AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT TURNED ON EVERY TIME THE CAR STARTED. I TOOK IT TO PRESTIGE CHRYSLER AND DODGE TO SEE ABOUT IT. WHILE WAITING ON MY RIDE TO THE ENTERPRISE THERE WERE OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT. AFTER 2.5 DAYS OF WAITING THE VEHICLE WAS READY. I HAD TO ASK WHAT THE DIAGNOSIS /PROGNOSIS WAS AND PER DEVON MY SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING LOOSE UNDERNEATH THE DRIVER SEAT THAT CAUSED THE WARNING LIGHT LIT. THE PART WAS REPLACED.
THE "SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM" WARNING LIGHT COMES ON REGULARLY. I HAVE HAD THE CAR TO THE DEALER 5 TIMES FOR REPAIR. WIRES AND A SENSOR HAVE BEEN REPLACED BUT THE PROBLEM HAS RETURNED. MY LAST VISIT THEY SAID IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN FOR THEM AND THERE WAS NOTHING MORE THEY COULD DO UNLESS I RETURN WITH THE LIGHT ON. THE PROBLEM HAPPENS REGULARLY BUT INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE SEEN OTHER RECALLS WITH SIMILAR ISSUES FOR THIS CAR. IS THERE A RECALL FOR MY CAR. IF NOT, WHY? *TT *DT*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED INTERMITTENT ENGINE START UP FAILURE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE KEY FOB FAILED TO OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY, EVEN AFTER THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) WHICH SHE LINKED TO HER FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT HER VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
MY VEHICLE LOST POWER WHILE I WAS WAITING AT A STOP LIGHT.
MY CAR IS HAVING AN INTERMITTENT LOSS OF POWER TO ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS COULD CAUSE A VEHICLE TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHEREBY MY VEHICLE WAS ON THE ROAD AND SIMPLY LOSS POWER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HESITATED WHILE BEING OPERATED AT LOW SPEEDS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER DID NOT OPERATE AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ATLANTA WEST WHERE THE DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS WERE NOT DISCLOSED. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STILL EXPERIENCED HESITATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,029.
SERVICE ELEC THROTTLE CONTROL. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND MOVING, AS WERE WE RETURNING HOME VIA THE HIGHWAY. CAR KEEP JERKING. WOULD NOT SHIFT DOWN FROM "7TH" GEAR.
TAKATA RECALL WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKE IT MAKES A SPRING SOUND. WHEN YOU DRIVE THE GEAR SWITCHES BY ITSELF AND THE CAR ACCELERATES BY ITSELF.
TAMARA INFLATORS: I WAS DRIVING MY CAR WHEN I NOTICE THAT IT DIDN'T WANT TO GO NO MORE THEN 20 MILES PER HOUR SO I WAS ABLE TO GO TO A FRIENDS HOUSE THEN I TRY TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON AND IT WOULDN'T TURN ON LIKE IF MY BATTERY WAS DEAD TOOK THE BATTERY TO GET IT CHECK AND IT WAS CHARGED SO IT WASN'T MY BATTERY MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON MY CAR SOMETIMES IT JERK SOMETIME IT WOULD TAKE OFF FAST AND I WOULD PRESS ON THE GAS AND IT WOULDN'T GO ... RIGHT NOW I HAVE THE CAR AT THE DEALER SHIP CAUSE IT LOST POWER... NOTE: I WAS DRIVING AT THE TIME MY CAR WOULD ONLY GO 20 MILES PER HOUR I WAS ON A BUSY STREET I HAD TO PULL MY CAR TO THE SIDE AND DRIVE IT TO THE CLOSES PLACE TO STOP AND CHECK IT OUT...I HAD CAR BEHIND ME HONKING IT WAS A NIGHTMARE
ENGINE STALLS/CUTS OFF AT ANY MOMENT WITHOUT ANY SIGNS OR WARNINGS. THE ISSUE HAPPENED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN JULY 2016 AND THE CAR WAS WITH DEALERSHIP FOR ABOUT A MONTH. THEY GAVE BACK THE CAR 3 TIMES WITHOUT PROPER DIAGNOSIS AND IT KEPT STALLING AT DIFFERENT TIMES. I HAD TO OPEN UP A CASE AT CHRYSLER AND EXPLAIN THEM THE RISK OF DRIVING THIS VEHICLE WHEN IT CUTS OFF ON FREEWAY AND FINALLY AT 4TH ATTEMPT IT WAS FIXED. THEY MENTIONED THAT THE RECALL WHICH WAS PERFORMED IN JUNE WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY. 2017, I WENT IN FOR ANOTHER RECALL AND JUST AFTER A MONTH AGAIN IN JUNE 2017 I AM HAVING THIS ISSUE AGAIN. THE ENGINE STALLED ON ME WHEN I WAS ON FIRST LANE ON FREEWAY, AGAIN A RISK EXPERIENCE. THE CAR IS WITH DEALERSHIP SINCE LAST 15 DAYS AND THEY ARE ALSO ABLE TO RECREATE THE ISSUE. THERE IS SOMETHING REALLY WRONG WITH THIS YEAR'S MODEL AND I HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS AS WELL FROM OTHER OWNERS. I AM SELLING THIS CAR AS SOON AS THIS IS FIXED.
I WENT TO LEAVE IN MY CAR AND IT WOULDNT START, THE CAR PUT ITS SELF IN NEUTRAL AND WOULD NOT MOVE. THE EMERGENCY BREAK LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. CAR STILL WOULDN'T START. AFTER 3 HOURS THE CAR STARTES AND WAS BACK IN PARK. THE ENGINE AND PARKING LIGHT WAS AND STILL IS ON. THERE HAS BEEN RECALLS ON 2015 CHRYSLER 200'S FOR THIS ISSUE. BUT NOT MINE!!!!
THE AIRBAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD CAME ON. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER TO LEARN THAT A FAULTY PASSENGER SIDE SEAT SENSOR WAS THE CAUSE OF THE WARNING LIGHT (NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND NOT INCLUDED IN ANY APPLICABLE RECALL). HOWEVER, I LATER CONDUCTED RESEARCH ONLINE AND FOUND THAT SIMILAR 2015 CHRYSLER 200S HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS EXACT SAME ISSUE (APPARENTLY MY VIN NUMBER [XXX] WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL). THIS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AT APPROXIMATELY 60,000 MILES AND NO PREVIOUS ISSUES WE'RE NOTICED WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. ALTHOUGH THE LIGHT FIRST CAME ON INTERMITTENT... IT NOW REMAINS ON CONSTANTLY. I HAVE A ENGINE LIGHT ON THAT IS REGARDED TO A ACTIVE GRILL SHUTTER. I HAVE HAD THE DEALER LOOK AT IT AND THEY SAY THE MOTOR HAS GONE BAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACE. CAR HAS 47K MILES ON IT!!!!!! NOPE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. TODAY I GET IN MY CAR AND MY AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND SAYS TO SERVICE AIR BAG SYSTEM. WHILE DRIVING THE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND GO OFF ABOUT EVERY 2 MILES.

THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED FOR THE SUNROOF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND THE SUN ROOF MOTOR WAS RESET AND REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE SUN ROOF MOTOR FAILED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MITCHELL CHRYSLER (416 HOPMEADOW ST, SIMSBURY, CT 06070) WHERE THE AIR BAG HARNESS WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING FOR NO REASON. VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. DEALERSHIP HAS HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE ISSUE IS.
I'VE PURCHASED MY VEHICLE IN 2017. ABOUT FOUR TO FIVE MONTHS DOWN THE LINE I'VE HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE BECAUSE MY TRANSMISSION LIGHTS JUST POPS ON WHILE ON THE FREEWAY AND SWITCHES GEARS WHILE DRIVING. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY FELT NOTHING WAS WRONG BUT THIS IS AN ON GOING THING.

WHEN IT DID IT WOULD SPUTTER AND THEN STALL. 06/09/17. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON CODE P2172 FOR THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL SYSTEM AND THE CAR WOULD NOT LET ME ACCELERATE PAST 32 MPH. ONE OF THE POSSIBLE ISSUES WOULD BE AN OPEN OR SHORT IN THE WIRE HARNESS. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT IS DISCUSSED IN THE R24 RECALL HOWEVER, MY VIN IS NOT ON THE LIST YET. THIS CHRYSLER 200 MY2015 SUDDENLY FAILS TRANSMISSION INDICATING AWD NOT AVAILABLE AND FAILS TO ACCELERATE. WORKS BACK SOMETIME FOR FEW MINUTES AFTER STOP AND START ENGINE AGAIN. MAJORITY OF THE TIMES FAILS TO ACCELERATE WITH THE INDICATION OF A COLLISION IN THE DASHBOARD. ATTACHED A PICTURE ON HOW IT LOOKS. INCIDENT HAPPENED IN MANY OCCASIONS LIKE WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY AS WELL AS CITY STREET , STOPPING IN A SIGNAL LIGHT.
TAKATA RECALL MY AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN CONTINUOUSLY COMING ON AND OFF EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE PLACE OF PURCHASE AND WAS TOLD THAT SOMETHING WAS BLOCKING THE SENSOR UNDER THE SEAT WHICH HAD BEEN REMOVED AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS FIXED BUT THIS LIGHT IS STILL ON. I DON'T FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR IF I DON'T KNOW IF I HAVE WORKING AIR BAGS OR NOT. THE SUNROOF HAS ALSO MALFUNCTION TO WHERE IT WOULD NOT OPEN AND CLOSE BY PRESSING THE BUTTON I HAVE TAKEN IT TO BE FIXED 3 TIMES ALREADY. I FEEL LIKE I AM STUCK IN A DEATH TRAP WAITING TO HAPPEN.
SEVERAL RECALLS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND WE HAVE RECEIVED 2 DIFFERENT NEW TRANSMISSIONS; HOWEVER, WE CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE SLOPPY GEAR SHIFTS AND INCONSISTENT SLUGGISH ACCELERATION. WHEN ACCELERATION IS NEEDED, THE ENGINE WILL SOMETIMES REV UP TO 5000 RPMS FOR 1 TO 2 SECONDS BEFORE FEELING A HARSH SLIP INTO GEAR WHICH CAUSES THE CAR TO JERK. IN CLOSE ENCOUNTER SITUATIONS THIS LEAVES A VERY UNEASY FEELING THAT YOU ARE UNABLE TO GET OUT OF DANGER IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. THE ACTION SEEMS TO OCCUR MOST OFTEN WHEN DECELERATING QUICKLY AND THEN ACCELERATING QUICKLY AS IF THE VEHICLE IS STUCK IN TOO HIGH A GEAR FOR A SECOND OR TWO AND THEN HARSHLY DOWN SHIFTS AS YOU HAVE IT FLOORED BECAUSE IT ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE. DEALERS CAN'T ALWAYS REPRODUCE IN THE BRIEF TEST DRIVES THEY CONDUCT. RECENTLY, THEY FLASHED THE "QUICK LEARN" COMPONENT AND SAY IT NOW APPEARS TO BE DRIVING AS DESIGNED...BUT IF THIS IS THE DESIGN, IT SEEMS VERY UNSAFE.
MY AIR BAG LIGHT ALWAYS COMES ON. SAYING IT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED EVERY TIME THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT IS MOVED. MY RADIO USED TO SHUT OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING AND REBOOT LIKE IF IM STARTING THE CAR.. NOW IT DOESN'T TURN ON AT ALL. IT JUST GLITCHES. SINCE I GOT THE CAR WHEN I GO TO SWITCH GEARS THE CAR WILL SWITCH GEARS HARD. LIKE IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION.
THE FACTORY BATTERY ON THIS YEAR AND MODEL IS BAD. CAUSES THE CAR TO NOT START RANDOMLY AND COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF DURING DRIVING DUE TO THE FAULTY BATTERY.
A COUPLE WEEKS AGO MY CAR STALLED AND TOTALLY SHUT DOWN AS I WAS TURNING INTO MY DRIVEWAY. IT COMPLETELY LOCKED UP INCLUDING THE BRAKES, STEERING, TRANSMISSION AND WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING. I TRIED TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK HOWEVER THE CONTROL KNOB TO DO SO WAS LOCKED AND WOULDN'T MOVE. THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN BUT ALL THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WERE WORKING AND SEVERAL SERVICE MESSAGES CYCLED THROUGH THE DISPLAY SCREEN. MY HUSBAND HAD TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, WHICH RESET EVERYTHING AND ALLOWED US TO START THE CAR AND PULL IT OUT OF THE ROAD AND INTO THE DRIVEWAY. I CALLED CHRYSLER ROADSIDE AND MY CAR WAS TOWED TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. AFTER 3 DAYS IN THE SERVICE DEPT I WAS INFORMED THEY COULD NOT RECREATE THE ISSUE THAT CAUSED THE CAR TO TOTALLY SHUT DOWN AND LOCK UP WHILE DRIVING. THEY DROVE THE CAR, HOWEVER NO CODES WERE ACTIVE AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO GET THE CAR TO THROW A CODE WHILE THEY HAD THE VEHICLE. THEY HAVE NOW RETURNED MY CAR TO ME WITHOUT THIS MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE BEING ADDRESSED. SINCE THEY COULD NOT RECREATE THE STALLING AND SHUTDOWN THEY RETURNED THE CAR TO ME. LUCKILY THIS HAPPENED AS I WAS TURNING INTO MY DRIVEWAY AS OPPOSED TO A FEW MINUTES EARLIER WHEN I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY SURROUNDED BY OTHER VEHICLES. IT IS ALWAYS HARD TO GET RESTARTED, AND REQUIRES SEVERAL MINUTES OF TRYING. THE RADIO PROBLEMS HAPPEN WHEN STATIONARY. THE AIRBAG LIGHT US CONSTANT DURING STATIONARY AND MOVEMENT. THE ENGINE STALLS HAPPEN MOSTLY WHEN DECELERATION OR HARD TURNS OR BRAKING. SOMETIMES A RED LIGHT WITH LIGHTENJNG BOLT APPEARS ON DASH AND THE CAR WILL RIDE VERY ROUGH UNTIL TURNED OFF AND TURNED BACK ON
THE CAR HAS STALLED ON ME MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE IN MOTION AND TWICE WHILE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. IT HAS OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY AS WELL AS STATIONERY ROADS. I HAD IT TOWED TO CHRYSLER ON 5/16/17 AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE OR FIND THE PROBLEM. I PICKED IT UP ON 5/23/17 & THE CAR HAS STALLED ON ME THREE TIMES SINCE THEN. I DO NOT HAVE ANY PICTURES; HOWEVER, I WAS ABLE TO CAPTURE A VIDEO.
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ONE MORNING AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. SO I WAITED A FEW DAYS AND TOOK IT TO COLLIERVILLE CHRYSLER SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON MAY 30,2017, THIS IS WHAT WAS DONE. "CEL: DRIVABILITY/ CHECK ENGINE LIGHT PERFORM DTC INSPECTION, SMOKE TEST,TIGHTENED GAS CAP AND RAN PRESSURE TEST, PASSED" AND I WAS GOOD TO GO. THEN IN SEPTEMBER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AN GAS CAP LIGHT CAN ON AGAIN SO I WENT BACK TO THE COLLIERVILLE CHRYSLER SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 9-12-2017, THEY DID THE SAME CHECK AS ABOVE EXCEPT THEY SAID I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE GAS CAP SO I PAID FOR A NEW GAS CAP. THEN 2 DAYS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPEN AGAIN SO I CALLED THEM AND GOT THE RUN AROUND. SO AFTER RIDING AROUND WITH THE LIGHTS ON FOR WEEKS I DECIDED TO GO BACK ON 10-09-2017 TO SEE IF THEY GET THIS RESOLVED. COLLIERVILLE CHRYSLER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOOK THE CAR AND SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. THEN 2 DAYS LATER IT HAPPEN AGAIN THE GAS CAP LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. IT MUST BE A PROBLEM WITH THE CAR. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. MY CAR WAS ALWAYS IN MOTION EVERY TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT/ GAS CAP LIGHT CAME ONW.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO OURISMAN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE OF ALEXANDRIA LOCATED AT 5900 RICHMOND HWY, ALEXANDRIA, VA 22303, PHONE NUMBER: 703-329-1600 WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING A NEW ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MODULE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE FOR REPAIRS AND THE DEALER NEEDED TO ORDER THE MODULE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD THREE RECALLS SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN 2015 AS ONE OF THE RECALLS WAS TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.
SOMETIMES WHEN I START MY CAR AND PUT CAR INTO DRIVE THE EMERGENCY BREAK ENGAGES. I HAVE TO PRESS BUTTON TO RELEASE EMERGENCY BREAK.
WHILE IN MOTION, THIS CAR WILL SHIFT VIOLENTLY INTO 3RD GEAR AS WELL AS 5TH GEAR. THE ENTIRE CAR JOLTS FORWARD WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR MANY DIVERS OF THIS VEHICLE WHEN DOING A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH. WHY HAS NOTHING BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE? THIS IS NOT A ONE TIME EVENT. IT IS A DAILY EVENT. IT HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING THE CAR ON ANY CITY STREET OR HIGHWAY.

IN THE MORNINGS WHEN I WOULD TRY AND START IT THE GEAR SHIFT SIGNAL LIGHTS WOULD GO CRAZY .. THE MORNING IT DIED ON ME I TRIED TO START IT THE CAR WAS COMPLETE SHUT DOWN MODE ROADSIDE CAME IT TOOK US 45 MINS TO START IT WHEN IT STARTED THE CAR WAS STUCK IN NEUTRAL AND WOULD NOT SWITCH OUT THE CAR LIGHTS LOCKS EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL STARTED FLICKERING LIKE CRAZY TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER THEY SAID THAT THEY HAD THREE OTHER IDENTICAL CARS TO MINE THAT WAS JUST BROUGHT IN WITH EXACT ISSUE THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A COMPUTER GLITCH AND IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY I PAID 400$ PICKED IT UP AND TWO HOURS LATER THE CAR STARTED DOING EXACT SAME THING THEN SHUT OFF COMPLETELY IN MIDDLE HIGHWAY GOT IT PUSHED TO GAS STATION AND THE BATTERY WAS CRACKED IN HALF LEAKING ACID AND THE CAR WAS STUCK IN NEUTRAL AGAIN AND COMPLETELY LOCKED DOWN.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,933.
