TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STARTED THE IGNITION, AND THE GEAR SELECTOR FAILED TO SHIFT INTO THE "DRIVE" POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THAT THE CAUSE OF FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE GEAR SHIFTER. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000. UPDATED 10/27/10. *LJ
PROBLEM # 1--2007 CHRYSLER 300 HEMI ENGINE SHOULD BE RECALLED FOR THE BRAKE SHIFTER COMPONENT. RECENTLY THE CAR LOCKED IN PARK, AND COULD NOT BE TAKEN OUT OF PARK WITHOUT USING A SCREWDRIVER TO RELEASE IT AFTER REMOVING THE DRIVE SHIFTER PANEL. PROBLEM #2--RECENTLY, THE CAR STARTED TO LOOSE POWER ON THE EXPRESSWAY WITHOUT ANY WARNING. MY SPEED WAS 60 MPH AND DROPPING. AFTER ALLOWING THE CAR TO COAST IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE THE CAR REGAINED POWER WITHOUT ANY ACTION ON MY PART OTHER THAN ALLOWING THE CAR TO COAST FOR A MINUTE. PROBLEM # 3--THIS PROBLEM ALSO OCCURS WHEN SHIFTING FROM NEUTRAL TO REVERSE. THE CAR STALLS OUT AND WILL NOT RESPOND. THE CAR MUST BE SHUT OFF AND BACK ON TO ALLOW IT TO RESET THEN THE CAR WILL MOVE BACKWARD ONCE PUT BACK INTO REVERSE. MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE IS 79,000 MILES APPROX.. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE A CHRYSLER PRODUCT. NEVER! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 50 AND 60 MPH THE VEHICLE WOULD BEGIN TO JERK BEFORE LOSING SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE WAS FAILING. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V341000 (POWERTRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
2007 CHRYSLER 300 WITH 43,684. PROBLEM FUEL CAP LEAKING. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP GALENA CHRYSLER WOULD NOT PAY FOR REPAIR. CALL CHRYSLER HEADQUARTERS(REF# 19582516) SAID NOT A SAFETY ISSUE AND I HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON I TOOK IT TO GALENA CHRYSLER IN FORT MYERS FL. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ONE YEAR AGO TO THE DAY, SAME DEALERSHIP, SAID NOTHING WRONG. I THINK FUEL AND VAPORS HAVE BEEN LEAKING FOR OVER A YEAR WITH THIS CAR. I FEEL THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO. I KNOW IT MUST BE A PROBLEM, BECAUSE NO ONE FROM CHRYSLER HEADQUARTERS CALLED ME BACK OR EMAIL. AFTER 4 DAYS IN THE SHOP I JUST HAD TO PAY FOR IT. NO MATTER HOW OLD THE CAR SAFETY PROBLEMS MUST BE COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER. HOW ME PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE UNTIL WE ADDRESS THE PROBLEM? *TR

CAR SHIFTER LOCKED UP AND COULD NOT GET VEHICLE OUT OF "PARK", AFTER TRYING REALLY HARD TO PUT IT INTO DRIVE, I WAS ABLE TO GET THE SHIFTER TO CHANGE TO "DRIVE, BUT WHEN I GOT HOME I HAD TO PUT EXTRA PRESSURE ON THE SHIFTER TO GET TO PARK. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE BECAUSE THE CAR COULD ROLL BY ITSELF SINCE IT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO PLACE THE SHIFTER IN PARK. *TR
WE HAD PURCHASED A CHRSYLER 300 IN JAN 20,2007 WE GOT THE CAR WITH ONLY 42 MILES ON THE CAR SINCE 2007 THE CAR HAD BEEN IN THE SHOP OF THE DEALERSHIP FOUR TIMES. IN MAY OF 2007 WE TOOK THE CAR IN CAUSE THE A/C WAS NOT COOLING AT ALL. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD US THAT WE NEEDED A BRAND NEW A/C COMPRESSOR SO WE SAID OK BUT WHEN THEY FIXED IT WE HAD TO PAY 650 DOLLARS CAUSE OUR WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER IT SO WE SAID WHAT ABOUT THE FACTORY WARRANTY THEY SAID NO ALSO SO THAT ONE WAS TIME. SECOND ONE WAS IN 2008 SHIFTER CABLE BUSTED AND THE DEALER SHIP TOLD US THAT THE CABLE GOT HOT AND IT BUSTED OK WE DIDN'T PAY FOR THAT BUT WE HAD TO PAY FOR THE NEW SHIFTER THEY INSTALLED CAUSE THEY SAID THAT THE SHIFTER WAS BROKEN I THINK THEY BROKE IT CAUSE IT WAS FIND WHEN WE HAD IT. THIRD ONE WAS IN 2009 THE CARS COMPUTER WENT OUT AND THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T KNOW WHY BUT THAT IT HAD CAUGHT ON FIRE SO WE JUST PAID OUR DEDUCTIBLE SO I WAS OK WITH THAT. SO I REMEMBER TELLING MY WIFE LETS SEE WHAT GOES WRONG WITH THE CAR IN 2010. BUT THIS WAS THE WORST COMING HOME FROM DRIVING ABOUT 50 MPH AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF AND THE BRAKES LOCK IN PLACE BUT LUCKY I WAS ALONE AND NOT WITH MY FAMILY. SO I CALLED A WRECKER TO GIVE ME A BOOST BUT THEY COULDN'T START THE CAR SO WE TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP COMES TO FIND OUT WE HAVE A BLOWN MOTOR AND THEY SAID IT WAS CAUSED BY NOT DOING OIL CHANGES HOW AN THAT BE IF WE BRING IT HERE TO GET THE OIL CHANGES SO HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY BUT IM ALREADY 61000 MILES AND MY WARRANTY PEOPLE OLD REPUBLIC DON'T WANT TO FIX SO WE SAW THE MOTOR AND IT WAS CRACKED IN HALF SO OUR FAMILY MECHANIC SAID THAT THE METAL SHAVINGS WAS DUE TO THE OIL PUMP WENT BAD SO NOBODY WANTS TO FIX BUT IT WOULD COST ABOUT 8000 DOLLARS FOR A NEW MOTOR SO PEOPLE CAREFUL ON WHAT U BUY. *TR
2007 CHRYSLER 300, 40K MILES. LEFT IN DRIVEWAY IN PARK WHEN WE WENT US TO LEAVE THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTER ASSEMBLY WAS STUCK IN PARK. MANY COMMON COMPLAINTS ON LINE WITH THIS SAME ISSUE FROM 2005. WHY NO RECALL? *TR
MY SPOUSE DROVE THE VEHICLE TO WORK IN THE MORNING, DROVE THE VEHICLE AT LUNCH AND UPON LEAVING HER WORK FOR THE DAY, ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE HOME. THE VEHICLE WOULD START, HOWEVER THE GEAR SELECTOR WOULD NOT MOVE FROM THE PARK POSITION. EVEN USING THE OVERRIDE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CONSOLE WOULD ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO MOVE FORM THE PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP WAS VERY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM STATING, "IT IS VERY COMMON, AND IT'S NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY AS IT IS A MECHANICAL LINKAGE, NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE TRANSMISSION OR DRIVETRAIN." THE DEALERSHIP ALSO RELATED THE PROBLEM MAY OCCUR AGAIN. I PAID FOR THE REPAIR (APPROXIMATELY $300.00) PLUS THE COST OF A RENTAL FOR THE DAY. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT OCCURRED AGAIN SINCE THE REPAIR. *TR
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY DURING COLD WINTER DAY (20 DEGREES OR BELOW) WHEN THE CARS COMPUTER SYSTEM SHUT DOWN AND A FEW SECONDS LATER RE-BOOTED. THE CAR CONTINUED TO DO SO DURING THE DRIVE HOME AND DURING THE NEXT WEEK UNTIL I COULD GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH LOCAL DEALERSHIP. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY WERE UNSURE OF THE ISSUE. SHOWED THEM A VIDEO THAT WAS TAKEN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY (VERY UNSAFE TO HAVE YOUR CAR TOTALLY SHUT DOWN WHILE GOING 70 MPH). THEY REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH -- NOT WARRANTIED, $300 REPAIR. THIS HAS HAPPENED EVERY YEAR WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 2012 (WEATHER IN REGION WAS WARMER AND DIDN'T MEET CONDITIONS AS PREVIOUS YEARS). NOW IT'S 2013 AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED DURING A RECENT BLIZZARD. DEALERSHIP SAYS THEIR HANDS ARE TIED, BUT I THINK THIS IS A CHRYSLER DEFECTIVE PART ISSUE. SOMETHING IN VERY COLD WEATHER IS CAUSING THE COMPUTER SYSTEM TO SHUT DOWN, WHICH COULD CAUSE A DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A SCARY SITUATION, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING. I HAVE VIDEO OF THE ISSUE FROM A RECENT COMMUTE, AS WELL AS THE DOCUMENTATION OF THE ON-GOING ISSUE STARTING BACK IN 2010. CHRYSLER WAS CONTACTED ON 2/21/2013 WITH THE DETAILS. MY UTMOST CONCERN IS THAT THIS WILL (OR HAS) CAUSED A FATALITY AND CHRYSLER SEEMS UNWILLING TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM WITH THIS DEFECTIVE PART. . *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. WHEN I AM PUSHING ON THE GAS IT HESITATES ON GOING, SOMETIMES IT WILL HESITATE FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN JERK HARD. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS FOR A WHILE! IT STARTED ABOUT A YEAR AFTER I GOT THE CAR AND IT'S GOTTEN WORSE. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT NOW. WHEN IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY THE DEALER ALWAYS SAID IT WAS NO PROBLEM, NOW THEY WANT TO DO SOMETHING TO THE TORQUE IN THE TRANSMISSION. THEY ALSO UPDATED CODES AND THAT DID NOT WORK. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR OVER 2 YEARS AND I SHOULD NOT BE DEALING WITH TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. *TR
2007 CHRYSLER 300C - EXPERIENCED THREE (3) SEPARATE INCIDENTS OF ACCELERATOR FAILURE. ACCELERATOR WOULD NOT FUNCTIONING WHEN PRESSED DOWN. ALL THREE INCIDENTS OCCURRED IN COLD WEATHER SPREAD OUT OVER 18 MONTH TIME SPAN. ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING BUT ACCELERATOR WOULD NOT FUNCTION. CHRYSLER DEALER CHECKED OUT VEHICLE BUT COULD NOT FIND AN ERROR CODE, WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM AND ENDED UP TAKING NO CORRECTIVE ACTION. EACH TIME I HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURN OFF AND RESTART THE ENGINE TO CLEAR THE PROBLEM. THE CAR WORKED FINE AGAIN AFTER RESTARTING. FORTUNATELY EACH INCIDENT OCCURRED AT LOW SPEED AND WAS CONTROLLABLE. PROBLEM WOULD BE VERY SERIOUS IF IT OCCUR DURING ATTEMPT TO ACCELERATE INTO HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC SUCH AS AN INTERSTATE ON RAMP. *TR
I PURCHASED A CHRYSLER 300 ON 11/19/09. I HAD AN ACCIDENT ON 12/10/09. I HAVE LEARNED SINCE THE ACCIDENT, THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS MODEL CONCERNING THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. SINCE WE PURCHASED USED, I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WAS EVER CORRECTED ON OUR VEHICLE. THE ABS LIGHTS STAYS ON AND MECHANICS SAYS IT IS NOT DANGEROUS, JUST THE CRUISE WANT WORK. WE HAVE CARRIED THIS CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND SPENT OVER $2,000. ON REPAIRS AND NOW THEY TELL US IT CAN'T BE FIXED AND WE ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY IT IS O.K. TO DRIVE. ESPECIALLY SINCE I FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE AND I HAD A WRECK. I RAN INTO THE BACK OF A COTTON WAGON. I APPLIED BRAKES BUT DID NOT STOP, JUST SLIDE. *TR
ON 11/25/09, WHILE DRIVING TO WORK IN MY 2007 CHRYSLER 300C AWD, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. ON THE WAY HOME FROM WORK, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO SLIP, AND THE FRONT END FELT OUT OF CONTROL. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY, IT WAS RAINING, AND I WAS VERY SCARED. I SLOWED TO ABOUT 40 MPH, AND PULLED TO THE RIGHT LANE. I STILL DID NOT FEEL SAFE, AND, GIVEN THE VEHICLE HISTORY AND THE FACT THAT I HAVE A NEWBORN AT HOME, I DECIDED TO PULL OVER AND HAVE THE CAR TOWED. WHEN I TOOK DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE ON 07/23/07 THE STEERING WHEEL HAD TO BE ADJUSTED, IT WAS POSITIONED AT 10 O'CLOCK. ON 09/20/07, WITH 2163 MILES, THE CAR PULLED, AGAIN THE STEERING WHEEL HAD TO BE REPOSITIONED, AND THE FRONT END WAS ALIGNED. ON 11/28/07 WITH 5130 MILES, AGAIN THE CAR PULLED, AGAIN THE STEERING WHEEL HAD TO BE ADJUSTED, AND AGAIN THE FRONT END WAS ALIGNED. ON 01/25/08 WITH 6863 MILES, YET AGAIN THE CAR WAS PULLING. THE DEALER FOUND THAT THE "CRADLE NEEDED TO BE SHIFTED" AND THEY ADJUSTED THE CRADLE. PER THE REP, DEALER REPLACED 2 FRONT TIRES, DUE TO UNEVEN WEAR. ON 06/26/09, WITH 29002 MILES, ONCE AGAIN THE CAR WAS PULLING. DEALER FOUND "PLAY IN INNER TIE/RODS", REPLACED STEERING RACK, AND ALIGNED. I REQUESTED 2 MORE TIRES DUE TO UNEVEN WEAR, I WAS TOLD TIRES ARE NOT COVERED UNDER NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. I DO NOT FEEL THIS IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE, AND I WILL NOT GET BEHIND THE WHEEL AGAIN. *TR
I HAVE ALSO PRESSED DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR AND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT SHIFTED!! ANOTHER COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT WHEN DRIVING IN TOWN AND THE CAR IS IN DRIVE AND THE FUEL SAVER MODE THEIR IS A SHUDDER IN THE TRANSMISSION BETWEEN 45 AND 52 KILOMETRES PER HOUR!! THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN IF IT IS NOT IN THE FUEL SAVER MODE OR WHEN YOU MANUALLY SHIFT IT INTO 4!! I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AT THE PRESENT MOMENT BUT TO GET BACK TO THEM IF IT GETS ANY WORSE!! I HAVE 76000KMS ON MY CAR NOW AND THIS STARTED TO HAPPEN AROUND 70000 KMS!! FOR THE LAST 9 MONTHS MY 2007 CHRYSLER 300 CAR GETS STUCK IN PARK, MOSTLY EVERYDAY! IM HAVING TO FIST HIT MY PARK KNOB AND JERK IT AROUND...AND IT COMES OUT. I HEAR IT POPULAR IN CHRYSLER MODELS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2007 CHRYSLER 300C WITH CONTINENTAL CONTI-SEAL TIRES, SIZE P225/60/R18, DOT#AF7D3RX. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS EXAMINING THE VEHICLE, HE NOTICED THAT ALL FOUR TIRES SHOWED SIGNS OF PREMATURE TIRE WEAR. HE TOOK THE TIRES TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO TREAD WEAR. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 28,000.
I WAS DRIVING WITH MY TWO CHILDREN AND WE WERE STRANDED WHEN OUR 2007 CHRYSLER 300 WAS STUCK IN PARK. WE CANNOT GET IT OUT OF PARK AND WERE LEFT IN A VERY DANGEROUS PART OF TOWN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE ROTORS HAD TO BE REPLACED AT LEAST THREE TIMES WITHIN THE LAST TWO YEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE ROTORS AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED WHO STATED THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,010 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE 28,032.
I'VE NOTICED WHEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE THERE IS A NOTICEABLE DELAY. IT ALSO OCCURS WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE AND VISE-VERSA, THERE'S IS ALSO A PAUSE/DELAY THAT OCCURS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE. NOTICEABLE WHEN TRYING TO ATTEMPT A U-TURN AND IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC WHILE WAITING FOR THE TRANSMISSION TO CATCH. ONCE IT DOES CATCH THERE'S A INSTANT LUNGE/ACCELERATION, CAUSING EVERYONE IN THE VEHICLE WHIP FLASH AND HAS CAUSED ME TO BE EXTRA VIGILANT. ALTHOUGH I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS FOR SOME TIME I DIDN'T KNOW THE ISSUE WAS SO WIDE SPREAD. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR. UNTIL THIS HAZARD/DANGEROUS PROBLEM IS RECTIFIED I WILL NOT CONSIDER CHRYSLER FOR MY NEXT PURCHASE. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300-C. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT FROM THE EIGHTH CYLINDER TO THE FOURTH CYLINDER, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BECOME UNRESPONSIVE TO ACCELERATION ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO LOSE POWER WHEN DRIVING AT LOWER SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE COIL AS A PRECAUTION HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE WHO ADVISED THAT THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
I OWN A 2007 CHRYSLER 300 TOURING WITH ONLY 44,000 MILES ON IT. MY GEAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THERE IS AN OVERRIDE SWITCH ("PINK" ) THAT DID NOT WORK AS WELL. I GOT ONLINE TO CHECK TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY RECALLS ON THIS MATTER AND THERE WAS NOT; HOWEVER, WHEN I CHECKED ONLINE, I NOTICED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND BLOGS ABOUT THESE CARS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM FROM 2005 TO CURRENT. THEY SAID THAT IT WAS A CRAPPY DESIGN AND CHRYSLER HAS SINCE MADE A LITTLE BETTER DESIGN SHIFT GEAR THAN THE ONE THAT IS IN MY VEHICLE NOW. I BELIEVE CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR RECALLING THESE SHIFT GEAR AND REPLACE WITH THE "MORE IMPROVED" DESIGN. *TR

ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH WERE FLASHING AND SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER WAS PULSATING FROM 0 TO ACTUAL, NO LOSS OF POWER HOWEVER SCARED THE STUFF OUT OF ME. STOPPED AND TURNED ENGINE OFF. VEHICLE APPEARS TO HAVE A FAULTY ESP (ASSUME IT STOOD FOR EMERGENCY SKID PROTECTION) OR ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. THE CAR WILL SLID ON MINOR DOWNWARD SLOPS WHEN SNOW IS ON THE GROUND EVEN WHEN MOVING AT A VERY SLOW SPEED (10-20MPH). IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE MUCH SNOW ON THE GROUND EITHER FOR THIS TO OCCUR. IT OCCURS ALSO RATHER THE ESP FEATURE IS ON OR OFF. THE BRAKES FEEL LIKE THEY ARE PUMPING THEMSELVES AND HAVE A GRINDING SOUND WHEN PRESSED ON. I AM UNABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR FROM SLIDING OR SHIFTING. IT ONCE SLID INTO AN INTERSECTION. ANOTHER TIME DURING A SLIDE ON A VERY MINOR SLOP, HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME BEING AT LEAST 2-3 CAR LENGTHS AHEAD OF ME, I WOULD HAVE SLID RIGHT INTO THE BACK OF IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO KEYSTONE CHRYSLER WHERE I PURCHASED IT. THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTICS ON IT BUT INDICATED THAT NOTHING SHOWED UP. HOWEVER, THEY REFUSE TO ACTUALLY DRIVE THE CAR IN SNOW CONDITIONS TO SEE WHAT I AM EXPERIENCING AND IS REPORTING. I AM UNCOMFORTABLE AND EXTREMELY FEARFUL TO DRIVE THE CAR ANY LONGER IN SNOW LIKE CONDITIONS. I HAVE A TRUCK WHICH I DRIVE THE MAJORITY OF THE WINTER MONTHS WHICH IS WHY THIS WAS NOT DETECTED SOONER. THE MECHANIC ALSO DISCOVERED A RECALL RELATED TO THE DEFECT UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V493000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC: ANTILOCK: CONTROL UNIT/MODULE). THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,200.

HE ALSO INFORMED HER THAT THE BRAKE PADS WERE WORN AND THE VEHICLE NEEDED NEW ROTORS. THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SWERVE BACK AND FORTH. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS ARE AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 36,255.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO REPAIRED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AS IT WAS DAMAGED DUE TO THE WATER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AGAIN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 84,032. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.
I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. I BOUGHT IT USED ON 6/14/08. WITHIN A MONTH THAT I BOUGHT IT, THE CAR STALLED ON ME. IN 6/09-7/09, MY ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON, WHICH THE GARAGE THAT I HAD TO TAKE IT TO THAT CAN REPAIR ANY TYPE OF EMISSION ISSUES NEEDED TO REPLACE A VALVE AND THEN THE LIGHT DID NOT TURN ON ANYMORE. EVEN AFTER THIS REPAIR, THE CAR CONTINUES TO FEEL LIKE IF IT LOSES POWER. I HAVE REGULAR OIL CHANGES DONE SO I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG. TOOK VEHICLE TO TIRE REPAIR SHOP AND WAS ADVISED THAT AFTER REMOVAL OF NAIL , TIRE DID NOT HOLD PRESSURE, WAS ADVISED TO NOTIFY DEALER FOR CREDIT ON TIRE. DEALER ADVISED ME SINCE TIRE DID NOT HOLD PRESSURE, THERE WAS NO WARRANTY OR CREDIT ON REMAINING TREAD, I WAS ADVISED TO PURCHASE A NEW TIRE. TIRES HAVE 18,000 MILES ON THEM. MY CHRYSLER 300 IS 1.5 YEARS OLD WITH LESS THAN 18,000 MILES ON IT. IT HAS BEEN IN THE REPAIR SHOP (DEALERSHIP) TWICE FOR MAJOR PROBLEMS. THIS LATEST ONE IS LIFE-THREATENING. THE ENGINE SUDDENLY JUST STOPS. THE CAR IMMEDIATELY LOOSES POWER AND COASTS TO A STOP. NO WARNING. THE ENGINE DIES AND STEERING BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT. I JUST SPOKE TO THE SERVICE REP AND HE SAYS THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG BECAUSE THE ENGINE LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON. THIS CAR IS A REAL HAZARD AND COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I'VE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION BUT HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT. *TR
MY HUSBAND IS IN THE MILITARY, THEREFORE WE ARE STATIONED IN NEW ORLEANS, LA. ON MAY 25, 2008 WE HAD A TERRIBLE RAIN STORM IN THE CITY. WE LIVE IN BASE HOUSING SO WE PARK OUR VEHICLES IN A PARKING LOT. AT ABOUT 5:00P.M. THE END OF THE PARKING LOT WERE MY 2007 CHRYSLER 300 LIMITED WAS PARKED BEGIN TO FLOOD WITH WATER. MY HUSBAND WENT OUT TO MOVE THE CAR FROM THE BEFORE THE WATER GOT TO HIGH. AT THIS TIME THERE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3 INCHES OF WATER ON THE GROUND. HE BACKED THE CAR OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE TO MOVE IT. ONE OF THE NEIGHBORS WAS COMING THE PARKING LOT AT THE TIME AND FORCED MY HUSBAND TO DRIVE OUT INTO THE STREET AND RE-ENTER THE PARKING LOT. AS HE DROVE OUT INTO THE STREET, I NOTICED THAT HE IMMEDIATELY STOPPED. I WENT OUT TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND HE TOLD ME THE CAR SHUT-OFF. A COUPLE OF OUR NEIGHBORS HELPED HIM PUSH IT OUT OF THE STREET INTO THE PARKING LOT. NOT SURE WHAT WAS WRONG WE CALLED OUT INSURANCE AND THEY SENT OUT A TOW TRUCK TO GET THE VEHICLE AND TAKE IT TO A NEAR BY CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED ON FRIDAY TO LET US KNOW THAT THE VEHICLE SUCKED UP WATER THROUGH THE AIR INTAKE AND HD=YDROLOCKED THE ENGINE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH WE FOUND OUT THE AIR INTAKE FOR THIS CAR, AND ITS COUNTERPARTS THE DODGE CHARGER AND MAGNUM, ARE LOCATED ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FRONT BUMPER APPROXIMATELY 20IN. ABOVE THE GROUND. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND HAVE BEEN AMAZED HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM BECAUSE THE AIR INTAKE SYSTEM IS POORLY DESIGNED. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO OWN UP TO THIS DESIGN FLAW AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROBLEMS IT IS CAUSING. I WATCHED NUMEROUS OTHER VEHICLES DRIVE DOWN THAT STREET THAT DAY, SOME AT A MUCH FASTER RATE THAN MY HUSBAND, AND THEY HAD NO PROBLEMS. THIS IS REALLY A BAD DESIGN. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO RECALL ALL 2006 AND 2007 CHRYSLER 300, DODGE MAGNUM AND DODGE CHARGER. OUR INSURANCE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE MY VEHICLE REPAIRED FOR A POORLY DESIGNED SYSTEM. INTERMITTENT DELAY WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, THE DELAY CAN BE UP TO 7-8 SECONDS DURING WHICH TIME THE CAR DOESN'T RESPOND TO THROTTLE INPUTS. THERE IS ALSO A LOW RUMBLING NOISE THAT OCCURS WHEN OPERATING AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN THE ENGINE IS AT IDLE. THE PROBLEM BECOMES A DANGER WHEN BACKING OUT INTO TRAFFIC OR PERFORMING A THREE POINT TURN, BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU WILL END UP STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD UNABLE TO MOVE WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC BEARING DOWN ON YOU, I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT COUNTLESS TIMES. THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES AND THEY KEEP GETTING THE SAME FAULT CODES INDICATING A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE BETWEEN SHIFT MODULE AND TRANSMISSION. THEIR SOLUTION HAS BEEN TO CHANGE THE SAME PART A SHIFT MODULE THREE TIMES WHICH HAS REQUIRED THEM TO KEEP MY CAR FOR EXTENDED PERIODS AFTER WHICH THEY INFORM ME THAT THEY THINK THE PROBLEM IS FIXED BUT DON'T KNOW. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300C. WHILE UNDERGOING A STATE INSPECTION, THE TECHNICIAN HEARD A KNOCKING SOUND AT 900-1000 RPM'S. HE STATED THAT IT MAY BE CAUSED BY THE PISTON RODS OR BEARINGS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE DRIVER SIDE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, BUT THE FAILURE REMAINED. THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE SHORT BLOCK, BUT THE PARTS ARE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED, BUT THIS WILL BE CONFIRMED AFTER FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,524 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 4,320.
CONTI SEAL TIRE DOESN'T SEAL ITS SELF. A STAPLE LODGED IN TIRE, TIRE LOSING AIR, TOOK TIRE IN FOUND STAPLE AND REMOVE IT. TOLD ME IT WAS A SELF SEALING TIRE AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DO ANY THING, TIRE SHOULD SEAL ON ITS OWN. TIRE DOES NOT SEAL AIR LOSS DAILY, HAVE TO REFILL DAILY. TIRE HAS LESS THAN 7000 MILES, AND IS ON A BRAND NEW CAR. I AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY NOW THAT I KNOW THESE TIRES ARE DEFECTIVE, AND DO NOT PERFORM AS ADVERTISED. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. IN FEBRUARY OF 2008, WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND HAD TO BE TOWED. THE MOTOR SUSTAINED MORE THAN $2,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE. A FEW PISTONS WERE REPLACED AND OTHER REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. IN JULY OF 2004, THE CONTACT BEGAN HEARING A TICKING SOUND AND THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN AND WOULD NOT RESTART. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY IN THE REPAIR SHOP AGAIN FOR WHAT SHE BELIEVES TO BE THE SAME FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 26,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
TIRE SEPARATION CAUSING ROLLOVER RESULTING IN FATALITY. *TR
MY ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHEN THE CAR IS LOW IDLING, TYPICALLY IN HIGHWAY STOP AND GO TRAFFIC OR AT A STOP LIGHT. EVERYTHING SHUTS DOWN, BUT THE CAR STARTS UP AGAIN 15 TO 30 SECONDS AFTER IT STOPS. THIS HAS HAPPENED EVERY YEAR SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR (2007) FIRST OCCURRING @ 25,000 MILES. I EXPERIENCE THIS 4-5 TIMES PER YEAR, USUALLY DURING THE WINTER WITH COOLER TEMPERATURES AND RAIN (I LIVE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA). *TR
