The thin foil film used on interior of car is flaking on inside of drivers door handle, of which I was unaware. Cut my left ring finger while I was driving at speed on a 2 lane country road. So startled me I went left of center before I could regain control and would have cause a head on crash had someone been coming the other way!!! Very painful deep laceration!
While cruising at 55 miles per hour, an unexpected occurrence took place – the engine abruptly ceased to function. I found myself on a two-lane highway in the midst of a construction zone, where the highway was reduced to a single lane, flanked by barriers. In a situation devoid of power assistance, I navigated the immobile vehicle between these barriers to reach a secure location, narrowly evading a potential accident.This issue is perilous and disturbingly common among these vehicles, yet it lacks a definitive diagnosis or solution. Even the computer scans fail to pinpoint the root cause behind this disruptive problem. I had no choice but to have the vehicle towed, and an automotive technician subsequently replaced the crank position sensor, just one of the many potential culprits in this recurring issue. Remarkably, the car operated without issue for two months, only to once again shut down without warning at high speed. Then, quite unexpectedly, approximately ten minutes later, the car miraculously restarted. This issue is perilous and disturbingly common among these vehicles, yet it lacks a definitive diagnosis or solution. It is imperative to stress that this problem is widely recognized and acknowledged, with countless owners repeatedly seeking assistance from dealerships, yet the issue remains unresolved. The gravity of this situation cannot be overstated, as these vehicles are prone to sudden shutdowns while traveling at high speeds. Urgent attention and action are needed to investigate and rectify this life-threatening concern.
DEAR SIR OR MADAM: MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA WHEN SHE HAD A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE ON HER REAR, PASSENGER TIRE. SHE WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AS SOON AS THE FAILURE HAPPENED. THE FAILURE WAS VERY ODD. THE RUBBER COMPLETELY SEPARATED AROUND THE RIM. A CIRCLE APPROXIMATELY 30MM REMAINED ON THE RIM. ALL OF THE RUBBER COMPLETELY SEPARATED MAKING A PERFECT CUT 360 DEG. AROUND THE FRONT FACE OF THE TIRE. AFTER PERUSING THE INTERNET, I WAS UNABLE TO FIND A SIMILAR FAILURE MODE. THUS, I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE OTHER TIRES ON THE CAR.
WHEN TRYING TO START CAR IGNITION IS STUCK CANNOT TURN MOTOR ON CAR WAS STATIONERY *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND ENGINE SUDDENLY CUT OFF AND I HAD TO PUSH IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, I COULD HAVE BEEN REAR-ENDED EASILY. THERE WAS NO POWER AND ENGINE WOULD NOT TURN OVER, ONLY ELECTRONICS WOULD LIGHT UP AND ENGINE FAN WOULD RUN AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED.I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY CHRYSLER/MERCEDES WOULD NOT HAVE A RECALL ON THIS YET. APPARENTLY IT IS THE RCM MODULE THAT HAS BAD SOLDER POINTS SO I HAVE HEARD. VERY DANGEROUS THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO A VEHICLE WITH UNDER 100K MILES. IT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE AND LEFT ME STRANDED A COUPLE TIMES, AND THIS TIME IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL SO I HAD TO GET A TOW TRUCK TO TOW IT 27 MILES HOME. IF THIS HAPPENED TO A NEW DRIVER OR ELDERLY PERSON THIS COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS. I CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS ON A ROAD TRIP OR DRIVING THROUGH ATLANTA OR SOMETHING.
THIS IS MY 2ND REQUEST. I HAVE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS & THEY HAVE BEEN THIS WAY SINCE THE CAR WAS NEW. IT ONLY HAS 40K MILES ON IT. I HAVE TRIED CONTACTING CHRYSLER NUMEROUS TIMES, THEY HAVE NOT REPLIED. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. I HAVE GONE TO NUMEROUS DEALERSHIPS, PRIVATE REPAIRS AND PUT OVER $2500 OF MY OWN MONEY INTO THIS ISSUE, BUT IT STILL ISN'T WORKING ETC. EVERYONE SAYS THIS CALL SHOULD BE RECALLED. I NEED HELP!

FAILURE IN KEY AND IGNITION. THE KEY WILL NOT TURN SO THE CAR CAN NOT EVEN BE TOWED. THIS IS SUCH A COMMON FAILURE YET NO RECALL. NOW THE CAR IS STUCK IN A PARKING LOT.60 MILES FROM MY HOME.

KERNERSVILLE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (950 NC-66, KERNERSVILLE, NC 27284, (888) 656-5791) DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED MOMENTARILY, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AGAIN AND STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. A SECOND DEALER (ILDERTON DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM, 701 S MAIN ST, HIGH POINT, NC 27260, (336) 804-8536) ALSO DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE AND SUGGESTED TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.

I HAD A ACCIDENT ON 09/07/2017, AND THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. DUE TO THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAGS SMALL SILVER IRON PARTICLES FLEW ACROSS MY FACE AND ARMS THAT CAME OUT OF THE AIRBAGS , AND I HAVE TO SEVERE BURNS FROM THE AIR BAGS,
MY IGNITION IS STICKING IN MY 2004 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM? WHY SHOULD I PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED WHEN IT'S A MANUFACTURING ISSUE ?
CAR SHUT DOWN IN TRAFFIC WOULD NOT START TURN IGNITION DEAD. HAD TO HAVE CAR TOWED AFTER 45MIN TO AND HOUR STARTED. BROKE DOWN IN CITY STREET TRAFFIC. VERY SCARED ON GOING TRAFFIC (STOP)

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,000.

I WAS DRIVING HOME ON THE HIGHWAY FROM WORK AND MY CAR SUDDENLY SHUTS DOWN TRIED TO CRANK IT, BUT NOTHING HAPPENS ALL THE LIGHTS AND RADIO COMES ON, BUT THE ENGINE DOESN'T START. HASN'T BEEN CRANKING FOR OVER A LITTLE OVER TWO WEEKS NOW. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS COULD HAVE CAUSED A WRECK TO HARM ME OR OTHER PARTIES. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED IN FURTHER. *TR
MY CAR WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT SHUT DOWN. NO WARNING. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON PRIOR TO THE CAR SHUTTING DOWN WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO TURN IT ON ALL OF THE LOANER LIGHTS WOULD TURN ON. INCLUDING THE AIR, RADIO,WINDOWS ETC. I TRIED TO GET A JUMP AND NOTHING HAPPENED. CALLED FOR A TOW TRUCK AND AS SOON AS IT SHOWED UP IT CRANKED UP. THIS HAS HAPPENED AGAIN AFTER TURNING OFF MY CAR AND TRYING TO START IT AGAIN BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. I'VE HEARD OF THIS HAPPENING WITH CROSSFIRES AND IT'S UNBELIEVABLE THAT THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL. ALSO THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL REGARDING THE IGNITION. PROBLEMS WITH TURNING THE KEY IF REMOVED. THE KEY HAS TO REMAIN IN THE IGNITION. I'VE HAD A FRIEND WHO'S CROSSFIRE DOES THAT ALSO AS WELL AS MINE.
CAR POPS OUT OF FIRST GEAR ON TAKE OFF ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED ONCE AND HIT BROAD SIDE BY A TRUCK WHEN TRYING TO MERGE INTO TRAFIC. CHRYSLER HAD ISSUED A TECHNICAL BULLETIN FOR THIS PROBLEM . I FULLY BELIVE THIS WAS AND IS A SAFTY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE LISTED AS SUCH.

THE IGNITION WILL NOT TURN MY KEY AT ALL!! I TALKED TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID I MAY NEED A NEW IGNITION MODULE
I WAS DRIVING 70 MPH ON I81 WHEN MY 2010 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE SIMPLY STOPPED RUNNING. I WAS BESIDE A TRUCK WITH ONE IN FRONT AND 3 BEHIND. BARELY MADE IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CAUSED A LOT OF BREAKING AND HONKING. THE 5TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, AND WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.... THE CROSSFIRE DOES NOT START AFTER THE ENGINE STALLS AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP. I'M AMAZED THAT I MADE IT OUT ALIVE EACH TIME. HAVE SPENT $1800 TRYING TO HAVE IT FIXED BUT THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS
HORN WAS NOT WORKING INDICATES THAT SINCE HORN SWITCH IS ATTACHED TO AIRBAG IN STEERING WHEEL THAT AIRBAG IS DEFECTIVE AND MUST BE REPLACED. NO INDICATION IN INSTRUMENT PANEL THAT AIRBAG IS NOT WORKING OR OFF. TRIED TO BLOWN HORN AND WAS INOPERABLE TOOK IT TO DEALER WHO FIX THE HORN ON 11/04/15. TOOK BACK TO DEALER TODAY 12/03/15 WHO INDICATED THAT IT MUST BE THE AIRBAG SINCE THE HORN IS ATTACHED TO AIRBAG AND IT MUST BE THE AIRBAG THAT IS CORRODING THE SWITCH TO THE HORN IN THE STEERING WHEEL.
AT 50 MPH ON A MARYLAND STATE HIGHWAY, THE ENGINE UNEXPECTEDLY SHUT OFF RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE COASTING TO A STOP IN THE TRAFFIC LANE (THERE WAS NO SHOULDER). FORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE, BUT IT WAS DARK AND VEHICLES COMING OVER A SMALL HILL AND SLIGHT CURVE HAD TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID A COLLISION. THE ENGINE WOULD CRANK AND START BRIEFLY AND THEN SPUTTER TO A STOP. OR, IT WOULD JUST CRANK AND NOT FIRE OR NOT CRANK AT ALL. I WAS EVENTUALLY, WITH ASSISTANCE, ABLE TO PUSH THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROADWAY INTO A RESIDENTIAL DRIVEWAY. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO MY RESIDENCE FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. THE VEHICLE WOULD LATER START AND RUN NORMALLY FOR A SHORT PERIOD, BUT THEN WAS PLAGUED BY A LARGE LIST OF ISSUES TO INCLUDE: MALFUNCITONING INDICATOR LIGHTS ILLUMINATED - BRAKE LIGHT, BRAKE WEAR INDICATOR, TRACTION CONTROL, STABILITY CONTROL; P0600 DATA LINK LOSS CODE; VEHICLE NOT SHIFTING OUT OF PARK; SPEEDOMETER NOT WORKING, ETC. EVENTUALLY, THE ENGINE WOULD NO LONGER CRANK AT ALL. ALL ISSUES WERE REMEDIED BY REPLACING THE RELAY CONTROL MODULE (RCM) - A PART THAT WAS, AND STILL IS, MANUFACTURED BY STRIBEL. THIS PART HAS KNOW ISSUES RELATED TO POORLY SOLDERED CONNECTIONS THAT CAUSE NO-START CONDITIONS OR CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STALL WHILE OPERATING. THE RCM IS ALSO PLAGUED BY FAILURE OF THE INTERNAL RELAYS (ENGINE CONTROL, FUEL PUMP, TRACTION CONTROL, SECONDARY AIR PUMP) THEMSELVES WHICH MAY BE HASTENED BY OVERHEATING AS A RESULT OF THE POOR SOLDER JOINTS. IF IT HAS NOT ALREADY HAPPENED, SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED WHEN THEIR CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE (OR ANY ONE OF A NUMBER OF MERCEDES BENZ VEHICLES UTILIZING THE SAME STRIBEL RELAY) STALLS DUE TO THIS WIDELY KNOW DEFECT AND IS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE.
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

SEEMS CHRYSLER HAS STOP PRODUCING THE FRONT TURN SIGNALS FOR THIS CAR AND CANNOT FIND AFTERMARKET PARTS FOR IT. I'M TOLD THAT 7 YEARS AFTER THE CAR LEAVES PRODUCTION THAT THE PRODUCTION OF THE PARTS ARE STOPPED. I CANNOT GOT TO MERCEDES SINCE IT DOES NOT HAVE A MERCEDES PART NUMBER AND ANY CROSS REFERENCE NUMBER THAT IS GIVEN DOES NOT WORK FOR MERCEDES. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. *TR

I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM ID AUTO PENSACOLA, FL, 850-418-8949, BEING TOLD GOOD CONDITION, ONLY ONE THING WRONG, YOU HAVE TO STICK AN INK PIN IN THE HOLE TO PLACE IT IN DRIVE. IN NEED OF A CAR, SINGLE MOM, AND NO MONEY, HE TELLS ME TO GIVE ME MY OLD CAR AS A TRADE AND 1 THOUSAND 2 HUNDRED PLUS PAY PAYMENTS OF $216 MONTH STARTING OF JAN 9TH. COST TO ME WAS $3667.57 MY SON & I DRIVE OFF THE LOT MY SON & I, I NOTICE THIS CAR IS STAYING N FIRST GEAR I WAS CRYING AFRAID IT WAS GOING TO CATCH FIRE ANY GIVEN MOMENT.. HAD 45 MILES TO GET HOME FROM THE LOCATION. MY SON IS 18, HE CAN VERIFY EVERYTHING. I CALL THE DEALER AND HE TOLD ME NO WAY WAS HE RESPONSIBLE TO PAY FOR THE CAR. AND WOULDN'T! I SAID YOU KNEW YOU SOLD ME A CAR THAT WAS A FIRE HAZARD AND DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD TRANSMISSION! HE SAID NOTHING HE COULD DO. I TAKE THE CAR TO GULF BREEZE AUTO IN GULF BREEZE IT'S ABOUT A 20 MINUTE DRIVE FROM MY HOUSE DRIVING IT SLOW AND IN FIRST GEAR TO GET IT THEIR. ATTEMPTED SEVERAL TIMES AND EACH TIME KEY TURNED ON STARTER ENGAGED EVEN WITHOUT CLUTCH DEPRESSED WHICH IS NORMALLY REQUIRED, EVEN IN GEAR WITH CLUTCH RELEASED STARTER ENGAGED. AS I'VE READ ON HERE, THIS CAR HAS A TENDENCY TO DROP OUT OF 1ST GEAR ON TAKE OFF. THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY ENOUGH THAT I'VE STUDIED WHETHER MY HAND ON THE SHIFT OR NOT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. IT DOESN'T. THE SKREEM (SENTRY KEY REMOTE ENTRY MODULE?) FAILED WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS PUMPING GAS. EVIDENTLY, THE CAR CANNOT BE STARTED IF THIS MODULE IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, THUS LEAVING MY 17 YEAR OLD STRANDED. AFTER MUCH RESEARCH, MOSTLY VIA CROSSFIREFORUM.ORG, IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THIS PART HAS AN EXTREMELY HIGH FAILURE RATE. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THE ENGINE AND COMPONENTS ARE ESSENTIALLY THE SAME AS THE MERCEDES SLK AND THAT MERCEDES RECALLED THE COMPATIBLE MODULE, BUT CHRYSLER DIDN'T. MOREOVER, THIS PARTICULAR PART CAN ONLY BE ORDERED AND PROGRAMMED BY A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP, WHICH MEANS NO OPTIONS AND BIG BUCKS! HOOKED IT UP AND IT SAID IT WAS SAME PART. TOOK PART BACK GOT NEW ONE NO RESPONSE. TOOK CAR TO DEALER BUT MACHINE READ NO PROBLEM. CHANGED CRANK SHAFT SENSOR AFTER GOOGLING SIMILAR ISSUES BUT ISSUE STILL EXISTS. WE HAVE SPENT SEVERAL DOLLARS ON PARTS THAT DO NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I AM JUST THANKFUL FOR THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED TO HAVE NOT BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY AND JUST ON A SIDE STREET CLOSE TO HOME. WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE U NEVER KNOW WHEN IT MAY STALL OUT AND IF OR WHEN IT WILL RESTART. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON 1000'S OF CROSSFIRE'S AND MERCEDES (ALL MODELS FROM 1998 FORWARD). THIS ISSUE IS THE BAS SYSTEM AND BRAKES. INTERMITTINGLY, AND USUALLY DURING WARMER WEATHER WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES THE BAS LIGHT COMES ON, AS DOES THE LIGHT INDICATOR. THE ISSUE IS THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON. THERE IS A FAULT WHERE IF THE BAS IS NOT WORKING, THE BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON. THEY ARE TIED TOGETHER IN THE ELECTRONICS. THE BAS IS NOT REQUIRED TO STOP THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER NO BRAKE LIGHTS BECAUSE OF THE FAULT IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE. THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE DRIVEN. RESEARCH ONLINE HAS FOUND 1000'S OF COMPLAINTS, NO RESOLUTION AND TYPICALLY HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS IN REPAIR COSTS THAT DO NOT FIX THE ISSUE. THE BRAKE LIGHTS SHOULD RUN INDEPENDENTLY OF THE BAS SYSTEM. A COMMON FIX IS CONNECTING AN INLINE FUSE FROM THE BRAKE SWITCH TO THE BRAKE LIGHT, IF ONE IS MECHANICALLY INCLINED TO DO SO. CONTACTING MB STATES THEY KNOW THE ISSUE BUT CANNOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE THEY ALSO STATED TOO COSTLY TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM FOR A % OF OWNERS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR STABILIZER BODY MOUNT BRACKET WAS FOUND TO BE 90% SEPARATED FROM THE BODY. THE MOUNT BRACKET HAS 4 WELD POINTS ON THE BODY FRAME. THE WELDS ARE ELECTRICAL WELDS. ONE BREAK WAS ALONG THE WELD AT THE JUNCTION POINT OF THE BRACKET TO THE BODY. THE OTHER 2 SEPARATIONS WERE ALONG THE MIDPOINT OF THE BRACKET SUPPORT LEGS. THE REARWARD SUPPORT LEGS ARE APPROXIMATELY 1 INCH WIDE. BOTH WERE BROKEN. THE FORWARD LEGS ARE APPROXIMATELY 1 HALF INCH WIDE AND ONE WAS BROKEN ON THE OUTBOARD PASSENGER SIDE. THE DRIVER SIDE BRACKET SHOWS NO SIGN OF PROBLEMS. THE THICKNESS OF THE STEEL IN THE BRACKET IS APPROXIMATELY 3/32 INCHES. THIS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A LOW SPEED FRONT END COLLISION APPROXIMATELY 3 YEARS PRIOR TO THIS PROBLEM FORMING. IMAGES ARE AVAILABLE. *TR
