MY CARS HEATER CORE WAS PLUGGED. WHEN WE WENT TO HAVE IT FIXED WE WERE TOLD THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE CHRYSLER 200. WE HAD IT FIXED IN FEBRUARY 2016 FOR $800. NOW IN NOVEMBER 2016 IT IS PLUGGED AGAIN!
HEATER BLOWS OUT COLD AIR I HAVE NO HEAT I CANT DEFROST CAR WINDOWS TO SEE .THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 2016 JAN I HAVE REPLACED ACTUVATOR BLENDOOR 3 TIMES ....THERMOSTAT 2 OF THEM... FLUSHED THE HEATER CORE .....FOUND OUT I HAVE A SLUDGE OR BLOCKAGE IN MY RADIATOR AND HEATERCORE PLUS NEED RADIATOR CAP 2500 TO FIX ? ITS A 20

MY CARS A/C HEATER BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR HAS GONE OUT. UPON MY RESEARCH I SEE THERE ARE NUMEROUS CHRYSLER 200 OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING GM RECALLED THE SAME PART FROM THE SAME MANUFACTURER. SHOULDN'T CHRYSLER RECALL THE PART AS WELL? THE PROBLEM IS PERSISTENT IN THE PART CONTINUALLY CLICKS, COLD AIR RUNNING THROUGH THE VENTS WHEN THE HEATER IS ON.

I BOUGHT MY 2012 CHRYSLER 200 NEW. NOW HAVING HEATING ISSUE, HOT AIR ON THE DRIVER SIDE COLD AIR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I LIVE IN A NORTHEAST AND IT'S VERY COLD. I CAN'T GET THE CAR WARM ENOUGH FOR WINDSHIELD TO HEAT ON BOTH SIDES SO THAT IT DOESN'T ICE UP. THIS COULD BECOME A POTENTIAL HAZARD WHEN YOUR VISION IS RESTRICTED BECAUSE YOU CANT DEFROST YOUR WINDSHIELD DUE TO A DESIGN FLAW IN THE HEATER SYSTEM THAT CHRYSLER DOESN'T WANT TO HAVE TO REPAIR. ALSO MY KIDS ARE FREEZING IN THE BACK SEAT. HOW MANY HAVE TO BE INJURED OR KILLED FROM THIS DESIGN ISSUE AND OR TO HAVE A FACTORY RECALL DONE? OR KIDS WITH HYPOTHERMIA?
I OWN A 2012 CHRYSLER 200, THE ENGINE STOPS/FAILS ABOUT EVERY TWO MONTHS WHILE BRAKING OR WHILE STOPPED. THIS IS DANGEROUS AS IT CAN STOP ANYWHERE AND THEY MIGHT REAR END THE CAR OR SOMETHING. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP 4 DIFFERENT TIMES WITH THE SAME ISSUE, THE FIRST TIME THEY CHANGED THE PCM. AFTER ABOUT 2 MONTHS THE CAR'S ENGINE STOPPED WHILE BRAKING OR WHILE AT A STOPLIGHT. THE 2ND AND 3RD TIME I TOOK THE CAR THEY DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR AND GAVE IT TO ME AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS. THE 4TH TIME WHEN I TOOK THE CAR THEY SAID THAT IT WAS THE BATTERY AND THEY PUT IN A NEW BATTERY. WELL ABOUT 2 DAYS AGO THE CAR STOPPED AGAIN WHILE AT A STOPLIGHT. I HAVE NOT TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AS THEY NEVER FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. I AM TIRED OF THEM NOT FINDING WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR. I BELIEVE THAT I SPEAK FOR MANY CHRYSLER 200 OWNERS WHEN I SAY THAT AN INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR THE WHOLE CHRYSLER GROUP, ESPECIALLY TO THE 200, WHICH HAVE MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE AND NONE ONE SEEMS TO FIND THE SOLUTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLIGHT MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE LED LIGHT BULB WAS NOT REPLACEABLE BY ITSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
ORIGINAL OWNER SINCE 6.28.12 MILEAGE CURRENTLY 41,145 AS OF 12.21.15. SEAT BELT FRONT, DRIVER'S SIDE SLACKENED AND NO LONGER RESTRAINS DRIVER. BELT WILL NOT "LOCK" WHEN VEHICLE IS IN GEAR. ALSO DOES NOT RETRACT ANY LONGER, THUS MAKING IT NON-FUNCTIONAL. DEALER SAYS IT WILL NOT REPAIR THIS SAFETY ISSUE, SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED 41 MONTHS AGO AND HAS 5,100 MILES BEYOND STANDARD WARRANTY. AS REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT, AND RESEARCH ON INTERNET STATES, IT SEEMS THIS SHOULD BE COVERED FOR TEN YEARS, 100K MILES.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE AND THE RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WHILE ACCELERATING AFTER CROSSING A BUSY STATE HIGHWAY THE CAR "JERKED" AND THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON. ( PRIOR TO THIS I WAS IDLING AT A STOP SIGN AND I PROCEEDED STRAIGHT ACROSS THE ROAD. ) I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF IMMEDIATELY MOVING TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHEN THE CAR LOST ALL POWER AND SHUT ITSELF OFF. I DID NOT INITIALLY TRY TO RESTART THE CAR BUT ONCE I RETURNED TO IT IN A COUPLE OF HOURS I WAS ABLE TO START THE ENGINE. THE INDICATOR LIGHT REMAINED ON. I DID NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE BUT HAD IT TOWED TO A SERVICE STATION. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 80.000 MILES.

MY CAR HEATING SYSTEM ONLY HEAT HALF OF THE CAR AND YOU CAN SMELL ANTIFREEZE COMING THROUGH THE VENTS. THE PASSENGER FROM WINDOW HAS STOP WORKING, IT WILL COME DOWN BUT WANT GO UP. AND THE TWO WINDOWS IN THE BACK IS TRYING TO STOP WORKING. I JUST GOT THIS CAR ON 11/01/2015 WITH ONLY 32,000 MILES ON IT.

I PURCHASED MY 2012 CHRYSLER 200 IN 2013. AFTER DRIVING MY 200 FOR A COUPLE YEARS,I NOTICE IN THE WINTERTIME ,THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD WAS VERY SLOW TO DEFROST. FAST FORWARD TO 2017 I NOTICE THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS BLOWING COLD AIR,THE DRIVER SIDE WAS SLIGHTLY WARM.AFTER DOING A LITTLE RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THE CHRYSLER HAS PROBLEMS WITH 2012 MODEL HEATER CORES. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO RECALLED THIS MODEL YEAR DUE TO THE FACT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH HEAT TO DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
TRANSMISSION REBUILD AND THREE TORQUE CONVERTORS IN 6 MO HEATER WARM ON LEFT COOL ON RIGHT ENGINE STALLS ON HIGHWAY HEAT WORKED WHEN TAKEN TO DRALER. THEY REPLACED SA CLICKING BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR IN THE MORNING THERE WAS WARM AIR ON THE LEFT AND COOL AIR ON THE RIGHT' DEALER SAYS NEED A HEATER CORE AND RADIATOR. THIS HAPPENED OVERNIGHT? RECALL ONAIRBAGS. NO AIRBAG LIGHT ON AT DEALER, THEY FLASHED THE TIPM AS PER RECALL, NOW AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON CODE READS REPLACE OCCUPANT CONTROLE MODULE. THEY CLAIM THIS NOT ON THE RECALL,11V315000
2012 CHRSLER 200. AT29509 MILES CAR TAKEN IN FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND LEAKS. TORQUE CONVERTOR REPLACED. WHILE THERE DEALER ADDRESSED RECAL N38. REPROGRAMED TPM. 1MAY2015 11NOV 2015 CAR WAS TAKEN IN BECAUSE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT. WHILE THERE AIR BAG LIGHT DEPLOYED. CODE READS OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE. DEALER REFUSES TO REPLACE UNDER RECALL. MILEAGE52819. CAR WILL BE IN BACK FOR SERVICE TODAY. AFTER REPLACING TORQUE CONVERTOR AND TRANSMISSION AGAIN IT WENT THREE MILES AND WOULDNT SHIFT CORRECTLY AND AGAIN STALLED ON HIGHWAY. CURRENT ISSUE: REPLACE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT MODULE UNDER RECALL38.
SUDDENLY AND WITH OUT WARNING, WHILE DRIVING IN LIGHT RAIN CONDITIONS, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED TO OPERATE ON ANY SPEED SETTING BUT HIGH. THEY ALSO WOULD NOT PARK WHEN SHUT OFF, WHICH NECESSITATED TIMING THE SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AT A LOCAL DEALER AS NEEDING A NEW TIPM. TOTAL COST $1638.50.
I PURCHASED A 2012 CHRYSLER 200 FROM CARMAX LOCATED IN MEMPHIS TENNESSE BACK IN JULY 6, 2015. AFTER A FEW DAYS OF PURCHASE I NOTICED THE BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I TOOK THE CAR BACK IN IMMEDIATELY FOR SERVICE AND THE SERVICE MANAGER ADVISED IT WAS JUST A SMALL PROBLEM AND ASSURED ME THAT IT WAS FIXED. IN AUGUST I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND TOOK IT BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ( PLEASE BE ADVISED I AM EMPLOYED AND I HAVE TO DRIVE FROM PINE BLUFF TO MEMPHIS) AT THAT TIME THE SERVICE MANAGER ADVISED THAT IT WAS SOME KIND OF FLUID AND THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. THIS WAS ALL DONE DURING THE FACTORY WARRANTY. ON NOVEMBER 8, 2015 MY BRAKES BEGAN TO DRAG AND WAS BARELY STOPPING I TOOK IT BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND DEMANDED FOR THE PROBLEM TO BE FIXED BACK TO FACTORY PROFECTION. MR. JOE BROWN ADVISED THAT IT WOULD BE COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY BUT I ADVISED THAT THE CAR WAS NEVER REPAIRED CORRECTLY UNDER FACTORY WARRENTY. I HAD TO PAY A 50.00 DOLLAR DEDUCTIBLE AND FIFTY TOWARDS A RENTAL CAR DEPOSIT. I WAS CALLED ON 11/13/2015 AND ADIVSED THAT MY CAR WAS READY. I COULDN'T PICK THE CAR UP UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING 11/14/2015. WHEN I CAME TO RETREVE MY CAR MY CAR WAS JUST SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT AND NO SERVICE WORKER WAS THERE TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH ME TO ENSURE THAT IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY. IN CONCLUSION MY BRAKES ARE STILL NOT WORKING AND IT COULD HAVE CAUSED ME MY LIFE ON THIS MORNING 11/17/2015. THE BRAKES ARE WORSE. I AM IN TEARS BECAUSE I AM A RECENT GRADUATE AND I AM WORKING TO PAY BILLS AND STUDENT LOANS. DEAR SIR/ MADAM: 11-08-15 A FIRE OCCURRED AT MY HOUSE WHICH WAS LOCATED AT [XXX], ON THE ABOVE DATE, I PARKED MY 2012 CHRYSLER 200 IN THE GARAGE AND WENT TO BED. APPROXIMATELY 45 MINUTES TO 1 HOUR AFTER RETIRING, I WAS AWAKENED BY A LOUD EXPLOSION AND MY NEIGHBORS BEATING ON MY FRONT DOOR TO AWAKEN ME AND MY 21 YEAR OLD GRANDSON. HE ALSO WAS SLEEPING IN ANOTHER BEDROOM. WHEN BOTH OF US ATTEMPTED TO ESCAPE FROM THE HOUSE THROUGH THE KITCHEN/GARAGE ENTRANCE, WE WERE MET MY HEAVY BELLOWING GREY AND BLACK SMOKE THAT PREVENTED OUR EXIT AND ALMOST OVERWHELMED US. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE MALFUNCTIONED, THE SEAT BELT WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, AND THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. I HAD THE TRANSMISSION REBUILT BY CHRYSLER 2014, IT HAS BEEN BACK TO CHRYSLER TWICE SINCE THEN AND THEY SAY NOTHING IS WRONG. IT IS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AGAIN. THE CAR ALSO HAS SOME ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ISSUES, THE RADIO WILL JUST STOP WORKING AND THE LIGHTS WILL DIM.

ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2015, IN THE MORNING AT 7;30AM, HEADING TO WORK. HEADING TOWARDS THE PA TURNPIKE. MY CHRYSLER 2012, HARD-TOP CONVERTER CAR ENGINE SHUTS DOWN/ STALLED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. LAST YEAR, IT HAPPEND IN FLORIDA AS WELL. I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER IN FLORIDA, AND THEY DID NOT FIND A CAUSE. IN BOTH INSTANCES, I HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT. I'M CONCERN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN WHILE DRIVING THIS CAR BOTH ON THE LOCAL ROADS; AS WELL AS, THE HIGHWAYS. I MOSTLY USED THE PA TURNPIKE TO GET TO WORK EVERY MORNINGS. THE OTHER COMPLAINT I HAVE AS WELL IS IN THE CHANGING OF THE GEAR STICK (FROM PARK TO DRIVE, AND VICE VERSA). AT TIMES, IT IS SEEMS TO BE DIFFICULT TO CHANGE GEAR. THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DRIVE SYSTEM SO IT SHOULD NOT BE SO HARD IN CHANGING GEARS.

CAR DIES FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND DURING ANY TYPE DRIVING. OF COURSE, WHEN MOTOR DIES POWER STEERING IS LOST. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IN THE HEAVY AUSTIN TRAFFIC THAT I DRIVE IN. MAY JUST SHUT DOWN ON A MAJOR OVERPASS WITH NO WHERE TO GO. THIS VEHICLE PUTS MY LIFE AND FAMILIES LIFE IN DANGER. THIS SHUT DOWN CAN HAPPEN AT 10 MPH OR AT 60 MPH OR ABOVE. I TRY TO BYPASS MAJOR HIGHWAYS IN AUSTIN EVEN THOUGH IT MAY BE SEVERAL MILES OUT OF THE WAY, AND SO FAR HAVE BEEN ABLE TO AVOID ANY PROBLEMS. IT SEEMS RIDICULOUS TO HAVE TO TRAVEL LIKE THIS. WHILE DRIVING THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS BEGAN TO FAIL. RADIO, ABS SYSTEM, WINDOWS AND AC ALL SHUT OFF. THE CAR FAILED TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY AND ENGINE WOULD NOT SHIFT GEARS. BRAKING AND STEERING SYSTEMS BECAME COMPROMISED BEFORE CAR COMPLETELY STALLED AND COASTED TO STOP ON SIDE OF ROAD. APPROXIMATELY 2-3 MINUTES FROM BATTERY LIGHT GOING ON TO THE CAR BECOMING TOTALLY NONRESPONSIVE. CAR WOULD NOT START, UNLESS JUMPED. REQUIRED TOW. DEALERSHIP STATES THE ISSUE WAS AN ALTERNATOR THAT SHORTED, AND IN TURN BURNED OUT THE BATTERY. REQUIRED THE REPLACEMENT OF BOTH THE ALTERNATOR AND THE BATTERY AT A COST OF APPROXIMATELY $1100.00 (BEFORE NEGOTIATED DISCOUNT OF 10%).
WHILE I WAS TAKING OFF TO DRIVE MY CAR, THE CAR SHUT DOWN. ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON, THEN EVERYTHING SHUT DOWN. THE CAR STARTED, BUT I COULD NOT DRIVE MY CAR. I HAD TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED. I WAS TOLD THAT THE ALTERNATOR WENT OUT. THIS HAPPENED IN SEPTEMBER 2015. I WAS AT A RESTAURANT, LEAVING TO GO HOME. I PAID 415.45 FOR A NEW ALTERNATOR.
CRUISE CONTROL HAS A SHORT. IF I HIT THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG IT WILL EVENTUALLY TURN ON THE CRUISE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION AND USUALLY WHEN I AM TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY WHICH MAKES IT DANGEROUSLY DISTRACTING. THE CAR ONLY HAS 13,000 MILES ON IT. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON ABOUT ONE YEAR.

WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR BEGAN TO RAPIDLY LOSE FUNCTIONALITY WHILE WARNING LIGHTS WERE APPEARING ON THE DASHBOARD UNTIL IT ABRUPTLY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC. THE TIME FROM NO WARNING LIGHTS TO COMPLETE LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY WAS APPROXIMATELY 10-15 SECONDS. THE SHUT DOWN INCLUDED AN ABRUPT LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKING CAPABILITIES WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY STREET AT NIGHT. I WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY COMPENSATE FOR THE LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKING AND STOP THE VEHICLE WHILE AVOIDING A CRASH, BUT JUST BARELY. THANKFULLY, I BROKE DOWN NEXT TO TWO POLICE OFFICERS WHO HELPED PUSH MY VEHICLE ONTO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THESE OFFICERS MAY BE ABLE TO ATTEST TO THE FACT THAT NO NOISES OR ABNORMAL OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE WAS APPARENT BEFORE THE ABRUPT SHUT-OFF WHILE DRIVING. ATTEMPTS TO RESTART THE VEHICLE INVOLVED NO CLICKING OR THE ENGINE ATTEMPTING TO TURN OVER. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY BEING REPAIRED, BUT THE PRELIMINARY DIAGNOSIS IS ONE OF A FAULTY ALTERNATOR. I WILL ATTEMPT TO RETAIN THE FAULTY ALTERNATOR FROM THE REPAIR CENTER. I HAD ONLY STARTED THE CAR 2-3 MINUTES BEFORE THE INCIDENT AND THERE WERE NO APPARENT ELECTRICAL ISSUES (ENGINE STRUGGLING TO START, LIGHTS DIMMING, ETC.) WHILE STARTING THE CAR OR DURING OPERATION.

THE SUSPENSION WAS SEVERELY DAMAGE, IT WAS SO SEVERE THAT WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO CHRYSLER, I SPEND MONEY THERE TO GET THE PROBLEMS REPAIRED. BECAUSE VAN HORN WOULDN'T PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. MY TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AND NOT PERFORMING THE WAY IT SHOULD. SOMETIMES MY CAR SHIFTS HARD AND SOMETIMES IT WON'T SHIFT OUT UNTIL IT REACHES 5 OR 6000 RPMS WHICH IS ALMOST IN THE RED ZONE. WHEN GOING UP A HILL OR INCLINE IT HESITATES AND JERKS. I CALLED SEVERAL DEALERSHIPS ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THERE WERE MULTIPLE CARS AHEAD OF MINE THAT WERE JUST SITTING THERE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE WAITING ON A CALL FROM CORPORATE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. TO THIS DAY IT HAS NOT HAPPENED. ALSO, MY AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR ALMOST FOUR MONTHS NOW. THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE A FIX FOR IT YET. JUST RECENTLY THERE IS A KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD. AN ONGOING PROBLEM HAS BEEN THE NOISE FROM THE FRONT BRAKES WHEN I AM BACKING UP. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO FIX YET FOR THAT PROBLEM. AS OF THIS DAY, THERE STILL IS NO FIX FOR IT. I AM STILL DRIVING MY CAR BECAUSE I CAN'T JUST LEAVE IT TO SIT AT THE DEALERSHIP WAITING ON REPAIRS. AS YOU ALL KNOW, THEY DO NOT GIVE OUT LOANER VEHICLES ANY MORE AT LEAST NOT IN ARKANSAS.
