I HAVE A 2015 CHRYSLER 200 THAT HAS BEEN HAVING SOME ISSUE WITH THE DASH LIGHTS FLICKERING AND NOW THE LIGHTS ARE GOING COMPLETELY OUT. I THOUGHT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS THE ONLY FEATURE AFFECTED UNTIL TODAY ON MY WAY TO WORK THE HEADLIGHTS COMPLETELY WENT OUT AS WELL CREATING A VERY BAD SITUATION ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS UNABLE TO SEE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD FOR A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME. I JUST CHECK IT FOR RECALLS BUT DID NOT FIND MY VEHICLE HOWEVER THERE ARE OTHER EARLIER MODELS THAT APPEAR TO BE HAVING A SIMILAR ISSUE THAT WERE COVERED BY RECALL IS THERE ANY WAY THAT A RECALL MAY BE ARRIVING ON THIS VEHICLE? I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON SHORTLY BEFORE ALL OF THIS STARTED AS WELL AS A CODE WAS TRIPPED FOR FAULTY COOLANT SENSOR AS WELL. ALL MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP HAS BEEN DONE ON THIS VEHICLE INCLUDING TIRES PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACED AND ROUTINE OIL CHANGE AS WELL.
CAR STALLS WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND CITY STREETS RPM RANGES ALL THE WAY TO 9 RPM THEN SUDDENLY GOES TO 2RPM WHILE DRIVING CAR ALSO GOES TO NEUTRAL INDEPENDENTLY, DASH LIGHTS INDICATE SERVICE PARK BRAKE, SERVICE TRANSMISSION, SERVICE ABS, CAR REVS IN PARK POSITION AS IF ACCELERATOR IS DEPRESSED WHEN STARTING, DRIVER SIDE WINDOW INTERMITTENTLY WORKS WHILE DRIVING
THE CAR STATES THAT THE AIRBAGS NEED TO BE SERVICED. I HAVE HAD THIS CHECKED OUT BEFORE AND THE DEALERSHIP RESET THE SYSTEM, BUT THE WARNING KEEPS COMING BACK. ALSO, I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY TRANSMISSION. I HAVE HAD THIS CHECKED OUT BEFORE AND AND THE DEALERSHIP HOOKED IT UP TO THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM, BUT I HAVE BEEN HAVING CONSTANT ISSUES WITH THE TRANSITIONING OF THE GEARS. IT JUMPS ALOT AND RUNS ROUGH. MY CAR ALSO HAS BEEN STALLING IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND WHILE PARKED. JUST RECENTLY THE CAR ISN'T EVEN STARTING. IT TAKES AWHILE FOR IT TO START UP. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON TOO AND I RECEIVED A MESSAGE THAT STATES THAT I NEED TO SERVICE MY TRANSMISSION.
TAKATA RECALL I'M HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY 2015 CHRYSLER 200 I'M HEARING A RATTLING NOISE WHENEVER I GO OVER ANY TYPE OF BUMPS BIG OR SMALL. IT'S THE STRUTS & STRUT MOUNTS THEY ARE BAD, THE SWAY BAR LINKS ARE PRETTY BAD TOO AND I WANTED TO GET THEM REPLACED. BUT THE PROBLEM IS I CAN'T. I TOOK MY CAR TO A REPAIR SHOP AND I ALSO CALLED SOME PLACES THEY ALL SAID THERE'S NO STRUTS FOR THIS CAR ON THE MARKET. SO I CAN'T GET THIS PROBLEM FIX, I NEED HELP THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!
VEHICLE STUTTERS WHILE DRIVING CAME TO A RED LIGHT AND MY CAR ALMOST SHUT OFF WENT TO THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR LESS THAN A MONTH AGO AND THEY TRIED TELLING ME THIS IS NORMAL THIS IS A CONSTANT THING I HAVE 3 YOUNG CHILDREN AND IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE ,THIS IS NOT AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM
AFTER SHIFTING INTO REVERSE OR DRIVE, THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE, THEN SUDDENLY SLAMS INTO GEAR AND LUNGES ABRUPTLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND IT IS FRIGHTENING WHEN IN TRAFFIC. ALSO, AFTER SHIFTING INTO REVERSE OR DRIVE AND BEGINNING TO MOVE, THE CAR SUDDENLY JOLTS TO A STOP AND FEELS LIKE IT'S DIGGING IN, AND WILL NOT MOVE. IT THEN INDICATES THE PARKING BRAKE HAS BEEN ENGAGED WHEN I NEVER TOUCHED THE PARKING BRAKE. THIS HAS ALSO HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES AND IS ALSO FRIGHTENING WHEN MERGING INTO TRAFFIC. WHEN THE BRAKE SUDDENLY ENGAGES, ALL ON IT'S OWN ACCORD, IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET IT TO RELEASE.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR THIS WEEKEND WHEN THE SEAT BELT LIGHT CAME ON.. ON MARCH 21, 2018 I CALLED THE CHRYSLER DEALER NEAR ME AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. LATER THAT DAY THE SERVICE MAN CALLED AND SAID IT WAS THE AIR BAG ON THE PASSENGER SEAT AND BOTH HAD A SHORT WIRE HARNESS, THE COST WOULD BE ABOUT $1080.00 EACH WHICH I SPENT $127.00 TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. THAT HAS ALREADY COSTED ME $2500.00 TO REPAIR. I DID NOT HAVE IT REPAIRED BECAUSE I FEEL THIS IS A CHRYSLER SAFETY PROBLEM. AT THIS TIME OUR AIR BAGS DON'T WORK. WHICH IS A HUGE SAFETY PROBLEM. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR. THIS DEALER TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE HAD A NUMBER OF SERVICE CALLS OF THIS SAME PROBLEM. I ALSO CALLED TWO OTHER DEALER, AND THEY TOLD ME THEY HAVE HAD MANY ISSUES OF THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY ALL STOCK REPLACEMENT PARTS SO THIS MUST BE AN A SERIOUS ISSUE. THE DEALER CALLED OUR EXTENDED WARRANTY CO. AND IT WAS NOT COVERED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE JOLTED AND STALLED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD INDEPENDENTLY SHIFT INTO PARK AND THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JACKSONVILLE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (9600 ATLANTIC BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG HARNESS AND THE MULTI-AIR VALVE WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALER BEING REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OIL SENSOR AND POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER WERE PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED AT OTHER UNKNOWN DEALERS DUE TO THE VEHICLE STALLING, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 76,000.
SINCE THE FIRST DAY I BOUGHT THIS CAR I NOTICED THERE WAS A HARD JOLT WHEN IT SHIFTED GEARS. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP RIGHT AWAY AND THEY FOUND THAT IT NEEDED NEW TRANSMISSION MOUNTS. ONCE THEY FIXED IT AND I GOT THE CAR BACK, THE PROBLEM STILL CONTINUED. I TOOK IT BACK AGAIN AND THEY FOUND THAT THE CHIP NEEDED AN UPDATE SO THEY TOOK IT TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP FOR THE UPDATE AND FURTHER INSPECTION. WHEN I GOT THE CAR BACK THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIPS AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THIS MODEL YEAR CAR IS KNOWN FOR HAVING A ROUGH TRANSMISSION AND THAT I HAVE TO PRETTY MUCH DEAL WITH IT. THE JOLTING HAPPENS EVERY TIME I ACCELERATE AND IT'S PRETTY VIOLENT, IT DOESN'T FEEL SAFE. THE ROUGHEST JOLTING HAPPENS BETWEEN 2ND AND 3ED GEAR AND IT FEELS LIKE YOU'VE BEEN REAR-ENDED CAUSING YOU TO PUMP YOUR BREAKS. THE JOLTING CAN ALSO BE FELT WHEN YOU GO FROM PARK TO DRIVE, FROM DRIVE TO REVERSE AND REVERSE TO DRIVE OR PARK.
SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM MESSAGE APPEARED IN THE MESSAGE CENTER AND TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE CODE WAS FOR PASSENGER AIRBAG SQUIB CIRCUIT OPEN. SERVICE ADVISOR WENT UNDER MY PASSENGER SEAT AND SAID THE PLUG WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BUT IN THE MEANTIME PLAY WITH THE CONNECTOR AND IT WILL MAKE CONTACT AND GO OFF. I'VE SEARCHED ONLINE AND HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS OTHER INSTANCES OF THIS COMPLAINT AND EVEN VIDEOS SHOWING WHICH CONNECTORS UNDER THE SEATS TO PLAY WITH TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM THUS TURNING OFF THE LIGHT BUT IT IS ONLY TEMPORARY AND WILL ILLUMINATE AGAIN WITH FREQUENT VIBRATIONS FROM DRIVING. I CALLED CHRYSLER RECALL HOTLINE AND WAS TOLD NO RECALLS WERE IN EFFECT FOR THIS AND NO TSB EITHER WHICH I FIND ODD CONSIDERING THE DEALERSHIP EVEN KNEW ABOUT THE ISSUES AND STATED THAT IT IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE CARS.
2015 CHRYSLER 200. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE PASSENGER AND DRIVER WINDOW VISIBILITY PROBLEMS. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A FOG ON THE WINDOW THAT WAS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE. THE SIDE WINDOWS WERE ALSO DIFFICULT TO SEE OUT OF DUE TO THE FOG. THE REAR WINDSHIELD WAS DIFFICULT TO SEE OUT OF WHEN IT RAINED, THERE IS NO WAY TO WIPE IT. *JS
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT ABOUT 40 MPH AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE CAME ON ALL BY ITS SELF. I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND THE CAR SPUN IN A CIRCLE INTO THE OTHER LANE. THE CAR WAS THEN THROWN OFF THE ROAD INTO
ON THURSDAY 03/8/2018 AND SATURDAY 03/10/2018 WE STARTED OUR VEHICLE WITHOUT INCIDENT AND TRAVELED LESS THAN 1/4 OF A MILE DOWN OUR STREET WHEN A WARNING ALARM SOUNDED AND THE DASH BOARD READ SOMETHING LIKE, "PULL OVER AND PLACE VEHICLE IN PARK IN ORDER TO START." WHEN WE TRIED TO START (KEY-LESS CAR) IT WOULD NOT START RIGHT WAY AND MADE AN ALMOST GRINDING SOUND. AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO A MINUTE, EVENTUALLY IT STARTED. I DO SEE 2 RECALLS FOR THIS VEHICLE WHICH DESCRIBE THE VEHICLE STALLING WITHOUT WARNING BUT WHEN I PLACE MY VIN IN THE SEARCH IT DOES NOT IDENTIFY ANY RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE. THE RECALL NUMBERS I BELIEVE MAY RELEVANT TO OUR VEHICLE IS CHRYSLER'S R24 AND S55.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, WHICH WAS A SAFETY CONCERN. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE JERKED, MADE LOUD NOISES, AND ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DECELERATED WHEN MAKING A TURN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THOMAS DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (9604 INDIANAPOLIS BLVD, HIGHLAND, IN 46322, 219-924-6100) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG AND THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS SENT BACK TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FROM WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SOLD 'AS IS' AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO A MUFFLER SHOP TO REPAIR THE AIR BAG AND THE STEERING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG AND THE STEERING WERE REPAIRED, BUT SHE WAS NOT INFORMED OF WHAT WAS COMPLETED TO REPAIR THE FAILURES. THE FAILURES RECURRED A MONTH LATER. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER BACK AND WAS INFORMED TO GO BACK TO THE SELLER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.
MY CAR SUDDENLY STALLS AND UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE FOR 1 HOUR AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD FLASHES
ENGINE LIGHT ON, CODE P0456 EVAP SYSTEM SMALL LEAK-I DON'T HAVE ANY LEAKS CAR SHUTS DOWN.
MY CAR HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING, WHILE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY LOSING ABILITY TO STEER THE CAR. I REPEATEDLY WOULD HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TRY TO RESTART THE CAR IN ORDER TO GET THE CAR HOME. AS WELL AS HAVING A AIRBAG LIGHT THAT COMES ON WHEN EVERY I OVER BUMPY ROADS.
I'VE EXPERIENCED AIR BAG SERVICE WARNINGS ALONG WITH SERVICE PARKING BRAKE WARNINGS AND SERVICE AND. AT ONE POINT I WAS ON CRUISE CONTROL GOJ G 65 MPH WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN ALL THE WARNINGS CAME ON AT ONCE AND MY CAR SHIFTED ITSELF INTO NEATRAL AND THEN LOSS POWER FOR A SECOND. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME. I NEVER RECEIVED A NOTICE OF THIS RECALL BUT WHEN I LOOKED IT UP THERE WAS IN FACT A RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HENDRICK CHRYSLER/JEEP/DODGE (7630 HENDRICK AUTO PLAZA, CONCORD, NC.) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES WERE FAULTY. THE FAILURE WAS REPAIRED BUT REOCCURRED. IN ADDITION, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT HAD ILLUMINATED AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST INDICATING THE THROTTLE BODY WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.

THE DEALER (HERITAGE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM PARKVILLE, 9219 HARFORD RD, PARKVILLE, MD 21234, 1-(866) 492-8843) INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL CAMPAIGN AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.

SPECIFIC DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION WAS NOT DISCLOSED. IN ADDITION, THE REAR SHOCKS WERE REPLACED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V392000 (SUSPENSION), ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME SYMPTOMS LISTED IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT CONSUMER STATED OIL WAS LOW, VEHICLE STALLED AND DEALER DID SOMETHING TO THE MODULE POWER TRAIN. ALSO, TWO FRONT END ALIGNMENTS AND HAD TO REPLACE 6 TIRES AS WELL AS AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON. JUMPER HARNEST UNDER THE SEAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, A NOISE EMERGED FROM THE REAR TIRES THAT GREW LOUDER. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO AN UNKNOWN TIRE SHOP AND HAD THE REAR TIRES REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN EXPERIENCING THE NOISE EVER SINCE NOVEMBER OF 2017. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HOLLYWOOD CHRYSLER/JEEP IN HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA ON DECEMBER 16, 2017. THE DEALER DID NOT FIND ANY FAILURES WITH THE VEHICLE. THE INDEPENDENT TIRE MECHANIC SUGGESTED THAT THAT THE NOISE MAY BE RELATED TO THE SUSPENSION. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND A RECALL ISSUED BY THE MANUFACTURER FOR THE SUSPENSION, WHICH CAUSED THE TIRES TO WEAR OUT UNEVENLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.

THE CAR IS SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING AND IT TAKES FOREVER FOR IT TO START BACK UP. THIS HAS HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES.
A NOTIFICATION TO 'SERVICE AIR BAGS' SHOWS UP ON MY DASHBOARD CONSTANTLY. HAVE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS AND I DO NOT USE IT THAT MUCH. IT HAS ABOUT 51,000 MILES. READ ONLINE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL (CHRYSLER RECALL # S09) BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MY CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED BUT MY CAR IS EXPERIENCING THE EXACT PROBLEM DESCRIBED.

I HAVE A CHRYSLER 200C AWD 2015 THAT IS CONTINUALLY SABOTAGED/REFUSAL TO FIX BY VARIOUS CHRYSLER DEALERS SINCE COMPLAINING ABOUT A WARRANTY FIX ISSUE EARLY ON. EVER SINCE ITS BEEN A SERIES A MISHAPS SINCE GOING TO THE DEALER. GATOR CHRYSLER OF MELBOURNE, FL AND BONAFICE HEIRS CHRYSLER OF MERRITT ISLAND, FL BOTH AGGRESSIVELY TRY TO GET ME TO TRADE THE VEHICLE IN INSTEAD OF FIXING IT. REPEATEDLY THEY STATE THEY ARE NOT HEARING THE ISSUES THAT ARE NOT EASY TO FIX, IE TRANSMISSION HANGUP BETWEEN 4TH AND 5TH GEAR. THE CAR IS FIXED FOR VARIOUS ISSUES THAT ALWAYS REQUIRE ME TO BRING IT BACK. I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE FROM YOUR AGENCY TO PULL ALL RECORDS RELATING FROM CHRYSLER, AND BOTH OF THE AFOREMENTIONED DEALERS. THE PHONE RECORDS AND CALL LOGS ARE CRUCIAL TO THE INVESTIGATION. ALSO I OPENED ARBITRATION THAT WAS IGNORED AND I FEEL THE CAR IS A LEMON. CHRYSLER AT THIS POINT REFUSES TO FIX THE CAR TO STANDARDS. EACH TIME THEY SAY AND LIST ON THE PAPERWORK THAT THEY WILL BE DOING A 16 MULTIPOINT INSPECTION. REPEATEDLY THIS IS STATED TO BE DONE, BUT THE TIMELINE OF FIXES DO NOT ALIGN. I'M NOT SMART ENOUGH AND NEED AN ENGINEER FROM CHRYSLER TO PHYSICALLY COME TO A LOCAL LOCATION TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. SCOTT PELLEY AND SECRET SHOPPERS SHOULD BE DONE MIRRORING THIS SCENERIO AS HEARSAY IS THIS IS COMMON PRACTICE GIVEN THE NUMBER OF ELDERLY IN THIS AREA. I CAN'T FORMALLY MAKE THIS ACCUSATION, BUT FROM MISSING TIRES, MYSTERIOUS MISHAPS AND THEN BEING OUT THE VEHICLE, STOOD UP FOR RENTALS, ETC. THE MAIN POINT NOW IS I WAS TOLD THE COOLANT WOULD BE CHECKED STANDARD IN A MULTIPOINT INSPECTION, BUT IT WAS NOT BECAUSE WHEN I LEFT BONAFICE HEIRS CHRYSLER IT IMMEDIATELY OVERHEATED. THEY ARE BREAKING THE CAR TO GET BACK AT ME AND MAKE ME LOOK NONCREDIBLE IN THE DISORGANIZATION. I JUST KNOW ITS ALL FISHY AND IS BEYOND ME AT THIS POINT TO AUDIT, BUT NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR SAFETY.
AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED AT 61708. I'LL SAY A WEEK INTO ME DRIVING IT OFF THE LOT THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL OCCASIONALLY POP ON. I THOUGHT BECAUSE ONE DAY I FORGOT TO PUT MY GAS CAP ON BUT EVEN AFTER IT WILL RANDOMLY POP UP. I GOT SERVICES DONE TO MY VEHICLE 02/07/18. IT IS NOW THE 13TH OF FEBRUARY AND AIRBAG WARNING HAS POPPED UP.
CAR WAS PURCHASED USED 8/1/17 FOR MY DAUGHTER GOING TO COLLEGE. CAR WOULD NOT START ON WEEKEND TEST DRIVE, THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY. I DID GET DEALER TO FIX 3 OPEN RECALLS. SEPT 2017 MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING AT COLLEGE AND CAR BROKE DOWN WHILE AT A LIGHT, WOULD NOT START. . GOT TOWED TO DEALER AND IT STARTED. THE DEALER FOUND AN OPEN CODE TO REPLACE FUSE PANEL AND COMPLETED FIX. DEC 23 2017, CAR DIED WHILE DRIVING, HOWEVER STARTED 5 MINUTES LATER. JAN 2018, CAR WOULD NOT START - JUMPED AND IT STARTED. 1 HOUR LATER WOULD NOT START OR RESPOND TO JUMP. TOWED BACK TO DEALER AND NEXT DAY WHEN THEY GOT TO IT STARTED RIGHT UP. FEB 6 2018, CAR DIED WHILE DAUGHTER DRIVING IT AT 35-40 MPH, SHE MANAGED TO GET TO THE SHOULDER. AFTER 10 MINUTES THE CAR STARTED AND SHE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. THEY FOUND A CODE TO REPLACE THE PCM. FEB 18 2018 THE CAR WOULD NOT START. THIS CAR HAS HAD SEVERAL RECALLS AND NOW I WILL NOT LET MY DAUGHTER DRIVE THIS CAR AS HER CAMPUS IS 2.5 HOURS AWAY AND IN THE MOUNTAINS - COULD NOT IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF SHE WAS DRIVING OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND THE CAR DIED. IT IS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY AS I TRY TO WORK WITH THE DEALER TO BUY BACK THIS CAR. CHRYSLER SHOULD BE ASHAMED, THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A KNOWN ISSUE YET THEY CAN'T FIX IT AND ARE PUTTING PEOPLES LIVES AT RISK. TAMARA RECALL - THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON DURING COLD WEATHER (UNDER 30 DEGREES), AND THE ISSUE WAS THAT THE ENGINE COOLANT WAS BELOW A SPECIFIED TEMPERATURE FOR A SPECIFIED AMOUNT OF TIME. SEVERAL WEEKS LATER MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY DASH SAID THAT THE CAR WAS OVERHEATING. I DROVE A FEW MORE MILES AND STOPPED IN A PARKING LOT. AFTER WORK I DROVE IT HOME AND WATCHED THE TEMPERATURE, BUT IT DIDN'T GET HOT AGAIN. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES, AND ONCE THE PART WAS REPLACED, THE ISSUE DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I BELIEVE IF IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM, AND I BELIEVE THIS COULD BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE, IT SHOULD BE A RECALL. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE TO HELP DRIVERS BEFORE IT HAPPENS TO THEM.

EVERYTHING DROPPED ON THE SCREEN AND RED THERMOSTAT CAME ON AND RED LETTERS ABOUT SOMETHING HOT STABILIZER, THROTTLE BODY, SOMETHING.

WHEN THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER, TURNED IF OFF, AND RESTARTED IT, THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED (RUSS DARROW CHRYSLER, JEEP, DODGE OF WEST BEND, 3210 W WASHINGTON ST, WEST BEND, WI 53095) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT NO RECALLS WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
I WAS IN 2 AUTO REPAIR FACILITY BECAUSE THE LIGHT ENGINE IS ON AND THEY SAID THE PROBLEM IS COOLING SYSTEM:CODE FOR THERMOSTAT RATIONALITY.....I DONT KNOW IS THIS IS NORMAL ,BECAUSE MY CAR IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD.
SINCE DAY ONE OF PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE, I HAVE FELT A LURCH WHEN I PRESS THE GAS FOR ACCELERATION. WHEN PRESSING THE GAS, THE VEHICLE WILL HESITATE, THEN JUMP INTO MOTION. WHEN GOING IN LOW SPEEDS IT FEELS AS IF I HAVE BEEN REAR ENDED. WHEN I TOOK THIS VEHICLE TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP, THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME ITS JUST A GLITCH IN THIS CAR.
ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS I HAVE BEEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND MY CAR SHIFTS VERY HARD AND HAS MADE GRINDING NOISES. NOT ONLY THAT BUT EVER SINCE I HAVE BOUGHT IT, IT SHIFTS LIKE A RUBBER BAND BEING PULLED BACK AND MAKES YOU LUNGE FORWARD. I BELIEVE I HAVE TAKEN IT IN 3 TIMES NOW AND WITH NO RESOLUTION. THE FIRST TIME I TOOK IT IN THEY HAD A SERVICE REP RIDE WITH ME TO SEE WHAT I WAS FEELING. HE PERSONALLY SAID THAT IT WASN'T SHIFTING CORRECTLY AND SO THEY KEPT IT. WHEN I PICKED IT UP THEY INFORMED ME THEY DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT BUT RE-PROGRAMMED IT. AS I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP IT SHIFTED WORSE THAN BEFORE. I THEN CALLED AND COMPLAINED AND THEY SAID IT WAS NORMAL, ON MY WAY BACK HOME IT WAS CONSISTENTLY SHIFTING ROUGH. I FINALLY JUST PULLED OVER SHUT THE CAR OFF AND STARTED IT UP AGAIN. AFTER DOING SO IT SHIFTED SMOOTHER BUT WORSE THAN IT DID BEFORE. ON A SEPARATE OCCASION I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT A SPEED OF 70 MPH SET ON CRUISE WHEN I TRIED TO DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTION AND IT WOULD NOT DISENGAGE! I WAS GOING FROM A HIGHWAY TO A SPEED LIMIT CHANGE AND COULD NOT GET IT. LUCKILY I HAVE READ ABOUT THIS HAPPENING AND SHIFTED IT INTO NEUTRAL AND I WAS ABLE TO DISENGAGE IT AFTER THAT.
FORWARD COLLISION WARNING (FCW) WITH MITIGATION SYSTEM DID NOT WORK AT A SPEED OF 15 MILES PER HOUR. A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MY VEHICLE STOPPED ABRUPTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND I ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES BUT IT WAS TO LATE AND I HIT THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. MY VEHICLE WHICH WAS TRAVELING AT 15 MILES PER HOUR GAVE NO FORWARD COLLISION WARNING NOR DID IT ATTEMPT TO APPLY THE BRAKES. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE SYSTEM WAS MADE FOR THIS TYPE OF OCCURRENCE AND THE SAFETY FEATURE SHOULD HAVE WORKED. THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE SUSTAINED $6500 IN DAMAGE FROM A MINOR 15 MPH ACCIDENT THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED OR LESSENED WITH THE TECHNOLOGY PACKAGE THAT I PURCHASED AS AN ADD ON TO THE VEHICLE.
ON 9/16/18, VEHICLE DIED AND WOULD NOT START. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, IT STARTED, THEN WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, VEHICLE LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER AND CAME TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. CAR WAS TOWED TO DEALER WHERE THEY TROUBLE SHOOTED FOR SEVERAL DAYS TRYING TO REPRODUCE THE ELECTRICAL POWER FAILURE. THEY FOUND A SERVICES BULLETIN ABOUT ELECTRICAL CONNECTION AND REPLACED WIRING HARNESS. OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS I NOTICED MY VEHICLE FELT LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING. AS TIME WENT ON, I REALIZED IT WASN'T A SLIPPING, BUT A HARD SHIFT. THE VEHICLE WOULD ALSO LOOSE POWER UPON ACCELERATION TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC OR CHANGING LANES. THIS WAS VERY SCARY, BUT AT TIMES IT SEEMED AS IF THE VEHICLE MIGHT LOSE COMPLETE POWER AND DIE WHILE IN HEAVY HIGHWAY SPEED TRAFFIC. ON 10/11/2018 WHILE HAVING MY VEHICLE OIL CHANGED, I ASKED THE TECHNICIAN TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO CONFIRM WHAT I WAS FEELING WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THE TECHNICIAN AGREED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN FACT NOT SHIFTING OR FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. I OBTAINED A QUOTE TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION SERVICED. THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FLUSHED/SERVICED MIGHT HELP, BUT OFTEN TIMES FLUSHING CAN CAUSE SYMPTOMS TO WORSEN. I OPTED TO NOT HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FLUSHED/SERVICED AT THAT TIME AND PLANNED TO TAKE MY VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER AFTER THE HOLIDAYS. IT IS NOW THE THE 3RD WEEK IN DECEMBER AND JUST THIS WEEK THE HARD SHIFTING AND LOSS OF POWER WHEN THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTS TO MERGE INTO HIGHWAY SPEED TRAFFIC HAS WORSENED SIGNIFICANTLY. I PHONED THE CHRYSLER DEALER TODAY AND SPOKE WITH MY SERVICE ADVISOR TO SCHEDULE AN APPT. I AM TO CALL BACK ON WEDNESDAY 12/26 TO RESERVE A COURTESY VEHICLE AND SCHEDULE APPT. TO DROP MY VEHICLE OFF ON 12/27/2018
