REPLACED HEATER CORE AND AIR DOOR ACTUATOR 12/13 MONTHS AGO BECAUSE PASSENGER SIDE BLEW ICE COLD AIR DRIVER SIDE HOT AIR. ALSO DEFOGGER/DEFROST DID NOT WORK. NO VISIBILITY THROUGHOUT WINDSHIELD ON PASSENGER SIDE DUE TO ICE BUILD UP. SAME PROBLEM AFTER JUST 12-13 MONTHS. NOW IT INCLUDES A THUMPNG NOISE UNDER THE DASHBOARD WHEN AC IS TURNED ON.
PASSENGER HEADREST EXPLODED WHILE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT NO DAMAGE FROM OTHER VEHICLES OR DAMAGE FROM OUTSIDE
THE HEATER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE DOES NOT WORK NO MATTER HOW LONG I HAVE MY CAR TURNED ON, SO WHEN IT GETS COLD AND MY WINDOW IS FOGGY OR ICES OVER I CAN NOT USE THE DEFROST. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS WHILE IT IS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY AND CONTINUES WHILE I AM DRIVING. WHEN I'M DRIVING AND MY WINDOW GETS FOGGY FROM ME BEING IN IT I HAVE NO WAY OF FIXING CAUSING ME TO SEE THROUGH A FOG. I HAVE HAD THE HEATER CORE REPLACED, AND IT HAS BEEN FLUSHED OUT. THIS ONLY FIXES THE PROBLEM FOR A FEW MONTHS, BUT BY THE TIME IT GETS COLD AGAIN IT HAPPENS ALL OVER.
CANNOT GET THE CAR TO SHIFT INTO GEAR. WHEN IN REVERSE IT WANTED TO GOT FORWARD AND WHEN IT DRIVE STILL GOING FORWARD. I HAD TO CUT THE CAR OFF, TO AVOID CRASHING. NOW IT WILL NOT START NOR WILL MY TRUNK OPEN.
MY SON BOUGHT A 2013 DODGE AVENGER AND WHILE HE WAS DRIVING THE PASSENGER HEADREST EXPLODED! THIS IS DANGEROUS! I AS A PARENT AM AFRAID IT WILL HAPPEN ON THE DRIVER SIDE WHILE MY SON IS DRIVING AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT! I TOOK IT TO DODGE AND THEY ARE TRYING TO SAY IT'S NOT A RECALL YET AND IT WOULD BE 800+ TO FIX! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND I FEEL IS A DANGEROUS MALFUNCTIONING PART THAT NEEDS FIXED ON DODGE OR CHRYSLER'S END!!!!
PASSENGER HEADREST RESTRAINT DEPLOYED SPONTANEOUSLY, WITHOUT ACCIDENT OR CRASH BEING INVOLVED, STRIKING PASSENGER IN HEAD AND NECK RESULTING IN HEAD AND NECK INJURY.. AUTOMOBILE WAS IN MOTION TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH ON A CITY STREET.

HOT AIR FROM DRIVERSSS SIDE AND COLD AIR IN PASSENGERS SIDE. HOT AIR SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM THE FLOOR AT MY FEET. I JUST STARTED MY CAR FOR FIRST TIME IN DAY AND THIS WAS HAPPENING.
I WAS REVERSING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE AT THE GROCERY STORE, ONCE REVERSED AND PUT CAR IN DRIVE THE CAR CONTINUIED TO GO REVERSE SO I PUT IN PARK AND THEN ENGINE SHUT OFF AND CAR WAS STILL IN REVERSE ON DASH BOARD , I WAS STUCKM IN THE MIDDLE OF PARKING LOT CAR WOULD NOT TURN OIN OR GO IN NEUTRAL.

THE CONTACT ALSO TOOK THE VEHICLE TO OTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WHERE THEY ALSO INFORMED HIM THAT THE ISSUE WAS THE THROTTLE BODY. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE WHERE THEY REFERRED HIM TO THE NHTSA. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 127,000. *AS

THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LEITH CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (5310 ROLESVILLE RD, WENDELL, NC 27591), AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PIN FRACTURED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PART WAS ORDERED FOR THE REPLACEMENT DUE TO A DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 91,000.
THE TEMPERATURE ACTUATOR BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES BECAUSE OF CLICKING AND NOT CONTROLLING AIR TEMPERATURE. WE JUST REPLACED IT AGAIN AND I HAVE HOT AIR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND MIDDLE VENT AND COLD AIR ON THE OTHER MIDDLE VENT AND PASSENGERS SIDE (VERY UNCOMFORTABLE FOR THE DRIVER). SAFETY CONCERN WHEN DEFROST IS NEEDED. PASSENGER SIDE DEFROSTS BUT DRIVERS SIDE GETS WORSE AND CAUSES A HAZARD FOR DRIVING. I AM A COLLEGE STUDENT WHO COMMUTES TO SCHOOL EVERY MORNING AND THIS HAS CREATED CLOSE CALLS FOR ACCIDENTS BECAUSE I AM HAVING TO LEAN OVER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE TO SEE. WE HAVE TRIED TO FIND MORE INFORMATION ONLINE AND MANY OTHER CARS OF THIS MODEL ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM IT SEEMS TO BE A MANUFACTURING FLAW. THE VEHICLE WAS SLOWING DOWN WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. ETC, ESC, AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS WENT ON. THE DOME LIGHT IN THE CAR WAS FLICKERING AND THE LIGHTS IN THE DASHBOARD WENT DARK AND THE SPEEDOMETER WAS NOT VISIBLE. THIS HAPPENED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 55 MPH THEN SUDDENLY MY CAR STALLED. MY CAR SHUT COMPLETELY OFF. I SAW THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS BUT IT WAS FOR THE SMALLER ENGINE WHICH DOES NOT INCLUDE MY ENGINE. I JUST TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER AND HE SAID THEIR WAS AN OIL PRESSURE PROBLEM WHICH CAUSED THE OIL HOUSING TO LEAK.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V640000 (SEATS, AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
WHILE DRIVING HEADREST DEPLOYED FOUND OTHER INCIDENTS ON YOUTUBE LIKE THIS. THERE IS A LAWSUIT AGAINST DODGE/CHRYSLER ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THERE NEEDS TOO BE A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE IMMEDIATELY!! I WOULD RATHER HAVE A REGULAR HEADREST THAT DOESN'T DEPLOY.PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL!
OIL IS POOLING UNDER THE OIL FILTER/OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY. I UNDERSTAND FROM OTHER OWNERS ONLINE (YOUTUBE, AVENGER FORUM) THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. FOR OIL TO LEAK FROM THE COOLER WHOSE SEALS MAY BE BAD. ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE WHAT SOUNDS LIKE A ROCKER ARM (AT LEAST ONE) THAT IS WORN, PROBABLY FROM THE LACK OF SUFFICIENT OIL DUE TO THIS LEAK. I DISCOVERED THE POOLING WITH THE CAR PARKED, ENGINE IDLING, AND TRYING TO FIND THE CLACKING/TACKING/TIPPING NOISE WHICH FEELS (VIBRATIONS) LIKE IT MIGHT BE IN THE LEFT BANK OF THE V6 ENGINE. BOTH PROBLEMS REPORTED AS TYPICAL ONLINE AS NOTED FOR THE PENTASTAR 3.6L V6 WHICH I HAVE. TAPPING HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE MARCH 2020 AT LEAST. I DID A SECOND OIL CHANGE (PREVIOUS IN FEBRUARY) TO DETERMINE IF THAT WOULD HELP. NO.
ON 3/9/2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 4:30 PM WHILE DRIVING SOUTH ON INTERSTATE 55 JUST SOUTH OF SOUTHAVEN MISSISSIPPI WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED SPRINGING THE HEAD REST FORWARD WITH CONSIDERABLE FORCE. MY WIFE WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AT THE TIME AND WAS STRUCK BY THE HEADREST IN THE HEAD AND COMPLAINED THAT IT HIT HER HEAD SO HARD THAT IT HURT. WE WERE NOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AT THE TIME AND WERE TRAVELING AT THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT. I HAD NOT HAD TO BREAK HARD OR ANYTHING. THE HEADREST JUST CAME APART. AFTER SOME RESEARCH I SEE THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE A SAFETY FEATURE THAT WOULD OCCUR IN AN ACCIDENT. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT. AFTER ARRIVING HOME I NOTICED A METAL PIN IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT REST AND BROKE PLASTIC IN THE LOCATION WHERE THE PIN SHOULD BE LOCATED. NOW I AM CONCERNED THAT THE DRIVERS SEAT MAY DO THE SAME THING AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.I ALSO NOW HAVE THE ISSUE OF A COSTLY REPAIR FOR A DEFECTIVE DESIGN FLAW.
IN JANUARY 2020 MY 2013 DODGE AVENGER BEGAN TO HAVE ISSUES THAT RESULTED IN IT STRANDING ME AT VARIOUS TIMES, I HAD THE CAR TOWED AND ASSESSES IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE BATTERY WAS BAD WAS THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED ( LAST REPLACED 2 YEARS PRIOR) THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO ME AND ALMOST 1 WEEK LATER I WAS AGAIN STRANDED WITH A CAR THAT WOULD NOT START AND SO I HAD IT TOWED AND ASSESSED AND THIS TIME IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR , I HAD IT REPAIRED AND RETURNED TO ME THE VEHICLE SEEMED FINE FOR 2 WEEKS WHEN SUDDENLY THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING OR WOULD WORK INTERMITTENLY, THE AC OR HEATER WOULD WORK INTERMITTENLY, THE CAR HORN AND ALARM STOPPED WORKING AND WOULD GO OFF RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL IF THE HEATER WAS ON WHILE DRIVING AND THE ALARM WOULD GO OFF IF IT STALLED, FINALLY I CALLED DODGE AND THEY TOLD ME TO BRING IT IN, THEY WOULD FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT I TOLD THEM FROM WHAT I HAD READ IT SEEMD THE ISSUE WAS THE TIPM, 3 DAYS LATER I GET A CALL THAT IT IS THE TIPM AND THAT THEY WILL ALSO NEED TO REMOVE THE ALARM AND THAT THE REPAIR WOULD COST OVER 1900.00 AND WHEN THE CAR IS BACK IT WILL NO LONGER HAVE AN ALARM THOUGH I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE WITH AN ALARM ON THE SHOW FLOOR IT WOULD BE ADDITIONAL COST TO HAVE A NEW ALARM INSTALLED. I HAVE READ THAT THIS ISSUE IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND THAT IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND DODGE CONTINUES TO IGNORE HOW DANGEROUS THIS IS. THE TIMES THE VEHICLE STALLED I WAS DRIVING, AND COULD HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT HAD I NOT REACTED QUICKLY AND RECOGNIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR APPROXIMATELY AROUND 15MPH ON A SMOOTH ROAD I HEARD A DISRUPTIVE NOISE AND SAW THAT MY PASSENGER HAD BEEN HIT BY THE ACTIVE HEAD REST WHICH WAS DEPLOYED ALTHOUGH WE WERE NOT IN AN ACCIDENT. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION I NOTICED THE CHEAP PLASTIC THAT HOLDS THE PIN IN PLACE INSIDE THE HEAD REST HAD BEEN BROKEN WHICH CAUSED THE ACTIVE HEADREST TO UNEXPECTEDLY DEPLOY.
FUEL PUMP IS GOING OUT AND I SEEN IN 2012 THERE WAS A RECALL WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM
SEATBELT ON DRIVERS SIDE LOCKS ALL THE WAY IN AND DOES NOT RELEASE. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE CAR IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION (NO BREAKING INVOLVED, DRIVING 25 MPH). HAVE GOT THE SEATBELT TO RELEASE A FEW TIMES AND IMMEDIATELY LOCKS AGAIN. IS CURRENTLY LOCKED ALL THE WAY IN PREVENTING THE SEATBELT FROM BEING WORN.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000
BAD HEATER CORE ON MY AVENGER. DOES NOT HAVE A LOT OF MILES ON IT. WAS NOT ABLE TO DEFROST PASSENGER SIDE OF WINDSHIELD, HAD NO HEAT AT ALL ON PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR.
THE ISSUE OCCURS MOSTLY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, BUT OCCASIONALLY WHEN IT IS SITTING STILL AND IDLING. WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR ENGINE WILL SUDDENLY STALL. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS TURN ON. NO CODES ARE FOUND WHEN SCANNING THE OBD2. THERE ARE NO RECORDED MISS FIRES FOR ANY OF THE CYLINDERS EITHER. THIS IS AN ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION SPECIFICALLY WHEN DRIVING FULL SPEED ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS OR ROADS. WHEN THE ENGINE STALLS, POWER STEERING CUTS OUT AND I HAVE TO MUSCLE THE CAR OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND START IT UP AGAIN. THE ENGINE HAS STALLED WHILE GOING IN REVERSE, DRIVING FORWARD, AND SITTING IDLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER A DOZEN TIMES NOW.
FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS MY HORN GOES OFF ON ITS OWN. SOMETIMES IT GOES OFF WHEN I LOCK MY CAR, OTHER TIMES IT DOES NOT. IT WILL SOMETIMES CLICK, AND OTHER TIMES IT WILL BLARE FOR 5 SECONDS. IT IS VERY STARTLING ESPECIALLY WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC OR SITTING AT A STOPLIGHT. ONCE I WAS DRIVING IN THE RAIN, AND IT WENT OFF FOR ABOUT 8 SECONDS AND AT THE SAME TIME MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS STARTED TO STALL AND NOT WORK PROPERLY. THE HORN DOES NOT WORK WHEN I PUSH ON IT LIKE IT SHOULD. IT IS VERY CONCERNING SINCE IT CAN CAUSE SAFETY ISSUES.
2013 DODGE AVENGER HAS RANDOMLY STARTED HONKING THE HORN WHILE STOPPED AND IN MOTION. THE HONKING LASTS ANYWHERE FROM A QUICK HONK TO SOUNDING LIKE I AM LAYING ON THE HORN FOR MINUTES GOING DOWN THE FREEWAY. I HAVE TRIED PULLING OVER AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE WHICH DID NOT HELP OR STOP THE HORN. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.
STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT COMING ON WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN PARKED. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. NEEDED TO REPLACE THE BRAKE SWITCH. AIRBAG LIGHT ON. DIAGNOSTIC SHOWS THERE IS A SHORT IN AIRBAG WIRING AND THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IF NEEDED. THIS LIGHT COMES ON AFTER STARTING CAR AND STAYS ON CONSTANTLY.
THE PASSENGER SIDE HEAT BLOWS COLD AIR,THEREFORE WHEN TRYING TO DEFROST MY WINDSHIELD MY WINDSHIELD FROSTED BACK UP AFTER BEING SCRAPED OF ICE AND BEGAN TO SPREAD TO THE DRIVERS SIDE WHICH MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE WHERE I WAS GOING AND COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT.

THE CONTACT STATED DUE TO FAILURE HE WAS UNABLE TO DEFROST HIS WINDOWS DURING COLD WEATHER AND UNABLE TO SEE CLEARLY WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEATER CORE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 12/19/2019 FOR TWO RECALLS ON MY CAR. THE REPAIR WAS STATED THAT IT WOULD TAKE 2-3 HOURS BUT TOOK 5 HOURS. HELLO I GUESS MY CAR HAS A RECALL I DIDNT NO I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP GOT SOME PARTS MY IN THERE SYSTEM I WORK OUT OF TOWN I TRAVEL ALOT DROVE THE OUT OF STATE I GOT IN A ACCIDENT POLICE CAME WROTE A REPORT SAID IT WAS MY FAULT IN THE IMPACT THE AIRBAGS NEVER OPEN AND THE SEAT BET BECAME LOSS IT TAKES LONGER TO RETURN IN ITS ROLLED UP POSITION I THOUGHT MAYBE THE AIRBAGS DIDNT OPEN CAUSE THE IMPACT WASNT HARD ENOUGH WILL I JUST LEFT IT LIKE THAT I ENDED UP FIXING THE CAR ON MY OWN DIDNT WONT MORE PROBLEMS WITH THE INSURANCE DIDNT MAKE IT A BIGGER DEAL AROUND CHRISTMAS TIME ALL THIS CORONAVIRUS HAPPENS THIS WAS IN TEXAS MY JOB ENDED I CAME BACK HOME TO NEVADA TIME PASSED WENT TO THE DEALER TO GET MORE PARTS NOTHING A FEW DAYS LATER YESTERDAY I GET A TEXT FROM THE DEALER MY CAR HAS A RECALL THEY WON'T TO FIX IT AND CHRYSLER IS GOING TO PAY FOR MY RENTAL CAUSE THEY NEED THE CAR A FEW DAYS I COULD HAVE BEEN HURT REAL BAD I FIX THE CAR ON MY OWN CAUSE I DIDNT NEED MORE PROBLEMS MY BACK STILL HURTS FROM TIME TO TIME I JUST THOUGHT I SHARE THIS EXPERIENCE THANK U

HEATER/DEFROSTER BLOWING COLD AIR OUT PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE. PROBLEM WITH DEFROSTER/VISABILITY. HEATER CORE REPLACED IN JAN 2018. THERMOSTAT REPLACED IN 2019. NOW TWO YEARS LATER SAME ISSUE IS HAPPENING AGAIN.
WHILE DRIVING AT HWY. SPEED VEHICLE SURGED BUT NO WARNING LIGHTS, ETC. NEXT TIME STARTED, WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON INDICATING A P2173 CODE.CAR WAS JUST AT DODGE DEALER FOR RECALLS. CAR WILL IDLE FINE FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES THEN START SURGING, IDLING ROUGH WITH NO POWER AND SET WARNING LIGHTS, MIL, ETC, ESC. THESE WILL GO OFF WHEN VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF EXCEPT FOR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. WE HAVE REPLACED THROTTLE BODY WITH NO CHANGE. CLEARED CODE AND CAME BACK AND DID THE SAME. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT DODGE HAS NOT ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE. IT IS NOT SAFE.
THE DRIVER SIDE BLOWS HOT AIR WHEN HEATER IS ON, BUT PASSENGER REMAINS COLD. CANNOT GET PASSENGER SIDE TO DEFROST / DEFOG BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM AND HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE DAY IT WAS BOUGHT. EVEN WHEN I WAS IN WARRANTY (BUMPER TO BUMPER) I STILL WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER STATIONARY / IDLE OR DRIVING.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30-35 MPH ON A CITY STREET THE FRONT PASSENGER HEAD REST AIRBAG HAD WENT OFF WITH PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT INVOLVED TO CAUSE THE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY.
I BOUGHT THE V6 DODGE AVENGER BECAUSE STICKER ON CAR SHOWED COST OF OWNERSHIP COSTS, THIS WAS HIGHLY INACCURATE. I FLUSHED THE TRANSMISSION THEN 3 MONTHS LATER IM LEFT ON THE SHOULDER IF THE ROAD. I KNOW IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION PUMP ON MY 62TE. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME MY WARRANTY JUST EXPIRED AND I NEEDED A WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION. THE CAR HAS 75000 MILES HOW COULD THIS BE. THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO BUDGE ON PRICE AND REPLACED TRANSMISSION. I HAD THE CAR FOR 12 HOURS THEN IT BLEW AGAIN, I THINK SOMEBODY HAS TO WATCH OUT I JUST SAW THE RACALL AFFECTED FOR 2016 AND UP TRANS BUT THE OLD ONES R THE SAME CHEAP TRANSMISSIONS TO SAVE EM A BUCK AND MAKE SURE WARRANTIES ALWAYS EXPORE BEFORE THE SHT BREAKS

THIS SAFETY ISSUE EFFECTS VISIBILITY AND PASSENGER SAFETY BY FAILING TO DEFROST/DEFOG WINDOWS AND KEEPING CABIN TEMPURATURES NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING DURING COLD WEATHER (BLOWING COLD AIR INTO THE CABIN).

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
