A RESOLUTION BEFORE MY SUV CATCHES FIRE. I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE POWER DOOR LOCK WHICH WORKS INTERMITTENTLY-WHENEVER IT PLEASES. I RECENTLY STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY REAR WIPER BLADE-TURN IT ON AND IT MOVES A LITTLE THEN STOPS. MY HEADLIGHTS DIM UP AND DOWN WHILE DRIVING...I HAVE REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND THE BATTERY AND STILL DON'T HAVE ENOUGH POWER FOR SOME REASON-DEALERSHIPS WANT TO CHARGE A LOT OF MONEY JUST TO DIAGNOSE WHEN IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DEFECT IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OF THE SUV. *TR
VEHICLE BOUGHT AUG 2010 WITH 76, 014 MILES ON IT. ABOUT ONE MONTH AFTER THE PURCHASE THE GAS GAUGE STARTING ACTING ERRATIC. ( COULD HAVE BEEN THAT WAY WHEN WE BOUGHT IT BUT DIDN'T NOTICE.) WHEN YOU WOULD FILL IT UP IT WOULD STILL READ E UNTIL YOU DROVE ABOUT 50 MILES OFF FROM IT THEN IT WOULD BOUNCE AROUND SOMETIMES READING CORRECT OTHER TIMES NOT. I RAN OUT OF GAS ON I-69 ONE TIME FORTUNATELY FOR ME NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME BECAUSE I THE WHOLE VEHICLE STARTING JERKING AND EVENTUALLY JUST SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE STILL READ THAT IT HAD GAS AT THAT POINT. IN FEBRUARY 2011 THE GAS GAUGE JUST QUIT WORKING ALL TOGETHER WOULD READ E EVEN WHEN YOU FILLED IT ALL THE WAY UP. HAD TO USE GALLONS USED TO TELL HOW MUCH FUEL WAS IN IT. MAY 2011 THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED COMING ON AND OFF. JULY 11, 2011 I TOOK IT TO A GM SERVICE SHOP FOUND OUT THE ERROR FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS THE FUEL SENSOR AND THE SAME REASON THE GAUGE WASN'T WORKING. $458 AND CHANGE TO HAVE IT FIXED. I HAD IT FIXED BECAUSE I COULDN'T AFFORD TO RUN OUT OF GAS ON THE FREEWAY AGAIN WITH THREE SMALL CHILDREN THAT ARE FREQUENTLY RIDING WITH ME. LOOKING FOR A RECALL BECAUSE THIS IS A VERY WIDESPREAD ISSUE AND A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ONE WHEN PEOPLE ARE RUNNING OUT OF GAS ON MAJOR FREEWAYS BECAUSE OF IT. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER REFUELING, THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE WOULD NOT REGISTER THE QUANTITY OF THE FUEL ADDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH IN THE RAIN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING AND THE RAIN GUARD TRIM KIT ON THE TAILGATE BROKE AND WAS HANGING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND REMOVED THE TRIM KIT SINCE IT COULD HAVE FALLEN OFF OF THE VEHICLE AND HIT SOMEONE'S VEHICLE AND CAUSED A CRASH. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS NO REASON THAT THE TRIM KIT SHOULD HAVE BROKEN OFF OF THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT WAS NOT DAMAGED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CONTACT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR SINCE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED AND THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THE CONTACT STATED THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIRS SINCE THE FAILURE WAS A DESIGN DEFECT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
IN SEPTEMBER 2010 I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS GOING ALL OF THE TIME . THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET THEM TO SHUT OFF OR TURN THEM BACK ON IS TO TAKE THE FUSE OUT. THIS IS SO INCONVIENT BECAUSE THE FUSE BOX IS LOCATED IN THE BACKSEAT ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE . I HAVE TO LIFT THE SEAT UP AND REMOVE TWO BOXES AND PUT IN THE FUSE AND TO REMOVE IT I HAVE TO USE PLIERS TO GET IT OUT.... ALSO MY LOW FUEL LIGHT STAYS ON EVEN WHEN I HAVE A FULL TANK OF GAS SO I AM CONSTANTLY AT THE GAS STATION GETTING GAS SO THAT I AM AWAYS SURE TO HAVE GAS IN MY VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO PUT THE VEHICLE ON DIAGNOSTIC FOR $99 WHICH DOES NOT GO TOWARDS THE COST OF REPAIRS WHICH I CAN NOT AFFORD BECAUSE I AM UNEMPLOYED.. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FROM AND THEY INDICATE THAT IT IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO BUT REPAIR IT AND MAYBE GIVE ME 10% OFF OF MY REPAIRS SINCE I PURCHASED IT FROM THEM...... I HAVE A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, WITH ABOUT 57,000 MILES. THE GAS SENSOR IS MALFUNCTIONING, AS AFTER I FILL UP WITH GAS, THE GAUGE WITH GO FROM EMPTY, TO FULL, TO EMPTY, ETC. I WAS TRAVELING ON FOUR-LANE DIVIDED HIGHWAY WHICH IS ONE OF THE MAJOR THOROUGHFARES FOR OUR CITY WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE GAS GAUGE READ ABOVE EMPTY, HOWEVER THE VEHICLE RAN OUT OF GAS. TRAFFIC WAS FAIRLY HEAVY AT THE TIME AND HAD I NOT BEEN TRAVELING IN THE RIGHT LANE AND ABLE TO READILY REACH THE EMERGENCY LANE THE SAFETY OF MY PASSENGER AND MYSELF COULD HAVE BEEN IN JEOPARDY,
WHEN I FILLED MY CAR UP IT WOULD SUDDENLY SHOW IT WAS EMPTY & A CHECK ENGINE ICON SHOWED UP & YELLOW LOW ON GAS WARNING LIGHT STARTED DINGING LAST FALL 2010. WHEN I DROVE APPROX 25 TO 30 MILES IT WOULD REGISTER GAS NORMALLY & ENGINE LIGHT WOULD GO AWAY. I FILL UP EVERY 2- 3 WEEKS NORMALLY. THEN THIS PAST FEBRUARY IT WENT HAYWIRE & WHEN I FILL UP IT GOES TO THE EMPTY SIDE, ENGINE ICON SHOWS UP & LOW ON GAS LIGHT DINGS & IT NEVER REGISTERS CORRECTLY AT ALL, THE GAS HAND IS ALL OVER AND I HAVE BEEN HAVING TO USE THE MILEAGE GAUGE TO EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH I MIGHT HAVE. IT LOW GAS WARNING WILL STAR DINGING & I AM DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD OR INTERSTATE FOR NO REASON & STARTLE ME. IT HAS CAUSED ME TO SUDDENLY JERK THE STEERING WHEEL BECAUSE I AM STARTLED & THAT IS DANGEROUS IN ITSELF. OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN OWNED GM CARS FROM THE MID 1990'S ON AND THIS HAS CAUSED A VERY UNSAFE FEELING FOR ME. I AM SO CONCERNED THAT SINCE THE GAS GAGES ARE SO WRONG WHAT WOULD JUST KEEP IT FROM "SENSING" THERE IS NO GAS AND SUDDENLY STOP! I WOULD HATE FOR IT TO TAKE A DEATH TO PUSH THIS PROBLEM TO BE A RECALL. I AM ALSO A CONSUMERS REPORT PANELIST AND THIS WILL BE ON THEIR REPORT THIS YEAR FOR SURE. THIS VEHICLE HAD THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FAIL AT 98,000 MILES AT THIS TIME I WENT IN TO GET A REPLACEMENT PART ONLY TO FIND THAT ONE WAS NOT AVAILABLE SO WITH NO OTHER OPTION WE DROVE IT WITHOUT A FUEL LEVEL GAUGE THEN GM SENT OUT A SPECIAL OPTION COVERAGE LETTER STATING THAT THEY WOULD COVER 50% OF THE PARTS AND LABOR OF THE REPAIR SO I AGAIN LOOKED INTO A REPLACEMENT PART AND FOUND THAT ONE WAS NOW AVAILABLE SO I HAD THE REPAIR DONE. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT NOW GM IS REFUSING TO COVER THE REPAIR BECAUSE NOW THE VEHICLE HAS 142000 MILES ON IT AFTER SPENDING MONTHS OF TRYING TO GET THEM TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT I HAD THE BBB LOOK INTO THE ISSUE AND GOT NO WHERE SO I HAD THE STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL LOOK INTO IT AND GOT NO WHERE NOW IT IS TIME FOR EVERYONE TO SAY ENOUGH AND FORCE GM TO RECALL ALL 865,000 VEHICLES AND DO THE RIGHT THING ALREADY. I REALLY DON'T CARE IF THIS WILL BANKRUPT THEIR COMPANY THAT IS THE RISK THAT THEY TAKE WHEN THEY PUT DEFECTIVE PARTS INTO THE MARKET AND THEN DON'T DO THE RIGHT THING AND REPLACE THEM AT THEIR OWN COST NOT PASS THE COST ONTO THEIR CUSTOMERS AS THEY ARE TRYING TO DO. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE ADDING GASOLINE TO THE FUEL TANK THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD NOT INDICATE THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF GASOLINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 45000.

THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 34,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 33,000.
I HAVE A 2006 TRAILBLAZER EXT AND THE TRACTION IS NO LONGER OPERATIONAL.. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AS I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE. DOES SOMEONE NEED TO BE KILLED BEFORE ACTION IS TAKEN? NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT DUE TO THE HIGH COST FOR THE REPAIR. WHAT IS CHEVY GOING TO DO IN THAT IT IS A SERIOUS DEFECT WITH THEIR VEHICLE? SECONDLY, THE GAS GAUGE STOP WORKING AND I RAN OUT OF GAS. THIS IS ANOTHER SERIOUS DEFECT THAT WILL CAUSE OTHERS TO BE KILLED. ONCE AGAIN A RECALL NEEDS TO BE PUT IN PLACE BEFORE SOMEONE IS HARMED. WHERE IS CHEVY'S LIABILITY IN THESE ISSUES? *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATED THAT THE TANK WAS EMPTY AND THAT THE FUEL LIGHT WAS ALSO ILLUMINATED; BOTH OF THESE COMPONENTS MALFUNCTIONED ALTHOUGH THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL. THE FUEL GAUGE ALWAYS DISPLAYED EMPTY NO MATTER HOW MUCH FUEL WAS IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED THAT THE FITTINGS FOR THE BRAKE SYSTEM WERE LEAKING. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT HE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL REPAIRS (FUEL SENDING UNIT AND FITTINGS REPLACED). THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 77,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 74,000. MY FUEL GAUGE STARTED ACTING UP ABOUT A YEAR AGO. I HAVE NOT FIXED IT BECAUSE IT WILL COST ME AT LEAST 500.00. I AM A TEACHER AND MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN LAID OFF FOR OVER 2 YEARS. THE FRONT AND REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS WOULD ALSO OPEN AND CLOSE INDEPENDENTLY. THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW WAS LOCKED AND WOULD CLOSE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTICS WHO STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WINDOW SWITCH AND SIDE PANEL WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MECHANIC UNPLUGGED THE WINDOW SWITCH. THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION UNDER NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: EA12004 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
