TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING SERVICED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, IT WAS OBSERVED THAT THE SUBFRAME AND ENGINE CRADLE WERE SEVERELY CORRODED AND THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A BODY SHOP, AND WAS REPAIRED AT A COST OF $1905.98. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 110,000. UPDATED 08/16/16.*JB
CAR STALLED OUT WHILE DOING 70 MPH ON FREEWAY WITHOUT ANY WARNINGS FROM ONBOARD SYSTEMS WARNING. LIMPED VEHICLE TO SIDE OF ROAD. CAR WOULD START BACK UP, BUT WOULD STALL OUT THE ENTIRE 5 MILES BACK TO MY HOUSE. HAVE BEEN APPREHENSIVE TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHY VEHICLE IS DOING THIS. VEHICLE HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY GARAGE SINCE THIS INCIDENT. I HAD JUST HAD CAR AT DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE GAS TANK AND DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG A WEEK PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND HASN'T GONE OFF SINCE THE REPLACEMENT OF GAS TANK. HAVE CONTACTED ANOTHER CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT, BUT DON'T FEEL LIKE CAR WILL BE SAFE TO DRIVE TO THEIR LOCATION. I'M DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO CHANCE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AGAIN. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK IT WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK INTO ANY OTHER GEAR. THERE IS A RECALL TO FIX THIS ON MY YEAR AND MODEL CAR BUT I AM BEING TOLD MY PARTICULAR VIN # IS NOT ON THE LIST. LEVER, SHIFTER INTERLOCK, STARTING TO EXPERIENCE THE VEHICLE NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVER THE SELECTION LEVER FROM PARK TO OPERATING GEAR LIKE DRIVE OR REVERSE. THERE IS A RECALL BUT NOT FOR ALL CHRYSLER 300 (ACCORDING TO THE DEALER, HOLDEN DODGE, IN DOVER, DELAWARE. VEHICLE MALFUNCTIONS OCCURS WHEN STATIONARY. THIS HAS OCCURRED 4 TIMES, LATEST BEING 9 JUNE 2016. THERE IS 78000 MILES ON THIS CAR. 1 OWNER
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING AND WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. TAKATA RECALL. I PURCHASE A 2006 CHRYSLER 300 C FROM UXURAY AUTO IN GEORGIA. NOT KNOWING THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON SAID VEHICLE. ON JUNE 6TH 2016 ON MY WAY TO BURY MY MOTHER IN SC. THE AIR BAGS EXPLODED IN THE CAR AS WAS APPROCHING A RED LIGHT IN BARNWELL SC. BLINDING ME, CAUSING ME TO SIDE SWIPE THE CAR STOP AT THE RED LIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. I REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO CHRYSLER . CHRYSLER AFTER INVESTIGATION AGREE TO REPAIR MY CAR WITH A FIFTY DOLLOR A DAY RENTAL. I WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL IN AUGUSTA GA, BY AMBLUNACE. A MR. AUBIN ATTORNY FROM CHRYSLER LATER STATES THAT THE CAR WOULD NOT BE REPAIR UNTIL THE BODILY INJURY CLAIM WAS SETTLED. THIS HAPPEN ON JUNE 7 2016, TO THIS DATE CHRYSLER HAVE NOT REPAIR OUR CAR. IN ORDER TO GET MY CAR REPAIRED I HAD TO SIGN A HARMLESS RELEASE FOR CHRYSLER. UNDER DURESS I SIGNED THE RELEASE. ONE WHOLE YEAR CHRYSLER HAVE NOT REPAIRED THIS CAR . I REQUESTED THAT THEY BUY THE CAR BACK/ AND PAY ME FOR LOST OF USE OF OUR VEHCILE,. HE SAID IN ORDER TO GET THE CAR REPAIRED/ I MUST SIGN A RELEASE OF ALL HARMS. NO ATTORNEY WOULD TAKE THIS CASE, THEY SAY IT IS NOT WORTH THAT MUCH FOR THEM. 1 WHOLE YEAR AND CHRYSLER HAS OUR CAR, WE WERE FORCE INTO BUYING ANOTHER CAR YET STILL PAYING FOR THE CHRYSLER. IS THIS THE LAW? CAN CHRYSLER GET AWAY WITH THIS? FORCING US TO DO WHAT WE DON;T WANT TO DO? CHRYSLER HAS OFFERED ME 8.000 TO SIGN THE HARMLESS RELEASE AND THEN THEY WILL GIVE ME MY CAR BACK AFTER ONE YEAR OF SUFFERING, IS THIS RIGHT? HELP ME PLEASE, WE HAVE NO ONE ELSE TO TURN TO FOR HELP. CAR WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK AND DID MY OWN RESEARCH TO FIND OUT IT'S COMMON ON CHRYSLERS. WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN RECALLED?
TAKATA RECALL: MY COMPLAINT IS NOT WITH THE CHRYLSER CORPORATION ITSELF, MY COMPLAINT IS THE WAY THAT DEALERSHIPS (ANCIRA CHRYSLER AND INGRAM PARK CHRYSLER) ARE HANDLING IT. I AM ACTIVELY TRYING TO GET MY CHRYSLER 300 AIRBAG REPLACED, AND I KEEP RECEIVING NOTICES FROM CHRYSLER TO GET IT DONE - AND IN THE NOTICES IT SAYS THAT IT TAKES 2 HOURS TO BE REPLACED. WHEN I CONTACT A DEALER TO GET IT DONE, THEY TELL ME THAT THEY DO NOT ACCEPT APPOINTMENTS FOR THIS RECALL, THEY ARE 4-6 WEEKS AWAY FROM GETTING TO MY VEHICLE, I WILL HAVE TO LEAVE MY VEHICLE THERE FOR 3-5 DAYS, AND THEY WILL CALL ME WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE - BUT THEY NEVER DO. THE CHRYSLER REPRESENTATIVE EVEN HELPED ME CALL THEM AND THEY NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE. THEY ARE PURPOSELY TRYING TO DISSUADE PEOPLE FROM GETTING IT DONE. I AM A WORKING SINGLE PARENT, WITH ONE VEHICLE - IT'S ALL I CAN AFFORD. I DON'T WANT MY FACE BLOWN OFF BY MY AIRBAG, BUT I DON'T WANT TO LOSE MY JOB EITHER. WHAT THE DEALERSHIPS ARE DOING IS IRRESPONSIBLE, DESPICABLE AND SHOULD BE PROHIBITED. THEY ARE NOT PUTTING ANY PRIORITY INTO THE RESOLUTION OF THIS RECALL - AND ARE AS GUILTY AS CHRYSLER IN THEIR COVER UP OF THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS.

I SEE DOUBLE IN MY DRIVER SIDE MIRROR (AUTO DIM). I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE NO MATTER HOW MANY MILES OR HOW OLD THE CAR IS AND SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF BY CHRYSLER FREE OF CHARGE.
I HAVE RECEIVED (SEVERAL) NOTICE ABOUT MY AIR BAG INFLATOR HOUSING HAVING TO BE REPLACED. I'VE BEEN TO THE DEALER. THE REPLACEMENT PART ISN'T AVAILABLE. IT'S BEEN MORE THAN A YEAR AND NO ONE IS CONCERNED EXCEPT ME. I FEEL LIKE I'M NOT SAFE, I DRIVE 100 MILES A DAY (ROUND TRIP ) FOR WORK. WHAT IF ANYTHING CAN I DO? STOPPED FOR GAS. WHEN I TRIED TO START THE CAR, IT WOULD NOT START. I HAD IT TOWED HOME. THEN HAD IT TOWED TO MECHANIC. I WAS TOLD THE ENGINE WAS SHOT. THE CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 56,000 MILES ON IT. ...UPDATED 03/13/17 *BF
I AM UNABLE TO GET THE GEAR SHIFT OUT OF PARK. WE HAVE TRIED BOTH OF THE SHIFT OVERRIDE BUTTONS AND NOTHING IS WORKING. I JUST HAD THE CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP LAST WEEK FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL AS WELL AS A COUPLE OF SHOCK ISSUES ON THE TRUNK AND HOOD. THEY ALSO REPLACED THE POWER STEERING HOSE, AS THEY SAID IT WAS LEAKING. I DROVE THE CAR HOME, PARKED IT IN THE GARAGE AND NOW IT WILL NOT COME OUT OF PARK. I CAN'T HELP BUT THINK THEY MESSED SOMETHING UP WHEN THEY REPLACED THE POWER STEERING HOSE. THE TOWING COMPANY (AAA) SAYS THEY HAUL ABOUT 5 - 6 OF THIS EXACT ISSUE EACH MONTH!

THE CAR WILL STALL UNEXPECTEDLY. OFTEN WHEN IDLING AT A STOPLIGHT, AND SOMETIMES WHEN I AM DRIVING THE OIL LIGHT WARNING COMES ON, THE ENGINE CUTS OUT, AND POWER STEERING CEASES TO WORK. I MUST RESTART THE CAR AND REV THE ENGINE BEFORE PROCEEDING, IT HAS YET TO HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS ON THE FREEWAY. ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION I HAVE HAD THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP MECHANICS LOOK AT THE CAR, AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS, USUALLY WITH INCREASED FREQUENCY AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK TO FULL. TO REITERATE, OFTEN WHEN I AM IDLING AT A STOPLIGHT THE CHRYSLER 300 STALLS. BUT THIS SOMETIMES HAPPENS WHEN I AM IN MOTION DRIVING DOWN A ROAD AS WELL. THE MECHANICS I HAVE HAD LOOK AT MY CAR HAVE FOUND NOTHING WRONG. BUT IT USUALLY HAPPENS WITH GREATER FREQUENCY RIGHT AFTER I FILL THE GAS TANK TO FULL.

I OWN A 2006 CHRYSLER 300C. SINCE 2013, I HAVE EXPERIENCED ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE STALLING WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS. THE CAR STOPS COMPLETELY, SOMETIMES RESTARTING ON ITS OWN, SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT. CHRYSLER REPLACED THE FUEL TANK IN 2015, STATING THAT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE ISSUE, BUT THE CAR CONTINUES TO STALL. MOST RECENTLY, IT STOPPED WHILE MERGING ONTO A BUSY HIGHWAY, WHILE DRIVING WITH MY WIFE AND CHILDREN IN THE CAR. THE CAR RANDOMLY TURNS OFF, NO WARNING. NOW THE VEHICLE STOPPED AND REFUSES TO START AT ALL.

I TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER AND THEY TOLD ME I JUST NEEDED NEW BRAKES. I SHIP IT FROM HAWAII TO NEW YORK AND THE MECHANIC REPLACE THE SENSOR IT WAS FINE FOR A WEEK. I DROVE IT TO VA FOR MANDATORY TRAINING AND IT COMPLETELY DIE ON ME BACK TO DRIVING UNDER 28 MPH. MY CAR IS STATIONARY IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD IN VA BECAUSE IT WILL NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG...*BF *TR

WOULD ONLY RESTART WITH FOOT ON GAS AND RAN VERY ROUGH. TOOK IT TO FIRESTONE AND THEY SAID THAT THE VALVE/CYLINER #5 DROPPED. ENGINE IS SHOT, UNLESS I PAY TO HAVE IT RE-BULT OR REPLACED. CAR IS NOT EVEN WORTH IT. ALREADY HAD TO HAVE A RE-BULT TRANSMISSION ON CAR AT 68,000 MILES. CAR IS A JOKE AND SO IS CHRYSLER, NEVER BUYING ANOTHER ONE OF THEIR PRODUCTS AGAIN. OIL WAS CHANGED REGULARLY. HORRIBLE MANUFACTURING IN THIS CAR, FROM ENGINE TO TRANS TO GAS TANK ISSUE TO ELECTICAL. CAR IS A LEMON.
