TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ATLANTA WEST CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP AND RAM (1251 THORNTON RD, LITHIA SPRINGS, GA 30122) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
THE TRANS MISSION FLUID IS LEAKING. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER HOOK UP UNDER THE HOOD IS BROKEN. THE GAS CAP IS BROKEN. I JUST PUT ON A NEW ALTERNATOR ON 9/28/2019 AND ALSO THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON.
I'VE HAD A FEW ISSUES RECENTLY WITH MY 2013 DODGE AVENGER OVER THE PAST YEAR. WHEN MY CHANGE OIL WARNING INDICATOR COMES ON, SOME OF MY WARNING INDICATOR LIGHTS RANDOMLY COME ON AS WELL. THE FIRST FEW TIMES MY AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND STAY ON. WHEN I TOOK MY CAR FOR THE OIL CHANGE I ASKED THEM CHECK THE AIRBAGS BUT THERE WAS NOTHING INDICATING A PROBLEM AND ONCE THE OIL WAS CHANGED THE LIGHT WOULD GO OFF AND STAY OFF. THE NEXT TIME IT WAS THE ABS & THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM; I GOT THE OIL CHANGED THEY CHECKED, NOTHING WAS FOUND AGAIN. BEFORE THIS LAST TIME, MY OIL WARNING CAME ON ALONG WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT, AS IF THE BRAKE WAS UP AND IT STAYED ON EVEN WHEN I DROVE, AGAIN NO PROBLEMS WERE FOUND. LAST NIGHT (5/09/18) CHANGE OIL WARNING INDICATOR CAME ON. THIS MORNING (5/10/18) I STARTED MY CAR (AUTOMATIC CAR STARTER) WENT OUT TO MY CAR AND MY TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT AND MY ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT WERE LIT. I TRIED TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON, HOWEVER THE CAR WOULDN'T SHUT OFF RIGHT AWAY. WHEN I RESTARTED MY CAR THE LIGHT INDICATORS WERE GONE. BUT WHILE DRIVING TO WORK IF I WERE TO STOP AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN MY CAR WOULD IDLE AND FEEL AS THOUGH IT WAS ABOUT TO SHUT DOWN SO I HAD TO PUT IT IN PARK WHILE STOPPED. ALSO WHEN I HAD TO ACCELERATE FROM THE STOP IF I JUST DROVE LIKE NORMAL AND TOOK MY FOOT OF THE BRAKE AND PUSH THE GAS THE RPM'S WOULD GO TO 7 THEN DROP AND MY CAR WOULD SHAKE. I HAD TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE CAREFULLY THEN DRIFT, AND THEN PRESS GENTLY ON THE GAS UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO PICK UP SPEED. THIS IS MY ONLY VEHICLE IN WHICH I DRIVE MY CHILDREN, PLEASE HELP!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY DECELERATED AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, BUT FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.
VEHICLE STALLING AND SHAKING, SHUTTING DOWN AND LOOSING POWER WHILE DRIVING. VERY UNSAFE AND CONCERNING
THE HEATER ONLY BLOWS WARM ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, ALSO THE AIR CONDITIONER JUST STARTED THE SAME THING. THE AIR CONDITIONER ONLY BLOWS COLD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. WHEN I GOOGLED THE PROBLEMS THAT MY CAR IS HAVING THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL OF THESE AVENGERS THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THIS HAS GOT TO BE A MANUFACTURE ISSUE. GOOD AFTERNOON, TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN. MY VEHICLE HAS THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON AND I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THE DEALER SHIP TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF AND EVERY TIME I HAVE GONE TO THE DEALER THEY ARE TELLING ME I HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM TO REMOVE THE AIR BAG LIGHT WHEN A RECALL WAS IN PLACE FOR THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER, THEY FIXED THAT ISSUE BUT THE ISSUE OF THE AIR BAG STILL REMAINS. THEY ARE ASKING ME TO PAY $139.00 FOR THEM TO FIND THE ISSUE AND THEN PAY ANOTHER EXTRA AMOUNT TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER. THEY ARE REFUSING TO FIX THIS ISSUE WITHOUT A COST AND IT HAS BEEN WAY TOO LONG TRYING TO GET THIS RESOLVED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FLUID LEAKED INTO THE CONNECTOR AND SHORTED OUT THE COOLING FAN MOTOR. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT NOTICED FLUID LEAKING IN THE AREA OF THE WIRING HARNESS AND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, WHICH COULD CAUSE A FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER (CRONIC CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM, 2515 N EXPRESSWAY, GRIFFIN, GA 30223, (770) 227-4271) STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM RECALL G39: LEFT RADIATOR COOLING FAN MOTOR CONNECTOR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THE FOLLOWING THREE WARNING LIGHTS HAVE STARTED TO COME ON INTERMITTENTLY; 1) MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT (MIL); 2) ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL (ETC); AND 3) ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC). THE MALFUNCTION AND ESC LIGHTS WERE THE FIRST WARNING LIGHTS TO COME ON. THE LIGHTS HAVE ACTIVATED WHILE I AM DRIVING ON DRY PAYMENT WITHOUT ANY HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS PRESENT. THE ETC WARNING LIGHT NOW COMES ON TOO. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE CAR SEEMS TO STALL WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE. TAKE OFF IS SLOW. IT TAKES ME SEVERAL BLOCKS OF DRIVING TO REACH 30 MPH. THE CAR WILL ALSO FEEL AS IF IT LUNGED BUT RESUME A SLOW PACE. TAKE OFF IS EXTREMELY SLOW WHEN I STOP FOR TRAFFIC LIGHTS. THE ENGINE SEEMS TO BE LOSING PRESSURE. I HAVE MAINTAINED THE RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE SCHEDULE. THE AFOREMENTIONED CONDITIONS REPRESENTS A SAFETY HAZARD. I FOUND RECALL # N52 ONLINE WHICH APPEARS TO BE FOR ENGINE STALL AND THE LOSS OF ENGINE PRESSURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTER MAY HAVE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THE DAY I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE, IT WAS BLOWING WARM AIR ON DRIFTS SIDE, COLD AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE. TOOK IT BACK TO DEALER THE NEXT DAY. THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIXED IT. THIS WAS DECEMBER 6TH 2017. WHEN APRIL CAME AROUND AND TRIED TO RUN THE AC INSTEAD OF HEAT, THE ACTUATORS KEEP CLICKING. DOES THIS WHETHER OR NOT THE CAR IS RUNNING. CHANGED ALL 3. VERY SHORT TERM FIX. THIS HAS BEEN A CONSTANT ISSUE AND APPARENTLY IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE WITH MOST DODGE VEHICLES! THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. HERE WE ARE OCTOBER 2020. STILL AN ISSUE. NOW THE INSIDE DOOR IS COMPLETELY STUCK. WILL NOT SWITCH DOOR OFF OF THE DEFROSTER. CANNOT AFFORD TO CONTINUALLY TAKE THIS BACK TO THE DEALER EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS WHEN IT'S DUE TO FAULTY\CHEAP PARTS.
HELLO I'M [XXX] BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE HORN GOING OFF RANDOMLY WHEN CAR IS RUNNING OR OFF SITTING IN DRIVEWAY. WINDOWS GOING UP AND DOWN ON THERE OWN WITH PRESSING THE BUTTON. HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE LOOKED OVER CAUSE IT'S ANNOYING AND EMBARRASSING DRIVING OR TURNING AND HORN BLOWS AT OTHER DRIVERS. MECHANIC NARROWED IT DOWN TO THE TIPM SYSTEM AND HAVE NOTICED ONLINE OTHER DODGE AVENGER ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. TAKATA RECALL VEHICLE STALLING AND SHAKING, SHUTTING DOWN AND LOOSING POWER WHILE DRIVING. VERY UNSAFE AND CONCERNING, AS THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF RANDOMLY IN TRAFFIC IN THE ROAD. VEHICLE HORN HONKS RANDOMLY, UNABLE TO SHUT OFF. INTERIOR LIGHTS FLASHING RANDOMLY.
THE HANDLE ON THE DOORS HAS BROKEN THE SEAL CUTTING OPEN MY HANDS MANY TIMES
THE "CHECK BRAKE" INDICATOR LIGHT CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE EVEN AFTER WE GOT THE "OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC) RECALL FIXED. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE OCR WAS CONNECTED TO THE BRAKE SYSTEM IN TURN MAKING THE BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATE, AND IT WOULD GO OFF AFTER YOU DRIVE A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES. AFTER MANY MONTHS THIS PROBLEM STILL CONTINUED INTERMITTENTLY ILLUMINATING EITHER WHILE DRIVING - ON EITHER CITY STREET OR HIGHWAY OR WHEN COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP AT A RED LIGHT OR WHEN IT WAS IN PARK. WE TOOK IT BACK TO HENDRICK DODGE IN CHARLOTTE, NC TO ULTIMATELY BE TOLD THAT WE NEED A MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER THAT COST $782.10. THIS CAR ONLY HAD 41,941 MILES ON IT AND ALL SERVICES WERE KEPT UP. THE SERVICE ADVISOR THEN TOLD US THAT THIS WAS DUE TO A "BRAKE BOOSTER WATER SHEILD DEFECT". WE WOULD LIKE TO REPORT THIS "DEFECT" THAT DODGE DOES NOT OFFER ANY "RECALL" ON OR ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WITH. WE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR ASSISTANCE IN THIS MATTER. HEATING SYSTEM. PASSENGER SIDE DOES NOT BLOW WARM / HOT AIR WHEN HEATER IS ACTIVATED. HEAT ONLY COMES THROUGH DRIVER SIDE OF VEHICLE WHILE COOL / COLD AIR IS BLOWN THROUGH PASSENGER SIDE. NOT GOOD WHEN IT IS COLD OUT AND WE EXPERIENCE FROST OR SNOW CONDITIONS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT NO HEAT WAS COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE HEATER. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO LARRY H. MILLER DODGE RAM SANDY (10985 S AUTO MALL DR, SANDY, UT 84070) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE FLUSHED SEVERAL TIMES AND THE OIL HEATER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT A SERVICE BULLETIN WAS ISSUED FOR THIS FAILURE. HOWEVER, BECAUSE THE VEHICLE EXCEEDED THE THREE YEAR MARK, NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.
WARN AIR COMING OUT OF DRIVERS SIDE VENTS, COLD AIR COMING FROM PASSENGER SIDE VENT CAUSING SAFETY ISSUE DURING OPERATION. LOCAL DEALER FIXED ISSUE ONCE AND ISSUE HAS RETURNED. WHEN HEAT IS ACTIVATED, WARM AIR FROM DRIVERS SIDE VENTS, COLD AIR FROM PASSENGER SIDE VENTS CAUSING FROST AND FOG ON PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR, REDUCING VISIBILITY DURING OPERATION.
AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON FROM A WHILE, AFTER CHECKING THE ERROR CODES, DUE HEAD SET RESTRAINT CONTROLLER. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK, THE SHIFT CABLE WAS STUCK AND FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE CONTACT CALLED BOERNE CHRYSLER AT 830-981-8000 AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND TO CONTACT NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS ONLY COLD AIR. WINDSHIELD DOES NOT DEFROST ON PASSENEGER SIDE CAUSING ISSUES NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE PROPERLY WHILE DRIVING. IT WAS TOOK TO A SHOP TO DIAGNOSE AS A HEATER CORE PROBLEM. WAS NOT ABLE TO GET REPAIRED DUE TO REPAIR COST BEI NG EXTREMLY HIGH.
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE CAR IS MOVING OR IF IT IS STATIONARY, THERE IS ONLY WARM AIR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND THERE IS COLD AIR BLOWING OUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. ONLY THE DRIVERS HALF OF MY WINDSHIELD WILL DEFROST. I HAVE REPLACED THE ACTUATOR TWICE AND IT DOES NOT HELP. THE CLICKING UNDER THE DASHBOARD NOT ONLY RETURNS, BUT THE HEAT (OR LACK-THERE-OF) IS NOT AFFECTED. IT STILL ONLY BLOWS WARM AIR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE CAR. THE DEFROST ONLY WORKS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE CAR. I UNDERSTAND THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS HAPPENING TO AVENGERS ACROSS THE BOARD, NO MATTER THE MODEL TYPE. ALL DUE IT LOOKS LIKE TO CASTING AND SAND ISSUES. AFTER FLUSHING THE CAR MULTIPLE TIMES, THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE. REPLACED THE HEATER CORE/THERMOSTAT ($850) AND THE HEAT WORKED FOR ABOUT A WEEK THEN STARTED BLOWING COLD AIR AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY REPLACED THE HEATER CONTROL PANEL. ($275). COLD AIR AGAIN......... THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL OF SOMETHING TO FIX THIS ISSUE. NOTHING IS WORKING AND IT'S ONLY COSTING A WHOLE BUNCH OF MONEY.
WHILE MAKING A STOP THE PASSENGER SEAT HEADREST DEPLOYED WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT BUT NO ACCIDENT IMPACT. THE HEADREST WILL NOT RESET. I HAD THE CAR REPAIRS DUE TO THE SAFETY RECALL COMPLETED BUT THE DEALER SAYS THEY WILL NOT COVER THE DEFECTIVE HEADREST. THIS HAS REDUCED THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE.
ETC LIGHTS COMING ON CAR NOT SAFE TO DRIVE, PART WAS REPLACED 6 MONTHS AGO AND RETURNED AGAIN. TAKING TO DEALER BUT I AM TRYING TO GET RID OF THIS CAR FOR THIS ISSUE. I HAVE NOT FOUND A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE YET. WHILE DRIVING CAR STARTED SPUTTERING IN TRAFFIC, I HAD TO PULL OVER AND TRY AGAIN TO MAKE IT HOME. ONCE I GOT THERE THE CAR REVS UP LIKE I AM PRESSING ON THE GAS SO I AM GETTING IT TOWED TO DEALER.
COLD AIR IS BLOWING OUT OF PASSENGER SIDE VENTS. DRIVER SIDE VENTS BLOW HOT AIR.
WHEN THE HEATER IS ON FOR A WHILE THE CLICKING NOISE COMES ON
HEATER WILL ONLY BLOW COLD AIR. AT FIRST THE HEATER WOULD BLOW HOT AIR ON ONLY THE DRIVER SIDE. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP IN JAN 2018 TO FIX. THEY FLUSHED THE SYSTEM AND REPLACED THE DOOR ACTUATORS. AFTER THIS IT BLEW WARM AIR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BUT ONLY LASTED FOR A FEW WEEKS. THE CAR WILL NOW ONLY BLOW COLD AIR ON BOTH SIDES. I TOOK MY CAR BACK TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP RECENTLY AND THEY'RE NOW SAYING WE'LL NEED TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR, RADIATOR CAP, RESERVOIR, ENGINE OIL COOLER, THERMOSTAT, AND HEATER CORE WHICH WILL COST ME $2700. NOTHING WAS DONE WRONG ON MY SIDE AND THIS IS SIMPLY A MANUFACTURE DEFECT AS THE DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD ME THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME WITH AVENGERS AND THERE'RE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ONLINE IN FORUMS SAYING THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO THEIR DODGE AVENGER. MY CAR HAS ONLY 81K MILES AND HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF. CHRYSLER REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AS A DEFECT WHEN THEY NEED TO STEP UP AND DO A RECALL. I PAID OVER $200 IN JAN 2018 FOR FLUSHING THE SYSTEM AND DOOR ACTUATORS. I PAID $103.96 TODAY FOR THE DIAGNOSIS. THEY QUOTED ME $2700 FOR REPLACING THE PARTS MENTIONED ABOVE. THAT WORK HASN'T BEEN DONE YET.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V552000 (ENGINE) WAS RECEIVED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MOVE FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ADVENTURE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (36845 EUCLID AVE, WILLOUGHBY, OH 44094) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.

THE PASSENAGER HEAD RESTRAINT SYSTEM IS THROWING AN ERROR THEY CANNOT FIGURE OUT. THE LOCAL SERVICE DEPARTMENT, AND CHRYSLER'S STAR TEAM (ENGINEERS) CANNOT FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. THEY HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR FIVE WEEKS. IT'S TIME FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE VEHICLE.

A FEW WEEKS AGO I WAS TURNING AND TRYING TO ACCELERATE WHEN MY ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT WENT ON. THE CAR LOST POWER BUT AFTER I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PETAL THE LIGHT TURNED OFF AND I GOT POWER BACK TO THE CAR. TOOK IT TO GET THE COMPUTER ON BUT NO CODES CAME BACK. TONIGHT I WAS MERGING INTO THE HIGHWAY WHEN ETC THE CHECK ENGINE AND THE ABS LIGHTS CAME ON. THE CAR LOST POWER AND I COULDN'T GO FASTER THEN 50MPH. I GOT BACK TO THE HOUSE TURNED THE CAR OFF THEN BACK ON AND NO LIGHTS ARE ON. I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO. IF THE LIGHTS AREN'T ON THE COMPUTER WON'T PICK UP ANY ERROR CODES. ALSO MY CAR ALREADY HAS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS. IS THIS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM?

THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND A RATTLING NOISE EMERGED FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE NOISE WORSENED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LANDMARK DODGE/JEEP/RAM IN MORROW, GEORGIA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT SLUDGE BUILD-UP WAS PREVENTING OIL FROM REACHING THE ENGINE. THE DEALER STATED THAT A NEW ENGINE WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,330.

HEATER BLOWING COLD AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE. DEALERSHIP STATES HEATER CORE IS PLUGGED UP AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT. RECALL SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED.
THE A/C / HEATER BLOWS HOT AIR ON DRIVER SIDE AND COLD AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE. DIFFICULT TO DEFROST WINDSHIELD. REPLACED THE BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR BEHIND GLOVE BOX. THIS ONLY FIXED THE CLICKING NOISE. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS.
HVAC SYSTEM HAS PROBLEMS. DRIVER SIDE BLOWS HOT AIR BUT PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS COLD AIR. THERE IS A LOT OF CLICKING BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX. I HAVE REPLACED THE ACTUATOR ONCE ALREADY. IT DID NOT FIX THE HEAT AND COLD ISSUE. THE PASSENGER SIDE BLOWING COLD AIR CAUSES THE WINDSHIELD TO FOG UP AND THE PASSENGER WINDOW TO FOG UP. BECOMES A SAFETY HAZARD TO DRIVE. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN, ON THE HIGHWAY, EVERYWHERE.
PASSENGER SIDE AIR VENTS DO NOT BLOW HEAT WHILE DRIVER SIDE VENTS WILL BLOW HEAT. ALSO, WHILE THE HEAT MET IS ON AND DRIVING COMBINING TO A STOP THE HEATER MAKES A GRINDING NOISE AND BUBBLING SOUND. I HAVE HEARD THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE THAT DODGE REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE TO FIX. THIS NEEDS TO GO ON REVIEW FOR A RECALL
THROTTLE BODY MALFUNCTION WHICH CAUSED VEHICLE TO STOP FUNCTIONING WHILE ON 70 MPH EXPRESSWAY. VEHICLE WAS MOVED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND SHUTDOWN. WHEN RESTARTED IF FUNCTIONED NORMALLY BUT, THE DASHBOARD LIGHT WOULD INTERMITTENTLY COME ON. THE VEHICLE FAULT CODES INDICATED IT WAS A THROTTLE BODY ISSUE. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS CHANGED AND CORRECTED THE ISSUE. I DISASSEMBLED THE OLD THROTTLE BODY AND FOUND THE PROBLEM TO BE AN INTERNAL PLASTIC GEAR TOOTH FAILURE. THIS IS A NON-SERVICEABLE SAFETY RELATED PART AND IN MY OPINION SHOULD NOT FAIL AT LESS THAN 80K MILES. I ASKED FCA TO REIMBURSE THE COST OF THE PART AND THEY DECLINED THIS REQUEST.

THE ACTUATOR BEHIND GLOVE BOX BEGAN TICKING. I REPLACED IT 3 TIMES. I HAVE NOW RESEARCHED AND FOUND THIS IS A KNOWN HEATER CORE ISSUE. I BELIEVE IT HAS A SPLIT CORE SYSTEM. THE HEAT OR DEFROST DOES NOT WORK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THERE ARE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THIS. THE COST TO FIX IS AN AVERAGE OF $1100. BUT THIS FIX ONLY WORKS FOR AN AVERAGE OF 1 YEAR AND THEN IT STARTS ALL OVER AGAIN. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL. IT IS MOST DEFINITELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE A VEHICLE THAT THE DEFROST DOES NOT WORK. WINDSHIELD IS OBSTRUCTED ON ONE SIDE. WILL DODGE DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS? THIS IS A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM OF SOME SORT. THIS CAR ONLY HAS 89K MILES ON IT. I NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE IN THIS MATTER. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP TO COME IN AND PAY $150 FOR DIAGNOSTICS THEN IF IT WAS A CORE PROBLEM IT WOULD BE AROUND $1200 BUT THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL I PAID THE $150. WHEN I COMPLAINED THAT IT APPEARED TO BE A DODGE ISSUE ON AVENGERS THE TECH SAID "GOOD LUCK WITH THAT" AND HUNG UP.
