I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT NIGHT CLOSE TO MY HOUSE WHEN THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OFF COMPLETELY. I TRIED SWITCHING THEM ON AND OFF WITH THE SWITCH TO NO AVAIL, BUT FOUND THAT THE HIGH BEAMS DO WORK. THERE WERE MANY INSTANCES IN THE PAST WHERE I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT AND THOUGHT THAT THE LIGHTS HAD FLICKERED, BUT WASN'T COMPLETELY SURE UNTIL THIS HAPPENED. I CALLED MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALER TODAY, AND THE WOMAN TOLD ME THAT SHE COULD NOT FIND A RECALL OR EVEN A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN AFTER I TOLD HER THE PROBLEM I WAS HAVING. *TR

HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. ONLY BRIGHTS WORKED. REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WENT DOWN MYSTERIOUSLY AND WOULD NOT GO UP FOR 24 HRS. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (DRL) NOT WORKING.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AFTER DARK, IN FAIRLY BUSY TRAFFIC AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I HAD NO HEADLIGHTS, THE LOW BEAMS ARE NOT WORKING.. I QUICKLY PULLED OVER TO CHECK BUT STILL NO HEADLIGHTS.. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V519000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000. GM SAFETY RECALL 14291 DATED JANUARY 2015. AS OF TODAY WE CAN NOT GET INFORMATION ON PARTS TO CLEAR THIS RECALL UP. HAVE CONTACTED DEALERSHIP AND THE CHEVROLET CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER AND NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHEN THESE PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE. LIGHTS START DIMMING WHILE DRIVING. PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT AND REAR LIGHTS KEEP BURNING OUT. REPLACED HEADLIGHT TWICE WITHIN A YEAR PLUG WAS MELTED. NUMBER 4 ON THE AIR CONDITIONER/HEATER CONTROL HAS GONE OUT TWICE. CLUTCH FAN HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 YEARS. CODE SAYS ON HIGH SPEED. WATER PUMP HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES AND CONTINUES TO LEAK AFTER A FEW MONTHS. ALL HAVE BEEN ON HIGHWAY OR IN CITY DRIVING.
GAS GAUGE NOT WORKING,FUEL SENSOR RECALL WAS ISSUED A FEW YEARS BACK, VEHICLE WAS NOT FIXED BUT NOW RECALL DOES NOT SHOW UP AT THE DEALERS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE FUEL SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. AFTER I FILLED THE FUEL TANK IN MY CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER THE FUEL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE FUEL GAUGE READ EMPTY. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN RESETTING MY TRIP METER WHEN EVER I FUEL UP,BUT MY HUSBAND FORGOT TO AFTER FILLING UP AND RAN OUT OF FUEL WHEN HE WASN'T SURE OF HOW MUCH GAS THE VEHICLE ACTUALLY HAD. I CONTACTED THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AFTER I FOUND THAT THE NHTSA HAD A DEFECT INVESTIGATION ON MY VEHICLE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT INFORMED ME THAT IT WOULD ONLY BE REPLACED IF THE VEHICLE WAS 120,000 MILES OR UNDER AND UNTIL AUGUST 2015.NOW I HAVE 122,000 MILES I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE PART MYSELF? THE PROBLEM AND DANGER OF ENGINE STALL STILL EXISTS DUE TO LOW FUEL LEVELS NO MATTER WHAT THE MILEAGE IS.THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURE DID NOT INFORM US THAT WE HAD TO DISPOSE OF THE VEHICLE AFTER 120,000 MILES BECAUSE IT WAS GOING TO BE UNSAFE AND NO WARRANTY TO REPAIR A DANGEROUS RECALL.I FEEL THAT CHEVROLET SHOULD REPLACE THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR NO MATTER WHAT THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS BECAUSE THE DANGERS STILL EXIST.I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE THOUGHT PROCESS BEHIND THIS AND I GREATLY APPRECIATE HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM. *TR

MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUEL GAUGE INDICATOR WENT OUT. WHEN YOU FILL UP THE TANK THE GAS GAUGE REMAINS AT EMPTY. NOW I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE TANK. THIS IS A PUBLIC SAFETY MATTER. I CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT BE EXPECTED TO KNOW HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE IN MY CAR WITHOUT A PROPERLY WORKING GAS GAUGE. IF MY CAR RUNS OUT OF FUEL AND AN ACCIDENT OCCURS IT WOULD BE TOTALLY AVOIDABLE. IT IS CLEAR THAT THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL HUNDRED COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND THE NTSB OPENED AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER BUT FAILED TO ACT. I WOULD BE OK WITH PAYING TO FIX THIS ISSUE IF IT WAS A RARE OCCURRENCE BUT CLEARLY THERE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINTS AND GM AND NTSB ARE AWARE. NTSB WOULD BE COMPLICIT IF AN ACCIDENT OCCURS BECAUSE THEY DID NOTHING TO PROTECT THE INDIVIDUALS ON THE ROAD. IF THE NTSB CANNOT MAKE GM RECALL THE VEHICLES FOR THIS SAFETY PROBLEM THAN I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE NTSB DOES AND I WOULD ADVOCATE NOT FUNDING THIS ENTITY. MY VEHICLE WAS RECALLED NOV 24, 2014 FOR IT'S LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. THE NHTSA RECALL NUMBER IS 14V755. GM STILL HAS NOT FOUND A REMEDY TO THIS. THEY MAKE MANY MODELS OF VEHICLES, ALL OF WHICH HAVE HEADLIGHTS, SO WHY THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DEVELOP A SOLUTION AFTER 17 MONTHS IS VERY DISTURBING.

WE OWN A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH 86492 MILES ON IT. YESTERDAY AFTER FILLING THE VEHICLE TO A FULL TANK OF GAS. THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD DROP TO EMPTY AND THE EMPTY TANK LIGHT WILL COME ON. *TR

I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I LOST POWER IN THE VEHICLE. I HAD NO ACCELERATION, I LOSE POWER STEERING. VEHICLE WAS STILL POWERED ON BUT I COULD NOT PICK UP SPEED OR STEER VEHICLE. I HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND CUT OFF IGNITION THEN RESTART VEHICLE. ONCE RESTARTED I HAD FULL FUNCTIONALITY AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES IN THE LAST 30 DAYS. VEHICLE HAS ALSO STARTED STALLING WHEN ATTEMPT TO START UP. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY AT NIGHT THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY WENT OUT. I WAS UNABLE TO GET THEM TO COME ON AGAIN AND HAD TO DRIVE 15 MILES IN TRAFFIC WITH THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTS ON. I CHECKED THE LAMPS, SOCKETS, FUSES AND WIRING. NO PROBLEMS WERE FOUND, SO I REPLACED THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT RELAY. THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS CONTINUE TO INTERMITTENTLY FAIL. AFTER PARKING THE CAR THE HEADLIGHTS BEGIN WORKING AGAIN. THE DEALER AND GM SAY THERE IS A RECALL IN THE WORKS FOR SOME 2006 TRAILBLAZERS, BUT MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED. GM NEEDS TO EXPAND THIS PENDING RECALL TO COVER ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 TRAILBLAZER AND THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL COME ON AND SPRAY WIPER FLUID WHEN IT GETS READY WHILE THE SWITCH IS TURNED OFF. I USE TO BE ABLE TO TURN THE SWITCH ON AND BACK OFF AND THEY WOULD GO OFF BUT NOW THAT IS NOT WORKING AND THEY WILL STAY ON EVEN THOUGH THE SWITCH IS OFF. NO WIPER FLUID IS SPRAYING OUT BUT IT WOULD IF IT WAS NOT EMPTY BECAUSE IT SPRAYS ALL THE TIME. THIS IS CAUSING MARKS ON THE WINDSHIELD FROM DRY WIPING AND I AM TIRED OF GOING DOWN THE ROAD WITH MY WIPERS ON AND IT IS NOT RAINING. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2002 MODEL BUT THIS IS HAPPENING ON LATER MODELS AND THE RECALL NEEDS TO BE MADE SO CONSUMERS CAN GET THEIR TRUCK FIXED
ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2014, AT APPROXIMATELY 11:30 A.M. WHILE MY HUSBAND AND I WERE DRIVING ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE STANDING ROCK SIOUX RESERVATION MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER EXT CAUGHT ON FIRE. WE BOTH SMELLED SMOKE, PARKED (DIDN'T TURN OFF THE IGNITION) AND FLAMES BEGAN TO SHOOT OUT FROM UNDERNEATH THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. WE GOT OUT AND RAN TO THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AS THE FIRE ENGULFED THE ENTIRE FRONT MOTOR AREA. MY PURSE WAS STILL IN THE BURNING VEHICLE AND I TOLD MY HUSBAND HE RAN BACK TO THE BURNING VEHICLE TO RETRIEVE IT. HE SUSTAINED BURNS TO HIS HANDS, FACE, LEGS AND FEET. IN ADDITION HE RECEIVED SMOKE INHALATION TO A DEGREE OF A "BLACK OUT" STAGE. WE WITNESSED THE TIRES BURN UP ONE AFTER ANOTHER, BEGINNING WITH THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE, THEN THE PASSENGER SIDE, THE REAR DRIVER'S AND THE PASSENGER'S SIDE - AT THIS POINT WE MOVED FURTHER AWAY FROM THE BURNING VEHICLE AS WE EXPECTED THE CAR TO EXPLODE ONCE IT REACHED THE GAS TANK AREA, BUT SOMEHOW THE GAS TANK DIDN'T EXPLODE. IN FACT, THE SPARE TIRE WHICH SITS UNDERNEATH THE GAS TANK RECEIVED A SLIGHT SINGE AND DID NOT BURN (ALONG WITH THE GAS TANK). THE ONLY WARNING WE HAD WAS THE "SMELL OF SMOKE" - THE TRAILBLAZER'S DASH WARNING LIGHT DID NOT APPEAR TO INDICATE ANYTHING WAS WRONG. IN ADDITION, ON OR ABOUT OCTOBER 25, 2014, ANOTHER TRAILBLAZER (SAME AREA) ALSO BURNT UP (AS REPORTED BY BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT). *TR

MY DOOR MODULE WENT BAD. THE PART HAS A RECALL, THE MANUFACTURE DOESN'T HAVE A FIX. THE MANUFACTURE WANTS ME TO PAY FOR ANOTHER DEFECTIVE PART. THEN REIMBURSE ME WHEN THEY HAVE THE FIX. I COULDN'T MAKE SENSE OF THIS SINCE THE PART IS UNDER RECALL JUST SWAP IT OUT FOR ANOTHER DEFECTIVE PART. WHEN EVER THEY HAVE A FIX LET ME KNOW I WILL TAKE MY VEHICLE. WHY PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT HAS A RECALL. IF YOUR GOING TO REIMBURSE ME ANYWAY! I WILL LIKE TO KEEP MY 500+ AND NOT WAIT FOR GM TO PAY ME BACK. PLUS THEY WANT TO PAY A DIAGNOSTIC FEE WHEN I TOLD THEM WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. *TR
WHEN YOU CRANK THE VEHICLE THE WIPERS COME ON AND STAY ON UNTIL YOU TURN THE VEHICLE OFF.IT ALSO PUTS OUT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID EMPTIES OUT ALL WASHER FLUID AND THE MOTOR STILL RUNS. MOTOR NEVER STOPS RUNNING FOR THE WIPERS. WILL EVENTUALLY BURN OUT. *TR

WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD MY HEADLIGHTS WOULD GO OUT. WE PUT A NEW FUSE IN THAT HAS HELPED FOR A WHILE. NOW ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO I SHUT MY CAR OFF AND OPENED THE DOORTHE RADIO WOULD NOT SHUT OFF SO I TURNED MY CAR ON AND BACK OFF IT WENT OFF THAT TIME. I TOOK MY DAUGHTER INTO DANCE WENT OUT TO GET SOMETHING OUT OF MY CAR AND MY HEADLIGHTS WERE STILL ON. SO I TURNED MY CAR ON AND OFF LOOKED STILL ON SO I WENT BACK TO WATCH MY DAUGHTERS DANCE. AFTER ANOTHER HOUR IT WAS TIME TO GO HOME WALKED OUTSIDE HEADLIGHTS WERE STILL ON. GOT HOME MY HUSBAND LOOKED AT IT AND TRIED TURNING THEM OFF NOTHING WOULD TURN THEM OFF. THIS COMPLAINT INVOLVES THE REAR LIFTGATE WIPER NOT FUNCTIONING. IT FIRST STARTED BY RUNNING SLOWER AND SLOWER, THEN FINALLY STOPPED FUNCTIONING COMPLETELY. I HAVE REPLACED IT TWICE NOW, AND BOTH TIMES THE WIPER MOTOR WOULD FUNCTION FOR A VERY BRIEF TIME, THE FIRST TIME AROUND IT DIDN'T LAST FOR 36 HOURS BEFORE CEASING TO FUNCTION AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN TO NUMEROUS FORUMS TO RESEARCH THIS PROBLEM, SUCH AS TRAILVOY.COM, AND IT IS QUITE APPARENT TO ME THAT THIS IS A WIDESPREAD ISSUE, WITH LITTLE HOPE OF AN EASY REPAIR. IT APPEARS THE SUSPECT PART, THE LGM, CAN'T BE ORDERED OR REPLACED BY THE COMMON MAN, AND MANY OF US DO NOT HAVE THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO CONTINUALLY BE TAKING THE VEHICLES TO THE SERVICE BAY OF OUR LOCAL CHEVY, GM OR BUICK DEALER. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR MANY REASONS, BUT PARTICULARLY FOR THOSE OF US WHO LIVE IN A RURAL ENVIRONMENT OF DIRT/GRAVEL ROADS AS THE DRAFT AT THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE ALWAYS CAUSES THE LIFT GLASS TO BECOME SOILED, REDUCING VISIBILITY TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES, WHICH MAKES FOR LESS SAFETY WHEN CHANGING LANES, BACKING UP AND SO ON. ADDITIONALLY, THERE HAS BEEN NO SOLUTION ISSUED YET FOR THE FLICKERING HEADLIGHT ISSUE THAT A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR LAST YEAR FOR THESE VEHICLES. THIS IS BECOMING MADDENING, IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG. APPARENTLY NONE OF THE HIGHER UPS AT GM LIVE IN REGIONS WHERE THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL DEER POPULATION. THANKFULLY I HAVE YET TO HIT ONE. IT WOULD SEEM TO ME THAT THIS PROBLEM IS GIVEN VERY LITTLE ATTENTION BY GM.

I STOPPED TO FILL MY CAR WITH GAS AS I WAS ON A LITTLE LESS THAN A QUARTER OF A TANK. THE FUEL LIGHT HAD NOT COME ON, NOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. AFTER FILLING THE TANK UP ALL THE WAY WITH FUEL, I GOT IN THE CAR AND THE FUEL LIGHT CAME ON, AND THE NEEDLE WOULDN'T LEAVE EMPTY. IT STAYED THIS WAY FOR ABOUT A MILE TILL I GOT HOME. I SHUT MY CAR OFF IN THE DRIVEWAY AND WAITED A FEW MINUTES THINKING THAT IT MUST PLAY "CATCH UP," BUT WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON, IT WENT TO FULL IMMEDIATELY, BUT THEN IMMEDIATELY WENT TO EMPTY WITH THE FUEL LIGHT ON. AS SOON AS THIS HAPPENED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL, AND GOES ON AND OFF, WHICH I SUSPECT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE SENSOR IN THE FUEL TANK. I GOOGLED THIS PROBLEM AND FOUND THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL SITES, WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS.
