I HAD A ACCIDENT ON 09/07/2017, AND THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. DUE TO THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAGS SMALL SILVER IRON PARTICLES FLEW ACROSS MY FACE AND ARMS THAT CAME OUT OF THE AIRBAGS , AND I HAVE TO SEVERE BURNS FROM THE AIR BAGS,
HORN WAS NOT WORKING INDICATES THAT SINCE HORN SWITCH IS ATTACHED TO AIRBAG IN STEERING WHEEL THAT AIRBAG IS DEFECTIVE AND MUST BE REPLACED. NO INDICATION IN INSTRUMENT PANEL THAT AIRBAG IS NOT WORKING OR OFF. TRIED TO BLOWN HORN AND WAS INOPERABLE TOOK IT TO DEALER WHO FIX THE HORN ON 11/04/15. TOOK BACK TO DEALER TODAY 12/03/15 WHO INDICATED THAT IT MUST BE THE AIRBAG SINCE THE HORN IS ATTACHED TO AIRBAG AND IT MUST BE THE AIRBAG THAT IS CORRODING THE SWITCH TO THE HORN IN THE STEERING WHEEL.
I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON JULY 24, 2005 WHERE I REAR-ENDED A BUICK RENDEZVOUS IN MY CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. I DID EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END OF MY CROSSFIRE AND THERE WAS NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT ON THE CROSSFIRE. I SUSTAINED MINOR SEAT BELT INJURIES ON MY SHOULDER AND ACROSS MY STOMACH. I DID CALL CHRYSLER TO LET THEM KNOW THAT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY ON THE CAR AND THEY STATED THEY WOULD HAVE THE CAR AND ACCIDENT INVESTIGATED. I LEARNED LATER THAT THE REASON THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY ON THE CROSSFIRE WAS THAT THE RELEASE FOR THE FRONT AIRBAGS IS IN THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE AND THE ONLY WAY TO DEPLOY THEM IS TO BEND THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A MAJOR FAILURE IN THAT THE CROSSFIRE HAS SUCH A LOW PROFILE THAT THERE ARE VERY FEW CARS THAT YOU COULD BE IN AN ACCIDENT WITH AND THEN HAVE THE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. *JB
AIRBAGS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS DEFECTIVE BY NUMEROUS MECHANICS.
AFTER BEING INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED STRIKING THE WINDOW. THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *JB THERE WAS NO PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. *TC
2004 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE MY SON WAS DRIVING THIS CAR, LOST CONTROL AND HIT A POLE. HE SUFFERED A CONCUSSION AND FACIAL LACERATIONS BECAUSE HIS HEAD HIT THE STEERING WHEEL BEFORE THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED.*AK
