I HAD RECEIVED A IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL ABOUT A MONTH OR TWO AGO. I HAVEN'T GOTTEN THE FOLLOW UP LETTER TO TAKE MY VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR.
IT STARTED WITH THE KEY GETTING STUCK IN THE IGNITION, I WOULD HAVE TO SIT IN THE CAR AND WAIT UNTIL I HEAR A CLICKING NOISE. I THINK THAT'S WHEN THE KEY IS REALEASED AND I CAN PULL THE KEY OUT. AT FIRST IT TOOK AS LONG AS 5 TO 10 MINUTES. NOW IT CAN TAKE UP TO THREE HOURS, I WOULD LEAVE THE KEY IN THE CAR, COME BACK AND CHECK ON THE KEY TO SEE IF I CAN PULL THE KEY OUT AND MAKE SURE THE CAR IS OFF. THE LAST TIME WHICH WAS 2 WEEKS AGO MY BATTERY WAS DRAINED AND I HAD TO GET SOMEONE TO GIVE ME A JUMP. THIS MORNING I GO TO WORK PARKED THE PROCEED TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND PULL THE KEY OUT AND THE KEY WAS STUCK AS USUAL. I CAME BACK OUT 30 MINUTES LATER TO SEE IF THE KEY WAS RELEASED AND IT WAS SO I PULLED THE KEY OUT THE CAR IS TURNED OFF. I WENT TO GO TO LUNCH AND PROCEEDED TO PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND THE CAR DOES NOT TURN ON. THE BATTERY IS WORKING BECAUSE I HAVE LIGHTS AND THE LOCK ON THE DOORS ARE WORKING. THIS IS SUCH AND INCONVIENCE TO ME AND MY FAMILY.

I HAVE ONGOING PROBLEMS WITH IGNITION SWITCH FAILURE, RESULTING IN THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUTTING OFF - NO ENGINE POWER, NO BRAKES, NO POWER STEERING. THIS INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 6 WEEKS. MY CAR IS ON THE RECALL LIST WITH DODGE SINCE LAST NOVEMBER, BUT THEY HAVE YET TO GET THE PARTS IN TO FIX IT. I AM VERY UPSET THAT THEY HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET PARTS IN TO FIX WHAT COULD BE A CATASTROPHIC AND DEADLY PROBLEM IN THE LAST 7 MONTHS. I'M ALSO BEING TOLD MY CAR HAS THE AIRBAG RECALL TO GO ALONG WITH IT. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE PUT SOME PRESSURE ON DODGE TO EITHER GET MY CAR FIXED OR GET ME A SAFE CAR TO DRIVE IN THE MEANTIME? MY LIFE, AND POTENTIALLY MY FAMILY'S LIFE COULD DEPEND ON IT.

THE CAR WOULD NOT CRANK AT TIMES AND SOMETIMES WOULD NOT CRANK AT ALL. IT WOULD ALSO TURN OFF WHEN DRIVING AND SITTING STILL. I AM NOT SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. I HAD THE CODES CHECKED ON THE COMPUTER AND GOT A P57 CODE. IT THE IGNITION IN THE SWITCH. THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS PART. I CALLED THE RECALL HOT LINE AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE AND COULD NOT GIVE ME AN EXACT ARRIVAL DATE. I HOPE THAT I DON'T LOSE MY JOB OVER THIS RECALL. I WAS DRIVING MY 2008 DODGE CHARGER ABOUT 45 MPH, WHEN SUDDENLY THE POWER WENT OUT ON MY VEHICLE CAUSING ME TO STOP IN TRAFFIC. WHEN I TRIED TO RESTART MY CAR, IT WOULDN'T START. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO TRY TO START THE VEHICLE, IT FINALLY STARTED.. A FEW MILES INTO MY JOURNEY, THE PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN.. I WAS TAKING MY COUSIN HOME FROM WORK. THAT WHEN WE PULLED DOWN HIS DRIVE WAY AND STOP. THAT WHEN HE TRY TO GET OUT OF THE CAR AND THE SEAT BELT WAS STUCK. WE TRY MISSING WITH IT FOR FIVE MINUTES AND IT STILL DIDN'T COME LOSE. SO I HAD TO TAKE THE SEATBELT BOLT OF THE PASSENGER SEAT SO HE CAN GET OUT OF THE CAR. FOR MANY MONTHS THE VEHICLE HAS HAD ISSUES WITH SPEEDOMETER DROPPING TO ZERO WHILE DRIVING, HEADLIGHTS DIMMING, AND A DELAY WHEN STARTING. UNTIL RECENTLY IT WOULDN'T START AT ALL. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO THEN REPLACED THE BATTERY WHICH HAD SHOWN FAILURE WHEN TESTED. AFTER GETTING MY VEHICLE BACK THE PROBLEMS IMMEDIATELY CONTINUED. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED I MAY NEED TO REPLACE THE TIPM. ALSO INFORMED THAT ISSUES WITH THE TIPM AND MANY OTHER VEHICLE MODELS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IS IN EFFECT REGARDING FAULTY TIPM. *TR

ON APRIL 12, 2015 WHILE DRIVING AT 65MPH ON HWY 195 MY CAR DIED AND I WAS FORCED TO PULL OVER ON MEDIAN. THE CAR HAS DONE THIS AT LEAST A COUPLE OF TIMES SINCE 2013 AND USUALLY STARTS BACK UP EXCEPT FOR 1 TIME IN DEC 2014. TODAY APRIL 12 ,2015 THE CAR WOULD NOT START BACK UP AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO MY HOME. I WILL CALL CHRYSLER LLC IN THE AM. HOWEVER IN DEC 2014 MY DODGE DID THE SOMETHING SIMILAR IT DIED AT A SLOWER SPEED 55 MPH ON HWY 190 AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO HOME AND LATER HAD TO HAVE MY ENGINE REPLACE DUE TO CRACKED HEAD GASKETS COSTING ME $1800.00 I WENT TO DODGE COUNTRY IN KILLEEN MULTIPLE TIMES IN 2014 AND 2015 TRYING TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED AFTER THE RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED ON THE IGNITION AND THERE ARE NO PARTS EACH TIME IM FED UP AND IM VOICING IT!!! I HAVE 2 KIDS THAT RIDE WITH ME AND ITS NOT SAFE ANY MORE!!!! *TR

I STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH MY CAR STARTING FOR MONTHS. IN MARCH I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC HE SAID MY IGNITION SWITCH WAS GOING BAD AND I NEEDED TO REPLACE IT. SO I ORDERED THE PART AND THEN FOUND OUT ABOUT THE RECALL. A FEW WEEKS LATER MY CAR WOULDN'T START AND AFTER TRYING FOR A BIT THE BATTERY DIED. I TOWED IT TO A DODGE DEALERSHIP TOLD THEM A MECHANIC SAID I NEEDED A NEW IGNITION SWITCH THEY RAN A FULL DIAGNOSTIC AND SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE IT WAS JUST THE BATTERY. I PAID FOR A BATTERY & DIAGNOSTIC AND WENT ON MY WAY. A FEW DAYS LATER CAR WOULDN'T START AT THE STORE. I TOOK MY CAR TO A DIFFERENT DODGE DEALERSHIP TOLD THEM THE ISSUES I WAS HAVING & THAT IT MIGHT BE THE IGNITION SWITCH THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTIC SAID THEY THINK IT WAS A RELAY SWITCH SO THEY REPLACED THAT. THEY SAID IF IT STILL HAD PROBLEMS STARTING IT WOULD BE THE IGNITION SWITCH GOING BAD. A COUPLE WEEKS LATER I'M AT THE GAS STATION CAR WON'T START. I CALLED THE DODGE DEALERSHIP I TOOK IT TO THE LAST TIME THEY TOLD ME TO BRING THE CAR BACK SO THEY CAN RUN ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC. I CALLED THE CORPORATE # EXPLAINED WHAT WAS HAPPENING TOLD THEM I NEED A NEW IGNITION SWITCH BUT NO PARTS ARE BEING MANUFACTURED SO I CANT GET IT FIXED AND THEY ARE TRYING TO TELL ME IT'S NOT THE IGNITION SWITCH THAT IS THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN STRANDING COUNTLESS TIMES ALL I WANT IS A WORKING PART FOR MY CAR AND THEY ARE ALL GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND. MY CAR HAS PROBLEMS STARTING EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS SOMETIME A COUPLE TIMES A DAY. THEY HAVE NO SOLUTIONS AND I NEED A WORKING CAR.
IN NOVEMBER OF 2014 I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR P57 WHICH IS THE WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE STATING THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED AS SOON AS THEY BECAME AVAILABLE. I RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTICE IN FEBRUARY OF 2015 AT WHICH TIME I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DODGE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THERE WERE CURRENTLY NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO FIX THE ISSUE. SOMETIME DURING THE MIDDLE OF MARCH I WAS TURNING RIGHT ONTO A 5 LINE HIGHWAY WHEN I LOST ALL POWER TO MY VEHICLE. AS I TRIED TO GET OFF THE ROAD AND OUT OF TRAFFIC THE POWER RESTORED ON IT'S OWN. THIS SAME POWER LOST HAS OCCURRED ONCE MORE SINCE MARCH. I HAVE CONTINUED TO CHECK WITH MY LOCAL DEALER BUT NO PARTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE. FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS I HAVE HAD SIGNIFICANT TROUBLE GETTING THE VEHICLE TO START. WHEN I PLACE THE KEY IN THE START POSITION IT WILL DO NOTHING EXCEPT TURN ON THE WARNING LIGHTS. AFTER ATTEMPTING THIS SEVERAL TIMES IT WILL EVENTUALLY START BUT THEN WILL SOMETIMES JUST SHUT BACK OFF. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT BEING ON A BUSY INTERSTATE AND LOSING POWER WHICH TAKES ALL OF THE VEHICLE CONTROL. ON AUGUST 26, 2015, I ONCE AGAIN CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER AND WAS ONCE AGAIN TOLD ME THERE WERE NO PARTS AVAILABLE. I WAS GIVEN THE NUMBER OF1-800-992-1997 TO CONTACT. AFTER SPENDING 51 MINUTES ON THE PHONE WITH A GENTLEMAN NAMED ALEX I WAS BASICALLY TOLD THAT UNLESS THE CAR WAS BROKEN DOWN OR I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO, BUT IF I DID BECOME INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THE MALFUNCTION I COULD CONTACT THEM BACK AND THEY WOULD TRY AND ASSIST ME BETTER. I SUPPOSE THAT IF I GET KILLED IN A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT CAUSED BY THE ISSUE THAT ISN'T BEING FIXED, THEN THAT IS ONE LESS CAR THEY HAVE TO REPAIR.

UPON PURCHASING THE VEHICLE ON 01/31/2015 THE FIRST INCIDENT WHERE THE VEHICLE JUST CUT OFF WHEN I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT HAPPENED ON 02/13/2015 AND THEN NUMEROUS TIMES AFTER THAT, I WAS ABLE TO CRANK THE CAR BACK UP AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A PRIVATE DEALER AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, THAT THE VEHICLE ISNT RECEIVING POWER TO THE ENGINE. IT HAPPENED AGAIN YESTERDAY ON 09/02/15. I FEAR FOR THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN AND THAT OF MY PATIENTS, MY JOB REQUIRES THAT I TRAVEL FROM CITY TO CITY RECEIVING PATIENT CARE, THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE THAT I HAVE AT THE MOMENT AND CANNOT AFFORD MONTHLY PAYMENTS ON ANOTHER VEHICLE.
