TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PT CRUISER EQUIPPED WITH GOODYEAR EAGLE LS TIRES, SIZE P195/65/R15. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD SHAKE VIOLENTLY. THE CONTACT ROTATED THE FRONT TIRES FROM THE FRONT TO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER THE ROTATION, HE NOTICED THAT THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WOULD BOUNCE WHEN DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE CONTACT REMOVED BOTH REAR TIRES AND NOTICED THAT THE TREAD WAS SEPARATING FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE TIRE TO THE OUTSIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 32,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 58,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PT CRUISER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, SHE EXPERIENCED TWO TIRE BLOWOUTS ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE FIRST BLOWOUT WAS ON THE REAR DRIVER SIDE AND THE SECOND WAS ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE RIM AND DETERMINED THE RIM WAS THE ACTUAL CAUSE OF THE TIRE FAILURE. THE OTHER 3 RIMS WERE NOT REPLACED BECAUSE THE DEALER ADVISED THERE WERE NO DEFECTS FOUND ON THE RIMS. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED TWO ADDITIONAL TIRE BLOWOUTS DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT WITH THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING REPAIRS AND A DIAGNOSTIC OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 39,000 AND THE CURRENT WAS UNKNOWN.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PT CRUISER. THE VEHICLE HAS GOODYEAR EAGLE TIRES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEEL BELTED RADIAL SEPARATED FROM ONE OF THE TIRES AND LEFT A HOLE. THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE FLATTENED. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A GOODYEAR TIRE STORE AND THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY BECAUSE OF THE HOLE. THE GOODYEAR STORE STATED THAT THE CONTACT'S DRIVING AND FAILURE TO HAVE THE TIRES ALIGNED PROPERLY CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED A CLAIM NUMBER AND SENT HIM TO ANOTHER GOODYEAR TIRE STORE. THE VIN, TIRE SIZE, AND DOT NUMBER WERE UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,400.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PT CRUISER. THE VEHICLE HAS GOODYEAR EAGLE TIRES, SIZE P/205/55/R16 WITH SCHRADER VALVE STEMS, MODEL TR413(NA). WHILE CHECKING THE AIR IN THE TIRES ,THE VALVE STEM ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE FAILED HALFWAY IN THE THREADED AREA, WHICH CAUSED THE TIRE TO BLOW. WITHIN THE VALVE STEM, THE CONTACT NOTICED GREEN CORROSION ON EACH TIRE WHERE THE STEM WAS LOCATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE VALVE STEM FAILED AND CAUSED THE TIRE TO BLOW. THE VALVE STEM HAS BEEN REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE TIRE STEM; THEREFORE, HE WOULD NOT BE REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIRS. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 14,272.
GOODYEAR EAGLE LS TIRES ON MY 2006 PT CRUISER, I HAVE HAD 3 SIDEWALL BLOWOUTS, THE 1ST ONE BLEW OUT WITH LESS THAN 400 MILES ON THE VEHICLE, THE SECOND BLOWOUT CAME WITH LESS THAN 15,000 MILES AND ALSO WAS IN THE SIDEWALL, THE 3RD BLOWOUT CAME THIS PAST SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD WHILE ON THE FREEWAY AND DOING 65MPH, ALL THREE WERE SIDEWALL BLOWOUTS. THE TIRE SIZE ON ALL 3 WERE 165/65/R15 WITHIN THIS COMPLAINT FILING DOESN'T GIVE ME THE OPTION TO ADD THE OTHER 2 BLOWOUTS, BUT, I HAVE LET YOU KNOW IN THIS PARAGRAPH THAT I HAVE HAD 3 BLOWOUTS OF THE SAME OEM TIRES. *TR
