IS VERY DANGEROUS I CAN'T DRIVE ON INTERSTATE BECAUSE IF WE'RE TO STALL LIKE IT DOES AND LOSE PIOWER OR GET KILLED! IT'S HAS STOPPED WHILE PULLING OUT INTO THE HIGHWAY RESULTING IN ME HAVING TO JUMP OUT OF CAR BEFORE I GOT TBONED
CAR SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC WITH NO WARNING. CAR FREQUENTLY RESETS ITSELF MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY WITHOUT REASON. DASHBOARD LIGHTS GO OUT WITHOUT WARNING. GEAR SWITCH HAS LOW VOLTAGE, SHUTS OFF CAR.
AIRBAG LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING ANY SPEED. IT'S HAPPENED ON THE STREET AT 25 MPH AND ON HIGHWAY GOING 65MPH. MAKES NO DIFFERENCE . SOMETIMES STAYS ON FOR LONG SOMETIMES TAKES OFF RIGHT AWAY . CALLED MY DEALER BUT SAID THERE'S NO RECALL FOR MY VIN

THIS CAR IS THE BIGGEST POS I HAVE EVER OWNED, WE HAVE HAD ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AFTER ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, NOW IT ISN'T KEEPING A CHARGE ON THE BATTERY, CHARGED OVERNIGHT WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR, GET TO OUR NEXT LOCATION AND IT IS DEAD, THE CAR HAS DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE A BUSY ROAD AS WE PULLED OUT WE WERE VERY LUCKY A SEMI DIDN'T HIT OUR CAR WITH MY WIFE AND KIDS IN THE CAR, WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR NOT SHIFTING OUT OF OUT OF GEAR, WHEEL BEARINGS AND THEY WILL NOT EVEN LOOK AT THE ISSUE WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE ALL THE TIRES WITHIN 25,000 MILES, BECAUSE I RATHER SAVE THE MONEY AND ROTATE THE TIRES MYSELF THEY REFUSED TO LOOK INTO A PROBLEM, THE NEW TIRES WE HAD TO PUT ON THE CARE ARE STARTING TO WEAR JUST LIKE THE LAST ONES, I HAVE BEEN A VERY LOYAL CHRYSLER/RAM CUSTOMER BUT THE CHRYSLER 200S TAKES THE CAKE, THIS CAR HAS HAD RECALL AFTER RECALL AND NOW SINCE CHRYSLER DISCONTINUED MAKING THE CAR, THE VALUE TANKED AND WE OWE MORE ON IT THAN IT IS EVEN WORTH, TALK ABOUT STICKING TO SOMEONE... NOT HAPPY AT ALL
TRANSMISSION MAY SHIFT UNEXPECTEDLY TO NEUTRAL CAUSING A LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER. THE LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. THE INCIDENTS ALWAYS INVOLVE SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR. ALL 6 OR 7 INCIDENTS THAT HAPPENED FROM JANUARY TO OCTOBER OCCURRED ON CITY STREETS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER (MAC HAIK CHRYSLER DODGE, 11000 NORTH FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77037) WHERE AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V529000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
HAD TO HAVE THE WHEEL HUB REPLACEMENT AFTER ONLY HAVING THE CAR FOR 1 YEAR PUT NEEDS SHOCKS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD

TAKATA RECALL! MY CHRYSLER HAS BEEN SHUTTING OFF AND LOSING POWER. IT IS HARD TO RESTART IT AND IT SAYS PUT IT PARK. NO WARNING LIGHTS AND IT BEEPS WHEN I TURN.
THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT WILL COME ON EVERY SO OFTEN
THE BATTERY DRAINS CONSTANTLY CAUSING THE BATTERY TO DIE. CAR WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THAT BRAKE IS BEING PRESSED TO START CAR. THE CAR HAS STARTED ON ITS OWN SHORTLY AFTER TRYING TO START THE CAR WITHOUT PRESSING BRAKE AND RELEASING KEY. AFTER ACTUALLY GETTING CAR TO START CAR AFTER CHARGE THE CAR WILL DIE SHORTLY THERE AFTER AFTER RUNNING FOR A FEW MINUTRS. HAS CAUSED CAR TO STALL WHILE IN GEAR/MOVING. BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES ALREADY. CAR IS NOW IN DEALER AND DEALER IS SAYING I HAVE TO BUY A NEW BATTERY EVEN THOUGH THE CAR HAD A BATTERY REPLACED THE DAY ON 9/21/2017 WHEN CAR JUST DIED ON DRIVE TO 7-11. THE CAR WAS THEN DRIVEN FROM NC TO FL AND THEN SHORT DRIVE IN FL AND IS FULLY DEAD AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER. HERE IS PICTURE OF TOW. DEIVER CHARGED BATTERY TO MOVE TO FLATBED THEN IT DIED WHILE PUTTING IN GEAR. HAD TO BE PUSHED RO GET MOVED OUT OF PARKING SPACE FOR FLATBED. *BF UPDATED 7/27/18*JB
STALLS SHIFTS, SHIFTS HARD WON'T GO TO PARK STAYS IN NEUTRAL. WENT FOR RECALL DEALER SAID I JUST NEED THE UPDATE. CAR IS STILL ACTING THE SAME AFTER RECALL. FEEL VERY UNSAFE WHEN CAR STALLS ON HIGHWAY AND BUSY STREETS.
SINCE TIME OF PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE CONSUMERS FAR TOO MUCH OIL HAS COST THE ENGINE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO BE PERMANENTLY ON AND CANNOT BE TURNED OFF WITHOUT REPLACING ENGINE
DASH LIGHTS COME ON, ELECTRIC BOLT LIGHT SHOWS, AND CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE. CAR IS PARKED IN DRIVE WAY. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS YEAR THIS HAS HAPPENED. I TOOK IT TO A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP THE FIRST TIME A MONTH BEFORE, THEY FIXED THE RECALL AND CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY. I WILL HAVE TO TRY TO TAKE IT IN FOR A SECOND TIME.
9-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTS EXTREMELY HARD IN GEARS 1-5. ALSO LUNGES ON DOWNSHIFTS. SOFTWARE UPDATES AND NEW VALVE BODY HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. DEALER NOW STATES NOTHING ELSE CAN BE DONE SINCE NO CHECK ENGINE DATA CAN BE FOUND.

THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AFTER TEN SECONDS AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (MILTON RUBEN CHEVROLET, 3514 WASHINGTON RD, AUGUSTA, GA 30907), BUT THE CONTACT DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS DIAGNOSED OR REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. AFTER ONE WEEK OF THE RECALL REPAIR, THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES. THE SAME DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE CONTACT HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY AIR BAG LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND GO OFF FOR A WHILE. BUT NOW IT SHOWS UP ON MY FTC CODE READER REGULARLY. WHEN I HAVE IT CHECKED IT SAY REPLACE AIR BAG CLOCK SPRING. MY TRANSMISSION IS JERKING AROUND AND MAKES A NOISE WHEN I START TO PUT IT IN GEAR. LIKE A CLANKING SOUND
MY AIR BAG LIGHT RANDOMLY CAME ON WHILE DRIVING 20MPH IN A SCHOOL ZONE TAKING MY DAUGHTER TO SCHOOL. IT WENT OFF THEM RANDOMLY CAME BACK ON AGAIN TODAY AND HASN'T WENT OFF. I HOPE THIS IS A RECALL BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. WHEN I CALLED T HE DEALERSHIP THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WASN'T AN RECALL AND WOULD COST OVER 200 JUST TO DIAGNOSE IT!!! MY CAR IS A 2015 WITH ONLY 47,000 MILES ON IT!!
TWICE I'VE HAD MY KIDS IN THE CAR AND HAVE HAD THIS CAR STALL OUT ON ME IN MOTION AND IT IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE
ON OCTOBER 2, 2017, AS I WAS PREPARING TO START THE CAR, I NOTICED THAT THE BELL KEPT RINGING. AND WHEN TRIED TO START THE CAR, IT WOULDN'T START. SO AFTER SITTING IN THE CAR FOR ABOUT TWO MINUTES, IT STARTED, BUT HESITANTLY. ALSO, THE AIR BAGS WARNING LIGHT HAD BEEN COMING ON SINCE LAST WEEK. I WAS DRIVING WHEN THE WARNING LIGHT FOR THE AIRBAGS CAME ON.
WHEN DRIVING THE CAR JERKS BETWEEN SPEEDS, ESPECIALLY FROM 3RD SPEED TO 4 SPEED ITS A HARD/ROUGH SHIFT. EVEN WHEN STOPPING THE CAR IS STILL GOING AND JERKING. VERY UNSAFE! ESPECIALLY IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, VEHICLE HAS A VERY BAD DELAY WHEN TRYING O MERGE INTO TRAFFIC.
THE AIR BAG SERVICE SYSTEM MESSAGE JUST POPPED UP WHILE DRIVING, AND REMAINS ON AS A MESSAGE EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS STARTED AND WHILE DRIVING.
DRIVING DOING AROUND 20-25 MPH CAR SHUTS OFF. HAVE TO THROUGH CAR IN PARK TO RESTART. IT HAPPEN YESTERDAY . THEN AGAIN THIS MORNING ALMOST CAUSING A ACCIDENT
2015 CHRYSLER 200 HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WITH THE CAR SINCE PURCHASE. TRANSMISSION RUNS VERY ROUGH, CAR JERKS, SHIFTS GEARS UNEXPECTEDLY, ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. 9/29/17 ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AND CAR HIT A CURB. HAVE TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP OVER AND OVER AND THEY SAY NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE CAR AND HAVE NOT NOTED IN MY FILE THAT I HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. WAS CONTACTED BY CHRYSLER ENGINEERS THAT WERE DOING A STUDY ON THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND WANTED ME TO TEST DRIVE A NEWER MODEL TO COMPARE. THEY ADMITTED CHRYSLER KNEW ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH THIS MODEL BUT HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET CHRYSLER TO ADMIT OR BUY BACK THE VEHICLE
AS I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK AT 5:30 AM THIS CAR STALLED AND TOLD ME TO PULL OVER, TURN OFF ENGINE AND PLACE IN PARK. I LIVE IN COUNTRY SO THERE WAS NOTHING BUT A BACK COUNTRY ROAD. THE CAR WOULD NOT START AT ALL WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO PARK, I CALLED MY HUSBAND TO COME HELP ME. HE HAD TO PULL BOTH BATTERY TERMINALS OFF AND RECONNECT THEM. AFTER I WAS 2 HOURS LATE TO WORK THE CAR FINALLY STARTED AGAIN. SINCE THIS INCIDENT THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 MORE TIMES AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF DAY.
I FEEL STRONGLY THE NHTSA SHOULD LOOK INTO THE GROWING NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS PERTAINING TO 2015 CHRYSLER 200 AIR BAG ISSUES. A DASHBOARD MESSAGE STATING SERVICE AIR BAG SYSTEM APPEARS THEN THEN DISAPPEARS FROM MY DASHBOARD. IT STAYS ON FOR A FEW DAYS THEN GOES OFF FOR A COUPLE DAYS. A 2015 CAR SHOULD NOT BE HAVING AIR BAG ISSUES. I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE THAT MY AIR BAGS WILL ACTUALLY WORK.
TAKATA RECALL AN AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON IN MY VEHICLE FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE FIRST TIME, IT WENT OFF AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES. THIS TIME, IT WAS ON FOR A WHILE. I CALLED INTO THE DEALER AND CHRYSLER, CONFIRMED THERE ARE NO OPEN RECALLS, BUT THAT EVEN AT ONLY 41,231 MILES THIS IS NOT COVERED. IN EDMUNDS SITE, THERE WERE RECALLS OF MARCH 2016 FOR VEHICLES WITH THE SAME PRODUCTION DATE RANGE OF MY VEHICLE, HOWEVER MY VEHICLE WASN'T INCLUDED. AS A RESULT, I WILL NEED TO PAY $120 FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS ALONE, THEN FOR THE REPAIR. THE LIGHT CAME ON AS I WAS DRIVING ON A LOCAL CITY STREET AT ABOUT 35MPH.
BOUGHT NEW. CAR HAS 37000 MILES SO OUT OF 36000 MILE WARRANTY. ENGINE JUST STARTED CUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT SEVERAL TIMES. DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL EVEN THOUGH WE SHOWED THEM THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE.
TRANSMISSION MAKES HARD SHIFTS. IT IS THE 9 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. VEHICLE HAS THE 3.6 V6. HARD SHIFTS COME AT ANY SPEED. BETWEEN I THINK 3RD AND 6TH GEAR. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOUR ARE CASUALLY DRIVING OR PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR TO SPEED UP FAST. IT IS A JOLT THAT YOU NEVER EXPECT. WE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT ONCE. THEY SAID THEY HAD DONE AN UPDATE AND IT SEEMED BETTER. NOW IT IS OUT OF THE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY AND IT IS DOING IT AGAIN RATHER FREQUENTLY. LIKE 3-4 TIMES A DAY. UNSURE WHAT TO DO. WHEN IT HAPPENS IT FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING TO FALL OUT. FEELS SCARY. USUALLY GOING STRAIGHT PROBABLY BETWEEN 25-40 MPH. I SELECTED DATE BELOW. BUT THIS HAS OCCURRED SINCE ABOUT 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE AND CONTINUES.
OUT OF NO WHERE AFTER I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT MY CAR FROM AND THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT POPPED UP... TOOK IT TO A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID ALL THE PROBLEMS I WAS HAVING WAS BECAUSE MY BATTERY BUT BEFORE THAT EVEN HAPPENED MY CAR WAS ON 14 VOLLATAGES... HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW BATTERY AND ONLY HAD THE CAR A YEAR

A BYSTANDER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY VEERED OFF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THEY MAY HAVE EITHER BLACKED OUT OR FALLEN ASLEEP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DROVE INTO A DITCH. THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG LOCATED IN THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED INJURIES TO THE FACE, ARMS, BACK, AND CHEST. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NEEDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000. SPOKE W/ OWNER/DRIVER OF VEHICLE. CONCERN IS WITH DRIVER FRONTAL AIR BAG NOT DEPLOYING IN THIS IMPACT. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE GEAR FAILED TO SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE, BUT THEN AUTOMATICALLY SHIFTED FROM PARK TO NEUTRAL. AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS, THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND THE GEAR SHIFTED INTO DRIVE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO GWINNETT CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (5054 US-78, STONE MOUNTAIN, GA 30087), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-853-1403 AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO CALL NHTSA. A CASE NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
WHILE TURNING ONTO THE ON RAMP OF THE FREEWAY ONE MORNING, THE CAR ENGINE SHUT OFF. I HAD TO QUICKLY GET OUT AND PUSH THE CAR OUT OF THE LANES. THE CAR PROMPTED SHIFT TO PARK AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART. AFTER SOME TIME APPROXIMATELY 2 TO 3 MINUTES TRYING TO START, THE VEHICLE STARTED BACK UP. THE LIGHTS WERE DIMMER AND POWER WAS WEAK. DROVE ABOUT A MILE (AT 32MPH AS THE MAX SPEED THE CAR WOULD ALLOW) AND IT SHUT OFF AGAIN. ONCE AGAIN PROMPTING TO SHIFT TO PARK. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED WITH NO ISSUE THIS TIME. MADE IT TO THE FRONT OF MY HOUSE, 3 MILES AWAY FROM WHERE IT STOPPED THE SECOND TIME, AND IT STOPPED AGAIN.

THE OTHER TIRE THEY PATCHED AND ROGER AFTER GETTING ON PHONE WITH TIRE KINGDOM REQUESTED THIS COME BACK TO HIM. THESE ORIGINAL 4 TIRES, INCLUDING THE PATCHED ONES HAD MATCHING DOT NUMBERS. THE NEW ONE PAID FOR BY ROGER OF GATOR CHRYLSER MELBOURNE, FL HAD AN INMATCHED DOT NUMBER, BEING FROM A NEW BATCH, ALSO LESSER TREAD WEAR COMPARED TO OTHER 3. TIRE KINGDOM SINCE HAS SEEN MY CAR MULTIPLE TIMES FOR TIRE PUNCTURES. I WAS TOLD THE CAR GUYS HERE ARE CONNECTED AND NOTHING IS FOR FREE. I WAS TOLD THEY ARE PAWNS FOLLOWING SOMEONES DIRECTIVE. THIS IS DISTURBING AS IT INVOLVES LOCAL ORGANIZED CRIME, AS EVEN THE POLICE COULD NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS ACTION LEGALLY. I SAVED TGE PATCHED TIRE AND ALL RECORDS. GOT ON HWY 25 MILES WEST GOING HOME I-70 WEST TO BONNER SPRINGS, THE CAR STARTED HESITATING, I NEARLY GOT THROWN OFF HIGHWAY BY 3 SEMIS- ADND 2 TRUCKS AND CARS BEHIND ME, LET OFF HORRIBLE BURNING ODOR, AND NEARLY THREW MY BODY OUT OF THE CAR, BUT I HANDLED WELL. I GOT OFF I-70 TO STATE AVENUE- RUNS PARALLEL DIRECTIONS. THEN, WHEN I CAME TO A NUMBER OF LIGHTS- THE ENGINE REVVED UP, LIKE IT WAS JERKING MOTIONS. I PAID IT SOME ATTENTION, BUT WAS AT A LOSS FOR WORDS. I THOUGHT I WAS ON A RACE TRACK ENGINES REVVED UP, BUT I WAS NOT GOING TO A RACE TRACK. SO, I CAME HOME- SETTLED NOW DOWN TO2:445 IN THE MORNING VERY SHAKEN UP. SO, I NOTIFIED THE TELEVISIONS NEWS STATIONS AND THE KANSAS CITY STAR NEWSPAPER AS WE SPEAK. TAKATA RECALL AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I STARTED MY CAR. IT SAYS SERVICE AIR BAG SYSTEM. I CALLED CHRYSLER BECAUSE I SEEN THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY KIND OF VEHICLE AND I WAS INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT AFFECTED BY THE RECALL. BUT THE LIGHT REMAINS ON.

TWICE IN THE LAST TWO DAYS, THE CAR ENGINE HAS SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN WHILE IN MOTION, AND THE "VEHICLE AT TOO HIGH SPEED" FLASHED ON MY DASHBOARD AS IT ASKED ME TO PUT IT IN PARK TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. IMAGINE IF I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 65 WITH CARS ALL AROUND ME! AN ACCIDENT, POSSIBLY DEADLY, WOULD HAVE OCCURRED! I HAVE A 7 YEAR OLD CHILD, AND THIS CAR IS PUTTING US BOTH IN DANGER. I DIDN'T PAY FOR A DEATH MACHINE, I PAID FOR A WORKING VEHICLE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO KEEP ME AND MY FAMILY SAFE.
