TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVER AIR BAGS SUDDENLY DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR AN IMPACT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MACK GRUBBS MOTORS (LOCATED AT 1480 HIGHWAY 98 E, COLUMBIA, MS 39429, 601-376-9938). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,830.
JUST LEAVING A PARKING LOT GOING MAYBE 15 MPH AT THE MOST AND THE DRIVER HEAD REST POPPED OUT AND A SPRING WENT FLYING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT HIT OR DID NOT MAKE ANY IMPACT WITH ANYTHING, NOT EVEN A SPEED BUMP. THE HEAD RESTS ARE EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE NOW AND IT WAS TERRIFYING GETTING HIT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH MY 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE BACK SEAT. LOCAL DEALERSHIP ADVISED THIS IS NOT UNDER A RECALL SO IT WOULD BE SOMETHING WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR. ESTIMATE WAS CLOSE TO $3,000. THAT IS ABSURD WHEN IT IS A DEFECT AND NOT SOMETHING THAT I CAUSED.
MY PASSENGER SIDE HEAT QUIT WORKING SO I NO LONGER HAVE DEFROST DURING THE WINTER MONTHS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY VEHICLE AND WILL HAVE TO PULL OVER TO SCRAPE THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF MY VEHICLE OR ROLL DOWN A WINDOW TO KEEP IT FROM FOGGING UP AND RANDOMLY STARTED A COUPLE YEARS AGO
ON THE EVENING OF 10/05/2019, WHILE TRAVELING STRAIGHT AT A STEADY 25-30 MPH, THE PASSENGER HEADREST FELT LIKE IT EXPLODED. THE PASSENGER'S HEAD WAS SUDDENLY AND VIOLENTLY PUSHED FORWARD. IT APPEARS FROM INTERNET RESEARCH THAT THIS IS A FAILURE OF THE "ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT" SYSTEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO HEAT IN THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SIDES OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,320.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. VEHICLE STALLED HAD TO PULL OVER THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THROTTLE BODY CONTROL THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH , ALL WARNING INDICATORS STARTED TO FLASH, THEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAITED FEW MINUTES. VEHICLE STARTED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER PEPPERS AUTOMOTIVE GROUP INC, 2420 E WOOD ST, PARIS, TN 38242, THEY DETERMINED THE THROTTLE BODY CONTROL HAD TO BE REPLACED. VEHICLE NOT REPAIRED. MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
CURRENTLY HAVING AN ISSUE WITH HEAT NOT WORKING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY 2013 DODGE AVENGER. COLD AIR BLOWS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND ONLY HEAT IS BLOWING ON DRIVER SIDE WHICH IMPACTS DEFROSTING ON MY VEHICLE. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING BECAUSE I CANNOT SEE AT TIMES AND ALSO WINTER IS COMING AND I NEED T KEEP MY CHILD AND I WARM. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN REPORTED SEVERAL TIMES BY DODGE AVENGER OWNERS. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE FOR DODGE TO RECALL THIS ISSUE AND FIX IT??? IALSO PAID $1500 TO HAVE MY TIPM FIXED IN THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE HORN WAS HONKING AT ALL TIMES OF THE DAY AND NIGHT AND WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT.
THE HEAD GASKET FAILED AND WAS REPLACED DESPITE PROTESTATIONS FROM THE DEALERSHIP. I LEARNED THE HEAD GASKET HAD A DESIGN FLAW CAUSING IT TO FAIL PREMATURELY. CATALYTIC CONVERTER RECALLED, DEALERSHIP ADVISED IT WAS UNKNOWN WHEN IT WOULD REPAIRED. RECALL ADVISED DELAY COULD DAMAGE ENGINE. FINALLY REPAIRED AFTER COMPLAINT TO DEALERSHIP GM. VEHICLE IS MAKING NOISES AND LOSING POWER SUDDENLY, THEN SUDDEN INCREASE OF RPM WHILE DRIVING. SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER COULD CAUSE CRASH IN TRAFFIC, SAME WITH SUDDEN RPM INCREASE. FAN WIRING HARNESS RECALLED, DEALERSHIP ADVISED OF FAILURE TO FAN WHEN TAKEN IN FOR HEADGASKET, NOTHING DONE. MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS MADE WITH DODGE HQ.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATING HVAC SYSTEM WAS INOPERABLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW WOULD NOT DEFROST WHEN THE HEATER WAS ACTIVATED. THE CONTACT WAS AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE HVAC SYSTEM FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.

WHILE THE HEATER WAS ACTIVATED, THE PASSENGER SIDE VENT DISTRIBUTED COLD AIR WHILE THE DRIVER'S SIDE VENT DISTRIBUTED HOT AIR AND FAILED TO DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED BALD HILL DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (1035 BALD HILL RD, WARWICK, RI 02886, (844) 847-4671) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEATER CORE WAS CLOGGED UP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
WHEN HEAT IS ON, THE PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS COLD (I LIVE IN WI SO, WHEN I SAY COLD, I MEAN COLD) AIR FROM EVERY BLOWING PORT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE... OCCURS AT ALL TIMES, WHETHER STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. HAVE TRIED A FEW THINGS RECCOMENDED ON MULTIPLE OTHER PAGES BY PEOPLE WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. NO HELP. THE DRIVER SIDE VENTS DO BLOW WARM AIR BUT, NOT CLOSE TO AS HOT AS IT SHOULD BE. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE RIGHT AROUND 118,000 MILES. I START MY CAR 20 MINUTES BEFORE I LEAVE MY HOUSE AT 5AM TO BRING MY YOUNG CHILDREN TO DAYCARE AND BE TO WORK BY 6. WHEN GETTING IN AFTER BEING STARTED FOR 20 MIN... BARELY ANY DIFFERENCE IN TEMP WHICH, IS FRUSTRATING WHEN YOU DRIVE WITH YOUR BABIES 35 MINUTES IN THE COLD COLD COLD ALONG WITH SEVERAL DEER AND A WINDSHIELD THAT WON'T DEFROST COMPLETELY. HAVE PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM DEALER AND, SOMEHOW (WHAT A SHOCK) THERE IS NO HELP FOR ME AS 'THE ISSUES BEING DESCRIBED SOUND LIKE IT WAS BROUGHT ON BY YOU, THE VEHICLE OWNER OR, ENVIORMENT FACTORS'... IT HURTS KNOWING YOU ARE A LOYAL AND HONEST HUMAN WHO WORKS HARD EVERY DAY TO BARELY MAKE ENDS MEET AND THEN... TO HAVE YOUR CHARACTER SLANDERED BY THE (SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS EXTRA) LIFETIME WARRANTY THAT THE SALESMAN SO CONFIDENTLY SWORE BY ON THE DAY OF PURCHASE. OWNER MISUSE? THERE ARE HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUES WHO OWN THE EXACT SAME CAR... SORRY BUT, SAFE TO SAY THAT ISN'T COINCIDENTAL. I HAVE CHILDREN AND GROCERIES AND GAS TO GET TO WORK AND SCHOOL AND LIFE... IT MAY SOUND RIDICULOUS TO SOME BUT, THE $900-$1600 THEY ARE SAYING IT WOULD COST... DOESN'T COME EASILY FOR JUST EVERYONE. I'M JUST HOPING THAT SOME PEOPLE WILL CHOOSE TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND, STAND BEHIND THE VERY WORDS THAT LEAD THEM TO WHERE THEY ARE CURRENTLY IN LIFE. FAITH IN THESE HUMANS WILL HOPEFULLY BRING APPROPRIATE SOLUTIONS.
FOR REFERENCE, THIS IS THE COMPLAINT I FILED: "WINDOW DEFROST AND PASSENGER HEAT /AIR. WHILE EITHER IN MOTION OR WHILE DRIVING, NO HEATED AIR EXITS THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER, NOR THE PASSENGER WINDOW DEFROST, LOWER AND CENTER CONSOLE VENTS. HEATED AIR ONLY EXITS THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD AND DRIVER'S SIDE DASH VENTS. PROBLEM PERSISTS THROUGH ALL CABIN AIR MODES, AND CIRCULATIONS. THIS SAFETY ISSUE EFFECTS VISIBILITY AND PASSENGER SAFETY BY FAILING TO DEFROST/DEFOG WINDOWS AND KEEPING CABIN TEMPURATURES NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING DURING COLD WEATHER (BLOWING COLD AIR INTO THE CABIN)."
WINDOW GOES DOWN BUT WILL NOTCOME BACK UP. MOTOR IS EITHER BLOWN , REGULATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED OR SWITCHS GONE BAD. I FIXED THIS BEFORE AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. SHOULD NOT HAVE TO REPLACE AGAIN. AUGUST 27, 2019 AT 1:00AM
WHILE DRIVING IN CITY TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE CUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY SO I REPLACED IT. THE VEHICLE TURNED ON AND DROVE HALF A BLOCK AND IT CUT OFF AGAIN THERE IS A KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE NOW AND I HAVE THE VEHICLE PARKED.
CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE. ETS LIGHTS COME ON. CAR WAS IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD ABNORMAL CLICKING SOUND AND THEN DECELERATED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE WILL THROTTLE DOWN OR CUT THE ACCELERATION OFF MAKING IT DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE TO PULL OVER REPEATEDLY TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTART IT TO MAKE IT TO A SAFE PLACE TO LOOK AT THE ENGINE.
THE HORN ON MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO BEEPS WHILE DRIVING, THE RADIO NO LONGER TURNS ON AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT ANY WARNING ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENTS. I WAS TOLD THE POWER MODULE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS REGARDING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS MAKE/MODEL VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SPONTANEOUSLY CAUGHT FIRE UNDER THE HOOD AND THE FIRE SPREAD TO TWO HOUSES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT DISTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENT. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED HOWEVER NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE PASSENGER SIDE HEAD RESTRAINT POPPED OPENED AND STRUCK THE OCCUPANT IN THE HEAD WITHOUT WARNING. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINAT OR INJURIES. THE CONTACT CALLED LOUISVILLE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (5311 DIXIE HWY, LOUISVILLE, KY 40216, (502) 410-2413), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 200,000.
THE HEADRESTS IN MY DODGE AVENGER HAVE POPPED FORWARD SEVERAL TIMES. SOMETIMES THEY WOULD POP FORWARD MERELY FROM THE HEAT, AS I LIVE IN A VERY HOT AREA. I HAD THE ORC REPLACED AS PART OF SAFETY RECALL S61, HOWEVER THE VEHICLES SAFETY IS REDUCED BECAUSE THE HEADRESTS WILL NOT STAY LOCKED IN DUE TO BROKEN PLASTIC LOCKS WHICH ARE SUPPOSED TO HOLD IT BACK. APPARENTLY THE HEADRESTS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL AS IT CURRENTLY STANDS. THE CAR IS UNCOMFORTABLE TO DRIVE, AND IN THE CASE OF AN ACCIDENT, THE HEADRESTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DEPLOY SINCE THEY ARE NOW PERMANENTLY DEPLOYED. I THOUGHT THE HEADRESTS WERE ALREADY COVERED BY THE PREVIOUS RECALL, WHICH IS WHY I AM FILING NOW.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE WENT HOT AND APPROXIMATELY 20 SECONDS LATER, SMOKE SUBMERGED THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. FLAMES THEN BEGAN TO COME FROM THE HOOD THE VEHICLE AS THE ENGINE BEGAN TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT IMMEDIATELY REMOVED HIMSELF AND HIS CHILD FROM THE VEHICLE AND GOT AS FAR AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE AS POSSIBLE. NO INJURIES OCCURRED AS A RESULT OF THE FIRE AND NO MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NEEDED; THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
ENGINE HAS COMPLETELY STALLED AT LOW SPEEDS WITHOUT ANY LIGHTS OR WARNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS. CAR WILL NOT RESTART BUT IF IT SITS FOR AN HOUR OR SO IT STARTS BACK UP. NO CODES PRESENT.
MY CAR BEGAN CLICKING, APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS AT A TIME, LATE WINTER EARLY SPRING 2018-2019 WHEN THE HEAT WAS TURNED ON. I CAME TO REALIZE THE CAR DID NOT NEED TO BE RUNNING FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. DURING AN OIL CHANGE THE FOLLOWING WEEK I WAS TOLD THE CLICKING HAD TO DO WITH THE VENTS AND HOW COMMON THIS CLICKING WAS AND THAT REPAIR EAS NOT GUARANTEED. AS I AM THE PRIMARY PERSON/OCCUPANT IN MY CAR, I FOUND OUT LATER THE HEAT ONLY PRODUCED WARM AIR. THIS IS MY 1ST TIME OWNING A DODGE AND EVERYDAY MY EXPERIENCES WITH THIS CAR REAFFIRMS I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER. I MAKE IT A POINT TO TELL ANY AND EVERYONE THIS FACT. I HAVE COPIED SOME OF THE COMPLAINTS LOGGED ABOUT THIS AND MY OTHER ISSUE, CAR STALLING WHILE TURNING LEFT TO ENTER THE FREEWAY WITH THROTTLE INDICATOR. I WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ALONE AND FEMALE UNTIL TOW ARRIVED AT 9PM AND THE COST FOR AN ALTERNATOR WHICH AFTER READING THIS MAY NOT BE THE ISSUE.... HAD I KNOWN HOW UNRESPONSIVE DODGE IS TO THEIR CUSTOMERS BY PUTTING THEIR PROFIT OVER OUR COST OF REPAIRS... AGAIN, I TELL EVERYONE WHAT THEY ARE LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE IF THEY PURCHASE THE AVENGER. THE COMPLAINANTS LISTED HERE AND ON OTHER SITES VERY LIKELY AGREE. ATTACHED PICS WERE TIME STAMPED 6.39PM. I SAT ON THE ON RAMP TO THE FREEWAY APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS.
HEAD REST ON PASSENGER SIDE DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON ON JULY 15TH. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING AND GRAND DAUGHTER WAS IN PASSENGER SEAT. GRAND DAUGHTER REACHED AROUND BETWEEN THE SEATS TO GET SOMETHING AND THE HEAD REST WENT OFF, MY WIFE WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ON CITY STREET. UNSAFE IF THAT DEPLOYED TO THE PASSENGER OR DRIVER WHILE DRIVING OR SITTING STILL. COULD GIVE YOU A CONCUSSION OR LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.
THE HORN AND OR ALARM HORN CONTINUE TO BLOW WHILE IN OPERATION OR DRIVING DUE TO THE ELECTRICAL WIRING IN THE FUSE BOX COMPARTMENT MALFUNCTION
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE THE CONTACT'S SISTER WAS DRIVING 55 MPH, SHE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT IT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE DRIVER CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE. BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A BRAIN ANEURYSM AND HAD TROUBLE BREATHING. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE AND WAS TOWED TO KEN GARFF WEST VALLEY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT (LOCATED AT 4175 W 3500 S, WEST VALLEY CITY, UT 84120, (844) 353-7052). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
MY ISSUE IS WITH MY THROTTLE BODY. THIS WILL BE THE 4TH TIME IT'S BEING FIXED BETWEEN ME AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER 2 JUST FOR ME. THERE HAS BEEN TWO CASES WHERE I WAS DRIVING IN TOWN AND ALL THE SUDDEN I LOSE ALL ACCELERATION. MY GAS PEDAL GOES RIGHT TO THE FLOOR AND IT DOES NOTHING. THEN ONCE I STOPPED IT IDLES REALLY ROUGH. I'VE GONE THROUGH TWO THROTTLE BODY'S IN A 9 MONTH PERIOD AND I FEEL IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN I MAY NOT BE SO LUCKY TO SURVIVE. THE MOST RECENT TIME WAS 7/2/2019 I WAS DRIVING AND WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AND MY CAR STARTS THE ROUGH IDLING AND WHEN I HIT THE GAS IT WENT RIGHT TO THE FLOOR WHICH THEN HINDERED TRAFFIC AND ALMOST GOT HIT. THE FORST TIME IT HAPPENS TO ME LIKE I SAID I WAS DRIVING DOWN A CITY STREET STARTING A DECENT DOWNHILL AND WHEN I GOT TO THE BOTTOM OF HILL MY PEDAL WENT RIGHT TO THE FLOOR AGAIN. THAT'S SCARY SITUATION ESPECIALLY LET'S SAY CROSSING A STREET THE HAS CROSS TRAFFIC THAT DOESN'T HAVE TO STOP AND ALL THE SUDDEN YOUR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND CAN'T MOVE. I'M ALWAYS IN FEAR IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN.
2013 DODGE AVENGER 3.6L WILL NEED TO PLACED ON SAFETY RECALL P60 / NHTSA 14V-634 THE ALTERNATOR IS ALLOWING CURRENT BACK TO THE BATTERY. THE BATTERY IS COOKING AND THE ALTERNATOR IS SMOKING. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING AND DESTROYED THE BATTERY. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED I PUT IN A NEW BATTERY AND THE ALTERNATOR STARTED SMOKING AND THE NEW BATTERY BECAME VERY HOT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS OFF, WE DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED THE BATTERY TO EXPLODE AND COULD HAVE BEEN A FIRE IF I DID NOT REMOVE THE BATTERY AND THE NEW BATTERY.

FAULTY TIPM. I WAS IN MOTION DRIVING ON THE CITY STREET. I HAD MY CELLPHONE CHARGING IN THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER PORT AND MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON AT THE SAME TIME. MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS STARTED FREEZING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF MY WINDOW UNTIL I UNPLUGGED MY PHONE. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND WAIT FOR THE RAIN TO STOP. IT EVEN DOES IT WHEN I TURN ON THE AIR CONDITION. AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET THE HOOD FLEW UP INTO THE WINDSHIELD. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT DOWN. ONCE PARKED, I PULLED THE LATCH INSIDE THE CAR TO POP THE HOOD. WHEN I LIFTED, IT CAME STRAIGHT UP. NORMALLY I WOULD HAVE TO PRESS THE PIECE TO RELEASE THE HOOD THE REST OF THE WAY. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE LATCH AND NOW MY HOOD IS BENT.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE MY CAR STARTED TO EMIT BLACK SMOKE FROM THE HOOD, I PULLED OCER TO THE RIGHT HAND SHOULDER TO INSPECT THE SMOKE WHEN I GOT OUT THERE WERE FLAMES COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD I CALLED 911 IMMEDIATELY. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ABNORMAL GUAGE READINGS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. THE FIRE STARTED SPONTANEOUSLY AND IVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THIS CAR BEFORE ITS ALWAYS BEEN EXTREMELY RELIABLE. THE CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS.
Under the hood there’s electric tape holding wires together. Which is illegal. The check engine light came on since I got the car. I can’t fill my gas tank to fill cause the check engine light comes on. So it’s at half tank and can’t fill it to fill. My car did stall twice. Then there is hissing under the driver’s front side. The back end of my car feels like is going to fall apart this is a issue since I got the car. I have brought it to the dealership and they did nothing to fix any issues with the car since I got the car
ENGINE LOCKED UP WHILE MAKING A TURN AROUND ON BUSY HIGHWAY. MADE COMPLETE CAR'S STEERING TO BE LOCKED UP. LUCKY TO BE ALIVE AND OTHER CAR DID NOT SLAM INTO ME. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS VERY PROBLEM ON THIS VERY CAR, HOWEVER MY VIN WAS NOT IN THE LOT OF CARS FOR THIS RECALL. MANAGED TO MOVE OVER SOMEWHAT, BY THE TIME I HAD TOW TRUCK MEET ME (WITHIN THE HOUR) POLICE HAD CAR TOWED. THIS WAS 4 WEEKS AFTER PAYING 1400.00 IN REPAIRS ON OTHER CAR PARTS. 3 SEPARATE TIMES, CAR STALLED, WHILE DRIVING ON BUSY HIGHWAY D/T GAS GAUGE STATING HAD GAS AND REALLY DID NOT. RECALL FOR 2009 AVENGER FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT NOT 2013.
THE HEATER CORE IS COLD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHICH IS A WELL KNOWN AND WELL DOCUMENTED ISSUE WITH THIS CAR AND OTHER MOPAR MAKES/MODELS. DODGE HAS ADMITTED ITS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT BUT WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. NOT ONLY IS IT FREEZING IN MY CAR BUT THE WINDSHIELD WONT DEFROST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE FRONT AND SIDE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS. THE VISIBILITY IS TERRIBLE AND IS LIKELY TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
STARTED THE CAR ONE DAY AND SUDDENLY THE CHECK AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON. TOOK IT TO A DODGE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE ACTIVE RESTRAINT HEADREST SYSTEM WAS BROKEN. NO DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE TO THE SEAT/HEADREST NOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN USED UNUSUALLY AND IT HASN'T BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT.

I RECENTLY FIXED THE DOOR ACTUATOR BECAUSE OF THE CLICKING AND THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE HEAT PROBLEM AS WELL SINCE THEY SEEMED TO START AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME. THIS DID NOT FIX THE HEAT ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE FOUND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS WITH NO ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT AN EMAIL WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN SENT TO THE SERVICE MANGER, WHICH HE SAID HE DIDN'T RECEIVE. I HAVE CALLED MANY TIMES AND KEEP GETTING THE RUNAROUND .
