CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF A PUBLIC STREET SEVERAL TIMES AND WOULDN'T START AT TIMES BEFORE IT FINALLY JUST LEFT ME STRANDED. DURING THESE TIMES THERE WAS NO ERROR ON THE SCREEN LETTING ME KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS SO I JUST KEPT TRYING TO DRIVE IT. THEN AFTER AWHILE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON A FEW TIMES BUT IT WAS AT RANDOM TIMES AND DID NOT STAY ON. THE CAR ONLY HAS 18000 MILES AND I'VE ONLY HAD IT FOR 2 YEARS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY BUT DID NOT CHECK TO SEE WHAT WAS CAUSING THE BATTERY TO DIE SO QUICK. THEY JUST TOLD ME THAT I DON'T DRIVE IT ENOUGH AND THAT I STOP AND START IT TOO MUCH BECAUSE I WORK TOO CLOSE TO HOME... (THIS IS NOT MY FIRST CAR AND THAT'S NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE). THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAD THIS CAR SERVICED. THE ENTIRE FIRST YEAR I KEPT GETTING AN ERROR THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS TOO LOW AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS JUST AN ISSUE WITH THE COMPUTER SYSTEM BUT I HAD TO REPLACE THE TIRES RIGHT AWAY ON A BRAND NEW CAR. SO IT'S ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH THE TIRES/WHEELS ON A BRAND NEW CAR. PEOPLE BUY NEW CARS TO AVOID THESE PROBLEMS!
I HAVE HAD 2 TIRES WITHSIDEWALL BLOWOUTS OF THE KUHMO SOLUS KH 25/ 205/55/R16 TIRES THAT CAME ON MY (NEW FROM THE DEALERSHIP) 2014DODGE DART. THE FIRST AT UNKNOWN MILES. WAS AS I WAS ACCELERATING FROM A STOP SIGN. THE SECOND AT 30,286 MILES. THE SECOND BLOWOUT WAS AFTER THE CAR WAS PARKED FOR A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME, SOUNDED LIKE A SHOTGUN BLAST AND BLEW A HOLE IN THE SKIRTING ON MY HOUSE. OTHER TIRES FROM THE SOLUS KH25 SERIES HAVE BEEN RECALLED WITH THE SAME SIDEWALL PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DART EQUIPPED WITH KUMHO SOLUS KH25 TIRES, SIZE: 225/45R17. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE TIRES BEGAN TO VIBRATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE BELT FAILED, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT, AND THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE DEVELOPED A BLISTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,796 AND THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
I WAS DRIVING IN MY 2014 DODGE DART THAT WAS PURCHASED IN JUNE OF 2014 AND I WENT OVER A POTHOLE IN THE ROAD BY MY HOUSE. THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR LIGHT CAME ON AND SAID THE TIRE HAD 10 POUNDS OF PRESSURE IN IT. I THOUGHT THE POTHOLE BLEW THE TIRE. I GOT THE CAR HOME AND TOOK THE WEEK OFF TO BRING TO THE TIRE SHOP AND THAT IS WHEN I NOTICED THE WHEEL HAD BEEN DAMAGED. IT IS AN ALUMINUM ALLOY WHEEL THAT IS 6 MONTHS OLD AND HAS LESS THAN 4000 MILES ON IT. I BELIEVE THERE COULD POSSIBLY BE A DEFECT WITH THE ALUMINUM USED TO MANUFACTURE THE WHEEL. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE POTHOLE AND THE WHEEL AND I STILL HAVE THE WHEEL. *TR
BOUGHT NEW CAR, WAS DRIVING IT HOME OFF THE LOT AND WITHIN 10 MILES FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE COMPLETELY BLEW OUT ON HIGHWAY DRIVING 65 MPH. TREAD WAS COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM SIDEWALL. DEALER REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. CAR WAS BRAND NEW LESS THAN 130 MILES ON ODOMETER. *TR

WAS REPLACED OUT OF POCKET AFTER TWO CHRYSLER DEALERSHIPS SAID CHRYSLER WOULD NOT COVER THE TIRE NO MATTER WHAT. I STILL HAVE THE DEFECTIVE TIRE AND THE DOT NUMBERS IF REQUESTED. IT WAS A KUMHO SOLUS 225/55/17. *TR

AS A RESULT, THE RIM PREMATURELY FRACTURED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE AND WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
HIT A VERY SMALL ROCK, APPROXIMATELY THE SIZE OF TWO GOLF BALLS, GOING ABOUT 43 MPH. MY KUMHO SOLUS KH25 TIRE OF MY 2014 DODGE DART BLEW OUT UPON IMPACT WITH THIS VERY SMALL ROCK. CAUSED A BLOWOUT ON THE SIDEWALL OF THE TIRE. I FEEL LIKE THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH TO CAUSE A BLOWOUT. I FEEL UNSAFE ON THE ROADS WITH THESE TIRES THAT DODGE HAS PUT ON THE VEHICLE. I ONLY HAVE 1400'MILES ON THE CAR. OBVIOUSLY I WILL HAVE TO REPLACE MY TIRE AND I FEEL LIKE THESE TIRES AREN'T VERY SAFE. *TR
