The vehicle's shifter cable brushing was what was originally recalled. The dealership I visited informed me that the vehicle still has concerns about not being able to recognize when the car is in park. This means the vehicle is still unsafe to drive and a remedy has not yet been released for this. The dealership in question was Sky Dodge in Provo UT.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission gear was inoperative. The contact restarted the vehicle for the vehicle to return to normal operation. The failure had occurred on several occasions. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken back to the residence, and a dealer was contacted; however, the dealer stated that the remedy for the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.

Vehicle is consuming oil, stalling, milage blinking, radio goes out, key switch will not turn to off, not going into park, oil pan bolts backing off, brakes shimmy over 55, list goes on, still no fix for the recall
In October I brought my car in due to my car not correctly going into park. It almost fully gave out the time the recall started for dodge darts gear shifter, though there were times my car wouldn’t go into park and release the key months before. The shop ran codes that mentioned the ignition switch. They replaced the ignition switch hoping that’d fix the problem, but it didn’t. They brought it to a dodge dealership to have it reprogrammed hoping it’d allow the switch to work. After no success they looked further into the problem and dodge confirmed it was the gear shifting cable. When I called dodge to have them look into it more, they let me know there’s nothing they can do and refused the attempt to fix it, saying there’s no remedy. No other codes were mentioned, other than the ignition switch that was replaced / reconfigured by dodge. Dodge confirmed it was the gear shifter by looking at the part. Due to the shop not knowing what to do, and not being able to fix the problem I haven’t had the best experience with being able to obtain documentation. Their receptionist let me know they deleted the file on my car. Since then I’ve reached out asking for proof of documentation from dodge, and called dodge as well, but haven’t been given the documentation I’ve requested many times.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train). The contact several months ago, it became difficult to move the gear shifter from park(P) to reverse(R), or from park(P) to drive(D). There was no warning light illuminated. The local dealer was contacted about additional information about the recall; however, the contact was informed that parts for the recall repair were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 127,000.
The shift cable became disconnected from my vehicle with no prior warning while I was driving through a parking lot. The car would not move into park, or any other shift as it was stuck in reverse, and since it would not move into park, the car would not turn off, causing danger for every passenger in the car. All of our safety was at risk. We had to have the car towed to a firestone, where they were able to replace the shift cable, for the car to start working properly again. Just 2 days later, I received a recall notice in the mail, in regards to this very feature- the shift cable- disconnecting and causing the car to be stuck in motion in one direction. Exactly what happened to my car, and what I had just paid out of pocket to fix. I submitted this invoice and receipt for reimbursement, as a part was fixed which is inked to the recall, before I even knew there was a recall. Upon contacting Dodge, they simply stated they will not reimburse me since there is no remedy to the recall. Not reimbursing a customer who's life was at risk due to the recall, and had to fix the issue out of emergency, is inexcusable. I should not have to wait for a 'remedy' to be provided when I already paid out of pocket to have it fixed.
Radio doesn't always turn on, the vehicle doesn't always go into park, the key switch doesn't always go into the lock position and stays in ACC mode.

The contact had not experienced a failure.
I have an open safety recall that has no available fix. My dealership confirmed they cannot repair it and advised me it may be unsafe. Because I cannot safely operate the vehicle, I am requesting a manufacturer buyback or financial assistance toward a replacement vehicle. Please escalate this to a case manager.
MY WIFE RETURNED HOME FROM A SHORT TRIP HERE IN TOWN AND IS UNABLE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK. THE SHIFTER INDICATOR IS STUCK IN REVERSE. THIS IS REMINISCENT OF THE ORIGINAL RECALL I BELIEVE IN 2019 REQUIRING A BUSHING ON THE TRANSMISSION CABLE.
I am unable to remove my key after it is in park. I have the unplug my negative terminal to get the key to come out.
I have multiple recall notices on my Dodge Dart. I have contacted Mopar who referred me to a local dodge dealership. I have contacted the dealership several times. Each time they communicate they will look for where to get the repair part(s) from and contact me back. They have never called back, not any of the dealerships I have contacted. I don't know who I need to contact, and I fear for safety for myself and anyone around my vehicle due to the nature of the recalls. I'm unsure how to proceed moving forward as there seems to be a runaround going on and my car repairs still have yet to be completed or even scheduled.
Car will not shut off while in park position.
I had a recall on this vehicle, cable/bushing broke on shifter connecting to transmission, shifter does not work stays in park. Recall was repaired 12/2019. This issue has happened again, vehicle not driving. Called dodge dealer they say they are not fixing again, recall only covered for 2 years.
Bcm module is faulty.

Vehicle VIN [XXX] transmissions shift cable bushing issue. It's broken now. Under a recall. Took vehicle to Bob Moore Dodge in OKC 09/07/2024. They acknowledge the VIN is under recall. The part is broken today. But the part is not available. Per Bob Moore Dodge the part is not available in OKC, or anywhere in the US and may never be available. The y suggested I try going to another Dodge Dealer in town - 20 miles away, David Stanley Dodge, but even then, they admit David Stanley Dodge does not have the part. And they admit the vehicle may not be safe to drive. Mopar site [XXX] clearly shows the parts are available. So I think there is an issue here. Bob Moore Dodge in OKC just does not want to mess with fixing this issue? Or is the Mopar site wrong? So it's a Dodge vehicle. Broken down now. Transmission shift cable no longer attached to the transmission. Recall on this exact issue. I'm told it's not going to be fixed today, tomorrow and perhaps never. Bob Moore Dodge in OKC contact is Aarron -844-710-0566. 7420 NW Expy in OKC. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I got the email and the postcard in the mail stating there was a U90 recall for my car. That was over a year ago. I called Betten-Baker in Lowell, MI. they put me on a "list" and said they'd call me, haven't heard from them, it's been 10 months. This is a billion dollar company, why is it taking so long to get this problem fixed? I would really like an answer please. Thank you
I have a few problems to be addressed because this car have a real safety issue. One issue been happening was car sometimes doesn’t start. This problem maybe stalling starting may delay in cases of personally emergency’s. Second, I got a recall letter having emissions issues? During this recall letter I receive my inspection sticker was due, then I got a rejected sticker because it did failed emissions as noticed. I tried getting issue resolve at few of the dodge dealers nearby 3 places that’s the closest which were like almost an hour away, but there were a backlog of part not available? Since those two issues I had and having time to try getting these recalls and issue resolved, dealer said not much of an issue and couldn’t find much issues? Told the dealer I had recall and starter issues also with no check engine light on. The dealer did a diagnose on the car but couldn’t find actual problem but wanted to charge me on so much other things like spark plugs change before they can find the actual issue. I paid for the diagnose about 200+ out of pocket. Came to find out they diagnosed but now check engine light is ON now and I looked under hood myself found they didn’t reconnect the engine coil to spark plug, maybe check and forget to reconnect? I reconnected myself and then no check engine lights. I had to check myself why can’t I start and then check fuse box under hood, found relay was damaged, shorted out reason why car had issues starting. This is after I changed the battery which was problem wasn’t the reason couldn’t start. I did my research on this deeply cause now I have a much bigger issue, which I was losing my brake lines. I almost got into an accident but luckily still have E-brakes. I believe it’s the brake line front driver started leaking now. On top of brake issue, no brake lights came on still.I checked for any recalls or any updates and found there were the same or typical issues? I did checked my car Vin # and it said “0 unrepaired on my vehicle”?
When I try to change the gear it says gear is not available and it blinks it says transmission service
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V293000 (Power Train). The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the vehicle was repaired under the recall. The contact stated that 3 weeks after the recall repair was performed; the vehicle failed to shift into park(P). The vehicle was towed to the dealer and was diagnosed with shifter cable failure. The dealer informed the contact that the repair would be out-of-pocket to replace the shifter cable. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that it seemed as if the vehicle had not been repaired by the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 179,000.
After parking, I try to put the car into park and it will not go all the way to park. The key fob will not come out of the ignition, so the battery is still being used with the dashboard lights on. No alert or alarm lights show an issue. This has occurred MANY times. Finally, after waiting from 5-45 minutes, you can hear a click in the front area (gear area) and then I can turn the switch completely to off and remove the Key fob. I went to a repair shop and they scanned for problems/codes on the reader. But nothing shows up. Thinking it may be the fob itself, I had the locksmith come and replace the fob and program it. It still continues to be an issue. Not every time I drive, but enough that it has been a safety concern as well if I’m away from home. There have also been many times that after cranking the car, disengaging the emergency brake and then placing it in reverse, the car tries to go into reverse direction like the gas pedal is being pressed and if my foot isn’t on the brake, it will quickly back up without even touching the gas pedal.?? But I do have my foot applied to the brake pedal. I’m unsure if this is related to the recall for the brake cable thing that’s in effect now (without a remedy and awaiting notification from Dodge for repair). I do however feel that it is a safety issue. As it is an ongoing problem.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that while attempting to park the vehicle in the driveway, the gear shifter was shifted into park(P), but the vehicle failed to respond and started reversing. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact shifted into drive(D); however, the vehicle failed to respond and made an abnormal grinding sound. The contact then shifted into park(P); however, the vehicle started reversing. The contact stated that the parking brake was engaged, and the vehicle responded as needed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
I purchased a 2014 Dodge Dart from this business on 08/10/2019. I drove the vehicle for only 1.5 years and then garaged it to give to my daughter later. I put only 20,000 miles on the vehicle. There were several issues during the short time that I had the vehicle. The tire pressure warning went on, and the clutch would stick to the floor. I had the pressure warning 'fixed' at Chrysler World only to have the same malfunction within a week. The clutch issue was due to a recall that I didn't qualify for as I did not purchase the vehicle new from the original dealership. I gave the vehicle to my daughter on 12/18/2023 and the clutch and transmission went out causing her to stop in the middle of the highway. I paid $105 to have the vehicle towed to my local Dodge dealership. The local dealership informed me that the clutch and transmission would need to be replaced for the amount of about $6100. Along with some other recall work on the computer and cat converter which would be free to me. I then emailed and called Chrysler World on 01/02/2024 to see if they would assist with the repair as I felt that this particular vehicle was totally flawed. The salesman advised he would call back on 01/03/24. That would work as I advised my local dealer that I would let them know within a day if they should continue and perform the maintenance. I did not hear from Chrysler World so I did ok the work which is underway. I did receive a call from Chrysler World on 01/08/24. Long after I would have had to let the local dealership know about continuing with the repairs. Chrysler World Indicated that they could not help in any way as it had been too long since the purchase.
While driving to town, going approximately 35-40 mph, I went to slow down and pressed the brakes and the brake pedal went to the floor. To stop, I had to engage the Emergency Brake. I was almost hit by another vehicle and had to jump the curb to avoid collision and potential injury to myself and my family. This incident was very traumatic and potentially fatal to me and my family. I started checking on the recalls, and investigations, complaints for my 2014 Dodge Dart SD. I found other people had made complaints to you for the same issue. Total brake failure. At this time I have not had my car towed to the dealership for inspection and repairs. But I will update you on the details and provide you with the inspection report from the dealership as soon as they complete the inspection. There were no signs that the brakes were not working properly, no lights, no alarms , nothing. Only a pedal that went completely to the floor of my vehicle, causing immediate panic and confusion as to what was happening. It took a moment to realize that the brakes were on the floor and not engaging while oncoming traffic through the traffic light barely missed me. The parking lot that I was attempting to turn into luckily had no one pulling out or there would most certainly have been a collision between two or more vehicles. I used the emergency brake to get the vehicle stopped so that I didn’t crash into the storefront. Myself and my son were traumatized when we realized that how lucky we were to have avoided a potential life altering injury or death for ourselves or others.
As I read the above comments/complaints on the 2014 Dodge Dart, I have realized that we all are having the same issues with the recall, the car not engaging in park, and the Keyfob not working properly where it takes from 5-30 minutes to turn the car off because it is still in the acc mode. Now the car has started yet ANOTHER problem that it doesn’t want to start. I paid for a tow to the repair shop and they checked everything out and could find absolutely nothing wrong, no codes showing up, nothing. I had bought a new battery, was about to replace the ignition switch and/or starter but the shop had experience with Dodge 2014 before and the same issues with no apparent issues?? I did pay for another key and fob which wasted $200 because even afterwards the fob wouldn’t release due to the car not going into the park position 100% and I’m still having all these problems. It is definitely a safety issue and we all are left here driving this piece of junk that the manufacturer doesn’t seem to have any answer or as they say “remedy” for the issue. And that’s another thing- we are having ISSUES not an issue. This problem has more involved than the recall and for the amount of people that have submitted a complaint should be an eye opener for the manufacturer - because most people don’t even report it because they don’t know to and the service department is going to get the money! There is and has been something going on with the entire braking, parking, transmission, cable, the last recall my car I was told wasn’t affected however the brakes went out totally without any warning or problem before hand. Said there was fluid or something that messed it up and it cost me $2000 to repair it when the exact issue was going on with the dodge dart 2013-2014 but of course MY CAR was not in that recall even though it had the same problem as the cats which were affected by the recall. I’ll never never purchase another Dodge and would advise anyone else not to purchase one.

The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle suddenly shifted into neutral. The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to shift back into drive. The contact also stated that the vehicle began to overheat and displayed a message to not start the engine. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed failures with the transmission control module, the PCM, and the catalytic converter. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V542000 (Power Train) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 123,000.
Last Thursday, August 3rd, I reversed my car out of my garage. Upon putting it in Drive, the engine light came on as well as the PRND lights illuminated red. As I was driving, I noticed my car felt sluggish to my destination, but I did make it. When I parked, I noticed how jerky the car was when shifting from drive to park. After my appointment, the red PRND lights were gone, with the engine light still on. I had another appointment to get new tires, and the car ran fine this time, except engine light still on. Once my new tires were on, engine light also no longer lit. I took my car to get it diagnosed. It gave out 3 codes; po705-00, p1c86-92, and B1578-2B with the last code indicating problems with my antenna. I checked it, and it appears to be broken in 2 areas. The first code po705-00 indicates failure of the transmission control module; which is strange. There was a related recall in 2019, in which I did take my vehicle into a dealership, and it was supposed to have been taken care of. The code p1c86-92 has to do with the PRNDL Display Circuit Current Out Of Range. I now do not feel safe driving my car, and the dealerships can’t get me in to look at my car, so I’ve been calling all over the area to mechanics that specialize in transmission issues. I can’t in until Sept 6th, and that’s just for another diagnosis BEFORE ordering parts and giving me a quote. When I first had these issues, I began researching the codes. It seems that there are a LOT of people with Dodge Darts having these exact same issues, but no recall has been issued as of yet. Please take care of this. Mechanics and dealerships are way overbooked, some are no longer taking jobs because they’re so backed up, and people like myself with no other vehicle will not have transportation. And I live in a rural community. Getting a recall on these transmission issues would be really helpful, as like I stated, many are having these exact problems. Thank you!
Car was towed into Dave's Corner Auto Care [XXX] . Customer complaint, had lost brake s ,pedel went all the way down to the floor. We found both front brake hose appeared to have ruptured with a parel split in both hoses close to the crimp of the hoses at the holder bracket area .144,751 miles INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
In 2019 dodge had a shift cable bushing recall. I had it fixed in 2021 after owning the car for a few months (recall V34) . At this time, 2 years later, I’m experiencing the same problems that would be present with a faulty shift cable bushing which is a major safety concern. My car says it’s not in park when the shifter is indeed in park.
Driving down the highway my clutch started sticking, I was able to get it to keep driving at the time as it was unsafe and I was on 95 traveling south. My vehicle was looked at confirmed good and out of no where it entirely went, I then went ro a shop that refused to contact me napleton dodge in Florida while having my car in possession. Due to this entire out of no where no signs of issue on top of the company having ny car for a week and refusing to give me answers so I could try ro figure out ny car. My entire family was at risk as we were lucky to even make it safely to our location.
I've had 0 signs of clutch issues in my 2014 dart. All of a sudden. It went. A peice has some how out of no where just fell off resulting in barely able to move it. This went while on the highway out of no where while.driving.
i have taken this car 5 times in the last 6 momths for recalls and the car is still not 100% it keeps telling me that brake safety system needs to be fix, dealer can not help with this matter. the mechanic told me that thise cars were defected and more than likely it will never get fix to 100% again. i need help with this matter as my som almost killed himself driving it like that.
Actuator in the engine making the valve stuck and not drivable, causes shaking, very poor acceleration, won’t shift, this started last summer, engine light bringing up actuator code
There is oil coming from the brake booster vacuum pump into the brake booster. Caused the brake booster to fail. The recall stops in January but I think it should be extended
Parking Brake does not release caliper. Fault is in the caliper. The arm that the parking brake cable pulls does not return to the free position. I have replace 3 calipers on each side of the vehicle for the same issue. My wife had a 2015 Dodge Dart GT, I replaced 2 on hers before we sold it.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and attempting to drive, the transmission failed to shift as needed. The contact stated that the shift lever failed to register the intended gear on the gear shift selector. The contact stated that the gear selector only selected neutral or park correctly. The contact stated that the transmission failed to select or register the correct gear. The failure recurred intermittently. The contact called the dealer and confirmed that the failure was like NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V293000 (Power Train) however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 123,427.
No any lock brakes, a b s lights on brake lights on traction control lights on and no cruise control
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact stated while driving at approximately 40 MPH, the trunk opened independently. The contact stated that the failure had also occurred after starting the vehicle and shifting to drive(D) or reverse(R). The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that there was an abnormal sound coming from the trunk door latch mechanism. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed however, the mechanic could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 59,000.
I had the V34 recall done on 1-2-2020 and now for the last 2 weeks 9-12 through 9-22-2022 my vehicle will not go into park properly. I am scared it will roll into a crash. I transport my grandchildren in this vehicle and I’m scared for their safety. Does this need another recall? I’m scared to drive this vehicle. I only have 45135 original miles on this vehicle! Is this vehicle a lemon?? I have had all recalls performed on this vehicle. Please let me know what is going to happen with this issue. Thank you in advance.
less than 2 years after purchasing this vehicle brand new my car started consuming oil and actually caused my car to die in the middle of the road. Chrysler ended up completely replacing my engine due to scoring found in the pistons. In the last year I have done another oil consumption and feel just under the threshold of what Chrysler deems "bad enough". They did an update and it has not been a problem since. In the past few months I have been having issues with my car in park not releasing my key. My car will be in park and I can turn it back 1 notch and it gets stuck in the ACC position. Turns out my shifter cable was damaged and I have replaced that with a $500+ repair. Well unfortunately it didn't completely solve my problem and I will still occasionally have the issue and now they are stating I need to completely replace my shifter and knob assembly. The repairs don't seem to stop...
When driving vehicle at 40+ mph and making a turn the vehicle then stalls, loosing power and the transmission will not resume acceleration after turn is completed. We had to pull the vehicle off the road and out of traffic because of power loss. The vehicle check engine light was illuminated prior to experiencing problem. A dealership in Oklahoma City, OK confirmed a transmission malfunction code.
When trying to park the car it doesn’t necessarily allow you to turn the car off without moving the shifter around until the car is satisfied and allows you to finally shut down. Also the radio seems to just shut off and on once and awhile.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that when the vehicle was purchased, the driver’s side window failed to function as intended. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the traction control warning light illuminated and, on another occasion, the vehicle failed to turn off as intended. The battery cables were disconnected, and the battery was removed from the vehicle. An unknown message about the electrical system was displayed. In addition, the RPM revved high while the vehicle was idling or being driven. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while the vehicle was idling, there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, oil stains were found on the ground underneath the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. In addition, the gas cap lever failed to function as intended. The contact had to pull the panel on the driver's side door to manually use the button inside the panel to open the fuel filler door. The vehicle was taken to the private dealer where the vehicle was purchased for an inspection; however, the vehicle was not inspected or diagnosed. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The contact related some of the failures to Manufacturer Recall Number: U90 (Catalyst Efficiency). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 114,367.
1. Unknown, but podsibly the following: shifter mechanism, transmission linkage, and/or some other mechanism 2. The key is not releasing upon parking, this happens in dangerous areas and in compromising locations that have put my life at risk. I was unable to leave my car and a man with a knife approached me while I was facing this issue. It has happened several time and has happened another time with my husband also in the car and and a mentally ill man approached us as we tried to wait for the key to release. It is inconsistent and can take 0 seconds to 1 hour to release. 3. I showed the dealership near me during my recall repairs, and it happened once with them, but I'm unsure if they documented it. 4. The mechanism(s)/part(s) involved are not known, but the recent recall repair I had done involved a transmission bushing replacement. 5. It has not been inspected by any of the types of people stated, as I'm unsure how to even begin to have this checked out without it being an undue burden. This appears to be a massive issue with these vehicles, as there are many videos and forums online discussing the issue and no one has a consistent fix. Some say it's a plastic piece that must press a button to release the key. Some say it is a transmission linkage issue. No one has a universal answer for the same issue. 6. No signals, signs, or lights have ever appeared for this issue. It began in 2017 and I have had dozens of people look at it with no permanent solution. Today was the longest though, it took a fill hour to release the key.
When I put my vehicle in park, the system doesn’t register that it’s in park and I cannot take out the key. It will show on the gear shift and the dash that my vehicle is in park but internally it doesn’t register.
When placed into park the car does not register it's in park and therefore does not want to shut off. It can take up to 15 minutes to get it off. Seems dangerous since it keeps running and it starts to rev the engine.
Unknown....transmission fluid reservoir was not holding the fluid and leaking it out and I didn't know of this til my car all of a sudden would not go as I pressed on the gas and then it jerk out of nowhere and it sped up all on its own and I almost rear ended the vehicle in front of me but I steered to side of road and it was still reving up and then stalled and I had no power steering power and brakes were hard to use. There was no pressure warning signs this car was running perfectly fine before this happened. No low fluid notification no check engine light or anything.
