ELECTRIC THROTTLE- I WAS DRIVING AT 35 ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR LOSES POWER AND MY ETC LID UP AND MY CAR SLOWED DOWN, GOOD THING I WAS ABLE TO MERGE TO THE SIDE AND STOP MY CAR. RADIATOR- EVER SINCE I HAD MY ETC PROBLEM MY CAR HAS BEEN HEATING UP. *TR
THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BUT TODAY WAS THE WORST. THE CAR HAS LOST POWER SEVERAL TIMES IN THE RAIN MOSTLY WHEN MAKING A TURN OR SLOWING DOWN. THIS TIME I WAS DRIVING NO RAIN AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT STARTING FLASHING. I WAS ON THE HIGH WAY AND NOTICED I COULDN'T ACCELERATE. I STARTED TO SLOW DOWN AND MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE IT JUST LOST POWER. THANK GOD I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER BECAUSE THERE WAS A LOT OF TRAFFIC AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT. ALSO MY SON USUALLY DRIVES THIS CAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES TO HIM AND WHEN IT STALLS YOU LOOSE ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. IT IS REALLY DANGEROUS. WE HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THEY CANT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO ACCORDING TO THEM THERE IS NO PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN READING OTHERS COMPLAINTS AND THEY ALL SEEM TO BE THE SAME ISSUE. ALSO THE AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. IS THERE ANY RESOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE. IT SEEMS THAT PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE ISSUES GET RESOLVED .I HOPE DODGE WILL ISSUE A RECALL BEFORE THAT HAPPENS. *TR
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN FEB 2008, AND OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR, BATTERY, TENSION PULLER AND VARIOUS OTHER PARTS. TODAY 10/07/14 MY CAR ENGINE STALLED AS I WAS TURNING TO DROP MY SON OFF AT DAYCARE AND ALMOST CREATED WHAT COULD OF BEEN A DEADLY CRASH. I'VE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHO SOLD ME THE CAR, WHO WIRED ME TO THE DODGE MANUFACTURERS, WHO THEN DIRECTED ME TO THE CHRYSLER COMPANY WHO THEN TOLD ME ABOUT THE HIGHWAY SAFETY DEPARTMENT. I'VE SEEN ON VARIOUS WEBSITES WITH SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME EXACT ISSUES I'VE HAD WITH THIS VEHICLE. WHY MUST THE RECALL OCCUR AFTER THE DEATH OF SOMEBODY AND NOT NOW. I COULD HAVE DIED TODAY AND FOUND NO RESOLUTION. I NOW LONGER FEEL THAT MY CAR IS SAFE NOR DO I WANT IT ANYMORE. BUT ALSO FEEL THAT I DON'T WANT TO TRADE IT IN AND HAVE SOMEBODY ELSE DIE BECAUSE OF THESE MALFUNCTIONS. I KNOW NOONE WILL WRITE BACK OR RESPOND BUT SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HORN ACTIVATED WITHOUT BEING DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUSE BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED ATTEMPTING ADJUST THE SEAT TRACK, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ON. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DIRECTLY RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 07V240000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,000.
I HAVE HAD MY BATTERY REPLACED (DID NOT HELP MY ISSUES). NEXT I SPENT A COUPLE HUNDRED TO HAVE MY "ELECTRICAL GROUND " REPAIRED (ALSO STILL HAD THE SAME ISSUES). MY ORIGINAL ISSUES (THAT HAVE NOT YET BEEN FIXED): CAR STALLING, CAR UNABLE TO START, ALL LIGHTS ON CAR FLICKERING. NOW MY REAR LIGHTS ARE NOT WORKING (THEREFORE I AM UNABLE TO DRIVE THIS DODGE AVENGER SINCE IT IS AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD WHEN REAR LIGHTS/BLINKERS DO NOT WORK). . THE DEALER SAYS IT IS THE TIPM THAT HAS CAUSED ALL REAR LIGHTS TO NOT FUNCTION ANYMORE AS WELL AS THE ORIGINAL ISSUES I HAD. THIS IS A $1,000 REPAIR THAT I RECENTLY LEARN THOUSANDS OF CHRYSLER/DODGE VEHICLES HAD SAME ISSUE WITH. THIS DOES NOT SEEM FAIR THAT THE CONSUMER SHOULD PAY THE EXPENSE, WHEN CLEARLY THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL ITEM. DUE TO THIS BEING A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM AMONGST DODGE VEHICLES,. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED MY CAR AS A ROAD SAFETY HAZARD DUE TO NO BRAKE LIGHTS/TURN SIGNALS . *TR
THE DODGE CHARGER HAD A RECALL WHERE THE KEY WOULD HANG WHEN CRANKING THE CAR.. MY DODGE AVENGER HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS CAR HAS HAD PROBLEMS ON AND OFF. THE RPMS INCREASED WHILE DRIVING. THEY EVEN INCREASED WHEN THE BRAKES ARE BEING APPLIED. THE CAUSES A MAJOR PROBLEM ESPECIALLY IF TRYING TO DRIVE IN INCLEMENT WEATHER. I TOOK CAR TO GARAGE AND WAS TOLD THERE IS A BULLETIN ON THIS SPECIFIC PROBLEM AND IT SHOULD BE COVERED BY A RECALL. I CONTACTED DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID "NO RECALL" ON THIS. AFTER RESEARCHING THE INTERNET I SEE THE 2008 DODGE AVENGER HAS A TERRIBLE REPUTATION. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER DODGE!!!! *TR
THE ETC(ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL) LIGHT CAME ON AND ESSENTIALLY PUT THE CAR INTO LIMP MODE AND ALMOST CAUSED MY WIFE TO END UP IN AN ACCIDENT DRIVING AT ROUGHLY 75MPH IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND THEY REPLACED A VALVE AND SAID THE CODES WERE READING THAT IT HAD RESTRICTED AIR FLOW. THE PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN RESULTING A POTENTIAL ACCIDENT ON THE INTERSTATE. THROUGH RESEARCH, I HAVE COME TO FIND OUT ITS THE THROTTLE BODY AND DODGE'S INABILITY TO PUT QUALITY INTO THEIR PARTS. EXAMPLE BEING THE PLASTIC GEARS WITHIN THE ETC UNIT OF THE THROTTLE BODY. I UNDERSTAND THAT PROBLEMS OCCUR AND PARTS BREAK BUT WITH THE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS THAT I HAVE SEEN ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE, DODGE NEEDS TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING THIS KIND OF LOW QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP WITHIN THEIR VEHICLES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER ACCELERATION AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE OVER 30 MPH. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT AN UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART AND OPERATED AS NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE THE HESITATED AND IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TURNING THE IGNITION SWITCH BEFORE THE VEHICLE STARTED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SPORADICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
I'VE OWNED THE CAR SINCE IT WAS NEW. A COUPLE OF TIMES THIS PAST SUMMER WHEN FILLING THE FUEL TANK, THE FUEL OVERFLOWED BEFORE THE GAS NOZZLE AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A FAULTY GAS NOZZLE. RECENTLY IT HAS BEEN OVERFLOWING EVERY TIME I FILL UP, REGARDLESS OF WHICH GAS STATION OR PUMP. THE PAST 5-6 TIMES IT HAS OVERFLOWED. IT IS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FUEL THAT COMES BACK, AND IT DOESN'T JUST TRICKLE OUT. IF YOU ARE NOT STANDING OFF TO THE SIDE IT WILL SPRAY YOU. THEN IT RUNS DOWN THE SIDE OF THE CAR AND THE LEFT REAR WHEEL. I AM CAREFUL TO STOP THE PUMP BEFORE IT GETS FULL, BUT EVEN THEN IT SOMETIMES OVERFLOWS. I WOULD ESTIMATE THE AVERAGE AMOUNT OF FUEL SPILLAGE TO BE AROUND 12 OUNCES. *TR
I HAD MY ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL REPLACED IN THE WINTER OF 2013. AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR LOST ALL POWER AND WOULD NOT TURN BACK ON. AFTER SEEING THE MANY COMPLAINTS HERE I WAS SURE CHRYSLER WOULD COVER IT, BUT THEY DID NOT. THEY, IN FACT, TOLD ME THAT THEY EXPLICITLY WERE NOT COVERING ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS ON THIS PART! TODAY, I LEARNED THAT NOW I AM HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AGAIN. MY RIGHT TURN SIGNAL AND BRAKE LIGHT WORK WHENEVER THEY WANT, NO RHYME OR REASON. MY CRUISE CONTROL ALSO WORKS WHENEVER IT WANTS AND THE AUTO TECHNICIANS CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHY BECAUSE THERE IS NOT WARNING LIGHT COMING ON MY DASH. I LEARNED ABOUT A POSSIBLE RECALL RELATED TO THE TPMS CONNECTORS AND HOW THEY CORRODE THEN CAUSE ELECTRICAL ISSUES, BUT MY VEHICLE DOESN'T QUALIFY. I CALLED CHRYSLER AGAIN TODAY AND THEY WERE VERY RUDE. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION ON HOW TO ESCALATE MY PROBLEMS. I TOLD HIM THAT WAS ODD AND HE SAID TO ME "IS IT REALLY ODD? IF YOU WERE THE CORPORATION WOULD YOU GIVE IT OUT?" I'LL NEVER BUY A CHRYSLER PRODUCT AGAIN. FIX THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT ARE ALL LISTED HERE AND SAVE YOUR CUSTOMERS! *TR

THE SHIFT CONTROL CABLE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
I TOOK IN MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP DODGE/CHRYSLER JEEP AUTO CENTER IN AUGUST 2014 TO A/C RECHARGE THEN I DROVE OUT IT START HUMMING CALLED DEALERSHIP THEY SAID TO DRIVE IT FOR AWHILE TO SEE IF IT GOES AWAY IT DID THEN IT STARTED AGAIN AN NOW THEY SAY IT'S THE ALTERNATOR; IMPOSSIBLE BUT YES ALTERNATOR SO WHEN I HAD IN TO RECHARGE THE AIR CONDITIONER AN DROVE IT THE HUMMING WAS COMING FROM MY ALTERNATOR UNBELIEVABLE MY CAR ONLY HAS 59,000 MILES ON IT. NOW IF I DON'T REPLACE IT MY CAR COULD STALL WHERE EVER IM DRIVING FREEWAY OR CITY STREETS. THE PRICE IS 482.00 AT DEALERSHIP OR 570.00 AT A AUTO SHOP. I'VE CALLED CORPORATES OF DODGE/CHRYSLER AN FILED A COMPLAINT. *TR
I STARTED MY CAR ON SUNDAY AUGUST 3, 2014 AND THE ENGINE WOULDN'T TURN OVER, AFTER WAITING A MINUTE THE CAR STARTED. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WOULD NOT GO FASTER THAN 20 MPH EVEN WITH MY FOOT COMPLETELY ON THE PETAL. I TOOK MY CAR TO OREILLY AUTO PARTS AND HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT READ. I HAD ALL NEW SPARK PLUGS (BASED OFF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT READING) PUT IN THE VEHICLE AND I'M STILL NOT ABLE TO DRIVE OVER 20 MPH. MY CAR IS NOW CUTTING OFF AT THE LIGHT AND NOT THE HIGHEST SPEED IS 20 MPH. I KEEP GETTING A LIGHTING BOLT MESSAGE AND CHECK ENGINE MESSAGE EVEN THOUGH ALL THE CODES HAVE BEEN CLEARED. *TR
I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE ELECTRONICS IN THE FRONT TWO WINDOWS. THE PASSENGER SIDE QUIT WORKING ON THE DRIVERS SIDE CONTROL THEN THE PASSENGER SIDE SWITCH. APPROX. TWO WEEKS LATER THE DRIVER WINDOW WON'T GO DOWN BUT WILL GO UP. ONE OF THE ENGINE PORTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IS STUCK OPEN AND I HAVE TRIED USING SEA FOAM. BOTH FRONT STRUTS WENT OUT AT THE SAME TIME A MONTH AGO. REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR THREE WEEKS AFTER BUYING THE CAR THAT WAS THREE YEAR'S AGO. IT SEEMS TO BE ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER HAS TO GET FIXED ON THIS CAR. I HAVE REPAIRED THE A/C UNIT ON IT TWICE THIS SUMMER. NOW THE POWERING STEERING UNIT IS MAKING A NOISE WHEN THE WHEEL IS TURNED. WOULDN'T RECOMMENDED THIS CAR TO ANYONE. NICE LOOKING BUT FALLS APART TO EASY IN A SHORT TIME FRAME. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
MY CAR HORN GOES OFF PERIODICALLY AND STAYS ON WHEN IM DRIVING OR PARKED WITHOUT ME BLOWING IT .ALSO MY SEAT BELT LIGHT COMES ON EVERY TIME I TURN ON THE VEHICLE .WHEN IM DRIVING THE ENGINE OIL LIGHT COMES ON THE WHEEL TIGHTEN UP AND THE VEHICLE SLOWS DOWN AND CUTS COMPLETELY OFF. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING ON BUSY STREETS WHEN THIS HAPPEN AS WELL AS EXPRESS WAYS. ONCE IT CUTS OFF IF I SIT AND A COUPLE MINUTES THE CAR MAY START BACK DRIVING LIKE NOTHING HAPPEN...USUALLY. I SIT FOR 30 MINUTES BEFORE IT START UP..I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MECHANIC AND ITS SOMETHING WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM NO CODES ARE COMING UP WHEN I WENT TO PLACE IT ON A MACHINE..ONE MECHANIC SAID IT MY BE THE IGNITION NOT CONNECTING ..CAN THIS BE INVESTIGATED BECAUSE THIS CAR IS DOING THINGS ON ITS OWN THE HORN WILL GO OFF WHEN IM PARKING DRIVING AND THE FUSE WAS CHECKED. *TR
MY 2008 DODGE AVENGER HAS BEEN INTERMITTENTLY LOSING RPMS WHILE DRIVING FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS. THE BODY SHOP INITALLY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED MY THROTTLE BODY CLEANED AND A NEW BATTERY. I PAID FOR THESE REPAIRS AND THE NEXT DAY MY CAR WAS DOING THE SAME THING. I AM SO AFRAID THAT I WILL BE IN AN ACCIDENT WHEN THE CAR LOSES POWER AND I HAVE TO EITHER CONTINUOUSLY PUMP THE GAS PEDAL OR PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND THEN RESTART THE CAR WHILE IT IS STILL MOVING. I AM ONLY ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD HALF THE TIME AND THE REST OF THE TIME OTHER VEHICLES ARE BEHIND ME GOING AT THE SPEED THAT I WAS GOING PRIOR TO THE CAR LOSING POWER...SIDENOTE THERE IS POWER TO THE CAR ITSELF BECAUSE THE RADIO OR THE AC WILL STILL BE ON BUT THE ENGINE GETS NO GAS. I WOULD REALLY LIKE FOR CHRYSLER/DODGE TO LET US CONSUMERS KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON BECAUSE I SEE THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE OTHER TWO SENSORS FRACTURED AND EXHIBITED SLIGHT CORROSION. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. I HAD PARKED MY CAR, 20 MINUTES LATER I WENT TO START THE CAR AND IT STARTED. AS I SHIFTED THE CAR IN REVERSE, THE CAR IMMEDIATELY DIED AND THE ELECTRIC THROTTLE LIGHT CAME ON. I PUT MY CAR IN PARKED AND STARTED IT AGAIN. AND IT DID IT AGAIN WITH ENGINE LIGHT ALSO. FINALLY, I STARTED THE CAR AND IT CONTINUED TO RUN. I BACKED OUT AND STARTED TO DRIVE. A BLOCK AWAY AT A FOUR WAY STOP SIGN THE CAR COMPLETELY DIED. WAS NOT ABLE TO EVEN USE MY FLASHERS. I CALL A TOW TRUCK AND HAD MY CAR SENT TO A REPAIR SHOP WITH THE SPARE KEY. THE REPAIR SHOP CALLED ME LATER AND STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR AND IT WAS RUNNING FINE BUT MIGHT NEED TO BE LOOKED AT A TRANSMISSION SHOP. MY VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP AND THEY STATED THE SAME THING AND THOUGHT THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN THE KEY THAT I WAS USING. SO FOR TWO DAYS AFTER PICKING UP MY CAR, THE SPARE KEY WAS WORKING AND THE CAR WAS RUNNING. 4TH OF JULY EVENING MY CAR QUIT WORKING IN THE DRIVE THRU AND THE THROTTLE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN, I WAS ABLE TO START IT BUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE CAR DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I WAS NOT ABLE TO USE MY FLASHERS CAUSE THEY DID NOT WORK. I WAS AFRAID THAT SOMEONE MIGHT REAR END MY CAR DUE TO THE VEHICLE WAS DYING AND I HAD MY KIDS IN THE CAR. I WAS GLAD I WAS CLOSE TO HOME BUT THAT IS VERY SCARY AT NIGHT WHEN YOUR LIGHTS COMPLETELY STOP WORKING. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ARE STATING THAT THEY DON'T KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH IT BUT FOR THEM TO CONTINUE TO CHECK IT OUT I HAVE TO PAY $150 AND THEY THINK IT MIGHT BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. I CONTINUE TO RESEARCH ONLINE AND IT SEEMS THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM WITH THE SAME YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL, SO HOW DO THEY NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON OCCURRENCE AS I HAVE HEARD THIS SAME SCENARIO AMONGST MANY DODGE OWNERS. A FEW DAYS AGO, MY 2008 DODGE AVENGER SUDDENLY STOPPED ACCELERATING AS MY FOOT WAS PRESSING THE GAS. IT DROPPED DOWN TO A SPEED OF 45MPH AND WOULD NOT LET ME ACCELERATE ABOVE THIS. THE DASH BOARD ALSO DISPLAYED A RED LIGHTNING BOLT . WHEN I LOOKED IN THE MANUAL IT ADVISED THAT I GET MY VEHICLE SERVICED IMMEDIATELY AND THAT IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, MOST COMMONLY THIS IS DESCRIBED AS THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL. GIVEN THAT MY COMPLAINT RESEMBLES THAT OF MANY OTHERS BOTH ON THIS SIGHT AND ACROSS DODGE FORUMS, I WOULD FEEL IT NECESSARY FOR A RECALL OF THIS PART. *TR

I WAS DRIVING 40 MPH ON A MAIN ROAD WHEN I NOTICED MY AIR BAG LIGHT COME. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF TALKING ABOUT IT WITH A FRIEND AND MY AIR BAG SUDDENLY DEPLOYED IN MY SEAT. NO ACCIDENT OR INJURIES BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE SHOP WHERE IT SAT FOR 4 MONTHS. THEY REPLACED THE AIRBAGS BUT I HAD TO PAY $3000 FOR EVERYTHING ELSE THAT WAS WRONG SO THAT THEY COULD FIX THE AIR BAG. THAT INCLUDED THE DAMAGED CRANKSHAFT, THE TIMING CHAIN, THE SENSORS, THE FUEL SYSTEM THAT RANDOMLY STOPPED WORKING THE DAY I TOOK IT IN. THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO TELL WHEN ALL THIS WAS DAMAGED. I BOUGHT THE CAR AT 53000 MILES AND WAS TOLD IT WAS IN A REAR END MINOR ACCIDENT. BUT NO OTHER ACCIDENT. I GOT MY CAR BACK IN JULY AND IT WAS WORKING JUST FINE FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND NOW ALL THE PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD BEFORE ARE OCCURRING AGAIN. THOSE PROBLEMS ARE THE STALLING AT STOP LIGHTS, THE RPM REVVING ON ITS OWN WHEN I'M IN PARK, AND THE AIR BAG LIGHT AGAIN KEEPS COMING ON WHEN THE PASSENGER SEAT IS MOVED. THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL ON MY 2008 DODGE AVENGER BROKE. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM TO DODGE BUT THEY HAVE A 2 TO 3 WEEK BACK LOG ON THE PART TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
