GAS GAUGE WENT CRAZY BOUNCED TO FULL THEN EMPTY LIGHTS FLASHING THEN STOPPED WORKING ALL TOGETHER. I WAS TOLD IT IS THE FUEL GAUGE SENSOR WHICH COSTS AROUND $1000 TO REPAIR DUE TO HAVING TO DROP THE GAS TANK. ALSO CAUSES ENGINE LIGHT TO REMAIN ON AT ALL TIMES. *TR
THE GAS GAUGE ON MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER IS INACCURATE. IT SHOWED THAT I HAD A QUARTER OF A TANK OF FUEL LEFT AND THE TRUCK DIED WHILE DRIVING DOWN A BUSY STREET. LUCKILY THE CAR BEHIND ME WAS ABLE TO AVOID HITTING ME AS WE WERE ONLY TRAVELING 45 MPH. *TR
AT 30,000 MILES THE FUEL GAUGE ON MY 206 TRAILBLAZER STARTED GIVING WRONG READINGS. IT NEVER HAS THE CORRECT AMOUNT ON THE GAUGE. IT HAS CAUSED ME TO RUN OUT OF FUEL ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. I HAVE BEEN LUCKY TO NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. AS THE MILEAGE CAN CHANGE BASED ON DRIVING I HAVE TO JUST FILL UP EVERY 200 MILE TO BE SAFE. GM HAS TOLD ME THIS REPAIR IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY AND WOULD COST ABOUT $1000.00 FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE FUEL SENDING UNIT. *TR
FUEL SENDING UNIT FOR 06 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. INOP. LEADING TO STRANDED VEHICLE. *TR
AFTER FILLING MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER WITH GASOLINE, THE GAS GAUGE INCORRECTLY READ "EMPTY". AFTER THE INITIAL INCORRECT READING, MY GAS GAUGE HAS NOT BEEN ACCURATE SINCE. ON ONE INSTANCE, MY WIFE RAN OUT OF GAS ON THE SIDE OF A BUSY INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AND WAS STRANDED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE I COULD COME BRING HER GAS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A VEHICLE WITH LESS THAN 75,000 MILES AND LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD. *TR
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON MY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT CONTINUE TO GO OUT. THE PROBLEM STARTED ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO WHERE INITIALLY THE DRIVERS SIDE LOW BEAM LIGHT WOULD TURN ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. THEN, THE PIG-TAIL WIRING TO THE BULB BURNED UP (LUCKILY NOT CAUSING A FIRE, WHICH MY MECHANIC SAID COULD HAVE HAPPENED). THE PIG-TAIL WAS REPLACED AND THE LIGHT WORKED, BUT ONLY FOR ABOUT 8-10 MONTHS, WHICH THE WIRING BURNED UP AGAIN. THE SAME MECHANIC REPLACED THE WIRING AGAIN, AND THIS TIME IT ONLY LASTED ABOUT 6-8 MONTHS, AND HE REPLACED IT YET AGAIN. THIS FINAL WIRING REPLACEMENT LASTED, BUT THE RELAY WENT UP. WE REPLACED THE RELAY SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, BUT NOW THE LIGHT IS STARTING TO WORK INTERMITTENTLY AGAIN, WORRYING ME THAT THE PIG-TAIL WILL BURN UP AGAIN AND POSSIBLY CATCH FIRE. THE FIRST TIME IT BURNED UP, I NOTICED SOME VERY NOXIOUS FUMES WHILE DRIVING WHICH NAUSEATED ME TERRIBLY. I UNDERSTAND OTHER TRAILBLAZERS HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A RECALL ON IT AS THERE IS A SIMILAR RECALL ON SOME OF THE TRAILBLAZERS FOR THE BRAKE LIGHTS. *TR
AS WITH MANY OTHER POSTERS AND COMPLAINANTS, I TOO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE LOW FUEL LIGHT ON MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. IT WILL SHOW LOW FUEL EVEN AFTER FILLING UP AS WELL AS WAIVER FROM FULL TO EMPTY WHILE DRIVING. THIS NEARLY BECAME A PROBLEM AS MY FAMILY AND I WERE DRIVING ON A LONG STRETCH OF HIGHWAY IN WHICH NO GAS STATION WAS A ROUND FOR 100 MILES. THANKFULLY THE GAUGE WAS WRONG IN TELLING US IT WAS LOW AS IT COULD HAVE BEEN VERY BAD DUE TO THE TIME OF NIGHT WHEN WE WERE DRIVING. I HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM YET. FOR NOW I AM JUDGING MY GAS LEVEL BASED ON THE ODOMETER READING AND ESTIMATED GAS MILEAGE. PROBLEM BEGAN TO OCCUR AROUND 43,000 AND IS NOW AT 48,000 MILES. *TR
I RAN OUT OF GAS EVEN THOUGH MY CAR GAS GAUGE SAID IT HAD GAS. WHEN I WENT TO PUT GAS IN CAR I FILLED IT UP AND MY GAS GAUGE SAID IT WAS EMPTY EVEN THOUGH IT IS FULL... MY CAR ON HAD 17,000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT BEGAN HAVING THIS PROBLEM GAS GAUGE DOESN'T WORK TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE SENDING UNIT AND I KNOW MANY PEOPLE WITH 06 CHEVY'S HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. *TGR
THE WIRING HARNESS TO THE HEATER BLOWER MOTOR MELTS THROUGH. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE REPLACED OURS.
I FILLED MY VEHICLE WITH FUEL AND WENT TO START IT AND IT DIED. I RESTARTED IT AND IT LUGGED AND DIED. I STARTED IT AGAIN AND IT WAS RUNNING OK, BUT I NOTICED THE FUEL GAUGE WAS STUCK AT EMPTY AND MY LOW FUEL WARNING KEPT DINGING. ONCE MY TANK GOT TO ABOUT 3/4 FULL THE GAUGE WOULD WORK AGAIN. AFTER A FEW MONTHS, THE GAUGE NEVER WORKS AND I HAVE TO TRY TO KEEP A REALLY CLOSE EYE ON THE MILEAGE TO KNOW WHEN I NEED TO FILL UP. WE TOOK THE CAR TO AN AUTO PARTS STORE AND HAD THEM DO A READ ON THE COMPUTER BECAUSE OUR SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT IS ALSO ON HALF THE TIME. IT CAME BACK AS A "SENDING UNIT MALFUNCTION" IT COULD BE THE FLOAT OR THE SENDING UNIT. THE REPAIR WAS QUOTED AS $600.00 SO WE CANNOT AFFORD TO FIX IT YET. THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY AT 45,000 MILES WHEN THIS OCCURRED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE HAD MALFUNCTIONED. IN ADDITION, THE FUEL AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS WERE ALSO ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFERED ANY ASSISTANCE AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER ADDING GASOLINE TO THE FUEL TANK THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD MISREAD AND DISPLAY THAT THERE WAS NO FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO ADVISED HIM THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000. MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS HAD INACCURATE FUEL GAUGE READINGS SINCE 8/10. FOR THE PREVIOUS 10 MONTHS IT HAS READ EMPTY ON THE GAUGE AND GIVES AN AUDIBLE WARNING. WE HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS 3 TIMES. ONCE IN TRAFFIC. DEALERSHIP WANTS OVER $800.00 TO FIX IT. WE HAD DECIDED TO DILIGENTLY FILL THE CAR AND CHECK THE TRIPOMETER REGULARLY. WE TRIED TO REGISTER IT AND TO NO AVAIL, WON'T PASS. I HAVE READ NUMEROUS POSTS ON LINE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. I AM 45 YEARS OLD AND HAVE OWNED 15 CARS. NOT 1 HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM AND ALL WERE OLDER VEHICLES. ADDITIONALLY, 4 OF THE PREVIOUS ONES HAD BEEN CHEVYS. THEIR SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH SEVERAL YEARS OF THESE VEHICLES. PLEASE CONDUCT A RECALL ASAP. *KB
WHEN I FILL MY GAS TANK THE FUEL GAUGE GOES TO EMPTY AND STAYS THERE, AND SOMETIMES GOES ERRATIC UP AND DOWN SO YOU NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE TANK. I AM VERY AFRAID THAT BY NOT KNOWING HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE TANK, IT MAY LEAD TO OVER FILLING AND CAUSING A FIRE HAZARD AT THE PUMP BY SPEWING GAS ALL OVER TO RUNNING OUT OF GAS IN A PASSING LANE OF A HIGHWAY POSSIBLY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY TO MYSELF OR ANYONE ELSE IN MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER, TO INJURY OR DEATH TO ANYONE IN THEIR CAR THAT MAY HIT ME OR RUN INTO SOMEONE ELSE TO AVOID ME. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT I SEE OCCURS TO MANY, MANY OTHERS WITH MY 2006 GM TRAILBLAZER SIMILAR MODELS OF DIFFERENT YEARS!! AT THIS TIME I HAVE NOT GOTTEN TO A MECHANIC ON THIS ISSUE, BUT SEEING ON BLOGS IT APPEARS TO BE THE SENSING UNIT AND FUEL PUMP. *TR
FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO SHOW INCORRECT AND ERRATIC LEVELS. IT NOW SHOWS THAT THE TANK IS ALWAY EMPTY AND PUTS ON THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT EVERY TIME I FILL THE TANK ALL THE WAY UP. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT IS NEEDS A NEW FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT AT A COST OF NEARLY $600. *TR

AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE, THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE DROPPED FROM FULL TO EMPTY AND WOULD NOT DISPLAY AN ACCURATE READING OF GASOLINE IN THE VEHICLE. THE LOW FUEL LIGHT WOULD CONSTANTLY ILLUMINATE AND THE CONTACT STATED SHE WOULD HAVE TO REFUEL THE VEHICLE DAILY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO DROP THE FUEL TANK AND REPAIR THE SENSOR AT HER EXPENSE. THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
OWN A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER. HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS THREE TIMES BECAUSE THE GAS GAUGE DOES NOT READ. THE CAR IS FULL OF GAS, BUT THE GAUGE STILL READS EMPTY. HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS ON MAIN ROADS AND CAUSED TRAFFIC JAMS. WILL COST OVER $1000 TO REPAIR THE FUEL PUMP. *TR

THE FUEL GAUGE WAS ALSO READING AS IF THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE EXAMINED FOR THE CAUSE OF FAILURE AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 141,000.
COMPLAINT AS TO THE PERFORMANCE/RELIABILITY OF THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INSTALLED IN MODEL YEAR 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER VEHICLES. THE FUEL TANK LEVEL SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE AND COULD RESULT IN A SUBJECT VEHICLE RUNNING OUT OF FUEL, STALL, AND BEING REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. *TR
THE FUEL GAUGE QUITE WORKING AT 75,000 AND IS CAUSED BY THE FUEL SENDING UNIT BEING DEFECTIVE. THIS CAUSES A HAZARD SINCE UNABLE TO DETERMINE AMOUNT OF FUEL AVAILABLE AND COULD CAUSE ENGINE TO QUIT ON ROAD. FROM ALL ITEMS I HAVE READ ABOUT THIS SEEMS TO BE A DEFECTIVE PART AND EVEN WHEN REPAIRED GOES BACK OUT. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT IN THE TANK WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
MY VEHICLE FUEL GAUGE WAS MOVING FROM EMPTY TO FULL SPORADICALLY. FINALLY MY FUEL GAUGE INDICATED THAT I HAD AN EMPTY TANK; THIS IS AFTER I HAVE COMPLETELY FILLED MY TANK. I TOOK MY VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL SENSOR WENT BAD AND IT WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE NOT HAD THE VEHICLE REPAIRED BECAUSE IT WILL COST NEARLY $900.00. *TR
WHEN I STARTED CARE ON ABOVE DATE I SMELT SOMETHING HOT LOOKED UNDER HOOD SAW NOTHING. AFTER ENTERING CAR REALIZED THE ELECTRIC WINDOW CONTROL SWITCHES ON DRIVER SIDE WAS THE ISSUE IT WAS HOT AND SMOLDERING. SMOKE BY THEN WAS ENTERING CAR. I PULLED OVER AND CALLED A FRIEND MECHANIC WHO TOOK THE MELTED PART OUT AND UNPLUGGED ELECTRIC WIRES. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST $1500 TO REPLACE AND DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY. *TR

IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE A PERSON COULD RUN OUT OF GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A INTERSECTION OR WHEN TURNING ON A ROAD OR MERGING WITH TRAFFIC. *TR
2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER: AFTER FILLING THE CAR UP, THE GAS GAUGE READS EMPTY AND THROWS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON PROBLEM. IT HAS ALSO BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT IT IS CAUSED BY THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR/ FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IT CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH THE DRIVE TRAIN IF IT IS NOT FIXED. I HAVE SPOKE TO OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS AND THEY TOO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. MY TRAILBLAZER ONLY HAS A LITTLE OVER 43,000 MILES ON IT. *TR

WHILE RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET FOUND THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL LEVELING SENSOR IN THE TANK. THIS COULD BE A SAFETY PROBLEM SINCE IT IS A COMBINATION OF MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS THAT MAKE THIS WORK. I WILL BE REPAIRING MYSELF BUT GM NEEDS TO REMEDY THIS FOR SO MANY OTHERS. *TR

THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT AND PROGRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR WAS REPLACED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER STALLED. I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SAFELY AND WAS UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE. WE HAD IT TOWED TO A GARAGE AND HAD TO PAY OVER $500 IN PARTS AND LABOR TO GET IT FIXED. IN THE END THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND THE FAULT, IT JUST FINALLY STARTED. THE FUEL GAUGE HAS SINCE FAILED AND READS EMPTY ALL THE TIME. BEFORE THE FUEL GAUGE FAILED IT WOULD GIVE INACCURATE FUEL READINGS. WE HAVE ALSO HAD NUMEROUS STALLS SINCE THAT ARE RESOLVED BY WAITING FOR 30 MINUTES AND TRYING AGAIN. *TR
IN MID-2010 THE FUEL GAUGE ON MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER BECAME ERRATIC AND SOON AFTER STOPPED WORKING. THE GAUGE IS ON EMPTY, THE FUEL LIGHT STAYS ON AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINS ON CONTINUOUSLY. THE VEHICLE HAD ABOUT 40K MILES ON IT WHEN THE PROBLEM STARTED. *TR

FUEL SENSOR AND/OR SENDING UNIT INSTALLED IN THE 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT IS DEFECTIVE. INITIALLY, THE NEEDLE BOBBLES BETWEEN THE ACTUAL FUEL LEVEL AND EMPTY BUT EVENTUALLY SITS AT THE EMPTY READING DESPITE THE ACTUAL FUEL LEVEL. THE DEFECT, WHICH SHOULD BE RECALLED, COULD RESULT IN THE VEHICLE RUNNING OUT OF FUEL, STALLING OUT AND POSSIBLE REAR ENDING BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SEVERAL DEALERSHIPS AND IT IS EVIDENT IN SEVERAL BLOGS THAT THE AVERAGE COST TO FIX THE PROBLEM IS $800.00. IT IS ALSO CLEARLY A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM AS EVIDENCED BY SEVERAL INTERNET BLOGS AND DEALERSHIP CONFIRMATIONS. PLEASE INITIATE A RECALL. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FUEL ASSEMBLY WOULD REQUIRE REPLACEMENT. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 62,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD NOT REGISTER AN ACCURATE READING AFTER FUEL WAS DISPENSED INTO THE FUEL TANK TO THE FULL CAPACITY LEVEL. A TRIP METER WAS USED TO MONITOR THE DISTANCE TRAVELED AFTER REFUELING. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO PASS THE STATE INSPECTION DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY INFORMED THAT THE FUEL SENSOR WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NEITHER DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000. FILLED MY TANK UP WITH GAS AND IT READ EMPTY. THE GAS LEVEL SENSOR DOES NOT WORK, I HAVE TO CALCULATE MY MILEAGE AND HAVE BEEN STRANDED WITH NO GAS ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY TWICE WHILE I WAS PREGNANT AND HAD AN INFANT IN THE TRAILBLAZER WITH ME. NOT SAFE AND I THINK THAT IF THERE ARE AS MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. I PURCHASED A 2006 TRAILBLAZER IN 2006. IT RAN GREAT UNTIL ABOUT 36000 MILES WHEN THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN ACTING UP. AT ABOUT 36500 MILE, THE GAUGE QUIT WORKING AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE 800.00 TO REPAIR. I HAVE TO TRY TO GAUGE HOW MANY MILES I CAN GET ON A TANK OF GAS. IT HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR OVER A YEAR AND A HALF. I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS TWICE, ONCE IN THE SUMMER WITH TWO SMALL CHILDREN IN THE CAR AND ONCE IN THE WINTER. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY GM. I UNDERSTAND THEY SAY THEY WILL DISCOUNT THE REPAIR 50 %, BUT THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THE CONSUMER HAS CONTROL OVER. WE CAN NOT CAUSE THE DAMAGE AS IT IS INSIDE THE GAS TANK. WE HAVE 2 GM PRODUCTS AND IF IT IS NOT REMEDIED THEY MAY BE OUR LAST. MAYBE IT IS TIME FOR SOMEONE TO FILE A CLASS ACTION SUIT. LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS GO OFF WITHOUT WARNING AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES DRIVING. DASHBOARD LIGHTS STILL ON... (NOT A FUSE PROBLEM...NOT A BLOWN HEADLIGHT)...AFTER CAR IS TURNED OFF FOR A WHILE(30 MINUTES OR SO). LIGHTS WILL COME ON WHEN CAR IS STARTED...PROBLEM REPEATS ITSELF AFTER 20 MINUTES OR SO...THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE DRIVER MAY NOT KNOW THE LIGHTS ARE OFF UNLESS THE STREET IS EXTREMELY DARK...MAKING THE DRIVER A HAZARD TO OTHERS ON THE ROAD, AS WELL AS HIMSELF. *TR
THE GLUE THAT HOLDS THE REAR WINDOW ON THE VEHICLE SEPARATES FROM THE WINDOW, CAUSING THE WINDOW TO BLOW OUT. WE NOTICED THE WINDOW WAS LOPSIDED SO WE OPENED IT AND FOUND THAT ONE SIDE OF THE WINDOW HAD COME UNGLUED. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING AND THEY SAID IT COULDN'T BE REGLUED - IT WOULD HAVE TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACED. CHEVY WON'T COVER IT BECAUSE IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY. WE LEFT AND HE CALLED US WITH THE QUOTE OF $1000 FOR REPLACEMENT. JUST A FEW MINUTES LATER, THE ENTIRE WINDOW BLEW OUT. IT SHATTERED GLASS ALL OVER THE ROAD AND VEHICLE, EVEN HITTING US IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. LUCKILY OUR DAUGHTER WAS NOT IN THE CAR. THE PLASTIC COVER THAT SITS OVER THE TOP OF THE WINDOW FLEW OFF THE BACK AND INTO TRAFFIC. THERE WAS A CAR BEHIND US BUT THERE WASN'T MUCH TRAFFIC SO THEY MANAGED TO AVOID BEING HIT. NO ONE WAS HURT WHEN IT EXPLODED BUT IT COULD VERY EASILY HAVE HURT SOMEONE IN THE BACK SEAT OR IN VEHICLES BEHIND US. *TR
CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZERS ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH FUEL GAUGE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. CHEVROLET KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THEY KNOW THAT LOTS AND LOTS OF THEIR TRAILBLAZERS ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY WITH THE FUEL SENSORS AND ARE CHARGING PEOPLE $800-$1,000 TO FIX A PROBLEM THEY SHOULD RECALL. MY TRAILBLAZER HAS APPROXIMATELY 76,000 MILES AND THE FUEL GAUGE BROKE YESTERDAY. THIS IS A CONCERN BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT TELL WHEN YOU ARE LOW IN GAS. WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, YOU COULD CAUSE OR BE IN AN ACCIDENT IF YOUR CAR RUNS OUT OF GAS GOING DOWN A BUSY INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH NOT KNOWING IF YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT FUEL OR NOT. GM SHOULD RECALL THE TRAILBLAZERS SINCE SO MANY OF THE VEHICLES HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE GAS GAUGE. FUEL SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS ARE DANGEROUS. *TR
CAR SHUTS DOWN WITH NO POWER WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THEN THERE IS A TWO MINUTE DELAY BEFORE YOU CAN CRANK IT OVER AND START IT AGAIN. THEN IT MAY SHUT DOWN AGAIN ANOTHER HALF MILE UP THE ROAD... AND THE PROCESS REPEATS. THIS IS AFTER NUMEROUS OTHER PROBLEMS: SUCH AS FAILED GAS GAUGE, WATER PUMP, WIPER MALFUNCTIONS, LOCK AND WINDOW PROBLEMS..ECT. ANYTHING ELECTRICAL IS BEING AFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM BUT THE SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING IS VERY UNSAFE DUE TO THE POTENTIAL FOR REAR END ACCIDENT. *TR
