WHEN THE VEHICLE IS DOWN SHIFTING TO MAKE A STOP IT SKIPS 2ND GEAR COMPLETELY. IT GOES FROM 3RD TO 1ST WITH A LURCH FORWARD THAT ALMOST FEELS LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN REAR ENDED. AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED A COLLISION WITH THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME NUMEROUS TIMES. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO PERFORMED A UPDATE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE IS FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AND THAT IT NEEDS TO LEARN MY DRIVING HABITS. BUT THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE AND FEELS MORE AND MORE UNSAFE EVERYDAY. THIS HAS BEEN A ONGOING ISSUE AND COMPLAINT SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN JULY OF 2016. WITH NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND VISITS TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. THE MOST RECENT BEING IN MAY OF 2017
ON MAY THE AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED TO COME ON ONCE IN A WHILE. BUT THE LAST 2 MONTHS THE LIGHT DOES NOT GO AWAY. I TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WANT TO CHARGE ME $150 TO JUST SEE IT. THE VEHICLE HAS 50,000 MILES THE MINUTE I START THE VEHICLE THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES OUT AND DOES NOT GO AWAY UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF. I JUST AFRAID THAT IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT THE AIRBAGS WONT WORK OR THEY MIGHT EXPLODE WHILE I'M DRIVING. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE VEHICLE BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A SHORT CIRCUIT INSIDE THE RACK AND PINION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
THE VEHICLE IS CONTINUING TO HAVE THESE DEFAULTS AS SHOWN IN PICTURES I'M EXPERIENCING MORE DEFAULTS IN THIS VEHICLE AND THAT I WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR CHRYLSER CARS AND THAT I'M AFRAID OF EITHER GETTING HURT OR SOMEONE ELSE GETTING HURT MAYBE EVEN KILLED DUE TO THESE FAULTY ISSUES THAT NEEDS TO BE CHECKING AND THAT I DON'T HAVE ANY KIND OF WARRANTY ON THIS VEHICLE.
2015 CHRYSLER 200 DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, AT LEAST 10 TO COUNT THE VEHICLE HAS RANDOMLY LOST POWER AND THE ENGINE FAILS. AT THIS POINT I'M TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR WHICH I JUST PURCHASED THREE MONTHS AGO ON THE HIGHWAY THIS VEHICLE WOULD BE A DEATH TRAP. FURTHERMORE THE VEHICLE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED INDICATING THAT IT WILL NOT COMPLY I'VE CALLED CHRYSLER END THE CHEVY DEALER FOR WHICH I PURCHASE THE VEHICLE AND THEY TOLD ME THERE'S NO RECALL AND IT APPEARS THAT MY WARRANTY WILL NOT PAY FOR THE CAR TO GET FIXED.
AFTER WORK I GO TO START MY CAR AND THERE WAS A HARD START AND THEN MY CAR DIED. THE ENGINE FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO POP OUT OF THE HOOD. WELL, CHRYSLER WAS INFORMED AND MY CAR WAS TOWED NEXT DAY TO THE DEALERSHIP. MY SERVICE MAN CALLED APPROXIMATELY 45 MIN AFTER MY CAR WAS DELIVERED TO THEM EXPLAINING TO ME I WAS ABOUT 2 QUARTS LOW ON OIL. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE I EXPLAINED TO HIM. ON THE DRIVER SIDE THERE IS A STICKER SHOWING I JUST GOT MY OIL CHANGE NOT TO LONG AGO. MY SERVICE MAN SAID THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS ENGINE. THIS TYPE OF ENGINE BURNS OIL AND I RECOMMEND WHEN YOU FILL UP YOUR TANK TO CHECK YOUR OIL EVERY TIME. I FILL UP ONCE A WEEK SO I HAVE TO CHECK MY OIL ONCE A WEEK!? THIS IS RIDICULOUS MY NEW CAR BURNS OIL!? GOOD THING THIS HAPPENED AFTER WORK. WHAT IF MY CAR WOULD HAVE STALLED WHILE DRIVING WITH MY KIDS. I DRIVE ACROSS TOWN TO TAKE AND PICK UP MY KIDS FROM SCHOOL. NOW I HAVE TO CARRY A QUART OF OIL SO MY CAR DOESN'T STALL AND DIE ON ME
PURCHASED VEHICLE 24 APRIL 2017. AFTER APPROX. 2 WEEKS THE "SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM' MESSAGE AND AIRBAG LIGHT ON PANEL CAME ON AND WENT OFF AFTER A FEW DAYS. CALLED AND SPOKE WITH DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED FROM AND WAS INFORMED THAT IF IT CAME ON AGAIN TO TAKE IT IN TO GET CHECKED. CAME ON AGAIN AFTER ANOTHER 2 WEEKS, SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT AND THE MORNING I TOOK IT IN IT WENT OFF. CAME ON AGAIN AT THE END OF JUNE WHICH WAS ANOTHER 2 WEEKS LATER AND HAS BEEN ON SINCE. FIRST COUPLE OF TIME CAME ON WHILE DRIVING, LAST TIME CAME ON RIGHT AFTER CAR WAS STARTED. CAR WILL ALSO MAKING A "JERKY" ACCELERATION MOTION WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND ACTS LIKE IT CAN'T ACCELERATE AFTER COMING OUT OF A STOP. MAKES THE "JERKY" ACCELERATION MOTION WHEN PULLING INTO DRIVEWAY ALSO. DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND SAW THAT OTHERS WHERE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. I HAVEN'T HAD THIS VEHICLE A FULL 4 MONTHS.
MY VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HIT A RUN, AND THE PART I NEED HAS BEEN ON BACKORDER WITH CHRYSLER FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. I CAN STILL DRIVE THE VEHICLE, BUT IT HAS BEEN DEEMED UNSAFE FOR ROAD USE. I CANNOT FIX THE CAR UNTIL THIS PART IS AVAILABLE, AND I CAN'T GET A CAR THROUGH INSURANCE FOR MORE THAN 30 DAY. COULD YOU GUYS PUSH CHRYSLER TO MAKE THIS PART AT A FASTER RATE, THERE ARE OVER 600 BACKORDERS ON THIS PART WITH MANY ANGRY CUSTOMER EAGERLY WAITING FOR IT. THE NEW PART NUMBER IS 68376692AA
ON FIVE SEPARATE OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE OR DRIVING A SPEEDS BETWEEN 25-30 MPH ON NEIGHBORHOOD STREETS. IT HAS HAPPENED IN TEMPERATURES RANGE FROM 30-75 DEGREES, TYPICALLY AFTER SITTING ALL DAY OR OVERNIGHT. AFTER STALLING, IT BECOMES DIFFICULT TO RESTART, TAKING SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO ENGAGE THE ENGINE. IT HAS HAD REPEATED SOFTWARE UPDATES TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE WITHOUT POSITIVE RESULTS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS NEEDING A SOFTWARE UPDATE AND HAVING RECALLS. THE SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE A FAILURE COULD NOT BE FOUND. THE THROTTLE WAS CLEANED AND THE OIL WAS CHANGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS OR SOFTWARE UPDATES FOR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
ON 1 MAY 2017, I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 CHRYSLER 200 TO WORK. I WAS CRUISING AT 67 MPH ON THE 4 LANE HIGHWAY IN BUSY MORNING TRAFFIC. THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED FROM 67 MPH TO 70 MPH THEN TO 74 MPH WITHIN A FEW SECONDS. I CANCELLED CRUISE CONTROL BUT THE CAR STAYED AT THE ACCELERATED SPEED AND I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE CAR AT THAT TIME. I TAPPED THE BRAKE WITH NO RESPONSE; THEN I TAPPED THE ACCELERATOR AND FINALLY REGAINED CONTROL AND WAS THEN ABLE TO BRAKE AND SLOW THE CAR DOWN. WHEN THE CAR WAS ACCELERATED TO 74 MPH, I HAD NO CONTROL AND I COULD HEAR THAT IT WAS WINDING AND TRYING TO SHIFT TO THE NEXT GEAR BUT IT SEEMED STUCK AT 4000 RPMS. THIS WAS A VERY SCARY EXPERIENCE. I WILL NOT ALLOW MY DAUGHTER TO DRIVE THE CAR ANYMORE. I ALSO AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT MYSELF. IT'S A FAIRLY NEW CAR AND I HAVE ALREADY GONE TO THE DEALERSHIP 2 TIMES PRIOR TO THIS EVENT BECAUSE THE CAR ALSO SUDDENLY ACCELERATES WHEN I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR ATTEMPTING TO BRAKE. ON A DAILY BASIS, I CAN FEEL THE CAR SPEED UP WHEN I TAKE MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR TO THE BRAKE. THIS SUDDEN SURGE COULD EASILY CAUSE A FENDER BENDER. EACH TIME I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THIS ISSUE, THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. WHEN I CALLED CHRYSLER ABOUT THIS EVENT ON 1 MAY, I WAS OFFERED ASSISTANCE IN GETTING IT DIAGNOSED AGAIN, BUT I HAVE ALREADY DONE THAT AND SEE NO NEED SINCE ON BOTH OCCASIONS THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I HOPE THEY BUY THIS CAR BACK AS I DON'T FEEL IT'S SAFE TO TRADE IN PLUS I AM "UPSIDE DOWN" SO I WOULD STILL BE PAYING FOR IT EVEN IF I TRADED IT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE SERVICE SYSTEM AIR BAG MASSAGE DISPLAYED AND THE AIR BAG INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WOULD ALSO STALL IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ENGINE WAS STARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JEEP ALL STAR (11503 ST. CHARLES ROCK RD., BRIDGETON, MO) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE WAS FAULTILY. THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE CAUSE OF THE AIR BAG FAILURE WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
THIS CAR SHIFTS HORRIBLY. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE LAST YEAR FROM A DEALER IN GREEN BAY WI. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED DUE TO A MANUFACTURER'S BUYBACK IN 2016
VEHICLE SHUT DOWN AT RANDOM AFTER 1 MONTH OF DRIVING WHEN PURCHASED APRIL 2017 AND HAS BEEN STALLING AND RANDOMLY SHUTTING DOWN SINCE. THERE HAS BEEN TWO TO THREE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AT TWO AUTO SERVICES INCLUDING CHYSLER. THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEN FIXED. I WAS DEIVING EVERYTIME IT SHUTDOWN AND THE VEHICLE STALLS WHILE DRIVING AND SOMETIMES WHEN STATIONARY.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the front passenger’s side air bag warning light would remain illuminated and would turn off and on without a passenger being in the seat. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the electrical wiring, but the failure reoccurred. Also, while attempting to accelerate from a stationary position, the accelerator pedal needed to be depressed almost to the floor before the vehicle responded. Occasionally, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration and the vehicle would suddenly lurch forward. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.
THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND NEVER WENT OUT AND THAT THE AIRBAG SERVICE SYSTEMS KEEP ON COMING ON THE MY CAR SOMETIMES SPEED AND THEN IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE BEYOND 45 MILES IT SEEMS THAT THE CAR ENGINE IS READY TO GO OUT AT ANYTIME OR MOMENT WHILE DRIVING THE GEAR SHIFT IS JUMPING FROM #1,#2#3#4#5#6 ALSO TEMP FOR THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN MESSING UP ALONG WITH THE TIME. I'M NOT SURE WHAT ELSE WOULD HAPPEN IF I CONTINUE TO DRIVE IT. THE CAR MAY CAUSE PROBLEMS LATER ON WHILE DRIVING I DON'T HAVE ANY WARRANTY ON THIS VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED AND THAT I HAVE READ THE RECALL OF ALL CHRYLSER VEHICLES FROM 2010-17 THESE ARE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS THAT I'M HAVING THE PARKING LIGHTS AND ENGINE LIGHT HAD CAME ON DURING PARKING AND STAYED ON TILL I LEFT WORK ON THE 04/28/17 AND 04/29/2017 IT ALSO HAS STARTED TO JERKING A FEW WEEKS AGO TILL NOW ALSO . I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE I JUST MAY HAVE A WRECK WHILE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. I'M NOT REALLY AS TO WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE VEHICLE.
THE ENGINE LIGHT CONTINUES TO REMAIN ON WHILE IN DRIVE MODE THE GEAR SHIFTS REMAIN TO MOVE ACCORDINGLY #1#2#3#4#5#6#7#8 THE TRANSMISSION IS STARTING TO SLIP WHILE IN DRIVING MODE AND THAT THE AIRBAGS SYSTEM IS CONTINUED TO BLINK ON AND OFF THESE ARE SOME OF THE BAD DEFECTS THAT'S HAPPENING AS OF NOW I'M AFRAID OF REALLY DRIVING THESE VEHICLE DUE TO FAULTY SYSTEMS THAT MAY BE MORE THAN A ISSUE THE PROBLEMS STARTED WHEN IN PARKING AND DRIVE MODE.
I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT ON CLEAR DAY WITH NO TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF ME WHEN MY MOONROOF EXPLODED, RAINING GLASS DOWN ON ME. I WAS STATIONARY AND THERE WAS NO OTHER TRAFFIC, SO I KNOW NOTHING HIT THE MOONROOF TO CAUSE THE EXPLOSION.
AFTER SITTING FOR AN EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME AT TIMES SUCH AS AT THE BANK OR DRIVE THRU'S ECT WHEN YOU PULL AWAY IT STARTS FINE PULLING AWAY SLOW. THEN WHEN YOU TRY TO SPEED UP TO GO INTO TRAFFIC IT WILL SLIP INTO NEUTRAL. THE ONLY THING THAT I HAVE FOUND THAT HELPS IT IS TO LITERALLY SHIFT IT INTO NEUTRAL PHYSICALLY THEN SHIFT IT BACK TO DRIVE. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS IN BUSY TRAFFIC. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO "COULDN'T MAKE IT DO IT" AND THEY SAID WHEN THE RED ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON TO BRING IT BACK. I LOOKED IT UP ON THE INTERNET AND OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL CAR.
I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE CAR STALLED SEVERAL TIMES. I SAT ON THE SIDE LANE AND TURNED THE CAR OFF FOR A MINUTE. I STARTED IT UP AGAIN AND PROCEEDED TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY THE CAR ACCELERATED LESS THAN 20 MILES PER HOUR. MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE TERRIFIED BEFORE THE CAR STOPPED SUDDENLY AND CARS HAD TO BREAK BEHIND US TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR. I HAD TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND PUT MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON AND IT TOOK A WHILE FOR THE CAR TO START UP AGAIN FOR ME TO PULL ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. IT HAS DONE THIS MORE THAN JUST THIS INCIDENT. AT STOP LIGHTS AND WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET THE ENGINE WILL STALL AND TAKE A MINUTE TO START UP AGAIN.
NEXEN FACTORY TIRES ON FRONT BOTH HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED EARLY (BASED ON TREAD LIFE) BECAUSE OF VERY DANGEROUS CRACKING/SPLITTING ALONG THE SIDEWALL. LOCAL BIGO TIRES INSPECTED AND SHOWED ME THE PROBLEM. I REPLACED BOTH FRONT TIRES WITH IDENTICAL NEW NEXEN REPLACEMENTS. WITHIN A WEEK I THOUGHT TO RESEARCH POTENTIAL ISSUE AS THIS SPLITTING I HAVE NEVER PERSONALLY SEEN WITH A EVEN POORLY USED TIRE.
TRANSMISSION SHIFTING ISSUES ON 1ST GEAR AND WHEN DOWNSHIFTING THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM EVEN IN THE DEALERSHIP THE MECHANICS SAID THIS IS A RECALL IN PROGRESS BUT NO WEBSITE NOT EVEN MOPAR SHOWS THIS RECALL; IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND CHRYSLER IS EVADING IT. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR THERE TWICE AND THEY DO NOTHING AND TELL ME TO WAIT FOR THE RECALL LETTER; IT IS UNACCEPTABLE. THE CAR WILL OVER REV AND SHIFT ABRUPTLY TAKING OFF OR DOWNSHIFTING I FEEL LIKE I WILL HIT ANOTHER CAR ONE OF THIS DAYS OR HAVE AN ACCIDENT. SEE ATTACHED FILES I HAVE CONTACTED MOPAR AND THE DEALERSHIP TWICE WITH NO RESULTS.
RECALL ON ELECTRICAL SURGE ISSUE PERFORMED ON 4/6/2017; SINCE THEN MY AIR BAG ICON AND BELL GOES OFF AND ON AND POWER STEERING ICON POPS ON DASH. ON 4/18/2017, WENT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AND POWER STEERING ICON CAME ON AND DASH READ "POWER STEERING NOT INACTIVE". PULLED THE CAR OVER SHUT IT DOWN AND RESTARTED ICON WAS GONE CAR DROVE FINE.
MY CAR DOESN'T WANT TO COME OUT OF NEUTRAL. SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T START AND WHEN IT DOES THE PERFORMANCE SHIFTING IS NOT AVAILABLE. ALSO MY PASSENGER AIR BAG NEEDS TO BE SERVICE. AND EVERY THING THAT'S WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE CHRYSLER HAS A RECALL BUT MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED.
AS I WAS GOING DOWN THE STREET MY RADIO COMPLETELY DISABLED THEN IT CAME BACK ON AS IF IT HADN'T BEEN SET ALREADY JUMPED BACK OFF STAYED OFF THEN IT CAME BACK ON AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED(30MPH),I WAS BACKING MY CAR IN TO A PARKING SPOT ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHEN IN THE PROCESS OF DOING SO MY PARK BRAKES JUMPED ON OUT OF NO WHERE AND BROUGHT THE CAR TO A COMPLETE STOP IN ITS TRACKS(5/8MPH)

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (CHACON MOTORS IN SAN ANTONIO, TX) WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
THIS VEHICLE HAS SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING. I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK LAST NIGHT AND THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF, TELLING ME TO SHIFT TO PARK AND SELECT DESIRED GEAR. THE GEAR INDICATOR WAS STILL SHOWING I WAS IN DRIVE, BUT THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY OFF. I TRIED TO START THE CAR 3 MORE TIMES AND IT WOULDN'T START. I PURCHASED THIS CAR NOVEMBER, 21, 2015. LUCKILY I WASN'T DRIVING FAST OR ANYTHING, I WAS ABLE TO JUST SIT IN THE ROAD UNTIL THE CAR CAME BACK ON. I AM REALLY TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE ANYMORE.
THIS VEHICLE HAS SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING. I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK LAST NIGHT AND THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF, TELLING ME TO SHIFT TO PARK AND SELECT DESIRED GEAR. TAKATA RECALL A MONTH AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR IN MARCH 29,2017 MY SEATBELT LIGHT POP ON AND SHORTLY AFTER LESS THAN A WEEK OF THE SEATBELT LIGHT COMING MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON BUZZING MAKING NOISE MY BREAK WAS MAKING A NOISE SO I TOOK TO AMERICAN FINANCIAL ON WINCHESTER THAT SERVICES THE CARS BUT I WAS TOLD THERE WERE NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BREAK BUT NOW I REALLY HEAR THE BREAKS SCRUBBING THE ALSO ALL 4 TRIES WAS REPLACED WITH NEW TIRES AND SO NOW I'M DEALING WITH MY TRACKING LIGHT ON ALL THE TIME IF IT'S COLD OUTSIDE I HAVE HAD THE WORST TIME WITH THIS 2015 WITH 42125 MILAGE AND I WAS TOLD THAT NOTHING ON HERE WERE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT I HAVE A PRINTOUT THAT SHOW THAT THIS SAME SEAT BELT WAS FIXED UNDER WARRANTY 7/2016 AND OTHER THINGS WERE FIXED UNDER WARRANTY I REALLY NEED SOME ASSISTANT WITH WHAT I HAVE GOING ON BECAUSE I KNOW I SHOULDN'T HAVE ALL THESE ISSUE ON THIS CAR ALREADY
FROM JANUARY - APRIL 2017, I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE INSTANCES OF LOSING THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE OR SHIFT GEARS WHILE MAKING LEFT HAND TURNS. THE CAR THROWS UP ERROR MESSAGES REGARDING THE LOSS OF PERFORMANCE SHIFTING AND "LIGHTNING BOLT" SYMBOL. I HAVE TO COAST TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTART THE ENGINE TO GET MOVING AGAIN. THE LAST TIME IT OCCURRED, I HAD A TRUCK BEHIND ME. LUCKILY I WAS MOVING FAST ENOUGH AND WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY WITHOUT BEING INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE HAD THE CAR INTO THE LOCAL CHRYLSER DEALERSHIP ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHERE THEY HAVE THOUGHT THEY HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM IN AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. IT IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP AGAIN AND HAS BEEN FOR THE PAST MONTH AND THEY STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM.

ON A PREVIOUS OCCASION, THE SPEEDOMETER LIGHTING FLASHED INTERMITTENTLY AND CONTINUED TO FLASH AFTER THE FAILURE. ALSO AFTER THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO START AND FAILED TO SHIFT FROM THE NEUTRAL POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE GEAR SHIFT FAILED AND NEEDED TO REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
OVER THE COURSE OF THE PAST 4 MONTHS, MY VEHICLE HAS COMPLETELY LOST ALL TRANSMISSION POWER 3 TIMES. WHEN THIS OCCURS, THE INFORMATION DISPLAY READS THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES: "SERVICE TRANSMISSION," "SERVICE PARKING BRAKE," "SHIFT TO P TO SELECT A GEAR," "PERFORMANCE SHIFTING UNAVAILABLE". THESE MESSAGES WILL CONTINUE TO DISPLAY AND THE CAR LOSES ALL POWER AND WILL NOT CHANGE GEARS. THE ENGINE DOES STAY ON, BUT WILL HAVE NO THROTTLE RESPONSE AND THE CAR IS EFFECTIVELY STUCK IN NEUTRAL. EACH OF THE 3 TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED, I HAVE BEEN AT FULL SPEED, BETWEEN 45 AND 80 MPH. THE SECOND TWO TIMES IT HAS HAPPENED HAVE BEEN IN DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE LOCATIONS, JUST YESTERDAY, I LOST ALL POWER WHILE EXECUTING A LEFT HAND TURN ACROSS 3 LANES OF BUSY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THANK GOODNESS FOR THE SMALL BIT OF GRAVITY THAT PULLED ME ACROSS THE INTERSECTION BEFORE A TRAGIC ACCIDENT HAPPENED. EACH OF THE 3 TIMES, I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A CERTIFIED CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. EACH OF THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIPS HAVE TOLD ME THAT THE CAR "ISN'T THROWING ANY CODES" AND DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE A MALFUNCTION. THEY WILL FLASH A NEW TSB, RESET THE TRANSMISSION, AND SEND ME ON MY WAY, ONLY TO HAVE IT HAPPEN AGAIN AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHY. THE VEHICLE IS UNRELIABLE DUE TO THESE ONGOING POWERTRAIN STRUGGLES, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, COMPLETELY UNSAFE. IT'S CAUSED ME NEARLY 2 SERIOUS ACCIDENTS DUE TO TOTAL LACK OF CONTROL AT HIGH SPEEDS.

THE CAR HAS A SEVERAL SECOND HESITATION WHEN PLACING YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS WHEN STARTING FROM EITHER A STOPPED POSITION OR A SLOWED POSITION. THE CAR HAS STALLED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHEN GOING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, WHEN SLOWLY BACKING UP IT LOOSES POWER AND STALLS AS I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO CHANGE FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAS COME ON WHILE SLOWING DOWN COMING DOWN AN INCLINE CAUSING A CAR BEHIND ME TO HAVE TO SWERVE FROM HITTING ME MY VEHICLE WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES AN HOUR AT THE TIME. ALL OF THESE HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO CHRYSLER AND MOTORWORLD WHERE I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE.

THEN A WEEK LATER WHILE GOING 70 MPH ON INTERSTATE 35 WITH MY SON IN THE CAR I LOSS POWER STEERING AGAIN. SAME THING THO WHEN I TURNED IT OFF AND TURNED IT ON THIS TIME THE INDICATORS STAYED ON. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. WHEN THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER DROVE IT OF THE TRUCK THE POWER STEERING WAS WORKING THE INDICATOR LIGHT WAS STILL ON. THIS DEFECT IS GOING TO KILL SOMEONE.
