MY ACCELERATOR STUCK COULD NOT STOP THE CAR IT GOT FASTER AND FASTER AS I TRIED TO STOP IT I HAD TO HIT EMERGENCY BREAKS TO STOP WAS SLIDING AS I TRIED TO STOP. I WAS LUCKY THAT I WAS ON THE EXPRESSWAY WITH NO CARS NEAR BY I WAS VERY BLESSED THAN I PANTED. I WAS PUSHING BREAKS AND IT WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING.
I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT MALL OF GEORGIA CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP ON 7/29/16 TO HAVE NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 14V-567 FIXED ON MY CAR. THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO FIX IT SINCE IT IS A FORMER POLICE CAR. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID IT WOULD STILL BE ELIGIBLE. I HAD CHRYSLER CALL THE DEALERSHIP TO LET THEM KNOW AND THEY STILL REFUSED TO FIX THE RECALL. I THEN WENT TO HAYES CHRYSLER IN GAINESVILLE GA AND THEY FIXED IT.

I WAS SENT A NOTICE LAST JULY 2016 ABOUT RECALL ON PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG NOTICE S43/NHTSA 16V-352. I AM TOLD THAT THE REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE YET. WHEN IS THIS PROBLEM GOING TO BE FIXED???
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, THE DRIVER SIDE ELECTRIC COOLING FAN BLADE BROKE AND PUNCTURED A HOLE INTO THE RADIATOR CAUSING MY CAR TO OVERHEAT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COOLING FAN BLADE WAS FRACTURED. ALSO, SHROUDS OF THE FAN WENT THROUGH THE RADIATOR, WHICH CAUSED A LEAK AND DAMAGED THE RADIATOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,000.
TAKATA RECALL: I HAVE MADE CONTACT WITH THREE DIFFERENT DODGE DEALERSHIPS IN THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH AREA OVER THE COURSE OF SEVERAL MONTHS AT DIFFERENT TIMES AND EACH TIME THE SERVICE MANAGERS HAVE NOT GOTTEN BACK TO ME. DODGE LOCATIONS IN GRAPEVINE, PLANO AND DALLAS HAVE FAILED TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM OR EVEN SCHEDULE IT TO COME IN. I HAVE DRIVEN UP TO EACH LOCATION TO REQUEST THE RECALLED PROBLEM BE DEALT WITH BUT THEY HAVE NOT SCHEDULED IT TO BE FIXED, SAYING THAT THEY STILL DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS AND WERE BEING INUNDATED WITH PROBLEM VEHICLES. WHAT IS THE POINT OF ISSUING A RECALL IF THE DEALERSHIPS WON'T DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM?

WHILE DRIVING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, THE COOLING SYSTEM FAN BLADES CAME APART AND THE SHROUDS OF THE FAN WENT THRU THE RADIATOR CAUSING IMMEDIATE LEAKAGE OF ALL COOLANT AND DESTROYING THE RADIATOR. I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS. THIS CAUSED LOSS OF RADIATOR COOLANT. FANS AND RADIATOR WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH COOLANT. ACCORDING TO DODGE, THIS HAS BEEN RECALLED ON SOME SAME VEHICLES (2008 CHARGERS) BUT MINE HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED OR NOTIFIED THAT THIS COULD OCCUR. THEY STATED IN THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT THAT THEY KNOW THEY HAVE INSTALLED A DEFECTIVE PART THAT CAN CAUSE FUTURE CAR DAMAGE, BUT WON'T DO ANYTHING TO FIX IT. I WAS REFUSED SINCE MY VIN IS NOT COVERED" BY THIS NOTIFICATION, EVEN THOUGH MY CAR IS IN A WARM CLIMATE STATE (FLORIDA) AND MY MAKE, MODEL, YEAR OF VEHICLE ARE EXACT TO THE DESCRIBED ISSUE IN THE NOTIFICATION
MY CAR WILL OCCASIONALLY RANDOMLY TURN OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC ESPECIALLY DURING RUSH HOUR BECAUSE I HAVE TO CROSS LANES OF TRAFFIC AND PULL OVER WITH ABSOLUTELY NO POWER WHICH ALSO MEANS NO AIR BAGS! ON TOP OF THAT MY KEY RARELY COMES OUT OF THE IGNITION WHEN I TURN THE CAR OFF SO I HAVE TO LEAVE MY CAR UNLOCKED WITH THE KEY IN IT.

2008 CHARGER POLICE EDITION PROPERLY MAINTENANCED IT'S ENTIRE LIFE HAS A HAD PISTON IN 3 CYLINDER AT 130,000 I WAS TOLD IF I DRIVE IT AGAIN IT WILL THROW A ROD SO NOW I IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER MOTOR THAT PROBABLY WON'T LAST ANOTHER 100,000 THE MOTORS ARE JUNK IT'S WELL KNOWN THAT THESE MOTORS HAVE ENGINE PROBLEMS AND START GOING AS SOON AS WARRANTY IS UP.

I JUST HAD MY 2008 DODGE CHARGER 80,635MI SERVICED FOR THE IGNITION RECALL SERVICE # P57/NHTSA 14V-567 OF WHICH TOOK 13 MONTHS BEFORE REPAIRS WERE MADE, AND AFTER THE NEW SWITCH AND NEW FOB'S WERE RETURNED TO ME (INSTALLED OF COURSE) FOB'S ARE OF CHRYSLER AND NOT DODGE (NO SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE OF NAMES ARE DIFFERENT) BUT AFTER ONLY HAVING MY CAR FOR JUST 2 DAYS OF BEING RETURNED TO ME, THE "NEW" IGNITION SWITCH NOW IS DEFECTIVE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AS BEFORE, AND JUST IN ONE DAY ITSELF,JUST STARTING THE CAR UP, THE "RETURN TO RUN POSITION" HAD FAILED (4) FOUR TIMES, AND JUST YESTERDAY 01-16-16 TWICE WHEN IGNITION IS RETURNED TO THE OFF POSITION, I WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE THE FOB FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH UNTIL RESTARTING THE CAR THEN SHUT IT DOWN AGAIN...CHRYSLER/DODGE & FIAT N.A.U.S.A. AS WELL WITH THE NHTSA SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS AS A REOCCURRING PROBLEM BEFORE IT IS TO LATE...I HAD SPENT 5 YEARS WITH THE ORIGINAL IGNITION BEGIN BROKEN, AND DODGE AND DEALERS CARED LESS OF MY EMAILS ABOUT THE FAILURE. ON 4 SEPARATE OCCURANCES WHILE CAR IN MOTION THE CAR ENGINE STALLED AND REQUIRED RESTARTING. VARIOUS SPEEDS AT TIME OF STALLS 5 - 45 MPH. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING OVER A SET OF BUMPY RAILROAD TRACKS AT WHICH TIME THE CAR ENGINE STALLED AND HAD TO BE RESTARTED IN NEUTRAL. THE OTHER TIMES I WAS ON LEVEL ROADWAY WHEN CAR ENGINE STALLED AND REQUIRED RESTARTING. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT HAPPENED 11/17/15 AND THE CAR ENGINE STALLED 2 TIMES IN ONE DAY AT A SPEED OF 45 MPH. WHEN TURNING THE KEY TO THE RIGHT TO START THE VEHICLE IT TENDS TO HANG UP AND GET STUCK IN THAT POSITION. I FOUND THAT A RECALL WAS DONE ON CERTAIN 2008 DODGE CHARGERS REGARDING IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEMS SO I CALLED TO SEE IF MY VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. IT IS NOT INCLUDED - THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND I TRAVEL A MAJOR INTERSTATE DAILY. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY VEHICLE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL FOR THE FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. I DID HAVE MY CAR CHECKED FOR INDICATOR CODES TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY PROBLEMS INDICATED AND NOTHING FOUND.
