MY CAR SWITCHES GEARS WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION. IT ALSO TAKES A LONG TIME FOR THE KEY TO BE RELEASED FROM THE IGNITION WHEN THE CAR IS IN PARK. A GLITCH IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CAUSES MY LIGHTS TO GO DIM OR COMPLETELY TURN OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING.
WHEN THE CAR IS PUT INTO REVERSE THERE IS A CLICKING SOUND
TAKATA RECALL: WHILE I WAS LEAVING WORK FOR BREAK, IT STARTED TO POUR DOWN RAINING SO I DECIDED TO PULL INTO A DRIVEWAY AND TURN AROUND BUT MY CAR WOULDN'T GO IN REVERSE, AFTER SO MANY ATTEMPTS OF TRYING I TRIED TO GET IT TO GO IN PARK AND WHEN I DID THE CAR KEPT MOVING TOWARD THE STREET OFF THE SIDE WALK. SO SINCE IT WAS STILL ABLE TO DRIVE I PULLED OUT OFF THE CURB AND WENT BACK TO WORK AND TRIED GETTING IT TO STOP BUT IT KEPT MOVING SO I TURNED THE CAR OFF. AFTER THAT I WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO START MY CAR AND MY KEY REMOTE WAS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. COWORKERS CAME TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND TOLD ME THERE'S A RECALL WHEN THEY GOOGLED IT. THE PEOPLE I'VE BEEN TALKING TO HAVE BEEN NO HELP AND I'VE BEEN WITHOUT MY CAR OR ANY ASSISTANCE FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH.
TRANSMISSION SHIFT IS STUCK. WOULDN'T GO TO DRIVE, STUCK IN NEUTRAL. I PUSHED IT BACK INTI DRIVEWAY. CAN'T PUT IN PARK. HAD TO DISCONNECT BATTERY. SPEEDOMETER IS NOT WORKING.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
PROBLEMS WITH CLUTCH STICKING TO THE FLOOR WHEN TRYING TO START THE CAR. HAD IT LOOKED AT AND WAS TOLD IT IS A BAD MASTER CYLINDER.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT NORMAL SPEED THROUGH THE CITY, I HAD TO MAKE A SUDDEN STOP TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. I IMMEDIATELY HEARD AN AIR RELEASE AND THE BRAKE BECAME VERY STIFF AND NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP THE CAR. NOW, I HAVE TO USE BRUTE FOOT FORCE TO STOP THE CAR. I WAS ONLY A FEW BLOCKS FROM AN EXPRESS OIL CHANGE & TIRE ENGINEER ON 5700 SANDERSON RD NW, HUNTSVILLE, AL. MY VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY A CERTIFIED MECHANIC. IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MECHANIC DID NOT SEEM SURPRISED BY THE FINDING. THAT ALERTED ME THAT THIS IS A SYSTEMIC PROBLEM FOR THE DODGE DART. AFTER READING OTHER BRAKE COMPLAINTS ON THIS WEBSITE, I DECIDED TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE REPAIR WILL COST ME NEARLY $650 FOR A FAIRLY NEW VEHICLE WITH LOW MILES.

I PULLED UP TO MY JOB AND PLACED MY CAR INTO PARK. I FELT MY CAR START TO COAST BACKWARDS SO I PLACED MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PLACED MY CAR IN WHAT IT FELT WAS REVERSE AND BACK INTO PARK. I NOTICED WHEN I CHANGED SHIFTS THE LIGHTS ON THE SHIFT WERE NOT CHANGING AND IT FELT LIKE MY SHIFT HANDLE WASNT ATTACHED TO ANYTHING. I CONTACT DODGE DEALERSHIP IN REGARDS OF RECALL NUMBER V34 (NHTSA 19V-293) WAS ADVISED THAT THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE BUT DODGE HAS NOT MADE PARTS WITH RECALL NUMBERS LOCATED ON THEM. THE TWO LOCATIONS I HAVE CALLED AND SPOKE WITH BOTH ADVISED THEY ARE UNSURE WHEN THE PARTS WILL COME, BUT I HAVE THE OPTION TO PAY OUT OF POCKET ($500) AND GET REIMBURSED AT A LATER TIME.
AFTER VEHICLE HASN'T BEEN DRIVE. FOR FEW HOURS, IT WILL STALL WHILE IN MOTION. VEHICLE WILL BE IN MOTION THE. SHUT OFF AFTER RELEASING THE ACCELERATOR, THIS AFFECTS THE VEHICLE STEERING ALSO. RESTARTING THE VEHICLE BY TURNING THE KEY WHILE IN PARK AND THE VEHICLE BEGINS TO CYCLE THE STARTER AND EVENTUALLY START BACK UP AFTER THE STARTER CRANKING. WHILE THE BATTERY LIGHT IS ON. BATTERY HAS BEEN CHECKED AND NO ISSUES THERE. AFTER RESEARCH, THIS TENDS TO BE AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THESE MODELS.

WHILE DRIVING I TRIED TO DEPRESS MY BRAKES AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY HARD TO DEPRESS. I ALMOST SLAMMED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. I HAVE A MESSAGE ON MY DASH TO SERVICE ELECTRONIC BRAKING SYSTEM. WHILE DOING SOME RESEARCH I NOTICE THIS IS A ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THE DODGE DART. I NOTICED RECALLS ON PREVIOUS YEAR MODELS BUT NOT ON THE 2015 MODEL. GARAGE WANTS ALMOST $1000 TO REPAIR. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL GET RESOLVED WITH A RECALL SOON BEFORE SOMEBODY DIES.

FROM 5MPH - 70MPH THE SENOR FOR THE TPMS SENSOR IS BANGING AROUND IN MY TIRE HITTING THE RIM, MAKING A LOUD NOISE, I AM UNABLE TO KNOW IF ALL TIRES ARE INFLATED CORRECTLY, BECAUSE THE TPMS LIGHT IS ON. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 5 TIMES TO CORRECT THE MATTER AND IT STILL CONTINUES TO HAPPEN.

UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE SHIFT CABLE HAD DISCONNECTED FROM THE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DODGE COUNTRY (410 S. FORT HOOD ST, KILLEEN, TX) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFT CABLE WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V293000 (POWER TRAIN); HOWEVER, THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,300.
The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact stated while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the engine revved up to an abnormally high RPM. The check engine and TPMS warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that after shifting to park(P), the vehicle failed to turn off with the message “Shift to Park” displayed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.
I WAS LEAVING A VERY BUSY PARKING LOT AFTER SHOPPING, I PROCEEDED TO THE EXIT AND WENT TO STOP AT THE FOUR WAY. WHEN I PUSHED ON THE BRAKES THEY WHERE VERY HARD AND NOT STOPPING ME, THERE WAS A AIR SOUND COMING FROM THEM AND THE PEDAL STARTED PUSHING BACK AT ME. I CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS FLUID LEAKING OR IF MY RIMS HAD BRAKE FLUID, OF COURSE THERE WAS NOTHING AND THE FLUID CONTAINER WAS ALMOST FULL. I SEE THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHERS THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR YOUNG CHILD IN THE CAR AND PLENTY OF OTHER FAMILIES DRIVING ON THE ROADS.
SUSPENSION IS TOO EASILY ADJUSTED. THE LITTLEST BUMP WILL THROW OUT ALIGNMENT AND HAVE THE RECEIPTS TO PROVE. WHEELS BEND EASILY, SPECIFICALLY 18 INCH RIMS. ENGINE USED TOO MUCH OIL AND LEAVES YOUR CAR TO SHUT OFF AUTOMATICALLY WHICH IS ADDED AS THE ISSUE IS KNOW TO HAPPEN. I AM 2,500 MILES AWAY FROM AN OIL CHANGE AND I NEED TO ADD OIL BECAUSE THE CAR USES SO MUCH. THE ISSUE IS KNOW BY DODGE AND ONLINE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT IT.
I RECEIVED RECALL V34 NOTICE 5/25/19. IT SAYS THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION LINKAGE. IT WARNS YOU ABOUT GETTING OUT OF THE CAR WHEN IT STILL IS IN DRIVE, BUT DOESN'T TELL YOU HOW TO TURN THE CAR OFF IF THE LINKAGE FAILS IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. THE NOTICE SAYS ENGAGE THE PARKING BRAKE, BUT YOU STILL CAN'T TURN THE ENGINE OFF. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY TRIED AND COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT. I CALLED THE CHRYSLER 1-800-853-1403 NUMBER AND THEY WERE NO HELP!!!!! THEY KEEP SAYING JUST TURN THE KEY OFF. I EXPLAINED IT WAS A PUSH BUTTON START AND THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF IT!!!!!! *DT *TR *DT *DT CONSUMER WAS TOLD PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE NEXT MONTH.*JB
SHIFTER CABLE CAME APART AGAIN THIS HAS BEEN OUR THIRD TIME DEALING WITH THIS SITUATION. I WAS IN THE PARKING LOT AND TRIED TO REVERSE BUT THE SHIFTER WOULDN'T MOVE TO REVERSE SO IT JUST STAYED ON PARK AND THE NEXT WAS WORSE MY CAR SCATCHED THE SIDE OF THE WALL DUE TO THE SHIFTER GOING BAD. I DON'T THINK I SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEP DEALING A SITUATION THAT THE MAKERS ALREADY KNOWS ABOUT..
CAR WILL NOT SHIFT WHEN PUT FOOT ON GAS PEDAL BUT WILL REV. DASH WILL DIM WHEN THIS HAPPENS AND BLUETOOTH WILL SHUT OFF ALSO. USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP WHILE IT IS IDLING AND WHILE GOING 30MPH OR LESS. ONLY HAPPENS WHILE IN THE CITY. NO PROBLEM WHILE ON HIGHWAYS. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND NO MESSAGES ON THE DASH EITHER. THIS PROBLEM HAS NO PATTERN AND WILL HAPPEN RANDOMLY. THIS 2015 DODGE DART HAS AROUND 52,000 MILES ON IT. JUST STARTED HAPPENING ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES SINCE. A RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS CAR THAT SOUNDS SIMALAR, BUT THAT RECALL MENTIONED NOTHING ABOUT THE DASH DIMMING WHEN THIS HAPPENS OR THE BLUETOOTH CUTTING OUT. THE CAR WILL VIOLENTLY JERK BACK AND FORTH WHEN THIS HAPPENS. ALSO IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN DRIVING STRAIGHT OR MAKING A TURN. AND THIS CAR HAS ONLY HAD IT HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING ON FLAT ROADS, NO HILLS. WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS COMING ON WHEN THIS HAPPENS THERE ARE NO FAULT CODES EITHER. SO CAN'T DOCUMENT IT. TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE CAUSED VEHICLE TO SURGE FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING. CAR EVENTUALLY JUST STOPPED WORKING AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP, WHERE THEY ARE HAVING TROUBLE LOCATING THE EXACT CAUSE OF THE ELECTRICAL TROUBLE, BUT HAVE NARROWED DOWN TO THE TCM, ECM, AND/PCM. CAR ONLY HAS 70359 MILES ON IT, AND THE DEALERSHIP IS SAYING IT MAY NEED TO BE COMPLETELY REWIRED AND PROGRAMMED.

THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT TRANSMISSION SHOP WHO DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW COMPUTER MODULE NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 19V-293. THE SHIFTER CABLE BUSHING ON THE TRANSMISSION END OF THE SHIFTER CABLE WHICH CAN DETERIORATE AND BECOME DETACHED FROM THE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE CALLED THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM THAT MY WIFE WAS STUCK AND COULD NOT MOVE DO TO THIS RECALL. THE DEALERSHIP AND CHRYSLER HAVE SAID, THIS RECALL DOES NOT HAVE A FIX DATE I WAS TOLD BY CHRYSLER THAT OCTOBER WOULD BE THE DATE. MY WIFE IS IN FEAR FOR HERSELF AND OUR KIDS. DODGE HAS NOT OFFERED ANYTHING TO FIX THIS ISSUE. WE ARE TRAVELING IN 2 WEEKS AND NOW HAVE TO SPEND OUR VACATION MONEY TO RENT A RELIABLE CAR? THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN A COMPANY FIX AN ISSUE TO KEEP THEIR CUSTOMERS SAFE. THIS IS A LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN. IF YOU SEARCH ABOUT THIS ISSUE, THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE AND RECALL SINCE 2013? 6 YEARS CHRYSLER HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS AND YET REFUSE TO COMPENSATE THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH ANYTHING TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. THIS IS SICKENING TO ME. THE CAR WAS IN REVERSE AND CAME TO A STOP, SHE SHIFTED THE GEAR TO GO IN DRIVE AND NOTHING. THE GEAR SHIFTER WILL GO FORWARD AND BACKWARDS WITHOUT ENGAGING THE TRANSMISSION. AFTER FIGURING OUT ABOUT THE RECALL. WE HAD TO POP THE HOOD. PUT MY HAND BY THE ENGINE WHERE IT'S HOT, AND POP THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER BACK ONTO THE TRANSMISSION PLATE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. A THIRD DEGREE BURN WILL CAUSE A LAWSUIT.

EVERT 2 MINUTES THE MEDIA CONSOLE TURNS BRIGHT WHITE, THEN SHUTS OFF, THEN REBOOTS. WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT THE LIGHT FROM THE CONSOLE IS BLINDING. EVEN IF YOU TURN OFF THE SCREEN, IT WILL REBOOT EVERY 2 MINUTES. IT DOES THIS ALL THE TIME, PARKED, OR DRIVING.

IF ANY ACCELERATION IS ADDED CAR WILL REV AS IF IN NEUTRAL. THIS HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS 20-30% OF THE TIME AND APPEARS TO BE GETTING WORSE. WHEN BRAKING TO A STOP THE CLUTCH BURNS 20-30% OF THE TIME WHEN DOWN SHIFTING AND FILLS CAB WITH SMOKE. AT COMPLETE STOP ENTERED DRIVE AND LET OFF OF BRAKE. ENGINE ACCELERATED TO 3K RPM'S THEN GRINDED GEARS TRYING TO AUTOMATICALLY SHIFT INTO THE APPROPRIATE GEAR. AFTER GRINDING ABRUPTLY GRABBED GEAR AND FUNCTIONED AGAIN. ACCELERATION FROM COMPLETE STOP, CAR STALLS BEFORE FINDING GEAR.
MY CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AT ALMOST ANY SPEED; AT TIMES WHEN I HIT A HARD BUMP, OR MAKE HARD TURNS, AND EVEN WHEN IDLING AT TIMES AS WELL. RPMS SHOOT TO ZERO AND THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF LEAVING YOU ONLY ABLE TO STEER...I'VE HAD IT IN THE SHOP AT LEAST TWICE FOR THE ISSUE SINCE THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED AND EACH TIME WHATEVER IT IS SEEMS TO BE FIXED UNTIL A FEW WEEKS/MONTHS LATER WHEN IT ENDS UP HAPPENING AGAIN. THE LATEST TIME WAS 04/08/19 ON MY WAY TO WORK IN THE MORNING WHEN I WAS MERGING ONTO THE EXPRESSWAY; AT ABOUT 40MPH THE CAR STALLED AND THIS HAPPENED 3 MORE TIMES BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO WORK.
I FIRST STARTED EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR IN 2017 MY CAR WOULD OVERHEAT AND SHUT OFF ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I TOOK IT INTO A DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS MY BATTERY AFTER THAT I HAD THEM CHANGE THE BATTERY. AFTER MAYBE A DAY I WENT TO WORK AND THE CAR SHUT OFF ON ME AGAIN. I THEN GOT AN OIL CHANGE AND THE CAR WORKED GOOD FOR A FEW MONTHS UNTIL I CAME UPON THE PROBLEM AGAIN THE CAR SHUT OFF ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS THE OIL BECAUSE WHEN IT HAPPENS I CHANGE MY OIL AND THE CAR IS FINE AFTER. I CHANGED MY OIL RECENTLY AND MY CAR IS STILL EXPERIENCING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THE BATTERY LIGHT TURNS ON AND IT IS A HASSLE TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON. I HAVE READ A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ON PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE SAME CAR AS ME IT IS A BIG SAFETY HAZARD TO BE STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH MY CAR ESPECIALLY SINCE I KEEP UP WITH THE VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND IT ONLY HAS AROUND 40,000 MILES ON IT. *TR
