Lost power. System said to pull over immediately. Error code P0A43.
I purchased this car new on December 31, 2024. I have owned it for less than 16 months, and in that time, we have had an issue occur at least 5 times where we get an alert on the screen that says, "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon". Less than 20 seconds later, the car completely dies. On each of the 5 instances, we were lucky to be going relatively slow and were in a safe place with a shoulder to pull over on. The vehicle was able to be turned back on within a few minutes. The check engine light came on momentarily, but would shut off before we were able to get the codes read. We brought this to the attention of Herb Chambers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT of Danvers (not where we bought the car, but the closest Chrysler dealership for maintenance) and they were unable to provide any help. They said they have never seen this, and since they couldn't get any codes, they didn't know what was going on. My research informs me that this is a known issue, so I'm disappointed that they didn't know about this. I am also terrified to drive my young children in this car, in fear that this will happen again when we aren't able to safety stop. I will provide details for the most recent time that this occurred, but I haven't previously reported the other occurrences.
Entered vehicle through driver’s side door. Put car in reverse and backed out of parking space. As the driver put the car into drive, we advanced approximately 25 yards, the rear tailgate opened and lifted without alerting the driver. No warnings, alarms or dash board notifications. Since we were in a parking garage, as the door lifted, it hit a concrete ceiling support, smashing the tailgate window and broke the tailgate lamps.
The contact owns a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, several other unknown warning lights were intermittently illuminated. The contact stated that the hybrid system was inoperable and failed to function properly, and the charging system failed to fully charge the vehicle. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V302000 (Air Bags). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with several electrical failures. The side curtain air bags failed to operate as needed, and the contact was informed that the side curtain air bags needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 51,416.
The contact owns a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact received a second notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V302000 (Air Bags) that the part for the recall repair was available, and to contact the dealer to schedule an appointment; however, after contacting the dealer, the contact was informed that parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Four separate incidents but related incidents. Primary concern: vehicle turns off and puts itself in park without notice and cannot be restarted. Two incidents were in traffic at a stop light, and the vehicle could not be started for 12-15 minutes. Two times it occurred while the vehicle had been parked for a short period of time but could not be restarted. March 4, 2026 driver was stopped at a light, after about 20 seconds, driver received a dash message “Press brake and push button to start” indicating the vehicle was off, and the vehicle was in park. Driver depressed the brake and the vehicle started. March 7, 2026 driver pulled into a store and when they excited the vehicle, they notice their carplay was still attached to their phone/music. Driver disconnected their phone but notice a dash message “auxiliary connected.” Driver attempted to start the vehicle, but it would not start, however all of the lights, carplay, messages were cycling as if the vehicle was on. When driver attempted to start the vehicle there was no give to the brake and the vehicle would not start. Driver was able to start the vehicle 15 minutes later. March 27, 2026: Driver was stopped at a light and the vehicle turned off and put itself in park. Driver had to contact police t0 block traffic to prevent vehicle from being hit. Vehicle started after 15 minutes. Driver immediately took the vehicle to the dealership. April 2, 2026: Dealership service technician called and said they could not recreate the problem, that all codes were checking out, however they did see a intermittent short in the crank sensor and it was replaced. April 3, Owner pick up the vehicle at 5:30, drove five miles away. Put the car in park to get fuel and the vehicle would not start. Again – “press brake and push button to start” was indicated on the dash but the vehicle could not be started. There is no warning to when this happens. No sputtering, engine noise, just unusual turns off and goes into park.
i CALLED MULTIPLE DEALERS AND ALSO CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE. BUT THEY ARE NOT TAKING CARE OF THE RECALL. ITS A SAFETY RISK

I scheduled an appointment with United Chrysler Jeep Dodge (111 85th St Brooklyn, NY 11220) for 2/2/26 and was told at scheduling the recall 06C/NHTSA 25V-302 and an oil change could be completed same day. This dealership charges a $150 per day storage fee for any vehicle that stays at the dealership and I wanted to avoid this fee and pick up the vehicle on the same day the service was completed. On arrival to the dealership, I was informed the part was not in stock and would need to be ordered. The part would be unavailable until 2/4 or 2/5. I asked why the part was not ordered on scheduling and I was told this was against policy. I asked to schedule the next appointment and I was told I could not until the part arrived. The manager then said all this information was in the letter I received and it is not the schedulers job to tell the customer if the repair can be completed upon scheduling. I left the car there to have the oil change. I was then called by the manager and told they will not touch the car and we can find another dealership. I confirmed they are refusing to do the recall repair as issued by FCA US and they confirmed yes. The next closest dealership is in the next state.
My Chrysler has been at the dealership for a week without getting fixed since Chrysler's diagnosticians will not communicate with the dealership.

Van is only 2 years old, maybe 30K miles on it, and it dies while in motion from "electrical issues" of some sort, that are not even battery related. Never seen this in a vehicle ever. Happened to my wife twice in one week while transporting children. They are very lucky to be alive still. This model should not be allowed on the market in this condition.
While driving the indicator light for Forward Collision Warning (FCW or Pedestrian Emergency Braking (PEB) illuminated. This is an intermittent issue and has appeared during snowy or wet road conditions. The owner's manual states description states: Warning light indicates a fault in the FCW/PEB warning system. Contact an authorized dealer for service.
Several times (6) received a "pull over safely" message while on interstate at 60-75 mph. In addition check engine light comes on. Have taken to dealership for service and after 7 weeks they still have not be able to fix. Vehicle is completely inoperable at this point and am getting no support from Chrysler.
While driving the car an alert pops up with a red steering wheel and an exclamation point. The console states "Power Steering Unavailable Service Required". I brought the vehicle to a dealer and they stated they thought it was from low voltage due to a bad battery. They returned the car and the issue happened again. Oddly the you get the symptom first. Then you see an alert saying "LaneSense Off" then a ding where the console says "Power Steering Unavailable Service Required". So for a few seconds you might think lane sense off is the problem even though the reality is you have no more power steering. My family's life was at risk. Without power steering the vehicle was incredibly hard to control. It is very heavy and I had to use my full force to turn it, if it was my wife or someone less muscular they would have crashed. It has been inspected by the dealer and they returned it after replacing the battery and the issue re-occurred. I noticed this was an issue on a previous year model but it occuring on ours as well.
Red Turtle symbol, vehicle going to shut down, indicates issue sensing power from the hybrid drivetrain
The contact owns a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving approximately 7 MPH and slowing to park his vehicle, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the vehicle kept moving forward. The contact stated he crashed into the front end of a vehicle parked in front of his vehicle. The contact stated that there was damage to his hood and grill. The contact stated that the police arrived and wrote a report. The contact stated that his vehicle was towed to a collision repair shop. The contact stated that no one was injured. The contact was not sure of any warning lights. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that several days ago, the vehicle again did not brake or slow as he was making a left-hand turn onto a side street. The contact stated that he drove the vehicle back to his residence and had not driven since. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed and was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
While driving at approximately 65 mph on I-35 in moderate traffic, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of motive power. I was positioned in the far-right lane at the time of the incident. A notification message appeared on the dashboard screen (likely the "Stop Safely" or "Service Hybrid System" warning); however, there was no accompanying audible warning tone to alert me to the severity of the issue before power was lost. The failure rendered the vehicle unable to accelerate, creating a severe safety hazard. I was forced to navigate to the shoulder and stop for the vehicle to reset and allow me to reach the exit while the vehicle was effectively crippled, moving at speeds under 10 mph amidst highway-speed traffic. I was eventually able to exit the freeway at this reduced speed. This was the third and fourth time issue had occurred. This happened IMMEDIATELY after leaving the dealership to resolve this exact issue and was told that the vehicle was safe to drive again.
While driving at approximately 65 mph on I-35 in moderate traffic, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of motive power. I was positioned in the far-left passing lane at the time of the incident. I was forced to navigate from the far-left lane across multiple lanes of traffic to reach the exit while the vehicle was effectively crippled, moving at speeds under 10 mph amidst highway-speed traffic. I was eventually able to exit the freeway at this reduced speed. This was the second time this issue had occurred. The previous check engine light had cleared on its own and I assumed the vehicle was safe to drive.
This complaint concerns hardship caused by dealer scheduling and parts availability issues during a mandatory recall, not a defect in the recalled part itself. My vehicle was scheduled for a recall repair at an authorized dealership. The dealership confirmed the appointment but did not have the required parts available. I was informed of this only after dropping off the vehicle. As a direct result of this failure in scheduling and coordination: –I was required to rent a vehicle unnecessarily. –No loaner vehicle was available, despite recall instructions advising customers to ask dealers about alternate transportation. –I incurred rental charges, mandatory fees, fuel costs, and extra travel time that would not have occurred absent the dealer’s error. –I also experienced additional personal hardship, including having to transfer a child car seat between vehicles and adjust family obligations, such as waiting at a medical appointment, due to the unexpected need to return and manage the rental vehicle. The manufacturer’s customer care has limited reimbursement strictly to a standard policy cap and has declined to consider dealer-caused hardship or goodwill review, despite conflicting written guidance regarding reimbursement limits. This complaint is about whether recall compliance processes adequately protect consumers from avoidable hardship caused by dealer scheduling failures during mandatory safety recall repairs.
Vehicle went into limp mode three times while driving on the highway, forcing us to pull over to the shoulder. Luckily there was a safe place to pull over but created a major safety concern. It triggered code P0A43-00. The dealer initially couldn't recreate the code on 12/18/25 at which point they cleared the code and returned the car to us. It happened again on 12/30/25 at which point the dealer followed Chrysler instructions to conduct pin drag test but no problem was found. Dealer drove 60 mile test and didn't recreate the fault and returned car to us. The same issue again occurred on 1/9/26 at which point Chrysler authorized invasive transmission repairs. This issue directly aligns with recall 23V-010 and NHTSA ODI investigation RQ24004
As I began driving errors popped up engine failure, electrical system and hybrid system errors, the gas pedal would not move beyond 10 miles per hour, the brakes made a weird noise as if were trying to start the car. This happened with no warning.
While driving at approximately 65 mph on I-35 in moderate traffic, my vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of motive power. I was positioned in the far-left passing lane at the time of the incident. A vague notification message appeared on the dashboard screen; however, there was no accompanying audible warning tone to alert me to the severity of the issue before power was lost. The failure was identified as a malfunction in the hybrid drive motor system, specifically triggering Diagnostic Trouble Code P0A43 (Drive Motor "A" Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent). This sensor circuit failure caused the high-voltage system to shut down unexpectedly. This created a severe safety hazard, as the vehicle was rendered unable to accelerate. I was forced to navigate from the far-left lane across multiple lanes of traffic to reach the exit while the vehicle was effectively crippled, moving at speeds under 10 mph amidst highway-speed traffic. The problem has been confirmed via the retrieval of the P0A43 code. There were no warning lamps, messages, or drivability symptoms prior to the immediate failure; the visual notification appeared simultaneously with the loss of power.
The contact owns a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the hybrid battery became inoperable. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled and failed to exceed 30 MPH. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the hybrid battery had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that it would take months to obtain the replacement battery. The battery was later replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. In addition, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V302000 (Air Bags); however, the parts to complete the recall repair were not yet available. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure related to the recall. The failure mileage was not available.
I was notified of the recall back in early December, but I have been unable to get the recall repairs taken care of as the dealer says the parts are unavailable. I have ongoing concerns for my family's safety.
The front driver's side tire on my 2023 Chrysler Pacifica (77600 miles as of 12/1/25) has started making a loud rumbling sound regardless of my speed. This is happening when I turn the wheel from left to right and occurring every time I am driving. There are no warning lights on the dashboard. I had a mechanic evaluate the tire while on racks in the air and was shown the tire visibly rapidly bouncing and vibrating as the wheel was turned left to right. I am terrified to drive my van alone or with my family as the rumbling sound is heard loudly and consistently inside the van. This is my only mode of transportation and I am gravely concerned the wheel may indeed fly off the car and as a precaution I am driving slower than the speed limit on roads causing other drivers to become frustrated and close to hitting the back of my van. I need this issue addressed immediately to ensure the safety of everyone.
Car turns off suddenly while driving on the freeway at freeway speeds.
This van has had a transmission failure that lead to it stopping while driving 60mph down a freeway, several check engine light issues that were erroneous or needed software updates and now has an open recall for side airbags that may fail and allow a child to go thru a window during g a crash. This is a hazard we do not want to risk with our children
The rear brake at 4MM at 32K miles at the time of OIL change at dealer and front BRAKE still have 7MM, as a mechanical engineer, I know this should not happen. also while driving, there is high freq metal sound, I have notified the dealer every time I went to oil change, they confirmed it is fine but I do not feel safe. 2nd issue is the powertrain system feels no power while climbing hills and the car almost stops and sliding back even I put on gas pedal and almost hit the car behind me one time. 3rd issue is that gas door seal is broken within first year of use, it could cause gas leaking.
Rear view camera will not come on in reverse. All fuses are good with no visible damage to wires. Head unit was factory reset with no resolve.
Stellantis "released" recall for 2022-2025 Chrysler Pacifica vehicles. This specific VIN number involves recall 54C. I work for a dealership, Stellantis has a large order restrictions on the part(s) despite having over 6k parts available in parts distribution centers ready to be shipped in the US. The parts are currently limited to dealers only being able to order 2 parts every 7 days. On top of that, the recall has been "released" but inside the recall document, it is stating that only model years 2024-2025 are available, and have not actually released it for model years 2022-2023, despite the repair procedure (and parts) being the same for all model years. They will not pay any claims to dealers on this recall for 2022-2023 vehicles. This behavior is not isolated to this recall, and happens in numerous recalls released by Stellantis. For a safety recall, there should not be an order restriction to dealerships, especially if there is recall parts available in PDC's. If needed, I can provide screenshots of order restriction, and the current part supply in PDC's within the US.
On September 5, 2025 I took my vehicle to be serviced at Earnhardt Dodge in Gilbert AZ. I informed the service attendant that I believed there might be a recall on my air bags. Upon checkout I didn’t see if the recall was serviced among other things and it wasn’t listed as being completed. On [XXX] a deer struck the front of my vehicle while driving at high speeds. The air bags didn’t deploy and the air bag light illuminated after the accident. In October 1st my vehicle was taken to Earnhardt Collison and a diagnostic check was done on my vehicle yet the light or anything else regarding the airbags was not listed in the appraisal after I notified Earnhardt and USAA that the airbag light was on after the accident. After they continued to ignore my request I demanded my car be transfered to a new body shop and it not be touched on October 3rd. On October 7th USAA finally agreed to transfer my vehicle to a new collision center but without my knowledge they conducted another appraisal which listed another pre and post diagnostics on the appraisal. When I brought this to the attention of my USAA adjuster he didn’t reply to my questions directly and instead gave a off the topic answer. The vehicle currently sits at a different body shop after approving a teardown and waiting on a new official estimate. I specifically requested any air bag light or diagnostic be noted. We have a continuing issue with the Pacifica of showing a dashboard warning of "STOP SAFELY VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF SOON''. The power becomes diminished and with a few minutes, all power is lost, including lights, engine, all dash warnings are gone. After sitting on the side of the road for a few minutes, the vehicle will restart like nothing happened. Occurrences shown in order by date, location and mileage. [XXX] in Gatlinburg, TN with approx 1800 miles. Dealer found error codes relating to hybrid system but could not repair for at least 4 weeks. Advised to continue trip and make an appointment when we return to Georgia. [XXX] on [XXX] enroute to Myrtle Beach the issue reoccurred [XXX] in for repairs at Chrysler 3206 miles. April 18, back to dealer same issue at 14,145 miles. Extensive repairs performed on hybrid system. April 24 with 14,303, same issue. Received vehicle back on June 20, 2025. [XXX], another occurrence with 15,645. This time the vehicle would not shut down by the FOB but would not function at all, though the dash stated put vehicle in park, but it was in park.. Ackerman Towing of Macon, GA attempted to tow vehicle, but the parking brake would not release nor would the transmission shift into neutral. After 3 hours, vehicle finally shut down and restarted. Back to Chrysler. Received vehicle back Aug 13. They could not find a problem. [XXX] enroute to VA Beach. Same issue at 17,750 miles on [XXX] outside of Lumberton, NC. Restarted after a few minutes. Continued trip. I feel this problem of shutting down is a death trap. Losing all power including outside lights could easily become catastrophic, especially if it happened after dark. Chrysler is aware and seems to be unable to find a remedy. I have more info, but out of characters to relay more. Info below relates to last occurrence INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I recently purchased a 2023 chrysler pacifica hybrid that did not have a recall listed for the loss of power incident. Within 24 hours of buying the car it died on me while driving. I was driving on a two lane busy road when without warning the vehicle beeped loudly and suddenly I lost all ability to use propulsion. The car illuminated that I should brake and it will shut off soon but soon was immediate and I had zero time to safely exit the road. After dying a little turtle symbol showed up on the dash and the check engine light became illuminated. Once I was able to get the vehicle restarted the check engine light remained illuminated and ai arranged for the car to be seen at the dealer right away. I took it to the dealer within a few minutes of this event and they did the update that was supposed to fix something. Within 3 days it repeated the same event. It is now sitting at the dealership to be looked at again. I had no time to stop safely, had I been on the highway the ability to remove myself safely from the road would have been zero percent chance. How long before the government steps in and holds Chrysler accountable for their poor quality and repairs that fix nothing? I lost power completely. I lost the ability to maintain speed in order to safely remove myself from the road. My family could have been killed. These are family vehicles, out yourself in the shoes of someone with children, would you feel safe putting your kids in a car that could die on you at any moment without any real warning signs?
I was recently on a trip and I was traveling I39 in Wi at 70mph there was a Semi next to me on the right side and another Semi in front of me approximately 5 car lengths when all of a sudden the the brakes applied with the dash lighting up saying Brake in big red letters this braking action happened for about 2 seconds This was a very dangerous situation as there were vehicles behind me
While driving in the carpool lane on the freeway, the vehicle displayed “Stop Safely. Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon” and lost all power. I am pregnant and had four children (ages [XXX] , [XXX] , [XXX] , and [XXX] ) in the vehicle. The outside temperature was over 100°F, and we were two hours from home. The car was completely disabled in heavy traffic, creating an extreme safety risk for my family. After waiting about 15–20 minutes, the vehicle restarted and we were able to continue. A code scan showed P0A78 – Drive Motor “A” Inverter Performance. This is a serious safety concern, and I am requesting immediate inspection and repair under warranty. See attached document for complaint. I am writing to you with deep concern to report a serious matter regarding the safety of a vehicle I recently purchased and to respectfully request your intervention in a case that endangers not only my safety as a consumer but also that of the passengers transported in this automobile. On XXXX X, XXXX, I purchased a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Wagon 40 Touring L 3.GL VG, VIN number [XXX] , through Napleton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, located at 1460 E Osceola Pkwy, Kissimmee, FL 34744. The vehicle was financed by XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX LLC under loan number XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX. Prior to the purchase, the sales representative informed me that the vehicle had a recall. However, I was assured that it was a minor issue of no real consequence and that I could take it to any Chrysler dealership the following day for immediate resolution. Unfortunately, this statement turned out to be entirely false. To my shock, when I went to the dealership to address the recall, I was informed that the issue was related to the rear seat airbags and that no solution is currently available from the manufacturer. Since then, I have visited several Chrysler dealerships seeking assistance, and in every case, I was told that nothing could be done until Chrysler provides an official remedy. As a provisional measure, I requested a replacement or loaner vehicle to ensure the safety of the occupants-particularly those seated in the rear seats-but I was instructed to contact Chrysler's customer service directly. On August 25, 2025, I contacted Chrysler's customer service and spoke with a representative named XXXXX, who documented my case in detail. During that call, I also reported that the vehicle is experiencing additional operational issues, specifically with the engine and steering. On several occasions, the steering has locked up, preventing the wheel from turning and creating an even greater risk of an accident. I firmly believe that this vehicle should never have been sold or delivered in such condition, as it poses serious and unacceptable risks to occupant safety. The absence of functional rear-seat airbags represents a direct and potentially life-threatening hazard in the event of a collision. In my view, this constitutes a violation of the minimum safety standards that any new vehicle sold in the United States must meet. For these reasons, I respectfully request that the NHTSA intervene to investigate this case and assist me in obtaining a clear resolution from either the dealership or the manufacturer. At present, I find myself in a situation of insecurity, frustration, and financial detriment, compounded by the mechanical failures described and the lack of adequate support. I sincerely thank you in advance for your time and attention. I remain available to provide any documentation or additional information you may require to proceed with this formal complaint. Vehicle often has a "system charging system" error that prevents it from turning on and driving. This happens when the system is not charging.
On 8/12/2025, he vehicle displayed a warning that said "Stop Safely, Vehicle will shut off soon" shortly after it was parked. It also displayed a red turtle and the check engine light. There was no warning or check engine light prior to the message that the vehicle was going to shut off. Fortunately, we had already parked safely, but were on the freeway traveling and about an hour away from home. It was 100 degrees outside, and we were stranded with no help from Chrysler customer care other than to tow the vehicle, leaving our kids and dog in a parking lot with no car. We declined this option and had it checked by a diagnostic computer at Jiffy Lube, which returned no diagnostic code. Eventually, all of the warnings and check engine lights went off, and we were able to take it home. We took it to the dealership at the earliest opportunity on 08/14, and they confirmed that this is a known issue and would require a transmission replacement. There is no timeline on the repair or replacement, only that it will take "a while". They do not advise that we take the van back because the issue could come nback at any moment and the vehicle could shut off without warning.
On August 2, while traveling about 75 MPH, the check engine light came on along with the warning "Stop Safely – Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon". The vehicle started immediately losing power. We were driving in the fast lane in traffic so pulling over was difficult and dangerous. After we were to the side of the road, we turned the van off. After 10 minutes or so, we continued on and pulled over at a rest stop. We have an OBD2 and checked the codes. At first, there were no codes even though the check engine light was on. After checking a few times, there were 2 codes. They were P1C65 PD and P0A43. I took the van into the dealership on August 4. They saw one of the codes saved. On August 7 the dealership preformed a software update. They were not able to reproduce the issue. Today, September 19, while driving, the check engine light came on with the warning "Stop Safely – Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon". The vehicle again started immediately losing power. This time it happened when traveling about 45 MPH.
FCA US LLC, has decided that certain [2022-2025 model year (RU) Chrysler Pacifica and Chrysler Voyager] vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 226 – Ejection Mitigation. According to these Recall notices: 06C/NHTSA 25V-302 I drive my children in the car, and it is unsafe to drive them due to this air bag issue. I have asked Chrysler corporate for both a rental replacement at no cost to me until a remedy is available or to buy back the vehicle. I have called them 4 times, I have taken the car to the dealership to validate there are no other safety issues outside of the recall. They have not responded. I would like a replacement vehicle or I would like them to buy back the car.
There is a recall with NHTSA Recall # 25V-302 with no known fix. This recall, which is a problem with the curtain air bags is a major safety issue. From the recall information: "Curtain airbags which do not have proper pressure retention may reduce occupant protection and increase the risk of partial and complete ejection and injury of an occupant through a side window during certain types of crashes." I drive my children in this car, and when I first learned of this recall, I asked Chrysler to provide me a replacement vehicle that was safe for my children. They refused to do this. They escalated my case to a case manager, who has not responded to my emails nor my phone calls since September 30th, 2025. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer in August, and the only issue with the car was the recall.
I received the recall notification for Campaign 25V-302 regarding the Curtain Airbag (CAB) defect, which per the manufacturer's notice may fail to retain sufficient pressure during deployment, increasing the risk of occupant ejection through a side window during a crash. The notification informed us that no parts were available at that time. Many months later we received another notification that parts were now available. Upon contacting the dealer, I was informed that parts were not available. I have been waiting for parts to become available for an extended period. Most recently, the dealer scheduled a repair appointment for Tuesday of this week. Approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment, the dealer called to cancel, stating that the parts were still not available. A new appointment was scheduled for the following week. As of today, the dealer has confirmed parts are still not available. Throughout this period, I have been required to continue operating the vehicle, including with my family as passengers, with a known, unremedied ejection-mitigation defect. The manufacturer has not offered a loaner vehicle or any alternative transportation, and no firm parts availability date has been provided. Concurrent stranding failure: Separately, today (23rd April), the vehicle failed to start in my driveway. Symptoms included: interior electronics (infotainment, lights) powered on, but the start button produced no response, the brake pedal would not depress (electronic brake booster inoperative), and the steering wheel remained locked. No error message was displayed. The vehicle was ultimately determined to have a dead 12V battery, the second battery failure on this vehicle, with the previous battery having been replaced under warranty by the dealer in August 2025 (only 8 months prior to this failure). The dealer has declined to investigate whether a parasitic electrical draw or other underlying defect is causing repeat battery failures.
I can't rent out the car due to a safety recall and I can't sell it either to Chrysler dealerships because they can't sell it to the public. It's been 2 month since there is not fix, they said there would be a fix by Quarter 3 this year but nothing yet. I just want Chrysler to buy the car back with the same amount I purchased it for.
Driving on the highway, all of a sudden, my car dashboard shows a message that " Vehicle will shut off soon" and the accelerator does not work. It was horrifying; there is no median to pull the vehicle out.
While traveling on an interstate highway at highway speed (65-70 mph), a red turtle warning light came on with the message "Pull over Safely; vehicle will shut off soon." Almost immediately, we lost all power and glided into the right-hand shoulder. We narrowly missed being rear-ended. We got it to a local dealer, where the service department informed us we need a new transmission. The car has less than 13,000 miles on it.
