AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A POLE AND THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BURNS TO THE NECK AND HANDS DUE TO THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE DEALER IS NOT REMEDYING THE DEFECT WITH THE WIN MODULE DUE TO PART NOT BEING AVAILABLE. IT HAS BEEN HALF A YEAR SINCE I CALLED AND DEALER SAID IT WOULD CALL BACK ONCE THEY HAVE THE PART. ON 2-18-16 I CALLED THE DEALER SAY SIT DOES NOT HAVE THE PART AND TOOK MY NUMBER TO CALL BACK
ENGINE TURNED OFF WHILE DOING 60 MPH. THERE WAS A RECALL IN 2014 FOR THIS PROBLEM AND FCA WILL NOT PERFORM THE REQUIRED REPAIRS. THIS HAPPENED IN 2009 AT 7000 MILES AND IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN. IGNITION SWITCH WILL GOT O ACCESSORY WITHOUT WARNING. AN ACCIDENT MAY HAPPEN WITH DEATH OF PASSENGERS AT THESE SPEEDS. LOSS OF CONTROL DID ACCUR.

RECALL ITEM P57/NHTSA 14V-567 RECALL WAS ISSUED 10/13/2014. THE MANUFACTURER AND THE LOCAL DEALERS STILL HAVE NOT MADE THE PART AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. FREQUENTLY THE CAR WILL NOT START WHEN THE KEY FOB IS TURNED. I HAVE HAD TO WAIT UP TO 15 MINUTES REPEATEDLY TURNING THE KEY FOB BEFORE THE CAR WILL START. I CANNOT TAKE THE CAR ON TRIPS ANY DISTANCE FROM HOME FOR FEAR OF GETTING STUCK. THE RECALL ITEM IS 10-1/2 MONTHS OLD.

WHEN CALLING THE DEALER TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR OF RECALL R25 AIR BAG RECALL, I WAS INFORMED ALMOST 2 MONTHS AGO THAT THE PARTS TO REPAIR WERE "TRICKLING IN AND THAT THEY WERE RECEIVING ONLY ONE PART AT A TIME AND COULD NOT GET ANOTHER UNTIL THE PART THEY HAD HAD BEEN INSTALLED."

WHILE WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT PART TO COME IN I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR ANOTHER DEFECT. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD THE FIRST RECALL PART BUT THE SECOND RECALL PART NEEDED TO BE ORDERED. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE DEALERSHIP SINCE DEC 2015.
