THERE HAS BEEN NO INCIDENT. I'M JUST CONCERNED ABOUT HOW MUCH MORE TIME I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT/PART. I RECEIVED MY NOTICE ON JUNE 22, 2015 AND SINCE THEN THERE HAS BEEN NO RESPONSE OR OTHER NOTIFICATION. SHOULD I CONTACT THE DEALERSHIPS TO SEE IF THEY HAVE IT OR JUST CONTINUE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER NOTICE FROM THE NHTSA? REALLY WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU REGARDING THIS MATTER. I HAVE TO DRIVE CHILDREN TO AND FROM DAYCARE AND LORD KNOWS I DON'T NEED ANYTHING TO HAPPEN TO ME DURING ONE OF THESE TRIPS. JUST ENTERED DATE BECAUSE IT WAS REQUIRED. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED WITH THE AIRBAG AT THIS TIME.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE PULLEY FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
2005 CHRYSLER 300. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO UNSATISFACTORY REPAIR SERVICES AT DEALERSHIP. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER IN RESPONSE TO A RECALL NOTICE. THE DEALER CHARGED THE CONSUMER $67 AND TOLD HIM THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RECALL THEY ALSO CLAIMED TO HAVE PERFORMED THE RECALL SERVICE FIX. ON THE WAY HOME, SHE NOTICED THE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS WERE NO LONGER WORKING PROPERLY. A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER, SHE STARTED TO HEAR A CRUNCHING, GRINDING SOUND WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TURNED. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DID CONFIRM, THE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING. HOWEVER, HE STATED IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AIR BAG SERVICE. AN INSPECTION REVEALER A BROKEN CLOCK SPRING IN THE STEERING COLUMN. *JB

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE CRUISE CONTROL INDEPENDENTLY DEACTIVATED. THE CONTACT HAD TO MANEUVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE MALFUNCTION WARNING INDICATOR WAS NO LONGER ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER A FEW MINUTES AND RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED THREE OTHER TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.

THE CONTACT PROVIDED THE NOTICE TO THE DEALER AND THEY DID NOT INDICATE WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE TO RECEIVE THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT DUE TO THE DEALER NOT ADDRESSING THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED TO BE TAKEN BACK AGAIN FOR ANOTHER RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE.
I WAS UNABLE TO GET THE CAR OUT OF PARK. THE GEAR SHIFT WAS STUCK IN PARK. I CONTACTED THE DEALER WHO SAID THERE WAS A RECALL BUT DID NOT INCLUDE MY VIN. HE TOLD ME HOW TO BYPASS THE PROBLEM TO DRIVE IT TO A MECHANIC. THE SHIFT ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED AT A COST OF $427.08. I WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSED OR KNOW WHY MY CAR WAS NOT IN THE RECALL.

I GOT FUEL IN MY VEHICLE APPROX. 3/4 OF A TANK AFTER FUELING MY VEHICLE STALLED WHEN I TRIED TO DRIVE IT. I HAVE PREVIOUSLY REPLACED THE PURGE SOLENOID, THE PCM, AND THE EGR VALVE. THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO HAVE MULTIPLE PROBLEMS AND HAS LEFT ME STRANDED MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT.

THIS IS THE SECOND RECALL LETTER I HAVE RECEIVED. I MAILED IT IN JULY AROUND THE MIDDLE OF THE MONTH,NOW I HAVE RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL LETTER. I DON;T WANT TO WAIT UNTIL MY AIR BAGS DEPLOY. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AFTER FULLY FILLING THE GAS TANK, THE CAR WILL COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE EITHER AT IDLE, OR AT LOW SPEED. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, IT GAVE A CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT WITH A FAULT CODE TO CHECK THE FUEL CAP. ON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE FUEL CAP WAS PROPERLY SEATED. NOW, WHEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURS, IT NO LONGER GIVES THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT INDICATION. THE PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS LESS THAN COMPLETELY FULL. THE PROBLEM IS IDENTICAL TO THE PROBLEM NHTSA INVESTIGATED IN 2006 CHRYSLER 300S RESULTING IN CHRYSLER EXTENDING THE FUEL TANK WARRANTY TO LIFETIME COVERAGE. THIS IS A DANGEROUS PROBLEM, AS WHEN THE CAR DIES, ALL POWER IS LOST TO THE CAR TO INCLUDE STEERING AND BRAKING. TYPICALLY THIS OCCURS AT A STOP LIGHT, BUT COULD HAPPEN IN A MUCH MORE DANGEROUS POSITION.
I ATTEMPTED TO START MY CAR AND IT MADE A SOUND AND WOULD NOT TURN OVER. I HAD MY HUSBAND CHECK TO SEE IF THE BATTERY WAS DEAD AND HE INFORMED ME THE BATTERY WAS FINE. WE ATTEMPTED TO START IT AGAIN AND YOU COULD TELL HOW IT WANTED TO START BUT WOULD NOT TURN OVER. ONCE I TURNED THE KEY OFF I NOTICED A RED LIGHT WITH A LIGHTNING BOLT IN THE MIDDLE OF BACKWARDS PARENTHESES. )Z( KIND OF LIKE THIS! THE CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY WHILE DRIVING AT 65MPH!! IT IS A MIRACLE NO OTHER CAR CRASHED INTO US AND KILLED US. IT ALSO STALLS ON THE STREETS AND AFTER FILLING IT UP WITH GAS. WARNING DASH LIGHTS/SIGNALS (SERVICE ENGINE, OIL, ESP. SERVICE BREAK ASSIST SYSTEM , SPEEDOMETER FLUXUATED ETC) ENGINE STALLED. I COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN REAR ENDED HAD THERE BEEN OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND ME. THIS HAPPENED A COUPLE MORE TIMES SINCE THAT DATE. ON 7/22/15 TOOK VEHICLE TO CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP , NEWARD DE. FOR THEM TO CHECK AND FIX. ON 7/31/15 DEALERSHIP CALLED ME STATED PROBLEM WAS FIXED THEY HAD REPLACED PTS MODULE AND SHIFTER. I DIDN'T EVEN GET IT OFF THE LOT, STARTED VEHICLE UP AND ABOVE MENTIONED LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN. THE MECHANIC (DROVE) AND I WENT FOR A TEST DRIVE. SERVICE ENGINE AND OTHER DASH WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. MECHANIC TOOK CAR BACK TO SHOP STATED HE RESET SOME CODES AND VEHICLE WAS FIXED. I WAS CHARGED $868.00 FOR SAID REPAIR AND OIL CHANGE. I DROVE VEHICLE OFF LOT.... ABOUT TWO MINUTES INTO DRIVING SAME PROBLEMS OCCURRED AND VEHILCE STALLED AGAIN. TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO DEALER.. STILL THERE. THEY STATE THEY ARE TRYING TO FIND THE PROBLEM.. WHILE CHECKING THE WEB I FOUND THAT MANY,,, MANY OF THESE CAR OWNERS HAVE REPORTED THIS SAME PROBLEM WHICH IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ISSUE AND YET NO RECALL.. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY. DO PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE FIRST BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT THIS. PLEASE TAKE SOME ACTION ON THIS.

AFTER FILLING FUEL TANK: VEHICLE STALLED TWICE WHILE DRIVING. DIFFICULT RESTARTS. THIS OCCURRED ON TWO OCCASIONS. AT THE SECOND OCCASION, AFTER FILLING, I COULD HEAR PROLONGED "GURGLING" SOUND FROM FUEL TANK FILLER NECK. I AM CONVINCED THAT THIS ISSUE HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FUEL TANK VENTING SYSTEM - PERHAPS A CLOGGED VENT TUBE.

MY GEAR SHIFT IS STUCK IN PARK AND THE PLASTIC PINK PART HAVE BROKEN OFF. THIS PART SHOULD BE RECALLED. I COULD HAVE BEEN STUCK ANY WHERE WITH MY CHILDERN IN THE CAR. THE WEAHTER IS GETTING WARM AND ITS NOT A GOOD THING. WHO EVER IS LISTENING PLEASE RE-CALL THIS PART BECAUSE ITS PLASTIC AND IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE OUT OF METAL.
