PURCHASED 2013 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY IN JULY OF 2020 AND IT HAD A CLEAN RECORD, WAS A FORMER CARMAX VEHICLE AND MY INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REVIEWED THE VEHICLE AND DEEMED IT A GOOD PURCHASE. I HAVE SINCE CARED FOR THE VEHICLE AND IT HAS RUN WELL UNTIL RECENTLY SEVERAL ERROR CODES CAME UP. P0300, P0456, P0455, P0175. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC AND THEY SAID THIS COULD BE A VEHICLE MANUFACTURER ISSUE. THE CODES SAY SOMETHING ABOUT EVP LEAK, MISFIRE AND SYSTEM RUNNING TOO RICH. THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED TO ENSURE A RECALL ISN'T NECESSARY. REPAIRS ARE WELL OVER $1000 AND NOT DUE TO ANY PRE EXISTING ISSUES.
THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST SPONTANEOUSLY BUSTED OPEN ABS CANNOT BE PUT BACK BECAUSE THE RINGS THAT HOLD IT IN PLACE BROKE. WE WERE NOT IN MOTION. SOMEONE SAT IN THE SEAT SND IT HAPPENED WITHOUT CAUSE.
VAN PERIODICALLY STALLS WHEN DRIVING (NO WARNING LIGHTS COME ON), LUCKILY IT HAS BEEN ON LOCAL ROADS AND NOT AN INTERSTATE. IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 6-7 TIMES IN THE LAST SIX MONTHS. I'VE HAD IT IN TWICE TO OUR REGULAR SHOP. THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY FIRST, AND THEN SUGGESTED WE TAKE TO THE DEALER (AS THEY HAD RECENTLY SENT A DURAGO TO DEALER FOR SAME PROBLEM). DEALER REPLACED THER,OSTAT AND PROMISED THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. STILL DOING IT. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE, IT'S NOT SAFE! SEARCHES HAVE REVEALED MANY CONSUMERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. IT LAST HAPPENED 3/22/21.
The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH uphill, the vehicle independently stopped. The vehicle was shifted into reverse(R) and the vehicle inadvertently drove forward. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic with the check engine warning light illuminated. The mechanic replaced the fuel pump, spark plugs, and alternator. The mechanic stated there might also be a failure with the TIPM. The vehicle was also towed to another independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined there was a failure with the fuel line connector and an abnormal clicking noise. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
THE VAN DIES ON ME WHILE DRIVING. NOT IN IDLE, ONLY WHILE DIVING. THE SHOP REPLACED ALTERNATOR (I TOOK IN OLD ALTERNATOR TO GET TESTED, ALL GOOD). VAN SILL DIES, SHOP THINKS IT'S FUEL PUMP. BEEN DOING THIS OVER A MONTH, THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE EGR RELATED BUT I'VE BEEN TOLD 2013 DOES NOT HAVE EGR. PLEASE ADVISE. IT'S NOT SAFE.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY WITH THE DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR. THE CONTACT CALLED LANDMARK DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (1900 S. NOLAND RD, INDEPENDENCE, MO 64055) AND INFORMED THE DEALER OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000.
WHEN COMING TO A STOP THE ENGINE WILL STALL. RADIO AND INSTRUMENT PANEL STAYS POWERED UP. BRAKES AND STEERING DO NOT WORK. IF THE VAN IS PUT INTO PARK AND THEN RESTARTED IT WILL WORK AGAIN. THIS ONLY OCCURS WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND NOT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED.
THE ELECTRICAL AND ENGINE SHUT OFF MORE THAN A DOZEN TIMES OVER SEVERAL MONTHS, SUMMER, FALL AND WINTER, WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN CITY TRAFFIC, WITH NO OTHER KNOWN CORRELATIONS. ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES ALSO CEASED TO FUNCTION. THIS NECESSITATED MY PLACING THE TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL TO REENGAGE THE IGNITION, WHICH IMMEDIATELY RESTARTED THE ENGINE. . PERHAPS ALSO RELATED: AFTER OVERNIGHT, IMMEDIATELY AFTER ENGAGING THE IGNITION, STARTER AND BRIEFLY THE ENGINE, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF WHEN I RELEASED THE IGNITION SWITCH. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN A ROW. ONLY RECENTLY HAS THIS PROBLEM FIRST OCCURRED DUURINH THE SEVERAL YEARS WE HAVE HAD THE CAR. ONLY AFTER I ENGAGING THE GAS PEDAL WHILE ENGAGING THE IGNITION AND INCREASING THE RPMS DID THE ENGINE BEGIN TO FUNCTION NORMALLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL DAYS WHEN THE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 30F.

THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES USING THE PUSH TO START AND MANUAL START FEATURE HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO SOUTH OAK JEEP DODGE RAM CHRYSLER (4550 LINCOLN HWY, MATTESON, IL 60443, (708) 747-7950) WHO WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START THE FOLLOWING THREE DAYS. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO THE SAME DEALER WHO WAS THEN UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE OR IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT AT TIMES THE FUEL PUMP SEEMED TO BE RUNNING WITHOUT THE VEHICLE BEING TURNED ON. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
THE CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW IN 2012. AS OF TODAY THE ACTUAL MILEAGE ON THE CAR IS ONLY 9,761. THE ORIGINAL BUYERS OF THE CAR RETURNED IT TO THE DEALER 5 TIMES FOR NO START OR ENGINE DYING . THE TIPM WAS REPLACED UNDER A RECALL ON THE SECOND VISIT, BUT THE OTHER 4 TIMES THE DEALER COULD NOT REPAIR BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE SYMPTOMS. I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE CAR NOT KNOWING OF THE HISTORY. ON THE FOURTH START, ENGINE WOULD CRANK BUT NOT RUN. AFTER THE 6TH ATTEMPT, IT SPRANG TO LIFE. I DROVE IT 60 MILESTO MY HOME BUT WOULD NOT START AGAIN. IT APPEARS TO HAVE A HARD FAILURE AT LAST. THE SELLERS ARE NOW IN THEIR 80S AND WERE AFRAID TO DRIVE IT AND BE STRANDED. THIS IS A TRUE DEFINITION OF A LEMON. THE CAR WAS TO REPLACE MY GRAND CARAVAN WHICH HAS ALWAYS BEEN RELIABLE.. AFTER DELIVERY OF THE CAR, I WAS GIVEN THE FULL SERVICE HISTORY SO I CAN VERIFY WHAT I SAID ABOVE. I AM AN ENGINEER AND A ASE CERTIFIED MASTER MECHANIC.
FOR THE THIRD TIME THE VEHICLE HAS SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, LOSING ALL POWER STEERING CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE. THE AUTOMATIC LIGHTS HAVE ALSO SHUT OFF MULTIPLE TIMES AT NIGHT WHILE NEAR AND PASSING OTHER CARS. WE HAVE ALMOST BEEN STRUCK DUE TO THESE CONDITIONS.

THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 886.

THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND RECONNECTED THE FUEL LINE AND THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE RESIDENCE. THE FOLLOWING DAY WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND RECONNECTED THE FUEL LINE FOR A SECOND TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DAYTONA DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM & FIAT (1450 N. TOMOKA FARMS RD SUITE A, DAYTONA BEACH, FL 32124) AND REMAINED IN THE DEALER POSSESSION. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE FUEL LINE WAS RESCUED TO THE FUEL RAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,581.*DT*JB
FUEL PUMP KEEPS RUNNING AFTER KEY IS REMOVED. VAN WON'T START NO FUEL. IRATIC ENGINE KEEPS TRYING TO START WITH KEY RELEASED. NOT A CONSTANT 3 OR 4 TIMES A WEEK. STATIONARY.

THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AS BEING THE IGNITION MODULE AFTER CONTACTING SEVERAL INDEPENDNENT MECHANICS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE 104,000.

THE VEHICLE LOSS MOTIVE POWER WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT VEERED TO THE SHOULD OF THE ROAD DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL WHICH WAS SOFT. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE 3 TIMES, AFTER WHICH THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE OR RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS TEST DRIVEN HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO BROOKFIELD CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1845 PIPESTONE RD, BENTON HARBOR, MI 49022) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED. THE TECHNICIAN RESET SEVERAL UNKNOWN CODES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
THE TIPM IS BAD CAUSING A FPR PROBLEM, CAUSING COLD STARTS OR NO START AS WELL AS STALLING OR A COMPLETE POWER DRAIN OF A BRAND NEW BATTERY PURCHASED 11.22.20 THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL
THE DRIVER ACTIVE HEAD REST EXPLODED FORWARD WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I WAS SIMPLY DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND A LOAD BOOM HAPPENED AND I WAS HIT IN THE HEAD. THE HEAD REST IS STICKING FORWARD FROM THE REST OF THE PIECE. IT LOOKS LIKE THE PLASTIC PIECE HOLDING THE ROD BROKE CAUSING THE HEAD REST TO SHOOT FORWARD.
WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT ON A CITY STREET AT APPROXIMATELY 45MPH, THE PASSENGER HEADREST AIRBAG DEPLOYED. THERE WAS NO COLLISION, AND I WAS NOT REAR ENDED.
ON TWO OCCASIONS WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING, BOTH TIMES WHILE ON A TOWN ROAD, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF ALMOST LIKE THE VEHICLE HAD ITS IGNITION TURNED OFF. TOTAL LOSS OF POWER TO EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL, LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. SHE WAS ABLE TO GET THE VAN PULLED OVER, AND ONCE SHE WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, SHE WAS ABLE TO GET IT STARTED RIGHT AWAY.
AFTER THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF, THE TIPM CONTINUES TO RUN THE FUEL PUMP.
FUEL PUMP RELAY INSIDE THE TIPM FAILED, CAUSING CAR TO STALL WHILE IN MOTION WITH LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. IF THIS HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IT COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE AND OTHER DODGE/CHRYSLER VEHICLES HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR SIMILAR FAILURES IN 2011 MODELS. SUGGESTED INTERNET FIXES INVOLVE BYPASSING THE FUEL PUMP RELAY WITH A JUMPER THAT COULD RESULT IN FIRE.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR IT WOULD JUST STALL AT 40+ MPH AND I WOULD JUST ROLL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES LEAVING ME STRANDED UNTIL THE ENGINE COULD BE RESTARTED 30 T0 40 MINUTES LATER. I'M WORRIED THIS COULD HAPPEN AT ANYTIME ANYWHERE EVENTUALLY LEADING TO AN ACCIDENT. I AM VERY CONCERNED. I'VE BEEN TO CHRYSLER SEVERAL TIMES FOR FIXES WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. THEY HAVE NO REMEDY AT THIS POINT. I AM VERY CONCERNED!
PARTS IN THE HEADREST BREAK AND HEADREST POPPED FORWARD HITTING DRIVER AND PASSENGER IN BACK OF THE HEAD THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONERY ONE TIME THE SECOND TIME IT WAS MOVING ON A RURAL HIGHWAY
PROBLEM BEGINS WITH RANDOM DING, ALL DASHBOARD LIGHTS COME ON, SPEEDOMETER/FUEL GAUGE/TACHOMETER DO NOT FUNCTION AT ALL, TURN SIGNALS & HAZARDS DON'T WORK, WIPERS TURN ON BY THEMSELVES FOR A FEW SWIPES AND THEN GO BACK OFF. THIS LASTS A FEW SECONDS AND GOES BACK TO NORMAL. REOCCURS RANDOMLY, LASTING FROM 10 SECONDS TO A FULL DAY OF DRIVING. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE VAN IS MOVING OR STILL, JUST STARTED OR BEEN RUNNING- IT HAPPENS VERY RANDOMLY. YESTERDAY, I STARTED THE VAN AND ALL DASH LIGHTS WERE LIT, NO GAUGES WORKED, AND TURN SIGNALS & HAZARDS DID NOT WORK FOR SEVERAL HOURS. TODAY I STARTED IT AND AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 5 MINUTES, FIXED ITSELF AND WENT BACK TO NORMAL.
WHEN STARTING IT SHUTS OFF AND TAKE A FEW TRIES BEFORE STARTING. USING PUSH BOTTOM START HAPPENS EVERYDAY ABOUT 1 MONTH AFTER BUYING IT

THE VAN WAS STATIONARY AND THERE WAS NO IMPACT OR CAUSE FOR THE DEPLOYMENT/. I WAS IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT THE HEADREST HIT THE BACK OF MY HEAD WITH FORCE. WE WERE UNABLE TO RESET THE HEADRESTS AS THE PLASTIC CLIP HOLDING THE METAL ROD HAD BROKEN ON BOTH HEADRESTS
ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT ON FRONT PASSENGER SEAT DEPLOYED UNEXPECTEDLY WITH NO CAUSE OR WARNING. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.
WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING AND THE HEADREST AIRBAG DEPLOYED. WE WERE STARTING TO SLOW DOWN TO TURN AND THE HEADREST AIRBAG DEPLOYED
I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE AC NOT WORKING, AS I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER FOR THE LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR A POOR DESIGN. IT SITS OVER THE REAR WHEEL WHICH LETS ROAD DEBREE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE HAS BEEN FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND HAS NEVER BEEN CORRECTED.

WE WERE UNABLE TO RESET THE HEADRESTS AS THE PLASTIC CLIP HOLDING THE METAL ROD HAD BROKEN ON BOTH HEADRESTS.
INTERMITTENTLY, WHILE I'M DRIVING OR EVEN IN PARK SOMETIMES, MY VAN WILL SHUT OFF. SOMETIMES IT WILL TURN BACK ON (ON ITS OWN) OR I HAVE TO CRANK THE ENGINE BACK ON, EITHER BY PUTTING IT IN PARK AND TURNING KEY OVER OR PUTTING MY VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND TURNING IT BACK ON THAT WAY. IT'S HAPPENED IN MULTIPLE PLACES, MULTIPLE TIMES - WHILE STATIONARY, DRIVING ON CITY STREET OR DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE. IT IS VERY UNSAFE!
VAN HAS SHUT OFF RANDOMLY 4 TIMES NOW. THE FIRST THREE TIMES WAS WHILE SITTING STILL. IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP THE FIRST TIME BUT TOOK AWHILE TO START UP THE SECOND TIME. THE THIRD TIME IT ALSO STARTED RIGHT BACK UP. THE LAST TIME IT SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING THROUGH TOWN AT ABOUT 35 MPH. LOST ALL BRAKING AND STEERING. VAN WILL NOT START BACK UP.

The contact stated that occasionally while driving at various speeds or while the vehicle was idling, the engine would shake with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to several independent mechanics on multiple occasions to have the coils, spark plugs, oil pan and other vehicle parts replaced; however, the failure persisted. An independent mechanic eventually discovered that there were engine misfires in cylinders #2, #4, #6; the contact was then informed of a service bulletin that the mechanic related to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the service bulletin and informed him that his vehicle was not covered under warranty. The contact then called the dealer and made an appointment for a diagnostic test. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 89,000.

UPON RESEARCH, I HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE FROM OTHER OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE TYPE SPANNING THE YEARS 2012-2014 WITH A HIGH NUMBER OF PROBLEMS WITH THE SAME TWO PARTS. I DO BELIEVE THESE PARTS ARE DANGEROUS AND FAULTY OR AN INVESTIGATION LEADING TO THE CAUSE SHOULD BE DONE. I CONSIDER MYSELF LUCKY THAT MY VEHICLE DID NOT SHUT OFF ON A HIGHWAY OR DANGEROUS CONDITION AS I HAVE HEARD THESE TYPE VEHICLES DOING THAT TO OTHERS IN THEIR TESTIMONIALS. MY 20123 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY HAS AN ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT HEADREST. IT MOVES FORWARD IN AN ACCIDENT TO LESSEN THE LIKELIHOOD OF WHIPLASH. MY DRIVER'S SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED (SNAPPED INTO THE FORWARD POSITION) WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED AND TURNED OFF. I WAS PICKING UP A BAG FROM BEHIND THE DRIVER'S SEAT WHEN THIS HAPPENED. IT WAS STARTLING TO SAY THE LEAST. I WAS NOT HURT, BUT I HAVE READ THAT OTHERS WHO WERE ACTUALLY SITTING IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT HAVE BEEN HURT DUE TO THE HEADREST HITTING THEM IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. I LOOKED AT THE MECHANISM THAT RELEASES THE SPRING-LOADED HEADREST, AND IT WAS BROKEN. SEVERAL PIECES OF BROKEN PLASTIC WERE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HEADREST BOX, AND A METAL BAR THAT SERVES TO HOLD THE HEADREST IN THE NORMAL POSITION WAS AT AN ANGLE WITH BROKEN PLASTIC AROUND IT. IT'S PRETTY CLEAR THAT THE PLASTIC RETAINED THE METAL BAR, AND THIS PLASTIC SIMPLY BROKE AND RELEASED THE HEADREST TO SPRING FORWARD. IN MY ESTIMATION, THE PLASTIC HOLDING THE BAR WAS INSUFFICIENT IN STRENGTH TO SERVE ITS FUNCTION RELIABLY LONG-TERM. IT'S A BAD DESIGN. FORUMS ON THE INTERNET CONFIRM THAT THIS FAILURE IS NOT INFREQUENT AND SOMETIMES HARMFUL TO THE PERSON IN THE SEAT. THE COST OF REPLACEMENT OF THE HEADREST IS ABOUT $700. I WOULD ESTIMATE THAT THE REPAIR WOULD TAKE AN EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN ABOUT 15 MINUTES, SO THE HEADREST MUST BE QUITE PRICEY. SINCE THE HEADREST IS FUNCTIONALLY IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS AN AIRBAG, AND SINCE IT CAN CAUSE PHYSICAL HARM WHEN IT SUDDENLY BREAKS FOR NO CAUSE OTHER THEN DESIGN FAILURE, I BELIEVE THAT THE HEADREST SHOULD BE RECALLED. CONSUMERS SHOULD NOT BEAR THE BURDEN OF REPAIRING A FAULTY DESIGN IN A SAFETY SYSTEM.

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
