CATALYTIC CONVERTER ARE BAD. I HAD TO REPLACE BOTH CONVERTS 3 TIMES.IF YOU RESEARCH THIS SEVERAL PEOPLE HAS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM MOTOR MOUNTS, I HAVE REPLACED THEN 3 TIMES. IGNITION COILS HAVE BEEN REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES. THE SAME 1. THE CHRYSLER PACIFICA IS GARBAGE. IT WAS GARBAGE THEN, IT'S GARBAGE NOW. CHRYSLER HAS MANY PROBLEMS WITH THERE CARS AND THEY ARE NEVER RECALLED OF FIXED . ALL CHRYSLER DO IS STOP MAKING THAT CAR.
I PURCHASED MY 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA AT A DEALER SHIP IN FEBRUARY 2017. I HAVE JUST HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 5 MONTHS. THE CAR HAD EVERYTHING RUNNING AND WHEN I SAY EVERYTHING RUNNING; I MEAN A/C WAS WORKING JUST FINE AS WELL AS THE HEATER AND ALL WINDOWS ROLLED UP AND DOWN. I HAD EVERYTHING UPDATED ON THIS VEHICLE. NOW 5 MONTHS LATER, I HAVE NEIGHBORS ON 7/25/2017 AT AROUND 2PM THAT WITNESSED MY CAR CATCHING ON FIRE. HOW? I DON'T KNOW AND I AM CONFUSED AND WORRIED BECAUSE I HAD JUST PULLED UP TO MY HOME WITH MY FIANCE. OUR CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE ON 7/25/17 I HAD TO CALL THE FIRE FIGHTERS TO COME OUT AND PUT THE FIRE OUT. THIS WAS THE MOST SCARIEST THING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I AM OVERWHELMED. THE FIRE FIGHTERS PUT THE FIRE OUT AND NOW I AM WITH NO VEHICLE. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER OF 3 THAT WORKS A DOUBLE SHIFT JUST TO MAKE A WAY IN LIFE. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS EXPERIENCE AND FEAR FOR MY LIFE FROM HERE ON OUT. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE OR GET IN ANY CAR BECAUSE MIND YOU MY CAR HAD BEEN DRIVING PERFECTLY FINE. I AM DISGUSTED AT THE FACT THAT THERE ARE CRUEL PEOPLE OUT HERE WITH LICENSE DEALERSHIPS THAT ARE ABLE TO SELL VEHICLES WITH VEHICLES THAT CAN COST SOMEONE'S LIFE. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND I AM REQUESTING AN EXPLANATION TO WHY THIS HAPPENED AND I WOULD LIKE SOME KIND OF REIMBURSEMENT FOR MY VEHICLE. ITS VERY BAD AN FREAKING ME AND MY KIDS OUT
THERE IS A PART ON THE CAR THAT GOES BAD ( # 04880417AA) CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE NOT ANGRY JUST NEED HELP PLEASE !! THE CAR IS BECOMING VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE .
THE GAS GAUGE DROPS TO ABSOLUTE ZERO AND THE LOW FUEL WARNING COMES ON EVEN THOUGH THERE IS PLENTY OF GAS IN THE TANK. THIS CAUSES A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH THE CODE U1403. THERE ARE MANY OWNERS OF 2004-2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICAS THAT HAVE THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM. THE GENERAL CONSENSUS ON FORUMS SPECIFIC TO THIS COMMON PROBLEM IS THERE IS A GAS PRESSURE PROBLEM THAT CAUSES THE GAUGE TO NOT READ CORRECTLY. PEOPLE WHO HAVE TAKEN THEIR CAR TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR REPORT THAT THE DEALERS USUALLY SAY THE SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE BOTH FUEL PUMPS. CUSTOMERS, HOWEVER, REPORT THAT THIS IS EXPENSIVE AND USUALLY DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON). MOST OWNERS SAY THE PROBLEM STEMS FROM THE POORLY DESIGNED SADDLE TANK AND BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE GAS PRESSURE. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY WERE NO HELP AT ALL. TWO SEPARATE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. THERE HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF 2004-2007 PACIFICA OWNERS (I ALSO FOUND MANY JEEP FORUMS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM) AND SURELY CHRYSLER HAS A RECORD OF THESE PROBLEMS AND HOW TO FIX THEM. HAVING EACH OWNER TAKE THEIR CAR TO THEIR LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER WITH NO COMMON DOCUMENTED FIX MEANS EACH OWNER IS RELYING ON TECHS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND THE PROPER WAY TO FIX IT. TRIAL AND ERROR EACH TIME IS EXTREMELY WASTEFUL AND EXPENSIVE FOR THOUSANDS OF OWNERS. A RECALL WOULD AT LEAST ENSURE THAT EACH SERVICE CENTER HAS THE CORRECT INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT IS EXACTLY WRONG AND PRECISELY HOW TO FIX IT.
JUST BOUGHT VEHICLE AND DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH SMALL CHILDREN WHEN THE CAR SURGED AND ABRUPTLY STALLED MOMENTARILY ON A 60 MPH HWY. WOULD ONLY DRIVE IN 1AT AND 2ND GEAR AND HAD NO WAY TO EXIT OFF HIGHWAY. ALMOST CAUSED A CAR PILE UP AS THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME HAD TO STOMP ON BRAKES ABRUPTLY. MECHANICS ARE SAYING TRANSMISSION. I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD THIS FOR A WEEK. IT WAS EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND I WAS TERRIFIED AS I HAD 5 LITTLE LIVES IN THE VEHICLE AT THAT TIME.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE OIL AND TRACTION CONTROL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

I BOUGHT THE INCIDENT DATE JUNE 4; 2014 CONSUMER LOCATION UNION TOWN; OH VEHICLE A CHRYSLER PACIFICA 2007 VIN#2A8GM68X37R ENGINE 4.0 ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2016 HERE IN HALLANDALE BEACH, FLORIDA AND ABOUT 200 MILES AGO THE SAME REPORTED COMPLAINT LISTED ON YOUR NHTSA SITE AS SUMMARY OF COMPLAINT HAS JUST BEGUN WHICH IS THAT THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM, AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED CURRENTLY EXCEPT (THERE IS AN ADDENUM) THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER MOTOR COMPONENT HAS ACTIVATED ITSELF WITH A WHIRLLING SOUND THAT VIBRATES THROUGHT TO THE BRAKE LEVEL RESERVOIR EVEN WHEN THE KEY SWITCH TO THE ENGINE (RUN) IS SWITCHED OFF; AND WITHOUT DICONNECTING THE BATTERY TERMINAL; THE BRAKE FLUID DISTRIBUTION MOTOR STAYES ON AND DRAINS THE BATTERY; VEHICLE WOULD NOT START UNTILL BATTERY IS RECHARGED SO THE TERMINAL HAS TO BE REMOVED WHEN STIOPPED (PARKED) FOR SHORT OR LENGTH OF TIME. MY CAR STOPS RUNNING SHORTLY AFTER DRIVING WITHIN A FEW MINUTES WITH ZERO WARNING. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE POWER STEERING AND BREAKS STOP FUNCTIONING. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY BEEN ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND CONTINUE TO MY DESTINATION. THIS CREATES A DEFIANT SAFETY HAZARD AND HAS HAPPENED RANDOMLY ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE STALLING STARTED AT THE TIME WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND 'GASCAP' WARNING MESSAGE CAME ON - PERMANENTLY. THE MECHANICS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FINE THE PROBLEM AND THERE ARE NO COMPUTER CODE READINGS. HAS THERE BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM FROM CHRYSLER?
MY 2007 AWD CHRYSLER PACIFICA SHUT ITSELF OFF WHILE IT WAS BEING DRIVEN AT 55MPH ON A RURAL STATE HIGHWAY. THE ENTIRE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND THERE WAS NO POER STEERING, ETC. IT WAS DETERMINED BY THE DEALER THE TIPM(CONTROL MODULE) FAILED. LUCKILY WE WERE NOT DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC OR FAR FROM HOME. ORDUS CHRYSLER INFORMED ME THAT WHEN THE TIMP GOES BAD THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF AND NOT TURN BACK UNLESS TAKEN TO A DEALER.
STALLS WHILE DRIVING, LOSING STEERING, BRAKING, LIGHTS. TOO MANY CLOSE CALLS WHILE DRIVING. HAVE REPLACED, EGR VALVE ALONG WITH COUPLE OF OTHER SENSORS AND CONTINUE TO HAVE ISSUE WITH IT GROWING IN SEVERITY AND OCCURRENCES. *TR
I HAVE A CHRYSLER PACIFICA THAT AS I'VE DRIVEN IT HAS COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY OR ROAD. IT COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AS I WAS GOING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. I'VE HAD IT IN AND OUT OF THE REPAIR SHOP FOR THE LAST 5 MONTHS AND I'VE BEEN GIVEN DIFFERENT ANSWERS AS TO WHAT'S WRONG. NONE OF THEM HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM. FINALLY, TODAY I FOUND A MECHANIC THAT SAID IT WAS THE TIPM! UNFORTUNATELY FROM WHAT I'VE READ THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM IN CHRYSLERS. I'M TERRIFIED TO DRIVE MY CAR FOR FEAR THAT I'M GOING TO BE HURT WHILE DRIVING IT. I WAS ALMOST HIT WHEN MY CAR SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION AND HAD KIDS IN MY VEHICLE. THIS ISN'T RIGHT AND IT'S DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS PUTTING THE CONSUMER AT SUCH A RISK. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTARTED. THE FAILURE RECURRED APPROXIMATELY THREE TIMES, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LANDERS MCLARTY DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP (256-864-7475, LOCATED AT 6533 UNIVERSITY DR NW, UNIT A, HUNTSVILLE, AL 35806) WHERE THE FAILURE WAS DUPLICATED; HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
GRINDING NOISE FROM POWER STEERING WHEN DRVING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE LOW OIL AND ABS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE ENGINE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE AND THE FUEL PUMP MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V432000 (POWER TRAIN).THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING THE CAR 2 DAYS AFTER WE PURCHASED IT. HE WAS COMING DOWN A SLIGHT INCLINE AND TRYING TO YIELD AND TURN AT AN INTERSECTION. THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT AND THE BRAKES LOCKED UP SO HE COULD NOT STOP OR CONTROL THE DIRECTION OF THE VEHICLE. IT WAS VERY SCARY WITH YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEATS! NO WARNING LIGHTS OR SOUNDS ALERTED HIM TO THE FAILURE OF THE STEERING OR BRAKES.
I DROVE IN MY DRIVE WAY ON SUNDAY ON MON. MORNING I GOT IN AND THE TRANSMISSION IS OUT, I GUESS IT. WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE IN ANY GEAR.STAIONARY IF THIS IS A RECALLED SEE CALL !!ME, I DO NOT HAVE $2000.00 TO FIX IT THANK YOU'LL.
07 PACIFICIA WILL JUST DIE WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEED. NO WARNING LIGHTS COMES ON. YOU LOSE ALL CONTROL OF THE CAR. YOU CAN PUT THE CAR PARK OR NETURAL IS WILL START. YOU CAN DRIVE FOR COUPLE DAYS AND WILL DO IT AGAIN WITHOUT NOTICE. YOU TAKE TO SHOP AND THEY CAN SCAN IT DO TO NO WARNING LIGHT. THIS HAPPEN WHEN YOU TURN OR GO STRAIGHT AT A SLOW SPEED. THEY HAVE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FOR THIS AND NO KNOWN ANSWER IT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CAR ONLY HAS 107000 MILES ON IT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO MOVE THE SHIFTER OUT OF PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK WAS REPLACED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,658.
WHEN U DRIVING THE CAR AND COME TO A STOP SIGN OR STOP LIGHT THE CAR TURNS COMPLETELY OFF AND NO LIGHTS ARE ANYTHING COMES ON TO SHOW THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM. IT STARTS BACK UP BUT WHEN U GO TO THE NEXT LIGHT IT CRANKS BACK OFF AGAIN. IT HAS NOT CRANKED OFF WHEN U DRIVING A DISTANCE YET, BUT WHEN MAKE A COMPLETE STOP AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN IT CRANKS OFF AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 50 TIMES SINCE JUNE 22ND. I'VE TESTED THE BATTERY AND THE ALTERNATOR AND THEY ARE FINE BUT THE PROBLEM IS STILL HAPPENING.
I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA TOURING THAT I HAVE HAD TO REPAIR MOTOR MOUNTS SEVERAL TIMES. WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY AND THEN IN MOTION THE PROBLEM OCCURS. WHEN I ACCELERATE THE CAR DOES NOT HAVE IT'S FULL POWER POTENTIAL BECAUSE ACCELERATION CAUSES THE ENGINE TO IMMEDIATELY RAISE UP AND THEN QUICKLY DROP DOWN. I HEAR THE ENGINE HIT THE FRAME WITH A LOUD BANG WHEN IT DROPS. THIS HAPPENS IN MOTION, ON CITY STREETS, AND THE HIGHWAY. I BELIEVE THIS HAS CAUSED OTHER ENGINE PROBLEMS THAT I HAVE REPAIRED OVER THE YEARS.MY MOTOR MOUNT REPLACEMENT YEARS ARE 2010,2012,2013, AND 2016. I HAVE RECEIPTS AND THE LAST SET OF MOUNTS. I DON'T LIKE TO DRIVE MY GRANDSON AROUND IN THIS CAR BECAUSE I FEEL IT IS NOT SAFE FOR HIM. I ALWAYS TRY TO USE MY OTHER VEHICLE TO TRANSPORT CHILDREN. I HAVE REQUESTED HELP WITH CHRYSLER AND WAS ADVISED THOUGH WE HELPED AND REPLACED YOUR MOUNTS UNDER WARRANTY IN 2013, WE WILL NO LONGER HELP YOU WITH MOUNT REPLACEMENT . WE CONSIDER IT NORMAL WARE AND TARE. CHRYSLER ALSO ADVISED THEY WILL NOT HELP BECAUSE OF THE CARS AGE AND MILEAGE. I HAVE THE RECORDING. IF THIS IS CONSIDERED NORMAL THAN I FEEL IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LISTED IN THE CONSUMER VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR BOOK. HAD I KNOW I WOULD HAVE TO RE-SECURE MY ENGINE TO THE FRAME EVERY YEAR I WOULD HAVE NOT PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE. NOW CHRYSLER HAS RELEASED A NEW PACIFICA. I AM INTERESTED TO KNOW WILL THIS HAPPEN WITH THE NEW CHRYSLER PACIFICA. REGARDLESS, IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AROUND WITH THE ENGINE UNSECURED TO THE VEHICLE FRAME.
TAKATA RECALL. MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING IT ON FRIDAY AND MADE A NOISE, THOUGHT IT WAS TIRE BROUGHT TO TIRE PLACE AND THEY STATED THAT THE TRANSFER CASE HAS CRACKS IN IT. WE HAD THE TRANSFER CASE GO BAD IN NOVEMBER 2015 AND REPLACED IT WITH A COST OF OVER $2,000.00. NOW THE TRANSFER CASE CRACKED AND CHRYSLER IS SAYING THAT IT HAS A 3YR 100,000 WARRANTY ON IT AND WE TOOK IT TO A DEALER UNDER THEIR INSTRUCTIONS, AND THE DEALER CALLED AND SAID THAT IT IS NOT COVERED BECAUSE THE TIRES ARE OFF 1/8" OF AN INCH WHICH MADE IT CRACK, NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I HEARD THAT TIRES BEING LOW ON PRESSURE OR WORN CAUSE PIECES OF YOUR CAR TO CRACK!! THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED IMMEDIATELY.
THE OIL COOLER RUSTED OUT AND LIQUID POURED FROM IT. OVER HEATED TERRIBLY. PART IS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER AND NO ONE ANYWHERE HA'S THIS PART. DRIVING, COMPUTER MALFUNCTION WHILE DRIVING 55MPH THREW MY CAR INTO LIMP MODE. PULLING OUT OF GAS STATION, DRIVING MAYBE 4MPH, ABS, TRACTION AND THROTTLE BODY LIGHT CAME ON AND BRAKES FROZE. HAD TO THROW MY CAR INTO PARK TO AVOID HITTING POLE. REFUSES TO TURN OVER. HATE THIS CAR NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!
FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYED DURING FRONTAL IMPACT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE FRONT SEAT BELTED PASSENGER WAS PERMANENTLY BLINDED BY THE AIR BAG. THE AIRBAG STRUCK THE REAR VIEW MIRROR ON THE WINDSHIELD AND BROKE IT FROM THE MOUNT CAUSING HALF THE MIRROR TO IMPACT FRONT SEATED PASSENGER'S FACE. PASSENGER TOTALLY BLIND AS A RESULT.
"TAKATA RECALL" AT 60 MPH THE VEHICLE STARTS TO SHAKE. BRAND NEW TIRES BALACED PROPERLY, NEW CALIPER, AND WHEEL ALIGJNMENT. ELECTRICAL LIGHT ON DASH KEEPS COMING ON AND CAN NOT EXCEED 40 MPH AND VEHICLE AHUTS OFF SOMETIMES LEAVING NO STEERIMG OR BREAKS
THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD ONE MAJOR ISSUE WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM. WHEN THE FUEL GAUGE GETS TO HALF WAY, THE GAUGE DROPS TO E AND DOES NOT WANT TO ACCEPT GAS. IT ACTS LIKE IT'S FULL AND YOU CAN BARELY PUT ANY GAS IN. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE VEHICLE ACTS LIKE IT'S OUT OF GAS EVEN WHEN IT'S NOT CAUSING ME TO RUN OUT OF GAS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND SOMETIMES THE CAR WON'T EVEN START WHEN IT DROPS BELOW HALF WAY.ALSO, MY ODOMETER READS GASCAP LIKE THERE'S A LEAK BUT IT'S A BRAND NEW GAS CAP. I'VE READ DAYS WORTH OF INFORMATION ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB AND THIS IS THE MOST COMMON ISSUE BUT NOONE HAS DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE CONSUMER. I KNOW I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER AND I WILL WARN OTHERS NOT TO ALSO. NOT ONLY THAT BUT MY SEATBELTS DO NOT WORK ANYMORE, TWO OF THEM ANYWAY. MY KIDS HAVE TO SIT IN THE FAR BACK TO BUCKLE UP. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE USED. I'VE HAD THE FUEL PUMPS REPLACED, THE VAPOR CANISTER AND VAPOR FILTER REPLACED, GAS CAP, ECT. NOTHING REPAIRS THE ISSUE. I KNOW NOW WHY THE PREVIOUS OWNER GAVE IT UP, IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY A DOWN PAYMENT, I WOULD HAVE ALREADY LET IT GO BACK.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS OVER 40 MPH, THE CAR STALLS AND RESTARTS; IT IS AN EXTREMELY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE. IT HAPPENS WHEN ACCELERATING. IT HAS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 10 TIMES. WE HAVE ATTEMPTED TO FIX THIS 3 TIMES WITH OUR MECHANIC. AS NO CODES ARE TRIGGERED, IT IS A GUESS AS TO WHAT TO ADDRESS. BASED ON MY RESEARCH, THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT WITH THIS CAR. I ADVISE ANYONE NOT TO BUY THIS CAR AND I HOPE THAT CHRYSLER RECALLS THIS MODEL TO SAVE A LIFE. WE HAVE BEEN VERY LUCKY.
ENGINE STALLS WHEN SHIFT INTO D, BUT NOT WHEN SHIFT INTO R. IT STARTED DOING THIS FEB. 14TH 2016. THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THEREFORE NO OBDII CODE. IT STALL WHEN I STOP, START BACK UP AND STALL AS SOON AS I SHIFT TO D. IT'S MY DAUGHTER'S CAR SHE GOT THE CAR IN NOVEMBER 2015.
OIL LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON (RED) FOR NO REASON. I'VE BEEN TOLD THE POWER TRANSFER UNIT IS GOING OUT
MY DAUGHTER GAVE ME THIS CAR FOR MY BIRTHDAY IN 2007 WITH A RED BOW ON IT. I WAS VERY SURPRISE. AFTER THE FIRST 6 MONTHS I BEGAN HAVING PROBLEMS. THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING NOW IS SOMETHING THAT WAS REPAIRED BEFORE. I HAD THIS ISSUE ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. WHILE I AM DRIVING, THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF, STALLING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRAFFIC. THE STEERING BECOMES VERY HARD. MANY TIMES I WAS IN FEAR OF AN ACCIDENT MANY TIMES. I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS CAR.
THE CAR WILL STALL UNDER 40 MPH, ALMOST GOT T-BONED
THE SUV SHUTS OF WHILE MOVING. WHILE WE ARE DRIVING (IN MOTION) THE SUV WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AND WE HAVE TO RESTART IT BY PLACING IT IN NEUTRAL AND TURNING THE KEY. WE HAVE REPORTED IT TO CHRYSLER 3 TIMES AND WE HAVE SPENT $900 TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT IT JUST HAPPENED AGAIN 2 DAYS AFTER WE PICKED IT UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP. ALL REPAIRS FOR THIS SUV WERE DONE BY THE DEALERSHIP OVER THE LIFE OF THE SUV. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE SUV HAS NOT DUPLICATED THE PROBLEM WHILE IN THE DEALERSHIP WHILE BEING REPAIRED AND THEY HAVE SAID THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN OVER 100 MILES BY THEM WITHOUT SHUTTING OFF. IF THIS IS TRUE, WHY DID IT SHUT OFF WHILE MY FAMILY WAS DRIVING IT 2 DAYS AFTER WE PICKED IT UP. THEY ARE NOT TELLING THE TRUTH. WE DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A 4TH TIME FOR THIS PROBLEM UNTIL WE FIND OUT WHAT CAN BE DONE. THE TRUCK IS IN GREAT SHAPE BESIDES THIS PROBLEM THAT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND SCARY WHEN IT HAPPENS. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER INCIDENTS OF THIS VERY PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLERS AS WELL.
WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR, THE CAR MAKES A GRINDING OR CLUNKING NOISE . WE LIFTED THE HOOD, PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND DEPRESSED THE PARKING BRAKE. WE THEN APPLIED ACCELERATOR AND THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE LIFTED FROM THE MOTOR MOUNT A GOOD 2 OR 3 INCHES. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND THIS ACTUALLY STARTED DOING THIS SHORTLY AFTER I PURCHASED IT IN JUNE OF 2014. IT HAD 97000 MILES AND NOW HAS 117000 MILES. I AM FEARFUL OF HAVING THE ENGINE COME COMPLETELY OFF THE FRAME. I AM TAKING IT TO MY INDEPENDENT MECHANIC NEXT WEEK. I CANNOT BELIEVE WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS THAT THIS MODEL HAS THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. I GUESS SINCE NO ONE HAS DIED YET OR BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED THE MANUFACTURER MUST FEEL FAIRLY CONFIDENT THAT THEY WILL JUST WAIT TILL EVERYONE STOPS BUYING THEM. WELL, I AM SELLING MY CAR AFTER IT IS FIXED. I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO HAVE THE SHIFTER REPLACED BECAUSE THAT WENT OUT ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO AND MY MECHANIC HAD TO REPLACE IT. I THINK I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THAT AS WELL, AND YOU CAN BE SURE I AM KEEPING ALL OF MY RECEIPTS FOR REPAIRS THAT I SHOULD NOT EVEN HAVE TO MAKE ON AN 8 YEAR OLD VEHICLE.
BOUGHT IN 2007 USED, 16000 MILES. LAST TWO YEARS, STALLS SOMETIMES AT LOW SPEEDS. LOSES ALL POWER, WILL NOT STEER, CANNOT BRAKE. OCCURS TOO RANDOMLY TO PREDICT. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN MAKING TURNS TO JOIN TRAFFIC FLOW AS CANNOT STOP OR STEER CAR WHILE ROLLING. LATEST EXAMPLE 12/7/15 - NEARLY AT A STOP ON SLIGHT DECLINE, READY TO MERGE WITH STREET TRAFFIC FROM PARKING LOT. SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND BRAKE STOPPED RESPONDING AND LOCKED UP. STEERING LOCKED UP. WAS SLOWLY ROLLING INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
MY VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING NO CODES
IT WAS RAINING OUT AND I WAS DECREASING SPEED PULLING INTO A TURNING LANE, THE CAR LOST STEERING AND BRAKES UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD AND TURN IT OFF AND RESTART IT.
I PURCHASED MY CAR THREE MONTHS AGO AND STARTED HAVING TROUBLE WITH IT ONE MONTH AFTER PURCHASE. MY CAR STALLS AND LOSES POWER RANDOMLY. HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR TWO MONTHS AND THE PROBLEM STILL ISN'T FIXED.
SHORTLY AFTER STARTING AND DRIVING THE CAR, WITHIN A COUPLE OF MINUTES, THE CAR COMPLETELY STOPS RUNNING WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS. JUST DIES WHILE DRIVING AS IF THE IGNITION WAS JUST TURNED OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES CAUSING A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD AS THE POWER BRAKES AND STEERING IMMEDIATELY STOP WORKING. THE CAR IS UNDER AN EXTENDED MANUFACTURER'S BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY SO THE REPAIR SHOULD BE COVERED AS IT IS A CLEAR DEFECT. APPARENTLY, BECAUSE THE CAR JUST STOPPED, NO CODES WERE RECORDED AS TO THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM. HENCE, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY A PROBLEM. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED THAT THE COST OF A SUSPECTED REPAIR BE MADE BY THE OWNER BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DEFINITELY DEFINE THE PROBLEM AS NECESSARY TO BE REIMBURSED UNDER THE WARRANTY. RECOMMENDED REPAIR WAS DONE AT OWNER'S COST YET THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. AN EARLIER MODEL OF THIS CAR HAD A RECALL TO REPAIR A SIMILAR IF NOT IDENTICAL PROBLEM.
I PULLED INTO A GAS STATION FOR FUEL AND UPON APPLYING BRAKES, FELT A SLIGHT SHUDDER. AFTER TURNING OFF THE ENGINE AND FUELING UP, I STARTED THE CAR AND PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT IMMEDIATELY SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. I TRIED A SECOND TIME, SAME RESULT. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IN REVERSE TO A PARKING SPOT, AND CONTINUED TRYING TO DRIVE FORWARD, THE ENGINE WOULD SHUT DOWN EACH TIME. I NOTICED THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS ON. NOT KNOWING WHAT IT MEANT, EVENTUALLY CALLED A TOW SERVICE FOR HELP. FORTUNATELY, HOME WAS ONLY 45 MINUTES AWAY. THIS IS THE SAME CAR THAT WE HAVE REPORTED TO THIS SITE FOR PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM, THAT IS, FUEL GAUGE NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND ALSO GREAT DIFFICULTY IN FILLING THE FUEL TANK!!!
WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR IT RUNS GREAT UNTIL I GET BELOW HALF A TANK. WHEN I HIT A HALF A TANK IT DROPS TO EMPTY AND STALLS AND DIES. I HAVE LOOKED IT UP AND HAD THE CAR DIANOSED. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE SENDING UNIT IS BAD.
HAVE OWNED A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS NOW - BOUGHT IT USED AND ENJOY MOST FEATURES OF THIS CAR HAVING WAITED FOR A FEW YEARS TO PURCHASE ONE AFTER HAVING RECURRING (AND COSTLY) REPAIR ISSUES WITH MY PREVIOUS CHRYSLER (CIRRUS.) HOWEVER, FOR THE PAST YEAR, I'VE EXPERIENCED INTERMITTENT STALLING ISSUES WITH MY CAR - WHILE OPERATING/DRIVING AND I AM NOW TERRIFIED OF THE WHAT "IFS" SINCE I THOUGHT WE'D RESOLVED THE ISSUE JUST OVER A MONTH AGO WHEN REPLACING MY EGR VALVE. THIS WAS A HUGE EXPENSE PARTICULARLY SINCE I'VE BEEN UNDEREMPLOYED FOR A WHILE NOW, BUT THEN AGAIN TODAY WHILE DRIVING WITH MY YOUNG DAUGHTER THE ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN!! I TOO HAVE HAD MY SHARE OF BEING INCONVENIENCED BY TAKING TO MULTIPLE MECHANICS AND REPAIR SHOPS SAYING THEY NEED TO "MIMICK" THE ISSUE IN ORDER TO FIND THE PROBLEM. SINCE THIS ISSUE OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY, HOW IS THAT EXACTLY SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN??? CHRYSLER CORPORATE REALLY NEEDS TO STEP UP AND ADDRESS THIS ISSUE ASAP SINCE THIS APPEARS TO BE A MAJOR ISSUE AND POSSIBLE DEFECT ON THE PRODUCTS THEMSELVES USED WHEN MANUFACTURING THIS CAR AND/OR A HUGE DEFECT OF THIS PARTICULAR MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE, IN GENERAL! CHRYSLER - PLEASE HEAR US BEFORE YOU ALL ARE FACED WITH AN EVEN LARGER PENALTY THAN THE ONES USED TO RECENTLY BAIL YOU OUT - PLEASE DON'T MAKE A FURTHER MOCKERY OF THE PROCESS BY IGNORING THE VOICE OF YOUR CONSUMER ON SUCH A MAJOR HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERN. TO ECHO THE WORDS OF ANOTHER COMPLAINT I CAME ACROSS IN MY RESEARCH OF THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE... THE PRICE TO REPLACE A DEFECT IS MUCH LESS THAN THAT OF A HUMAN LIFE!!
MY CAR WOULD BE HARD TO START AT TIMES, WINDOWS WOULD NOT WORK PROPERLY, ABS, BRAKE, ENGINE, TRACTION LIGHTS ALL CAME ON, AND THE CAR WOULD DIE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. WHEN THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF THE ABS MODULE WOULD CONTINUE TO RUN. I HAVE BROUGHT AT LEAST 2 BATTERIES, HAD BRAKES, DONE THINKING THIS WAS THE PROBLEM, NOW I FOUND OUT ITS THE TIPM MODULE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. AFTER THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WAS ROLLED DOWN, ALL FOUR WINDOWS BECAME INOPERABLE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT AN UNKNOWN FUSE AND THE WIRING HARNESS IN THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,135.
I HAVE HAD THIS 2007 PACIFICA SINCE 2009, BOUGHT IT WITH 12,000 MILES ON IT. IT NOW HAS 109,000 MILES. IN THE PAST YEAR THE CAR HAS STALLED INTERMITTENTLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN AT STOPS, TOOK IT IN, NO PROBLEM FOUND. IT HAS ALSO HAD LIGHT SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD INTERMITTENTLY SINCE I BOUGHT IT, HAD IT LOOKED AT SEVERAL TIMES, NO PROBLEM FOUND. THIS WEEK I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AT @30ISH MPH WHEN IT STALLED ON A BUSY ROAD, BUT WAS LUCKILY ABLE TO TURN OFF THE ROAD WITH NO POWER STEERING SAFELY. IT HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERS FOR 3 DAYS AND NO PROBLEM FOUND AT THIS POINT. I HAVE CHILDREN AND NO LONGER FEEL SAFE DRIVING THEM IN THIS VEHICLE. IF THER IS "NO PROBLEM" TO FIX, THAT IS A MAJOR PROBLEM, BECAUSE A CAR STALLING WAITING TO BE HIT AND SOMEONE INJURED, IS A PROBLEM!!! I HAVE CALLED CORPORATE AND AWAITING TO SPEAK WITH A CASE MANAGER ABOUT THIS ISSUE, BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ONLINE, IF THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT MIMIC THE ISSUE, THEN CORPORATE WILL LIKELY SAY THERE IS NO PROBLEM. I CANNOT JUST WAIT TO SEE IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN, AND NEXT TIME ON THE HIGHWAY AS I HAVE READ IN OTHER CASES, WHEN SOMEONE COULD BE HURT! ALSO CONCERNED WITH THE "NO PROBLEM" WHEN IT SMOKES UNDER THE HOOD, AS I HAVE READ A COUPLE OF INCIDENTS WHERE THE CAR CAUGHT FIRE. HAVE A RENTAL CAR NOW...HOPE CORPORATE DOESN'T BLOW ME OFF!

THE VEHICLE WAS TURNING INTO PARKING SPACE, ACTED LIKE THE TRACTION CONTROL ENGAGED, POWER STEERING FUNCTION WAS LOST. VEHICLE WAS PUT IN PARK, ENGINE TURNED OFF. RESTARTED AT THAT TIME. OWNER ASSUMED INCIDENT RESULTED FROM A SLIP ON FRESH RAIN CONCRETE AND RESULTED IN TRACTION CONTROL ENGAGEMENT DUE TO SENSITIVITY OF TRACTION CONTROL FEATURE. THIS IS REALLY NOT NECESSARY AT < 10 MPH. SECOND INCIDENT: ONE WEEK LATER TO THE DAY ON JULY 10, 2015, THE VEHICLE ROLLED TO A STOP ON RESIDENTIAL ROAD. THE VEHICLE PASSED OVER AN INSIGNIFICANT, SMALL PILE OF DEAD LOOSED GRASS ON RIGHT SIDE OF VEHICLE DURING ITS ROLLING TO A STOP MODE. VEHICLE STEERING LOCKED UP AND ENGINE STALLED. OWNER MADE NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO RESTART BUT HAD TO WAIT 10 MINUTES BEFORE VEHICLE WOULD RESTART AND PARK IT. DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN NOTIFIED-APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED TO DIAGNOSE.
