TAKATA RECALL THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN LISTED SINCE 2014 AND THERE HAS BEEN NO DEFINITE FIX HERE. MY VEHICLE IN PARTICULAR HAS BEEN CONSTANTLY CHIMING WITH A VISIBLE WARNING LIGHT SINCE NOVEMBER 2015! THIS IS VERY UNSAFE! I AM EXTREMELY AFRAID TO CONTINUE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE! MARCH OF 2017 IS THE BEST CHANCE THEY SAY WE COULD RECEIVE A FIX! MY 2005 CHRYSLER 300 MILAGE 103,269 IS HAVING PROBLEMS DECELERATING WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. IT'S BEEN TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES NOW AND THEY SAID NOTHING IS WRONG. WHEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURS IT WON'T GO OVER 200RPMS. I LET IT SET AND THE NEXT DAY IT'LL BE FINE AGAIN UNTIL I DRIVE IT FOR A BIT. THE LIGHTING BOLT LOOKING LIGHT STSYS ON. THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY, POWER CONTROL MODULE, MODULE POWER TRAIN CONTROL AND T/BODY. $1800.00 LATER AND THE COMPLAINING TO 3000+ CUSTOMERS AT MY WORK I WISH I WOULD OF NEVER PURCHASED A CHRYSLER. THEY ARE THE WORST PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. AFTER DRIVING BY THE DEALERSHIP ON MY WAY TO WORK FOR TWO WEEKS AND LOOKING AT MY CAR SIT I WAS FURIOUS. $750.00 FOR A RENTAL FOR THREE WEEKS (A MONTH AGO) AND NOW STILL NO CAR! I'VE BEEN STUCK WAITING FOR A RIDE, MISSED WORK AND MISSED BALL GAMES FOR MY KIDS OVER THIS PROBLEM. I'M JUST THANKFUL I'VE MANAGED TO NOT GET INTO A WRECK OVER THIS SINCE I'VE READ OTHERS HAVE. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS THE POWER RESUMED ONCE THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
STALLS AFTER REFUELING FREQUENTLY CREATING A DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE AS IT OFTEN OCCURS IN TRAFFIC.
EVERY TIME I COMPLETELY FILL MY TANK MY CAR WILL OCCASIONALLY STALL AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS OR DRIVING. AFTER A FEW TIMES RESTARTING THE ENGINE IT WILL BE FINE UNTIL I FILL THE TANK AGAIN. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MOSTLY WHEN THE TANK GOES BELOW 1 QUARTER OF THE TANK. I HAVE SEEN COMPLAINTS BEFORE FROM OTHER MAKES ABOUT A FUEL FLOAT VALVE IN THE TANK THAT CAN SEND A SIGNAL TO YOUR COMPUTER THAT THE TANK IS EMPTY AND SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. WHY IS THIS NOT A RECALL FOR THIS MODEL? THERE IS DEFINITELY A DANGER IN TRAFFIC SITUATIONS.

CAR WILL JUST STOP RUNNING WHILE DRIVING. LIGHTS ON DASH WILL ALL LIGHT UP THEN CAR JUST CUTS. HAVE TAKEN TO 3 MECHANICS WITH NO WNSWER. HAVE REPLACED BATTERYX2 TRANSMISSION AND STARTER. THIS HAPPENED AS I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR
NORMAL DAY DRIVING MY VEHICLE. DROVE APPROXIMATELY 24 MILES TO A SHOPPING CENTER IN THE CITY. TURNED THE IGNITION CAR STARTED AS EXPECTED. CAR THEN DIED UNEXPECTEDLY. ATTEMPTED TO GET IT STARTED TO NO AVAIL. CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND HAD THE VEHICLE TAKEN TO A TRUSTED ASE CERTIFIED MECHANIC A COUPLE MILES AWAY. GET A CALL LATER STATING THE ENGINE IS DAMAGED! MECHANIC STATED THAT THESE CARS ARE WELL KNOWN FOR DROPPING VALVES. I PROCEED TO ASK WHAT'S THE DAMAGE? THESE WORDS I WOULD LEARN TO REGRET... I WAS GIVEN A QUOTE OF $4000-$7000 DEPENDING ON HOW MANY PARTS WERE AFFECTED BY THIS ONE FAILED PIECE. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN FORUMS ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE ALSO. HOW IS IT A COMPANY DOESN'T ACKNOWLEDGE A MAJOR PROBLEM LIKE THIS AND GET AWAY WITH IT? I WAS FORCED TO GET A $6000 LOAN TO FIX A CAR WITH 101K... YEA 1,000 MILES OVER WARRANTY! I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER 300 TOURING EDITION, THE DRIVER'S SIDE TENSION STRUT FAILED CAUSING MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKES TO FAIL. DUE TO THE FAILURE I HAD TO SWERVE OFF OF THE ROAD INTO A SMALL DITCH DAMAGING MY UNDERCARRIAGE AND FENDER WELLS.
MY TURN SIGNALS AT FIRST WERE NOT CANCELING, AND THEN STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. HOWEVER, THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL IS STUCK IN THE ON POSITION AND FLASHES CONTINUOUSLY. ALSO, AFTER DRIVING FOR ONE MILE AN ALERT SIGNAL STARTS DINGING CONTINUOUSLY TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOUR SIGNAL IS STILL ON AND IT NEVER GOES OFF. I HAVE HAD TO REMOVE MY TURN SIGNAL BULBS COMPLETELY SO THEY WOULD NOT CONTINUOUSLY FLASH ON THE OUTSIDE. THIS WHOLE SITUATION IS UNSAFE BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE ANY USE OF MY TURN SIGNALS, AND EVEN THOUGH I USE HAND SIGNALS PEOPLE JUST AREN'T LOOKING FOR THAT . I HAVE EVEN BEEN PULLED OVER BY THE POLICE FOR FAILING TO USE MY TURN SIGNAL EVEN THOUGH I WAS USING MY HAND SIGNAL. ALSO, IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION I HAVE NO USE OF MY HAZARD LIGHTS(FLASHERS). CONTACTED MULT DEALERSHIPS IN MY AREA AND SURROUNDING WITH NO SOLUTION (NO PARTS IN HOUSE OR THE ABILITY TO RECEIVE PARTS) ONE YEAR AGO. MY LAST ATTEMPT WAS A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO WITH THE SAME CONCERN. CONTACTED THE RECALL SAFETY HOTLINE. THE AGENT CALLED AROUND TO ASSIST WITHOUT SOLUTION. I WAS ADDED TO MULTIPLE WAITING LIST WITH OUT ANY FOLLOW UP BY MAIL OR PHONE. I RECEIVED MULT RECALL NOTICES AS LATE AS LAST WEEK. I WAS ADVISED A YEAR AGO NOT TO DRIVE MY CARE THUS SITTING IN THE GARAGE. I THEN STRONGLY REQUESTED A COMPLIMENTARY OIL CHANGE AND WHEEL REPAIR (FLAT TIRE DUE TO SITTING FOR ONE YEAR) WHICH WAS GRANTED. I NEED THESE RECALLS TO BE COMPLETED R25 AND SS43 RECTIFIED SO THAT I CAN USE MY CARE. MY CAR HAS NEVER BEEN INSPECTED ONCE FOR THIS MATTER IN ONE YEAR SINCE RECEIVING NOTIFICATIONS OF RECALLS. WAS TOLD BY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER 6 WEEKS AGO THAT ALL REPAIR SLOTS WERE FULL UP AND TO CALL BACK EARLY OCTOBER. CALLED BACK TODAY (SEP 29) AND THEY NOW SAY THAT THEY HAVEN'T AS YET RECEIVED THE REPAIR PARTS AND TO CALL BACK IN A FEW WEEKS. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO GET A REPAIR?
ON SEPT. 28, 2015, THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN ON A LOCAL ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH. THE FOLLOWING LIGHTS BECAME ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD, ESP/BAS AND THEN THE VOLTAGE OR VOLT LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN THE VEHICLE STALLS OUT. THE VEHICLE WILL RESTART . AFTER GETTING THE VEHICLE GOING AGAIN, IT STALLED OUT SEVERAL MORE TIMES INCLUDING A MAJOR HIGHWAY AND CROSSING A BRIDGE AT 50 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE CHRYSLER DEALER AND WAS THERE FOR A WEEK AND A HALF WITH NOTHING BEING DIAGNOSED AS A PROBLEM WITH IT STALLING OUT. THE FOLLOWING CODES WERE STORED IN THE COMPUTER. P1618, P1628 & P0441. THE VEHICLE DID STALL OUT FOUR TIMES WHILE DRIVING TO THE DEALER. THERE WAS A NEAR MISS COLLISION AS I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED WHEN MAKING A RIGHT TURN TO MERGE INTO A TRAFFIC LANE. THE VEHICLE STALLED OUT AND I HAD TO DRIFT TO THE SHOULDER.
THE VEHICLE'S HEADLIGHTS, DASH, AND INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD FLICKER, SOMETIMES THEY WOULD JUST SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. COLD START, IDLING, ACCELERATING, AND WHILE BRAKING. THERE IS A TSB (18-003-05) DETAILING THIS ISSUE. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SAFETY RELATED ISSUE AND REPAIRS SHOULD BE HANDLED BY THE MANUFACTURER.

WE HAVE BEEN TRYING SINCE FEBRUARY TO GET THE RECALL INSTALLED, R25. WE HAVE HAD NO SUCCESS. WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER TO HOLD A DEVICE AND THEY LET IT GO EVEN THOUGH WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT.
MY 2005 300C STALLS WHILE IN MOTION AND WHEN STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AFTER FILLING UP THE GAS TANK, AND IS EXHIBITING PROBLEMS SIMILAR TO THOSE DESCRIBED IN YOUR PE13016 REPORT WHICH COVERS A RECALL OF 2006 CHRYSLER 300CS WHICH HAVE THE SAME 19 GALLON TANK AS MY CAR. THIS IS A DANGEROUS CONDITION THAT CONTINUES TO OCCUR. HOW CAN I GET THE CAR REPAIRED (WHICH IT SOUNDS LIKE INVOLVES FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT) BY FIAT CHRYSLER AT NO CHARGE TO ME? THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS GETTING STUCK IN THE PARK POSITION AND THAT A SOFTWARE UPDATE WOULD HAVE TO BE DONE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V240000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.

CAR DIES AFTER FUELING. IT WILL SPUTTER THEN DIE, IT WILL ALSO DIE WHILE COMING TO A STOP. AFTER REFUELING IT SPUTTERS AND DIES AT GAS STATION BUT IT CAN HAPPEN WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF MILES. IT WILL DIE WHILE PULLING OUT IN TRAFFIC AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. READING ON LINE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND NO ONE CAN FIGURE IT OUT. IT ALSO WILL NOT ALWAYS GO BACK INTO GEAR AFTER IT DIES.
ACCELERATOR PEDAL GETS STUCK ON CHRYSLER 300 C AND CAR KEEPS ON ACCELERATING. EVEN WHEN SLAMMING THE BRAKES THE CAR KEEPS ACCELERATING. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY PROBLEM. WE CALLED CHRYSLER TO REPORT THE INCIDENT AND THERE IS NO RECALL OR SOLUTION PROPOSED. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM SINCE THE CAR HAS A 5.7 LITER ENGINE AND ACCELERATION CAN BE VERY FORCEFUL. PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE HURT BECAUSE OF THIS. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR SIMILAR PROBLEM ON OTHER VEHICLES FROM THE CHRYSLER COMPANY BUT NOT FOR THAT VEHICLE.
MY HEADLIGHTS FLICKERS ON AND OFF. THIS HAZARD ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE LIGHTS GOES FROM DIM TO OFF AT ANY MOMENT WHILE I'M DRIVING OR IF MY CAR IS STANDING STILL. ALSO, MY SIGNAL LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING OUT OF CONTROL. SOMETIMES OTHER DRIVERS CAN SEE THAT I' SIGNALING TO TURN AND SOMETIMES THEY CAN'T. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT MY LIGHTS ARE FINE. EVIDENTLY, THIS IS ONE OF CHRYSLER'S DEFECTS. IN ADDITION, I'VE TROUBLE WITH MY FRONT END WHEELS ON MY CAR. I'VE HAD TO GET THE BEARING THAT KEEPS YOUR CAR GOING STRAIGHT WHILE DRIVING REPLACED.
