WHILE TURNING MY VEHICLE THE STEERING WHEEL BECOMES VERY HARD AND SOMETIMES IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND THERE ARE NO LEAKS IN THE LINE. IT IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM.
HAD TWO TO THREE TIRES REPLACED DUE TO FLATS DONT REALLY KNOW WHAT CAUSED FLATS , TIRES CAN NEVER HOLD A PROPER INFLATION OF 35 PSI , SOME TIRES GO VERY LOW (27PSI )CAUSING PANIC TO MY WIFE AND FAMILY AS WE DRIVE VEHICLE . FLATS WERE NOTED WHILE DRIVING AS LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHTS CAME ON. I PUT 7/7/2018 ONLY TO ACCESS DATES COULD FOLLOW CHEVY SERVICE DEPT
I JUST BOUGHT MY 2015 TRAVERSE A WEEK AGO AND NOTICED THAT THE TIRES HAVE LARGE CRACKS IN THEM, MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 34,000 MILES ON IT AND THE TIRES ARE THE ONES PUT ON FROM THE FACTORY, I'VE LOOKED FOR RECALLS, AND THERE IS ONE OUT FOR THE TIRES, BUT NOT FOR MY SPECIFIC VIN. THE TIRES ARE DOING THE EXACT SAME WAY AS THE RECALL.
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND IT WAS A FACTORY PLUG THAT ISN'T MAKING A GOOD CONNECTION I HAD TO PAY A CHEVY GARAGE TO SOLDIER ITS A FACTORY SERVICE BULLETIN
2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO ENGINE STALLING WHILE DRIVING. *LD *TR
ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND DOES NOT WANT TO START WHEN I FILL UP THE TANK
I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE A LITTLE OVER 38 MONTHS. THE PROBLEM BEGAN ON 6-13-2018 WHILE I WAS STOPPED AT THE END OF MY DRIVEWAY. WHEN I SHIFTED OUT OF PARK THERE WERE CLICKING NOISES IN THE DASH. THIS HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHO STATED IT WAS A SOLENOID THAT NEEDED REPLACING IN THE DASH. IT WAS REPLACED, BUT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THERE ARE TWO OF THESE SOLENOIDS SO THEY ORDERED THE OTHER ONE AND THAT WASN'T THE PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THE "HOUSING" FOR ONE OF THESE SOLENOIDS NEEDED REPLACING. THEY HAD TWO OTHER 2015 TRAVERSES AND BOTH OF THEM HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THE MECHANICS HAD NEVER HAD THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM BEFORE. I THINK THAT THE OWNERS OF THE OTHER TWO VEHICLES NEVER PAID ATTENTION TO THIS NOISE AND/OR THOUGHT IT WAS NORMAL. MY POINT IS THAT THIS SHOULD BE RESEARCHED TO SEE IF THESE SOLENOIDS/HOUSINGS ARE FAULTY. IF ONE FAILS THEN YOU CAN'T GET OUT OF PARK TO SHIFT. IF THEY ARE FAULTY, THEN WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION.
HVAC AC STOPPED WORKING AT 52,000 MILES STATIONARY AND IN MOTION ON STREET/HIGHWAY
MY AIRBAG LIGHT REMAINS ON AFTER HAVING IT FIXED. MY STABILITRAC AND TRACTION CONTROL COMES ON RANDOMLY AFTER HAVING IT FIXED TWICE. THEN BEING TOLD IT'S A SENSOR THAT MAKES IT COME ON, AND THEY ARE HAVING A HARD TO REPRODUCING THE ISSUE AT CHEVY SERVICE CENTER. IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO ACCELERATE AND MAKES TRUCK JERK. I HAVE TO PULL OVER LET THE CAR RESET, AND THEN START DRIVING AGAIN. DIFFERENT CONDITIONS, AND SPEEDS, EVER SINCE DECEMBER/JANUARY
CAR ENGINE SAYS CHECK ENGINE TURN OFF OIL PRESSURE IS LOW. IT ALSO READS SENSOR P011. WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. LOOK LIKE CHEVY ENGINES ARE NOT BUILT TO LAST POOR ENGINE. 2011 CHEVY TAHOE HAVE THE EXACT SAME THING... LOTS OF MECHANIC DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH THESE ENGINES BECAUSE IT'S DESIGNS ARE BAD AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. BAD MAKE WITH CHEVY COMPANY PERIOD...
VEHICLE DOESN'T TURN OFF WHEN KEY TURNED TO OFF POSITION AND REMOVED
AT 41,000 MILES MARCH 2018 AFTER GETTING GAS NOTICED VEHICLE STALLED AND WOULD TAKE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO CRANK
WHEN MY VEHICLE IS IN IDLE OR PARK THE FAN MAKES A TICKING NOISE. I TURN AC OR HEAT UP OR DOWN AND THE NOISE CONTINUES AT TIMES THE NOISE IS LOUDER. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER RIGHT AFTER I BOUGHT IT USED AND THEY TOLD ME I THINK IT WAS THE EVAPORATOR WAS EMPTY SO THEY REFILLED IT AFTER I PAID MY DEDUCTIBLE FOR WARRANTY. ABOUT A YA LATER I HEARD IT AGAIN I WENT TO A FRIENDS SHOP THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING HE FILLED IT AND IT'S BEEN ABOUT ANOTHER YEAR AND IT'S MAKING THE NOISE AGAIN AND IT'S THE SAME ISSUE. THIS HAPPENS MOSTLY WHILE DRIVING BUT YOU DO HEAR IT WHILE IT IS IN MOTION. I LOOKED THIS ISSUE UP AND IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY BIG ISSUE WITH THIS. MY WARRANTY IS NO LONGER VALID NOW AND I FEEL THIS ISSUE IS SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AND A RECALL SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO. WHAT OTHER ISSUES IS THIS CAUSING TO MY VEHICLE.
THE LIFTGATE IS CLOSING AUTONOMOUSLY, WITHOUT ANY OF THE BUTTONS ON THE LIFTGATE, KEY FOB, OR CONSOLE BEING PUSHED. IT HAS DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES NOW, STARTING THIS MORNING, FEB 14, 2018. TWICE IT ALMOST HIT SOMEONE ON THE HEAD WHEN PLACING ITEMS INTO OR REMOVING ITEMS FROM THE REAR STORAGE AREA. THE VEHICLE IS PARKED AND STATIONARY.
AIRBAGS LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON . PROBLEM WITH TERRING WHEEL TOO HARD TO TURN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG HARNESS WIRE BECAME LOOSE, WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. ALSO, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COLEMAN CHEVROLET (510 ADDISON ST, NEW BOSTON, TX 75570, (903) 628-6553) WHERE THE MECHANICS REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,500. *DT DESCRIPTION IS INCORRECT AND HAS BEEN CORRECTED.*JB
I COME TO A STOP THEN MY SUV STARTS TO SHAKE THEN TURNS OFF AS I AM AT A LIGHT OR ABOUT TO TURN AT A STOP. WHEN I PUSH AN THE GAS PEDAL THE WHOLE SUV SHAKES AND SOMETIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON RIGHT BEFORE THE WHOLE CAR JUST TURN OFF WHEN I COME TO A STOP. I'VE HAD ALL 4 CO2 SENSORS CHANGED. EVERYTHING THE DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD ME TO FIX I HAVE PAID TO HAVE DONE ON MY CAR. AND YET MY PROBLEM IS THE SAME THING FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. I COULDN'T RETURN IT BECAUSE I WAITED TO LONG AFTER MY WARRANTY. NOW I AM TOLD TO KEEP PAYING FOR SERVICES I HAVE ALREADY PAID TO HAVE DONE. EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENS TO BE THE SAME THING THE SYSTEM IS SHOWING UP ON THE COMPUTER. I HAVE A LEMON ON MY HANDS AND NEED HELP FIGURING OUT WHAT CAN BE DONE TO FIX THIS.
DASHBOARD DISPLAYS "SERVICE AIRBAG" RANDOMLY AND INTERMITTENTLY. I LOOKED UP SPECIAL COVERAGE 15804 AND BROUGHT VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED. MY VIN DOESN'T HAVE THE SPECIAL COVERAGE BUT THE DIAGNOSTICS ARE THE SAME AS DESCRIBED. DEALERSHIP AGREED TO OBTAIN DIC CODE WHICH IS B0014. THIS CODE IS INCLUDED IN SPECIAL COVERAGE 15804 BUT MY VIN HASN'T BEEN INCLUDED. THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS COME ON WHILE DRIVING AND UPON IGNITION.
I WAS ORIGINALLY IN A PARKING LOT, STOPPED COMPLETELY, THEN PROCEEDED TO GENTLY TURN LEFT IN TO A PARKING SPACE. I BARELY PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL AND THE CAR REVVED UP AND TOOK OFF FULL SPEED AHEAD MAKING ME CRASH IN TO A HILL. THE HILL IS A SMALL LANDSCAPE SPACE THAT DIVIDES THE PARKING LOT AND A BUSY 6 LANE STREET. THE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS DAMAGED. I WAS COMPLETELY SHOCKED YET THANKFUL THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN AN INTERSECTION OR IN TRAFFIC. I HAD THE CAR IMMEDIATELY TOWED TO A CHEVY DEALERSHIP SO THEY CAN ASSESS THE ISSUE AND I DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING STARTING IT UP AND DRIVING AGAIN. I TOWED IT TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP I HAD JUST LEFT FROM AS THIS SAME DAY THEY HAD COMPLETED A REPAIR ON THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM. I FILED A CLAIM WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY. I'M STILL WAITING TO FOR THE VEHICLE INSPECTION REPORT DETAILS.
RADIATOR RUNNING HOT IN MOTION WHILE VEHICLE WAS ON STREET AT THE TIME 38,000 MILES DURING THANKSGIVING HOLIDAYS 2017
HAVE A 2015, TRAVERSE, WITH SAME PROBLEM THAT WAS RECALLED IN EARLIER MODELS. I THOUGHT AFTER A RECALL, THAT THE PROBLEM WOULD BE ADDRESSED. THE LIFT GATE ON MY DAUGHTER'S VEHICLE HIT MY HEAD AND CONTINUED TO CLOSE ON ME. I DIDN'T ATTEMPT IT, BUT IT SEEMED AS IF IT WOULD HAVE CLOSED ON ME. I WAS ATTEMPTING TO GET A FOLDING CHAIR FROM CARGO AREA, WHILE SHE WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED REDUCED ENGINE POWER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER IN SOMERVILLE, SC, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.
MY TIRES CAME WITH MY BRAND NEW CAR IN 2015. IT IS 2017 AND THEY HAVE 30,000 MILES ON THEM. ALL 4 OF MY TIRES HAD LARGE CRACKS IN THE INNER SIDE OF MY TIRES. ALSO, THESE TIRES WORE UNEVENLY. I HAVE HAD TIRE ROTATIONS EVERY BALANCES WITH EVERY ON TIME SCHEDULED OIL CHANGES. AS WELL AS HAD A FEW ALIGNMENT IN THE PAST TWO YEARS TO ENSURE I DID EVERYTHING RIGHT BY THESE TIRES. I WENT IN THURSDAY OCTOBER 19TH TO GET A POSSIBLE LEAK CHECKED. THE TIRE PLACE SAID I WAS DUE FOR 4 NEW TIRES FOR WEAR AND CRACKS. I WAS LIKE, WHAT? MY CAR IS TOO NEW FOR NEW TIRES AND LOW MILAGE ON THE TIRES. THIS POSED A TIRE BLOW OUT THREAT AND POTENTIAL THREAT TO MY LIFE AND MY FAMILY. I HAVE KEPT MY TIRES TO SUBMIT AS PROOF. THE PICTURE DOES DO ITS JUSTICE AS THE CRACKS WERE FAR BIGGER AND MORE APPARENT WHEN THEY WERE ACTUALLY ON MY CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOU BACHRODT CHEVROLET (7070 CHERRYVALE N BLVD, ROCKFORD, IL 61112, PHONE NUMBER: (815) 332-3000) WHERE IT WAS MISDIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HARMONIC BALANCER FAILED AND CAUSED THE ENGINE TO SPARK. THE HARMONIC BALANCER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS RE-DIAGNOSED THAT THE HARMONIC BALANCER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 83298884002 AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO FOLLOW-UP WITH THE BBB. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,870.
THIS COMPLAINT INVOLVES THE BRITAX B SAFE 35 ELITE INFANT CAR SEAT AND THE RED RELEASE BUTTON FOUND ON TOP OF THE SEAT WHERE AN INFANT'S FEET/LEGS REST. MY DAUGHTER JUST TURNED 1 A FEW WEEKS AGO AND IS ABLE TO RELEASE THE STRAPS IN THIS CAR SEAT HERSELF. SHE RESTS HER FEET ON THE RED BUTTON AND WITH THE ROAD MOVEMENT OF THE CAR AND HER WIGGLING AROUND, SHE IS ABLE TO LOOSEN THE SEAT ENOUGH TO GET HER ARM OUT OF THE STRAP. IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH FORCE WHATSOEVER TO PUSH DOWN ON THE BUTTON TO CAUSE THE STRAPS TO LOOSEN. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME SHE HAS LOOSENED HERSELF FROM THIS SEAT. THE BUTTON IS FULLY EXPOSED WITH NO COVERING IN AN AREA THAT CHILDREN REST THEIR FEET. AFTER VISITING SEVERAL CAR SEAT RETAILERS, I NOTED THAT BRITAX B SAFE INFANT SEAT WAS THE ONLY CAR SEAT THAT DID NOT HAVE A COVERING OVER THE RELEASE BUTTON. I HAVE PHOTOS OF THOSE CAR SEATS IF NEEDED. EVEN BRITAX'S OWN CONVERTIBLE SEATS AT LEAST HAVE A LIP OVER THE BUTTON TO PREVENT CHILDREN FROM RELEASING IT. EVERY SINGLE CAR SEAT I CAME ACROSS EITHER HAD THE RELEASE BUTTON UNDER THE PADDING, HAD A PLASTIC LIP THAT EXTENDED OVER THE BUTTON, OR WAS POSITIONED IN A WAY THAT A CHILD COULD NOT RELEASE IT (MUCH LESS AN INFANT). THIS CLEARLY SEEMS TO BE A DESIGN AND SAFETY FEATURE THAT WAS OVERLOOKED BY BRITAX. BRITAX CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME MY DAUGHTER WAS TOO TALL FOR THE SEAT YET SHE FALLS UNDER THE HEIGHT AND WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS OF 32 INCHES AND/OR 35 LBS. THIS IS MY 4TH BRITAX CAR SEAT PURCHASE AND I HAVE BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THEIR BRAND UP UNTIL NOW. THE 3 OTHER SEATS I OWN ALL HAVE THE RELEASE BUTTON UNDER THE SEAT PADDING WHERE AN INFANT/CHILD CANNOT EASILY GET TO IT. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING TO KNOW THAT MY DAUGHTER WAS NOT SAFE IN HER CAR SEAT AS I WAS DRIVING AROUND. WE HAVE SINCE DISCONTINUED USING THIS SEAT.

ON TWO OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LAKE COUNTRY BUICK GMC LOCATED AT 123 5TH ST NE, DEVILS LAKE, ND 58301, (701)401-2164 AND RYDELL CHEVROLET BUICK GMC CADILLAC, 2700 S WASHINGTON ST, GRAND FORKS, ND 58201, (701)772-7211, TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED OR INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,500.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS FUELED, IT FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT HAD TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL NUMEROUS TIMES IN ORDER TO START THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PURGE VALVE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COLLINS CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 2300 ROCKFORD ST, MT AIRY, NC 27030) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PURGE VALVE FAILED AND NEEDED TO REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY, AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. MY CAR HAS 46K MILES, SEVERAL TIMES NOW MY SERVICE STABILITRACK HAS CAME ON ALONG WITH SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL AND MY ENGINE LIGHT. IVE HAD THE ENGINE LIGHT READ AND IT READS P0700. I REPLACED THE BATTERY, CLEANED SENSORS, CLEANED THROTTLE BODY, CHECKED ELECTRICAL WIRING AND EVEN THE ALTERNATOR AND ITS STILL HAPPENING! SEVERAL TIMES I HAVE HAD MY 4 KIDS IN MY CAR WHEN THE CAR SAYS "REDUCED POWER" AND I ALMOST GET HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE AND IT WILL ONLY GO 15-20MPH. NOTHING HAS FIXED THIS PROBLEM AND I DONT WANT TO HAVE A WRECK OR GET HURT IN ORDER FOR IT TO GET FIXED!! PLEASE HELP!! THIS IS MY ONLY VEHICLE AND I BAUGHT THIS CAR BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE DEPENDABLE!
SEAT-BELTS: WHEN BUCKLE IT, THE HARD PART INJURES THE PASSENGER. DRIVER SEAT: PELLETS CAME OUT OF THE RAIL OF THE SEAT. DRIVER SEAT HEADREST: WHEN DRIVING, IF A PERSON HOLDS THE HEADREST AND PUSH IT, IT MOVES, MAKING THE DRIVER MOVE THE HEAD. THE HEADREST DO NOT HAVE A LOCK. ALL THESE ISSUES HAPPEN WHEN DRIVING IN THE STREET, HIGHWAY. THIS IS UNSAFE CONDITION FOR THE DRIVER AS WELL FOR THE PASSENGERS. I HOPE THIS ISSUES ARE RESOLVED BEFORE AN ACCIDENT OCCUR.
TL* THE CONTACT'S WIFE OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE EQUIPPED WITH GOODYEAR FORTERA HL (P) TIRES, SIZE: P225/65R18 (NA). WHILE DRIVING 80 MPH, THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE THEN SHUDDERED AND THE CONTACT FELT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE DROP AS THE VEHICLE SWERVED. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND SAW THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT. THE TIRES WERE THE ORIGINAL TIRES. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000.
RECENTLY LEASED VEHICLE IS A HAZARD! ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS WHEN DRIVING, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES, DECELERATES AND BRAKES ON ITS OWN. TRANSMISSION CAUGHT ON FIRE WITH NO PRIOR WARNING. THE VEHICLE BUCKS AND MAKES LOUD CLUNKING SOUNDS AS IF THE DIFFERENT SPEEDS COULD NOT KICK IN. THE CAR HAS NEVER GIVEN ANY WARNING ON THE DASHBOARD FOR ALL THE ISSUES IT PRESENTS. ELECTRICAL ISSUES: CAN NOT CHARGE PHONE ON IT. TAKEN VEHICLE TO THE MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP BUT THEIR REPORTS STATE NO CODES AVAILABLE FOR ANY POSSIBLE ISSUE. ONLY UNTIL THE CAR STARTED TO BURN AND SHOW SMOKE, DID THE MECHANICS ATTEMPT TO FIX IT. REPORT RETURNED SHOWS THAT THE TRANSMISSION CAUGHT ON FIRE WITH NO ROOT CAUSE FOUND, STEERING WHEEL AND ALIGNMENT WHERE NEEDED, SEVERAL PIECES KNOWN AS CLUTCHES/PATS HAD TO BE REPLACED. ALL THESE ISSUES PRESENTED DRIVING IN STREET TRAFFIC UNDER 40MPH AND IN SHORT DISTANCES.
THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT IN APRIL 2017, MAY 2017 DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT GOES OUT. VEHICLE IS ONLY TWO (2) YEAR OLD AND THE HEAD LIGHTS SHOULD NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED EVERY TWO YEARS. ON SEPT. 17 2016, WHILE DRIVING ALONG THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH, THE CAR'S ENGINE SLOWED DRAMATICALLY AND STABILITY TRACK, TRACTION CONTROL, AND SLOW ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS BEGAN TO FLASH. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I MANAGED TO GET THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE AND TURNED IT OFF. I CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE IMMEDIATELY AND THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME TO TURN OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL. THERE WAS A PUNGENT SMELL ALL INSIDE THE CAR OF GAS AND OTHER FUMES, BUT I DID NOT SEE ANY FLUIDS LEAKING FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME TO START THE CAR WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF. I ROLLED DOWN ALL OF THE WINDOWS TO LESSEN THE ODOR. THE CAR STARTED AS USUAL AND I STARTED BACK DOWN THE HIGHWAY. WITHIN 3 MILES THE CAR STOPPED AGAIN, THE SAME WARNING LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING. I HAD LOST SEVERAL GALLONS OF FUEL IN 3 MILES. I GOT THE CAR TO A PARKING LOT OFF THE INTERSTATE AND IT DIED AND WOULD NOT TURN BACK OVER. WHEN I TRIED TO GET IT TO START, THE IGNITION GOT STUCK AND WOULD NOT STOP TRYING TO TURN OVER. THE CAR WAS LOSING FUEL AND WOULD NOT RUN AT ALL. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS A FUEL PUMP ISSUE AND THEY REPLACED THE PART SEVERAL DAYS LATER. ON NOV. 11, 2016, AS I DROVE TO WORK THIS MORNING, I WAS AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN I PUSHED THE ACCELERATOR AND NOTHING HAPPENED. THE CAR BEGAN FLASHING THE EXACT SAME WARNING CODES AS IN SEPT. THE CAR WOULD GO ABOUT 5-10 MPH AND I WAS STRANDED IN A 6 LANE INTERSECTION. I TURNED OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL AND MANAGED TO GET THE CAR INTO A PARKING LOT, ONCE AGAIN. I AM VERY LUCKY THAT I HAVE NOT HAD A SEVERE ACCIDENT WHEN THIS HAS OCCURRED. SOMEONE IS EVENTUALLY GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED WHEN THIS HAPPENS. DRIVING MY 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE ON AN EXPRESSWAY AT 65 TO 70 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SLOW DOWN EVEN WHEN PRESSING ON THE ACCELERATOR. THE SPEED CONTINUED DECREASING WHEN WE NOTICED THAT THE RADIO HAD ALSO SHUT DOWN. FORTUNATELY WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE OUR WAY TO THE BREAKDOWN LANE WITHOUT ANY MISHAP. THAT'S WHEN WE NOTICE THE ENGINE WAS ALSO COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. WE WERE FORTUNATE THAT WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OVER WITHOUT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. WE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM AND WAS PUZZLED THAT THEY WERE NOT TOO CONCERNED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. MY WIFE IS NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE NOTICED THAT COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN REPORTING A SIMILAR PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY PROVIDED ME WITH A LOANER IN THE MEANTIME. I WAS TOLD THAT MOST LIKELY THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIND ANY PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. THIS IS NOT MUCH CONSOLATION, TO US WHEN WE WILL BE RETURNING TO FLORIDA IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND WONDER WHETHER THIS PROBLEM WILL OCCUR AGAIN WHEN WE ARE ON EXPRESSWAYS WITH FIVE TO SIX LANES, ALL GOING 70 MPH OR MORE AND WITH LITTLE ROOM TO GET OUT OF THE WAY TO SAFETY. LOOKING AT OTHER SIMILAR ISSUES, WHAT IS MENTIONED AS THE PROBLEM COULD BE THE SWITCH, THE BATTERY OR THE ALTERNATOR, OR WIRING TO ALL THESE COMPONENTS. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS ISSUE CANNOT BE DIAGNOSED AND REMEDIED IMMEDIATELY BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT.
MY WIFE AND I WERE DRIVING OUR 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE ON THE INTERSTATE TRAVELING AT 80MPH. WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR THE ACCELERATOR STAYED IN THE DOWN POSITION AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE. WE WERE UP TO 90 MPH. I PUT MY FEET ON THE BRAKES AND WAS ABLE TO SLOW THE VEHICLE TO 70MPH. THE ACCELERATOR WAS STILL STUCK IN THE FLOORED POSITION AND FIGHTING THE BRAKES. I WAS ABLE TO MANIPULATE MY FOOT BEHIND THE ACCELERATOR AND AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO PULL THE ACCELERATOR UP IT RELEASED. THERE WAS A LOUD CLUNK AND WE WERE ABLE TO PULL THE CAR OFF THE INTERSTATE. WHEN THE CAR WAS PLACED IN PARK, ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS WENT ON AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WOULD NO LONGER START. CHEVROLET TOWED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THE ACCELERATOR SENSOR AND MODULE WENT 'BAD' PER THE DEALER. THE SENSOR MALFUNCTION CAUSED THE ACCELERATOR TO STICK PER THE DEALERSHIP.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40 MPH ON SECONDARY ROADWAY AND THE CAR SUDDENLY DECELERATED WITH THE DASH CLUSTER INDICATING THAT THE STABILTRAK SYSTEM WAS OFF AND ENGINE POWER REDUCED. OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE MID 30'S AND THERE WAS PRECIPITATION ON THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 25MPH. THIS HAPPENED AFTER A LONG HIGHWAY RUN FROM NYC TO CLEVELAND. I WAS LUCKY I WAS NOT DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DEALERSHIP IN A COUPLE OF DAYS BUT I SEE SIMILAR POSTS AND I'M NOT SURE THIS CAR IS SAFE.
TAKATA RECALL, THE AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON AS SERVICE AIR BAG IN MY INSTRUMENT PANEL. HAPPENED AGAIN LAST NIGHT. VERY SEVERE SHAKING AND SURGING AND WE'VE HAD COUPLES IN THE CAR WITH US WHEN IT HAPPENS.. . TIRE LOST AIR PRESSURE AND LOST TREAD. TIRE WAS INSPECTED BY GM DEALERSHIP, WHICH COULD NOT LOCATE ISSUE. 5 DAYS LATER, THE TIRE WAS SHREDDING AND WE HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW TIRE.
PLEASE ENACT LAWS THAT PROHIBIT REVERSE LIGHTS FROM ILLUMINATING WHEN THE VEHICLE IS NOT IN REVERSE! THE REVERSE LIGHTS ARE TO LET OTHER DRIVERS AND PEDESTRIANS KNOW THAT THE CAR IS IN THE REVERSE GEAR AND MAY BACK UP. FOR SOME REASON GM VEHICLES USE REVERSE LIGHTS WHEN IN PARK, CONFUSING EVERYONE ABOUND THE CAR.

I REPEATED THIS FAILURE SEVERAL TIMES AND RECORDED IT ON VIDEO. IT APPEARED AS IF THE RECEPTOR RELEASE MECHANISM WAS JAMMED AND WOULD NOT RELEASE FULLY TO THE TOP WHEN PRESSED.
