UPON FUELING THE VEHICLE A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF GAS WOULD SPEW OUT GETTING HANDS/CLOTHES/GROUND WET WITH GASOLINE. THIS HAPPENS AT ERRATIC TIMES, NEVER A RHYME OR REASON. LOOKED INTO THE PROBLEM WHEN IT FIRST OCCURRED AND SAW NO RECALL INFORMATION. NOW VEHICLE IS READING A P0430 CODE, O2 SENSORS.
DRIVING ON THE NJ TURNPIKE THE ENGINE LIGHT SUDDENLY CAME ON AND THEN THE ENGINE LOCKED UP. THE TRUCK IS REGULARLY MAINTAINED AND HAS NOT HAD ANY ACCIDENTS PRIOR TO THIS. THE CAR IS NOT EVEN 7 FULL YEARS OF AGE YET. CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY REFUSE TO HELP OUT DUE TO AGE AND MILES. HOW DOES A CAR IN GREAT RUNNING CONDITION JUST STALL AND DIE WHILE DRIVING? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, SMOKE EMITTED FROM THE FROM THE FRONT END OF THE CABIN. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INSURANCE ADJUSTER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEATBELT TENSION CARTRIDGE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
ENGINE QUIT. SIMILAR I THINK TO LIKE CAR THAT I HAVE RECALL ON FOR TIPM NHTSA24V-530 SEEMS AWFUL COINCIDENTAL. MULTIPLE OCCURRENCES BUT ALL WHEN STOPPED ON THIS CAR. PERHAPS SAME PART USED IN PRIOR YEAR THAT IS BEING RECALLED FOR 2011. *TR
GAS OVER FLOWED TWICE WHEN FILLING TANK. THOUGHT IT WAS A ONE TIME THING BUT I CAN NO LONGERFILL MY TANK FOR FEAR OF IT OVERFLOWING. *TR
NONE OF THE SEAT BELTS WILL WORK IN THE AUTOMATIC LOCKING MODE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A CHILD SEAT. *TR
DRIVING ON US1 IN THE FLORIDA KEYS, KEY LARGO. PULLED INTO TURNING LANE, APPLIED BRAKES, NOTHING HAPPENED, CAR CONTINUED AT REGULAR SPEED, KEPT APPLYING BRAKES WITHOUT RESPONSE UNTIL THE CAR COLLIDED AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH INTO A WHITE SUBURBAN VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. TRIED TO GET ATTENTION FROM DODGE AND THE DEALER THAT REPLACED THE ABS SYSTEM THE MONTH PRIOR WITHOUT SUCCESS. I SUFFERED MULTIPLE HERNIATED DISCS IN MY CERVICAL. *JS
ON I-25 GOING NORTH THE INSTRUMENT PANEL BEEPED THEN SHOWED ALL RED INDICATOR LIGHTS ON. BEEPING WAS CONTINUAL EVERY 10 SECONDS. ALL GAGES WENT TO ZERO: SPEEDOMETER RPM, GAS, TEMP ETC... ALSO R/LEFT TURN INDICATORS DID NOT FUNCTION; NOR THE WIPER BLADES [FRONT OR REAR]. VEHICLE COULD BE DRIVEN [CAUTIOUSLY] AS HEAD & REAR LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS FUNCTIONED. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE AIR BAG RELEASE MECHANISM WAS AFFECTED. WE HAD 250 MILES TO GO, HALF IN DAYLIGHT. VERY DIFFICULT TO MERGE FROM I25 TO I40 DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC WITHOUT TURN INDICATORS. *JS

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS FILLED, FUEL WOULD LEAK FROM THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 188,000.
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW IN 2007. I HAVE ONLY HAD MINOR PROBLEMS UNTIL THIS BEGAN. THE VEHICLE IDLE BEGAN FLUCTUATING WHILE SITTING STILL. IT WOULD REV TO 2000 RPMS AND DROP AND NEARLY STALL. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN REGULARLY, SO I WASN'T CONCERNED. THEN IT STALLED ON MY WIFE IN THE DRIVE THRU. I CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY AND REPLACED ALL SPARK PLUGS AND COIL PACKS AT AROUND 60000. THIS HAD LITTLE OR NO EFFECT. WE CONTINUED TO DRIVE FOR A FEW MONTHS AND THEN THIS PROBLEM BEGAN. MY WIFE CALLED AND STATED IT LOST POWER STEERING AND THROTTLE, BUT THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. SHE TURNED IT OFF AND RESTARTED AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. I THOUGHT SHE HAD MISTAKEN BECAUSE THE AC AND SOME GAUGES WILL OPERATE IF THE KEY IS ON BUT ENGINE IS OFF. THEN IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I WAS RUNNING 60 MPH AND IT CUT OUT. I LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND COULD HEAR THE ENGINE RUNNING, BUT HAD NO POWER AT THE ACCELERATOR. I SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL AND RESTARTED AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. IN THAT FEW SECONDS, I DROPPED TO 35 MPH. HAD THIS BEEN ON THE INTERSTATE, IT COULD HAVE BEEN TRAGIC. I CHECKED ONLINE BECAUSE I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS OTHER THAN A COMPUTER ISSUE AND FOUND OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE. I WILL BE CALLING MY DEALER TO FIND A CAUSE. MY WIFE IS AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE NOW WITH OUR FOUR SONS IN THE CAR UNTIL THIS IS FIXED. I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND HER POINT. THERE IS NO WAY SHE WILL BE ABLE TO MUSCLE THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IF THIS HAPPENS TO HER. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL A FAMILY IS REAR ENDED ON THE INTERSTATE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE STALLS. IT'S VERY CONFUSING BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING, BUT NO POWER STEERING AND NO RESPONSE FROM THE ACCELERATOR. THIS VEHICLE WILL NOW BE SITTING IN MY GARAGE UNTIL A REMEDY IS FOUND. *TR
EXCESSIVE BODY RUST JUST BELOW THE GASOLINE FILLER TUBE (ON DRIVERS SIDE
FUEL OVERFLOWS FROM THE INLET WHEN FUELING THE VEHICLE. IF YOU ATTEMPT TO ACTUALLY FILL THE TANK (WHICH I ONLY GET 20 GALLONS INTO A 27 GALLON TANK EVEN WHEN THE LOW FUEL LIGHT COMES ON), THE FUEL WILL OVERFLOW OUT OF THE INLET AS SOON AS THE HANDLE CLICKS OFF. IT'S NOT A SMALL AMOUNT OF OVERFLOW EITHER, IT'S ENOUGH THAT THE FUEL ENDS UP DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND INTO A PUDDLE ON THE GROUND. THIS HAS CAUSED THE ONLY SURFACE RUST ON THE ENTIRE VEHICLE.
THIS VEHICLE SEEMS TO HAVE A KNOWN GAS TANK ISSUE. I CAN NOT FILL UP WITHOUT ABOUT A CUP OR SO OF GASOLINE SPITTING OUT OVER CAR AND GROUND. I DID SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND FOUND MANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME VEHICLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. DID SPEAK WITH LOCAL DODGE DEALER ABOUT IT, BUT THEY DENIED ANY FACTORY DEFECT. SEEMS LIKE THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE, ON SEVERAL YEARS OF THE DURANGO.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2007 DODGE DURANGO, THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL, WHEN APPLIED, WILL FLASH IN THE CAB AND ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE AS RIGHT. IT WILL MALFUNCTION FROM TIME TO TIME BY FLASHING BACK AND FORTH LEFT TO RIGHT. SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT WORK AT ALL. FOR AWHILE IT WILL WORK THEN THE TURN SIGNAL WILL START TO FLASH IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND PLACES MY FAMILY IN SERIOUS DANGER OF GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT. THE FUSES AND RELAYS ARE WORKING FINE. THE BULBS ARE FRESH AND NEW. THIS PROBLEM IS FROM ANOTHER FAILURE
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHEN YOU GO TO TAKE OFF THE DURANGO HAS NO POWER. GAS MILEAGE IS REALLY BAD HAD A COMPUTER HOOKED UP TO IT THE CODE SHOWED TRANS SHIFT SOLENOID NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. WANTED TO FIND OUT IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE SAME. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ALL WHEEL DRIVE WOULD ENGAGE INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSFER CASE AND SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY AND MY CAR BEGAN TO STOP AND SEVERAL INDICATOR LIGHTS CAME ON, ENGINE, ASB/BAS, AND TPS. THE CAR STOPPED AND I HAD TO MOVE IT INTO PARK AND RESTART. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST FW DAYS. USUALLY WHILE I AM DRIVING ON A NON HWY SURFACE. I CALLED AND ASKED ABOUT A RECALL TO THIS NUMBER 800-853-1403. I WAS THEN REFERRED TO THE NEAREST DEALER. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE ABS PUMP MOTOR CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BUT THE DEALER WAS UNSURE THAT THIS WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 55,119. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER OR LOCAL MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 167,000.
I TURNED ON MY RIGHT BLINKER AND MY LEFT BLINKER WAS ON INSTEAD. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. I TURN ONE BLINKER ON AND THE OPPOSITE BLINKER IS WHAT COME ON INSIDE AND OUT. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THERE SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL ON THIS. *TR
2007 DODGE DURANGO SLT 4X4, STALLING AND ENGINE FAILURE WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THE FIRST FEW TIMES THE ENGINE STALLED IT WOULD LOSE ALL POWER AND STOP IN THE INTERSECTION WITH LITTLE TO NO WAY OF CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE. ONCE THE VEHICLE STALLED AND SEVERAL MORE TIMES IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET SAFELY OUT OF THE ROAD THE ENGINE WOULD NO LONGER START. THE DEALERSHIP HAS HAD THE VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL DAYS WITH NO LUCK IN FINDING THE ISSUES. I ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM WHEN FILLING THE VEHICLE WITH GAS IT SHOOTS OUT OF THE TANK EVERYTIME IT IS FILLED UP. THIS STARTED AT APPROX 45K MILES. I WAS UNAWARE THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, SINCE IT IS A KNOW PROBLEM WITH DODGE IT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. *TR
BROUGHT TRUCK IN FOR ENGINE LIGHT ON & NO POWER ON MARCH 9, 2013...CLAIMED SPARK PLUGS PUT IN BY MANUFACTURER WERE 30,000 MILES PLUGS....WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE. WHILE DOING THE TUNE UP, MECHANIC NOTICED FLUID DRIPPING. POWER STEERING PUMP WAS LEAKING. PUT NEW PUMP IN (MARCH 12, 2013) WHICH SEEMED TO BE BAD. ORDERED ANOTHER PUMP (ARRIVED MARCH 15, 2013) WHICH WORKED BUT THE RACK IN PINION STEERING BLEW SEALS ON BOTH ENDS. ORDERED PART WHICH TOOK SEVERAL DAYS TO COME IN (HOPEFULLY MARCH 20, 2013). THE MECHANIC BELIEVES THE RACK IN PINION WAS NOT RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING. THIS WOULD ACCOUNT FOR THE FRONT TIRES WEARING QUICKLY & FUNNY. IT WOULD ALSO ACCOUNT FOR THE NOISE HEARD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT END WHEN HITTING BUMPS. BOTH THESE ISSUES WERE BROUGHT TO THE DEALERSHIPS ATTENTION PRIOR BUT NOTHING WAS DONE. CLAIMED THEY DIDN'T HEAR THE SOUND WHEN TEST DRIVING. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE RESOLVED TODAY MARCH 20, 2013. THIS IS ONE OF MANY MAJOR PROBLEMS WE HAVE HAD WITH THIS VEHICLE. AT LEAST WE WERE SMART & BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WHEN WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. WE NOW KNOW IF WE BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR A SIMPLE REPAIR, AN ENTIRE SYSTEM WILL BE REPLACED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE THIRD SEAT BEAT BECAME DRIPPED FROM WEAR AND TEAR OF THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE CONSTANTLY RETRACTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
EVERY TIME THAT I FILL THE FUEL TANK IT SPITS OUT ABOUT 1/4 OF A GALLON OF FUEL. IT IS VERY COSTLY AND VERY DANGEROUS. WE ARE A FAMILY OF 7 AND THIS IS OUR FAMILY CAR. HAVING THIS MUCH FUEL SPILL OUT IS A DANGER, NOT ONLY TO MY FAMILY BUT TO THE OTHERS AT THE GAS STATION. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF BY THE MANUFACTURER. *TR
I HAVE 2007 DODGE DURANGO WITH THE 5.7L HEMI. APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS AGO WE BEGAN HAVING ISSUES WHEN FUELING THE VEHICLE. WHEN FILLING THE TANK, THE FUEL NOZZLE WILL AUTOMATCIALLY SHUT OFF NORMALLY WHEN THE TANK IS FULL. HOWEVER, WHEN REMOVING THE PUMP NOZZLE GAS SPEWS BACK OUT OF THE FILLER NECK ALL OVER WHOMEVER IS FILLING THE VEHICLE OR ONTO THE GROUND. FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN THIS HAS BEEN AN ON GOING ISSUE WITH SEVERAL DODGE VEHICLES AND OF COURSE ALL AFTER THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. SEEMS LIKE YOU HAVE ENOUGH COMPLAINTS ABOUT TO FORCE A RECALL BUT CHOOSE NOT TO. WITH FUEL PRICES STILL AT AN ELEVATED LEVEL, THIS IS COSTING ME MONEY AS THERE IS WASTED FUEL ON THE GROUND. PLEASE FORCE DODGE TO ISSUE A RECALL. *TR
I JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND WENT TO FILL UP THE FUEL TANK. WHEN THE GAS STATION DISPENSER AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF, I GOT A LARGE SPRAY OF FUEL BACK OUT OF THE FILLER PIPE THAT SPRAYED OUT ON ME AND ALSO RAN DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. ACCORDING TO THE FUEL GAUGE, THE TANK WAS NOT COMPLETELY FULL WHEN IT DID THIS. I HAD A SMALL AMOUNT OF FUEL IN MY EYE AND HAD TO RINSE IT OUT. *TR
MY 2007 DURANGO HAS DEVELOPED A TURN SIGNAL PROBLEM WHERE WHEN THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL IS TRIGGERED, THE RIGHT SIGNAL ACTUALLY IS OPERATED INDICATED BY INSIDE AND OUTSIDE LIGHTS. THIS IS VERIFIED BY IRATE DRIVERS LETTING ME KNOW!! THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS! *TR
ANY TIME I GO TO THE GAS PUMP TO FILL UP FUEL SPILLS OUT OF THE TANK. I HAVE ASKED DODGE ABOUT THIS AND THEY SAY TO CHANGE THE FUEL CAP. I DON'T KNOW HOW THE FUEL CAP HAS TO DO WITH FILLING THE TANK. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS COVERING MYSELF KIDS AND HUSBAND IN GASOLINE. I NOW HAVE TO WATCH THE FUEL GAUGE WHILE IM FILLING UP AND LISTEN FOR THE TANK TO BE FULL. THIS IS A HAZARD AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED BY DODGE. *TR
WAS FILLING UP WITH FUEL WHEN AFTER ABOUT A GALLON THE AUTO SHUT OFF TURNED OFF AND A LARGE AMOUNT OF FUEL CAME SHOOTING OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE TANK WAS NEARLY EMPTY WHEN I BEGAN FUELING SO OVERFILLING ISN'T THE CAUSE. I NOTICED MANY PEOPLE HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES AND DODGE HAS DONE SOME RECALLS WITH REGARDS TO THIS. LOOKS LIKE MY VEHICLES VIN ISN'T COVERED UNDER THE RECALL AT THIS POINT. *TR
WHEN FILLING GAS TANK (TOPPING IT OFF) I'LL HEAR 1 CLICK AND THE GAS WILL INSTANTLY START SPEWING OUT. NORMALLY IT'LL RUN DOWN THE VEHICLE (WHICH HAS CAUSED PAINT DAMAGE/RUST). HOWEVER, LAST WEEK I WAS PUMPING GAS AND I RECEIVED ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING THAT IT WAS FULL SO THE GASOLINE STARTING BLOWING BACK AT ME. I WAS SATURATED FROM MY ARMS TO MY FEET IN GAS. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING, NOT TO MENTION EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, AND HUMILIATING. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE GONE BEFORE SOMETHING TRAGIC HAPPENS TO SOMEONE.
WHEN FUELING, THE FILLER TUBE SPITS OUT ALOT OF FUEL AFTER THE GUN SHUTS OFF. NO MATTER HOW SLOW YOU PUMP IT, YOU CAN'T STOP IT. CHRYSLER HAD A RECALL ON SOME MODELS, BUT NOT ALL. I THINK CHRYSLER SHOULD TAKE A SECOND LOOK AT THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS BURNED OR KILLED. THE AMOUNT OF FUEL IS PROBABLY AROUND 2 CUPS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO 4X4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH AND ATTEMPTING A TURN, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO RESPOND. THE FWD INDICATOR BEGAN TO ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY. THE GEAR LEVER WAS SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AND THEN DRIVE IN ORDER TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE TRANSFER CASE MOTOR WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVEN MONTHS AFTER THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO A FAULTY TRANSFER CASE ACTUATOR HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED BECAUSE THE PART NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR WAS ON BACKORDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,900.

WHEN, YOU GO INTO REVERSE AND, TURN YOUR WHEEL ALL THE WAY THE CAR LOCKS AND, YOU CAN'T MOVE UNLESS YOU TURN YOUR WHEEL A DIFFERENT WAY. IT ALSO DOES THIS IN FORWARD. WHEN FILLING TANK THE FUEL FILLER HOSE SPRAYS FUEL BACK EVERYWHERE. I AM SCARED TO FILL MY TANK UP AS IT IS A RISK THAT GAS GETS SPRAYED ALL OVER YOU. MY VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AT THE PUMP TURNED OFF. IN GOOGLING IT SEEMS MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
I PURCHASED MY DURANGO FEB 2012 AND 5 MONTHS LATER (AUG 2012) I HAVE ALREADY EXPERIANCING PROBLEMS. EVERY TIME I PUT GAS IN THE SUV; WHEN IT GETS CLOSE TO FULL, NO MATTER THE SPEED OF GAS TRAVEL, IT STARTS SPEWING OUT OF THE TANK. I AM ALSO HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I STARTED THE DURANGO AND NOTICED THE DASH LIGHTS DID NOT TURN ON. TRIED TURNING THE DIMMER SWITCH ALL THE WAY UP, STILL NOTHING HAPPENED. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS DID NOT EVEN TURN ON. I ALSO NOTICED THE SPEEDOMETER, GAS GAUGE, RPM GAUAGE OR THERMESTATE WAS NOT WORKING. THEN NOTICED THE HORN, WINDSHIELD WIPERS, BLINKERS, DIMMER SWITCH, HEAD LIGHTS, DOOR LOCKS, BUTTONS LOCATED ON THE STEERING WHEEL (I.E. CRUISE CONTROL, RADIO VOLUME AND CHANNEL BUTTONS AND HAZARD LIGHTS) WHERE NOT WORKING. WHEN ANY OF THE DOORS ARE OPEN, THE INTERIOR LIGHTS DO NOT TURN ON. THE COMPASS IS READING "NO BUS", WHICH MEANS IT IS NOT RECEAVING ANY INFORMATION FROM THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. NONE OF THE COMPUTER INFORMATION IS DESPLAYING EITHER; SUCH AS, THE COMPASS, MILAGE, DOOR ADJAR INDICATOR, ECT. I ALSO HAD THE DURANGO HOOKED TO A COMPUTER AND IT KEPT GIVING CODES FOR ITEMS NOT WORKING DUE TO NOT RECEIVING INFORMATION FROM THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. AFTER GETTING THIS INFORMATION, I STARTED DOING SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THE 2006 MODEL HAD A RECALL ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DUE TO THE SAME PROBLEMS MY 2007 MODEL IS EXPERIANCING. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE RECALL WAS PUT OUT AFTER THE MANUFACTER DATE OF MY VEHICLE. IN MY OPINION THE ELECTRICAL PANEL FOR THE 2007 DODGE DURANGO NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AS WELL. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE PART TO REPLACE AND AS A SINGLE MOTHER AND THIS VEHICLE AS OUR ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION, IT LEAVES US IN QUITE THE PREDICAMENT. DESIGN OF REAR SEAT BELT BUCKLES IN 2007 DODGE DURANGO ARE FAULTY AND EASILY BREAK, THUS PROVIDING NO SECURE/LOCKING FEATURE DURING IMPACT. I OWN A 2007 DODGE DURANGO AND HAVE JUST OVER 28K MILES ON IT. IT IS USED SPARINGLY DUE TO GAS PRICES. THE THIRD ROW SEAT BELT BUCKLES ARE A METAL BASE WITH A CHEAP PLASTIC PIECE PLACED IN IT THAT SLIDES TO "LOCK" THE SEAT BELT WEBBING AGAINST THE METAL IN LEU OF A LOCKING RACKETING SYSTEM USED ON MOST CARS WHERE CHILD SEATS WOULD/COULD GO. THIS PIECE HAS BROKEN FROM BOTH THIRD ROW SEAT POSITIONS. ONE FAILED TWO OR THREE YEARS AGO AND WAS REPLACE WITH A BETTER DESIGN UNIT. THE OTHER FAILED RECENTLY, BUT DUE TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD BEING OVER, DODGE REFUSES TO REPLACE THE DEVICE. THEREFORE I HAVE NO WAY TO SAFELY AND SECURELY BUCKLE MY CHILDREN IN THIS REAR SEAT. WITHOUT THIS BUCKLE BEING REPLACED, MY CHILD COULD BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED IN AN IMPACT SITUATION. SURELY OTHERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE SEAT BELT RE-TENSION SYSTEM. IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THE DOT APPROVED SUCH A DESIGN TO BEGIN WITH. I CANNOT AFFORD THE COST TO REPLACE THIS AND FEEL STRONGLY THAT DODGE SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO RECALL THESE SEATBELTS AND REPLACE WITH THE NEWER DESIGN. THE ACCELERATOR OF OUR 2007 DURANGO AT REST IS ABOUT 1 INCH LOWER THAN THE BRAKE. I HAVE SEVERAL TIMES STEPPED ON THE BRAKE TO PUT IT IN GEAR AND AM ALSO STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATOR, BECAUSE IT IS TOO CLOSE TO THE SAME HEIGHT. THE BRAKE IS SLIGHTLY HIGHER. THIS CAUSES QUITE A JERK WHEN I START THE CAR AND PUT IN GEAR QUICKLY. WE HAVE A 2000 DURANGO. THE SEPARATION HEIGHT OF THE BRAKE VS THE ACCELERATOR IS 2 3/4 INCHES. I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED THE SAME WITH IT. I TOOK THE CAR TO TWO DEALERS THAT SAID THERE IS NO ADJUSTMENT TO EITHER THE BRAKE OR THE ACCELERATOR. CHRYSLER CORP. OFFERS NO SOLUTION. I'D EXPECT THAT A RECALL FOR THE BRAKE ARM (BENT TO GIVE HIGHER AT REST) SHOULD BE DONE. I AM VERY AFRAID OF THIS CONDITION AND FEAR THAT IT WILL CAUSE ME TO LURCH AHEAD OR BACK AT SOME TIME WHEN I FORGET TO MAKE SURE I ONLY HAVE MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. EVERY SINGLE TIME WE FILL UP THE TANK ON MY 2007 DODGE DURANGO 4X4 LIMITED GAS OVERFLOWS. THERE IS ENOUGH FORCE THAT IT USUALLY SPRAYS OUT. I ESTIMATE THAT 1/4 TO 1/2 GALLON OF GASOLINE SPRAYS OUT OF THE TANK ONTO THE BODY OF THE CAR AND THE GROUND. THIS IS NOT ONLY EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT BUT ALSO VERY DANGEROUS TO MYSELF AND OTHER GAS STATION PATRONS! I WAS DRIVING AND A DEER RAN IN FRONT OF ME CAUSING FRONT BUMPER, HOOD, AND GRILL IMPACT AND MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR

WHEN USING THE PARKING BRAKE ON A HILL, THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE MUCH TENSION WHEN PRESSING THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. WHEN RELEASING THE BRAKE, IT DOES RELEASE, HOWEVER THE "BRAKE" DASH LIGHT STAYS ON EVEN AFTER REPEATED PULLINGS OF THE BRAKE RELEASE HANDLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
THIS TRUCK WAS PURCHASED USED IN NOVEMBER 2011 WITH 45000 MILES. I HAVE FILLED THE TANK 3 TIMES AND EVERY TIME THE PUMP AUTO SHUT-OFF CLICKS AND A FEW CUPS OF FUEL OVERFLOWS AND SPILLS DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE THE FUEL SPEWING BACK OUT OF THE TANK WHEN I AM PUMPING GAS...THE NOZZLE WILL CLICK OFF, THEN A GEYSER SHOOTS OUT AND IT'S A LOT! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO RECALL/FIX THIS PROBLEM. HOW LONG OR HOW MANY VEHICLES IS IT GOING TO TAKE BEFORE ANY ACTION WILL TAKE PLACE.
