THE SHOULDER GUIDE THAT GUIDES THE SEATBELT ON ITS TRACK FOUND CRACKED ON THE DRIVER SIDE, AND STARTING TO CRACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. NOTICED WHEN THE SEATBELT WOULD NOT RETRACT ALL THE WAY PROPERLY. FOUND UPON INVESTIGATION OF THE SEATBELT SYSTEM.
DRIVER SEATBELT RETRACTOR BROKEN. CAR WAS STATIONED OUTSIDE OF HOUSEHOLD.
WHILE DRIVING 2014 DURANGO (W/ 26313 MILES) ON HIGHWAY, THE "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" CAME ON, AND THE CAR SLOW DOWN TO 30 MPH AND IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE MORE THAN 30 MPH. I PULLED OVER AND INSPECT THE CAR AND FOUND OIL DRIPPING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE ENTIRE BOTTOM OF THE CAR WAS SOAKED WITH OIL WHICH CAN BE A FIRE HAZARD. UPON DOING A BRIEF RESEARCH ONLINE I FOUND MANY PEOPLE WHO OWNS A 2014 DODGE/ CHRYSLER WITH A PENTASTAR ENGINE REPORTED THAT THE CRACKED "PLASTIC ENGINE OIL FILTER HOUSING" CAUSING THE LEAK. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX MY CAR UNDER WARRANTY AND BLAMED ME FOR "OVER TORQUING" THE OIL FILTER.
REAR "RACE TRACK" STYLE TAIL LIGHTS ON THE BACK TAIL GATE FILL WITH WATER AND, AS A CONSEQUENCE, THE LEDS LOW ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, WHERE THE WATER POOLED,ARE NOT WORKING. THIS OCCURS DURING RAINFALL REGARDLESS OF STATIONARY OR UNDER MOTION. I DO NOT KNOW HOW LONG THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON. I NOTICED IT IN NOVEMBER 2017.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, AN ABNORMAL NOISE CAME FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER HEADREST FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NYLE MAXWELL CHRYSLER (13401 RANCH RD 620 N, AUSTIN, TX 78717), BUT A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE TECHNICIAN SAW THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE HEADREST NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,600. *BF *TR
I SUBMITTED A PREVIOUS REPORT RELATED TO THIS ISSUE. TODAY MY CAR WAS PARKED ON THE STREET AND TOTALLY STARTED ON ITS OWN. THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE A REMOTE START. I WAS WALKING TOWARDS MY CAR TRYING TO TURN OFF THE PANIC HORN WHICH WAS SOUNDING. I WAS APPROXIMATELY 15 TO 20 FEET AWAY FROM THE CAR WHEN IT STARTED. THIS IS THE 4TH TIME THIS CAR HAS STARTED ON ITS OWN. THE CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY THE OTHER THREE TIMES THIS OCCURRED, BUT THE DEALERSHIP CHECKED IT OUT AND SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND A REASON. I AM REALLY CONCERNED THIS COULD OCCUR WHILE THE CAR IS PARKED IN OUR GARAGE AND CAUSE CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING (THE FIRST 3 TIMES IT STARTED ON ITS OWN THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE.)*BF *TR
RACETRACK TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS WATER INSIDE AND BULB HAS BURNED OUT
FOR 2 YEARS WE HAD ISSUES WITH WORN INNER WALLS IN FRONT & STEERING SHAKE. WE BROUGHT IT IN WITH EXTENDED WARRANTY ALONG WITH VIDEO OF NOISE FROM SELF DIAGNOSTIC. OUR CONCERNS WERE DISMISSED BY DEALERSHIP & ANOTHER AUTOMOTIVE SHOP INFORMED ME THAT BOTH FRONT HUBS WERE BAD. CALLED DEALERSHIP AGAIN & SAME DISMISSAL. WE CHANGED BOTH HUBS AT OUR OWN EXPENSE AND PROBLEM FIXED. BUSHING WAS MAKING HORRENDOUS NOISE AND ALSO DISMISSED BY DEALERSHIP. CHANGED THAT ON OUR OWN EXPENSE AND ISSUE SOLVED. ALTERNATOR WAS SUPPOSEDLY CHANGED DUE TO RECALL BY DEALERSHIP & AFTER INSPECTING IT, WE HAVE BOTH AGREED THAT THE ALTERNATOR HASN'T BEEN TOUCHED. BOLTS SHOW NO SIGNS OF ANY TYPE OF TORQUE AND ALTERNATOR IS DUSTY AND DIRTY AS IS THE REST OF THE COMPONENTS IN ENGINE BAY WHICH ALSO LEAD US TO THE CONCLUSION. THIS VEHICLE WAS AND I BELIEVE STILL IS UNSAFE DUE TO RECALL CONCERNS AND THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP ABSOLUTELY REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE ANY WRONG DOING. I WILL BE SEEKING FURTHER ACTION AGAINST THEM AND HOPE THIS DOESN'T CONTINUE TO HAPPEN TO OTHERS.
WHILE ON A ROAD TRIP IN COLD WEATHER, MY CAR'S MAIN CONTROL CENTER SCREEN BLACKED OUT. IT HAD THE PHRASE "PLEASE INSERT UPDATED USB". I GOOGLED THIS ISSUE. MANY PEOPLE SAID THEY HAD A USB STICK TO PUT IN AND IT WORKED. I BOUGHT MY CAR NEW AND IT DID NOT COME WITH A STICK. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET AN UPDATE. THEY SAID IT WOULD BE $45. INSTEAD THEY ARE TELLING ME IT DIDN'T WORK AND I NEED A WHOLE NEW RADIO AT $335 PLUS INSTALL. SO BECAUSE OF A RADIO UPDATE MY DAY TRIP WAS RUINED, BECAUSE MY HEAT AND AIR WAS NOT WORKING! AFTER GOOGLING THIS ISSUE IT SEEMS TO BE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH DODGE/JEEPS. WHY ARE THEY NOT TAKING CARE OF THIS ISSUE WITHOUT THE EXPENSE GOING ONTO THE CUSTOMER?!!!
STANDING WATER IN THE RACE TRACK TAIL LIGHT FOR THE 3RD TIME IN 3 YEARS. DEALER HAS NOT FOUND THE ROOT CAUSE, JUST KEEPS REPLACING IT. CAUSES THE TAIL LIGHTS TO FLICKER ON AND OFF.
THE TAILLIGHTS ON THIS MODEL ARE CALLED "RACETRACK" LIGHTING AS DEEMED BY DODGE. THESE LIGHTS ARE ALL LED AND RUN THE ENTIRE WIDTH OF THE VEHICLE. OVER TIME, IT APPEARS THAT THE MATERIAL USED TO CONSTRUCT THE ASSEMBLY DEVELOPS CRACKS. THE ASSEMBLY MAY ALSO ALLOW WATER TO ENTER THE UNIT AND POOL. EVENTUALLY, THIS WILL IMPACT THE LED COMPONENTS OF THE UNIT THEREBY RENDERING THE VEHICLE A SAFETY HAZARD AS THE TAILLIGHTS WILL NO LONGER BE AS EFFECTIVE AS DESIGNED DUE TO UNIT FAILURE.
I PURCHASED A 2014 DODGE DURANGO ON NOV. 2017. I RETURNED THE CAR 2 DAYS LATER BECAUSE OF THE TAIL LIGHT HAD WATER IN IT AND THE PART OF IT WAS NOT WORKING. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TAIL LIGHT. SHORTLY AFTER THAT THE REAR CAMERA AND LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING AND WATER GOT IN THE TAIL LIGHT WHICH CAUSED IT TO FLICKER WHILE DRIVING. THE TAIL LIGHT EVENTUALLY STOPPED WORKING. THE DEALER REFERRED ME TO A DODGE DEALER THAT EVENTUALLY REPLACED THE TAIL LIGHT IN MARCH OF 2018. IT IS NOW FEBRUARY 2019 AND PART OF THE TAIL LIGHT STOPPED WORKING DUE TO WATER THAT SEEPED IN THE TAIL LIGHT. I'VE HAD THE TAIL LIGHT REPLACED TWICE IN LESS THAN 1 1/2 YRS OF OWNERSHIP AND NOW THE TAIL LIGHT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AGAIN.
LED RACETRACK LIGHTING ON REAR HATCH HAS WATER IN LENS AND IS CAUSING THE LIGHTING TO MALFUNCTION. THIS POSES A VISABILITY HAZARD. THE VEHICLE IS GARAGE KEPT AND HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. THERE ARE NO OBVIOUS CRACKS OR DAMAGE TO LIGHT LENS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND VERY COMMON AS I AM FINDING OUT.
WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE THE PASSENGER SIDE HEAD REST DEPLOYED WITHOUT IMPACT OR WARNING. FAILURE MILAGE WAS 46400. HAD LOCAL CHRYSLER DODGE INSPECT FAILURE AND WAS TOLD THAT HEAD REST NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF 709.49 IN ORDER TO HAVE THE AIR BAG LIGHT RESET.10/
REAR TAIL LIGHTS ALLOW WATER INTO THE HOUSING AND BURNS OUT LED BULBS
ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT MALFUNCTIONED AND DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING SLOWLY THROUGH A PARKING LOT. SPEED BUMPS WERE ENCOUNTERED, BUT I CANNOT REMEMBER IF THE AHR DEPLOYED WHILE PASSING ONE. PASSENGER SUFFERED HEAD INJURY.
WATER POOLING INSIDE RACE TRACK TAIL LIGHT, MY TRUCK BARELY HAS 30000 AND I'VE TAKING IT TO CARMAX IN LAUREL, MD AND THEY SAY IT'S NOT COVERED THROUGH WARRANTY IT SHOULD BECAUSE THEY SHOULD HAVE BETTER RACE TRACK TAIL LIGHTS TO PREVENT WATER FROM GOING IN THE LIGHT AND THE LIGHT BULB GOING OFF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS WATER IN THE TAIL LIGHTS AND THEY WERE PARTIALLY INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT ALSO DETECTED A BURNING ODOR. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MCGRATH CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (4610 CENTER POINT RD NE, CEDAR RAPIDS, IA 52402, (319) 393-4610) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TAIL LIGHTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
REAR LIGHT BAR HAS SHORTED. THERE IS WATER INSIDE THE ASSEMBLY
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY SOMETHING EXPLODED LOUD INSIDE THE CAR. I SCREAMED AND AT THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT, I SAW MY DAUGHTERS HEAD AND BODY MOVING FORWARD AS SHE WAS IMPACTED BY THE SEAT. THEN I NOTICED THAT THE HEADREST POPPED AND HIT MY DAUGHTER STRONGLY IN THE HEAD. I WENT RIGHT AWAY TO BIG O DODGE 2645 LAURENS RD, GREENVILLE, SC 29607. THE TECHNICIAN LOOKED AT THE HEADREST AND TOLD ME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO BUSY. THEY GAVE ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR A WEEK LATER AND ALSO TOLD ME TO CALL CHRYSLER 800-992-1997 TO SEE IF THEY COVER THE PART. I TALKED TO ARIANA GONZALEZ 9:45AM AND SHE SAID SHE WAS GOING TO CALL BIG O DODGE TO VERIFY WHAT CAN BE DONE, BUT SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I CALLED AGAIN CHRYSLER AND TALKED TO JOEL AND HE SAID THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL THE CAR IS DIAGNOSED. I EMPHASIZED THAT THIS IS REALLY DANGEROUS AND THAT I AM AFRAID THAT THIS HAPPENS TO MY DRIVER'S SEAT WHILE I AM DRIVING. THIS IS A GREAT SAFETY HAZARD. IF THIS EXPLODES IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT WHILE DRIVING IT CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS MY DAILY USE VEHICLE AND I NEED THIS TO BE SOLVED RIGHT AWAY, AND PREVENT MANY OTHER PEOPLE USING DOGDE FROM BEING HARMED.
AFTER MAKING A LEFT TURN AT AN INTERSECTION, THE PASSENGER SIDE ACTIVE HEADREST DEPLOYED. NO OTHER SAFETY SYSTEMS ACTIVATED, AND NO WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED ON THE DASH. THE DRIVER-SIDE HEADREST DID NOT DEPLOY. SPEED WAS LESS THAN 30 MPH. LOOKING AT THE HEADREST, IT APPEARS THAT THE PLASTIC CLIPS THAT HOLD IT IN PLACE FAILED, CAUSING THE DEPLOYMENT. SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTOGRAPHS. THE VEHICLE HAD 38,402 MILES AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT
HELLO, I JUST PURCHASED A 2014 DODGE DURANGO LIMITED AWD W/APPROXIMATELY 30,000 MILES. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS AND ON SEPTEMBER 4/5TH NOTICE HUGE PUDDLES OF OIL IN OUR DRIVEWAY. MY WIFE ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE IT THAT MORNING, BUT HEARD WEIRD NOISES "SPUTTERING NOISES" IN HER OWN WORDS. ONCE SHE TOLD ME OF THE ISSUE, SEVERAL HOURS LATER I STARTED THE DURANGO AND HEARD SIMILAR NOISES. LOOKING UNDER THE VEHICLE I NOTICE OIL ON THE UNDER CARRIAGE OF THE CAR STRETCHING MAYBE 5 FEET IN LENGTH. I CALLED CHRYSLER ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND NOTIFIED THEM OF THE ISSUE. THEY SENT OVER A TOW AND ONCE THE DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, THEY SAID IT WAS AN OIL COOLER LEAK. UPON READING SEVERAL FORUMS THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE.
THERE IS A LEAK ON THE LED TAILLIGHTS. WATER IS NOW TRAPPED INSIDE MY TAILLIGHTS. THIS IS CAUSING MY TAILLIGHTS TO SHORT CIRCUIT MAKING IT EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO BRAKE AND DRIVE AT NIGHT. I HAVE HEARD FROM MANY OTHER 2014 DURANGO OWNERS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM.
AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON. JUST HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND HAD TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY TO REPLACE THE MODULE IN THE 2014 JEEP CHEROKEE. SEEMS FISHY. ARE WE SURE THERE ISN'T A RECALL?????
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE WHEN THERE WAS AN EXPLODING SOUND IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY HIT TO THE BACK OF HER HEAD. SHE IS CURRENTLY IN A LOT OF PAIN FROM HER NECK AND HAS A NICE HEADACHE TO ACCOMPANY IT. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE HEADREST DEPLOYED ON IT OWN.
ALTERNATOR IS NOT STAYING CHARGED. HAD TO BE JUMPED MORE THAN ONCE BECAUSE I WILL GET SOMEWHERE AND THE CAR WON'T START. MECHANIC TESTED AND FOUND THE ALTERNATOR IS NOT FULLY CHARGING. GETTING VERY FRUSTRATED THAT I HAVE A VEHICLE THAT IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD ALREADY HAVING PROBLEMS! IF THERE IS A RECALL WHY IS MY VIN NUMBER NOT INCLUDED???? ITS APPARENT THAT THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR OF MY VEHICLE!
WATER GETTING INTO THE REAR HATCH LIGHT [BAR] ON LIFT GATE, CAUSING THE L.E.D. LIGHT TO BURN OUT. SEEMS TO BE NOT SEALED PROPERLY FROM FACTORY. WHETHER IT IS SITTING, OR MOBILE, THE WATER STILL GETS INTO THE ASSEMBLY.
2014 DODGE DURANGO - THE MAIN CONTROL PANEL IN THE CAR FREEZES WHICH RESULTS IN THE BACK UP CAMERA DOES NOT TURN ON, NOT BEING ABLE TO ADJUST THE VOLUME OF THE SYSTEM, NOT BEING ABLE TO ADJUST THE CLIMATE CONTROLS, AND THE NAVIGATION FREEZES. THIS CAN HAPPEN EITHER WHICH THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR WHILE RUNNING. WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER WHO TOLD US MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS AFTER ONE OF THE RECALL SOFTWARE UPDATES THAT WAS ISSUED AND THEY ASSUMED A FUTURE SOFTWARE UPDATE WOULD FIX THE ISSUE. IT HAS BEEN AT LEAST 3 YEARS AND NO UPDATES HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM.
Rear racetrack lighting fills with water. Could short out causing fire or no lights. Have had replaced in 2017. Now water leaking again. Common issue when searched for. Called dealers said dodge warranty has not been covering issue now. Have max care coverage.
THE HEADREST OF THE PASSENGER SEAT SUDDENLY DEPLOYED WITHOUT ANY ACCIDENT WHEN THE VEHICLE DOESN'T MOVE . PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER USED OFF-ROAD. MY CAR HAS ONLY 35000 KM ON ITS ODOMETER AND NEVER BEEN INVOLVED TO ANY ACCIDENTS. IT SEEMS LIKE MANUFACTURER DEFECT. THE HEADREST DEPLOYED BECAUSE ALL PLASTIC LATCHES WERE DAMAGED DUE TO POOR QUALITY OF MATEREAL. I HAVE CONTACTED WITH MY LOKAL DEALER BUT HAD NO ANY HELP. I'M AFRAID THAT SAME COULD HAPPEN WITH DRIVER'S SIDE HEADREST WHILE DRIVING THAT ABLE TO LEAD FATAL ACCIDENT. PLEASE HELP PEOPLE TO BE SAFE, CHRYSLER DOESN'T WHANT TO HEAR US AT ALL ! PLEASE RAISE AN INVESTIGATION TO INITIATE RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS BEGAN FLASHING. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, TURNED OFF, AND WOULD NOT RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TIRE ONE IN GRAND FORK, SOUTH DAKOTA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR FAILED AND DRAINED THE BATTERY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
THERE HAVE BEEN REPORTED ISSUES OF THE UCONNECT STEREO SCREEN GOING BLACK, AND BEING INOPERABLE, RESULTING IN THE OWNER HAVING TO REPLACE THE STEREO COMPLETELY, IF THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT CORRECT IT WITH A HARD RESET VIA THEIR DIAGNOSTIC MACHINES. INFORMED BY "ROYAL" WITH THE ONLINE DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, THIS ISN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTIES OR OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTIES. SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE FROM 2012 TO THE PRESENT AND THE DEALERSHIPS NEED TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COVERING THE COST OF THIS DEFECT. I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE IN 2014, BRAND NEW, AND THIS IS THE 3RD YEAR HAVING THE TRUCK. STEREOS DO NOT JUST GO BLACK, I'VE OWNED PLENTY (MORE LUXURY LINED THAN DODGES). I'VE BEEN DRIVING WITH A BLACK STEREO SCREEN SINCE 7/26/2017 - UNACCEPTABLE.

THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT IS SHOWING UP AS IF TO HAVE A MALFUNCTION. A RECALL WAS ISSUED BY NHTSA, HOWEVER, IF I ENTER MY VIN NUMBER IT DOES NOT SHOW A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE LIGHT/ALERT CAME ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED OUT OF GEAR INDEPENDENTLY, ROLLED DOWN A HILL, AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO STATION CHRYSLER JEEP OF MANSFIELD (91 CHAUNCY ST, MANSFIELD, MA 02048), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. SHOP CLAIMS IT'S COSMETIC AND NOT ELECTRICAL. HEADREST LATCH IS BROKEN AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACES $802 PARTS AND LABOR. I BELIEVE IT'S 1) ELECTRICAL & 2)(SECOND PLACE ON COMPLAINT) POOR HEADREST CONSTRUCTION. APPROX DATE OF INCIDENT LISTED.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,000.
THE CAR HAS ALWAYS "RADDLED" SINCE I FIRST BOUGHT IT. I WAS TOLD THE PROBLEM WAS THE TIRES AND THAT THEY'D BEEN ROTATED AND SHOULD BE FIXED. YESTERDAY, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED GEARS WHILE DRIVING, HORN STARTED HONKING UNCONTROLLABLY UNTIL I HAD TO REMOVE THE FUSE, THE SCREENS ALL BLANKED OUT AND FLASHED WARNINGS, HEADRESTS VOLUNTARILY FOLDING... ALL WHILE MY 3 CHILDREN WERE IN THE CAR DURING A HURRICANE. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET
MY DRIVER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND IT IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD. THE DEPLOYMENT ALMOST CAUSED ME TO WRECK BUT I WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN MY VEHICLE TO COME TO A STOP IN THE OTHER LANE. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND DODGE WITH NO HELP. THERE EQUIPMENT MALFUNCTION AND I HAVE TO PAY $684 TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. KEEP IN MIND IT IS SUPPOSE TO DEPLOY IN A REAR END COLLISION AND THERE WAS NO COLLISION. IT WAS A SPONTANEOUS DEPLOYMENT.
VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO PARK, BUT RUNNING, IN MY DRIVEWAY. GOT OUT TO LET PASSENGERS OUT. TURNED AROUND TO GET BACK IN AND CAR STARTED DRIVING ITSELF FORWARD, ALMOST HITTING MY CHILD. MANAGED TO JUMP IN AND STOP IT AFTER IT HIT MY HUSBAND'S CAR WITH THE OPEN DRIVER DOOR. THE SHIFTER KNOB HAS MOVED ITSELF INTO THE DRIVE POSITION AND ACTUALLY SHIFTED GEARS WITHOUT THE BRAKE BEING PRESSED.

THE TECHNICIAN REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.
A/C WILL NOT WORK--RELAY THAT IS BUILT INTO THE POWER MODULE WILL NOT FUNCTION--DEALER SAYS THEY WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE EXPENSIVE MODULE. CAN NOT GET THE PART.

2014 DODGE DURANGO CITADEL 5.7 LITER REAR RACETRACK LED LIGHTING BURNED OUT AT LOWER RIGHT SIDE BOTTOM. IT APPEARS WATER HAS ENTERED AND BURNED OUT THE LED BULBS IN THAT AREA.
THE REAR LIFT GATE LED "RACETRACK" TAILLIGHTS CAN BECOME FILLED WITH WATER. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MANY. WATER IN THE TAIL LIGHTS CAN CAUSE A SHORT WHICH COULD BE A FIRE HAZARD. TAIL LIGHTS MAY ALSO STOP WORKING WITH IS ALSO A SAFETY HAZARD. VEHICLE OWNERS THAT ARE OUTSIDE FACTORY WARRANTY ARE FORCED TO PAY OVER $1,000 TO HAVE LIGHTS REPLACED. RACETRACK TAIL LIGHTS BURNT OUT FROM NORMAL USE BECAUSE THE PART SUFFERED A COMMON MANUFACTURING DEFECT. THIS PART IS FLAWED AND NEEDS TO BE REDESIGNED AND ISSUED A RECALL TO ALL RACETRACK OWNERS.
