SEAT BELT COMES UNFASTEN WHILE DRIVING. HAPPENS EVERTIME I DRIVE THE CAR. DRIVERS SIDE BELT IS THE ONLY ONE EFFECTED. HAPPENS WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION.
IT WAS MY NEPHEW CAR, DRIVING MY MOTHER. MY MOTHER WAS INJURED WITH INTERNAL BLEEDING, FRACTURES, AND 1/3-1/2 OF HER BODY BRUISED. SHE SAYS THE SEAT BELT DIDNT LOCK, AND SHE FLEW UP A BIT FROM HER SEAT. SHE HAD A HUGE BRUISE UNDER HER THIGH TOO. SHE WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. MY NEPHEW HAD LITTLE BRUISING IN THE DRIVER SEAT. THE OTHER CAR THAT WAS INVOLVED, THE DRIVER WAS OK.. AND WALKING TOO. MY ISSUE IS DOES THIS CAR HAVE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SEAT BELT NOT LOCKING IN A CRASH? PLEASE LET ME KNOW, AS I WOULD LIKE THE CAR INVESTIGATED BEFORE THEY LET THE INSURANCE COMPANY GET IT, AS IT WAS TOTALED PER THEM, AS IT HIT HEAD ON WITH ANOTHER CAR SAIDE.
IN NOVEMBER OF 2015 I WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT IN WHICH I HIT A DEER DOING ROUGHLY 75 MILES PER HOUR HEAD ON AND THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY!

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PT CRUISER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CLOCK SPRING WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT DID NOT HAVE THE CLOCK SPRING REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,164. UPDATED 07/16/14
WE WERE REAR ENDED WHILE ON VACATION. THE CAR WAS DRIVABLE AND IT WAS PUT IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS. THE OTHER PERSON WAS AT FAULT. WHEN WE GOT THE CAR BACK WE NOTICED THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT WOULD STAY ON FOR A MINUTE OR TWO AND THEN GO OFF. THIS CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. THE CAR REPAIR SHOP CHECKED SEAT BELTS AND SUCH. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AS THIS WAS A REAR END COLLISION. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE REPAIR SHOP HAS HAD TO REPAIR WORK THAT WAS NOT DONE RIGHT. COULD THEY HAVE MESSED UP THE CODES AS THE TEMP DOES NOT WORK RIGHT.? WERE THE AIRBAGS DAMAGED ? THE ESTIMATED SPEED HE HIT US WAS 35MPH. WE BOTH GOT CERVICAL SPRAIN AND MINE IS WORSE. *TR
STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT REAR ENDED AND PUSHED INTO VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME FRONT END AND REAR END DAMAGE AIR BAGS DIDNT DEPLOY

DRIVER SUFFERED A DIABETIC HYPOGLYCEMIC INCIDENT AND RAN OFF THE ROAD AND COLLIDED WITH A GUARD RAIL. THE ACCIDENT WAS A FRONTAL IMPACT THAT RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE FRONT BUMPER, FENDERS, ENGINE COMPARTMENT, SUSPENSION, AND FRAME. THE ACCIDENT DAMAGED APPROXIMATELY 40' OF GUARD RAIL, INCLUDING THE END SECTION. DURING THE ACCIDENT, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE HAS A HISTORY OF INTERMITTENT AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ACTIVATION, AND HAS UNDERGONE REPLACEMENT OF SEVERAL KEY COMPONENTS OF THE CONTROL SYSTEM (I.E. SRS MODULE, CLOCKSPRING IN STEERING COLUMN, AND WIRING HARNESS UNDER FRONT PASSENGER SEAT). THE VEHICLE SPEED AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT IS UNKNOWN, BUT ESTIMATED AT LESS THAN 40MPH. WEATHER WAS CLEAR, SUNNY. TRAFFIC WAS NONE TO LIGHT CONDITIONS. ROAD CONDITIONS WERE EXCELLENT. DRIVER SUFFERED MINOR WHIPLASH NECK INJURY AND WAS TREATED/RELEASED FOR THE HOSPITAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. SHOULD THE AIR BAGS HAVE DEPLOYED IN THIS TYPE OF ACCIDENT? DID THE PRIOR ISSUES AND REPAIRS OF THE AIR BAG CONTROL SYSTEM HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING? DID THE VEHICLE FRONTAL CRUSH ZONE AND THE IMPACT ATTENUATION OF THE GUARD RAIL SYSTEM AFFECT THE DECELERATION OF THE VEHICLE TO THE POINT WHERE THE AIR BAGS DID NOT NEED TO DEPLOY? INTERNET RESEARCH OF THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ISSUE (UNCONFIRMED BLOG-TYPE ENTRIES) INDICATES THAT OTHER VEHICLES OF THIS MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR (INCLUDING 1 - 2 PRIOR MODEL YEARS) HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN FRONT END COLLISIONS WHERE THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
