TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP, DIAGNOSED AS FAULTY FUEL FILLER. NEW FUEL FILLER BACK-ORDERED, *NO PARTS AVAILABLE*. CAR IS A SAFETY HAZARD WITH FUEL VAPORS ESCAPING.

MILLER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM RIVERDALE, 1481 W RIVERDALE RD, RIVERDALE, UT 84405, (801) 528-7478) STATED THAT THEY WOULD SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE REPAIR. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE MANUFACTURER WOULD SUPPLY PARTS FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A REASONABLE TIME FRAME TO PROVIDE THE ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING 1 MPH AND PARKING THE VEHICLE, IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A WALL AND PINNED A CAREGIVER. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO SHIFT GEARS, WHICH PROLONGED THE INJURY. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED, BUT A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CAREGIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED. THE BODY DAMAGE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE CONTACT NOTICED A FUEL ODOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (SCAP AUTO, 430 TUNXIS HILL RD, FAIRFIELD, CT, 203-384-0005) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER BOX WAS REWIRED AND COULD CAUSE A FIRE. THE TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED THAT THE POWER BOX BE REPLACED AND THAT DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WAS NEEDED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
MY ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE IS THE RACK AND PINION LOCKING UP ON ME WHEN I TURN LEFT. I TOOK IT INTO DODGE AND THEY DIDN'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING WITH IT BECAUSE THE PROBLEM WASN'T HAPPENING AT THE TIME THAT IT WAS BROUGHT INTO THE SHOP, THIS WAS WHEN I HAD WARRANTY THAT I PAID EXTRA FOR AND EVERYTHING. AFTER IT GOT WORSE, I LOST CONTROL OF IT MAKING A LEFT AND I HIT A CURB, WHICH CAUSED ME TO HAVE TO GET A NEW TIRE. AS I AM DRIVING TO CLASS OR WORK, I GO TO MAKE MY REGULAR LEFT AND MY CAR KEEPS LOCKING UP AS I TURN SO I HAVE TO FORCE IT OUT OF THE LEFT TURN. I WOULD GET THE PROBLEM FIXED, BUT THE ISSUE WITH THIS IS THAT IT IS OVER $1000 TO GET FIXED. NOW MY MOTHER DRIVES MY CAR SOMETIMES, AND SHE HAS A PROBLEM WITH DRIVING MY CAR BECAUSE OF THIS, SO SHE DOES NOT DRIVE IT ANYMORE. THIS ISSUE COULD BE A PROBLEM FOR SOMEONE ELSE BECAUSE IT CAN LOCK UP AND CAUSE A BAD ACCIDENT, KILL OR SERIOUSLY INJURE SOMEONE. THIS PROBLEM SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING CONSIDERING HOW NEW THE VEHICLE IS AND I THINK THEY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T FIX IT DURING WARRANTY BECAUSE THE ISSUE WAS NOT CONSISTENT. BASED ON FORUMS, I ALSO SEE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM. NOW IT IS EVERY TIME I TURN ON THE CAR IT LOCKS UP WHEN I TURN LEFT, IT IS VERY UNSAFE.
TWICE I PULLED IN MY DRIVEWAY AND THOUGHT I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND WENT TO GATHER MY THINGS BEFORE SHUTTING THE CAR OFF AND INSTEAD OF BEING IN PARK THE CAR CONTINUED FORWARD. THE FIRST TIME IT SCRAPED MY SIDE FENCE AND THE SECOND UNTIL IT HIT MY CHAIN LINK GATE- BENDING THE POSTS AND TAKING THE FENCE GATE OFF THE POSTS. THE FENCE GATE THEM PROCEEDED TO FALL ON TOP OF THE HOOD OF THE CAR. BECAUSE I WAS GATHERING MY ITEMS OFF THE SEAT I DIDN'T NOTICE THE CAR MOVING UNTIL I HEARD THE CRUNCHING SOUND.

DEALER HAS NO PARTS TO FIX DEFECTS IN RECALL THAT HAD BEEN OUT FOR MONTHS.
I RECENTLY TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER TO GET CHECK OUT BECAUSE THE WIPERS ARE CONSTANTLY GOING WHILE I AM DRIVING ON HIGH. THE TECH STATED I NEED A ( MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH INTERNAL PART #1JH93DX9AL. ) WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE STEERING WHEEL. HE STATED THE PART IS ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER AND IF I WAS TO COME PAY FOR IT. HE DONT HAVE A ETA WHEN IT WILL COME. IT COULD TAKE MONTHS AND MONTHS HE STATED. I CALL CRYSTLER RECALL HOTLINE TO GET MORE IN DEPT WITH HELP ON GETTING THIS PART, THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING, AND TO CALL BACK NEXT TUESDAY , FIVE DAYS FROM NOW TO SEE IF THEM AND THE DEALER HAVE A ETA IF THE PART IS AVAILABLE. THE WIPERS ARE WEARING DOWN, AND MY WINDSHIELD IS VIBRATING DUE TO THE FAST MOTION OF THE WIPERS ARE GOING. I DRIVE A 2HR ROUND TRIP TO WORK 5 TO 6 DAYS A WEEK AND THE WEAR AND TEAR IS GETTING WORSE ON MY WINDSHIELD. I ASK THE TECH IF THERE ANYWAY HE COULD BY PAST IT OR PULL THE FUSE, HE STATED NO BECAUSE THE FUSE CONTROLS THE STARTER AND OTHER MAJOR COMPONENTS IN THE CAR. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO, I NEED THIS PART, I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IS THERE NOT A RECALL ON THESE CARS IF THERE IS A NATIONAL BACK ORDER, THIS IS MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION TO GET BACK TO WORK.. ALTERNATOR FAILED / TURNED OFF 4 LANE HWY (55 SPEED LIMIT) ON TO (35) SIDE STREET THEN ON TO (25) TO HOME . CAR FAILED TURNING INTO DRIVEWAY.
2013 DODGE CHARGER 50000 MILES JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND I START HEARING A WHINING SOUND I NEVER HEARD BEFORE THEN 10 MINUTES LATER A MESSAGE POPS UP AND SAYS MY CAR IS IN BATTERY SAVER MODE. ALTERNATOR WENT OUT SUDDENLY WITH NO WARNING THE SAME THAT HAPPENS WITH THE V6 MODELS BUT CRYSLER ONLY RECALLED V6 MODELS NOT V8. THANKFULLY MY DAD WHO HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH HIS 2013 V8 CRYSLER 300 WARNED ME TO PARK BEFORE I DAMAGED MY BATTERY OR MY CAR STALL ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD LIKE HIS DID 4 MONTHS AGO. IT IS IRRESPONSIBLE FOR CRYSLER TO ONLY DO A RECALL THAT COVERS HALF THE CARS THAT IS AFFECTED WITH THESE BAD ALTERNATORS

YESTERDAY EVENING, THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ON MY VEHICLE CAME ON. ALTHOUGH THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR MY VEHICLE STATES THAT AN AIRBAG LIGHT NEEDS TO BE CHECKED IMMEDIATELY, THIS MORNING I WAS UNABLE TO OBTAIN A SERVICE APPOINTMENT DESPITE MY HAVING CONTACTED TWO LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIPS. WHEN I SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENTS AT BOTH DEALERSHIPS, I WAS TOLD THAT THE AIRBAGS ON MY VEHICLE MAY NOT BE WORKING. HOWEVER, NEITHER DEALERSHIP WOULD GIVE ME A A SERVICE APPOINTMENT UNTIL NEXT WEEK. WHEN I CALLED FIAT CHRYSLER'S CUSTOMER DEPARTMENT, I WAS TOLD THAT MY VEHICLE IS SUBJECT TO A SAFETY RECALL DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH ITS AIRBAGS. IT WAS ALSO ACKNOWLEDGED BY THE REPRESENTATIVE WITH WHOM I SPOKE THAT ONE OR MORE OF THE AIRBAGS ON MY VEHICLE MAY NOT BE WORKING. IN SPITE OF THIS, AND IN SPITE OF THE RECALL, FIAT CHRYSLER TOLD ME THAT IT IS UNABLE TO GET ME A SERVICE APPOINTMENT TODAY TO HAVE THE RECALL AND AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ISSUES ADDRESSED. FURTHERMORE, I WAS TOLD THAT IF THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT PROBLEM IS NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL, I MIGHT HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THE PROBLEM ADDRESSED IF IT IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. ALTHOUGH I ASKED TO BE GIVEN A RENTAL CAR TODAY TO DRIVE UNTIL MY VEHICLE CAN BE SEEN AT A DEALERSHIP, FIAT CHRYSLER WOULD NOT AUTHORIZE ME TO RECEIVE A RENTAL CAR FREE OF CHARGE, AND INSTEAD TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO RENT A CAR USING MY OWN MONEY AND SEEK REIMBURSEMENT. FIAT CHRYSLER HAS TOLD ME THAT MY COMPLAINT HAS BEEN "ESCALATED" AND THAT I WOULD RECEIVED A RETURN CALL FROM FIAT CHRYSLER "AS SOON AS POSSIBLE," DESPITE WHICH I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RETURN PHONE CALL. I NOW HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH LUCAS DODGE IN MT. HOLLY, NEW JERSEY, BUT FOR TODAY I AM BEING FORCED TO DRIVE A VEHICLE THAT MAY HAVE EITHER DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS OR NO WORKING AIRBAGS AT ALL.
COMPLETED THE RECALL ON CAMPAIGN 14V634000 , FOR THE ALTERNATOR. LESS THAN 2 WEEKS LATER, DRIVING ON A TWO LANE ROAD, GOING 35MPH, THE VEHICLE LOOSES ALL POWER. AFTER GETTING IT TO A DEALERSHIP, NOW INFORMED THAT IT IS A BAD STARTER. THE ISSUES WITH THE CAR HAVE BEEN ALL ELECTRICAL: DOOR WINDOW BUTTON STOPPED WORKING, AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT WORK (DEALER IS UNABLE TO FIGURE OUT PROBLEM). THESE ARE SIGNIFICANT ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH A 2 YEAR OLD VEHICLE.
THE COOLING SYSTEM RADIATOR WATER PUMP HEATER CORE IS GIVING PROBLEMS IN A LOT OF THESES CARS THE MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP SAYS HE SEES IT ALL THE TIME THE RADIATOR IN MINE IS COMING APART AT THE SEEMS AND A POLICE FRIEND OF MINE SAYS THEY HAVE LOST 3 DUE TO THE SAME PROBLEM THEN RUNNING HOT AND BLOWING UP

WHILE DRIVING TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND FAILED TO RESTART. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RECEIVE A SOLUTION WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME AND MAY EXPERIENCE THE CONDITION PROGRESSING WHILE WAITING FOR THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER TO REMEDY THE FAILURE FOR TWO WEEKS. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED NO RESOLUTION AND INDICATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD NEED TO WAIT UNTIL AN APPOINTMENT WAS AVAILABLE WITH THE DEALER APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
SENSOR LIGHT FOR AIRBAG ILLUMINATED WHEN RETURNING FROM OUT OF TOWN TRIP YESTERDAY 04-AUG-15. I FIRST SEARCHED FOR RECALLS AND FOUND AN ARTICLE THAT 2 DAYS AGO THERE WAS A RECALL ON SELECT VEHICLES. THE VEHICLES LISTED INCLUDED DODGE CHARGERS 2011-2014. I CALLED TO CONFIRM WITH DEALERSHIP WHETHER OR NOT MY PARTICULAR VIN WAS INVOLVED IN THE RECALL. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT. THIS WORRIES ME DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE SENSOR AND IF THE AIR BAG HAPPENS TO DEPLOY WHILE I AM DRIVING. I COULD HURT MYSELF, MY FAMILY OR OTHER DRIVERS. I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO CHECK INTO THIS SINCE THE RECALL IS SO RECENT AND ON THE WEBSITE FOR THE RECALL IT STATES THAT IT MAY NOT INCLUDE RECENT RECALLS. I WAS DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY AT 60MPH WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ALTERNATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR RAPIDLY DECELERATE FROM 60 TO 19 MPH. I SMELLED BURNING SMOKING SMELL AND HAD TO QUICKLY GET OUT OF THE MIDDLE LANE AND TO THE RIGHT TO GET OFF THE EXPRESSWAY. I TURNED OFF THE AIR CONDITIONING EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A 100 DEGREE DAY AND THE CAR REGAINED A TINY BIT OF ENERGY AND CONTINUED FORWARD AT 25 MPH. I MANAGED TO GET IT THE FEW MILES HOME BUT WAS SMELLING BURNING SMOKE THE WHOLE TIME. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED INSTANTLY WHEN IT SHUT DOWN IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF THE EXPRESSWAY.

AT TIMES WHEN DRIVING EITHER ON A CITY STREET OR HIGHWAY, THE TRANSMISSION WILL DOWNSHIFT TO LOW GEAR OUT OF NOWHERE. 04/15/2015 THERE WAS A MUTUAL ACCIDENT OR FAULTY DUE TO SECOND DRIVER BEING BLINDED BY A TRUCK ON A MERGE INTO A DRIVE THRU BANKING AT PNC BANK N 87TH AND COTTAGE GROVE CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. I WAS SITTING IN THE TURN AND THE OTHER CAR HIT THE VEHICLE AT 45 MPH ON A 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT. THERE WAS MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE OTHER DRIVERS FRONT BUMPER, ALSO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO MINE. HOWEVER, THE ENTIRE BUMPER FELL OFF THE VEHICLE, THERE IS APPROXIMATELY 4500 DOLLARS WORTH OF REPAIRS TO BE DONE. AT ANY RATE THE BUMPER SHOULD HAVE SUSTAINED A DENT OR CRACK NOT THE ENTIRE BUMPER FALL OFF AND ALL PLASTIC PIECES HOLDING IT TOGETHER EITHER. WHAT IT IS WITH A 20K + CAR THAT A HIT EVEN AT THAT SPEED WOULD TAKE THE ENTIRE BUMPER OFF A CAR AND ALL PIECES HAVE TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE CONDENSER. THAT'S A REALLY BUM DEAL FOR A CAR THAT SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE. IT CAN'T HANDLE NOTHING. BUT AN OLDER CAR CAN PLEASE INVESTIGATE CAR STRUCTURE FOR DEFECTS. I ASKED IF THEY HAD ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THE RECALL, TO WHICH THEY INDICATED THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT IT, BUT DID NOT HAVE ANY NEW INFORMATION EITHER. THEY OFFERED TO LOAD TEST MY BATTERY, WHICH WAS FINE, INDICATING THAT I COULD CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE CAR. LATER IN THE DAY ON FEB 2, I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM CHRYSLER ASSISTANCE INDICATING THAT MY COMPLAINT HAD BEEN FORWARDED TO THEIR SPECIAL TRACKING DEPARTMENT, AND THAT ONCE THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE, I WOULD BE NOTIFIED.
